More damage taken for Sableye, thanks to a horrifying tidal wave that had left even the trainers drenched. Alice picked herself up from the ground after a few minutes of shock, hacking and coughing. Now she was covered in dirt and shivering from the elements, although thankfully Springtide Isle was more warm than the cold most of Fizzytopia was experiencing at this time. “Oh my god. Fuck everything.” The idol growled adamantly, like some stereotypical anime antagonist. Thank goodness they had used Recover, or her ghost would have been sitting this round out. He didn't even look all that hurt, which was a relief, even if he was. The lack of emotive eyes, and his jittery tendencies just made him always look sketchy and wired, honestly. Who didn't want what he was obviously having?

“Jasper, get in there with a Nature Power, and make this one count!” She ordered. They had to be careful, what with one of the allied Pokemon having charged onto the giant's belly, but with such an enormous opponent there was grand scope for where the attack could land. Heck, there were various options for what kind of elemental whack the move would end up conjuring, or even what its base power would be. Jasper's bright eyes began to gleam with eerie power as the ghost conducted his magic, and the drenched trainer looked on with her glasses in her hand, trembling with adrenaline and a lust for revenge. They were so damn close now, time to finish this on a high note before they were drowned, squashed or devoured.

The onslaught blasted into the weary king, and ultimately it was too much for him to handle. The gargantuan Pokemon exploded with Dynamax energy and shrunk back down to his normal size and form. Shortly after, the swirling red clouds dissipated and the sky was tranquil once more.

Almost on cue, an army of Galarian Meowth and Delibird stormed the beach and surrounded their slumbering king. They tied ropes around his arms and legs, trying fruitlessly to drag him away, but the Snorlax’s girth was just too much. They scurried away and a few moments later pulled a raft up along the coastline and onto the beach below the Snorlax King. The squadron of Delibird then used a myriad of Presents to blast away at the sandy beach below the Snorlax and let gravity cause the behemoth to slide down onto the raft below. From there on, the task was only slightly less arduous to sail him away back to a place where he wouldn’t be disturbed.

To apologize for all of the troubles the gluttonous king put the people of Fizzytopia through time and time again, a few of the remaining Delibird left behind an assortment of goodies and motioned that it was probably time to put their king on a proper diet. They waved farewell to the trainers and flew off to rejoin the raft where their leader was being ferried away.

The sudden tsunami following her assault had certainly smarted, but it would take more than a wave of water to push the Tyranitar down and the Snorlax King was definitely weary. Shaking herself off, Attila readied herself for another assault, only to stagger a bit, her overuse of Superpower leaving her physically aching. She could hear the human yelling, ordering her to maintain pressure and to help finish the fat pokemon off, and as she knelt there, the fire in the eyes of her apparent companions was clear, as was the value of teamwork. Yes, she had an armoured body that was nigh impervious, but at the same time that hide was her disadvantage, this large body somewhat more cumbersome than what she was used to as a Larvitar.

Building up her strength following a very brief breather, her eyes looked down at the pool beneath her, and looking at her reflection, something struck her. Despite her monstrous appearance and size, the Snorlax was vastly bigger and stronger, as she recalled the events that halloween, whereby she visited that one mansion in search of candy, and the whole scene on entering the pokecenter there whereby she found herself dwarfed by a sextet of colossal pokemon. An illusion, yes, but at the same time the situation she was in was ironic. That whole thing was indeed something of a prophecy, and the tyranitar could do little but blink, before giving a small chuckle, which quickly erupted into a booming laugh. Oh, how she had learned a harsh lesson and how it had changed her! Glancing once again at the Snorlax, energy coursed through her as she took two lumbering steps back, inhaling and charging energy in her maw. The king was on the ropes, and as powerful attacks flew, she unleashed her own hyper beam at it, the energy ray blasting forth at great speeds and then everything went white...

...Attila opened her eyes slowly, giving her head a shake. That had taken so much out of her, and she was ready to take a nap, but as she looked up from her kneeling position, she could see the fruits of her labours. The Snorlax King was busy being bundled away on a large raft by some bearded rats of some sort and a bunch of birds, significantly smaller, and the skies above had cleared up again. She climbed to her feet slowly, giving an occasional tremor from her aching form, and glanced around her, her fellow fighters equally battered and bruised, but victorious. There was also that human who got her to the position, collecting a small bounty from the Delibird, and his scrutiny at those black discs. Weren't TMs usually clear discs? These looked like old vinyls! The human then noticed her and approached with a confident smirk on his face. She wanted a worthy opponent, and she damn well found one, learning her limits. Glaring down at Alex, the rock type contemplated squashing him there and then, but at the same time there was something about him that garnered something unusual, some strange feeling. Almost like...respect. Despite being a useless human cripple, he stood defiant against this mighty opponent and gave her a thrilling bout, and had mentored her with the rest of his flunkies.

At that moment, Alex was given a considerable surprise as Attila gave a toothy grin and foisted her hefty claw forward, hand opened for him to accept, and he did so as the pair shook their limbs, a sign of mutual respect and understanding. The once tiny terror with delusions of grandeur still had a long way to go, but she was at the very least starting to look the part of a proper Queen of the Mountain.

"YES!" cheered Keith and Willa simultaneously as the Gigantamaxing wore off, as the Snorlax King returned to normal.

"I don't believe it, they've done it!" the reporter was exclaiming. "The Snorlax has been defeated and the Eggs are safe! Captain Stomach and the various Trainers gathered today have truly shown the meaning of teamwork in defending Springtide Isle from this hungry beast!"

On the island itself, Captain Stomach breathed a sigh of relief. A number of odd-looking Meowth and normal-looking Delibird were working together to get their unconscious king away safely, after which some of the Delibird left some gifts as a token of apology. "A job well done," the bold blob stated impressively. "Truly, it took the combined efforts of us all to thwart the Snorlax King's greed." He gave respectful bows to some of the Pokémon- to the Kingler, whose frequent use of Wide Guard was so crucial to their survival of the mountainous monarch's more widespread moves; to the little Gible, whose Sand Attacks no doubt prevented some devastating blows from hitting their intended target; to the Togetic who played a wonderful supporting role with moves like Life Dew and Lucky Chant; and really, to everyone, just for hitting hard and wearing down that beast. Resisting the urge to wolf down all the Sitrus Berries right then and there, Captain Stomach took a stubby armful of goodies. "And now I must be off," he declared to the others. "But fear not- whenever someone goes back to the buffet of evil for seconds, I'll be there to deliver the indigestion of justice. Whenever evildoers partake in their nefarious appetizers, I'll be there to stop the main course! Whenever someone's had their fill of dastardly deeds, I'll be their to deliver their just desserts!! Until then... Captain Stomach AWAY!!!" And with that, he took off, Flying away with his Superhero Cape flapping behind him.

In a completely unrelated instance, Keith later walked into the kitchen alongside Willa, who was feeling much better. "I think it was Phantump's leaves," Willa was saying. "I feel completely fine now."

"That's wonderful," Keith smiled. "So let's- wha- where'd all this come from?" he added, noticing a small pile of money, Rare Candies, Sitrus Berries, and Technical Machines haphazardly piled up on the kitchen table.

"Swa-" Keith heard from just outside the kitchen door. As he looked, he saw Crabbe looking seemingly just as surprised by the pile of goodies as Keith had been. At this, Keith and Willa exchanged sly grins, both having a pretty decent idea as to who got them this stuff now.

They had realised that the end was nigh, and that with two of their allies restored, they had more than a solid chance of beating this colossus if they just put their strength together and went all out. Alice and Jasper did the same, combining their Nature Power with the ferocity of the others, and soon the Snorlax King had been overwhelmed. The swirling red clouds and ominous storm above them slowed to a stop, dissipating so that the Springtide sun could break through the crimson and restore the setting to normalcy. The blonde was overcome with relief, jellied legs giving away so that her keester dropped into the sand. Jasper turned with an impish chuckle, stalking over so that he could comfort his dazed human. Another boss fight survived. Good grief.

“Ohh. Delibird. And those things.” Alice added more quietly. Maybe she couldn't really say anything given that her Sableye looked like the kind of creature that would actually devour your soul and pry out your eyes for giggles, but she always thought that Galarian Meowth looked absolutely crazy. It was the wide eyes, untidy muck-coloured fur and the restlessness. Still, the Delibird were cute even when they were blowing up the sand. She probably should have moved away, but didn't, instead just watching in a heap as the King was dragged away to slumber in safety and solitude.

“I'd rather him than me.” Alice remarked at the mention of a diet, after Jasper had translated through brief charades. She still felt shaken, and so was quite happy to let the other trainers and Pokemon make a beeline for the rewards and for her to take her own after. Jasper eventually went ahead to do the honours before all was taken and nothing was left for them, and Alice smiled appreciatively at her little scavenger, giving him some pets as she sorted out her bounty. All of this would come in handy, the berries included. If not for pokeblocks or poffin, then surely on some future adventure, like always!

“We should probably go home...” Alice said, glasses back on, looking towards the pier. She didn't make a single effort to move. “... You might have to drag me, though.”

Somehow, Jasper grinned wider. He did love a challenge.
