Re: PASBL UPN: Tyranidos vs. Sciz

Pallav: Male Grovyle (Level 3)
Pallav was found by my parents in a tree, sleeping. They caught him and gave him to me for my squad. He gets lazy sometimes.
Special Technique: Leaf Trick (Grass)
What Pallav does for this move is grab any green, healthy leaf nearby, twirl it around his hands, and throws it at the opponent. But it doesn't hit the opponent, the leaf flashes bright light and moves in a circle around the opponent very quickly, resulting in a 15% chance of severe confusion. This move requires 1.5x more energy than a Confuse Ray and can be used 3 times per battle.

Kakisentou: Male Monferno (Level 3)
All thanks to Muyo and ABL for the new D/P Poke and free slot. As they brought back the D/P Pokemon, this Chimchar caught my eye. Mostly because I like fire and monkeys. Anyway, since I could have both in one Pokemon, why not get him? He is also very powerful and has some of his own tricks/defects.
Special Training: Steam
Kakisentou has powerful fire attacks, but the fire that is very powerful is the one on his tail. This can flare up and cover him, causing all water attacks to turn into steam. He can only do this when ordered so. This takes up as much energy as a Fire Blast. Can only be used 3 times per battle.

Kerr: Male Trapinch (Level 3)
When me a Tyrant were walking along, we saw a bunch of holes in the ground. I told Tyrant to go in these holes and find out what made them. Apparently, it was a Trapinch, which I caught later. He is unique in his own way.
Special Resistance: Grounded
Kerr is smarter than the average Trapinch, with grass attacks that is. He is resistant to Grass Type attacks by 15%. With things like Vine Whip and Razor Leaf, he bites on a leaf and gets hit by the others, but still helps in the long run. The only one he doesn't resist is Solar Beam.

Sumati: Female Gardevoir (Level 3)
Sumati is very upset that Dark Type Pokemon are stronger than her. She especially does not like the idea that Psychic Type moves don't effect Dark Types at all. After I caught her in a wild encounter, she has been doing special training by herself when I train my other Pokemon. She has learned a new move, but has forgotten how to use a few more. Luckily, these moves don't mean very much to her.
Special Training: Dark Sacrfice
Sumati knows how to use Miracle Eye, but cannot use Snatch or Thief.

Silver: Female Mawile (Level 3)
No Signature Move

Mario: Male Shuppet (Level 3)
No Signature Move

I'm assuming it's Equilevel 3.

Wanna post up the arena?

Shadow: Male Scizor (Level 3)
No sig

Walker: Male Houndoom (Level 3)
No sig

Colonel Hobbes: Male Persian (Level 3)
Originally a promising young Persian, Hobbes had delusions of grandeur about war, and volunteered for service in a particularly controversial conlict. Little did he know just what was done with 'mon like him: Scout Corps. This meant doing the dirty work, operating deep in enemy territory and being one small mistake away from getting caught and killed. This was far from the visions of glory Hobbes had in mind, but he pressed on, passing his training with flying colors and being given command of a squad.
Having risen through the ranks, Hobbes had become a popular leader among the rank-and-file troops. A pivotal moment for Hobbes was when the enemy had gotten word of their base of operations and launched a massive raid. Receiving no support or reinforcements, many were cut down, including the CO of the Scout Corps. After escaping the attack, Hobbes rallied the survivors and was promoted to Colonel, and was now in command. Hating the army that he had shed so much blood for every step of the way, he led his troops away from the front, settling in the deep forest where no one could find him.
Hobbes has become a hardened and brutal killer, on the inside and out. His fur is now permanently ingrained with a black and green “tiger stripe” camouflage print. His tail was bobbed after getting caught in a trap, and a stump is all that remains. He is covered in scars due to the rugged terrain, crude medical techniques, and countless attempts by his enemies to end his life. He also personally removed his head-jewel, it being inappropriate for combat operations. He keeps it in his desk at his compound, where he stalks the jungle whispering “The horror...the horror...”
Special Training: Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat (Dark)
Being in the wilderness for such an extended period of time has wrought changes in Colonel Hobbes. He is a mentally unstable killer, having to perform gruesome assassinations, being abandoned by his homeland and being forced to rely on himself to survive. He has an unnatural ability for causing pain, and thus has a higher critical hit chance (an additional 10%) when he uses Slash. He also has extremely acute senses; being able to track an opponent's real location if they are hiding, using Double Team, or any other move or ability that obscures their location. Being crazy has its disadvantages though. There is a 10% chance every turn that Colonel Hobbes will mentally snap and ignore orders. Instead, he pounces on the opponent and attempts to savagely maim them in a frenzy of claws and teeth. This quasi “Rage” lasts one round, and the opponent will receive damage akin to Rage. While in this frenzied state, Hobbes uses energy equal to 1.5 times Rage, as he must reign himself back in at the end of the round. In addition, Hobbes may not use Iron Tail, Attract, or Charm, and is immune to Attract and Charm.

Ace: Male Arcanine (Level 3)
No sig

Bequin: Female Golduck (Level 4)
No sig

Max: Male Umbreon (Level 3)
No sig

Walker, let's rumble.

Round 1: Crap Reffing

As the battle in the... SKYSCRAPER ROOF arena begins. (See custom arenas first page) The Texas Ranger anticipates an attack from the Trapinch and makes 3 extra images of itself, using mild energy. They form a ring around him. Trapinch still lets out a Secret Power, but the ailment laced beam hits the wrong one. Shortly after, the three remaining Houndours howl at the moon rising in the late afternoon, boosting thier attack.

No one lost health, and virtually no energy was lost, but Houndour used more.

Round 2: Digging Through Steel?

The dark dog charges in, and spin as it may, there is no sand to create a sandstorm on the top of the tall building. Houndour slams into Larvitar, giving itself away from the impact, taking out the image opposite the real Houndour. Trapinch slides along the roof a ways, keeping on its feet. It is a yard from the glass opening. (If you have no clue what I'm talking about, go to the Custom Arenas at SPPf or I'll post the description)

The Trapinch frantically digs to try avoid and attack, but can't penetrate the steel roof. He's just lucky he didn't pull that stunt over the glass. Houndour now has dark energy around his mouth like the foam of a rabid dog. He lunges at Trapinch and clamps down into the disproportionally small body, it may not do much to Trapinch's body, but the darkness seeps in for good damage.

Trapinch took a large chunch of damage, but it has a large bit left before if faints. It used quite a bit of energy attempting two failed attacks.

Houndour is still perfect for health, but it has used a noticable amount of energy more than Trapinch.

Round 3: Fire?

From nearly the center of the roof, almost over the glass shaft running down the center of the building to a 10 ft atrium pool at the bottom, Trapinch lets lose a ailment-laced beam, which Houndour tries but fails to dodge. (For future reference, dodge only works 30% of the time) The good news is that Houndour didn't get any ailments.

Then, Trapinch then comes in, determined to slash at Houndour. But, seeing the Ant Trapper come at him, lets lose a stick-figure of fire, powerful enough knock Trapinch from its mission. A stray flame or two pass through and weakens the glass behind Trapinch.

Trapinch took a major hit, but it didn't go through much energy. Houndour took a hit, finally, but its small. The gap of energy is getting bigger. But hey, at this rate, Trapinch will go do before Houndour. But its early and still up in the air.

Re: PASBL UPN: Tyranidos vs. Sciz

I was on vacation! D=<

Trapinch jumps around and creates two clones before Houndour bites... *RNG's*... through the clone, now there is a real and an image confronting Houndour on the roof. He managed to save some of the energy that would have been put in Trapinch, but even more was lost. Houndour has no choice but to make a split second decision and fires a long string of fire into... *RNG*... Trapinch! This does good damage, but no different than a usual flamethrower.

With flamethrower done, Trapinch starts to Giga Drain. But it took no thought to types and gets virtually no extra energy (though breaking even), and a bit of health. Not even enough to make up for the Flamethrower.

Considering the bit from Giga Drain, Houndour used a bit of energy, more than Traipinch. He used about a fourth of Houndour's energy usage when you consider the bit he gained back. Houndour's Health is a bit lower than before, but Trapinch lost a bit more than Houndour this round.

Take the Faint Attack. If he wants to try to blow you away, that's his idiot mistake. Maul the fuck out of him with two Crunches. Shake him around and break something.

Round 5: Shaken, but Stirred, Too

Pardon the spelling, this computer doesn't have spell check.

The round starts and Trapinch, thinking he's the new Naruto, uses energy to catch Houndoom 'off-guard.' He then dashes behind Houndoom and delivers light dark damage (oxymoron, ftw), made even more light by the fact Houndour is dark. Then Trapinch fails its head around trying to create a wind. It just doesn't work well.

So then, Houndoom goes for the attack. He grabs Trapinch by the neck and swings the crap out of it for critical damage and hurting Trapinch's neck. Houndoom repeats the shaking and dark energy and Trapinch is out. He probably won't need a stay in the PokeCenter because this is slapstick.

Houndoom took a little damage, but its minimal. Energy usage was quite high, Houndoom is at about half-way.

Round 6: Falcon PWNCH!

The flaming monkey starts by possitioning Monferno between itself and the edge using quite a bit of energy to create an image of a fist and knocking it into Houndoom for mild damage. The time between attacks gives Houndoom a chance to use Curse, boosting its attack and defense, at the cost of speed. So as Monferno comes in for the attack with Fury Swipes, Houndoom uses a ton of energy to slam into his opponent, knocking him back and onto the glass. It can hold the weight, but not much more.

Houndoom used a massive amount of energy for the massively powerful attack. But he is slowed and next round is a one mover because recharge time. He is getting very tired.

Monferno, used a moderate amount of energy, but it got sufficently pwned this round, getting a Hyper Beam and a third of damage.
