My, oh my, you truly are being such a spoilsport here, aren't ya? Well, fine! If you want to trash the place, then I'll just have to blast you off the stage with some good ol' Brine (65 BP; conditions for double damage met; Rain-boosted)!

Dynamax Boss Monferno
★★★

Health Gauge: 21%
Shields Up: 0
Status: Atk +5, Def -2, SpDef -2, Focus Energy
Weather: None

Raid Boss Attack Summary:

Attack 1: Max Wyrmwind (130 BP)
ChrisClark13, Buizel: 105 HP
Attack 2: Shadow Claw (70 BP)
Median Dia, Starmie: 164 HP HP
Attack 3: Focus Punch (150 BP)
Prof.Enigma, Arcanine:: 95 HP
Raid Challengers:
  • Median Dia, Starmie: 164 HP [Atk -1, Def -1]
  • Pearl's Perap, Frillish: 300 HP [Fully recovered]
  • ChrisClark13, Buizel: 105 HP [Atk -1]
  • Prof.Enigma, Arcanine: 95 HP [Atk -1]
  • Sneaze, Pidove: 300 HP [Fully recovered]

Breaking the remaining shields, the raiders continue to deluge the boss, lowering its health further. A Max Wyrmwind strikes Buizel, lowering the attack of the raiders still standing, followed by another Shadow Claw, which crits upon Starmie, drastically lowering the health of the Psychic type. Finally, another Focus Punch is fired off, finding its target to once again be Arcanine. The dog is lucky this time, as no critical strike takes place, leaving the dog on low health instead of taking him out outright. The rain then ceases as the round ends.

Dynamax Initiative: Expired.
  • Trainers may only list 1 order per round. They are also permitted to using 1 item in lieu of an attack.
  • Dynamax Initiative will select a trainer at random. If a trainer has initiative, they may choose to Dynamax their Pokemon for a duration of 3 turns. Dynamaxed Pokemon may only select a Max Attack of a corresponding type from their registered moveset, or Max Guard in place of status moves.
  • When issuing an attack, please state the attack's unbuffed Base Power (BP).
  • If a hold item or ability’s effect is activated in the present round as a result of the previous round’s damage calculation or the present round’s orders, please state it clearly in your response.
  • Roleplaying your orders is optional, but $250 may be collected for responses of 250 words or greater, and Bond will accumulate only for the trainer’s active Pokemon in battle.
  • You have until Tuesday, 29th of December to place your order.

The Rain may be gone, but there are ways to keep you seeing the dancing lights. A spot of Psychic (90 BP) flashing oughta be befuddling~!

With raucous cheering from Zak and the trainer of the other fallen raider serving to annihilate the Monferno’s crystalline defences, the fighting fit members of the party continued to douse the monkey’s flames, ebbing away at its life force incrementally with each successive move. Much like earlier rounds, though, the Fire and Fighting type was not planning to take these hits lightly and prepared its own triple assault for the party of Pokémon before it.

Summoning a storm of draconic energies, the Monferno starts its attacks by delivering a biting Max Wyrmwind to the formerly Dynamaxed Buizel which saw the attack stats of the other battling Pokémon dropping as well. Next up came another Shadow Claw attack, this time hitting Starmie for critical damage and leaving it severely weakened. Finally, the monkey turns its attention to the Arcanine once more, smacking the hound with a Focus Punch that leaves it in a similar precarious state but luckily still hanging on.

As the round comes to an end, the rains brought about in the earlier portion of the battle subside and the Water-type raiders swiftly lose the hydrating benefits of the storm. With this in mind, Zak decided to change course in the next round and make use of one of the Frillish’s moves of a different typing to try and bring down their Dynamaxed foe.

“Alright Blu, good to see you’re back and fighting fit - I want you to follow Starmie’s lead and hit that great gibbon with a Psychic (90BP) attack, too!”

Dynamax Boss Monferno
★★★

Health Gauge: 0%
Shields Up: 0
Status: KO
Weather: None

The boss, still swinging from the reactor, looks more than primed to take down the raiders should this go on any longer. Luckily, Monferno isn't too great itself. A barrage of supereffective attacks strike the boss, slamming the monkey hard enough to cause it to fall to the ground thanks to a duo of Psychic attacks. Slowly, the boss climbs to its feet, still not quite down for the count and ready to counter attack. But the raiders haven't finished just yet, as electricity surrounds Arcanine, the dog charging into the Monferno with mighty force, pushing the boss back as an explosion of Dynamax energy erupts, the monkey shrinking down to a much more normal size before climbing up the ruined reactor and disappearing into the depths of the power plant.

Once more, the Leader presents rewards to the raiders for defeating the boss, handing out each satchel with a smile.

For their role in defeating Dynamax Boss Monferno, the raiders are rewarded with the following:

  • 20 Watts
  • x1 TR Bulk Up
  • x2 Occa Berries
  • x1 Chople Berry
  • +3 Levels to participating Pokemon (+6 if below level 30)

Hah! The celebration of dancing rain proved to be too much for their once-fiery will this time! ...And possibly some of the machinery. This hardly seems like an appropriate place for anything dealing with water of this volume.

*Miapladicus was elevated from Lv. 31 to Lv. 34!*

*Obtained 20 Watts!*
*Obtained TR Bulk Up x1!*
*Obtained Occa Berry x2!*
*Obtained Chople Berry x1!*

As the final round began, the Starmie and Frillish teamed up to hit hard at what remained of the Dynamaxed Monferno’s hitpoints with their Psychic prowess. Though their powers were strong and the monkey came crashing down from its perch on the generator with relative ease on their part, it remarkably gathered itself up and prepared to retaliate against its unified foes. This would prove to be futile though as, enraged by the fall, the Monferno did not see the Arcanine hurtling directly for it and its last leg.

Luckily, the canine’s final stand hit exactly where it needed to and the crimson Dynamax energy poured fast from the Monferno with the monkey shrinking to its ordinary size before the party in mere seconds. Not wanting to stick around and have to explain itself, the fire monkey swung quickly from the now-damaged generator and disappeared deep into the factorial maze it inhabited once more.

With another victory under not only his belt but those of his fellow raiders as well, the man bid his fellow trainers adieu as he motioned for the Frillish to follow him. Blu stayed put, though; in all the excitement, his partner had forgotten to take one of the all-important prize parcels before heading for the complex’s gates. With his tentacles now unoccupied, the jellyfish floated over to the leader of the raid and bowed graciously before snaffling their hard-earned booty and joining his trainer once more.

“It’s a good job one of us has our head screwed on, Blu - where to next, ol’ chap?” As he asked the question, the man offered an arm for the Frillish to link, “How about another raid, perhaps?”

- Blu the Frillish levels up from Lv24 to Lv30
- Collecting 20 Watts, TR Bulk Up, two Occa Berries and a Chople Berry

Cheers for the great raid, Sniz ^^
