Whimsicott UPN PASBL Fairy Gym Match: Machamp-X vs rotomotorz

Quote:
Machamp-X vs. Rotomotorz
6v6
Singles
Slapstick
Equiall 5
48 Hr DQ
Switch=OK
Arena: Clouds of Passaj
Quote:
A large expanse of pink, solidified clouds, pierced by the tip of a mountain. Battle takes place on the clouds; the mountain is inaccessible. The arena is full of a clear pink mist, which will lower the resistance to status of all non-Fairy Pokemon. This means that inflicting status through moves such as Discharge will be easier, but it will have no effect upon the potency of the status.. The mist also has the effect of making Fairy-types more enthusiastic. The mist cannot be blown away, and it does not reduce visibility.

The cleansing effects of the arena affect Poison types adversely, and any Poison-type that is not part-Fairy will feel uncomfortable. Steel and Poison attacks are also partially absorbed by the clouds, causing a slight decrease in damage output. The clouds allow Earthquake, Bulldoze, Dig and Earth Power to pass through them. Terrain affecting Rock-type moves and other terrain affecting moves somehow work here. In the centre, upon the tip of the mountain, an indestructible, circular pool of pink water, full of energy, is placed. This pool is treated like normal water, except for the fact that Fairies are better at swimming in it than most Pokemon (excepting Water-types.)
The resident Fairy Gym Leader defends against the resident inorganic enthusiast. Given like half of this man's squad is Steel typed this'll be a rough challenge- Can Champ handle it?

Well, only one way to find out. Champ, your squad please?

Good luck, Roto, thanks, Snorby!

Quote:
Luminous Badge
Global Badge
This badge emphasizes the debilitating abilities of the owner's Pokemon, granted by energy absorbed from the surroundings, and is granted to those who can best Machamp-X in the Clouds of Passaj. The unlimited energy found in the environment is signified in the infinity symbol feeding through the luminous flower in the centre of the badge.
Badge Effect: Nature's Boon
Any status inflicted by the owner's Pokemon will be slightly more potent, but will more importantly enthuse the Pokemon which inflicted the status, giving them a boost akin to Work Up. Standard boost stipulations apply.
Quote:
====== Pixie Dust (3 SP) - This Token increases the power of Fairy type moves by 10%. It causes the move Fling to deal Fairy type damage if it is thrown.
Quote:
Candymaker's Token (10 SP) - The Candymaker's Token drips with syrupy sweet sugar and hums with the pleasant aroma of fresh baked poffins. It can be attached to Fairy-type Pokémon only and greatly enhances their natural abilities. The bearer will become acutely attuned to almost any arena and use techniques which manipulate the environment for half the usual energy cost and with much greater effectiveness than usual. Techniques which aid an allied Pokémon are similarly diminished in cost and enhanced in effect. This item causes the move Fling to deal Fairy type damage if it is thrown. This token may be purchased during the Christmas 2014 event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.
Quote:
--- Mawilite (20 SP) - This item allows Mawile to Mega Evolve into Mega Mawile when held during battle.
Level 6:
Aeria: female uplevel Clefable
Hidden Power: Ground
Signature Move: Mythical Meteor (FA)
Using major Fairy energy, Aeria summons a large, flaming meteor of Fairy energy from above her head, throwing it towards the foe, dealing high Fairy damage, with a 30% chance of burn. She loses Swagger and Hyper Beam, and no longer resists Bug, instead taking neutral damage from it.
Attached: Pixie Dust

Level 5:
Felix: male Granbull
Hidden Power: Psychic
Special Training: Close-Range Canine (FT)
Felix is now a Fairy/Fighting type, and has all the weaknesses, resistances and immunities, and Type Characteristic of the type, with the exception of Rock, which is now a neutrality. He gains the moves Drain Punch and High Jump Kick, and has unlimited type energy to use Fighting-type techniques. He loses access to Ice-type energy. He loses the fang boosting part of his SC, having neglected using them to attack, and is now easily angered, his encounter with Heatran causing this. His Fairy-type moves take 10% more energy to be used, the moves too “girly” for him to use, as he says. He loses the moves Rest and Sleep Talk, as a true warrior does not relax. He no longer resists Bug, instead taking neutral damage.

Sheba: Female Gardevoir
Hidden Power: Ground
Signature Move: Darkness Bless (DK)
Using significant Dark energy and minor typeless energy, Sheba crafts a dark-energy wall of force, blowing any loose objects such as stones backwards, and hitting the foe for significant Dark damage. This is essentially a Dark-typed Psychic (though Pursuit will not negate it) except for the fact that it does Dark-typed damage, and has a 30% chance of poisoning. Sheba has the offtype to use this move twice from her current Dark-Energy pool.
Attached: Candymaker's Token

Mia: Female Azumarill
Hidden Power: Flying

Jenna: Female Mawile
Hidden Power: Water
Special Training: Dirt Toss (GD)
Using heavy Ground energy, Jenna throws a ball of sandy dirt directly above the foe, showering them in a lot of sand to deal Significant Ground damage, with a 30% chance to cause a burn on the face of the foe, due to the intense abrasions caused by sand pouring at high speeds. Jenna has the offtype to use this move twice. Jenna loses Mega Punch.
Attached: Mawilite

Bliss: Female Togekiss
Hidden Power: Dark
Special Training: Tri-Power
Bliss’ Tri Attack has a 10% higher chance of inflicting status, and said status is slightly more potent. Loses Baton Pass and Drain Punch.

Only one fourth of my squad is actually Steel lol. Glhf Mach, and thanks Snorbs

Quote:
Metal Coat: This Token increases the power of Steel type moves by 10%. It causes the move Fling to deal Steel type damage if it is thrown.
Attached to: Gears-Level 5 Genderless Klinklang

Starter's Token: This token boosts STAB attacks by 5%. So, for example, a Charizard wearing this token token will have boosted Fire and Flying type moves. If a Pokémon has had its type changed via type, this token boosts the type(s) to which it has been changed and does not boost the type(s) which it has lost.
Attached to: Automaton-Level 6 Uplevel Genderless Golurk

Candymaker's Token: The Candymaker's Token drips with syrupy sweet sugar and hums with the pleasant aroma of fresh baked poffins. Attached to: Keyring-Level 5 Male Klefki
Magnets-Level 5 Genderless Magnezone
Bio: Magnets was an avid battler, and before Roto caught him Magnets had a lot of Electric type Pokemon who respected him. However, neither him nor his freinds ever had a way to deal with their main weakness: Ground type attacks. Magnets one day decided he had enough, and began creating a way to combat this weakness. When Roto met with Magnets, he helped Magnets perfect his technique that helps neutralize Ground type attacks.
Hidden Power: Fire
Signature: Earth Neutralizer(ST)
Using considerable energy, Magnet releases a burst of energy which sinks into the ground around Magnets' side of the field. The energy works as an entry buff, and any time an ally Pokemon is sent out, for three turns they will take neutral damage from Ground type attacks. This is does not affect Magnets unless he were to switch out and back in. This can only be used once per battle, is clearable by standard methods for entry hazards, and can only affect the number of Pokemon equal to half of the number of 'mon usable in a given battle, rounded up. Magnets loses Volt Switch.

Automaton-Level 6 Uplevel Genderless Golurk
Bio: A homs robot simply named Robot, his job was to automatically collect and refine ether cylinders for the people of Colony 6. While no one is sure as to how Robot got his sentience, he did, and soon he left, no exactly impressed with continuing the same routine here. Learning to use his ability to use ether, Robot was able to defend for himself as he traveled through space because he's a flipping giant death robot. Why Robot chose to stay in our world, no one knows that as well.
Hidden Power: Grass
Signature Move: Ether Punch[GH]
Robot gathers ether around his fist, slamming it into the opponent with a powerful punch that deals major damage for major energy. If the target not inorganic, Automaton recovers energy equal to half the damage dealt by the attack. Diminishing returns apply.
Attached Token: Starter Token

Gears-Level 5 Genderless Klinklang
Bio: As a Steel type, Gears disliked and feared fire and heat of any kind. He forced himself to take it slow, trying to generate as little heat as possible for fear it might burn him. When Roto took him in, his paranoia of fire was apparent, and so Roto devised a way to embrace it. Little by little, Roto focused on having Gears get comfortable with heat, and the way he did that was by taking him to caves of Dragon types. On his first visit, Gears could barely function, the heat and power of the dragon types making it an intimidating experience. Little by little, Roto to make Gears more comfortable in those caves. One day, he told Gears to go down to the deepest pits by himself. Holding back the discomfort, he reaced the deepest part only to find a terrible Haxorus that challenged him. Without realizing it, Gears defeated it using its own techniques, and that's when he knew that Roto's training had worked.
Hidden Power: Ground
Signature Technique: One with the Dragons
Gears is now a Steel/Dragon type, with all the resistances, weakness, and characteristics of the type, with the exception that it is still weak to Dragon(as opposed to neutral) and takes neutral from Bug(as opposed to resisting). Gears can now use Dual Chop, Dragon Pulse, and Roar of Time. Gears is only familiar with Electric instead of having unlimited Electric energy.
Attached Token: Metal Coat

Bell-Level 5 Genderless Bronzong
Bio:
Hidden Power: Fairy
Signature: None

Trash-Level 5 Male Garbodor
Bio:
Hidden Power: Dark
Signature: None

Keyring-Level 5 Male Klefki
Bio: Keyring was always a very feisty Pokemon, very much interested and participating in the art of battle. While he wasn't bad by himself, his lack of options in terms of moves left his at a considerable disadvantage against opponents who seems to have moves thrown onto them because some deity liked them more or something. Go figure. While he didn't always lose, Keyring felt ironically locked up in terms of his potential. Since his opponents had more moves then him, he resolved, he was going to last longer than them. He studied the techniques of Pokemon well versed in healing and survivability, using their wisdom to grant himself and his allies an edge in their core elements
Hidden Power: Ice
Signature:
Attached Token: Candymaker's Token

Keyring, you're in

Go, Bliss! Tri Attack, then Confide them out of an attack. If they are paralyzed, replace the latter with a Light Screen.

Round 1:

Two trainers walk silently onto the clouds they are greated by a young man whom sadly is unable to referee for them but he lays the ground work for them to begin their showdown! Soon after a tall red haired man walks in he signals that he will be taking over the match and he introduces the combatants to each other. On one side the resident Inogranic pokemon enthusiast on the other the fairy gym leader, the two opt to use all 6 of their pokemon in this match. Let the showdown begin!

Roto steps forwards and lets loose his first pokemon Keyring the Klefki! Seeing her foes selection Champ release Bliss the Togekiss as her first champion.

Quote:
Klefki (Steel/Fairy): Klefki collect a large variety of keys on their ring, never letting them go. They can use them to attack physically or jangle them to create a loud sound to threaten or distract foes. Klefki levitate by default. Due to being a living keyring, they are inorganic. Natural pranksters, they use non damaging moves that target the foe faster than usual.

[Steel]: Steel-type Pokémon generally have tempered bodies, meaning they take slightly reduced damage from physical attacks. Their Steel type attacks are more proficient at cutting through energy, allowing them to reduce damage while breaking through them, unlike other Pokémon. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible, though they are not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are. Most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones. Steel-types are resistant to XX and take neutral damage from the damaging effects of Normal-type energy in the ASB, as opposed to resisted damage in the games. They are immune to the damaging effects of Poison-type energy and are difficult to poison.

[Fairy]: Fairy-types are generally pure hearted and gregarious. They prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically in them, but they will not be off put by urban environments. Any attack used by a Fairy-type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. They are immune to the damaging effects of Dragon-typed energy.

-----
Togekiss (Fairy/Flying): Despite their appearance, they are fast and agile fliers. Togekiss are also capable of minimal levitation, allowing them greater stability. Togekiss can be trained only by trainers that make them happy, so Return is more powerful when used by one. They are incredibly chirpy and enthusiastic Pokémon, and will entrance opponents more readily when using attacks like Charm and Sweet Kiss, being significantly more potent. These moves will also function better in Contests when used by Togekiss.

[Flying]: Flying-type Pokémon are faster and more agile in their chosen mode of transportation than other Pokémon. Because of their skill in controlling their movement, they are more difficult to evade when using physical moves and more likely to succeed in dodging attacks. This also means that they are much harder to knock off course after gathering momentum. They are also more adept at commanding the wind, and they can use these attacks with slightly less energy than normal. Flying type Pokémon are affected normally by the damaging effects of Ground-typed energy and take neutral damage from Ground type moves in the ASB. They fight more enthusiastically in spacious arenas but are not put off by cramped conditions.
The two pokemon appear in flashes near their trainers. Both looking ready to fight. A whistle is blown and the two pokemon float up into the air to begin this fight!

Bliss begins to gather up energy the energy hissing with the sounds of electricity, fire and ice all mixed into one attack orbs begin to circle around Bliss as she gathers her energy. She takes aim and fires upon Keyring. The hissing sounds continue as the orbs get closer and closer together before striking Keyring for some damage however he somehow avoids all statuses which could be inflicted by the attack! He floats wearily backing away slightly from the togekiss as he too begins to gather some energy.

Keyring looking to try to gain some sort of early advantage over Bliss fires off a reflective ball of steel. The ball reflecting the natural light within the arena as it flies towards Bliss, however while it flies forwards the natural energies within the arena sapping away some of the power from the steel typed attack. Despite the weakened state the steel ball collides Bliss full on as her eyes are bothered by the reflection of light off the ball. She is hit with the super effective steel attack and lets out a small cry of pain however she looks down upon her foe ready to make him regret ever coming here.

Bliss flies down towards Keyring eager to see her foes next move in an effort to interrupt it. Bliss notices her foe beginning to calm his mind as he does so she confides in him the two attacks cancelling each other out with Keyring gaining no boost but finding no decrease in his strength. The two float apart as the first round comes to a close.

Both sides took a strong hit each yet they have so far to go left. Bliss will have trouble seeing due to the mirror shot. Both are good for two.

Round 2: I have you now

Due to the passing of Carrie Fisher this match will now have star wars themed titles.

-----

The inorganic master knows his foe has great potential with the togekiss' potential for status and plots a way to eliminate the flying fairy quickly... but first he must trap it

Keyring knowing his master has a plan begins to use energy to lock Bliss into the arena this fairy lock prevents the Togekiss from escaping the battlefield! Bliss feels her foe locking her in however knows that her foe has mastered non-damaging moves and there would have been no escape from the keyring. Instead she uses some of her psychic energy to summon forth a screen of light powerful to block any special force like attacks! The clear yellow pane looks similar to the shield doors on Naboo in phantom menace except yellow.

Keyring sees the pane of light however his master has asked him to send a cannon flashing at Bliss so he gathers steel energy and fires the flash cannon at the light screen, the arena sapping away some of the attacks power as it collides with the screen causing some cracks to appear but it holds strong as the Togekiss gathers energy firing off a tri energied attack like the previous round at her foe the tri attack collides with Keyring dealing some damage to the steel typed pokemon and leaving him with a nasty burn on his chest. Bliss smiles as she feels her masters badge giving her more power and enthusiasm. Keyring feels his burn across his front acting up.

Bliss went unharmed. Keyring took a sizeable hit and is nearing the end of the first. Both good for two. Bliss used nearly half of her psychic energy.

Round 3: The Blockade

Bliss feeling quite empowered from the effects of her masters amazing badge looks down upon Keyring the burnt Klefki increasing her powers just by being under the effects of the status. She smiles as she begins her attacks.

Bliss moving around with a clear enthusiastic nature about her she quickly settles down a little and uses energy to increase her special attack stat nastily plotting her foes demise. Bliss smiles as the power of the boost increases her powers even more. Meanwhile Keyring sees what is occurring and uses some psychic energy to create a light screen in front of him shielding himself from future special based attacks! Hoping it will be enough the Keyring pokemon sits and awaits his foes next attack as he slowly advances upon his fairy typed foe.

Bliss sees her foe approaching gathers a very familiar tri-coloured energy infront of her the hissing sound of the electricity ice and fire only grows as the energy does, Bliss sends the energy forwards it collides with the light screen causing large cracks to appear throughout it but not enough to break it. It is clear that Bliss has an immense amount of power at the moment. Keyring not fearing his foe advances forwards and begins playing roughly with Bliss shattering her light screen and dealing a sizeable chunk of damage to the Togekiss whom will feel unwilling to attack her foe at the start of the next round. Keyring cringes from the burn on his chest.

Keyring evened up the playing field. Both would prefer a one mover next round. Bliss has a very large boost to her special attack.

True, but fliers generally go higher than levitators though. Togekiss isn't stated to be a bad flier, either.

Ok so, due to the height ceiling difference Keyring will still hit Bliss, but for a small partial and bliss will not be under the adverse effects of play rough. She now holds a small but evident lead over Keyring

Round 4: Best Star fighter in the galaxy

Keyring sees his foe the fellow fairy type pokemon reaping the rewards of her masters badge he decides to take this round easy to avoid over exertion

Keyring looks upon Bliss gathering steel energy the energy shining and quite flashy. He sends the flash cannon at Bliss the arena absorbing some of the energy as it flies forwards towards Bliss. However Bliss uses a flying typed fly to raise herself up into the air dodging the large majority of the cannon before flying down and striking Keyring's Light screen shattering it before colliding with Keyring dealing some damage to him.

Keyring decides this is a good time to relax and chooses to not attack his foe again. However Bliss isnt done allowing flames to build up in her mouth she unleashes them upon Keyring in a flamethrower dealing a very large super effective hit to Keyring however no further status occurs. Keyring cringes from the burn.

Bliss took a small hit. Keyring dropped blow the midpoint. Bliss needs a break and has half her fire left. Keyring is good for two.

I had nothing to do and Togekiss was tiring. How did I not even manage a partial?

We're close enough that I can't get a partial a flamethrower while he's tiring but far enough I can't get a full hit on Play Rough? Pardon me but that seems a little bit inconsistent

You couldnt get a full hit from play rough due to flight ceilings, Bliss had just struck Keyring with fly she isnt going to run away then send a flamethrower. She was essentially at point blank range for flamethrower
