For a while, there was nothing but the shifting sands beneath and the volcanic rock above. It was an all-consuming void that held no master.

After a bit, you reach a fork in the road. Well, more like a small clearing with two tunnels. Here, Lucha's tracks stop, and you can tell a skirmish happened here between the cat, Hermes, Minerva, and the two Sandygast. Wherever they were, they seemed to be lurking and watching. Lurking and waiting. To consume you and your team, like antlions waiting for their prey.

Before you can make a decision, however, you notice two yellow shovels pop out of the ground. And then their bodies and the Sandygast stare you all down. This was a revenge match, and they were waiting for you. Was it either to try and finish the job, or go on further, you didn't know, but there was yet another fight ahead of you. So, it was time to choose your two fighters, and kick the ever-loving sand out of these Pokemon.

What do you do?
Ready to go, Danny descended down the sand caverns, his Pokemon with him, all treading carefully. Hermes, in flight, kept his eyes open for any possible danger. Flurry seemed the most nonchalant of the situation; perhaps he knew that, as an Ice type he was in minimal danger. He was floating around without a care in the world, but even his expression seemed to have a touch of worry. Lucha tread carefully and vengefully, following the same tracks he had left before. Fleur stayed dutifully by her trainer, her expression dangerously murderous. Danny, despite being in an unfamiliar area and surrounded by eerie black sand and volcanic rock, still felt safe because of his Pokemon around him.

The cave seemed to go on forever, until they reached a clearing; and in that clearing there were two separate passageways. "Ah, the classic fork in the road." Danny said drily and sarcastically. Lucha's tracks stopped dead cold here; instead, due to the scorches, scratches and shifted sand, it was clear some sort of battle took place; one between Lucha, Minerva, and the Sandygast. Danny got a sickening feeling that he was being watched.

His feelings where confirmed when two familiar yellow shovels appeared from the black sand. The two Sandygast from before appeared, staring Danny and his group down with revenge in their eyes. Lucha's teeth bared, as the little kitten began growling menacingly. It was clear he had some unfinished business.

"Alright, Lucha, Fleur, let's do this!" Danny said, getting into battle mode. "The rest of you, stay back. Fleur, start it off with a Leaf Storm! Lucha, try and ride that wind and go in for a Shadow Claw, and retreat as quick as you can!"

Figuring out what to do, you give your orders to your Pokemon. Annahime jumps from your hoodie and creates a pale blue flame to hover around her. Toby soon copies that, his flame instead an ethereal white. TOby soon runs ahead, while you, Annahime, and Finnegan soon follow.

The halls of the mine are barren, hollow... and unnatural. This tunnel was definitely man-made, but it's been here a lot longer than a "new entrance' would imply. Something about this was off... Especially with the only thing being glass shards.

You soon meet up with Yang and Toby in a clearing, where a dilapidated mine cart rested onto its side, unrefined ore littered everywhere. Besides that, there are some broken tracks, ripped tents, and stained, hardened blood. Whatever tore through here did so a while ago. Was this place never actually reported until recently?

"This is odd," Yang comments. Well, that was obvious enough. "According to the reports we got... This place only opened up about a month ago. From the looks of it, this place has been used a lot longer than that." She pauses and then investigates herself.

"Something is wrong here.. I've never seen such wanton destruction before," she states. "The corpses are gone too."

She then turns and looks at you. You could tell that she found something, and motions you over. Heading over, you see a pouch filled with items. Two Escape Ropes, some flashlights, a pickaxe, and a Cleanse Tag. That last item was... certainly odd. Why would you need to ward away spirits in a volcanic mine?

"Take the tag and the rope Curtis," she states as she grabs one of the escape ropes.

You have obtained x1 Escape Rope and x1 Cleanse Tag

And then you feel the ground rumble. Something was coming... Something monstrous. You saw two passages ahead of you, one leftwards and one rightwards. You could choose to stay and hide or run away.

"We need to split! Run!" Yang exclaims, tightly clutching a Poke Ball. Whatever your choice, you'll be alone for a while.

What do you do?
Curtis gritted his teeth once more, thinking quickly about what to do. First things first, if he was to take on the Garchomp that were most likely coming- he'd need a chokepoint of some kind. But one that they couldn't just smash through. If he can just keep them away for long enough, then the combined Blizzards of Annahime and Toby WILL take them down- should at least.

For the best chances of that to even work, he and Yang would need to stick together. Her ground-type and rock-type Pokemon's ability to (hopefully) shape the battlefield would be key in creating that chokepoint and keeping it up. If the literal actual land sharks didn't just Dig through everything. The counter to that was moves like Earthquake and Magnitude- but those were incredibly dangerous to use inside the mine if not done carefully.

But lastly, the fact was that just two trainers not carrying Pokemon teams specialized in taking out the Garchomp threat would simply be overwhelmed by them sooner or later- even just a handful would do it. Running might not also be an option since they could very well catch up before they got back out of the mine.

"Guys! Toby, Anna, Finn- which way are the sounds coming from? Which way are they coming?" Curtis snapped out. At least Annahime should be smart enough to follow that order. Finnegan too. Toby probably.

After paying close attention to his Pokemon, Curtis would grab Yang's hand and run down the path that didn't seem to have scary Pokemon/things in it, "Com'on, we need to stick together and find a place where we can lay a trap! Or otherwise throw them off our tails!"

Jumping to action, you order your Ninjask to cover the Cacturne. Sure, that's great and all, but the Ninjask looks at you puzzled. Cover how? Cover with what? If it isn't commanded with the moves in its arsenal, then it's really of no help. Do you really want the taxed cicada to act as a meat shield?

Ignoring that crucial detail, and the puzzled Ninjask flying next to you, you then send out your Umbreon. The dark-typed eeveelution illuminates the rings on his body, soon drowning out the rest of the light in the tent. A circular band starts to form all around him, before turning into a ring of pure light and gets fired off at the Mr. Mime.

You can't really see what happens next, but you could tell that the attack gets partially absorbed by a light screen. The ambient light soon returns to normal, and you could see the weakened Cacturne struggling to get up. The Mr. Mime turns to look at Bobbington with a crooked smile, its light screen dealing with the light ring quite well.

The Mr. Mime then points skywards, a malicious grin resting on its face. It then twirls around and sends out a massive Dazzling Gleam. The spread move hits the Cacturne, Shinobi, as well as Bobbington. The dark-typed Cactus grimaces, barely holding on from that last attack. Shinobi gets pushed back from the force of the attack, while your Umbreon takes massive damage from the hit.

Noka, though, uses this distracting to launch its shadow towards the Mr. Mime, sneaking through the shadows created from the Dazzling Gleam. Zipping and zooming, the attack then erupts from beneath the mime. While weak, the move was enough to distract the Mime enough for Noka to camouflage, blending into the shadows and shedding its bug-typing. From the looks of this, it was best to try and grab the Cacturne and run. No telling what could happen now.

What do you do?

Danny-

Ready and raring to go, Lucha launches himself towards the Sandygast as soon as you say the attack. This was personal, for whatever happened in the cave last time. Sure, he was disobeying orders, but the Litten didn't care. Coating his claw in shadow, the fire kitten swiped at the Sandygast adjacent to him. Claw tore through ghostly sand, and the opposing Pokemon let out a screech. That hurt, a ton.

Fleur, meanwhile, was poised and ready to strike as soon as Lucha was out of the way. He was meant to follow through with the attack, but instead, he gave her an opening. She pelted the injured Sandygast with a flurry of razor-sharp leaves. The Sandygast was cut to ribbons and then reformed. It was sand after all. Once the attack was over with, you see a red aura envelop Fluer, her contrary ways giving her a boost from the powerful nuke.

And then the Sandyghasts went, and this would prove to even up the battle. The heavily injured Sandygast retreated and started to Shore Up. The surrounding sand coated the Pokemon, healing it and bolstering it back up to size. Most of the damage done to it was healed off, almost resetting the battle to square one.

The other one sunk beneath the sands and entrapped Lucha within a Sand Tomb. Sure, the initial attack was weak, but the chip damage would rack up for the Litten who had already taken a few hits. Your first string of attacks didn't do much, and now you were in a disadvantageous situation. Well, doubles weren't always easy.

What do you do?

ChrisClark13-

Trying to assess the situation, you aren't able to discern the source of the threat. Instead, you decide that safety in numbers would be better. Reaching for Yang's hand and gripping it, you tell her this, and she just yanks herself free with panic in her eyes.

"You idiot! If we stay here then we'll both die!" she shouts, and you feel the ground burst beneath your feet.

A vicious, primal roar. The fear of the hunted. And sharp claws digging through your flesh. A blur of blue scales, and an all too familiar stench. It was back. It found you. Even after hours of not seeing it. It had found you. Garchomp.

You feel your body fly through the air before you get tossed into the closest wall. Bones crunch. Blood flying. Breathing heavy. Vision hazy. Everything felt like it was failing. And you could hear the roar of the Garchomp echo through the chamber. It was pissed. And it was after you.

You feel yourself hoisted up, Yang trying to hold you.

"You really need to lose some weight..." she muttered, leaning you against the wall. Your vision was blurry, but you could see her Solrock and Minior trying to hold off the rampaging land shark dragon.

Wrapping some bandages in the puncture wound, and making a make-shift splint for your right arm, you could see the worry on Yang's face. Was this rampaging Garchomp the cause of this destruction? The thing that was trying to prevent the mining operation from continuing?

You could feel the adrenaline reignite your heart and mind. Your body was roaring and screaming at you. Kill it. Destroy it. Mangle it. Eviscerate it. The Garchomp was the threat. The thing that'll kill you. And it must be bruised, broken, and eliminated. There was no time to hesitate, you couldn't. Pure primal instinct had taken over, a feral veracity. All you could see, in a sea of red, was the Garchomp. And then you feel a dissonant whisper in your ear.

"Take all of your roiling rage and rancor... And ignite."

What do you do?

Realizing that he has more of an issue now Bobert attempts to focus a bit more.
First, he requests Noka use "Spite" and then "Grudge" on Mr.Mime.
After that, Bob commands Shinobi to use "Areal Ace" to move Mr. Mime off the Cacturne and then use "leech life" to sap away its energy.
Finally, he asks Bobington to use "Unfinished symphony" to confuse the opponents and "present" to help protect itself from further harm.

Shortly after this, Bobert dashes towards the Cacturne and attempts to get it on its feet and out of the way. Does it hurt, probably, but that is not as important right now.

Danny's plan didn't exactly go as expected. Lucha seemed vengeful from his previous experience; understandable, so the Torracat had rushed ahead despite Danny's instructions. The Torracat's gleaming black claws cloaked in dark purple shadow, and the Torracat took a strong, meaty slash at one of the Sandygast, causing the Pokemon's sand form to scatter and making it release a horrible screech. That must've hurt.

Fleur, poised and ready to strike, saw Lucha's disobedience as the opportunity for an opening. Since the Sandygast was still collecting itself, literally, Fleur released a volley of leaves that stormed at the pile of sand, causing it to scatter once more before reforming. Fleur felt powered up by her attack, naturally; the Servine family was known for their Contrary ability that made attacks' detriments the opposite.

The Sandygast definitely weren't gonna take this without fighting back. The injured one slinked deeper into the clearing to find a disguised place so it could Shore Up, commanding the sand from the cave floor to rebuild and heal itself. The damage from the first round of attacks was pretty much reset. They were back to square one.

The other one disappeared under the sand, before causing a swirl of sand around Lucha that Danny didn't find any more familiar. A Sand Tomb. Lucha seemed to recognize it as well, the Torracat's tail and back hairs standing on end as he let out a hiss. Hearing Lucha's hiss gave Danny an idea.

"Lucha, go ahead and Taunt those Sandygast! And Fleur, summon up some Draco Meteors on the Sandygast too! Lucha, try to stay out of the Sand Tomb, quick on your feet, alright?"

Jaho-

Realizing what you need to do, you order your Pokemon to do the moves they need to do. The Shedinja starts by spiting the Mr. Mime, sapping it of its strength and weakens its Dazzling Gleam. While it's distracted, Shinobi goes in with an Aerial Ace. The bug temporarily disappears, before slicing through the mime with blinding accuracy. The knockback tosses the Mime to the other side of the tent, which allows you to run towards the Cacturne. The weakened Cactus looks up at you and takes your offer to get out of there.

With you slowly assisting the Cacturne away, your Umbreon begins to sing an unfinished symphony. This begins to confuse everyone but leaves a ghostly curse on the Mr. Mime. The Pokemon looks confused and begins to Teleport away in a small moment of clarity. Looks like the battle was finished abruptly, the foe knowing it was outmatched.

Congratulations, Noka, Shinobi, and Bobington have all gained 1 Level!

Your Pokemon soon snap out of their confusion and start helping you take the Cacturne back to the hiding area. The Maractus and Cacnea look ecstatic to see their friend again but immediately become worried by the giant cactus's state of being. This wasn't the only problem, as you see the pool of water begin to be polluted again. Seems your fix was only temporary.

The Maractus looks at you and then starts to point outside. It looks desperate, realizing that they'd need to try and find a new water supply. The Cacnea, however, looks peeved. It wants revenge against the Mime, for what it did to the Cacturne. Though, you had no idea where it went. Seems your choice was either to choose the Maractus or the Cacnea's idea.

What do you do?

Danny-

Realizing that this situation wasn't going exactly as planned, you decide to redo your strategy. The now Torracat begins spewing harsh taunts and hisses at the Sandygasts, preventing them from using their status moves. Both of them become incredibly pissed off and start to tunnel the fire cat. Seems that wasn't exactly the best good, but you could tell Lucha was more than satisfied for doing that.

The weakened Sandygast fires off an Earth Power at Lucha, the sand erupting beneath the Pokemon. Yelping in pain, this opens up an opportunity for the other Sandygast. The sandpile slinks up to the Torracat, still stuck in the tomb, and uses a Giga Drain. While the attack was resisted, the drained life force helped bolster it up. With them tunneling the cat, this was looking even worse.

Though, this offered a surprise opportunity for you, as Fleur was being completely ignored. The Servine calls down Draco Meteors, the draconic rocks slamming into the Sandygast. While neutral, the attack boosted her special attack to astronomical heights due to her Contrary. If she could time her hits right, she might be able to finish off this battle in a clean sweep. Especially with the Sandygast recovering from the powerful attacks. This was an opportunity to strike.

What do you do?

Ary could make out what it pretty easily, though, as the top light's swinging came to a stop. Despite it having been there long enough to collect dust, it seemed weirdly, creepily applicable to the current situation Ary and Mobius found themselves in.

"Chase rodents for strength in numbers
Follow flame and you will meet disaster
Shedding shells to become enlightened
The toxic path will show the prize
The glass will guide you
The rhyme and meter of this only make sense in my native tongue

- Mlle. D"

Looking to the crystal ball, Ary could see the interior getting smokier and shapes forming within. Two lines appeared, bars creeping out from each side to create bars, almost like a ladder. The shape twisted, showing itself to be a slowly rotating double helix. The image distorted, the double helix splitting and warping to form the image of a pair of familiar-looking wings. The same wings he'd just seen on the Mega Absol. The image coalesced, and started to take on a new shape. However, this new image was very difficult to make out.

It was a rat! Wait, no, maybe a candle? Or, could it be a cicada? Perhaps it was actually a dangerous, poisonous-looking barb?

Which of these do you see in the shifting shape in the crystal ball? Choose your path. "The glass will guide you"
He had to admit, this was all just as weird as it was really cool. He couldn’t help himself at his age, and having just had his very first taste of adventure. Still riding high after seeing that incredible Mega Pokemon, Ary was doubly excited when he realized the note, which by all accounts seemed to have been lying there for centuries, seemed oddly addressed to him personally.

“Holy Magikarp… This is so cool!”

The whole thing was written like a riddle, composed by one Miles D. He racked his brain trying to remember if it was someone famous from TV or something, but nothing came up. Why would it? Folks of “mystical persuasion” rarely got screentime other than on those weird channels his parents never let him watch. “Them berries won’t pick themselves”, they always said.

Mobius seemed equally as interested, eyes glued to the ever-shifting shapes of the crystal ball on the table. Ary too tried to make out what they were, but they morphed too quickly into something else. It took him a while to connect the dots.

“Wait, the note! Maybe… maybe it’ll show me what I want to see!”

He read through the verse two, three more times. Obviously he felt tempted to go straight for the prize, as the image of the barb grew clearer, but something made him reconsider at the last second.

“Are we even strong enough to go for the prize already, whatever that is? I mean, disaster doesn’t really sound appealing, but I could probably be a bit stronger a bit more, uh, enlightened, whatever that is…”

He exchanged a glance with Mobius, who clearly would’ve shrugged if he had shoulders.

Strength in numbers kinda sounds like we’ll be mugged or something, right? And I only got you and two Scyther who don’t listen to me. So… maybe I need to be smarter somehow? That’s probably what enlightened means, right? Let’s… yeah, let’s go with that.”

He stared at the crystal ball, mind made up, and watched as a cicada slowly came into view…

What do you do?

Firstly, Bobert decides to tend to the Cacturne by administering one of his potions. It may not be much but it should help nevertheless. He then pauses for a moment before taking out a Pokeball and setting it on the ground before it before clearing his throat and saying;
"From here we have a few options for you Cacturne, we can leave you here to rest, we can walk you where ever we end up or if YOU so choose you may be placed in this Pokeball for easier transit. I will allow you to leave once you get better if you want. This is an open invitation that I am also willing to the extent to all 3 of you.
The choice is YOURS though."

Bob then presents 2 others as a courtesy and pauses further to think more about his options of where to go next. After a moment Bobert addresses the group once more.
"Alright, here is what I think we should do. Priority number 1 is regaining a water supply that is healthy and number 2 is dealing with Mr.Mime. What I want to do is follow the piping and find where it originates from and where it is being polluted from. if we do that then we may also find Mr.Mime there as it seems to be responsible for our predicament. At any rate, we should act fast. We don't want Mr.Mime to get much time to recover"

Shinobi and Noka grow to LV 26, Bobington Grows to LV13

Jaho- The Pokemon look at you confused, not really understanding your offer. They still were wary of you, despite the help, and the Cacturne shoots away from the Poke Ball with an Energy Ball. This would technically count as a capture, and well, they want to make sure that the problems affecting their home are dealt with first and foremost.

With that awkward exchange out of the way, you then decided the best thing to do is follow the water supply and figuring out what was polluting the water supply. Seems like you were siding with the Maractus on the issue, and Cacnea looks pissed off. Though the Cacturne quells the little cactus ball, you could tell its temper was on a much shorter fuse.

You are then lead towards a nearby sewer grate outside of the building. The Cacturne pries it off and begins the descent into the sewage system of the park. Following suit, the smell is rancid and horrid. It was impossible to describe what you actually smelt, just that it was singeing your nostrils.

Getting off the ladder, you see the Maractus and Cacnea follow suit, and the cacti trio soon beckon for you to follow. The Cacturne points towards a series of plumbing pipes, showing that are the pipes that give them water. Following along, you soon reach the room where the lead.

A pool of water that seemed to purify the surrounding ocean water. It was a small tank, one of many that looked to be connected to a larger source. You can't tell where the pipe that feeds into this leads, and the cacti don't know either, but this pool was certainly polluted. It'd be best to try and look around to see if you could find any clues.

What do you do?

Understanding the rejection Bobert collected his balls before following the Cati down the drain and looking around.

upon reaching the chamber Bob requests that Noka and Shinobi use Einherjar to provide some light and look around with one of the Cati respectively. He then requests Bobington use Light Ring to look at help with Caturne and himself. Bobert figures splitting off into pairs would make quicker work of this search. They look around the various small pools of polluted water, divides, and pipes looking for where they may lead.

Lighting the way for their respective partners, you watch your Pokemon explore the small room. After a few minutes, each pair comes back with something. They pile three objects before you, waiting for you to rummage through their findings.

The first object was a yellow rucksack, worn through years of storage. The bag itself was empty but was stained brown towards the bottom. It also had a rancid smell to it that permeated the entire sack. Though, the smell was almost familiar to you. Looking at the bag, you notice a small Miltnak print symbol on the bottom right corner, almost faded away. A sack of Miltank manure, wonderful.

The next object was a broken flash. This one was a lot easier to discern just by looking at it. There was a greenish residue on the inside, and half of a biohazard symbol in here. Certainly something radioactive, and with only trace amounts left in it. Safe enough to touch for now, but whatever goop was in here is not enough to drink.

The last thing was a glass jar. This you couldn't tell what was inside, but from the state, it is in it had something in there recently. Whatever it was, it surely was added to the concoction to poison the water supply. It was too dangerous to try and purify this water. You at least had the clues now to confirm that case, so now was the question of finding a new water supply. The best option was to try and see if you could find a way to follow those pipes.

What do you do?

Returning Noka and Shinobi, for the time being, Bobert places a hand on a seemingly important pipe and begins following it with Sir Bobington and the cacti training behind. On the other hand, he dons his trusty Ultra Bendy Rayquaza Flashlight to give his friend a break. Remaining vigilant the whole way, Bob and the crew wander deeper into the sewer system.

Grabbing your trusty flashlight, you decide to lead the exploration yourself. After all, your Pokemon have been putting in a lot of the heavy work. A good trainer shoulders the burden now and then as well. They were your partners, and partnerships required both sides to give their best effort.

Your search leads you out of the polluted room, and back into the dark, dank sewers. Filth and muck were rampant here, with the walkways and waterways filled to the brim with decades of old sewage. The walls were beginning to become increasingly covered in grime, something that would probably never be properly cleaned.

Though, its makes sense. The coils of time were not kind to the abandoned amusement park, especially the places the spirits didn't visit. Each step reverberated through the empty sewer, your flashlight finding nothing but rust. Hallow pipes and murky, brown water. Piles of garbage pilled on the walkways and floating through the water. Nothing here would even be serviceable. You needed to find a map of some kind. If something like that existed... You'd be able to find the way to the filtration room.

And then your search stops, as you approach a rusted-over sluice gate. Shining your flashlight around, you see a lever on the opposite side of the sewer. That would mean either finding a way to get over the sewer or backtrack to find the route to the lever. You also had a feeling that things were a little too quiet here...

What do you do?

Bobert beckons the cacti trio to come closer, returns Sir Bobington brings out Noka and Shinobi, and requests they teleport us to the other side of the sewer in pairs. Shinobi takes Caturne and Cactnia and Noka takes Maractice and Bob over towards the lever. Boberson further requests that everyone stay vigilant as he attempts to pull the lever.

Danny's taunting plan had worked excellently. Lucha, full of relish, hissed haughtily and mischievously, angering the Sandygast into only attacking; stopping any future Shore Ups for a while. It also seemed to work against Danny and his Pokemon, as both Sandygast Sand Tombed Lucha with anger. The weakened one even fired off an Earth Power, causing the ground underneath Lucha to erupt in earthen energy; and the other got up close and stole a Giga Drain, healing itself, despite the attack being not vry effective. The assault of attacks was definitely not good for the poor Torracat, but he seemed to enjoy his moment of taunting nonetheless.

This however, gave Fleur an opening - one she was sure to exploit, summoning magical purple meteors that came crashing down on the two possessed sand piles, dealing neutral damage, and powering Fleur up to appropriate astronomical levels and definitely leaving a dent in the Sandygast.

Danny quickly realized that he had an opening here; while Lucha suffered under the Sand Tomb and the Sandygast's attention, Fleur had powered herself up thanks to her Contrary ability, so she would hit especially hard with her Leaf Storm...

"Fleur, this is our chance!" Danny said. "Leaf Storm both of them, if you can! Lucha, hang in there!" Fleur smirked wickedly as her tail began to swarm in leaves. Lucha crumbled under the sandy vortex, but stayed strong and brave throughout, hissing irritably.

@Saiza

You could see it clearly now, the figure in the ball was most definitely a cicada. You were completely certain of that. The foggy shape seemed to pulsate in and out as your focus on it shifted.

Your focus on the cicada shape in the ball grew stronger as you fully made up your mind. It grew so intense, in fact, you accidentally bump into the table in surprise, and the crystal ball drops to the ground. It shatters in a flash of light. When the light clears, there's no glass on the ground, and a new crystal ball rests on the stand where the old one was. The only indication the old crystal ball fell were a couple small items on the ground where the original one dropped, and a cloudy cicada shape hanging in the air, the same shape you'd seen in the ball earlier.

You looked down at the items that had been previously contained within the orb. Contained within was an oddly appropriate Technical Machine, one for the move Flash, as well as a small note: "This may help you. Good luck."

You obtained 1 TM Flash!

The cicada shape pulsated in and out a couple times, before floating out of the tent. Not wanting to lose the opportunity presented, you pocket the TM and note, and you and Mobius give chase after the slow-moving form. It leads you out of the tent and around back, behind the larger Circus Tent. It being so dark out, and your path of pursuit for the foggy cicada cutting so close to the massive, shadow-casting tent makes it difficult for you to see. You almost run into the mass of fog guiding you, as it stops short. You are unsure of exactly why it stopped, at first. Quickly, however, due to the limited sight, your other senses draw focus. From ground level, you hear a slight scratching. Then comes a rustling of the sparse, weak grasses that can barely survive in such a constantly-shaded area. You then hear something else, a light crunching sound you cannot quite identify. The smell of freshly broken earth creeps into your nostrils. Trying to focus your sight on where the sounds seem to be coming from, you can make out a vague form. Small, seemingly bug-like, what looks like a couple bumps its back, and appearing not to have quite noticed your presence. Whatever the scratching an crunching sounds are, the unidentified creature seems to be focused on what it is doing.

The fog shape guiding you still hangs in the air, pulsating in and out, as if expecting something. What will you do?

Jaho- Asking your Pokemon to teleport groups over to the level, you wait as your Shedinja begins to Teleport you over. But, instead of the other side of the sewers, you find yourself in a void. All you could see here was the blank nothingness, Noka, and the Maractus. The cactus seems incredibly worried, trying to examine the surroundings.

Y-O-U

Y-O-U-T-H-I-N-K-Y-O-U-C-A-N-B-E-N-D-T-H-E-R-U-L-E-S?

A voice booms through your head, each letter scratching, statically, and distorted. A singular red eye appears before you and cackles. You were in this thing's realm now. The Cacnea, Cacturne, nor your Ninjask were anywhere in sight. You had none of your items or Pokeballs on yours. It was just the three of you, and the eye.

The creepy laughter continued to penetrate the void as the eye circled all of you. Inspecting, staring, and ever so gazing. It was a punishment for rule-breakers. Those who went against the rules of the Phantom Isle. Do not dare violate the spirits' games and puzzles. This is their gift to the living. What keeps them from going insane and violating the laws of the dead.

But here, here was the dark prison where rule breakers were meant to suffer. Repent for their crimes until the spirit was satisfied, or, well, extolls the price of their crimes. The eye, a crimson moon in this void, watched diligently, waiting for your response.

What do you do?

Danny-

A hissing mess of fur and sand, the Alolan fire cat did nothing but spit hatred. For his purpose here was not of one of fighting, but bait. The Sandygasts, while still dealing with Contrary boosted Leaf Storms, were too enraged to even attempt healing themselves. If they were to fall, they would drag this cat down to hell with them.

Fleur, realizing the stakes here, immediately was quick on her feet as she blasted the weaker of the two Sandygasts with a powerful Leaf Storm. The pile of sand immediately sinks into the sand, letting out a deafening screech. The shovel soon melts beneath the sands, signifying that the Pokemon was defeated.

Yet, while firing off this powerful move, the other Sandygast shook the earth and pumped all of its power into the earth. A pillar of black sand erupted beneath Lucha, causing the feline to yowl in pain and the sand to cover the area like smoke. There was a silence that soon came forth, you not being able to hear your Torracat's taunting hissing.

After a little bit, the smoke soon began to get whipped up within a storm of razor-sharp leaves. Fleur seemed to have found the Sandygast in this time, and the drama of the scene unfolded as she cut the other Sandygast to ribbons.

THere you saw Luchas, buried beneath the sands with only his right paw sticking out. It looked stiff and rigid... Lifeless. Did the Sandyghasts truly manage to take him with them? Concerned, you try to investigate before you see the smallest twitch.

The arm then shakes vigorously, before clambering around and seeing another cloud of sand. But when this one clears you to see Lucha standing firm, proud that his job was done. Though, through this bravado, you could tell that your Pokemon was in critical condition. He wasn't in any shape to fight, and even with healing his time battling for this foray was over with.

Congratulations! Lucha and FLeur have both gained two levels for defeating the Sandygasts

After some time with your Pokemon, you then see the two tunnels before you. One of them led to where your Mismagius was, and most likely the leader of these predators. The other, most likely a dead-end... But, there was no way to discern them. All you could do was make a gut decision and push forwards.

What do you do?

Bobert Oliver Boberson, being an 11-year-old, sheltered farm boy is ill-prepared for something of this caliber. He screams, he screams for a while, takes a breath, and screams again. He does not register what is going on other than an eldrich abomination is in front of him and is angry. He is probably going to die is all he can think of. Eventually, his body gives out and he faints collapsing under his weight.

Noka on the other hand looks around less terrified and more terrified that their trainer is not ok. Upon Bobert's collapse, they attempt to guide him down safely with telekinesis and good old-fashioned elbow grease.

Odds are Bobert is scarred for life and has a distinct hatred/fear for mimes now that will takes years to get over.

Jahosafits-

Being an eleven-year-old, the only thing you can think of dealing with this eye of an eldritch abomination is to scream. Screech, yelp, wail, shriek, cry, and howl. Squeal in despair as this monster will devour your soul until your vocal cords, and the rest of your body gives out.

And then you were alone, trapped within the recesses of your mind. You think back to your family, your farm, and the boat trip that brought you to this amusement park. You think about everything that has happened to you in your short life and feels it all melting away into an apathetic void. And then you see the eye appear once more, within your very mind, laughing at your torment and eating your dreams.

Once everything was truly a blank, hollow void you feel roused from your slumber. Blinking, you find yourself feeling...nothing. And a ghostly apparition of you stares back at you, laughing mad. Yet, there was one difference between you and this gray ghastly shade. A singular, red-eye peering at you. And then you watch the figure mix and swirl like a cloud into a grotesque form.

A cyclops-like creature stared at you, wispy hair flowing from its head and two giant gray hands attached to the chest. Two long wispy... things are attached to its back as if it was a base for a cape. You blink, realizing that this thing was a Pokemon.

Looking around, you see Noka and the Maractus both staring at you, relieved that you're back on your feet. But, for the Pokemon staring at you, it seems to have something different in mind.

Bobert stands knees shaking with his skin going a pale white and he processes what the entity threatened. He then glances over at the Maractus unsure of what he should do with them. After a moment he then, with a raspy tremble in his voice, squeaks out for Noka to use a mind reader then shadow sneak.

Jaho-

Standing back up, you quickly have Noke use a Mind Reader on the Dusclops. While the Shedinja gives off no emotion, it sees into the heartless void of the Dusclop's heart. The horrible atrocities it has seen, created and partook in. All off its malicious plots and twisted sense of strategy. All three of you were just playthings to it. Yet still, this horrid knowledge gave a glimpse into reading its next actions.

And that manages to help out Noka, as the Dusclop's right fist flies forward ablaze. The fire punch would be able to pierce Noka's Wonder Guard and share the husk to a crisp. With less health than normal Pokemon, all it had to rely on was its ability. And, well, if that armor was gone, then it would be a much dangerous fight.

In return, Noka sends its shadow towards the ghostly cyclops. In this impenetrable sphere of darkness, it was quite easy to keep it undetected. Then, you see the attack erupt beneath the opposing Pokemon, engulfing it in shadow. Yet instead of wincing in pain, your foe laughs.

T-H-A-T-T-I-C-K-L-E-S

You hear it jeer, as it switches its attention to the Maractus. After all, it never said that this was going to be a fair fight. The ghost creates the apparition of a nail and drives it straight into its own body. Cackling maniacally, it places a devastating curse on the Maractus. While halving its health was a blessing, there was now a hard time limit on the battle. Four turns until Curse knocked out the Maractus.

Adrenaline builds up inside the rattled preteen boy as he screeches; "Maractic defends yourself, Noka Use Mimic, Spite, Einherjar and grudge!" Afterwords Bobert makes a dash towards the macabre creature and begins punching it with reckless abandon the like of which is comparable to a route fistfight between an elementary schooler against a high schooler on a bus. Life and death situations don't necessitate logic all the time and well-running is not an option.

Fleur's Leaf Storm had succeeded as expected. It was astonishingly powerful and it sliced through the two malicious piles of sand mercilessly, and easily took them out, but it wasn't without sacrifice. While Fleur fired her Leaf Storm, the Sandygast must've realized that their tenure was soon to be expired; so they fired what they had left in them into the earth underneath Lucha, causing it to erupt like a psychotic volcano and fire sand into the air like the smoke and ash that followed such eruptions; and afterwards, there was a deafening silence - Lucha's hissing was nowhere to be heard.

After a quick, frantic search, Danny found a red and black paw sticking from the sand - Lucha's paw. It seemed frozen and lifeless. Danny rushed over but then stopped when the paw twitched. Lucha's paw shook strongly, then the brave Torracat rose, causing sand to erupt once more, and then once the dust settled, Danny saw Lucha, looking beaten, battered, and overly proud in himself. That was surely impressive, but Lucha had clearly taken quite the beating. He needed rest.

"You've fought....awesomely, honestly, but you need some rest and relaxation." Danny said, and zapped the Torracat back into his ball. Then, he looked ahead. Two paths. He grabbed another Pokeball, sending out Hermes the Pidgeotto, who quickly surveyed the scene.

"Let's go....that way." Danny pointed to the one on the left. He had no way of figuring out which one to follow to get to Mismagius and the Palossand - so he just picked the first one that came to his mind. Fleur seemed suspicious, but joined Danny and Hermes as the three headed down the cave.

Lil’twick - With Kyle having lost himself in his horde and forgotten what it was you had requested of him, a prompt reminder of the item in question seems to be in order. To that end, you produce the skull you had ripped from the corpse of the older boy where your other Pokemon still wait, displaying it to the Sableye in an attempt to jog his memory.

Presenting the skull certainly does evoke a reaction out of your new gem goblin friend, though not the Eureka moment you were expecting, rather a bit of horror as the skull and the rusted Pokeball the Sableye had just handed you rattle in a sickening cacophony as the two items phase out of your hands and float into the cavern, a green glow surrounding them that might remind you of jello were it somewhat more solid. The eerie energy thickens and expands, linking the two as it grasps around the Pokeball with clenched fingers appearing as a ghostly body begins to appear for the skull. Watching it all, the pose the enigmatic phantom takes seems just so… familiar, as though tugging at the strings of your memory.

Once the apparition forms in full, it screeches for a moment before tossing the rusted Pokeball forward, the joints of which crack and scream through the air as it opens mid flight to reveal a second phantom. This ghostly form is much smaller than the first, a small creature with baggy arms and legs and what appears to be bowl cut hair atop its small head, covering its eyes. Two rounded horns protrude from the hair, one forward and the other back, to finish the very familiar form of the Ralts before you. The creature simply looks back at what would be its trainer before giving you a confused glance, unsure what to do.

Another horrific screech emanates from the skull, however, and as if controlled by strings like a puppet the phantom Ralts springs into action, a small shimmering ball of light beginning to form in its palms before erupting outward with enough energy to briefly illuminate the entire dark cave. The Dazzling Gleam barely misses Kyle, who darts out of the way and behind a crystal formation to avoid the blow before chittering his teeth as he shoots a look back at you expectantly.

myahoo - After your gem goblin takes a quick moment to swipe away a shining rock from the rambling man only to discover it to be no more than a chunk of ice, you apologize to the scientist and he ventures back out of the cave. Your words, however, fall on deaf ears, his only thoughts focused on the ice even as the light ceases to filter through it to create beautiful colors as he leaves the cavern. With no response to your statement coming, there is little more to do than simply push forward into the kaleidoscope before you.

The ever-changing colors of the glass-like ice walls are almost dizzying to behold, forcing you to shift your gaze now and again and making it hard to tell if any given spot is a wall or a path hidden from your view. That is, until you pass through a shimmering arch and into a large, dome-like room, panels of ice shimmering in the same way along the ceiling as crystalline pillars stretch up from the floor and down from above, the light shining brightly through them as though they, solely, illuminate the room.

At the room’s center is a large pool, crystal clear in appearance and glowing in lighter hues that blend together in the water, a small stream feeding into the water from a hole in the back of the room, no larger than a few feet in diameter. Stepping forward, seaweed can be seen growing at the pool’s bottom in thick amounts, shifting about on occasion, as though something is hidden within the thick underwater foliage.

Prof.Enigma - Stunned by the sudden change of scenery, you muster out the strength to ask where you are, who this creature now before you is, all the while Wolfe standing guard between you and this Slowpoke now dwarfed by the Arcanine before it.

Tick tick tick…

Flashes bore through your brain once more, flashes of your own memories, and those of the small creature before you once again. At first, times of anger, paranoia, and fear. But the memories begin to shift as you dig into the times you each would experience, the times affected by the shattering of the timeline itself in the wake of Primal Dialga’s power, into those of happiness. You watch as the Slowpoke battles at the side of small children, taking part in the rental battles that once were held in the arenas here. It seems that even with the creature’s tail being harvested for food within the hotel, it once found joy on the Isle, at the sides of aspiring children dreaming themselves proper trainers. The memories cease, and you find yourself once more staring at the Slowpoke. Wolfe does his best to put himself between the two of you, and yet you find your eyes locked as the creature echoes your own words back into your mind.

Who… are… you?

Missingno. Master - With the Onix now unfurled before you, Hermoine’s note taking is promptly stopped for the moment, the ground shaking with every slight movement so as to prevent close calligraphy in the first place. Instead, you opt to take your Pokedex and try for a scan of the beast, having Homer offer a Sitrus Berry in an attempt to get the beast to remain still long enough to do so.

The bait seems like it might just work, the Onix stretching its massive length out to arc over the berry and take a sniff as the Pokedex begins to scan, but fate would not be so kind this day. A sudden screech draws all eyes higher up the mountain, a hulking wyvern dropping from a gigantic next above the clouds to swoop up the fresh food. The grey winged beast’s stone hide guards it well as the Onix attempts to shove it out of the way and defend its gift, allowing the Aerodactyl to nab the berry and begin gliding over the Cauldera and away from the mountaintop. The rock snake is having none of this, clearly coveting the gift that was offered, and rearing up to absolutely massive heights before launching itself forward.

The snake slams headfirst into the ancient creature, driving it into the boiling water of the Caldera as both creatures’ stony flesh hiss with contact before disappearing as the sands and glass shards are stirred up. The entire form of the beast vanishes beneath the surface, a surprising feat to be sure, before the steam dissipates to reveal another gigantic tunnel now formed. The Onix, clutching the smaller creature in its mouth, promptly emerges from the mountainside, blasting through the waterfall and tumbling down towards the Cracked Canyon below.

Looking back, your Pokedex beeps, unable to finish its scan before the loss of your prey, it now clear that you’ll need to make chase again. However, it seems the hole now formed is draining the Caldera at a surprising rate. There’s no telling what damage could be done to this delicate ecosystem should this not be taken care of promptly.

Slash - Lacey stares at you, bewildered, as you scan her Clobbopus. But whether it was your action of doing so or something else that left her at a loss of words, who can truly know? Your offer of a battle snaps her out of it, though, and she glances down at the Clobbopus for approval. “I don’t know, we don’t usually battle to train around here, do we Hurley?”

The Clobbopus simply smacks its two stronger tentacles together before slamming them into the bright white sand before it. The trainer takes this as eagerness, emphatically shouting back, “Well I guess we’re good to go, then!” With a leap, she lunges forward at incredible speed, scooping the small cephalopod up and allowing Hurley to rest atop her head a moment as she produces a Friend Ball from seemingly nowhere.

The orb is tossed forward, a flash of light revealing her chosen champion for the moment, a large blue orb-like Pokemon with a soft blue bubble pattern separating its lower and upper halves. Rabbit-like ears stretch out atop its head as a zigzagging thin black tail reaches out to define its silhouette with a small blue orb at the end. A short shout of “Azu!” signals its eagerness as it looks back at its trainer with ready eyes.

“I’ll be starting with Bubs here! Let’s see what you’ve got!”

Seeing the wraith burst forth from the skull, as well as the ghostly form of the Ralts, Ethan's mind rings. It writhes and wreathes at the sharp imagery before him before everything turns into ringing pain. This was... This was... THIS WAS IT. He then felt himself blank, the scenery before him fading away into black.

----

A teenager, no more the age of 17, blinks for a minute. That's right, he had met with some strange man on the ghost train and they both were immediately accosted by a banshee. During the ensuing fight, he decided to jump off of the train instead of helping out. He felt compelled to, as if to escape from the shackles of fate. That his search for his own memories would be fruitless if he was with that man.

When he awoke, he was in an abyss of dilapidated buildings, seas of gray, and weird hands called Watchers. Only Wisp was with him at that point, his trusted Litwick who agreed to go on this journey with him. That loveable little candle, and the partner he knew he'd have to the end... Even if he felt familiar at times. But that was normal, right?

As they journeyed through this land, they encountered an eccentric hex maniac. The lad seemed to have gotten here from some sort of failed magic ritual. Though, even if he was creepy, he certainly has proved that he would be helpful. He saved him, and his team, from those Watchers. They even met rogue Pokemon along the way, from a Sableye, to a Nuzleaf, and to a Ralts.

And that journey led up to this moment. A barrier stood before him, and he couldn't bring ghost Pokemon with him. He turned back at everyone behind him, and looked at Wisp.

"I'll be back, I promise," he stated to the Litwick with a happy smile. Grab the artifact and come out. What could possibly go wrong?

And with a small amount of trepidation, the teenager walked through the barrier. Into a haze of memory, still hidden and locked away.

----

Blinking, Ethan looked at the specters before him. They were the same. What happened that caused them to not make it out. How did the boy and his team get out, but not them? He cursed, knowing that that revelation would soon be in his mind's eye. The event horizon at the very edge of locked away memories. If he couldn't recover what the kid went through during his time in Fizzytopia, there'd be no point in recovering what transpired beforehand.

"Kyle!" he yelled out, hand tightly gripping his forehead. The Sableye looked at him with a little shock, still hiding away from the spirit and its Dazzling Gleam.

"Time to give them their last rights. Nasty Plot up! I know a trickster like you has some tricks up your sleeves here. Next, use a Confuse Ray against the spirit. Having an addled, decaying mind is a massive detriment on the battlefield. Lastly, when you see an opening, blast it hard with a Shadow Ball!" Ethan barked out his orders, gritting his teeth from the pain.

More... He needed more. For this fervor would launch him just to the point he needed. And then that twisted tale would end, a memory be restored, and he could begin to dig even deeper. His "blood" was boiling at this point. A body made to handle this task, even if the body itself not know if its true nature.
