SPPf-> UPN PASBL: The Big Little Cup Round 1: Zelphon vs Machamp-X

Ok, by decree of Connor this has been shifted here because of Zelphy's ban on Serebii.

For reference, the match specs:
Zelphon vs. Machamp-X
3 vs. 3
Singles
Equiall 1
Hidden Squad
Strict Week DQ
Slapstick
Arena: Playground (Because who doesn't like playgrounds?)

Playground: Battles here take part within a large, school Playground. The main battle will take place within the center of the park. The ground below is lawn, the grass kept cut short. Rocks can be easily summoned from underground for use in attacks like Stealth Rock, and attacks such as Earthquake will transmit readily. Surrounding the area will be numerous pieces of Playground equipment, ranging from swings to slides. These can be uprooted by Pokemon of sufficient strength, but this will be no easy task. Within reason, if one of the batters mentions positioning of an object, the battler is considered to be correct unless it contradicts a previous statement. There is a strange atmosphere permeating the entire arena, which will cause baby Pokemon to fight more enthusiastically. This arena is outdoors only.

Round 9: Jump Around

And so the not-so-epic clash continues, with the Normal type leading in with a Hyper Voice, the energy-infused cry leaving the Mienfoo's ears ringing as it winces in pain, before beginning its own assault: a Drain Punch that slugs the Buneary right in the gut, healing the Mienfoo enough to almost compensate for the damage it took thus far in the round, but not quite, partially due to the Buneary's obscurely long defensive boost. And so the competitors separate slightly, both Pokemon giving themselves room to engage in their subsequent orders.

And so the Buneary waits, ready to react to her foe's next attack. The wait is short, unlike the wait for this reffing, as the Mienfoo launches itself skywards, the High Jump Kick barrelling at the Buneary. Grinning with confidence, the Buneary Bounces up to try and outjump her nemesis, but unfortunately she miscalculates, and instead takes a foot to the gut as she's sent spinning across the arena like a rocket-powered frisbee.

Summary
Chalis got battered severely here, landing in the final third and not too far from critical health, while Zendra is sat comfortably in her second third. Both are good for two.

Round 10: Familiar surroundings.

And yet another uninteresting round gets underway, this time starting with Zendra unleashing a rapidly-charged Aura Sphere. The slow-moving projectile (Why is it a slow projectile? This makes no sense even for ASB) travels towards the Buneary, it simply laughs it off, erecting (heh) a quick Protective shield to tank the blow for her. And now Chalis decides to take the offensive, returning fire with a move used previously against her in this matchup, the Drain Punch stealing some of Zendra's precious vitality to refresh the Buneary. The Normal type doesn't enjoy the healing buff for long though, as her poisoning kicks back in to remind her that she is on a timer for this...

Summary
No overall damage to Chalis, who has enough Fighting for another Drain Punch or so. Zendra's closing in on her final third and is good for two, while Chalis is in need of a breather.

Round 11: FINALLY

And the Buneary starts this round off, the tiredness showing as she moves in to attack her foe. The Drain Punch swings in and steals some health, but it's not enough, as Zendra kicks off into another High Jump Kick, planting her right foot in the Normal type's face as she finally keels over. Guess those rabbit's feet weren't so lucky after all.

Chalis is unable to battle! Mach, your next Pokemon please!

Zendra took a slight hit, landing it on the brink of its final third, and is good for two.

Round 12: FIRE ZE MISSILES

Recalling her much-loved rabbit with a tear in her eye, Mach returns her other unveiled champion to the fray, Yuno taking to the skies with an echoing screech as she claims them for her own. And almost immediately she begins the brazen assault, sending down a vicious Twister into the Fighting mouse, who shrugs the windy strike off with a Protective shield. Undeterred, the Murkrow repeats the assault, this time the Twister landing its rotating wrath upon the Mienfoo with all the force of your average easily-spammable Flying move. But that's not the end of the shitshow, with Zendra unleashing her own super-effective assault: A Rock Slide being sent flying through the air and clobbering the shadowy crow, before the rocks come flying back the other way and rough it up some more, the second Rock Slide being just ads calamitous for the bird as the first.

Summary
Both sides took a battering this round, leaving the battlers tied approaching critical. Zendra could use a breather and has absolutely no Rock energy left, Yuno's good for two.

As the switch occurs, ascend. You should have plenty of distance to Flying-type Fly over the attack and strike, carrying through with the momentum. If you got hit by the gleam, Twister to tear through the Fairy Wind and strike. If you didn't get hit at all, Steel Wing.

Round 13: Not this shit again.

And so Zelphy recalls his Mienfoo as he returns his fairy flower to the field, much to the ref's displeasure as he mumbles something about Switch=OK being the actual devil itself. Meanwhile, the Murkrow's been doing its own damn thing, flying to the moon despite the fact that it hasn't quite used Toxic yet. And now Winter, bereft of other options apparently, unleashes yet another Dazzling Gleam, but the birdbrain has other ideas, Flying over the attack and slamming into the diminutive creature, sending it tumbling away. Anyway, now the Flabebe's really running out of ideas, resorting to a Fairy Wind, the most basic of all Fairy moves, to strike her foe! However, the damage is done, and it sends Yuno spiralling into the dirt. Guess this one's pining for the fjords too.

Yuno is unable to battle! Mach, your final Pokemon please!

Winter's into her second third of health, and is good for two.

Round 14: No surprises here.

And so Mach recalls her fallen Murkrow, replacing it with their ace in the hole: A Snubbull, the Fairy that their foe always expected to appear at some stage. And the fairy is the one to start the action this round, unleashing a Hyper Voice that reverbrates around the arena, causing yet more pain to the flower-hugging fairy as it floats up onto a conveniently-located slide to unleash a blast of Nature's Power! Unfortunately, the trainer seems to have confused Nature Power with Natural Gift, as Nature Power works off the arena as a whole and not whatever you happen to be stood on. And so it is that a Magical Leaf speeds across the arena, slamming into the uglier of the fairies in the arena with a bit of extra whallop. And now the battlers sit back to watch the fascinating spectacle of a Snubbull trying to climb a ladder made for creatures at least twice its size. And, after being tripped by Winter's Grass Knot, it finally does start climbing the ladder! ...Very slowly. Just as it finally drags itself to the top of the slide, the referee calls time on the round.

Summary
Both are good for two. Winter's heading towards her final third, Felix is well inside his first.

Switching out to Lava King, my old Male Slugma with its position being to where Snubull is between him and the slide shoot.

Lava King, Body Slam them down the slide, Flamethrower their face off!

Round 15: Revealing the hand.

And so Zelphy reveals his final card in hand, Lava King the Slugma. A fearsome foe indeed for the Fairy, who realises that he needs to finish all three of Zelphy’s Pokemon in order to win. Surely an impossible feat, one might think. And the Snubbull seems to agree, tears flowing from its eyes as it appears to realise the futility of its situation. The Slugma pauses at this, wondering if it really wants to bring any more pain to the bawling fairy, ultimately deciding against his original plan of action, the Fake Tears having their dastardly way.

And now the Snubbull makes the Slugma regret its mercy, a vicious Water Pulse slamming into the lava slug, causing it to scream as the surface of its body solidifies slightly from the water, before returning fire with a scorching Flamethrower, the intense heat of the assault unfortunately not leaving any lasting marks on Felix, who knows that this matchup is far from over...

Summary
Felix tumbles towards his second third, with Lava King holding a slight advantage despite the super-effective hit. Both are good for two, Felix has plenty of Dark in the tanks and enough Water for another pair of Water Pulses.
