Klefki UPN PASBL: Rotomotorz Vs Ger

Rotomotorz (C) vs. GER (A)
4v4
Doubles
Equilevel 3
Slapstick
72 HR DQ
Switch = OK
Swamp: The Swamp arena is a rather basic arena. The ground underfoot will be soft and will give way to most Pokemon with any notable weight, their movement becoming restricted as their feet sink somewhat. There are numerous small ponds interspersed throughout the arena, with water enough to conjure attacks such as Surf, as well as housing aquatic Pokemon comfortably. There are numerous trees extending upwards out of the ground. Attacks such as Bulldoze and Earthquake will suffer somewhat thanks to the softness of the ground underfoot, but there are enough rocks for attacks such as Stealth Rock to work with impunity. This arena is outdoors only.

Squad up, Rotomotorz.

Good luck ger, and thanks for picking this up Talksick.

Bringing Reaper Token
Quote:
Reaper's Token: This attachable item can only be given to Ghost type pokémon. If the pokémon wearing this token has the ability to change in to the Invisible state, they are able to do so for three turns instead of the usual two and enjoy perfect invisibility where they might usually have left an icy glimmer or some other give away. If the selected pokémon does not already possess the ability to change in to the Invisible state, they gain the ability to do so for two turns, leaving a slight give away when they do so such as the glint of an eye or the glow of an ectoplasmic body. Ghosts wearing this token are also granted an increased ability to trick their opponents. This token is available only during the Halloween sale and may be purchased by trainers up to once.
Attached to: Sword-Level 3 Male Aegislash
Sword-Level 3 Male Aegislash
Bio: For a Pokemon, Sword was always a great blacksmith. He was just an ordinary Honedge until one fateful day he found the abandoned home of a famous blacksmith who recently passed away. Intrigued, Sword entered the house only to be greeted by tons of tools used for melting, bending, cutting, and shaping metal. Utterly fascinated, Sword taught himself how to use these tools, improvising when he couldn't, and over many years became a great blacksmith in his own right. It was at that time Roto found him, and offered to take him on his journey so he could improve his technique and share his talent with the world.
Hidden Power: Water
Signature: Solder Blade(FI)
Using significant Fire energy, Sword heats up his blade to an extremely high temperature before slashing at the opponent. On contact, this attack will do cosiderable Fire typed damage, and will most likely leave a burn on the area hit, with the chance decreasing if the opponent has a hard hide or body structure. This attack can also melt weaker substances, but cannot cause fires. Sword has enough Fire energy to use this attack twice.
Attached Token: Reaper's Token

Ice Cream-Level 3 Female Vanilluxe
Bio: Always a trickster of a Pokemon, Ice Cream loved to prank anyone who wondered into her domain. Using a special technique she managed to create herself, she can lure nonsuspecting people and Pokemon into getting terrible brainfreezes. Roto found Ice Cream causing mischief throughout a city, and caught it, not deterred by the mischevious Pokemon's tricks. Since then Ice Cream has accepted Roto as her trainer, and works with Roto to use her mischief for battle.
Hidden Power: Ground
Signature Move: Freeze Cream(Typeless)
Ice Cream uses heavy typeless energy to summon an ice cream cone energy construct before moving it toward her opponent to give it to them. She can do this from a distance, and does not have to be near the cone to give it to them. This seemingly friendly gesture will cause the opponent to lower their guard, possibly interrupting an attack. Ice Cream will give the opponent the cone, watching them eat the seemingly innocent ice cream. Unfortunately for the eater, the ice cream is extremely cold and will cause the eater to take to suffer a terrible 5-7 second brain freeze, preventing them from moving or attacking similar to Disable. This attack deals no damage, and will only work once per Pokemon, who won't get fooled by the gesture the second time around

Sun-Level 3 Genderless Solrock

Gem-Level 3 Genderless Carbink

Top can now use Heat Wave.

Sword and Top, lets do it. Sword, toss a Shadow Ball at that other Aegislash, and then King's Shield one attack. Top, Drill Run into that Steelix, using your momentum to carry you further out, then Earth Power the Steelix

Round 1

Good evening lads and ladies, we are at the Swamp arena today for a doubles match. This is a special kind of match, in which as the name implies, each trainer uses two pokemon at a time. Our battlers are Rotomotorz, the steel gt and Ger, who I guess is a fan of WWE. Ger leads with an Aegislash and a Steelix, Rotomotorz with an Aegislash and a Claydol. Here is the data on these mons:

Quote:
Aegislash (Steel/Ghost): Aegislash are a possessed swords and shield, their body made entirely of the blade, making them inorganic. All attacks involving slashing get a 20% boost in power. They levitate by default, but prefer to remain still when attacking and defending. When Aegislash are sent out, they will start in Shield Forme, giving taking 80% damage from all attacks. When ordered to use any attack, they will go into Blade Forme, losing this boost. They may enter Shield Forme using a move. Defensive moves that seek to reduce damage from a move, such as Iron Defense, King's Shield or Protect will cause Aegislash to automatically enter this forme. They cannot be poisoned.

Steelix (Steel/Ground): Steelix are large Pokémon and are able to burrow through hard materials such as concrete with their Dig attack easily. They are also more resistant to extreme pressures and heat, though they take the usual damage from Fire moves. They can see in the dark. They have higher physical defence compared to other Steel-types. They are also familiar with the Rock type. In its Mega Forme, Steelix's body crystallizes, becoming even harder than steel. This gives Mega Steelix a 20% resistance to all physical moves. Due to its enormous, powerful jaw, it also gets a 10% boost to all biting moves. The crystals that encircle its body can be used for Rock attacks, reducing their energy slightly and making moves like Rock Tomb slightly sturdier. They travel with it, are completely controlled by Steelix, and will close in to prevent residual damage.

Claydol (Ground/Psychic): As they have eyes all around their heads, Claydol are almost impossible to surprise or sneak up on. They have spherical arms that are capable of firing beam attacks. These arms are not attached to Claydol's body and can be separated out a foot or so, allowing them to attack from unexpected angles. As living dreidels, techniques which focus on spinning will be quicker to use and more effective than normal when used by Claydol. They levitate by default and are inorganic.
On one side are West the Aegislash and Lee the humongous Uplevel Steelix, facing them are Sword the Aegislash and Top the Uplevel Claydol. All the pokemon levitating, except for Lee, who seems rather out of place, some parts of his serpentine body sinking in the soft ground somewhat. Sword starts the match, quickly switching into the Blade Forme as he prepares his attack. He creates a Ball of ghostly energy using* Shadows. He then sends it at the other Aegislash. But West instantly puts his Shield in between himself and the attack like a King, and the attack dissipated harmlessly. Top also decides to get in on the action. It covers it's lower body in ground energy and starts spinning like a Drill. He swiftly moves towards the Steelix, looking to Run him down. Lee is hurt by the super effective hit, but as Top tries to get away, he flashes a toothy grin. He bites onto the Claydol with his large mouth, preventing him from fleeing. He Crunches down on Top, injecting dark energy into it, before letting go.

Sword patiently waits for his opponents to attack him, while Top goes on the offensive again. It slams into the Swamp's surface, sending a stream of ground energy towards Lee. It erupts from under the Steelix in a column of Earthly Power, inflicting more pain onto him. But this is nothing compared to what Top is about to go through. Lee charges dark energy in front of his mouth. He then sends a Pulse of Darkness at the Claydol, inflicting more pain. West, who is finally ready to go on the offensive again after the side effects of his defensive technique, and switches into the Blade Forme. He creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows. He then sends it at the Claydol, and it bursts, letting out ghostly wind. Lee attacks Top yet again, this time coating its monstrous Tail in Aqua energy and slamming it into Top. West also decides to use his third move of the round. He again creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows. He then sends it at the Claydol, and it bursts, letting out ghostly wind. Top barely survives all this assault but it is clear that it isn't going to last for much longer.

Summary

Top is negligible amount of health left, Lee dropped into second-third, both the Aegislash are at full health. Lee has used up his Dark off type and has half his Water left. Top and Sword are good for two, Lee and West can also go for a two due to this being their very first round, but wouldn't mind a lighter round, sooner rather than later. Ger has used up both his Three-movers.

Ger to order.

Off to a great start guys, let's build on that. Let's put Top down with a Shadow Sneak West and then follow up with a Shadow Ball on Sword but if Top isn't down from the Shadow Sneak use the Ominous Wind on it instead of targeting Sword.

Lee let's not forget about Sword, first use DC Earthquake follow up with Earth Power of your own

Sword, Metal Sound Lee out of Shadow Sneak, while Top use Light Screen. Top, spread a Heat Wave to hit both of them while Sword go for a Solder Blade on Steelix after it uses Earth Power, passively retreating afterwards. Top, get between them and FC Explosion

Round 2

As the round starts, West quickly makes his move, planning on finishing Top of before the opposing side can retaliate. The Aegislash animates his shadow, opting to finish the Claydol off before it can do anything. The Shadow Sneaks towards Top at high speed, and before Sword can try and interrupt it, manages to strike the Claydol. It falls to the ground, looks like it can't continue any longer.

Top has been knocked out! Your next pokemon please, Rotomotorz.

Summary

Sword is good for two, Lee and West can also go for a two but wouldn't mind a lighter round, sooner rather than later.

I did ask in Ref Q/A thread if Metal Sound or Screech are fast enough to interrupt a priority move and the answer was no in vast majority of cases. Ger's Aegislash has initiative and isn't tired enough as the round before was their first round of the match for this case to be an exception.

Lawn Mower, you're up. Confuse Ray on the Lee while Sword for for a Shadow Ball on West. King's Shield an attack, but if none comes then go for another Shadow Ball on West, while Lawn Mower Spite Lee, replaced with another Confuse Ray on him instead if the first one didn't work.

Round 3

With Top down and out, Rotomotorz is already forced to send out his next pokemon. He quickly tosses a pokeball and put comes Lawn Mower the Rotom-Mow. Here is the data on it:

Quote:
Rotom [Cut Forme] (Electric/Grass): In this Forme, Rotom has possessed a lawnmower, having bonded with its electric motor. This Forme is just slightly slower than Fan Rotom, but can equal or overcome its speeds on the ground. While it can levitate, it prefers to travel along the ground, where it can use its wheels to build high speeds. Like the Fan Forme, it has a wide turning radius, even at low speeds, but it can accelerate to high speeds in a very short time. When levitating, it is unable to build or maintain this speed and cannot levitate higher than five feet. In this Forme, it charges its attacks from the hopper in the back, releasing them from its toothy mouth. This allows it to generate energy attacks from a protected point, but will leave it vulnerable for a short time when firing the attack. Attacks that hit the inner portion of the appliance will deal slightly more damage than normal. In this Forme alone, Rotom is capable of using Leaf Storm. Regardless of Forme, Rotom are inorganic and fight most enthusiastically in urban environments. They are familiar with the Ghost type.
Lawn Mower doesn't waste any time in making his move. It realises who the bigger threat is, and decides to neuter it. It sends a brilliant Ray of light towards Lee's eyes, planning to Confuse the Uplevel Steelix. It is successful as the giant snake is left befuddled, clearly succumbing to confusion. Sword also prepares his attack, his target being the opposing Aegislash. He creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows. He then sends it at West and it bursts, letting out ghostly wind, damaging him badly. Lee tries to retaliate, but the steel type is too confused to even understand the order. West sees his partner's pathetic state, and realises that it is all upto him now. He coats his blade in Bug energy and closes in on Lawn Mower. He unleashes a Fury of slashes on the Rotom-Mow like a Cutter. Lawn Mower takes the first three hits, each becoming slightly stronger than the previous one, before evading the fourth one as West slashes wildly. West's hits become weak again as it slashes two more times before stopping. He is left winded after the furious onslaught.

Seeing that Lee was successfully confused, Lawn Mower proceeds to put a powerful curse on him. It Spites him, making the the Steelix feel like it used Aqua Tail twice, draining him of a lot of water energy. Lee again tries to make his move, this time succeeding somewhat. He coats his Fangs in Ice energy and bites at Rotom-Mow, but only manages a partial due to his confused state as Lawn Mower escapes. West moves in to assault Lawn Mower again, coating his blade in Bug energy. He unleashes a Fury of slashes on the Rotom-Mow like a Cutter, but this time can only manage a couple of hits due to running out of bug energy. Seeing that no attack is coming at it, Sword finally attacks again. He creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows. He then again sends it at West and it bursts, letting out ghostly wind, hurting him badly again.

Summary

Sword again took no damage, West and Lawn Mower have both dropped into second-third, with the Rotom Forme reaching the mid point of health. Lee is out of Water energy, has used a little less than half his Ice energy, and is confused. West has ran out of Bug energy. Lawn Mower has around half Ghost remaining. West needs a break, Sword and Lawn Mower are good for two. Although Lee was able to use only one move, due to spite draining he could still use a break sooner or later but can manage a two.

Ger to order.

Sword, King's Shield Shadow Ball, then wait for after Lawn mower's Shadow Ball to use two Shadow Balls on West. Lawn Mower, Shadow Ball and then Will-o-wisp, both on West.

Side Note: shouldn't Lawn Mower have more ghost energy since he is familiar with ghost?

I give usual offtype 2 Ice Beam of energy while familiarity 3 Ice Beam. Lawn Mower has used Decent + Significant Ghost energy, so it has around half his Ghost offtype left.

Round 4

West and Lee finally decide to inflict some damage to Sword, who has been undamaged so far. West is the first one to make his move. He creates a Ball of ghostly energy using
Shadows. He then sends it at the other Aegislash. But Sword instantly puts his Shield in between himself and the attack like a King, switching to Shield forme, and the attack dissipated harmlessly. Lee is up next to attack Sword, but the Steelix succumbs to his confusion again and fails to attack. Lawn Mower sets his sight on West. It creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows. It then sends it at West and it bursts, letting out ghostly wind, damaging him badly.

Lawn Mower targets West yet again. It creates a Will-O-Wisp and sends the small and intense flame towards West. The Aegislash is hurt again, but avoids getting burnt. Sword, who is finally ready to go on the offensive again after the side effects of his defensive technique, and switches into the Blade Forme. He creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows. He then sends it at West and it bursts, letting out ghostly wind. The beat up Aegislash lets out a screech in pain, it finally understands what the opponents are trying to do. Sword again creates a Ball of ghostly energy using Shadows, and then sends it towards West. The ghost type looks in horror as it gets hit again. He collapses, obviously unable to continue.

West has been knocked out! Your next pokemon please, Ger.

Summary

No one other than West took any damage this round. Lee's confusion has weakened and will last for one more round max. Lawn Mower has a small amount of Ghost energy left, and two third of Fire energy remaining. Sword needs a break, others are good for two.

Round 5

With West down and knocked out cold, Ger sends out his next pokemon. It is Reigns the Pyroar. Here is the data on this feline:

Quote:
Pyroar (Fire/Normal): Pyroar are very proud and protective Pokémon. Though rage-inducing attacks will be more effective, they will also sharply boost their attack. Any move involving roaring or growling will be more intimidating and more effective when used by Pyroar, even those which would not normally have this effect. Their hearing is more sensitive than normal, at the expense of making them more vulnerable to sound-based status attacks. Their sense of smell is similarly enhanced, allowing them to track foes and detect true foes in a Double Team.
[Fire]: Fire-types fight most enthusiastically in hot and dry conditions. They are extremely difficult to burn and most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time. Fire-type Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short. Their Fire type moves will be hotter than normal, allowing them to inflict more potent burns with a greater frequency, and their Fire type moves will naturally have a somewhat wider spread without a loss in power.
[Normal]: Normal-type Pokémon are able to use support moves to greater effect than other Pokémon, with them being performed slightly quicker and being slightly more potent. Being beings of great balance, they benefit more from the positive effects of weather and other arena affecting moves, but will not suffer as badly from the negative effects. In the ASB, Normal-types take resisted damage from the damaging effects of Ghost-type energy.
Reigns is out here to retaliate, and doesn't waste any time in doing so. Charging a huge amount of fire energy, he exhales a widespread* Wave of superHeated air, with many small flames in it. Sword quickly realises that getting hit my that wave would be bad for both him and his partner. He quickly switches to Shield forme and erects a broad energy, Wide enough to Guard both of them. The wave collides with the protective barrier and dissipates harmlessly. Lee is the next one to attack, Sword being his target. He coats his head in energy and headbutts the Aegislash, who quickly turns ethereal as shock waves of ground energy are sent through him, as if hit by an Earthquake. That would have hurt a lot more if it wasn't for his ethereal state and Shield Forme. Lawnmower too attacks, aiming for the giant steel snake. It creates a Will-O-Wisp and sends the small and intense flame towards the Steelix. It hits Lee somways below his head on the body and causes him intense pain. Not only that, he is only left with a pretty nasty burn there.

Having the first one blocked, Reigns decides to go for the same attack again, hoping he would connect this time. He again exhales a widespread* Wave of superHeated air, with many small flames in it. This time both Sword and Lawn Mower are caught in the attack and hurt badly. Lee then Lunges at Lawn Mower. His Fangs are coated in Fire energy. The Rotom-Mow was prepared however. It counters much of the attack using some [/B]Foul Play[/B], taking much less damage from Lee's attack than it should, and damaging Lee instead. Lee looks pissed at Lawn Mower. As the round ends, the Steelix takes burn damage.

Summary

Sword is close to second third of health, Lee is not far from his final third, while Lawn Mower is already somewhat into its final third. Lee has used little more than a third Fire. Lawn Mower has used half its Dark and has a third of Fire remaining. Lawn Mower could use a break, others are good for two.

Roto to order.

Lawn Mower, Thunder Wave on Pyroar. If it works, go for a QC Substitue on Steelix, else Sucker Punch an attack from Pyroar. Sword, strike Steelix with a Sacred Sword x2, replacing one with King's Shield if he tries to physically strike you
