Splintered branches litter the normally unremarkable clearing, the devastation visibly apparent to all gathered. Cradily look down on the Raiders with a nonchalant disdain, continuing to swing enlarged tentacles at the surrounding treetops. As their champions are called, the Raiders find themselves worthy of a little more attention, the dimly unnerving glow of Cradily's eyes falling upon them. For better or for worse, they were here for the long haul - and no doubt the ancient behemoth would not go down easily.

Durant leads the lines, the frenetic ant rushing towards Cradily with a determined stride. Metallic jaws bathed in dull beige energy, she delivers a swift, dramatic slash to the carapace of Cradily, the Raid Boss wailing in response. Namielle follows suit, her thick set tail hardening with a steely sheen as she whips the appendage round, the resulting crack satisfying as it shears through the air. Fontaine and Gengar finish the assault off, with the Metagross grunting assuredly as his attack is boosted. Seething now, Cradily's body glows with an otherworldly light, a searing beam exploding forth to consume the body of Durant. Staggered, the Bug type rips chunks from her Sitrus Berry, restoring her health - only for a violent Earthquake to rip through the Raiders, leaving the insect beaten and bruised.

After a brief intermission in which Namielle patches up her ailing allies, the onslaught rumbles on, Gengar opening his mouth wide to hack forth a concentrated barrage of sludge. As the putrid salvo splashes over the hide of Cradily, the behemoth shudders, a sure indicator that toxins had managed to seep into her blood. Buoyed by this, Fontaine rumbles forwards, brutal claw surging with cosmic power. A thunderous blow lands, prompting shimmering shields to flicker into life in front of Cradily - the first of wich is swiftly dispathced by the erratic Durant. Grumbling, Cradily opts for a tried and tested measure, summoning a catastrophic beam to buffet the body of Gengar. Unfortunatley for Fontaine, he is once again targeted, this time by a more tailored Max Quake, the Metagross finding himself grateful for the earlier healing.

Namielle once again dons her nurses cap, enveloping her allies in a faint shimmer of pale green light. Their wounds staved off, the Raiders decide to try mitigate their losses. Gengar cackles as she gushes forth a thick haze, the blackened mist robbing Cradily of her empowerments - though this has the unfortunate side effect of terminating Fontaine's too. With this in mind, the mechanical crab slams a heavy set claw against the shields of Cradily, reinstating his Attack boost and watching with subued amusement as Durant continues her frenzied slashing. Misfortune soon befalls her. A surging Max Rockfall crashes over her carapace, before jagged rocks explode from below, ending her resistance for now.

A plan in mind, the Raiders convalesce, the final barrier standing before Cradily shattered to pieces by the intense cheering og their fallen comrade. With the bulwark breached, Namielle leads the charge, roaring into action as her gelatinous tail stiffens. With a determined swing, the thickened appendage clangs metallically against Cradily, soliciting dull booming pain - but this is soon silenced by shock. Fontaine grows in size to rival his quarry, harrumphing as he unleashes a jagged Max Steelspike. Backed into a corner, Cradily once again summons shields before herself, much to the chagrin of Gengar, whose thrusting punch bounces ineffectually off. Transitioning into revenge, Cradily smashes yet another Meteor Beam into Namielle, before rounding on Gengar, crushing her under a sheer cliff face.
