The Forest Of Rage:
Trainers wishing to face off against Sneaze the grass gym leader must first cross the lake of rage into the great forest behind it. The gateway to the wildwood is found within the forest of rage. The forest of rage clearing is sizable, providing more than enough room for even the largest of Pokemon to perform complicated maneuvers. Within the forest of rage harsh sunlight is constantly beating down providing all the benefits and drawbacks of sunny day however due to all battle taking place in the early morning the strengthening of Fire type attacks and the weakening of Water, Ice and Electric moves is not in effect. Due to the recent flooding of the lake of rage there is a sizeable pond to be found within the clearing, the water being deep enough to accommodate most Pokemon and fuel moves such as Surf comfortably. The trees over head while allowing the sunlight through block filers from reaching a height over 5 meters in the air. The trees give off a very pungent scent which makes bug pokemon feel uncomfortable. Throughout the arena there are plenty of rocks to fuel rock based moves such as stealth rock and rock slide.

And so we see another Grass GT take to the field, will he rise to glory like the majority before him or will he smolder and burn? Will the challenger, the pretty boy Fairfax, back from a stint in the abyss, be able to triumph? Fairfax has previously taken on Chiko and failed, but this time he holds more experience and faces an entirely different opponent. Time will tell, now lets get this underway with a squad from EK.

The tall red haired man walks into the clearing, he observes his opponent before selecting his squad of 6 pokemon. "Rise my champions lets show Fairfax that this wont be no cakewalk"

Thank for reffing TKF GL Fairfax

Items:

Quote:
Charcoal (3 SP) - This Token increases the power of Fire type moves by 10%. It causes the move Fling to deal Fire type damage if it is thrown.
Attached to: Ilyn Payne: Male Cacturne

Level 5:

Savage: Male Dark Venusaur
Species Characteristics: Venusaur (Grass/Poison): Venusaur are the fastest of their line but are not particularly agile. They have eight vines, which means they can hit and grab multiple things at once and that attacks made using their vines are slightly more powerful. As starter Pokémon, their Grass-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/3 health. In its Mega Forme it gains a thick layer of cellulose in their skin similar to Hariyama's fat. Due to this it takes 30% less damage from Ice and Fire type attacks.
[Grass]: Grass-type Pokémon live anywhere that can support vegetation and are adept at concealing themselves in such places. They enjoy both bright sun and rain and fight more enthusiastically in the day time, though they are not put off by fighting at night. Rainstorms will heal them slightly every round the rain falls, while very bright sunlight will regenerate their energy instead. Their healing moves cost slightly less energy and their draining moves will heal them by a greater amount while suffering only half of the usual diminishing returns. They are immune to spore based techniques like Sleep Powder and are more adept at using such attacks themselves, creating denser concentrations of spores which are harder to disperse and more potent in their effects. Any attack used by Grass-types manipulating the environment is slightly more potent, and their Grass-type attacks which utilise plant foliage (such as Razor Leaf) are more efficient in natural environments.
[Poison]: Poison-type Pokémon are immune to poisoning. Their Poison-type attacks are slightly more likely to succeed in poisoning their targets than those used by other Pokémon and the effects will be slightly more potent. They also have an additional 10% chance to poison the target when using physical attacks with their most venomous appendages e.g. a Seviper’s tail, a Nidoking’s horn.
Biography: Savage is one of the first pokemon I even encountered. He has always had a massive love for the sun whilst hating the rain. He fights much more enthusiastically in the sun. He however uses more energy in the sun than he does outside of it.
Special Training: Solar Power [Grass]
When Savage fights under sunny conditions he gains a boost akin to work up. While he has this boost he loses an additional light energy at the end of each round. However when he fights in rainy conditions Savage finds himself suffering from inverted effects of work up. He no longer will gain any benefits from his grass SC in rain. He also has forgotten how to use energy ball and sleep powder.

Hidden Power: Fire

Level 4:

Ilyn Payne: Male Cacturne
Species Characteristics: Cacturne (Grass/Fire): Cacturne are covered in spikes. Therefore, those who attack them with physical attacks will take roughly 25% recoil damage (unless they are particularly hard bodied) and their Needle Arm attack is more effective than normal. Being native to the desert where Sandstorms are frequent, Cacturne are immune to the effects of the attack and can see through them easily. They fight more enthusiastically in sandy or dusty areas. They are capable of standing very still, making them difficult to detect if the opponent does not have good night vision. Their Ingrain attack heals more health than usual, their draining attacks are more effective than normal and they gain greater benefit from both sun and rain than other Grass-types.
[Fire]: Fire-types fight most enthusiastically in hot and dry conditions. They are extremely difficult to burn and most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time. Fire-type Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short. Their Fire type moves will be hotter than normal, allowing them to inflict more potent burns with a greater frequency, and their Fire type moves will naturally have a somewhat wider spread without a loss in power.
Biography: Ser Ilyn Payne is the executioner for the Kings of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. He is known for being incredibly silent mainly due to having his tongue cut out by the Mad King Aerys. However due to his loyalty to the crown Ilyn continued to serve. However during the battle of the Blackwater he stayed back to eliminate the Queen should the city be taken. Missing out on the action disappointing him. Following the battle Ilyn started to become obsessed with the wildfire that he went down to the pyromancers guild. However he fell one day while holding a jar of wildfire. Ilyn became engulfed in flames the fire enveloped his body as he evolved the flames merged with his system making him even more fearsome for his enemies to face.
Item: Charcoal
Signature: The King’s Justice [Grass/Fire]
Ser Ilyn Payne is now a Grass/Fire type, with all associated weaknesses and resistances. He retains familiarity with the Dark type as a Cacturn. He gains access to Wil O Wisp, heat wave and Flamethrower. Ilyn never learned Payback, spiky shield, rest, sleep talk, snore, block, belch, giga impact, revenge, disable or seed bomb.

Hidden Power: Ice

-----

Oberyn Martell "The Red Viper": Male Red Serperior
Species Characteristics: Serperior (Grass/Electric): Serperior are very royal and intimidating Pokémon and are difficult to discourage or scare. If their stats would normally be lowered for any reason, they experience only half the drop. Their long, sinuous bodies, while not allowing for the speed and agility of their lower forms, allow them to bind foes with ease. Their body and coloring allow them to easily hide amongst trees and grass and their Leaf Tornado attack is faster and more disorientating to its targets. Like Servine, the two vines near their neck can be used for attack or manipulation of objects. As starter Pokémon, their Grass-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/3 health.
[Electric]: Electric types are resistant to paralysis inflicted by Electric-type moves, though they may be paralysed as normal by other methods. Electric types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water. They have a high degree of control over their Electric type attacks, and as such they will suffer less from attempts to redirect them.
Biography: Prince Oberyn is a master of poisons. Having traveled the world he has become quite effective in the art of seduction and is an incredibly powerful warrior to increase his powers to the next level he has mastered the art of controlling electrical currents to the point where he can now use the electric type to his advantage.
Signature: The Viper in the Grass [Grass/Electric]
Oberyn has become a Grass/Electric Pokemon with all associated weaknesses and resistances however he is no longer resistant to steel moves. He has learned how to use Discharge, thunder wave and Shock Wave. However he can no longer use Outrage, Aerial Ace, Dragon Tail, and Grass Pledge

Hidden Power: Rock

-----

Duff McKagen: Male Cradily
Species Characteristics: Cradily (Rock/Grass): Cradily can stick to the ground to absorb nutrients. Lifting or trying to move this Pokémon will count as it having double weight. Cradily's Ingrain is more effective than normal. While they are capable of movement when not rooted down, they are quite slow, as they must hop around to get around. As a sea lily, their natural habitat is the ocean, allowing them to stay underwater indefinitely. They also take slightly less damage from Water-type attacks. They are capable of seeing in the dark. Being fossils, their Ancient Power attack will boost slightly more often.
[Rock]: Rock-type Pokémon generally have hard bodies, which makes them resistant to physical hits and projectiles. They are also resistant to XX attacks. This defensive ability extends to their moves, making defensive attacks like Protect and Harden cost less energy. They are difficult to burn or poison and prefer hot environments to cold ones. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible. They are adept at controlling rocks and will use less energy than other Pokémon when using Rock Tomb, Stealth Rock etc. to manipulate the arena.
Biography: Duff is the bassist of Guns N Roses, dubbed the most dangerous band in the world, their substance abuse resulted in the band members leaving the band as well as them not showing up for shows.
Signature: Civil War [Vairious]
Duff has learned how to use Wil-O-Wisp Toxic Spikes, Hex, and Venoshock. However he has forgotten how to use substitute, seed bomb, energy ball, rock slide, wring out, rest, Solar beam, round, sludge bomb and recover. His ancient power no longer boosts more often than normal. He has enough fire energy for 3 uses of Wil-O-Wisp.

Hidden Power: Flying

-----

Olena Tyrell: Female Roserade
Species Characteristics: Roserade (Grass/Poison): As a rose plant, Roserade emanates a soothing scent constantly that acts much the same way as Sweet Scent. Their effects are more potent in close quarters, but quickly lose strength. Inorganic Pokémon and members of the Budew line are unaffected but Pokémon with sensitive smell will be more heavily affected. Roserade's special attacks deal slightly more damage than normal for no additional energy. Their petal-based attacks are significantly more forceful, able to break through resistance with greater ease, but will deal no extra damage.
Biography: Olena is the Queen of thorns and the Matriarch of the Tyrell Family. She is well known throughout westeros as a quick witted old woman, as a result she has mastered the art of using her thorns to her advantage in combat
Signature: Thorn Barrage [rock]
Olena uses Signifigant rock energy to fire a barrage of greenish-white spikes from its bod, which rapidly converge on the target for considerable damage. This attack will occasionally leave the area hit by Thorn Barrage will become raw or weakened, allowing future physical strikes on that area to do increased damage. Olena has enough rock energy to use this attack twice per battle. She no longer will benefit in the rain due to her SC. She has lost the usage of Sunny day, rain dance, Bullet seed and growth.

Hidden Power: Rock

-----

Lord Varys: Male Large Gourgeist
Species Characteristics: Gourgeist (Grass/Ghost): Gourgeist come in four sizes, Small, Average, Large and Super. The Small size has somewhat less HP than average but is much faster than the larger sizes, where the Super size has a good deal more HP than average, but is very slow. Gourgeist have the ability to create searchlights from their eyes. While not as powerful as a Flash attack, they light up the arena without blinding opponents or allies, and doing so takes almost no energy to maintain. It is considered one move for a them to light searchlights. They are solid by default, but can become ethereal for a short time to evade attacks. As jack-o-lantern Pokémon, they are familiar with Fire-typed moves.
[Ghost]: Ghost-type Pokémon fight more enthusiastically at night, though are not put off by fighting in the day, and can see in the dark. Ghosts are resistant to curses and curses imposed on them will last for a shorter time and be less potent. Their fear inducing attacks are more effective than those used by other Pokémon. Ghost types can be poisoned, unless stated otherwise. Ghost-types are not fully immune to Normal, Fighting or typeless attacks as in the games, taking neutral damage, but some may change their state in order to reduce damage from physical moves (see Ghost Pokémon information for details).
Biography: Varys is the master of whisperers for the small council of kings landing. He has numerous poisons at his disposal. He intends on defeating his enemies to pave way for the realm to have peace again.
Signature: Totally Not Zap Cannon [Rock]

Upon contact with the foe the orb explodes dealing Solid damage and heavily paralysing the foe. Varys no longer benefits from the grass types boosts in rain. He also forgot how to use Destiny Bond, fire blast, bullet seed, trick room, flame charge. Varys has enough energy to use this attack twice per battle

Hidden Power: Fairy

"This here pretty boy's learned a thing or two on his sabbatical. Best of luck to you."

Big ups to papa TKF, again, as always.

Quote:
Ivan the Irritable the Male Crobat -- Uplevel
Hidden Power: Fighting
Bio: Ivan the Irritable, through his supernatural powers of feeding off of the energy of others, has been alive for quite a long time. He and his clan of vampire-bat Pokemon infest the cellar of an old mansion in Lavender Town, raining bloody terror down on any unfortunate soul unlucky enough to stumble upon them. In the dark of night, nothing can save you from Ivan's wrath...except maybe garlic?
Signature Training: Mark of Helsing
Ivan the Irritable's sharp fangs are adept weapons. Any biting attacks used by Ivan the Irritable have their damage increased by 10%. Energy required for biting moves is increased by 5%.

Nimrod the Male Nidorino
Hidden Power: Psychic
Bio: This feisty Nidoran hails from the Fuchsia City Safari Zone, where he had a particular hankering for being as disruptive as possible during guest tours. Puncturing the tires of jeeps, tackling visiting Trainers, escaping its designated area...you get the idea. Fed up with his antics, the Zone staff had him scheduled to be transferred to a different region. I happened to be visiting a friend in Fuschia City at the time, and offered to become his Trainer. Needless to say, with his superiority complex, he’s quite the handful. His fierce determination serves him well in the heat of battle, however, where a moment’s hesitation can mean sordid defeat.
Signature Attack: Call of the Mighty Hunter (FT)
Nimrod's pride and determination are that of a true king of the jungle. Channeling significant energy, Nimrod bellows as loud as his lungs allow. The cone of sound (shaped similarly to Round) is laced with Fighting-type energy waves, dealing significant damage and can knock over foes within a reasonable size and weight range, scaling reasonably with Nimrod's evolutionary level. Nimrod has enough Fighting energy to use The Mighty Hunter twice per battle. Nimrod loses access to Flatter, Iron Tail, and Thunder.

Wickerman the Male Beedrill
Hidden Power: Ground
Bio: Wickerman takes glee in stinging his opponents as many times as he can get away with. He's annoyed when those he stings try to take revenge against him, though. So he decided to develop a special type of sting to make that a little harder.
Signature Move: Muscle Toxin
Using solid Bug energy, Wickerman quickly and lightly stings his opponent via his abdominal stinger. The sting itself is so light that it is imperceptible and does no damage, but it releases a toxin into the opponent that momentarily weakens their muscles, reducing their offensive stats by one stage and making them somewhat sluggish for a round or so. Wickerman can use Muscle Toxin twice per battle.

Lapsang the Male Combusken
Hidden Power: --
Bio: Lapsang is named after his favorite type of tea: lapsang souchong, an intensely smoked black tea from China. The taste has been compared to that of bacon, whiskey, and actual fire. Lapsang loves his tea, as a result, he spent his training fashioning a move inspired by his beverage of choice.
Signature Attack: 立山小種 (GR)
Using considerable Grass energy, Lapsang creates a handful of leaf-shaped energy constructs infused with smoke, and shoots them at an opponent for decent damage. The leaves are boiling hot, and have a 30% chance of causing a burn at the point of contact. Lapsang has the Grass energy to use this move twice.

Agave the Male Teddiursa
Hidden Power: Electric
Bio: Agave, like any self-respecting bear, loves honey. Being a creature of generosity, Agave always wants to share his honey with others. Usually, though, his friends don't appreciate having honey thrown at them. So he started throwing honey at his enemies instead.
Signature Attack: Honey Bomb (XX)
Using considerable energy, Agave gathers typeless energy into a sphere between his paws before firing it at top speed. Upon hitting an opponent or a surface, the sphere turns into a solid ball of honey and explodes, dealing good damage. Globs of honey will spew from the exploded sphere; these globs will weigh down and otherwise hinder an opponent until it is washed off or otherwise eliminated. If the bomb hits a wall or the floor, that surface is made sticky, and will hinder the movements of any Pokemon maneuvering through it. Any honey created via this attack will fade automatically after three rounds. Agave can use Honey Bomb up to three times per battle.

Ord the Male Dragonair
Hidden Power: --
Bio: --
Signature Training: --
Wickerman, flitting in the air on the side of the pond.

Fairfax stumbles out from between the trees, beads of sweat roll down his chiseled face, an indication of the struggles of his venture. He now finds himself in an open clearing, the canopy formed by the surrounding trees still allows the harsh sunlight to filter through. A large pool rests in the middle of the clearing, Fairfax struggles with the temptation to dive in and cool down. his attention shifts however, as some bushes on the opposite side of the clearing begin to shake violently. Fairfax prepares himself to face a Pokemon, but instead a man appears. His outfit clearly identifies him as Eliteknight, a Grass GT and gatekeeper of the Wild Wood. A referee appears seemingly out of nowhere and gets the formalities out of the way, allowing for the commencement of the battle.

Fairfax selects his first Pokemon, tossing a Pokeball into the air he releases Wickerman the Beedrill into the arena. Beedrill is a well known threat to Grass GT's and this one has prior experience facing a Grass GT, let us hope it has learnt from its previous mistakes. EK remains void of emotion and with a swift movement he selects a Pokeball from his belt. He hurls it out to match his opponent, revealing the master of secret himself, Varys the Gourgeist. The penis plant floats in the air, his phallic appearance a common joke among the asb community.

EK instructs his Pokemon to start this match off, Varys is more than happy to oblige as he charges up electricity. A swift beam of electricity follows, slamming into Wickerman who remains stalwart. Varys unfortunately receives no added benefit this time, perhaps on the next try. Wickerman now seems quite furious about that last attack, the off-putting smell of the trees does little to quench his rage. He rushes at the dick-like ghost plant, jabbing his pointed stingers into the ghost. However Varys shifts ethereal, reducing the damage he would have taken by quite a bit.

Varys quickly condenses shadows into a swirling ball of ghost energy and slams it into his opponent. The Beedrill seems displeased and eager to retreat in hopes of gaining a better match up later on. Wickerman coats himself in bug energy before slamming into Varys. A quick flip and he is back in his Pokeball, while Fairfax tosses another one forward, revealing Ivan the Irritable. The Crobat lets out a low screech, this match is certainly going to be exciting.

The Varys and Wickerman are essentially tied for health moving through the first third. Both still fresh as is Ivan, Varys at 2/3 electric and Wickerman at about half flying.

Immediately strike up a constant, darting flight pattern throughout the clearing, firing off a Supersonic as you do so. If they're confused, Twister. If not, keep up the flight pattern and launch a scattershot Sludge Bomb.

Ivan darts through the air with outstanding speed, screeching a blaring a staggering supersonic sound. Varys feels the sound beginning to get to him and quickly locks the Crobat in a disabling hold, cutting off his attack before it can scramble him fully.

Although the confusion is far from strong, it is definitely still present. Ivan kicks up a swirling twister, the raging wind hurdles towards the Gourgeist. The slight hesitation in his mind caused by the weakened confusion means he is unable to shift states in time to mitigate the damage of this attack. He is forced to endure the full force of the wind, but he feels his mind clear and prepares an assault of his own. Eyes glowing purple, the penis ghost sends a surging wave of psychic energy slicing through the air. It slams into the bat, who screeches in pain as he feels the sting of a super effective strike.

Both took and equal beating as Ivan moves through the first and Varys slips into his second. Varys is at half psychic and both are good for two, Ivan slightly fresher.

As EK raises his Pokeball and prepares to recall Varys, he is unaware that he has made a crucial and possibly game changing error. As the penis plant is drawn in by the red beam, Ivan pursues him. A dark energy coats him as he slams into the beam, dealing a crap tonne of super effective damage! EK places Varys's Pokeball to his belt and selects another, quickly summoning out Duff the Cradily. The Cradily lands with a thump, unaware at the price his ally just paid for him to switch in. Duff looks to make his opponent think twice before switching again and sends stones flying at Ivan. The stones slam into the Crobat, dealing a nice super effective hit before stealthly retreating into the earth, just peeking out as they wait for a new target.

Ivan seems intent on waiting so Duff decides to lay down another batch of traps. Poisonous spikes spew from his mouth and land across Fairfax's side of the arena. A noxious gas begins to seep from the spikes and spread across the ground, Ivan worries not due to his aerial advantage and poison typing. For the second time again this round, EK seems to have made an error. Ivan begins to whip his wings with tremdeous force, drawing in both the spikes and rocks that Duff just spent the round laying. They get drawn in and destroyed, no longer posing a threat to Fairfax's team.

Varys got absolutely wrecked and is sitting on the final third while Ivan nears the final third and Duff took no damage. Duff at a bit over half poison while Ivan has 2/3rds dark remaining. Ivan can go for two, Duff still pretty fresh.

Fairfax to order

Switchin' on out to Lapsang, released within melee range.
Open with Power-Up Punch, then hop into a Double Kick.

If the switch fails, Toxic, then Haze and be evasive.

As Fairfax holds up his Pokeball to recall Ivan, EK quickly orders Duff to block the switch. Somehow the Cradily moves like a bullet, quickly intercepting the beam from the Pokeball and cutting off the switch! Luckily Fairfax was smart enough to leave orders for Ivan, just incase something like this happened. The Crobat spews forth toxic poison, which splatters over the Cradily and begins to seep into its rocky hide.

Before Ivan can create a Haze to hide in, Duff quickly shows off some swagger, the enraging display gets to Ivan and prevents him for following such passive orders.

No damage traded, Duff is toxic poisoned and that will kick in next round. Ivan is fresh but currently under the effects of swagger, Duff still good to go.

EK to order

With the match up surely not even, Duff looks to apply the pressure as jagged stones and sent spinning towards Ivan. The Crobat shows no fear, his four wings glisten like polished steel as he dives in towards the barrage. The bat grits his teeth as he crushes through the rocks, although the impact isn't really weakened by his own attack, steel moves being better for cutting through energy and all. He ends up taking a nasty hit before landing a cracking blow into Duff's hard body, the Cradily moans in pain.

Looking to set himself up for long term success, Duff ingrains himself into the arena, energy and vitality begin returning to him steadily. Ivan is soon upon the Cradily again, this time striking his wings across in an X, branding the fossil pokemon with bug energy. Toxins begin to strengthen within Duff, although the ingrain will offset this for a while.

Duff near the end of the first while Ivan moves into the second. Ivan at around half in bug and steel while Duff used no offtype and is now ingrained. Duff can still go for two and same goes for Ivan.

Not looking to retreat just yet, Ivan spews forth a strange poisonous concoction that splatters all over Duff. The poison seems to react with the toxins already in the Cradily's body, resulting in a nice increase in damage. Duff doesn't concern himself with it too much, instead he concentrates on sinking in some more damage. More stones are sent speeding through the air, peppering the Crobat with a nice super effective blow.

Finally deciding to get himself out of this match up, Ivan covers himself in bug energy and zips in towards Duff. He slams into the rocky fossil, dealing a nice super effective hit before flipping back into his Pokeball. Fairfax quickly releases Lapsang the Combusken out into the arena but the reception the chicken receives is far from welcoming. A pillar of ground energy erupts from the earth, dealing a nasty super effective hit to Lapsang, while Duff heals from his roots before being stung by the toxic once more.

Ivan deep into the second as Duff sneaks past the midpoint. Duff wouldn't mind a break while Ivan will recover in the ball. Ivan all but out of bug energy, Duff at half ground. Lapsang is fresh but took a strong hit on entry.
