I watched the run right when it was posted. Say what you like about Werster, he's really knowledgeable about what he does and can be a good commentator when he feels like it.

I also really liked Trihex's co-commentary. Great chemistry between the two. |

At SGDQ 2014, Mecha Richter and several other runners played Ninja Baseball Bat Man. On July 7, I saw the video and noticed at 21m59s an interesting announcement from the donation reader:

Super Mario World glitch run -- credits roll in 6 minutes.
The Pow Block glitch he makes use of isn't new -- it's been showcased at GDQ events before, with the demonstrators using the glitch to write code of their own -- but using the glitch to reach the credits is new and makes use of a lot of never-before-seen precise item placement. It's pretty interesting.

Been watching a lot of GDQ in my downtime lately (lot of free time during the day because I work mid-afternoon/evenings typically). Some of the tricks are ridiculously creative (watched a Metroid Prime run earlier today, which is a particularly optimised speedrun game).

And he's doing Turtles in Time. Is this Christmas!? :'D

I'll probably only be watching the Kirby: Squeak Squad run today. Maybe Super Mario 64 but not 100% sure yet.

Yeah I have to leave so I can't catch all of it but my god the Squeak Squad run is amazing, it took me forever to beat this game as a kid so it's crazy seeing it run.

No, the other guy with grey hair.
Y'know, the bishonen-looking guy. ...wait, that could be anyone in the cast. The guy with that sword. Which BTW is coming right up. |

But enough with the hang-ups! It's SGDQ! As always, looking forward to watching Sinister1's and Duckfist's runs. Hoping to also see some Touhou speed runs this year, though it's doubtful. (I think we had Super Marisa Land one year in a dicking-around block but I want a 1cc Lunatic speed run of any of 6 through 12!) It's a shame Mighty No.9 was so poorly received ... it would have been the perfect new Mega Man game for GDQ events. Spoilers for older Punch-Out runs: Spoiler: show

Runner's grandma watches him play from the commentary couch, asking how he's doing.
This is super precious (and also a good run) |

No tears over here. :\ Game was okay, runner was impressive, obviously, for playing with one hand. Dad donation and post-run message didn't have the same effect on me that they did on you guys but oh well. :') I'm glad he did generally have the impact that he had on you two and I wish him the best. Very nice young man.
