Wobbuffet UPN PASBL: Gym Match - Psychic Gym Leader Snorby versus Heather!

All is quiet in the Room of the Enlightened. The cold, green painted steel walls reflect beautifully on the matching, polished steel flooring, giving this otherwise bland and metallic laboratory a slight burst of life and brilliance. Overhead, a large circular indentation is etched into the ceiling, giving shape to to the room's acclaimed Eye of Enlightenment. However, it stays firmly shut as of this moment, at the will of its owner. For off to the far corner of the room sleeps the current Psychic Gym Leader, Mean Mr. Snorlax, hung over the desk in a quiet snooze. Atop his desk lies a plethora of research notes, as well as a laptop, currently resting in sleep mode, mirroring its owner. This desk is clearly an outlier in the room, the room itself being rather empty for a lab, though odd machines dot the room, somewhat relieving this awkward emptiness. For a few more minutes, time passes in the room silent, with but the occasional soft whimper from a sleeping MMS. Then, a loud notification ping breaks the silence, snapping the slumbering Gym Leader back to reality. Quickly shaking off the drowsiness with a cup of tea, MMS smiles, the particular ping only occurring for one distinct reason: A new challenger approaches.

Stepping from the warp panel, Heather gazes upon the short but daunting hallway with a shiver. Hung in orderly fashion are framed prints of the Gym Leader's accomplishments in PASBL thus far, with such accolades like the bestowing of the Electric Gym standing out. Truly, her opponent is an experienced battler. Shaking off the chills, Heather quickly snaps back to her previous demeanor. She knew this would be no easy challenge for sure, but she has what it takes. She can do it. So what if he has experience? It will mean all the more when she rips the badge from his freshly approved gym. Walking with confidence in her step, she strides down the hall, coming to a stop at the door. A cheekily placed doormat underneath her feet reads "Just come on in, I won't Bite lmao." Raising an eyebrow at the pun, she reaches for the door handle. Of course he won't bite, he's the Psychic Gym Leader. Bite's a dark typed attack, at least in the handhelds.

"Ah, evening Heather. I was expecting you, you know. Psychic intuition or the such."

This statement prompts another raised eyebrow from Heather, knowing the truth. The attendant told her but an hour prior that the Gym Leader would be pinged upon a challenger's arrival. Seeing his lady slaying skills will have no effect on this lass, MMS quickly pops a sheepish grin, following with another statement.

"Alright, well judging by the look on your face the attendant let you in on my little secret. A bit of a let down, but eh. In any case, welcome to the Room of the Enlightened!"

Quote:
The Room of the Enlightened
The Room of the Enlightened appears to the untrained eye to be nothing more than a standard if rather empty looking laboratory. The steel walls and floors are surprisingly manipulable, with them being about as manipulable as clay despite appearing and feeling like Steel. The arena about 20 by 20 feet with a ceiling about 20 feet in the air and several strange looking machines dotting the floors that can be used for cover.

Upon looking to the ceiling, however, one will see a massive, glowing blue eye on the ceiling. Its purpose is to enlighten all Psychic-types within the arena, making them feel as if they've locked on to any and all opponents with Miracle Eye. The eye lights the arena, shining down an incredibly bright blue light that makes Pokemon who have a natural affinity to darkness and are more comfortable or can see in the dark quite uncomfortable, even reducing the accuracy of their attacks somewhat as they have trouble adjusting to the bright light.

The eye, however, can be forced to close if it takes extreme damage during a single round. If this occurs, it will close for the rest of that round and remain closed for the following round, opening again at the very end of the round after it was closed. When the eye is closed, all the effects of the blue light, from the lowered accuracy for those unenlightened to the effects of Miracle Eye, automatically disappear until the eye is open once again, at which point the effects return.
After giving the room a look, Heather comes to the conclusion that the room is in fact, rather bland, MMS really needing a proper interior designer, though the machines do stand out as interesting. Getting the gist of her thoughts on it through her expressions, Snorby quickly chimes in another response.

"Alright, alright, yes it appears a tad plain. It's what I call home though, and it's perfect for me and my Psychic Typed Pokemon."

Paying attention to every detail, Heather thinks she catches a quick, mischievous glare in Snorby's eyes upon his mentioning of "appears a tad plain," though it might have been the light off his glasses. Just to be safe though, she goes with the safe assumption that not all is as it seems. Perhaps playing up the innocent facade, MMS then pops a wide smile, dropping yet another line of dialogue into this already long and convoluted introduction.

"Now now, let's go over again what the rules for our little battle are again. A refresher, if you will."

Quote:
Snorby (GL) vs Heather (O)
4v4
Equiall 6
Strict 1 Week DQ (No, really.)
Switch = OK
His smiling demeanor quickly changes to that of a twisted and cynical scientist, a crooked smirk spreading across his face. With an adjustment of his glasses with one hand, and a snap towards the ceiling with his other, he shouts,

"Well then, how about we get straight to the main event!"

Following this, the large eye opens with a loud and audible blink, a bright blue light shining down across Snorby's back and onto Heather's face. She smiles in spite of the bright light, successfully guessing that something was up. Perhaps there's even more to this arena than meets the eye.

Good shit Crys. Thanks for reffing, mate.

Well, Heather. Let's see what you've got, hmm? Good luck!

Bringing the Metagrossite and the Buffer Badge

Buffer Badge
Global
The Buffer Badge is bestowed upon all those strong enough in both mind and body to overcome the Gym of Enlightenment. The badge itself is a translucent, blue pane of glass that rests atop a similarly translucent pink cube. Light refracts off of the badge when looked at from most angles, and the badge has a strange effect in that it will repel slightly from your hand, just barely grazing the palm rather than resting comfortably.
Badge Effect: Screen Enhancement
When the Buffer Badge is in use, the owner's Pokemon will all find themselves more adept at using the moves Reflect, Light Screen, and Barrier. Cubic Screens will last for an extra two rounds, while Pane Screens are now able to take an additional light amount of damage before shattering. All screens will also go up instantaneously, similar to the abilities of a Mr. Mime.

Iunno: Level 6 Male Sigilyph
HP Fighting
Special Attack: Sand Shot (GD)
Iunno quickly blasts the target with a concentrated shot of sand, dealing Significant Ground Damage for Major energy. This technique is performed with about as much speed as an Ice Shard and can cause Electric attacks to refract away if it comes in contact with one. This move can be used twice per battle.

Nova: Level 6 Genderless Starmie
HP Grass
Special Training:
Nova can now use the moves Shadow Ball, Mud Bomb, and Lava Plume. She can use Mud Bomb thrice and the other two twice per battle. Nova may no longer use Psyshock and Aurora Beam.

Mercury: Level 6 Male Gallade
HP Fairy
Special Training: Don't Stop Me Now! [XX]
Mercury's Special Attacks hit Ghosts as though they're in the ethereal state, and his Physical Attacks hit Ghosts as though they're in the solid state. Mercury cannot use Thief, Shadow Sneak, Disarming Voice, Dazzling Gleam, Magical Leaf, Psyshock, and Secret Power, however.

Clee: Level 6 Genderless Claydol
HP Fighting
Special Attack: Obligatory Heat Wave Joke (FI/GD)
Clee can now use the move Heat Wave. This Heat Wave will shatter all screens, cubic and pane, it comes in contact with. This may also be used as a Ground-Typed Attack, ordered as Ground!Heat Wave. Neither version of Heat Wave has any chance to burn the opponent. The fire version may be used twice per battle. Clee never learned Rock Tomb or Psyshock.

Soto: Level 5 Male Mr. Mime
HP Rock
Special Training: Master Mime [PS]
Soto's Barrier, Light Screen, and Reflect attacks all cost 10% less energy to perform. Soto may no longer use Mega Punch and Psybeam.

Foo: Level 6 Genderless Metagross
HP Grass
Metagrossite Attached
Special Attack: Tactical Retreat (ST)
Using Heavy Steel energy, Foo slams one of his legs into the ground, creating a shock wave that will strike the opponent. This will drop both their physical and special defenses by one stage, though the attack deals no damage. This drop fades the same way any other would. Foo uses leftover energy to switch out for a teammate, even if the match is Switch = KO. Alternatively, Foo may use this attack directly on the opponent, rushing them and striking them directly, for the same effects. This is a rather fast attack and its therefore difficult to outpace. If the attack does not affect the opponent, Foo will still switch out, but the attack instead costs Major energy.

SQUAD TIMES OF AWESOME, EQUIALL 6 EDITION:

Tar'ka, Level 6 Escavalier Female
"I'll be a powerful knight! Just watch me!"
No Attachables: HP Unassigned
Tar'ka always strives to be a knight. She's always on the lookout for Shelmet in hopes of gaining their armor and evolving as soon as possible. She simply cannot wait to have her arm spears, she tells me, so she created a move of her own that works now, and will take full advantage of her spears later.
Signature Move: Spear Volley (ST)
Using Significant Steel energy, Tar'ka creates spear-shaped constructs around the horn on her head, and launches them at the opponent, five in all. These strike the opponent for, altogether, Considerable Steel Damage. If aimed properly, the spears may inhibit movement for a round (or two, depending on the severity of the injury and how vital the area struck is to movement), but of course this does not happen against harder bodied things or against foes that move like a Magnezone, Chandelure, or Voltorb might. When Tar'ka becomes Escavalier, the volleys will be in sets of two a la Twineedle, with no changes to energy use or damage output. This is purely visual, and changes nothing about the attack's speed or accuracy.

Archduke Nathan, Level 6 Beedrill Male
The personal companion to the son of a petty-King from a far-off land, Nathan, like his partner, trained in the arts of nature magic as druids. Taking inspiration from his companion, the royal son focused his talents on controlling swarms of bees. The Beedrill itself had no natural control of this kind, but learned it in due time. It was then time for the next skill, vines, when the pair's hometown was overrun and sacked by a rebellion. The pair fought adamantly, but the Beedrill's partner died in the conflict-unable to wear metal armor, he had been an easy target. The Beedrill took up his partner's name and title as he fled. Somehow, he and Sigma seem to know each other...
Signature Training: Druid Arts
Nathan has gained the ability to use Attack Order, Defend Order, and Heal Order, as well as Grass Knot. However, Nathan takes 1.1x damage from all Steel moves, cannot use Iron Defense, and will be unable to use his gained moves for a turn after being hit with a Steel Move, and steel moves will make standing orders for those moves fail.
HP: Water

Marshie, Level 6 Pink Winged Mothim Female
"Sugar, spice, and everything nice!"
No Attachables: HP: Unassigned
Biography: Marshie's parents were attacked before her egg even hatched, leaving their whereabouts unknown. Her egg was found by a colony of Swirlix and Slurpuff. Noting that the little baby Burmy needed a coat of some kind when she hatched, the Swirlix used their sweet strings to wrap up the little one. However, Marshie got a taste of the substance - and with it, a taste for it. The Swirlix got a little frustrated seeing all the little nibbles in her coat, but it all paid off when she evolved. Rather than orange, her wings were a brilliant pink, and with the help of her foster family, she could do things no other Mothim could. She was like no other Mothim ever seen before-her upbringing had changed who she was forever-she carries an enthusiastic, upbeat disposition in battle, and a few other things...
Type Change: Sweetest Thing (Bug/Fairy)
Marshie is now classified as the Bug/Fairy Type, with the appropriate typechart effects and infinite Fairy Type energy. She retains familiarity with flying, but also the weakness to Electric attacks. She did not, however, learn any poison attacks, Ominous Wind, or Twister. With her upbringing come the moves Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast, and Misty Terrain.

Audrey, Level 6 Wormadam-Steel Female
"I seek power over the forces of nature!"
No Attachables: HP: Unassigned
Bio: Audrey was born in the wilds between a vast forested labyrinth and an ancient ruin filled with seemingly anachronistic technologies. Audrey gathered her cloak from little scraps she found in the ruins, but she got lost, and found the ruin to be populated with incredibly dangerous beasts. Her desperate fight for survival led to her evolution. One day, however, some explorers found her when they saved her from almost certain death. She refused to leave the group, and they took her along. One member of the group took a particular liking to her, a young blonde boy, an alchemist with the capability to bend forces of nature. Upon seeing some of the powers Audrey had at her disposal, the young alchemist decided to teach her some of his own powers.
Signature Training: Formula Mastery
Audrey gains access to the moves Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Water Pulse, getting the energy to use each twice per battle. In return, she didn't learn Stealth Rock, Shadow Ball, Gunk Shot or Venoshock.

Weaver, Level 6 Ariados Female
"My threads are my best friends!"
No Attachables: HP: Unassigned
Bio: Weaver was born in a farm, where her silk was regularly harvested. While she lived there, she realized that she could mix her silk with her venom when she did so accidentally, or, at least when the farmer had a nasty reaction to the poisoned thread and threw her out. Now that she is aware of her capability, Weaver seeks to capitalize on its use in battle.
Signature Training: Poisoned Silk
With the use of 10% additional energy, Weaver can use any of her string-based moves with her specialty poisoned silk. The string will irritate the skin of organic non-Poison types immediately as if burned (but not doing any passive damage as a real burn would) and has a 15% chance to inflict standard poison with sustained contact. She cannot use Venom Drench, Fell Stinger, or Bounce.

Glorysteed, Level 6 Shiny Scolipede Male
HP: Fighting

Let's start this off, hopefully the right way. Saddle up, Glorysteed!

Mercury, let's have some fun.

Begin with a Mean Look. Keeping your distance, fire off a ranged Psycho Cut. Do what you can to keep a machine betwixt yourself and your opponent at all times.

Round One: Scolipede verse Gallade

For a moment, Heather mulls over her options...What Pokemon should lead her road to conquest? She eventually comes to a conclusion, and with a smile, plucks a Poké Ball from her bag. Uttering the name "Glorysteed", she releases the ball into the air, and from that ball comes forth a large centipede-like creature, known and feared as a Scolipede. The Megapede twitches with anticipation, letting out a booming and nightmarish roar towards the Gym Leader, one mighty enough for MMS' hair to stand on end. However, it was all within his calculations, and nearly instantly, his champion, a Gallade by the name Mercury. A noble but prideful species, Mercury scoffs at the monstrosity of a bug. Slaying such creatures are below him, what could his owner be thinking? The orders of his trainer ring through his thoughts however, and he quickly shakes off his doubts. Snorby picked him first for a reason, after all.

Quick to respond to his trainer, Mercury glares down his foe, issuing a challenge becoming of his knightly personality. Glorysteed shall not leave this field, not until he mounts that damn excuse for a steed himself. Glorysteed, however, is completely unfazed by his challenge and gaze, roaring back as he arches back on his hind legs, swinging his multiple claws in the air. Such a response surprises Mercury, having not expected such liveliness and bloodlust in response to his challenge. It was meant to intimidate the foe, after all. He smiles, coming to the realization that Glorysteed likely did not plan to flee at all, the Megapede rather wanting to rip several holes into his body. Such a challenge might not have been necessary on his end at all. Even so, the Gallade decides to finish his technique and cover the Scolipede in a bright blue aura, preventing any recall entirely. Never hurts to have some reassurance, just in case. Looking up and down its long body, the Scolipede utters what to some might be a screech of worry, such a bright blue aura associated often with Psychic Typed attacks. However, the aura soon fades, and, realizing that he felt no pain from whatever technique his foe used, that screech of worry is quickly followed with several clicks of disappointment. It was some sort of trick! He will rip the Gallade in two for such cowardice, especially after starting with a worthless display of chivalry, but chivalry none the less. For a moment he wonders how to begin torturing the knight, until hearing his trainers first order. Eyes narrowing, Glorysteed makes what one might interpret as a wide, evil smile. He agrees with his trainers orders, even if they aren't to Megahorn the Gallade's face. An order for a long and slow hunt, one to tear down the prey over time, ruining his spirit and trashing his new arena. With a shudder, his long body convulses, drawing from deep within his poison sacs to bring out a toxin most vile, one sure to sully the Gallade. His claws begin to move rapidly, forming a large orb of purely poisonous energy. With a blood-curdling screech directed towards the knight, he releases the orb from his grasp, launching it at, oddly enough, the ground. At first, a waste of energy to the Gallade, but too late the knight realizes what the Scolipede's game is, seeing the orb split into a plethora of toxic spikes. From these spikes emit a gas most vile, poisoning the very air Mercury breaths in. Coughing and sputtering, Mercury takes a knee and groans as he feels the toxin seeping deep into his system.

Standing back up with a newfound rage, Mercury begins to funnel a fair deal of energy into one of his bladed arms. His arm glowing with a familiar bright blue aura, the knight yells a psychotic battle cry as he slashes his appendage, the energy releasing from his arm and flying quickly across the field as a thin yet deadly cut of energy. Glorysteed, recognizing the attack as highly dangerous, opts for immediate defensive maneuvers, though not that of dodging. No, he wants to show the Gallade his attacks mean nothing to him. Thus, he near instantaneously creates a bright green shield to surround his being. The slice of psychic energy cuts into the shield with an audible slash, but the shield absorbs the attack, leaving the Scolipede left unharmed and smirking. The Gallade's face contorts with rage, an audible mumble of Pokemon profanity slipping from its lips. Clearly, it's not pleased about Scolipede's display of strength. Suddenly, it coughs in a fashion similar to but a few moments ago, Scolipede's toxins fast at work. Though the knight knows it has the advantage, it certainly doesn't feel like it.

Mercury suffered the only damage this round, and chip damage at that. He suffers from poisoning, a regular toxin rather than one a move such as Toxic might induce. Glorysteed suffered no damage, but may not switch. Both Pokemon are fairly fresh, having uses nearly the same amount of energy. It is anyone's match at this point. Heather is to order.

Pop off a Quick-Charge Substitute before she can even think, then blast her with a Psychic Wave.

Round Two: Scolipede versus Gallade

Mercury still shudders with anger, his fists trembling. More than anything, he wishes to give into his primal urges, to slice up the bug into several pieces, and force feed each piece to the bug. Meet the centipede's primitive nature with his own. He knows better however, and, attempting to compose himself, readies himself for his trainer's next order. It's an incredibly smart one, as expected from his master. Immediately, he begins to sacrifice a portion of his health and energy to create a particularly deceptive substitution. It looks like him, moves like him, acts like him, and it also puts a mental block on the opponent, though Mercury himself does not know why. He does not particularly care either, the investment serving its purpose without him needing to. With his copy set, he stealthily begins to move away from it, and just in time, too. For coming straight at the clone is the behemoth of a centipede Glorysteed, aiming likely to run what would have been him over. The Megapede weaves through the lab machinery, and, to Mercury's surprise, does not run over the clone, stopping just short of the substitution's face. Rather, the Scolipede's throat begins to throb, and from its mouth spits a mix of saliva and toxin. Right into the clone's face. Mercury is, understandably, quite disgusted and appalled. It planned to spit in his face. HIS face. An anger unlike any he's had before rises deep from within him. That mongrel planned to ruin his complexion. It must die.

Glorysteed is however unaware entirely of Mercury's anger, the clone simply staring back with a blank expression as the acid drips down its face. Though Glorysteed expected his spit to be met with disgust and spasming, the Gallade seems to be frozen with shock. Quite odd, especially since the toxin he just spat should have caused Mercury to break down crying in pain. He supposes though that his reaction is not outside the realm of possible responses. Perhaps the knight is tougher than he thought. Good on the Gallade, it will make his end all the more enjoyable. Hmm...maybe another toxin will get a better reaction out of him. Yes, that's probably it. Thus, Glorysteed feeds his next selected toxin into his claws, and begins to fuel energy into them. As he steps back, the toxins swirl and bubble, forming a vile concoction of energy and poison. This poison will hopefully shock Mercury out of his...well, shock. Hmm. Perhaps that does not work. Glorysteed will need to work on his thought process next time. With a sudden jolt, he launches the concoction forward, the mass sinking into the Gallade, knocking him of his feet. Glorysteed begins to do a clap of glee, but stops as he notices something is amiss. The body was just on the floor there. Right there. Where did the Gallade go? He did not misplace the knight, no, it cannot vanish in the single blink of an eye. Where is it? Where. As the Scolipede begins to swivel around, he is hit with a large blast of Psychic Energy, nearly knocking him off his feet. The desk near him is not as lucky, several papers flying off the desk, one of them flying into his face. Blowing the paper off his face with a mad huff, he becomes enraged, seeing the knight across the way from him. The realization dawns on him from this, as the Gallade should be both on the floor and its face burning, not perfectly fine away from where it was. The Gallade he attacked was not real, it was a trick, a scam, an illusion! Glorysteed roars his loudest yet. In response, Mercury taps his face, of which an angry yet cheeky smirk is upon. A taunt: Glorysteed will have to do better than that if it wants to mark his face.

Gallade leads in health by a significant deal, but the two remain rather close ever still. Energy is close as well, and both are good for two. MMS is to order.

Round Three: Scolipede versus Gallade

Twitching with rage, Glorysteed stands ready to completely shred the Gallade into pieces. Yet, he still has control of his emotions ever so slightly. He is not angry enough to completely lose it...or at least, he wasn't. For but a moment later, Mercury begins a series of provocative and obnoxious taunts and movements, causing the Megapede to completely lose it, entering a tunneling state of rage. All his focus is on hurting Mercury, and he will settle for nothing else. With a burst of speed, he leaps over a desk and launches himself at the knight in a fit of blind rage, pinning the fighter beneath him. Glorysteed absolutely rips into him with several kicks and stabs, releasing all of his frustration on the maniacally laughing knight beneath him. For several additional moments this behavior continues, until the Megapede hears orders from its trainer to spit in the Gallade's face again. No. He will not do that, he already tried that. He must hurt the knight immediately, make him bleed. The poison will bring him pain, but it is not the kind of pain he wants to inflict. In a shocking display of disobedience, he acts against his trainer's will, getting off the Gallade and curling into a ball. Mercury begins to stand upright, thinking himself to be fine, until the Scolipede starts spinning. Oh, does it spin. With a quick burst of speed, Glorysteed runs Gallade clean over, steamrolling him into the floor of the lab with a sickening crunch, the Megapede weighing near triple Mercury's weight. Mercury lets loose an audible gasp of pain, saliva spraying from his mouth. That attack hurt a fair bit, and to make matters worse, the damn centipede still stands partially atop him. He needs to get him off, fast. He has just the idea how to, as well. After quickly gathering a significant amount of Psychic Energy, he launches the energy forth in a wave, blowing the Scolipede off of him. Glorysteed is blown a few meters away, knocked off his feet. The two stand near in sync, and shake themselves off. Glorysteed, free of his fit of rage, snorts as he's reprimanded by his trainer for his act of disobedience. Mercury on the other hand is not feeling too hot, the poison within him causing additional damage to his system. Despite this, he stands ready to fight, knowing that even though he took a beating, he's still in the lead.

Gallade took a beating, but remains in the lead, even if by a somewhat close amount. He stands just outside the second third, and is good for two due to his fighting characteristic, though he still would appreciate a break soon. Scolipede has entered the second third, and would like a break soon, though a light two is somewhat within the realm of possibility.

Venoshock. Throw in a Poison Tail if you're feeling up to it.

Gallade Round Four: Scolipede versus Gallade

The two combatants stare each other eye to eye, looking for any openings. Glorysteed is the first to act, aiming to give the Gallade a taste of one of the techniques his copy took prior. Moving his claws in the old familiar way, he creates a sizable conglomerate of toxin and energy, struggling to keep the mass together ever so slightly. He fuels it until he can no longer control it, and, rushing forward, throws the goop at Mercury, the mass of toxins splattering all over the Gallade's body. These particular toxins cause a violent and shocking reaction, causing Mercury to spasm in pain. Though he wishes to curse out to the Scolipede, he bites his tongue. The time is not right for that, no, not just yet. Soon though, very soon, for his trainer has a fantastically calculated plan of attack this round: type spam that fucker into the wall. Carrying out the first step, Mercury gathers a significant amount of Psychic Energy into his very being, and with a mental push, unleashes it towards his foe in a wave. The wave of Psychic Energy strikes Glorysteed, sending the Megapede flying into the back of one of the nearby lab machines with an audible crack, though Mercury is not sure whether it was the exoskeleton of the centipede cracking or the machine. To be honest, he doesn't really care either, since none of the injuries sustained in the match actually carry over nor even matter. Realistic matches are long dead, after all.

Picking himself back up, Glorysteed stands with an old familiar urge: to beat things with its horns. This time however, they shall not be the horns on his head. No, rather, the horns on its ass. Truly, there is no gesture more offensive than slapping your opponent with your ass spikes. So, running up to the Gallade, Glorysteed does just that, though the spikes are coated with Poison Energy for an extra bang. He was aiming for the Gallade's face, but Mercury simply would not allow such a thing, the spikes scrapping down his torso instead. Still, the gesture was received, and surprisingly not with anger, no, more of disgust and disappointment. Truly, the centipede must have reached the bottom of his barrel to resort to such techniques. With a quick wave of his arm, Mercury blasts the Scolipede back, the movement having released a burst of Psychic Energy. The Megapede flies back, crashing through one of the laboratory tables. With a sigh, Glorysteed begins to rise back up, thinking the bombardment this round over, but to his dismay, Mercury stands towering over his broken body. Glorysteed lets out a final screech of defiance as he is silenced by yet another force of Psychic Energy, one which crushes him into the floor with a sickening yet satisfying crunch. Mercury stares down at the unconscious centipede beneath him, looking for any signs of movement. He sees none however, and with a heavy sigh, slides down onto his bottom, exhausted yet victorious.

Glorysteed is unable to continue battling! Heather, please select your next Pokemon.

Mercury has passed the midpoint of health and is exhausted. Still suffers from poisoning. MMS has one three mover remaining.

Ahuhuhuhuhu~ It's time!
Weaver, dear, tie him up with a Poisoned String Shot for being such a naughty opponent, make sure those arms are all trussed up tightly! Then let him really feel the hurt with a Double Dose of Venoshock.

Three confirmed, and some new music.

Pop off a Pane Reflect, allowing it to soak up everything in all its badge!instantaneous glory. Follow with a Pain Split.

You'll get your break soon, buddy.

Round Five: Gallade versus Ariados

With a heavy heart, Heather recalls her fallen steed. Such high hopes for him, only for him to fall short to type spam. Oh well, his failure was not completely in vain, the Gallade having sustained a considerable amount of damage in their short yet violent brawl. Heather is a clever girl however, and notices in particular the fact that the Gallade is rather exhausted. She has a Pokemon designed by nature to finish off weakened and tired foes. With a smile, she selects her next Pokeball from her bag, and releases the ball into the air. From the ball springs forth an Ariados by the name of Weaver, who, after seeing her foe rather exhausted and bruised, clicks happily, ready to envelop her newfound prey in her web.

Quick to advance, Weaver rushes towards the Gallade, who at this point begins to rise, and she starts to envelop him in a sticky and poisonous spider silk. Mercury quickly begins to panic as the string begins to tie up his arms and torso, and in an act of desperation, creates a hard, reflective pane in front of him, which cuts the line between the string and Weaver. Weaver clicks with disappointment at this development, though is not entirely displeased, having managed to at least wrap up a small part of him. From behind the hard-light wall, Mercury lets loose a heavy sigh, his trainer's standard only barely having been able to beat out his exhaustion. Looking down at his torso, he tries to move his arms. They are not completely tied down to his side thanks to the spikes in his front and back, allowing him wiggle room, though they are still bound down. He may have to utilize a sharp technique to break that string.

After a few seconds, the screen simply is too much for Weaver. It reflects the light off the eye above, casting an obnoxious blue pain in her eyes. The screen must go, yes. Prey is behind the screen, hiding, yes. Creeping up to the Reflect pane, she taps it, causing Mercury to jerk back a bit out of fear for what Weaver might do. She clicks her mouth, amused, hiding the information that the tap didn't actually do anything to the screen. It's going to take actual attacks to break it, yes. One attack perhaps, or maybe two? One way to find out, yes. She gathers a fair deal of specialized toxin in her mouth, and with a swish, sprays it at the screen. The toxin eats into the screen, causing the outer coating to begin to melt slightly. She clicks with joy at the sight, thinking but one more will melt through. Staring back at the Gallade for a reaction, she is shocked to see the knight creating a chain of energy between the two, linking them. With a shudder of horror, she feels her very essence draining away from her. This causes her to become only a wee bit mad, eager to burn away the wall and suck the delicious life juices back from her sneaky sneaky prey. With a repeat of her previous technique, she sprays the wall again, only for it to withstand the attack, though it's clearly not in the best of shape. It'll take at least one more, she realizes with disappointment. Looking back through at the Gallade, she's overjoyed to not only find the chain severed, but the Gallade lying on the floor exhausted, though a tad healthier.

Gallade has gained quite a bit health, coming back over the midpoint by a respectable amount. He's completely out of it however, having spent a ridiculous amount of energy the past five rounds without a break. Ariados is rather peppy despite the three mover, and is moving through the first third. Heather has one three mover remaining.

Good work, Mercury. Rest up in your ball for now. Switching out for Foo.

Starting off levitating out of melee range, rip a Psychic Wave through her. Then we'll spice things up- lower to the ground with a Heavy Slam, crushing her under you.

Should Mercury somehow be forced to stay in, he should just Psycho Cut to rid himself of his bindings, striking in the process if possible.

Leaving so soon? Fine, you were quite the rude guest anyhow. Let's prepare a reception for our next guest, then. Utilize the switch time and your SC to string your way up to the ceiling. Once Metagross is out, Struggle Bug right at his screen.

Round Six: Ariados versus Metagross

Spoiler: show
https://goanimate.com/videos/0Gw4UZsgTZQM
Spoiler: show
Vegeta = Ariados Goku = Metagross

Ariados sustained a fair amount of damage, dropping into the second third. She is good for two. Metagross fine after his one mover due to technicalities in slamming the ceiling.

Pop off a Psychic Wave. Should it be dislodged by the force of the wave, smash it with Heavy Slam. Otherwise, another Psychic Wave.

Round Seven: AriadXs versus MetagrXss

Honestly thought one of you would want the round done over but apparently not. Ok then.
-------------------

Shaking herself off, Ariados clicks at the supercomputer with deep irritation. Her attack had a fair shot to beat his, but had just fallen short in power. The kind of defeat that arguably stings the most: his techniques are simply stronger. Such does not mean the defeat of her however, and she quickly comes to a plan of attack. That "X" on the Metagross would make a hilariously peculiar target to go for. Scurrying over the surface of the eye, she squints slightly, the eye blasting her underside with intense blue light. The intensity even overpowers the slight benefit given from not facing directly into it. Truly, MMS has a strange, yet effective taste in decoration. Filling with determination, she focuses deeply on the "X", and, manipulating her free appendages into an "X", she blasts forth a stream of energy. This beam travels forth as an "X", and, by some miraculous chance, slams Metagross right in the "X" on his face. That's a damn bullseye right there. Thus, a paradox was opened in the space-time continuum, and a poorly made counterfeit of Picasso fell from the eye above. Oh, my bad, that's not a Picasso. That's our friend the Ariados, having been splattered off the eye and dropped several feet, suspended by a thread midair. Something to do with spiders somehow always rappelling down on you when you try to squash them. Damn spiders. Metagross apparently did not take to liking being hit orgasmically perfect in the "G" spot (Or in this case, the "X" spot), and sent a Psychic her way. The aiming was so precise on this X-Scissor that it can only truly be described as the following:
Spoiler: show

Seeing as how his foe has been dislodged from the ceiling, and, after running quick calculations to reaffirm himself that he is in fact, not a dumb bug, he does not waste time to figure out if the trainer meant ceiling or entirely. Thus, he levitates over to the suspended body of Ariados, and to be blunt, sits on it. The Ariados blows off a beam of bug energy in hopes of getting it off of her, but to no avail. That fat mass of steel won't budge.

Ariados has entered the final third of health, and is good for two. Metagross is sitting on her. Metagross is ready to go, solid for two. Sustained an alright amount of damage on his end, moving through the first third.

Rise up off of her, firing a Psychic Wave as soon as you're out of melee range. Finish the job with a Psyshock to spice things up a little.
