UPN PASBL Elite Four Challenge: Sneaze vs. Elite Four Connor

Hello and welcome to this debacle-to-be of powerhouses butting heads until one dies from inactivity emerges victorious! Here are the rules y'all will be adhering to this match:

Quote:
3 vs 3
Singles
Strict 1 week DQ - No exceptions
Slapstick
Equilevel
Return = OK
Keep in mind that unless you have a TA up, I will not hesitate in DQing the offending party unmercifully. You're all better than that, so let's see this go off without a hitch. I have received and approved the challenger's squad for his whole challenge, and Connor's is publicly known, so the two of you send me your first choice of Pokemon and orders and we'll get this rolling!

Sorry for the long delay you two, hopefully I can keep up a better pace going forward.

Large doors creak open as ominous music plays from an unknown location, serving as artificial tension for the newly arrived trainer entering the arena. For whatever reason it sounds like a more sinister rendition of "Prince Ali" from Aladdin, but the challenger shrugs it off. Looking around, the trainer spots his soon-to-be foe, the former Ground gym leader of the league now turned Steel, and finally now to Poison as he has attained his Elite Four status. Taking a glance around the room, a holographic image presents itself before him, informing him of the details of his surroundings:

The ceiling is rather low flying, just high enough to accommodate the highest of levitators and has numerous windows pitted along the length to allow for sunlight to shine through and illuminate the surroundings. The floor itself is composed of a boggy marsh which will somewhat slow the moves of those not familiar with it. In addition, there is a faint trace of gas in the air, which will disrupt the concentration of Pokemon somewhat, weakening their Psychic moves by a slight amount.
Giving an appreciative nod, the challenger watches as the screen vanishes into thin air. The elite trainer groans as he lifts himself out of his throne, having been there for an age as this is his first real challenge to his authority. The incumbent sizes up his foe, knowing him normally to be another member of the Elite Four when not embarked on a challenge such as this. Both knowing themselves to be in for quite the challenge, they make their selections carefully, sending the capsules skyward (or ceilingward but whatever), before they crack open to reveal their choices.

On the challenger's side of the field appears Garek, a Nidoking who gives a roar as he stomps the ground beneath his feet. On the other side Del Boy the Gengar materializes, sending a chilling cackle echoing around the arena as he views his opposition. The information of both of the combatants is announced over the intercom system:

Biography: A fierce warrior, Garek has known battle all his life. But in all his time he has never understood what it meant to be called king. His evolution forced this title upon him, and he accepted it with pride, thinking that his exceptional combat skills would prove to be enough. But caring only for himself in the midst of battle caused him to become at outcast for a lengthy period of time. It took an extended time of meditation on the subject before Garek realized his mistake, that he should be using his strength not only to vanquish foes, but to protect others and himself as well. With this resolve in mind, he set forth to create a technique that would combine his relentless assault with the new defensive status he must obtain.
Hidden Power: Bug
Special Attack: Noble Bulwark (Ground)
Using significant energy, Garek creates a large brown energy barrier before himself, either holding it in place for a moment or launching it at his enemy. The bulwark can protect against a single attack, absorbing it harmlessly, though any second attack that strikes the bulwark before it reaches its intended target will cause it to shatter effortlessly and the attack to continue on its trajectory. Once the bulwark strikes its target, it shatters violently, dealing good Ground damage to the foe. Noble Bulwark is usable twice per match.

Del Boy: Uplevel Male Gengar
Gengar: Unlike its preevolutions, Gengar are primarily solid, though they are able to freely achieve all of the other states. A Gengar's Lick attack has a 50% chance to paralyze, instead of the usual 30%. Gengar can levitate and are fast and agile in the air.
Biography: Del Boy has a few set values in life which he adheres to with the greatest of importance. First and foremost of all of these is the idea that, frankly, bigger is better.
Signature Training - Bigger is Better:
Del Boy's Shadow Ball now deals Major damage for Major energy, while his Ominous Wind attack now deals Significant damage for Significant energy. Neither attacks can have their secondary effects activated.
Hidden Power: Bug
With introductions out of the way, the two give their orders to their Pokemon independently of one another, so as to not tip off one another to their plans for this current round. Their ideas clearly communicated, the plans of both trainers appear on the screens overhead to allow whatever watching audience to actually understand what is going on:

Spoiler: show

Seeing the creature he's pitted against, Del Boy quickly crafts himself a substitute to guard against whatever is about to come his way, whilst he floats off elsewhere. A seemingly wise choice, as Garek channels energy into the marshy earth beneath his feet, which rumbles with power as it works its way through the ground towards what he presumes to be Gengar at this point. From underneath the replacement, a pillar erupts upwards into the faux-Gengar, causing it to disappear and revealing the real Del Boy just a bit below and back. Positioning himself near the surface, the Gengar begins to gather ominous forces from within, and a chilling wind begins to sweep through this indoor arena. Amplified by Del Boy's particular abilities, this gale sweeps across and strikes the Nidoking, buffeting him as he lifts his arms in front of his face to help protect himself. After weathering the gust, Garek emits a high pitched screech bordering on supersonic levels that one would think couldn't come out of a creature like that, but who am I to judge I suppose. This wail irritates the Gengar to the point of confusion, leaving the ghost dazed as he floats gently in the air.

Del Boy has a small lead to start off with but nothing special, with both good for two. Connor to order.

Send a message via Skype™ to Sneaze
"Pop off another Earth Power, then soak up that wind with a Noble Bulwark before striking with it."

Due to Connor's departure and per Jeri, this match is cancelled. Sneaze, we would like to ask you to hold off on challenging another member of the Elite Four until we can find a suitable replacement, at which point you can feel free to challenge whichever member of the Elite Four suits your fancy.

EDIT: Just kidding about the last bit I'd forgotten you'd already beaten Kush. Feel free to let me know which of the two Elite Four currently remaining besides yourself (Snorby or Dave) you would like to challenge via PM/Discord/wherever (excluding Jeri since he's currently in an E4 match).
