Phantump UPN PASBL: TalkSick vs. Sneaze in a STABmons exhib

Quote:
TalkSick (c) vs. Sneaze (o)
Exhibition STABmons
4v4
Doubles
Equiall 7
Switch=OK
Slapstick
48hr DQ
Arena: Creek Arena
The arena for reference:

Quote:
Creek: A small, flowing creek hidden in the back woods, which flows at a fairly swift pace. Most Pokemon will be able to traverse the current with ease, though particularly light or small combatants may have some issue. The creek is about fifteen feet across at most points, differing by only a few feet here and there, and is consistently about five feet deep at the center. A small makeshift bridge stretches across the creek at the center, where the battle will typically begin, and though it is fairly sturdy and able to hold the average combatants with ease, it can be broken with enough force. The creek's left bank is largely flat with the odd vegetation and a good amount of trees for climbing and cover, while the right bank quickly shifts into a steep hill, rising about twenty feet before flattening out again, and lacks any real form of vegetation whatsoever. This arena is outdoors only.
Alright, so we have what is an amazing Equiall 7 battle going on here, meaning that it is definitely gonna be an all-out match. Who will prevail, the Bug GL hopeful or the Grass GL overlord? Alright, let's get to it with TalkSick putting their squad up first.

Disclaimer: STABmons means you can use any move of your type(s), although there are exceptions to that so be sure to be careful when ordering!

Thanks for the match, Sneaze and Chiko.

BeatAll, Level 7 Male Heracross
Hidden Power: Ghost
Biography: BeatAll is a warrior who has learned to adapt. Instead of bragging about his strengths, he choose to conquer his biggest weakness, his worst nightmare. After years of endless training, building up his endurance, he can finally take a flying type attack like a mon and ko back with a stone edge.
Signature: Special Training- Flying not so Fly
BeatAll takes x2 from Flying instead of x3 but no longer resists Ground and Dark type moves.

GigglyStuff, Level 7 Female Wigglytuff
Hidden Power: Fairy
Biography: GigglyStuff is a Jigglypuff, one of the cutest pokemon. She takes advantage of this in her battles, and can melt the heart of even most fierce foes using her cuteness.
Signature: Special Training- Cute Charm
GigglyStuff's cuteness based techniques are now slightly more effective, similar to that of baby pokemon. These techniques are Attract, Charm, Disarming Voice and Sweet Kiss.
These moves now consume 10% extra energy. GigglyStuff has given up her entire Dark type move pool as using those moves isn't cute, and no longer resists the dark type.

Scorrupt, Level 7 Male Gliscor
Hidden Power: Ground
Biography: Like every other gligar, Scorrupt was super weak to ice. This saddened Scorrupt as he couldn't eat ice cream. But he found a way to be not so weak to ice and enjoy ice cream.
Signature: Special Training- Doubly Effective no more
Scorrupt is now x2 weak to Ice type attacks instead of x3. He no longer resists Bug and Fighting types and takes neutral damage instead.

Invertebae, Level 7 Female Malamar
Hidden Power: Fairy
Biography: Invertebae is one of the newer additions to my squad. I found her, or rather she found us when I and my pokemon where relaxing at a beach one day. Being of a species that is famous for doing exactly opposite of what they are supposed to do, she joined my team seeing all the bug types that I have, instead of running away. After some training, she became better at dealing with her bug weakness.
Signature: Special Training- Bug types don't bug me anymore
Invertebae is now x2 weak to bug type instead of x3. She now takes neutral damage from Psychic type attacks instead of being immune to them. She also takes 20% more damage from Fire type attacks than usual. She never developed the skill to light up a dark area using a move as stated in SC.

Magiga, Level 7 Female Mismagius
Hidden Power: Fighting

Kapparty, Level 7 Male Ludicolo
Hidden Power: Fairy

Solstice Badge
Attachable Badge
Representing both the change in the seasons and the change in one's self, the tree with four colors of leaves that shapes the Solstice Badge is given to those who can defeat Sneasel12 in the Wildwood Gym.
Badge Effect: Seasoned Warrior
Using the power of the seasons, the wearer of the Solstice Badge may change the type of the move they are currently performing to represent one of the four seasons. The types available to be changed to are Fire for Summer, Water for Autumn, Ice for Winter, and Ground for Spring. Moves must use Significant energy or less in order to be able to have their type changed by this effect. These effects can be used a total of four times and each season can be represented a maximum of twice.

Token of Community Appreciation
This Token allows the attached Pokemon to have a slightly more powerful sig than usual. Removing this token will also cause the sig to be considered null and void, and the sig itself must state that it exists due to this token for clarity's sake.
Attached to Siren the Lapras

Banettite
Allows Banette to Mega Evolve.
Attached to Sybil the Banette

Homura: Genderless Celebi (level 8) (Legend Uplevel)
Biography: Homura's normally darker green sections of her body have been tainted and blackened by the overwhelming shadows of the attack that felled her upon capture. She does retain some degree of a grudge towards those that hide behind shields and other defenses, and has developed a use for her time powers against such techniques.
Special Attack: Temporal Blaster (Normal)
Briefly stopping the flow of time, Homura rushes her opponent, charging a small sphere of energy in her palm before slipping around them and returning time to normal as she bursts the sphere into a barrage of blasts directly into the opponent's back, leaving them basically no time to react to the blows. To prevent any strain from altering the flow of time, Homura will always take the most direct path towards the opponent while performing this technique, meaning that she will not dodge attacks that are already in flight if they have been aimed at her, and while the damage done by the blasts does add up, the individual hits are not particularly jarring, meaning most opponents will have no problem continuing to execute any moves they may have been charging before her sudden disappearance and reappearance. This attack uses good energy for equivalent damage.

Aphie: Female Kecleon (level 7)
Biography: Aphie's skin is a plum color. We really don't know why. Deeply in love with Jeri's Kecleon, Koi, Aphie used to regularly tackle and attempt to subdue her love interest. But even with training, her attempts were always in vain, and so she now admires him from afar. ...and sometimes not so far. Her habits - stalking some would call it - require the utmost stealth, but Koi being a Kecleon as well means that even when camouflaged Aphie would always be easily spotted due to the presence of her stripe. As such, she has practiced hard in order to mask even her one glaring weakness when hiding.
Hidden Power: Psychic
Special Training: Not Even A Restraining Order
When camouflaged, Aphie's stripe is no longer visible as it would normally be for other Kecleon. However, her Camouflage requires a light amount of extra energy to use.

Athelas: Female Cherrim (level 7)
Biography: Athelas has spent much time being a primary support to her teammates. With time and training, she has managed to tap into the inner strength that her fellow teammates possess, though she can only do so when she is with them, and her potential in doing so is somewhat limited by her own abilities.
Hidden Power: Rock
Solstice Badge Attached
Special Training: Let Me Be The Carry!
When Athelas is in battle and a teammate is sent out, she may choose three types that she has access to, and from each of these types choose three moves that her teammate knows, for a total of nine. She is then able to use these moves as long as her teammate remains in battle. Normal and typeless may not be selected as energy types. She may only use a move from her teammate's movepool once per round, and doing so costs an extra light amount of typeless energy. Moves gained from signatures cannot be copied in this manner.

Sybil: Female Banette (level 7)
Bio: Sick of being a controlled puppet, Sybil strived to reverse her role. Her extensive training has given her better control of her telekinetic abilities.
Hidden Power: Bug
Banettite Attached
Special Training: Puppet Master
Sybil's Disable, Psychic, and Telekinesis require less focus than normal to be used, and when fully focused can be used with higher accuracy and proficiency than normal. Both of these effects are subject to ref's discretion. The wave form of Psychic is unaffected by this extra training.

Siren: Female Lapras (level 7)
Biography: Siren got her name from the mythical creatures that once lured sailors and pirates to their deaths on sharp rocks with the sound of their beautiful singing. Like her namesake, Siren also enjoys singing for those who sail at sea, though not for any purposes that would be considered ill. No, instead she sings beautiful songs in trade for their most beautiful drink, rum.
Hidden Power: Ground
Token of Community Appreciation Attached
Signature Training: Yo Ho Yo Ho
Thanks to her Token of Community Appreciation, Siren has gained the ability to put all that rum in her stomach to good use, burning it as fuel for powerful Fire attacks. As such, she has learned Inferno, Mystical Fire, and Flame Charge, and due to the sheer volume of rum in her system, she is considered familiar with the Fire type. Thanks to the rum burning extremely strong, Siren's Fire moves are usable underwater with no loss in power.

Tuan: Male Rapidash (level 7)
Biography: Tuan's coat is a pure white, with swirling dark purple flames and bright yellow eyes. Dispite the demonic appearance, however, Tuan is actually a decendant of the guardians of the underworld. As his bloodline was meant to protect against demons and their ilk, his flames carry an odd attribute to them.
Special Training: Purging Flame
Tuan's flame based attacks are filled with purging energy, causing them to turn a dark purple. These flames deal extra damage against Dark and Ghost types, which would be considered super effective damage, however they are not meant for use of those of good stature, and as such do half damage against Fairy and Fighting type Pokemon. All attacks that fall under this description also cost 25% more energy than they normally would. These modifiers do not stack beyond a single super effective modifier with eachother or the normal effectiveness chart, and thus any Dark/Ghost, Bug/Ghost, Grass/Dark, etc. will only take damage as though they were effected by a single super effective modifier. Tuan can no longer use Hidden Power, and he no longer leaves trails of flames when using Agility.

"Homura and Aphie. Take to the bridge."

GigglyStuff on the bridge, BeatAll flying over it.

GigglyStuff, start off by catching them both in an Icy Wind, but put priority on the celebi. Give Kecleon a focused Relic Song after BeatAll's bug buzz.

BeatAll, start with an Attack Order on the celebi as you gain height. Follow that up by drowning both our opponents in a Bug Buzz, but put priority on the celebi.

"Homura, Barrier then pop off an Extrasensory at the Heracross to stop the Bug Buzz.

Aphie, Uproar at the Heracross then smack it with a Hidden Power."

Phantump Round 1: A bit creeky, don't you think?

Welcome one and all to a lovely exhibition mode that we call STABmons, in which you can use a move if you share its type but with exceptions like Transform and Hyperspace Hole, anyway. Our combatants arrive at the creek and admire the scenery before quickly forgetting about it and sending out their choice of Pokemon. From Sneaze, we see Homura the Celebi who is definitely gonna be a massive target, as well as Aphie the Kecleon who can hide better than I can when there's a cute girl in the vicinity. While Talksick decides to go with Gigglystuff who seems to be keeping to her namesake as a loud giggle can be heard as she lands on the bridge, as well as BeatAll who definitely looks like he could beat all the Pokemon here.

Wigglytuff (Normal/Fairy): Wigglytuff can inflate themselves as a move to intimidate opponents, making them more hesitant to attack. While inflated, they have a harder time moving, but a moderately higher defense. Despite their lack of agility in this inflated state, they can float in to the air at a steady pace. Their Sing attack is more effective, requiring less be sung to put an opponent to sleep. Wigglytuff have more sensitive hearing, at the expense of being more vulnerable to sound-based status techniques like Supersonic.
[Normal]: Normal-type Pokémon are able to use support moves to greater effect than other Pokémon, with them being performed slightly quicker and being slightly more potent. Being beings of great balance, they benefit more from the positive effects of weather and other arena affecting moves, but will not suffer as badly from the negative effects. In the ASB, Normal-types take resisted damage from the damaging effects of Ghost-type energy.
[Fairy]: Fairy-types are generally pure hearted and gregarious. They prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically in them, but they will not be off put by urban environments. Any attack used by a Fairy-type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. They are immune to the damaging effects of Dragon-typed energy.

Heracross (Bug/Fighting): Heracross can fly, though they are faster than they are agile in the air. Attacks made using their horn deal 1.2x damage and they are adept at flipping over their targets. In addition, when they fall below 1/3 health, they become empowered, their STAB attacks dealing 10% extra damage.
[Bug]: Bug-types can see in the dark, and they have largely enhanced sight, granting them a small boost to the accuracy of their moves. Most live in warm climates, though they hate fire and dislike extreme cold. Their status inducing attacks have an extra 10% chance of inflicting statuses and the resulting statuses are slightly more potent than usual. Bug types are in general more nimble than other Pokémon, though not necessarily faster, and will quickly out manoeuvre opponents when using unconventional movement.
[Fighting]: Fighting-type Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, giving them greater endurance and readiness than other Pokémon and allowing them to push themselves harder for longer. They are more accurate with their physical blows and more adept at blocking and countering physical attacks, able to do this against most physical assaults. Being physically powerful, they can lift much more than normal Pokémon, though this does not grant them an attack boost. They fight more enthusiastically in urban environments but are not adversely affected by more natural surroundings.
-
Celebi (Grass/Psychic): Celebi is the only Pokémon known to be able to travel throughout the flow of time. Once per match, Celebi can literally "freeze time" around itself. While time is frozen, nothing moves or changes, with the exception of Celebi, who may move and attack. Celebi may also take allies into this frozen time pocket, though this is more stressful on Celebi and requires more energy. To observers outside the time pocket, Celebi and any in it seem to move faster than the speed of light, literally appearing and disappearing as they go. This allows it to perform moves almost instantaneously. The pocket will last for one round and cannot be entered unwillingly. This counts as one move, and requires significant energy to use.
[Grass]: Grass-type Pokémon live anywhere that can support vegetation and are adept at concealing themselves in such places. They enjoy both bright sun and rain and fight more enthusiastically in the day time, though they are not put off by fighting at night. Rainstorms will heal them slightly every round the rain falls, while very bright sunlight will regenerate their energy instead. Their healing moves cost slightly less energy and their draining moves will heal them by a greater amount while suffering only half of the usual diminishing returns. They are immune to spore based techniques like Sleep Powder and are more adept at using such attacks themselves, creating denser concentrations of spores which are harder to disperse and more potent in their effects. Any attack used by Grass-types manipulating the environment is slightly more potent, and their Grass-type attacks which utilise plant foliage (such as Razor Leaf) are more efficient in natural environments.
[Psychic]: Psychic-type Pokémon are much more proficient with telekinesis than other Pokémon. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and manipulate targets with ease. Psychic type Pokémon are resistant to flinching, having higher levels of focus and concentration than other Pokémon. They are resistant to attacks which induce confusion or other mental effects. They have limited ability to read minds and are thus more adept at dodging attacks than might be expected and able to mitigate the effects of accuracy reducing attacks. This extends to GMs, where they will have a slightly better impression of Pokémon within their vicinity. Their Psychic support moves (such as Gravity and Magic Room) cost slightly less energy.

Kecleon (Normal): When Kecleon use Camouflage, their stripe remains visible, so they can still be tracked, although it is much harder. They will be much less likely to make movements which will attract opponents attention, moving carefully without sacrificing speed or agility. Attacks based upon trickery are slightly more effective when used by Kecleon. Their tongue can be used to attack with physical moves quickly from a reasonable distance.
And with that, let's get underway.

Homura and Aphie, Gigglystuff and BeatAll, the two opposing sides stare each other down intensely before getting to work at beating the snot out of each other. Homura doesn't start going all out though as she decides to pop up a barrier of psychic energy in order to protect herself from any and all incoming attacks... Which is what it's about to do right now as Gigglystuff decides to breathe a very cold wind towards Aphie and Homura, but mostly Homura. The wind washes over Aphie while chilling her slightly but Homura giggles as her Barrier only gets slightly chipped the by the wind.

BeatAll sees this and decides that the best course of action is smashing that screen in with a move commonly seen on one of the worst PASBL 'mons, Attack Order. The swarm of marching ants, or what have you, start to descend upon the Barrier as BeatAll does the opposite and gains height. The swarm of UFI's smash into the Barrier, destroying it and leaving next to none to hurt Homura but there is still a slight bit and that leaves BeatAll satisfied. Aphie, however, is not satisfied as she sends an uproar of noise towards BeatAll, shouting and screaming some terrible lyrics to a song about not wanting to go to bed now,

BeatAll hears this and can't help but be hurt by the atrocity that is Aphie's singing voice. Disturbed by this, BeatAll prepares to bring a beatdown as he beats his wings at a fast pace, getting faster and faster only for Homura to attack him while he was charging, as rude at that is. Golden rings of psychic energy smash into the Heracross who finds mass irritation around his body and is rightly put off by it, and well the damage caused by the rings would also irritate oneself when they hurt so much, especially when Aphie follows up with a Hidden Power of the Psychic variety, ouch. Still on the bridge and enjoying it more than the others are, Gigglystuff notices that BeatAll's plan was foiled and starts to sing Aphie a lullaby. Soft Kecleon, warm Kecleon, little ball of camoflague.

The attack goes on, uninterrupted and Aphie ends up laughing as that Uproar from earlier made her very much unable to be put asleep.

Summary:

BeatAll was hurt the most that round, crashing into the second third. Followed by Aphie who is traveling through the first and Homura who seemed to be bitten by the tiniest insect possible, leaving Gigglystuff the only one undamaged this round. All are good for two and Gigglystuff still has a bit over half of her Ice energy remaining.

Sneaze to order.
