Awesome! You should make more of those comics. I'm curious about the daily lives of Jess and Blue, and the evil plots of Lilly. It seems like it has much potential.

This isn't actually artwork, but I got inspired to make an AMV for the first time in a long time a few days ago. As soon as I heard the song, it immediately made me think of the short film "Hotarubi no Mori e" (Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light), a cute little love story between a ghost and a girl by the author of "Natsume Yuujinchou". The vid itself is short (hence why it was easy to finish), but I hope you like it.

I have to say that the AMV is pretty well done. After some three or four years of attending multiple anime conventions in my late teens and early 20s, I've seen a lot of AMVs and a lot of shit AMVs. This one is easily one of the better ones I've seen. For one thing, there are no fansubs!

The song fits the anime, the timing of the song fit the scenes, and despite being only a minute and a half long, it's really not that short (for an AMV). Also, it has a quality in an AMV which I like: It makes me curious about the anime. Sure I'll probably never watch it, but I was intrigued by scenes and piqued my interest enough to look it up on Wiki. NOTE: That's as close to me watching the show will get nowadays.

So yeah. 5/5 stars(platters).

Since I'm in a movie-making mood, I went ahead and whipped up another quick AMV today - this time for my real recent favorite: Natsume Yuujinchou. It's shorter and not as accessible at the other one since it relates directly to the final episode of the fourth season (no sneak peeking, Talon), but I thought I'd post it anyway.

So, a quick summary of what's going on in the video for everyone those who don't know the story:

A bored but brilliant boy meets a dumb but cheerful girl. She tries to make friends with him, and though he rebuffs her, she hangs out with him anyway. One day, it's discovered she committed suicide. The boy blames himself and becomes a shut-in. From there, two routes branch off. One where he gets over her death and returns to the outside world, joining a group of children with special "Eye Abilities" called the Mekakushi Dan. The other where he falls into despair, kills the girl living in his computer (don't ask) and then himself.

The second video is much less spoiler-y, as it's intended as a sort of fake OP. I wanted to do a short tribute now that the song series is over. Sadly it seems I will probably have to wait another year for the actual animé, as the novels are still ongoing. At least there's also the manga, which I will be keeping up with.

Lyrics were taken from the Kagerou Project Wiki. I'd fix them up myself, but lazy. Some parts might make a little more sense in the original Japanese context, but at some point I just stopped caring about getting fancy with the matching and timing. XP

That's the only difference. Color's supposed to be red, that's all.

Bah, I can't draw skirts that well. >.>; I've just always admired the detail Full Moon's author puts into designing fancy Shoujo dresses (seriously, look at all dem frills) and sorta tried to learn how to emulate them but most of the time I just wing it. =x
