Sunflora UPN PASBL: Eliteknight (GT) vs Dirkac

Eliteknight (GT) V Dirkac (C)
4v4
Singles
Slapstick
Switch =OK
Equiall 4
48HR DQ
Arena = Forest of Rage.
Trainers wishing to face off against Sneaze the grass gym leader must first cross the lake of rage into the great forest behind it. The gateway to the wildwood is found within the forest of rage. The forest of rage clearing is sizable, providing more than enough room for even the largest of Pokemon to perform complicated maneuvers. Within the forest of rage harsh sunlight is constantly beating down providing all the benefits and drawbacks of sunny day however due to all battle taking place in the early morning the strengthening of Fire type attacks and the weakening of Water, Ice and Electric moves is not in effect. Due to the recent flooding of the lake of rage there is a sizeable pond to be found within the clearing, the water being deep enough to accommodate most Pokemon and fuel moves such as Surf comfortably. The trees over head while allowing the sunlight through block filers from reaching a height over 5 meters in the air. The trees give off a very pungent scent which makes bug pokemon feel uncomfortable. Throughout the arena there are plenty of rocks to fuel rock based moves such as stealth rock and rock slide.

Quote:
Charcoal (3 SP) - This Token increases the power of Fire type moves by 10%. It causes the move Fling to deal Fire type damage if it is thrown.
Level 5:
Savage: Male Dark Venusaur
Species Characteristics: Venusaur (Grass/Poison): Venusaur are the fastest of their line but are not particularly agile. They have eight vines, which means they can hit and grab multiple things at once and that attacks made using their vines are slightly more powerful. As starter Pokémon, their Grass-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/3 health. In its Mega Forme it gains a thick layer of cellulose in their skin similar to Hariyama's fat. Due to this it takes 30% less damage from Ice and Fire type attacks.
[Grass]: Grass-type Pokémon live anywhere that can support vegetation and are adept at concealing themselves in such places. They enjoy both bright sun and rain and fight more enthusiastically in the day time, though they are not put off by fighting at night. Rainstorms will heal them slightly every round the rain falls, while very bright sunlight will regenerate their energy instead. Their healing moves cost slightly less energy and their draining moves will heal them by a greater amount while suffering only half of the usual diminishing returns. They are immune to spore based techniques like Sleep Powder and are more adept at using such attacks themselves, creating denser concentrations of spores which are harder to disperse and more potent in their effects. Any attack used by Grass-types manipulating the environment is slightly more potent, and their Grass-type attacks which utilise plant foliage (such as Razor Leaf) are more efficient in natural environments.
[Poison]: Poison-type Pokémon are immune to poisoning. Their Poison-type attacks are slightly more likely to succeed in poisoning their targets than those used by other Pokémon and the effects will be slightly more potent. They also have an additional 10% chance to poison the target when using physical attacks with their most venomous appendages e.g. a Seviper’s tail, a Nidoking’s horn.
Biography: Savage is one of the first pokemon I even encountered. He has always had a massive love for the sun whilst hating the rain. He fights much more enthusiastically in the sun. He however uses more energy in the sun than he does outside of it.
Special Training: Solar Power [Grass]
When Savage fights under sunny conditions he gains a boost akin to work up. While he has this boost he loses an additional light energy at the end of each round. However when he fights in rainy conditions Savage finds himself suffering from inverted effects of work up. He no longer will gain any benefits from his grass SC in rain. He also has forgotten how to use energy ball and sleep powder.

Hidden Power: Fire

Level 4:
Ilyn Payne: Male Cacturn
Species Characteristics: Cacturne (Grass/Fire): Cacturne are covered in spikes. Therefore, those who attack them with physical attacks will take roughly 25% recoil damage (unless they are particularly hard bodied) and their Needle Arm attack is more effective than normal. Being native to the desert where Sandstorms are frequent, Cacturne are immune to the effects of the attack and can see through them easily. They fight more enthusiastically in sandy or dusty areas. They are capable of standing very still, making them difficult to detect if the opponent does not have good night vision. Their Ingrain attack heals more health than usual, their draining attacks are more effective than normal and they gain greater benefit from both sun and rain than other Grass-types.
[Fire]: Fire-types fight most enthusiastically in hot and dry conditions. They are extremely difficult to burn and most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time. Fire-type Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short. Their Fire type moves will be hotter than normal, allowing them to inflict more potent burns with a greater frequency, and their Fire type moves will naturally have a somewhat wider spread without a loss in power.
Biography: Ser Ilyn Payne is the executioner for the Kings of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. He is known for being incredibly silent mainly due to having his tongue cut out by the Mad King Aerys. However due to his loyalty to the crown Ilyn continued to serve. However during the battle of the Blackwater he stayed back to eliminate the Queen should the city be taken. Missing out on the action disappointing him. Following the battle Ilyn started to become obsessed with the wildfire that he went down to the pyromancers guild. However he fell one day while holding a jar of wildfire. Ilyn became engulfed in flames the fire enveloped his body as he evolved the flames merged with his system making him even more fearsome for his enemies to face.
Item: Charcoal
Signature: The King’s Justice [Grass/Fire]
Ser Ilyn Payne is now a Grass/Fire type, with all associated weaknesses and resistances. He retains familiarity with the Dark type as a Cacturn. He gains access to Wil O Wisp, heat wave and Flamethrower. Ilyn never learned Payback, spiky shield, rest, sleep talk, snore, block, belch, giga impact, revenge, disable or seed bomb.

Hidden Power: Ice

-----

Blood Raven: Male Large Gourgeist
Species Characteristics: Gourgeist (Grass/Ghost): Gourgeist come in four sizes, Small, Average, Large and Super. The Small size has somewhat less HP than average but is much faster than the larger sizes, where the Super size has a good deal more HP than average, but is very slow. Gourgeist have the ability to create searchlights from their eyes. While not as powerful as a Flash attack, they light up the arena without blinding opponents or allies, and doing so takes almost no energy to maintain. It is considered one move for a them to light searchlights. They are solid by default, but can become ethereal for a short time to evade attacks. As jack-o-lantern Pokémon, they are familiar with Fire-typed moves.
[Ghost]: Ghost-type Pokémon fight more enthusiastically at night, though are not put off by fighting in the day, and can see in the dark. Ghosts are resistant to curses and curses imposed on them will last for a shorter time and be less potent. Their fear inducing attacks are more effective than those used by other Pokémon. Ghost types can be poisoned, unless stated otherwise. Ghost-types are not fully immune to Normal, Fighting or typeless attacks as in the games, taking neutral damage, but some may change their state in order to reduce damage from physical moves (see Ghost Pokémon information for details).
Biography: Varys is the master of whisperers for the small council of kings landing. He has numerous poisons at his disposal. He intends on defeating his enemies to pave way for the realm to have peace again.
Signature: Totally Not Zap Cannon [Rock]
Varys gathers a signifigant amount of rock energy before sending it upon his foe in an orb of energy. The orb flies quite quickly at the foe. Upon contact with the foe the orb explodes dealing Solid damage and heavily paralysing the foe. Varys no longer benefits from the grass types boosts in rain. He also forgot how to use Destiny Bond, fire blast, bullet seed, trick room, flame charge. Varys has enough energy to use this attack twice per battle

Hidden Power: Fairy

-----

Duff McKagen: Male Cradily
Species Characteristics: Cradily (Rock/Grass): Cradily can stick to the ground to absorb nutrients. Lifting or trying to move this Pokémon will count as it having double weight. Cradily's Ingrain is more effective than normal. While they are capable of movement when not rooted down, they are quite slow, as they must hop around to get around. As a sea lily, their natural habitat is the ocean, allowing them to stay underwater indefinitely. They also take slightly less damage from Water-type attacks. They are capable of seeing in the dark. Being fossils, their Ancient Power attack will boost slightly more often.
[Rock]: Rock-type Pokémon generally have hard bodies, which makes them resistant to physical hits and projectiles. They are also resistant to XX attacks. This defensive ability extends to their moves, making defensive attacks like Protect and Harden cost less energy. They are difficult to burn or poison and prefer hot environments to cold ones. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible. They are adept at controlling rocks and will use less energy than other Pokémon when using Rock Tomb, Stealth Rock etc. to manipulate the arena.
Biography: Duff is the bassist of Guns N Roses, dubbed the most dangerous band in the world, their substance abuse resulted in the band members leaving the band as well as them not showing up for shows.
Signature: Civil War [Vairious]
Duff has learned how to use Wil-O-Wisp Toxic Spikes, and Hex. However he has forgotten how to use substitute, rock slide, wring out, rest, Solar beam, round, sludge bomb and recover. His ancient power no longer boosts more often than normal. He has enough fire energy for 3 uses of Wil-O-Wisp.

Hidden Power: Flying

-----

Izzy Stradlin: Male Torterra
Species Characteristics: Torterra (Grass/Rock): Due to the tree growing out of them, Torterra are impossible to knock completely on their back. They are also able to blend into their surroundings on certain terrain, making them difficult to spot in forest areas. They are slow and ungainly. They are experts at manipulating natural surroundings and attacks like Earthquake and Frenzy Plant will take a little less energy to use. Attacks on their shell do slightly less damage. As starter Pokémon, their Grass-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/3 health.
Any attack used by Grass-types manipulating the environment is slightly more potent, and their Grass-type attacks which utilise plant foliage (such as Razor Leaf) are more efficient in natural environments.
Biography: Izzy is the rhythm Guitarist of Guns N Roses responsible for many of their greatest hits. His skills supplemented Slash’s guitar immensely. As a Pokémon he is plagued by massive weaknesses which limit his ability to gain the upper hand early on. As such he has evolved a more rock solid shell.
Signature: One in a Million [grass/Rock]
Izzy is now a Grass/Rock Type with all associated weaknesses and resistances while no longer resisting XX moves and takes super effective damage from flying and dragon moves. He has learned Ancient Power and Head Smash. He also retains familliariity with the ground type. He has forgotten how to use Rock slide, Amnesia, Iron head, Razor Leaf, Energy Ball, Outrage, sand tomb, and bulldoze.
Hidden Power: Fire

-----

Bootstrap Bill Turner: Dhelmise
Species Characteristics: Dhelmise (Ghost/Grass): Dhelmise are actually possessed seaweed, but their intrinsic connection to the anchor they hold means they will still suffer damage normally should the anchor be stricken. They are familiar with the Steel type, and all their Steel type moves will deal slightly more damage. Dhelmise are almost entirely solid, but can go ethereal for short periods of time. They cannot be poisoned.
Bringing the Firebreather's Token

Raoul, Male Level 5 Vikavolt (Uppy)

Lavana, Female Level 4 Camerupt

Saturn, Male Level 4 Toxicroak

Cobalt, Genderless Level 4 Minior

Will, Male Level 4 Crabominable

Shimmer, Female Level 4 [email protected]'s Token
HP: Rock
Special Training: Soul Siphon
Whenever Shimmer is out on the field, all other Pokémon that aren't Shimmer itself will lose a minimum of Minor Energy at the end of the Round automatically, ally and enemy alike. The closer a Pokémon is to Shimmer, the more Energy they will lose per Round. If a Pokémon would be literally right next to Shimmer at the end of a Round, they would lose Decent Energy, the maximum. Any further than 15 Meters away from Shimmer, and the Pokémon would lose Minor Energy, the minimum. How much Energy is lost in between is generally up to Ref's Discretion. Shimmer will not lose or gain any Energy at the end of the Round as an effect of Soul Siphon. A maximum of 1 HB of Energy can be lost per Pokémon.

Raoul, lets go

Round 1: Paying Attention

Dirkac arrives in EK's sun based Grass GT Arena, still somewhat wet from his trials in Chiko's rain based Grass GT Arena. The sun will soon dry him out but that is the least of his concerns as EK appears on the other side of the arena, dressed for combat. EK nods to his Referee for the day's match, the steel clad adjudicator sits on the back of his Venusaur waiting patiently for the match to start. Time seems to drag on when the referee finally realizes that the match is waiting on him. Gesturing to Dirkac, the challenger unclips a Pokeball from his belt and tosses out in front of himself. A buzzing is heard first then a large bug zips through the arena, electricity crackling across its two large mandibles. Raoul the Vikavolt comes to a hovering stop in front of his trainer and waits for his opponent to appear. EK doesn't leave them waiting for long as he tosses a Pokeball out into the arena, Duff the Cradily crashes onto the ground, ready for action.

EK decides to set up for the long term, quite a smart decision after a quick look at his opponent's squad. Duff rips rocks from the earth and sends them stabbing into Raoul, the Vikavolt shrugs off the light super effective blow but I doubt it is the last time he will face the move. The rocks stealthily sink back into the earth, prepared to strike again when the time comes. Raoul then begins to buzz even loader, his wings beat faster as he sends a sound wave of bug energy washing over Cradily. The attack causes the fossil great pain, but it's nothing he can't handle.

Duff quickly forms up razor sharp rocks and pelts the Alolan insect with the nasty barrage. Raoul screeches in pain, that attack much stronger than the previous, its time to get out of here. A quick blast off electricity slams into Duff before the Vikavolt switches back into his Pokeball. A large furry white crab lands in his place. It shakes its fist like claws menacingly at Duff, Will the Crabominable is ready to brawl. Suddenly the stealth rocks erupt from the ground and strike him, quickly retreating once more.

Duff has a slight lead over Raoul as both move through the first third, Will took a slight hit upon entry. Everyone is still fresh with Raoul recovering energy in his Pokeball.

Dirkac to order

Round 2: Stay in the shade

With the match up now firmly in Dirkac's favour, he moves it force his lead. Will scuttles along the ground, power brewing in his fist before he slams a solid blow into the fossil mon. Duff doesn't react too much even as he sees his opponents attack stat increase. Instead he hops back a step and sends rock energy into the earth. Rocks erupt from the ground around Will and encapsulate him, preventing him from moving but at least shading him so he wont get sunburn, how thoughtful!

With Will unable to get a clear shot, he decides to conserve his energy. Duff makes use of the time though, he scatters strange spikes around his opponent's side of the field that begin to emit a strange poisonous mist. The rocks around Will lessen the penetration of the gas for now though, preventing him from becoming completely poisoned before the round ends.

Will took no damage but has a slight increase in attack while being trapped in the rock tomb. Duff took a nice super effective hit, nearing the end of the first third. Toxic spikes are in place with Will likely to be poisoned early next round. Will is still fresh while Duff is fine for two. Duff's poison is just over half.

EK to order

Round 3: The Silent Executioner

With his opponent trapped, EK recalls Duff and sends in Ilyn Payne to fight the fluffy crab. The fiery scarecrow basks in the sunlight, eager to bring pain to his opponent. Will quickly smashes the rocks that encase him, freeing himself from the Cradily's trap. Little does he know that the crafty Cacturne crafted a substitute while he was doing so.

Now looking to go on the offensive, Ilyn exhales a widespread wave of scalding heat. Will reacts quickly, pulling up a wide barrier that absorbs the attack, leaving him unscathed, although the poison that is now in his system has begun to take its toll.

Only poison damage to Will, while Ilyn sacrificed some health for a sub. Both are still relatively fresh, Will is now poisoned.

Round 4: Sucker

Once again Dirkac recalls his Pokemon, a red light envelops Will and draws him back into his ball. The trainer than tosses another Pokeball into the air, a strange looking rock bursts out, Cobalt the Minior.

Having given his opponent ample time to prepare, the Minior glistens with energy as it spins in towards the Cacturne. As it approaches it notices a dark shroud gathering around the scarecrow's left arm, his attention suddenly becoming fixated. The Minior slows its approach and as it comes into range Ilyn strikes, switching the energy over to his right arm before lashing out violently. Some of the momentum carries through and Cobalt lands a weakened blow, however it doesn't seem to phase the Cacturne at all.

His opponent's sub still standing, Cobalt is forced to repeat his previous attack. He pauses to think for a moment which allows Ilyn to sneak in his own attack, lashing out again but this time with dynamic force. A blast erupts as the Cacturne lands his blow, sending Cobalt spinning backwards. It doesn't seem to leave the Minior with any disorientation however and it soons comes spinning back in. A swift acrobatic strike results in an eruption of stuffing as Ilyn's sub is destroyed, revealing the real Cacturne a few metres away.

Ilyn has a lead on Cobalt as the Minior takes a couple of blows. Ilyn still has plenty of dark energy while he has used half his fighting offtype. Ilyn can continue for now, Cobalt is still fresh.

Round 5: Crack that nut already

Switching for an advantage once more, EK recalls Ilyn and sends Duff back out to face the Minior. The Minior has had time to prepare but simply waits, spinning in the air. Duff gives little thought to it and sends some sharp stones streaking through the sky. However Cobalt quickly pulls up a protective shield, the stones disintegrate as they crash harmlessly into it, shame.

Intent on inflicting the strange flying rock with pain, Duff repeats his previous action, sending another storm of stones at Cobalt. They pepper the Minior's rocky hide, ironically the attack is super effective, much to its dismay. Cobalt's rocky outer coating protects him though, lessening the damage by a fair amount. Spinning, Cobalt carries out some acrobatic maneuvers as he strikes Duff repeatedly, the fossils on rocky coating helping lessen the blow.

Both Pokemon find themselves just inside the second third, Duff slightly moreso. No offtype used and both Pokemon are good for two.

Round 6: The Nut Is Cracked

Cobalt pushes forward, moving with as much speed as it can muster in its current form as it bombards the Cradily with acrobatic strikes. Duff pushes the Minior back with a storm of sharp stones. As the last stone strikes the solid outer core of the Minior it cracks, splintering off to reveal a neon inner core.

Unhappy with the current situation, Cobalt surrounds himself in bug energy and hurdles in towards the Cradily with increased speed and strength. The strike stings Duff with a super effective blow before the Minior completes a U-turn into its pokeball, leaving Will the yeti crab in his place. The stones rise from the arena to strike him once more as Duff gathers a hidden power, greeting the crab with a super effective strike. Will's poisoning continues to hinder him, causing him to take some more damage as the round closes.

Cobalt and Duff drop below the midpoint Duff holding a slight lead while Will nears his second third. Cobalt is now broken. Duff out of flying energy, Cobalt can fuel another U-turn. Will fresh, Duff good for two.
