Can't wait any longer on this, unfortunately.

Those who have not posted for this round will not be given an item for their Pokemon. Their Pokemon will not evolve if able, nor will they gain an additional move, though they will still level and be allowed to use any new level up moves.

Once again the raiders emerge over their chose foes, inching further into the Realm of Shadows in their quest to confront Shadow Arceus. But once again they must decide, to take on a new ally, or trust the one that has got them this far already? Further still, yet more items lay at their feet, left not by the Shadow Pokemon they had defeated, but in the tattered ruins of packs left by adventurers once brave enough to dare venture this far in.

At this time, all Pokemon will be elevated to level 45. Level based evolutions, as well as evolution of all baby Pokemon and all Pokemon that evolve through alternate methods may occur at this point if the owner wishes. You may also choose to swap your current Pokemon with the Shadow Pokemon your group just defeated (which will also be raised to level 45 and allowed to evolve if meeting these pre-requisites).

Each Pokemon may now also learn one additional Egg, Tutor, Machine, Advanced, or Shadow move to add to their movepool. Swapped Shadow Pokemon may learn up to the amount of special moves as the rest of the existing raiders, and may learn Shadow Moves up to the amount they would know at the current level.

Each trainer may also choose one item from the pile left before them, to be equipped to their current Pokemon. Note that this item exists only in the Growing Shadows raids and cannot be used elsewhere.

Please choose whether or not to swap your Pokemon, as well as choose an item from the list available for your group (multiple members of the same group can use the same Pokemon and can use the same item) to use going forward, as well as vote on which route your group will go down to start. The deadline for these choices is Sunday, October 3rd. Note that due to the extended duration of the event, anyone who chooses not to post by the deadline will be considered dropped out. Anyone choosing to drop out in this manner will still be allowed to claim rewards at the end of the event.

Celyn chose to forgo taking the Shadow Axew… Xe wasn’t fond of it either but at least Celyn had the decency to not injure that which was already beaten… regardless of these events, Celyn noted that almost all the Pokemon had taken in a surge of power, and after meeting up with another group apparently this surge in Power allowed for several Pokemon to evolve, along with gaining new moves.

Scanning Munna, Celyn noted down that their partner had gained several new moves, but like before, couldn’t really be much of a powerhouse of their own without either more levels of experience or Evolution.

With the final volley of attacks, the Tranquill was felled, and Diana and Marv breathed sighs of relief as the Normal/Flying-type shrank back down to a normal size for its kind, and DJ Skweekz stopped the Channel 110 news van's radio from playing the epic music. "Great work, Passimian," smiled Diana.

"Pass... Pass... Passimi..." panted Passimian in response. This caught everyone's attention as they eyed Passimian.

"Hm," frowned Marv. "Passimian's looking particularly worn down."

Passimian is reaching its limit, came Steakknife's telepathic voice to both Marv and Diana, the Ralts eyeing the fatigued Fighting-type carefully (for this took place well before the Battle for Sludge Wave Coast). I sincerely doubt it has the stamina to keep going in the battles ahead.

"Well, that poses a problem," Diana frowned as she withdrew Passimian. "We can't use our own Pokémon, it's not safe."

"Bebeat..." nodded Bright.

"Illumiiii," added Sweet.

"Hm..." Diana murmured, glancing all around... until her gaze fell on the Tranquill. The badly-behaved bird was still sitting on the ground. Strange energy was steadily restoring its energy, though instead of running away, it was simply sitting there.

Menacingly.

Marv's gaze shifted back and forth between Diana and Tranquill, and he started to piece together what his girlfriend was thinking. "...Diana, you can't possibly-" he began.

"What other option do we have?" countered Diana. "Passimian's beat, and we can't just back out now."

"...oh, all right," relented Marv. "I just hope you know what you're doing."

"...so do I,' admitted Diana, gripping a red and white sphere in her hand. She then turned to Tranquill, and took a deep breath. "Go, Poké Ball!" Diana exclaimed, heaving the sphere at the Tranquill. The Shadow Pokémon was sucked into the ball, and it clattered to the ground, wobbling and lurching violently for a few moments, but ultimately it fell still.

"Well... congratulations," shrugged Marv. "Do... you want me to start rolling?"

"Alright," nodded Diana, stepping back over, Poké Ball in hand. Once Marv had started rolling and gave the signal, Diana spoke into the camera. "We have just finished subduing the Shadow Tranquill, but one issue has arisen; namely, the Passimian I have been working with is too fatigued to continue. So instead, I have had to take drastic measures; I threw a Poké Ball at the felled Tranquill in the hopes of making it an ally in the battles to come. I will now attempt to see if Tranquill and I are on the same page here." And she turned around, throwing the ball into the air. "Tranquill, go!" she exclaimed.

Screeching madly, the Shadow Tranquill reappeared, and started to glow almost immediately. Diana stifled a gasp as her newest ally evolved before her eyes, becoming a fierce ! Unfezant flapped her wings, hovering before Diana, eyeing her eerily.

"Unfezant," said Diana, refusing to let herself be intimidated. "My wish is for the two of us to work together against the threats that lie ahead. I will lend you my strength if you lend me yours."

"...UNFEZ!" cawed Unfezant suddenly, but Diana didn't flinch. "Fezant..." Unfezant growled thoughtfully following this. And finally, a curt nod. "Unfez!" she cawed.

Diana smiled. "Glad to hear it," she stated. She then took something from the nearby pile of items- a Rocky Helmet- and gently placed it on Unfezant's head. With Unfezant satisfied for the moment, Diana withdrew the Shadow Pokémon.

"...aaaand, cut," Marv stated, as he stopped rolling. "Nicely done, Diana!"

"Thank you," smiled Diana. "I didn't allow her to intimidate me. I'm hoping this at least gets me some sort of respect from her during this. Now... it seems our group has grown," she added, turning to look at the other group of people who had arrived.

"Well, let's go confer with them," stated Marv. "See which way we're looking to go. Steakknife tells me he senses a Bug-type and a Normal-type, and considering you just got an Unfezant to work with... Bug sounds like the way to go."

"I'll agree with that," nodded Diana. "We got room in the van for everyone?"

"We should," nodded Marv. And with that, the journalistic couple headed over to confer with their newly-enlarged group.

Swapping Passimian for Tranquill, who immediately evolves into an Unfezant. Locking in the Ability as Super Luck. Special moves are Egg move Night Slash, TR Focus Energy, and TM Stone Edge.

As expected, the paths once more meet for the groups, meaning pressing forward in much larger teams, and each of the two now newly formed groups are met with a split path ahead. Dynamax Energy pulses through the air ahead, signaling bosses one should expect to be rather difficult.

Keeping the now level 45 female Mimikyu, and adding unnatural TM/TR Fire Blast for the third bonus move. Keeping the Fairy Dust received last round as Mimikyu's item. Voting to go the Bug route.

The Xatu was done for. The towering Pokémon slowly tumbled over as it reduced in size to something a little more modest; a sight that would have amazed Elijah if he wasn't completely desensitized to it at this point. This place was weird, and he definitely wasn't planning to come back to it in the future. Sighing, he trundled ahead, hoping for the Pawniard to follow... however, the Xatu that he just fought was trailing behind him instead, somehow having regained its energy after the fight was over.

Uh... whatever. Elijah didn't care anymore, having been thrown into a daze over the course of the day's events. So what if he just suddenly had a different Pokémon? At this point he was merely just part of his own audience, trying to control a Pokémon that simply would not listen.

...In retrospect, it kind of sounded familiar to him in a way.

swapping out the pawniard for the level 45 shadow xatu; declaring its ability to be Magic Bounce; throwing on the shadow moves Shadow Panic, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Down, Shadow Chill, Shadow Shed, and Shadow Mist; equipping the Heavy-Duty Boots; and giving it Hurricane. also voting for bug

moveset: Air Slash, Leer, Night Shade, Peck, Stored Power, Tailwind, Teleport, Lucky Chant, Confuse Ray, Miracle Eye, Me First, Ominous Wind, Psycho Shift, Wish, Guard Swap, Power Swap, Future Sight, Psychic, Shadow Panic, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Down, Shadow Chill, Shadow Shed, Shadow Mist, Hurricane
