This is a really bittersweet day for me. While I am happy to make it this far, as others I have known were not so lucky, 35 was the age that when I was 3-4 years old I picked as when I'd be a full adult.
I.e., I always believed that I would get married this year, and I should build my entire life and career towards culminating in a magical 2022-2023. As is, that's not going to happen, although I am on the right track compared to where I was 5 years ago, a broken mess with a melted brain and evaporating job prospects. Ironically, COVID-19 which has destroyed so much, was just a fire that cleared the field and set the stage for my rebirth. COVID killed some people close to me but it let me be reborn. So, here's to a strong age 35 season, and hopefully I'll be able to muscle the resources to make 36 that magical year I dreamed of all those decades ago.
