Manaphy Round 7: Read Descriptions Thoroughly

Mean Look (NO) -- Using good energy, the user glares at the opponent, covering it in a blue glow for a moment which quickly fades, placing a Curse on the opponent. This move makes the victim unable to be recalled until it has fainted, including with the use of switching moves like Baton Pass. It also can intimidate the opponent in a fashion similar to Leer. Mean Look lasts 5 rounds and each subsequent use will last 2 fewer rounds and fail after 3 uses. When the user switches out via conventional switching or methods other than Baton Pass, the curse will automatically fade.


Austo decides that he needs all the advantage that he can get in this match-up as he changes out Vatneitr for his trusty Chinchou who goes by the name of Ljos. Ljos splashes down into the water much to the surprise of GX who misread the description of Mean Look, Ljos decides that her best course of action is to copy Rasa's earlier annoying as all heck choice and starts to create a quickly charged substitute and just props it in the water like a well-oiled machine. Bolt looks on, still confused but he quickly and surely starts to relax quite a bit as he starts to Meditate and relax himself, loosening his confusion somewhat before staring back towards the Ljos decoy which looks smug and his get on Bolt's nerves so the Elekid decides to plan some form of damage, but little does he know that Ljos is also planning a way to absolutely shock Bolt to this core, even if that shouldn't be possible by regular means.

Ljos starts to realise that her charge is a bit too much at the moment and as such decides to let her bodies electric supplies build up a massive amount, the electricity starts to fly all over the place and Bolt stands his ground as he is unmoved by the action that seems to be going on where he can't see, his gaze fixed massively upon the substitute doll. Ljos then gets fed up and fires an Overload at Bolt who laughs at the attack before taking a massive hit to his core, he screams in pains as the electricity seems to eat into his body while causing a pretty huge chunk of damage in the process. Bolt picks himself up and decides to get some payback on Ljos as he charges his arms clockwise in order to generate some power for his move, Bolt soon gets ready as he fires his Thunderbolt right into the copy of Ljos which disintegrates before Bolt's eyes while the real Ljos can be seen laughing at how she foiled his plans at this point of time.

Summary:

Bolt is now under half-health, good for two.

Ljos took only sub damage, good for two.

Manaphy Round 8: Boring Round

GX decides that it is, once more, time to switch to get a type advantage which will hopefully allow him to catch a break against Austo. GX switches out Bolt the Elekid in exchange for his trusty Turtwig named Custos. While this is happening though, it is clear that Ljos already has a plan as while the switch takes place she charges up Ghost energy into her lights. She's ready to fire as soon as Custos comes out, the Turtwig opens his mouth and looks around before being shined with the ray of confusion. Now forgetting what is was that he was gonna do. Ljos then lazily Volt Switches against the ring and Djupr comes out as a an answer to Custos.

Round ends due to Volt Switch/BP/U-turn rules.

Summary:

Nobody took damage, everyone is fresh and Custos is confused.

Manaphy Round 9: Just Like Fire (Fire)

Djupr looks around as he notices Custos looking battle ready, although he ends up not really being too fussed by the Grass type due to his part Fire typing. Djupr looks to make Custos really hurt this round as he charges up some Fire energy which starts to envelop his body before he gives the energy a command of smacking straight into Custos for some nasty SE damage. The energy turns into a wind before looking menacing and acting like a hot summer's day in Australia, the Heat Wave washes over Custos who absolutely reels in a massive amount of pain before shaking himself off and rejoicing that he wasn't burned. Custos shakes himself off before deciding to erect a shield of Psychic energy in front of him, he gives a look to the type-changed Clauncher as if to say "I dare you to tackle this". Djupr sees this look and decides that he may as well charge the Grass Pokemon's face in. (WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF PRETTY FIRE!)

Djupr decides to charge his body, with said pretty fire, going all pyromaniac on Custos and trying to scare the heck out of him, Djupr starts to propel himself forwards as flames cover his body and increase his speed stat, he looks dead straight at Custos who starts to... Chuckle? Djupr finds this strange, unaware of what the screen in front of Custos was. Djupr then slams right into the screen which barely cracks from the attack, the Reflect saving Custos from taking any more damage that necessary. Djupr looks on as Custos goes on the offensive, he charges up a chunk of Grass type energy before shaping it all into bombs. Custos then fires the aforementioned Seed Bombs at Djupr who reels in damage from the blow but only slightly, his Water/Fire typing being a saving grace in this situation. Djupr and Custos then start to stare each other down, ready for whatever the other might decide to bring in the following round.

Summary:

Custos took a ton of damage, dropping through his first third. Good for two.
Djupr took some damage, good for two.

Manaphy Round 10: Threat Eliminated

In what seems to turn this match into a switch war, which is no surprise due to it being 6v6 and Switch = OK, GX switches out Custos back for Bolt to absolutely nobody's surprise. Although, while this switch is taking place, Djupr charges up a ton of Fire typed energy and blasts himself off into the water whilst also blasting the switched-in Bolt which destroys the Reflect and deals a ton of damage to the Elekid before it goes and tries to Thunder Punch Djupr... Only to realise that Djupr is under the water and Bolt isn't going swimming just to punch a Clauncher especially when it would cause him to have a massive disadvantage. Djupr then uses an attack that Bolt has already been acquainted with, the infamous Muddy Water, the unclean and earthy wave is fired from the claw and smashes straight into Bolt who screams in pain before shaking himself down. Bolt decides to then blast a Thunderbolt towards Djupr who definitely feels the shock of the attack before firing another simple Muddy Water into Bolt which hits him and knocks him out.

Bolt is unable to battle, next 'mon and orders from GX please.

Summary:

Clauncher is nearing the second third, good for two and Ground is shot.

Austo has no three-movers left.

Manaphy Round 11: Water Fight

As Bolt goes down, GX recalls him and then sends out Metus the Totodile who is able to fight the GL's Pokemon head-on in the water which could potentially be a vital asset against TKF and his squadron of watery murder machines. Metus decides that his best option is to go and rush Djupr with a Dragon Rush, his body charges up with a nice chunk of Dragon energy before ramming into the Clauncher who reels slightly from the impact. Djupr then decides that he's had enough here and wants to leave for someone else to replace him. So the Clauncher charges into the side of the ring as bug energy envelops his body before he switches out to another one of Austo's prized fighters of the deep blue sea. Stiarna appears before Metus as its core glows a deep red, letting Metus know that it isn't gonna go easy on him. The round ends with both staring each other down, not much distance between the two which means that this is gonna get exciting.

Summary:

Metus went unharmed and Djupr is into the second third, Metus is good for two and Stiarna is fresh from the ball.

Manaphy Round 12: Sub Me In

Stiarna enters the arena and feels happy about doing so, looking around however a Staryu does before deciding to go on the defense. Stiarna cuts a decent amount of health and energy from its reserves before creating a decoy which could even be a substitute for the real deal. Move puns aside, Stiarna takes this time to spin further away from Metus and to get to a rather safe position. Metus, unaware of what Stiarna had done decides to go straight for the star. Metus charges a fist with Fighting energy, sure enough that the attack would break the substitute. Metus swings his fist out with some fierce force before connecting with Stiarna(?) who doesn't react whatsoever to the move, Metus finds this to be rather strange but shrugs it off as he receives a boost to his physical attack which might end up being super useful later on in this match-up. Well, that's if this match-up stays and nobody switches in 3 rounds time but hey.

The real Stiarna takes advantage of being hidden from Metus and decides that it's time to matchmake for him. Stars form around Stiarna, the water and light making them look pink before Stiarna spins a RNG wheel and fires the stars into the Totodile who's still absolutely sure that the substitute is the real deal. Metus notices the Star Crossed Lovers take their effect as they lower his SpDef by 20%. Which is probably the worst case scenario for the Totodile who is still mesmerized by the substitute-which-isn't-Stiarna but Metus would tell anyone else different.

Summary:

Metus took no damage, good for two.
Stiarna only took sub damage, good for two.

Dragon!twister after the dive destroys the sub and you move closer. Get in close for a point blank Dazzling Gleam obviously aiming for the eyes.

Metus knows that he has to lay down some pain but he doesn't know that the Stiarna before him is a sub, so he looks dead straight at it before acting as if it were. Metus dives down below the surface as he builds up much needed momentum for his attack to smart. Metus crash-dives into "Stiarna" who disappears into thin air before Metus finally realises what trickery had happened and he growls to himself about his frustration which was caused by this. Stiarna takes this opportunity to RYUU GA WAGA TEKI WO KURAU! all over Metus who sees the energy spiral of Dragon energy being formed above Stiarna. The "twister" is then launched at Metus who takes the attack dead-on and feels the effects of his lowered special defense as the draconic move packs more of a punch than it usually would have. Metus grunts a bit before somersaulting backwards and getting on with his next order which is somewhat slightly questionable.

Metus decides that it is well and truly time to fight fire with fire or in this case; fighting water with water. He knows that this move is rather hot and hopes that the heat would affect Stiarna enough to give him somewhat of an edge coming into the next round. The water pressure in his neck builds before he cannot take it any longer. Metus quickly fires forward the super hot spray of water which seems a bit too hot to shower with. The scalding hot water washes over Stiarna who merely shrugs the not very effective move off, luckily managing to avoid any burn which Metus was probably going for. Stiarna then prepares a nice amount of Fairy energy and decides that it is time to lay down some hurt, the Fairy energy is released in a blinding light which does just that to Metus. The Totodile is met with momentary blindness which will affect his at the start of next round,

Summary:

Stiarna took barely any damage, good for two. Fairy and Dragon are at half.
Metus took a shitton of damage, nearing the halfway mark. Good for two.

Quickly avoid the stars by going deep underwater and using your agile nature to evade the stars best you can. Then Launch a Hydro Pump aimed at its core from under the surface of the water.

Manaphy Round 14: Right ok.

Stiarna starts by shooting off a barrage of swift starts towards Metus who decides to tail it away and into the water, trying to avoid what are basically tracking missiles and gets hit in the back by the entire barrage due to how well they can change direction. Metus then goes and charges up a huge amount of water energy and is somewhat lucky enough to even get the attack off due to the fact that Stiarna's supersonic would've hit quicker if not for it having to travel through water. Metus gets confused by it after firing the Hydro Pump which Stiarna has enough time to react to as she turns her back to it, making a shot to her core an impossible task.

Summary:

Metus could use a breather and is under half-health.

Stiarna good for two, still in the first third.
