Trainer Name: Jake Celeste
Age: 15 Gender: Male Birthday: April 2 Custom Sprites: (image placeholder)(image placeholder) Appearance: Jake Celeste stands at 5’7”. He has light brown hair, hazel eyes, and slightly tanned skin. He wears a plain blue shirt most of the time, and he also wears black gloves with green stripes on the fingers. Jake normally wears cargo shorts the color of a pizza crust, and casual black and blue sneakers/tennis shoes (if tennis even exists in the Pokémon world). He wears a black and green baseball cap (similar pattern to Ash’s hat from the Advanced Generation series in the Pokémon anime). Only, in the beginning of his journey in Fizzytopia, he has decided to ditch the hat for now until he becomes a more "wild" adventurer. Jake put his hat in his adventurer's backpack (bag), to be stored until he decides to wear it. Background: Jake’s past is mostly a secret. The one thing people know about him is that he has the gift of aura manipulation, i.e. he can create barriers, aura spheres, and aura bubbles, and he can transmit aura energy to others in emergencies. (Transmitting aura to others is potentially fatal, so he avoids doing this.) He can read the auras, and thus thoughts, of all living things. This is because a living thing's aura changes based on what they're thinking. Jake's strong aura also protects him from being affected by mental assaults such as Confuse Ray or Hypnosis. His family line through his father inherits this gifted trait. Jake’s Buizel was given to him as a gift from his father, who taught the Sea Weasel Pokémon a move it could not learn otherwise (Ice Punch). Jake’s origins are in Pastoria City, Sinnoh. Jake is capable of speaking Skarmory language ever since his family programmed the autopilot in their helicopter, the Skarmorix. A quirk in the machine's code caused it to speak only Skarmory language when communicating, but the Trainer's family adapted, using the feature to help them study Pokémon language(s). However, Jake realized that he'd only be able to communicate with the Skarmorix's autopilot if he learned Skarmory language, since machines don't radiate auras, so he asked his Lucario to teach him, and the aura-using Pokémon happily agreed. Since then, the training Aura Guardian has been able to speak the language of the Armor Bird Pokémon, Skarmory. Personality/Battle Style: Jake is normally cheerful and collected, and is willing to help out a friend in need. He doesn't usually get angry, normally using snarky remarks and replies on his side of an argument, but when he does get angry, he explodes. Like a raging Dragonite. So don't anger him, case closed. Jake is clever and witty in battle, using tricks to lure his opponent into a favorable position for him. He prefers speed and power over defense, and trains his Pokémon likewise. He always seems to know what an opponent is planning, and is an expert at thwarting such plans in unorthodox ways. He is familiar with the spinning technique often used to deflect special attacks, and, while he uses that technique to its fullest, he also exploits his opponents' attempts to use it. It's all science; if the target spins clockwise, Jake’s Pokémon aims their special attack slightly to the opponent’s right. If the target spins counterclockwise, then Jake’s Pokémon aims slightly to the opponent’s left. The target’s spinning generates suction, making special attacks surround them like a Fire Spin instead of bouncing off. Pokémon: Buizel Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Water Level: 54 Bond: 30 Nature: Naive Ability: Swift Swim Moves: Sonic Boom, Growl, Water Sport, Quick Attack, Water Gun, Ice Punch, Razor Snow, Waterfall, Energy Ball, Hydro Pump, Aura Sphere, Earth Power, Pursuit, Swift, Aqua Jet, Rain Dance, Thunder, Power-Up Punch, Double Hit, Agility, Grass Knot, Whirlpool, Hydro Cannon, Water Pulse, Psychic Fangs, Razor Wind, Surf, Aqua Ring, Aqua Tail, Gummi Bomb [Dragon], Guardian Terrain, Defensive Shield, Bouncy Bubble, Triple Axel, Life Dew, Helping Hand, Pollen Puff, Iron Tail, Dragon Dance Evolution: ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: November 30 Method of Obtainment: Starter Pokémon Bio: Buizel was Jake's family pet up until he turned 10, when his dad let him take Buizel as his starter Pokémon. Buizel is loyal, quick-thinking, and sneaky, and will often surprise Jake by doing him an unexpected favor, such as standing up to someone he thinks is threatening his Trainer. Buizel is unique in that he has the power to use aura, a rare trait among non-Riolu or Lucario. Like his whole family, Buizel loves water and often splashes in the sea at beaches on the edge of Sinnoh, where he and Jake often vacation. Buizel has great people skills, uh, I mean, Pokémon skills, and he has convinced many Pokémon over the course of Jake's journey to help the duo out at certain times. (Note: I will not reference any of these "helpers" in the zones.) Staraptor Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Normal/Flying Level: 41 Bond: 30 Nature: Jolly Ability: Reckless (HA) Moves: Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Wing Attack, Heat Wave, Double Team, Double-Edge, Roost, Endeavor, Whirlwind, Facade, Retaliate, Aerial Ace, Acrobatics, Defog, Take Down, Wild Charge, Close Combat, Ominous Wind, Hurricane, Gummi Bomb [Steel], Scorching Sands, Guardian Terrain, Shadow End, Fly, Tailwind, Defensive Shield, Volt Tackle, Agility, Mirror Move, Flare Blitz Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: March 6 Method of Obtainment: Adoption Bio: As a Starly, Staraptor was the first Pokémon that Jake adopted to prepare for his adventure in the Arcane Realm's Land of Cups. Right from the start, he has shown to be an eager, loud bird Pokémon. Turned blue by the energy of his Trainer’s aura, Staraptor has achieved his goal of one day growing big, strong and fierce, like how he is now. Since evolving from Starly, he has developed a greater love for battling, and grew extremely fast and powerful for his species; evolving from Staravia has further improved these traits. Whether this newfound strength comes from his aura treatment is yet to be known. Lucario Spoiler: show ![]() Held Item: Lucarionite Gender: Male Type: Fighting/Steel Level: 87 Bond: 30 Nature: Hardy Ability: Justified (HA) (Adaptability as Mega Lucario) Moves: Quick Attack, Foresight, Endure, Extreme Speed, Dragon Pulse, Close Combat, Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, Detect, Laser Focus, Metal Claw, Mind Reader, Helping Hand, Magnet Rise, Meteor Mash, Blaze Kick, Psychic, Feint, Life Dew, Nasty Plot, Work Up, Rock Smash, Screech, Force Palm, Copycat, Final Gambit, Reversal, Counter, Flash Cannon, Bone Rush, Me First, Power-Up Punch, Swords Dance, High Jump Kick, Thunderbolt, Calm Mind, Metal Sound, Quick Guard, Water Pulse, Focus Blast, Heal Pulse, Guardian Terrain, Gummi Bomb [Flying], Draco Meteor, Defensive Shield, Terrain Pulse, Brick Break, Aerial Ace, Steel Beam, Sky Uppercut, Circle Throw, Coaching, Freezy Frost, Heal Bell, Bullet Punch, Stored Power Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: July 30 Method of Obtainment: Trade Bio: Like his Trainer Jake, Lucario is perceptive and patient. He can utilize aura just like Jake can, but he and his Trainer are still learning the technique(s). Lucario is a versatile, speedy attacker that can battle from a distance just as well as close-range. Lucario is Jake's right-hand Pokémon aside from Buizel, and the two have perfect synergy with each other, as their auras are remarkably similar. Although Jake can understand Pokémon via aura, he may not be able to grasp every single word that a Pokémon is saying (or trying to say). Usually, Jake doesn't bother, but if understanding every single word a Pokémon says is of utmost importance at the moment, he asks Lucario to translate for him, which the Aura Pokémon gladly agrees to if asked. Lucario can speak with telepathy, and his translations are almost always in real time, so it's like the Pokémon that Lucario is translating for is speaking by themselves. With his held Lucarionite, said Lucarionite having been stumbled on by his Trainer by chance (even though Lucario himself insists on it having been "fate"), Lucario can finally unleash his unhindered aura with Mega Evolution Energy together. Gengar Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Ghost/Poison Level: 56 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Quirky Ability: Levitate Moves: Disable, Haze, Smog, Shadow Punch, Perish Song, Reflect Type, Lick, Hypnosis, Spite, Mean Look, Poison Gas, Curse, Will-O-Wisp, Confuse Ray, Night Shade, Toxic, Sucker Punch, Hex, Payback, Shadow Ball, Icy Wind, Psychic, Dream Eater, Taunt, Sludge Bomb, Dazzling Gleam, Fire Punch, Drain Punch, Giga Drain, Pain Split, Thunderbolt, Dark Pulse, Destiny Bond, Skitter Smack, Focus Blast, Venoshock, Nightmare, Mimic, Hydro Pump, Gummi Bomb [Psychic], Steel Roller, Skill Swap, Grassy Terrain Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: October 31 Method of Obtainment: Caught in Spectral Forest (Trade) Bio: Jake caught Haunter in the Spectral Forest at his Secret Base, along with her friend Mimikyu. Although Mimikyu expressed a wish to have a Trainer that was preferably not Jake, and is now with another Trainer, Haunter was more than happy to join Jake's team. After being caught, Haunter evolved into Gengar. She is an energetic, exciting Ghost Pokémon who is very friendly, unlike most of her species, which are malicious. However, and notably so, Gengar can't speak human language, despite Jake being sure she is the ghost of a deceased person and should be able to do so. Seviper Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Poison Level: 43 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Hasty Ability: Shed Skin Moves: Wrap, Swagger, Bite, Lick, Poison Tail, Feint, Screech, Venoshock, Glare, Poison Fang, Venom Drench, Night Slash, Aqua Tail, Toxic, Crunch, Gastro Acid, Poison Jab, Haze, Swords Dance, Snatch, High Horsepower, Gummi Bomb [Water], Magnet Rise, Hex, Belch, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain Evolution: ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 20 Beautiful: 20 Cute: 20 Clever: 20 Tough: 20 Birthday: May 19 Method of Obtainment: Trade Bio: When he was ten, at his old home in Sinnoh, Jake found his father's Zangoose fighting with a wild Seviper in the nearby woods. Trying to prevent bloodshed, Jake ran over and tackled the Seviper, wrestling it to the ground with his bare hands. The act instantly earned both Seviper and Zangoose's respect, and as a result, Seviper allowed Jake to catch him. However, a week before Jake set off to Fizzytopia, Seviper mysteriously went missing. Jake tried but could not locate the Fang Snake Pokémon. Dejected, the aspiring Aura Guardian headed to Fizzytopia without Seviper. Two months later, while Jake was adventuring in a deep forest, he found his Pokémon, hanging from a tree branch and in need of medical attention. Jake lugged the 52-kilogram Fang Snake all the way to the nearest Pokémon Center, where he was nursed back to health. This courageous deed of kindness mended Jake and Seviper's friendship, and now they are very good friends, just like they were before. Charizard Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Fire/Flying Level: 44 Bond: 30 Nature: Quirky Ability: Blaze Moves: Bite, Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen, Dragon Dance, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Dragon Breath, Metal Claw, Leer, Rage, Dragon Rage, Fire Fang, Fury Swipes, Outrage, Iron Tail, Heat Wave, Scary Face, Power-Up Punch, Slash, Power Whip, Helping Hand, Rock Slide, Fire Blast, Flame Burst, Fire Spin, Air Slash, Counter, Crunch, Dragon Claw, Shadow Claw, Wing Attack, Overheat, Sunny Day, Gummi Bomb [Fighting], Soft-Boiled, Guardian Terrain, Draco Meteor, Fly, Will-O-Wisp, Scorching Sands, Defensive Shield, Sizzly Slide, Ice Beam, Hex, Thunder Punch, High Horsepower Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: February 27 Method of Obtainment: Hatched at the Hatchery Bio: In a chance encounter with a merchant just off the Fool's Path, Jake had a rare opportunity to obtain a Kanto Starter Pokémon. The merchant was giving away a Bulbasaur, a Charmander, and a Squirtle. This was no hard choice for Jake, who went for Charmander immediately. As a Charmander, he revealed himself to be cocky and assured, acting like he is more "mature" than the rest. This had gotten him into trouble with Jake's other Pokémon prior to evolution. Since evolving the first time to protect Buizel from danger, Charizard had taken up a more caring attitude, and he's now more open to cooperating instead of competing. Evolving a second time after overcoming one particular Gigantamax Pokémon caused him to undergo another slight change in his personality, and he has actually matured, no longer prone to conflict. Even so, the Fire and Flying-type retains the pride he has always possessed, displaying this trait with being one of Jake's forms of aerial transportation. Jukin Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Normal Level: 26 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Timid Ability: Soundproof Moves: Pound, Echoed Voice, Disarming Voice, Hyper Voice, Shadow Ball, Astonish, Howl, Screech, Rest, Sleep Talk, Supersonic, Bite, Uproar, Stomp, Body Slam, Mega Kick, Brick Break, Unfinished Symphony, Sing Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 20 Beautiful: 20 Cute: 20 Clever: 20 Tough: 20 Birthday: March 24 Method of Obtainment: Adoption Bio: Jukin, unlike most Loudred, prefers singing to screaming the roof off a house. A naturally musical Pokémon, she was an anomaly among the Whismur in her litter, who kicked her out because she refused to use Supersonic the right way, insisting upon singing haunting tunes instead of emitting simple noise. Not only that, but she didn't want to evolve to Exploud because she would lose the wonderful music-playing ears that Whismur and Loudred had. Soon after Jake adopted her, he learned of this, and promised to help her prove that ear-hurting noise is not the only way for her evolutionary line. Ditto Spoiler: show ![]() Held Item: Quick Powder Gender: Genderless Type: Normal Level: 20 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Mild Ability: Limber Moves: Transform, Celebrate, Foul Play, Mega Kick, Gummi Bomb [Psychic], Vacuum Wave Evolution: ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: March 30 Method of Obtainment: Hatched at the Hatchery Bio: Hatched from a Birthday Egg, Ditto possesses immense intellectual talent, and has a photographic memory, making it able to transform into anything it sees. Of course, when it was still a newly-hatched Pokémon, it hadn't seen many things yet, so it didn't really show, but as it got more acquainted with its teammates, it has proven a big help in training and helping out. While transformed into Jake, or any human for that matter, it can speak human language and serve as many things from a battle referee to a Pokémon Center nurse. Although its natural movepool consists only of Transform, it plans to know enough moves to the point where it doesn't even need to use Transform to fare well in a battle. Seismitoad Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Water/Ground Level: 44 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Bashful Ability: Water Absorb (HA) Moves: Bubble, Echoed Voice, Growl, Acid, Supersonic, Round, Bubble Beam, Mud Shot, Aqua Ring, Scald, Uproar, Flail, Earth Power, Muddy Water, Mud Sport, Rain Dance, Icy Wind, Power Whip, Drain Punch, Gastro Acid, Toxic, Hex, Hydro Pump, Bounce, High Horsepower Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: January 17 Method of Obtainment: Adoption Bio: With only the other Pokémon to keep her company back at the Adoption Center as a Tympole, Seismitoad seldom made conversation. Make no mistake, however; there is a lot of potential in the Vibration Pokémon, even fully evolved, and when upset or angered, she is a force to reckon with. When she was a Tympole, she offered to join Jake's team, and quickly became best friends with Jukin the Whismur (now a Loudred), a fellow Pokémon with an affinity for sound moves. However, unlike Jukin, Seismitoad does not have any special interest in music, simply using sound techniques like the rest of her species does: vibrating the organs on her shoulders, back, and arms. Having reached the final stage of her evolutionary line, Seismitoad has become significantly more outgoing as a result of improving in size and power, though she retains a bit of characteristic insecurity from when she was a Tympole and Palpitoad. Luxray Spoiler: show ![]() Held Item: Magnet Gender: Female Type: Electric Level: 43 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Hardy Ability: Intimidate Moves: Howl, Tackle, Leer, Thunder Shock, Flash, Charge, Helping Hand, Ice Fang, Magnet Rise, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Wild Charge, Baby-Doll Eyes, Bite, Spark, Roar, Swagger, Volt Switch, Signal Beam, Psychic Fangs, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Charge Beam, Swift, Electric Terrain, Scary Face, Rising Voltage, Dazzling Gleam, Play Rough, Light Screen Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 30 Beautiful: 30 Cute: 30 Clever: 30 Tough: 30 Birthday: December 8 Method of Obtainment: Caught at Fizzy Power Co. Gym (Hatched at the Hatchery) Bio: While Jake and Lucario were at the Fizzy Power Co. Gym to help subdue a Dynamaxed Morpeko, no one noticed Luxray as a Shinx hiding behind the nearby reactor. The Flash Pokémon had been there for weeks, initially drawn in by the high levels of electricity. As the Dynamax Energy dissipated after the successful raid, Jake and Lucario prepared to head home, but not before the slightly larger-than-normal Shinx jumped out at them, struggling with the large amounts of voltage she had taken in. To help with the problem, the two aura users ingeniously used Lucario's Bone Rush to direct Shinx's excess electricity into the ground, and afterwards Jake convinced Shinx to join his team. Unlike how unsettled she had acted at the power plant, Luxray is actually quite stable and focused, skilled in using attacks and status moves in equal quantities. And of course, she has proven helpful in teaching Buizel Electric-type moves. Since evolving from Luxio, now that she is big enough to ride on, the Gleam Eyes Pokémon serves as Jake’s main form of land transportation. Last edited by Zorchic; 03-12-2023 at 01:33 PM. |

Bios 11-20
Carnivine
Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Grass Level: 24 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Quirky Ability: Levitate Moves: Magical Leaf, Bind, Growth, Bite, Vine Whip, Power Whip, Sweet Scent, Ingrain, Leech Seed, Acrobatics Evolution: ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: July 10 Method of Obtainment: Hatched at the Hatchery Bio: Having hatched from an Egg Jake received at the Haunted Mansion, Carnivine became comfortable with Ghost-type Pokémon when she was still in her Egg. Because of this, the Grass-type quickly made friends with Jake's Gengar, the two also sharing the Ability to Levitate. Despite her exposure to Ghost-types, or perhaps because of this exposure, Carnivine shows less of a preference for lying in wait for prey like most of her species, and more of a preference to hunt like a bird Pokémon does, "flying" around and diving for tasty Bug-type Pokémon. As such, the ambitious Bug Catcher Pokémon aims to learn Flying-type moves to help master this type of hunting. Excadrill Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Ground/Steel Level: 34 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Jolly Ability: Mold Breaker (HA) Moves: Metal Sound, Rock Climb, Mud Sport, Mud-Slap, Rapid Spin, Scratch, Earthquake, Hone Claws, Fury Swipes, Drill Run, Earth Power, Metal Claw, Dig, Sandstorm, Crush Claw, Slash, Flash Cannon, Scorching Sands, Rock Slide, Submission, Hydro Pump, Horn Drill, Rototiller Evolution: ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: October 5 Method of Obtainment: Trade Bio: Despite being part Steel-type, Excadrill's personality is more similar to Buizel's than Lucario's. The Subterrene Pokémon is always willing to help Jake out with tasks and errands, especially with transportation. Excadrill also enjoys battling; with her large drill and claws, she has more oomph with her physical moves than almost all of Jake's other Pokémon. With this happy, friendly and relatively easygoing demeanor also comes a sense of loyalty, and the Ground and Steel-type is more than ready to fight till the end for those she cares about; it was loyalty combined with a sense of necessity that caused her evolution. Gyarados Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Water/Flying Level: 21 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Adamant Ability: Intimidate Moves: Splash, Bounce, Hydro Pump, Tackle, Rollout, Bite, Bind, Dragon Rage, Flail, Leer, Thrash, Twister, Whirlpool, Ice Fang, Brine, Scary Face, Rage, Waterfall Evolution: ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: April 1 Method of Obtainment: Found at the Campus of the Tech and Psychic (Trade) Bio (as a Magikarp): Magikarp originally had another Trainer, who according to a letter, released him to spare him from the cruel experiments of a villainous organization. Jake found Magikarp in its Pokéball, along with the aforementioned letter, in a small wooden crate that washed up on the beach of the Campus of the Tech and Psychic, and offered to become its new owner, which the Fish Pokémon readily agreed to. Magikarp is immensely grateful to Jake for rescuing him from the lonely crate and giving him another chance to evolve to help reach the heights of his power, and is determinedly loyal to the Aura Guardian, putting full trust in Jake. Magikarp having come from the same original Trainer as Jake's Dreepy, the two are good friends and often help each other in training. Drakloak Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Dragon/Ghost Level: 61 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Modest (Drakloak); Docile (Dreepy) Ability: Clear Body Moves: Confuse Ray, Astonish, Infestation, Quick Attack, Bite, Curse, Focus Blast, Power Swap, Guard Swap, Breaking Swipe, Mystical Fire, Shadow Ball, Gummi Bomb [Water], Soft-Boiled, Guardian Terrain, Hydro Cannon, Double Team, High Horsepower, Dragon Pulse, Lock-On, Assurance, Hex, Agility, Double Hit, U-turn, Dragon Dance, Phantom Force, Take Down, Dragon Rush Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 20 Beautiful: 20 Cute: 20 Clever: 20 Tough: 20 Birthday: February 7 Method of Obtainment: Caught at the Campus of the Tech and Psychic (Hatched at the Hatchery) Bio (Drakloak): Drakloak originally had another Trainer, who according to a letter, released her to spare her from the cruel experiments of a villainous organization. Jake found Drakloak as a Dreepy in her Pokéball, buried under some sand under the dock leading to the Campus of the Tech and Psychic, and offered to become her new owner, even giving her a Luxury Ball to live in to replace her dirty old one, which the then Lingering Pokémon happily agreed to. Drakloak is immensely grateful to Jake for rescuing her from the dark, damp environment and giving her another chance to evolve to help reach the heights of her power, and is readily loyal to the Aura Guardian, putting full trust in Jake. Drakloak having come from the same original Trainer as Jake's Magikarp, the two are good friends and often help each other in training. Since evolving and accommodating for a Dreepy atop her head, Drakloak has made sure to help her new friend feel as comfortable as possible with Jake and their teammates, something that the natural instinct of her species aids in. Bio (Dreepy): Dreepy was drawn in by the Sky Lanterns to the Lunar New Year Festival during which Drakloak was later evolved; he was as overjoyed as his now-caretaker was to find another Pokémon like him. Being cared for by a Pokémon with a Trainer was something to get used to at first, but Dreepy finds his new environment much safer and more comfortable than fending for himself in the wild. Knowing that he would be used in attacks much more frequently after Drakloak evolves again, the Lingering Pokémon has decided to enjoy the calm ride while it lasts. Grovyle Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Grass Level: 25 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Naive Ability: Overgrow Moves: Pound, Leer, Leaf Storm, Giga Drain, Leafage, Absorb, Quick Attack, Mega Drain, Toxic, Bullet Seed, Detect, Thunder Punch, Drill Run, Quick Guard, Pursuit, Assurance, Screech, Slam, Agility, Fury Cutter, Energy Ball, False Swipe, X-Scissor, Leaf Blade Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: July 18 Method of Obtainment: Trade Bio: As a Treecko, Grovyle was left in the middle of a beaten path in the middle of one of the many deserts of Fizzytopia, and Jake found him in the wake of a "robbery". The Wood Gecko Pokémon, trapped in a net with his left foot clamped in some sort of technological device, seemed battered and beaten up, but most concernedly, burned. Fortunately, the burn was minor and only affected the foot that had been clamped, and the young Aura Guardian freed Treecko from the net and tended to his wounds the best he could. When a Pokémon poacher arrived at the scene not long after Jake destroyed the aforementioned technological device, seeking the worn-out Grass-type, Jake fought him off with an intense Pokémon battle, diverting any possible harm. Grateful to Jake for saving him from potentially ill treatment, Treecko willingly joined his team. Grovyle gets along especially well with Pokémon who are normally laid-back, yet resourceful in a pinch, like him. Ribombee Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Bug/Fairy Level: 32 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Docile Ability: Shield Dust Moves: Moonblast, Absorb, Fairy Wind, Stun Spore, Struggle Bug, Sweet Scent, Silver Wind, Draining Kiss, Bug Buzz, Pollen Puff, Covet, Aura Sphere, Psyshock, Roost, Aromatherapy, Powder, Earth Power Evolution: ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: February 24 Method of Obtainment: Caught at the Campus of the Tech and Psychic (Hatched at the Hatchery) Bio: A former member of a wild swarm, Ribombee was frequently used by the swarm's leader as a Cutiefly for his powerful Moonblasts that packed a surprisingly forceful punch. After being forced to use the attack on a Luxio, Jake's Luxio, who meant no harm to his swarm, he left the colony, and was immediately drawn to the aura of Jake Celeste. Now a Pokémon on Jake's team, the Bug and Fairy-type helps calm the atmosphere around him just by being present, and his friendly and caring character has served to lighten the general mood of his Trainer and several other Pokémon on the team. Uniquely, his species' dislike of water has taken a backseat since his evolution, but something else now bothers the Bee Fly Pokémon: when others mistake him for a female. Pawniard Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Dark/Steel Level: 25 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Quirky Ability: Defiant Moves: Leer, Scratch, Mean Look, Psycho Cut, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, Smart Strike, Aerial Ace, Dark Pulse, Fury Cutter, Metal Claw, Torment, Feint Attack, Magnet Rise, Liquidation, Scary Face, Assurance Evolution: ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: November 23 Method of Obtainment: Trade Bio: Pawniard came to Jake in some tense and troubling times for Fizzytopia, several Trainers having disappeared all around the region. It is hard to say whether the Dark and Steel-type is aware of this, him quickly taking on a calm, but alert and obedient, demeanor. The Sharp Blade Pokémon has a remarkably cold temper, and angering him in the conventional sense is near impossible due to his, well, sharpness, both in exterior and in wit. In battle, Pawniard uses a combination of swift blade movements and clever, distracting jokes to best his opponents, those jokes the same ones he cracks randomly to lighten the mood outside of battle. He trains diligently with the guidance of Jake's Lucario, whom he looks up to as a mentor. Sobble Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Male Type: Water Level: 39 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Serious Ability: Sniper (HA) Moves: Pound, Growl, Camouflage, Brine, Frost Breath, Psychic, Water Gun, Bind, Haze, Focus Energy, Water Pulse, Bouncy Bubble, Shadow Blast, Tearful Look, Aqua Jet, Drill Run, Sucker Punch, U-turn, Liquidation, Soak, Rain Dance Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 20 Beautiful: 20 Cute: 20 Clever: 20 Tough: 20 Birthday: May 5 Method of Obtainment: Caught at Foammarine Dock (Trade) Bio: Sobble was caught at the same time Jake's Froakie was, having hatched from an Egg from a pile Jake had to recover from a Pokémon poacher, this poacher being the same one that Jake rescued his Treecko from. The Water Lizard Pokémon considers Froakie an honorary younger sister (by barely a minute) and a partner against crime, both of them sharing a sense of resourcefulness and quick thinking for which Jake commended them. Despite the fact that the Sobble species is known for crying powerful tears when scared, Jake's Sobble cries mainly for the pleasure of seeing his opponents cry—usually not out of fear. When he is scared, he is more inclined to more quickly fade into thin air through use of his Camouflage, which he also uses to sneak up on others. One can think him a bit sadistic, but he is actually a reliable Pokémon who takes training quite seriously. Froakie Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Female Type: Water Level: 34 Bond: Quicklink Nature: Hasty Ability: Protean (HA) Moves: Power-Up Punch, Water Sport, Growl, Pound, Brine, Aerial Ace, Bubble, Snatch, Power Whip, Quick Attack, Lick, Liquidation, Shadow Storm, Water Pulse, Smokescreen, Round, Fling, Smack Down Evolution: ![]() ![]() ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: October 12 Method of Obtainment: Caught at Foammarine Dock (Hatched at the Hatchery) Bio: Froakie was caught at the same time Jake's Sobble was, having hatched from an Egg from a pile Jake had to recover from a Pokémon poacher, this poacher being the same one that Jake rescued his Treecko from. The Bubble Frog Pokémon considers Sobble an honorary older brother (by barely a minute) and a partner against crime, both of them sharing a sense of resourcefulness and quick thinking for which Jake commended them. An ambitious Pokémon, Froakie strives to learn as many different types of moves as she can, to better put her Ability Protean to use. Ever since Jake caught her, he has been noticing move-teaching items occasionally vanishing from his Bag or losing their magical properties, and it's not difficult to find out the culprit. The Trainer is ultimately okay with this, however, as she enjoys training and there are good intentions behind her "stealing". Vindicta Spoiler: show ![]() Gender: Genderless Type: Psychic Level: 36 Bond: Quicklink Clarity: 6 Nature: (Undeclared) Ability: Levitate Moves: Hidden Power [Psychic], Shadow Blast, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Panic, Shadow Chill, Shadow Fire, Cosmic Power, Expanding Force, Throat Chop, Focus Blast Evolution: ![]() Contest Stats: Cool: 10 Beautiful: 10 Cute: 10 Clever: 10 Tough: 10 Birthday: January 16 Method of Obtainment: Caught at The Twisty Shrine (The Realm of Shadows) Bio: As an Unown, and a Shadow Pokémon formed from a strange process in the Realm of Shadows at that, Vindicta is frustratingly cryptic. During the battle after which Jake caught it, it attacked him and his then Luxio on sight, treating them like an enemy or intruder with all of its Shadowy being, instead of fleeing the scene like one might expect from a Shadow Unown. Not even aura-reading abilities can figure out what this Pokémon is up to; its heart is closed off to all emotion, betraying only instinct, and it never speaks, save for its incomprehensible uttering of Shadow Panic. Even so, the enigmatic Symbol Pokémon obeys its Trainer’s commands, never questioning them, to the point where Jake wonders if there is anything beneath the Shadowy aura at all. The Egg was guarded closely by the Crobat, who was the leader of the Zubat and Golbat in the caverns, until it was ready to hatch. It so happened that a Trainer with a Crawdaunt, looking for a supposed Egg, broke into Crobat's cave on the day the Egg later hatched. Sensing that the Trainer was up to no good, Crobat refused to divulge any information about an Egg, and was pinned to the ground by Crawdaunt for failing to comply, confirming her suspicions. Fortunately, Jake then arrived at the scene and defeated the other Trainer in a decisive Pokémon battle, forcing that Trainer to leave. Grateful for the assistance, the Crobat allowed the young Aura Guardian to keep the Egg that had been spoken of (and as a result, the Pokémon that hatched from it). Noibat is shy but quick; her friends include Drakloak, a fellow Dragon-type, and Jukin, a fellow Pokémon with an affinity for sound, as well as mentors in Staraptor and Charizard.
