After grabbing her bag, Liza went to go pick up her starter from the daycare and then chartered her way to regions beyond the one she grew up in in order to become a Coordinator. Of course that was nearly a decade ago...now, Liza had spent a good amount of her time traveling the world while also participating in her fair share of Contests, she was thinking of starting something new... “So will you do it?” her mother happily asked. “Of course I’ll help!” The next morning Liza made the proper arrangements and got the Blissey transferred over to her. “Without question she’s the most hardworking Blissey I have ever seen; she just needs a partner that can match her and fill in what she lacks. I know that if anyone can do it, you can!” the words of her mother ringing in her head as the Lass took herself to the location of an abandoned and in need of much repair, Pokémon Center. She pressed the button on the Pokéball and called out her new partner, the light silvery showered a dazzling sparkle as the Happiness Pokémon revealed herself. “Blissey! Bliss!” “Oh hi…I’m Liza and...oh, wait!” she fumbled as she retrieved two other Pokéballs from her bag, calling out her Audino Jessie and Wigglytuff Big Sis to join her side. “I figured that a place just starting out will need all the help it can get.” Wigglytuff came up and offered the Blissey a Nurse’s hat, giving a quick glance over to the trainer’s other Pokémon Audino, who also approached...the three seemed to be in deep conversation before the Blissey gracefully accepted the invitation. Liza walked up to the plate and introduced herself properly, “I know that the circumstances aren’t perfect and we have a whole lot to do to get this place up and running, but trust me these two aren’t even the tip of the iceberg, I have a good amount of Pokémon that are all considered quite skilled in a variety of things that could come in handy in a pinch...” Something Liza learned from her journey was that life had a way of throwing its punches and you just had to roll with them, even after funding the sixteen grand that the place needed to get refurbished and reconstructed, they still had a whole lot more they had to do before the place could help anyone... Blissey looked at the trainer exceptionally, and after a few praising words from the two trainer’s Pokémon she could hardly refuse the assistance they would surely bring to the table, touched by the genuine action for the cause, Blissey bowed before introducing herself again. This time, as her new trainer’s Pokémon. “Blissey!” Liza smiled but could hardly contain her excitement, “Welcome to the team, Evelyn!” ~*~*~ Trading a whopping $20,000 Pokedollars for Naru's Blissey (16k) and Alolan Raichu (4k). There was an awkward exchange where the worker tried explaining how everything was more or less electronic, even if cards were used, ‘touch less’ technology was slowly making even that obsolete. Pressing of the button he opened the capsule that revealed in a silvery white light a penguin Pokémon, “Piplup!” The blue water starter announced itself. “My story is a long one, but it’s not important for you to know it- all that matters now is that you have a strong will because our journey may take a long time in order to achieve something great, we’ll need to put everything we have because in order to take it, we’re going to need to want it.” He was realizing now he was starting to sound a lot like an informercial. Somehow Piplup somehow looked inspired, if the glossy eyes he gave his new trainer were anything to go by. “Pip!” Maybe it was too soon to for him to give this young boy that came out of never where any sort of trust, but the matter in which no one else seemed to want him might’ve been the catalyst in which he felt unwanted, but now there was someone that needed him, so of course he was going to give it his all. “I’ll take that as a yes, welcome and oh since you look quite dignified, I’ll give you the name Emperor how does that sound?” Though it was without question, with the way Piplup proudly puffed out his chest and placed his flippers at the side of his hips, looking upward and rising itself on its feet…he liked the name. “Piplup!” Though while he questioned what or who brought him here...well, that wasn’t any of his own concern, if someone or something wished for him to be alive again. What other choice did he have but to heed the call, this wasn’t like a ghost that couldn’t move on to the next life thereafter, he didn’t wish for it…though he would be lying if he said he didn’t have any regrets. “Oh sorry, there’s just a lot on my mind…say, I got it- where do you go when you need information…come on Emp, let’s go to the library.” OoC: Trading over $250 Pokedollars to Missingno. She started glancing around- as they had ventured onto the foot of the Clawmark Mountain Range, the terrain had grown rough and rocky. A number of Normal Form Geodude could be seen hovering lazily around, but it was a sound from an unseen source that got Maribel to stop in her tracks. "...Aunt Helena, do you hear that?" she breathed. "...I think so," Helena murmured, after taking a second to listen intently. "It sounds like someone's eating...?" "And I think I know what it is," Maribel stated. Sure enough, moments later, a green hornlike protrusion poked out of the ground, and the munching sounds became more pronounced. Finally, the Pokémon emerged, eating the dirt that had been keeping it concealed underground. "It is! It's a Larvitar!" Maribel gasped, making a valiant effort to not shriek with glee as she took out her Rotom Phone. "Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokémon. A Rock and Ground-type," said Rotom. "Larvitar is born underground and can't emerge until it's eaten an entire mountain's worth of soil. Yeah, right. An entire mountain? What a load of-" "Rotom, enough of that," Maribel admonished her phone. "Obviously it doesn't eat it all at once. Besides, if this Larvitar just finished eating its mountain..." "...where are its parents?" finished Helena. Larvitar, indeed, was glancing around, almost expectantly. "...lar? Laaaaar?" it was calling out. Helena and Maribel exchanged looks. "I can taste what it's feeling, it's so alone and afraid," Helena whispered. "We can't just leave it," Maribel stated. With that, she stepped forward. "Larvitar?" she said. Larvitar wheeled around. "Lar?!" it exclaimed. Initially taken aback by Maribel's presence, it continued to look up at her. "...lar?" it questioned, tilting its head. Maribel maintained eye contact with Larvitar, smiling reassuringly. "This is your first time above ground, isn't it?" she asked. "It's OK- it's gotta be a bit scary, but it's really nice up here. "...vitar," Larvitar considered. At this, Maribel reached for her bag, and after a moment of rummaging, pulled out a plastic bag full of dirt. "I've been holding onto this in the hopes that I'd get a chance just like this," she explained, opening the bag and offering the dirt within to Larvitar. "Lar...?" Larvitar murmured. She took a tiny bit of the dirt and ate it cautiously, but then her eyes lit up. "Lar! Larvitar~" she exclaimed happily, all but diving into the bag and devouring all the dirt. "Only you would carry around a bag of dirt," Rotom sighed. Maribel ignored this. "Do you like it?" she asked Larvitar. "From what I've read, this sort of soil is supposed to be especially tasty for your kind- oof!" she laughed, for Larvitar, by way of an answer, tackle-hugged Maribel, knocking her to the ground in the process. "I take that as a yes," she laughed, hugging Larvitar back. "You gotta be careful with those tackle hugs, though, especially as you get bigger, OK?" "Lar laaaar!" Larvitar nodded firmly, smiling up at Maribel. Maribel continued to smile back. "...Larvitar, how would you like to come along with me?" she asked. As she spoke, she took a Dusk Ball out of her bag and held it out to the Rock/Ground-type. "Lar! Larvitaaar!" Larvitar declared. She smacked a stubby arm into the ball's button, and the ball opened up, sucking Larvitar inside before slamming shut. The ball wobbled energetically in Maribel's hand before clicking shut. "Larvitar has been registered to your Pokédex!" Rotom chimed in. "YES!" Maribel exploded, leaping back up to her feet. "I've wanted one for so long, and I finally have a Larvitar!" she declared, holding the ball up high. "Way to go!" Helena cheered. "I know you couldn't understand what she was saying, but I think you can imagine her actions said it all, right?" Maribel nodded. "She seems really happy," she said. "I hope I can do a good job raising her. Helena placed a hand on her niece's shoulder. "I know you can," she smiled. "Shall we keep going?" ~~~~~ Some time later, they had veered away from the Clawmark Mountain Range, and were carefully navigating the jagged, uneven terrain of Route 8. The mountains still loomed behind them, so the ground below continued to be rough and rocky. "You're handling this pretty well," Helena observed, watching Maribel clamber over the rocks. "Dad showed me how he always climbed all over the Jagged Pass when he took us all to Lavaridge Town that one time," Maribel replied. "We were visiting Grandma Leona and Grampa Patrick for Christmas, I was 7, I think." "Oh, yeah, that was before the time distortion," nodded Helena. "So it both happened previously and hasn't happened yet, that's a little confusi- MARIBEL!" she exclaimed, for at that moment, Maribel slipped on a rock and took a tumble. "Maribel! Are you OK?" Helena asked, rushing over at once. Maribel was sitting on the ground, gritting her teeth. Helena could see at once that she had scraped her knee on the rocks. "Ow, ow, that stings... I- I'm OK, Aunt Helena, just... Ouch," she winced. "Alright, not a problem," Helena stated. She began to eat away at Maribel's distress as she worked at cleaning up the wound as best she could. And then, finally, Helena held her hands close together, and a softly glowing egg materialized between them. Helena then spread her arms apart, and the egg drifted forward, passing into Maribel's wounded knee. Almost immediately, the damage began to undo itself, until the knee looked as good as new. "How's that feel?" Helena asked. Maribel did not answer right away. Slowly, carefully, she stood back up, and smiled as she walked around. "...it feels like nothing had ever happened! Thanks so much, Aunt Helena," she smiled, hugging Helena. "Oh, it's no problem," Helena smiled, hugging Maribel back. "I'm just glad you're OK. You gotta be a bit more careful on those rocks, though, OK?" "OK," agreed Maribel. "Um... Aunt Helena?" she added, now looking behind the Banette in human form. "There's a Pokémon staring at us." "Oh, I know," Helena said matter-of-factly. "I've been tasting its bewilderment for a few minutes now." And she turned around, to see a large pink creature staring at her, mouth agape. "Hello," she greeted the Blissey. "...how did you do that?" the Blissey demanded. "I scarcely even see other Pokémon that can use Soft-Boiled, but a human? That's just plain unheard of!" Helena smiled. "Well, I'm not exactly your average human," she replied. She focused, and in an instant, had resumed her Banette form. She grinned at the flabbergasted Blissey before turning back into her human form. "I was human when I was alive," she explained. "These wristbands are what's called the Shifticuffs, they let me look like I did in life again." "I... wow," Blissey exhaled. "But... since when can Banette learn Soft-Boiled?" she added. "The Technical Machines in this region have far fewer restrictions than elsewhere," explained Helena. "It's possible for Pokémon to learn moves they normally wouldn't. And there's one that teaches Soft-Boiled." "...Interesting," nodded Blissey. She seemed to have recovered from her initial shock, and now looked and sounded more intrigued than anything else. "I must say, your medical expertise looks top-notch. You did very well in treating this small girl's wound. How did you keep her so calm?" "Well, this is actually my niece, Maribel," explained Helena. "She's not one to panic in any case, but I still used my ability to eat the emotions of others to eat away at any nervousness she might have been feeling. It's something all Shuppet and Banette can do, since we feed on negative emotions." "...and using that to help with treating a patient- inspired!" murmured Blissey. "All right- I've made my decision. I would like to go with you! Uh... provided you approve, of course," she added sheepishly. But Helena was beaming. "Oh, that would be great!" she said. "I run a Pokémon Center in the town of Sludge Wave Coast, I think you would work really well with my other Pokémon and me." As she said this, Helena produced a Heal Ball from her bag. "Come with me, Blissey!" she declared. "Go! Heal Ball!" And she threw the Heal Ball- Blissey made no effort to resist as the ball struck her and sucked her inside. It fell to the ground, rocking back and forth for but a moment before it fell still. "Way to go, Aunt Helena!" cheered Maribel. "Ha haaa, yes!" cheered Helena. She ran over and scooped up the Heal Ball, and held it up high. "Blissey is mine!" Another of Helena's Heal Balls opened up at that moment, and the Pokémon that emerged gave a salute. "Woooobbuffet!" Smiley chimed in. "Hey, Aunt Helena, that reminds me," Maribel said suddenly. "Can I have a battle against you and Smiley? I want to see how well we can do!" She had already taken out a Great Ball and was clutching it in her hand eagerly. Helena beamed. "That sounds great!" she said. "Just to warn you, though, we're plenty strong!" "I'd expect nothing less," nodded Maribel, and she threw the Great Ball. "Come out- Granbull!" OOC: Trading ₽10,500 to Lit for his Larvitar and Blissey. Thanks!  No nickname for the Larvitar, but moving her into Dusk Ball #3 of 5, discarding her Gigaton Ball in the process. And naming the Blissey Omelette.*Trade Closed*
