UPN PASBL - Gym Match: TheKnightsFury Vs. RealMrGame10

Arena: The Isle of Torment
Created by the gods as a place of torment for the most wretched of souls, Challengers find themselves transported to the middle of the ocean. A ring of longboats sections off a portion of the ocean, roughly 100 metres in diameter. In the middle of sectioned off ocean rests a ring of polished stone, runes are carved into its surface and give off a mystical glow. The outer edge of the ring is about 40 metres in diameter, while the inner edge is about 30 metres in diameter. Occupying the centre of the ring is a roaring whirlpool, the swirling water treacherous to those who are not strong swimmers. Rules for the whirlpool follow the whirlpool move description; however the whirlpool tends to be strongest at the edges, growing gentler towards the middle. The ring remains stationary even with the force of the whirlpool. The whirlpool can be accessed by swimming under the ring, however the strong pull prevents a Pokémon from remaining under the ring indefinitely. The magical properties of the ring allow it to float on the water and also cause it to be indestructible and impossible to flip. Due to being stone, moves like earthquake and bulldoze will fail to transmit, unless used by ground type Pokemon or Pokemon that are particularly skilled at manipulating the earth.
The ocean currents are quite rough, with various currents and rips flowing in different directions, which follow the same rules as boulders in the rock arena. Water Pokémon and Pokémon that are proficient swimmers may be able to use these currents to their advantage, while Pokémon not familiar with the water will find it harder and more exhausting to swim.
RealMrGame10 takes the fight to the Water Gym Leader in the Isle of Torment. Will TheKnightsFury be able to uphold the arena's name? Or will RealMrGame10 literally turn the tides?

Squads, please.

Cheers for picking this up Mew. Good luck Rhee and a reminder you are obligated to bring Emolga ;)

Bringing:

Swampertite @ Saurfang the Marshtomp
Sculptor's Token @ Hylli the Lapras
Primary Badge
Global Badge
The Primary Badge is given to those trainers tenacious enough to best Kairne in the Triad Gym. The gems embedded in the badge symbolise the triple threat of Grass, Fire, and Water; and show the owner's mastery over the basic types.
Badge Effect: Type Mastery
When used, each time the owner of this badge sends out a Pokémon for the first time in the battle, he/she can choose 1 damage-dealing move of that Pokémon's type(s). That Pokémon may use that move until the end of the battle, although usage of it will take a light amount more energy than normal. If a Pokémon is returned to their PokéBall and sent out later in the same battle, a new move is not chosen, instead they retain the previously chosen move. Additional move restrictions apply (NO Legend moves, or exclusive moves, such as Sketch, Conversion/Conversion2, Transform, etc. Physically impossible moves also may not be chosen, such as a Voltorb with ThunderPunch, but if the Pokémon can reasonably use it with a small bit of improvisation, such as Magnemite with Steel Wing, that is permissible).

Viking Badge @ Ljos the Lanturn
Attachable Badge
A symbol gifted to those who have managed to survive the Isle of Torment, claiming victory over TheKnightsFury. Consists of an ax and hammer, set behind a polished wooden shield.
Badge Effect: The Berserker's Rage
Although on the surface the Pokemon attached with this badge may seem calm and collected, deep within them lies a rage just waiting to escape. When they reach the final third of health, they will be granted a 20% boost to both their offences as well as a 10% boost to their speed, subject to standard boosting stipulations. Additionally, they will become more enthusiastic in battle when they are trailing in health, granted all the boosts of enthusiasm.

Ljos the Chinchou (Lvl 3 Female)
@ Viking Badge
Hidden Power: Poison
Signature Move: Overload (Electric)
Ljos fires off a burst of intense electrical energy dealing solid damage for solid energy. The voltage carried in this attack causes an overload in electric type pokemon, causing them to take super effective damage from this attack (with mechanics akin to freeze dry). Ljos needs time to recover from this attack and can never use it twice in a row.

Stiarna the Staryu (lvl 3 female)
Hidden Power: Grass
Signature Technique: Star crossed lovers
Stiarna concentrates major typeless energy to form a giant energy construct of a 5 pointed star. The construct fires an incredibly fast and unavoidable beam of energy from one of its points. The beam deals no damage but randomly lowers one of the opponents stats (attack, special attack, defense, special defense, speed) by 20%. The star then sits at the highest point of the arena and will reactivate every time the opponent sends out a Pokemon, lowering one of the Pokemon's stats at random. Standard boost and entry hazard stipulations apply.

Lombro the Lombre(lvl 3 male)
Hidden Power: Electric
Signature Training: The Haka
True to his New Zealand and dancing roots, every time Lombro is released from his pokeball he does the Haka. The intimidating dance happens immediately, lasting about as long as it would take for a pokemon to mega evolve and expending considerable energy. It leaves him with a slight boost to his speed, while opponents will be so intimidated that they will refuse to return to their pokeball for three rounds, essentially trapping them. The trapping effect follows the same rules as mean look, preventing both conventional switches and switch via switching moves like u-turn and baton pass and the open will be free to switch if Lombro leaves the arena. Standard boost stipulations apply to the boost and the trapping effect can be cleared the same way as Mean Look. The trapping effect will only effect the opponent the first time they see The Haka but the boost will happen every time. Lombro has forgotten how to use swords dance, power-up punch, razor leaf and water pulse.

Spenna the Cloyster (lvl 3 female)
Hidden Power: Psychic
Signature Training: Now you see me, now you don’t
Spenna’s teleport now uses water energy and will leave a shroud of bubbles behind that may coat an opponent in soapy residue (similar to bubblebeam) if they come into physical contact with the bubbles. Spenna can no longer use Shell Smash, Reflect, Bide and Twin Needle and she loses her resistance to water, now being neutral to the type.

Saurfang the Marshtomp (lvl 3 male)@swampertite
Hidden Power: Psychic
Special Characteristic: Prework out
Because he is always slamming down pre work out before a battle, Saurfang enjoys a permanent amnesia boost. The Prework out has reduced his slipperiness however, reducing his resistance to grabs and holds although he is still wet enough to be unaffected by electric attacks when wet. He also forgot how to use power-up punch, rock smash, focus punch, stealth rock, Avalanche, sludge wave and curse.

Hylli the Lapras (lvl 4 uplevel female) @Sculptor's Token
Hidden Power: Fighting
Signature Training: Princess of the Sea
Hylli is now familiar with the fairy type, also gaining access to draining kiss, disarming voice and dazzling gleam. There are just some things a princess like her can’t be seen doing and so she can no longer use fissure, thunder, nightmare, dream eater or curse.

Thanks for reffing, MtG, and best of luck TKF (not that it's necessary for you lol)

Lizzy the Galvantula (Level 3 Female)
Bio:
When sparring with my Rhyhorn, Rhynaut, and my Growlithe, Seijuro, Lizzy noted that she seemed to lack significantly in abilities to deal with their typings. When asking my Emolga, Amelia, about how to rectify this, Amelia was not quite certain at first. Stumped, Lizzy voluntarily sat out of the next training session. While watching, she noted an instance in which Amelia's Electro Ball curved the path of a Water Gun ever so slightly with the static charge. Lizzy's mind began racing, coming up with a solution. She found her answer in a storm one day. While the rest of my team and I found shelter, Lizzy found a way to manipulate water with her electricity.
Signature Technique (EL/WA): Storm Cannon
Using a mixture of significant Water type energy and significant electric type energy (overall significant energy), Lizzy generates a basin of electricity above her head. This basin attracts and collects the moisture in the air and water around her, and when the basin reaches critical capacity, she launches the water at her opponent at the speed of a Water Gun. Underneath normal conditions, the charge time takes about the time of a Solar Beam during a Rain Dance and deals significant Water type damage. Under a Rain Dance, the charge time is roughly the speed of a Solar Beam under Sunny Day and deals heavy Water damage. However, if Storm Cannon is used under a Rain Dance, Lizzy will immediately feel somewhat winded afterwards. This technique can only be used twice per battle.
Hidden Power: Fire
Bugcatcher's Token attached

Amelia the Emolga (Level 3 Female)
Bio:
Amelia's first trainer was Amelia Earhart's secret grandson, Francis Earhart. Once Amelia was old enough, Francis took her on an adventure into the Johto region. While passing over the Whirl Islands, they had a run-in with Lugia and crashed. Francis ejected, but landed in the ocean and drowned. Amelia was caught in the wreckage and landed in the islands herself. As she regained her strength, brokenhearted, she watched Lugia, particularly its Aeroblast attack. In order to distract Lugia and escape the islands, she prepared a similar technique herself. I later found Amelia, who had been alone for two years, in Opelucid City in Unova and caught her there.
Signature Attack (FL): definitely not Aeroblast Spirit of Adventure
Using about 2 seconds to charge, Amelia focuses a heavy amount of Flying Energy into a small ball, which she then launches at a high speed at her opponent. It deals heavy flying damage if it connects and has a 20% chance of confusion (did that Emolga just use Aeroblast?) and a 20% chance of paralysis due to built-up static on Amelia's body.
Hidden Power: Water

Felicia the Lileep (Level 3 Female)
Bio:
Deep in the rainforest, at the base of the Tree of Atonement, there is a seed. In years to come it will grow, without sunlight or water it will feed, not caring about the sanctity of the Tree of Atonement, not needing to know. When it is full grown, it will choke the Tree of Atonement, and all will be turned on its head. Right will be left, up will be down, and no one will be safe. Except the ones who were in danger. This seed is called the Seed of Unforgiveness. Felicia, the Princess of Vice, is its mother. The years of holding the Seed in her body has left her with the ability to call upon a small portion of its powers.
Special Technique (GR): Realm of Unforgiveness
Using major Grass Energy, Felicia surrounds herself and her opponent with the Vines of Unforgiveness, which are indestructible and last for three rounds. While within the Vines of Unforgiveness, the battlefield acts as though it is under the effects of Trick Room and Grassy Terrain. It is impossible to manipulate the environment in the Vines of Unforgiveness, but they can be forced to retreat with a Fire type move of heavy power or higher. While the Vines of Unforgiveness are active, Felicia is considered to be under the effects of Swagger, but without the attack boost. Felicia can only use this Technique twice per battle.
Hidden Power: Fire

Billy the Marshtomp (Level 3 Male)
No sig
Hidden Power: Flying
Swampertite attached

Thurgood the Bidoof (Level 3 Male)
Bio:
Thurgood has worked long and hard to get to where he is. No one took him seriously when he was younger because he was a Bidoof. He was constantly bullied and harassed in school for being different than his classmates. His parents told him one day, "Thurgood, you'll go through your life and struggle because you are a Bidoof, and if you don't give it your all, you'll never make it. Even if you do, you want get as far as, say, a Pikachu or one of those other respectable Pokemon." But Thurgood would have none of it. If his parents didn't believe in him, he'd have to do all the believing himself. So Thurgood lived the American dream. He got a full ride to law school and passed the bar exam on his first try. He was the key attorney in a landmark Supreme Court case that gave equal rights to all Bidoofs under the law. But it wasn't enough for Thurgood. He always felt that there was more that he could do. So he got married, had a few kids, but he still felt unfulfilled. Even though the law had given Bidoofs equal protection in writing, in practicality, Bidoofs still weren't respected. But what could be done? What could Thurgood do to show all those kids who had beat him up in high school? Then it happened. Thurgood was made a Supreme Court Justice. Finally, Thurgood could show all the Pokemon of the world what true justice was. Finally, a Bidoof had power. Due to his judge status, Thurgood's fur surrounding his head resembles a judge's wig. This is a purely aesthetic change.
Signature Attack (NO): Supreme Justice
Using high energy, Thurgood summons a giant energy construct resembling a gavel that floats over his head and then slams down onto the opponent, dealing high damage. Thurgood can use this attack twice per opponent.
Hidden Power: Fairy

Red Baroness the Skarmory (Level 3 Female)
No sig
Hidden Power: Ground

We're going to start off with Lizzy!

Squirtle Round 1

Challenging the Gym and entering the arena in the first place is a mark of bravery for anyone, but even the most intrepid of trainers must feel a certain sense of jeopardy at being stranded in the middle of the ocean. This, apparently, is not enough to stop the two combatants. Exchanging greetings in a manner only possible right before a fierce duel, they brings forth their proponents.

Quote:
Galvantula (Bug/Electric): Galvantula are excellent climbers and can scale sheer surfaces. Much like Ariados, they are able to travel using their String Shot, which is slightly charged with electrical energy and can do slight electrical damage on contact, and will be more effective than usual.

Chinchou (Water/Electric): Chinchou are fish and thus are slow and nearly immobile on land, but are faster and more agile in the water. They fight more enthusiastically when submerged and in a sizeable body of water. Whenever a Chinchou uses an electric attack in the water, it creates a small amount of electricity around it, shocking anything in the water with it within 10 feet of it (damage is considered equal to half a Thunder Shock for the most powerful electric attacks. They may also use their antenna as a light source in the same way that the Mareep family does with their tails.
Lizzy is in a rather precarious position, it must be said, her footing restricted to a ring of ominously glowing stones, but her feet, clearly used to climbing are dexterous enough to ensure a firm grip. Even if she knows that it is unwise to contest the Chinchou's maneuverability in the water, she follows her foe around with her gaze, alert to her every move, her large eyes wide open. The angler fish's movement is casual, drifting, perhaps even indifferent. The Galvantula takes this not as an insult, as a proud warrior would have, but as a sign of utter confidence -- generally not a good sign, that, even if it is befitting of the Gym Leader's Pokemon. She is better off safe than sorry, she decides, and, instead of taking the initiative, she hangs back, extracting her own essence at the cost of some of her vitality, and creating a Substitute. She proceeds to scuttle away, the better to ensure that she does not meet whatever fate is going to befall the decoy, and then resigns herself to resuming her passive observation of her adversary. There is... not much to say, really. Ljos is looking almost lazy, and although, at the back of her mind, Lizzy gets the eerie feeling that _something_ is off, she cannot _quite_ put her finger on it...

To her relief -- which quickly turns into a wake-up call -- her opponent is the first to strike, and, with eyes peeled, Lizzy waits to see just what the fish has up her sleeve, just what could have happened if she had not taken preventive measures. Before her eyes, the Chinchou's antennae suddenly intertwine, beginning to spark and crackle as one, each adding its strength and brilliance to the other's. Then, suddenly, they cannot hold it back any more, even in their unified control, the Overload exploding violently, and almost instantly obliterating the decoy. The Galvantula realizes that her opponent must have realized just what is going on -- if she has, she certainly does not look surprised -- and, knowing that the game is up, bites back in her own way. She tilts her head up, vigorously running her pedipalps against each other, until the sound escalates to a high-pitched Buzz so loud that it seems to force red shockwaves into existence. The Bug Type's cry reverberates in a wide cone, destroying the decoy, and slightly grazing the real deal, although, due to the Water Type's masterful use of the currents, she has certainly managed to escape the worst.

Both sides lost some health creating their Substitutes, and Ljos has taken some slight damage, but neither side has fallen far at all. Both Pokemon are nice and fresh.

All right, keep skittering around the ring of rocks as you fire off a Pin Missile. In the event the Chinchou approaches you, use String Shot on a distant rock and gtfo, but if not, Energy Ball

Lapras Round 2

Lizzy's legs work off busily, swiftly carrying her body around the ring of stones. She is on edge, and whenever she moves to a spot she initially deems optimal, she instantly finds it to be, on the contrary, unsatisfactory, and so she continues to move along in her endless search, knowing not that the problem is not her position, but her nerves. That is not necessarily a bad thing, however -- it means that the problem is one that is well within her means to make up for. She stops ultimately, not quite certain of her next course of action, but prioritizing doing something over nothing. Lowering her head and pressing her body to the ground, she points her forelimbs at the Chinchou, and, from unseen sockets, a swarm of Pins shoots out, each projectiles moving like a Missile. Immediately as the attack reaches her, Ljos merely grunts, but the repetitive stings quickly change her reaction for the worse, and she decides that it would be most pleasant if she can avoid further damage, at least for a short reprieve. Her antennae suddenly glow dim, then, just as suddenly, they begin to flicker in a pattern that makes sense only to her. A small dose of psychokinetic energy is released into the air, and she crafts it into a Screen of Light.

Once again, the angler fish has chosen to bide her time, waiting for something. At this point, the Galvantula knows better than to expect the incoming hurdles to be easy -- she has already been tricked once -- and, after all, luring the foe into a false sense of security is what an angler fish does. It is her opponent's niche as a predator. But she is not sure what else she can do. If she does not interfere, that just gives her foe more time to prepare. Nodding to herself slightly, she sets her aim on the Chinchou once again, her pedipalps releasing bright green Energy between themselves, their proximity allowing her to intricately and precisely shape it into a Ball. She then launches the orb straight at the Water Type, but the shield flashes as the attack makes contact, and continues to glow as the sphere explodes. As the attack dissipates, the shield looks worse for the wear, but is nonetheless standing. It quickly moves out the way, however, Ljos having got the chance she had wanted. Once again, her antennae intertwine to add each's power to the other's, and together, they send forth an Overload, more electricity than Lizzy can handle surging into her body.

Ljos holds a slight lead, her Psychic Type energy enough for another Light Screen. Lizzy's Grass Type energy can likewise fuel another Energy Ball.

Omanyte Round 3

Ljos's antennae disentangle as she prepares herself to stay on the move, though the faint hum of electricity continues to hang in the air, only inaudible because of the roar of the whirlpool at the centre. Although subtle in their means, the antennae are still contributing to her attack, kick-starting a chemical reaction that generates heat, bringing an isolated part of the water stored inside her body to a boil. Her cheeks bulge as the liquid begins to emerge, although her mouth is shut tightly in a bid to build up pressure and give some additional punch to the attack. Suddenly, she lets the pressure loose, and a Scalding burst of water and steam washes over Lizzy. She shakes herself dry, however, and although her fur is already sopping wet, and her body can still be faintly seen giving off steam, she does not seem to have suffered a Burn. Nonetheless, she feels a pressing need to bite back, and as the Chinchou moves to take shelter in a current, she rears up, raising both of her forelimbs in an X stance. She then slashes the air, sending forth a glowing green projectile, before returning to her usual posture. The cross cuts through the Light Screen like a Scissor, and reaches the Pokemon behind it, knocking her off course somewhat.

The Galvantula nods to herself, apparently satisfied with her work for now, and choosing to conserve her strength so that she can contribute at a later point in the battle. Her damp fur suddenly stands up straight, sparks gathering at their tips, and together forming a shimmering aura all around her. She releases some of this Volt in her opponent's direction, which the angler fish shrugs off without much trouble, but it is clear that the move has an ulterior motive. Certainly, if it were a move intended only to deal direct damage, the spider would not be so relaxed now. Confirming the Water Type's suspicions, her adversary suddenly disappears in a red beam of light, only to be replaced by Felicia the Lileep.

Quote:
Lileep (Rock/Grass): Lileep can stick to the ground to absorb nutrients. Lifting or trying to move this Pokémon will count as it having double weight. Lileep's Ingrain is more effective than normal. While they are capable of movement when not rooted down, they are quite slow, as they must hop around to get around. As a sea lily, their natural habitat is the ocean, allowing them to stay underwater indefinitely. They also take slightly less damage from Water-type attacks. They are capable of seeing in the dark. Being fossils, their Ancient Power attack will boost slightly more often.
The odds have about been evened, but that just means that the match can go either way. Both sides are fresh and ready to go.

Wooper Round 4

Battles have, over time, developed to something sophisticated -- especially in the case of a battle as important as this, where the respective trainers are doubtlessly working according to their own plans. And yet, something about battle, or rather, the natural enthusiasm thereof that Pokemon seem to share, is primal, hailing from ancient times, from the very conception of Pokemon. Rooted to one spot as she may be, Felicia seems to be poised for battle, perhaps remembering battles long past, or motivated by the fact that Lizzy has called upon her help in battle. Her tentacles rise and meet at a point, isolating an area from the surroundings. From the gaps between the tentacles, bright green Energy begins to emanate, alerting the Chinchou, who immediately begins to make for shelter in the currents, and, eventually, the Ball that forms is so difficult to hold back that the tentacles begin to give away. Not waiting for it to happen by itself, Felicia relaxes her tentacles, launching the enclosed sphere in her foe's direction. In a sudden burst of Agility, however, impressive even considering her natural ability in the water, Ljos darts out of the way, using a current to carry herself to safety, the orb fizzling out harmlessly upon not finding its mark.

A change of the Lileep's facial expression, if existing, is imperceptible, although that might well be attributed to the fact that she does not have much of a face. As she glances back towards her trainer, however, her motions give away some manner of confusion. She has received her orders, but she is not proceeding with them. It would seem that she does not know the move Stone Edge, her species not generally capable of learning it. Fortuitous as this detail may be, Ljos is quick to take advantage of the fact, her antennae flickering as she continuously releases Waves of Thunder in her opponent's direction, holding it long enough to numb her.

No damage traded. Felicia is still fresh.

Mudkip Round 5

Ljos seems to be satisfied with her work, or, at least, she decides that this is as far as she is willing to go given the risk intrinsically associated with a Type disadvantage. TheKnightsFury returns her to her Pokeball, and, just as the Galvantula's had, her own ally comes in to take over for her.

Quote:
Lombre (Grass/Water): Though able to swim and stay underwater for a fair amount of time, Lombre are not the best swimmers and prefer to stay near the surface of the water. They benefit from rain much more than other Grass Pokémon and fight more enthusiastically in the rain.
Lombro lands in the water with only a light splash, and though he nearly submerges himself, his eyes are visible above the surface. His expression speaks of patience, of a Pokemon who, in battle, would prefer to gauge his opponent's abilities and habits before taking action. His habits, however, get the better of him -- he suddenly begins to perform the Haka dance, and so otherworldly does it look to Felicia -- who, owing to being a Fossil Pokemon, is unfamiliar with culture beyond that essential for survival -- that she, despite not reacting externally, finds herself unable to return to her Pokeball for some time. Realizing that she has to act fast to keep herself from being trapped in more ways than one -- if things were to go wrong here, she would be unable to call to her friends for help; this means that she has to make sure things do not go wrong -- she tries to send out a Confuse Ray, but the electricity lingering in her muscles is too distracting, and she finds herself jolted out of the move. Looking to make his advantage even more pronounced, the Lombre, having since settled down from his outburst of dance, hops out form the water momentarily to spit out a Seed-like projectile at his opponent.

The kappa lands in the water just as passively as he had before, but even as he does so, his reputation for being a deadly monster in folklore reveals itself to not be unfounded. The projectiles suddenly bursts open, releasing multiple shoots that proceed to entangle the Lileep, who does not enjoy the Grass Type immunity to the move that she would have done in the case of the games themselves. This prompts her to act, however, and though entangled even further, she manages to shake off the Paralysis this time to fire her move, not being much inclined to motion anyway. Managing to detect some aggression in Felicia's glowing eyes creates a Substitute of himself, to take risks in his stead when they seem necessary but this necessity does little to alleviate the danger -- such as this, swimming away to watch the events that unfold from a safer perspective. From an unseen cavity, the Fossil Pokemon shoots a volley of Bullets, each also strikingly resembling Seeds in shape, though in reality simply being golden energy in composition, which come in such quick succession that their combined force tears right through the decoy. All is not well for her, however, because the Leeching effects of her opponent's move immediately take effect.

Felcia's Paralysis has grown weaker than before. Both sides are fresh, and only Lombro has lost health.

Switching to Amelia, in the air. Start with a Spirit of Adventure totally not Aeroblast. Follow with an Air Slash if you can see him, but QC Sub if you cannot.

You cannot switch for three rounds because of Lombre's signature.

Punish him by Brick Breaking through the screen and striking him for a massive hit as you mount the ring. Follow with a Drain Punch as long as the barrier was broken, otherwise try and Brick Break it again

Ludicolo Round 6

Felicia seems to be somewhat startled as her opponent simply disappears before her eyes, but, apparently as stoic in demeanour as she is in face, she keeps her wits and glances around, quickly tracking her opponent down again, with his lazy eyes still peeping out of the water under his leafy hat: lazy, but not lax; lazy, but not amiable; lazy, but not soft. Yes, there is something jarring about an opponent who you cannot read, a battle where you never know what is coming next. Already bound up in vines, she can, with the very instincts that she had relied on in the dangerous world of the past, she realizes that danger is imminent. Prioritizing her protection over all else -- because she cannot do much unless she can keep herself from being struck down too quickly -- she concentrates her psychic power into a rectangular Barrier, the shield's outline appearing in the air before it fills up and then, in another step, becomes tangible. It would seem that this is precisely what Lombro had been waiting for, however. Suddenly, leaps towards his opponent, using his arms to somersault his way to her, and, in the same motion, lashing out with a blow that has the power to Break a Brick, his hand glowing a bright orange.

With a horrifying cracking sound, the shield shatters almost immediately, the attack specialized in this regard, and, in fact, looking to be stronger for it. The sound as it connects with its true target -- that shield was nothing but a distraction -- is, however, even more poignant, the vibrations reverberating in the ears of both Pokemon, delivering pain to one and smug satisfaction to the other. Her Paralysis having cleanly been knocked out, however, she hastens to retaliate before her opponent can return to the safety of the water, using her stretching neck to draw back slightly as she curves her tentacles in, gathering bright green Energy where they meet. It grows larger, larger, until its shape becomes distinguishable, refined, a Ball either perfect, or its radiance blinding the eyes to any imperfections that exist. Before the Lombre can react, she thrusts it forward into his face, the sphere exploding hard enough to send him staggering, nearly throwing him right back into the water. The moment he regains his balance, however, he is on his opponent again, determined to establish his advantage like never before. His fingers, now in a fist, glow once again, and he thrusts a Punch forward, its very touch seeming to Drain Felicia of her strength.

While Lombro has overall lost very little health this round, most of the damage dealt to him being healed off, Felicia has crashed into her second third. While Lombro is out of Fighting Type energy for the most part, Felicia's Psychic can still fuel a somewhat weakened Barrier.
