Round 6: Alright one more before I sleep...

The trainer recalls his fallen teammate, clutching at another pokeball in his opposite hand. The red stream of electricity erupts from the ball, revealing the next combatant, Cyber Duck the Porygon-Z! This oddball looking pokemon looks like he's immediately taken a liking to his urban environment, surging with data as he analyses his surrounding. That data that he's made up with seems to be corrupted. Looks like it'll be enhancing his power and his electrical energies, in exchange for a drop in his protection... interesting stuff. And hey, it's able to move each part of its body individually, let's see how that plays into it's favour!

Cyberduck makes to hesitation to get the battle underway, feeling power surge through him as a familiar attack starts to form up. The three pronged symbol can only signify one thing, and Aeria knows the attack very well. Instead of trying to fight back, Aeria shows a smile, happy with her performance against unfavourable odds. She takes her orders... well, quite literally. She prances towards Cyberduck, sparkling with sweat and fairy energies as Cyberduck looks, quite frankly, confused. Humanlike gestures and kindness DOES NOT COMPUTE, however, and he lets loose the Tri Attack square in Aerias face. She keels over, her deadly Hug attack not reaching its mark. Good thing for Cyberduck, it would've been devastating to him.

Aeria is unable to battle! Next pokemon and orders from Chalis!

Not much to report here, Cyberduck used a bit of energy...

Just wanted to ask, why did Hug not strike first? It's pretty much the fastest attack around.

Return, Aeria. Nice work!

Jinn, you've got this!

Ramp up the Gravity, then go for a Considerable Focus Blast. If they use Conversion2, replace the second move with Psychic.

Round 7: God, Now I have to actually think...

The trainer recalls the fallen Clefable, proud of her work and giving her a nice rewarding rest. Another pokeball is tossed into battle, unveiling Jinn the Medicham! She looks calm, taking up a pose of confidence. She looks like she'll be unperturbed in the face of mind alteration effects, although I imagine a nice Confuse Ray would still shake her up a bit! Anyway, let the battle continue!

Both pokemon attempt to make the first move, Jinn clutching her hands together much like a hidden jutsu hand gesture, Psychic energies beginning to radiate out from her body. At the same time, CyberDuck remains still, seemingly doing nothing on the face of thing. On the inside however, his computer code based body begins to rewrite itself, 0 and 1 signals coarsing through his body changing the fundamentals of his typing. As he moves into the final stage of installation for his Conversion 2.0, his physical being suddenly slumps downwards towards the ground. Psychic energies force him downwards, creating a makeshift Gravity preventing him from floating upwards any more than he is already at. It doesn't interrupt his update for long through, as he reads 'Installation successful!' before saving it as a desktop icon for easy access.

Offensive orders proceed, Jinn noticing that her foe had indeed used the move her trainer was anticipating. The waiting leaves enough time for Cyberduck to begin channeling his own attack, and Jinn responds with her own. A Ball forms up, Shadows coming together and condensing as it grows larger and larger. Meanwhile, Jinn takes up another stance with a different hand gesture, the Psychic energies this time heavily condensing around her hands. Both pokemon launch their attacks, the ghostly ball hurtling towards Jinn, meeting the attack with a Wave of energy... uh oh, this looks bad! Get down!

SHABOOOOOM

The explosion rips across the arena, tables and chairs getting knocked about by the winds from the blast, and the two pokemon both face the brunt of the Shadow Ball explosion. It looks like they have both taken a fairly even amount of damage from the exchange, as Cyberduck appears to have converted to the Psychic Type, his own attack coming back to bite him. As both pokemon bring themselves to their feet, the rubbish flying around in the air settles as the particularly meaningless Sandstorm fades away.

Both pokemon took even damage from the explosion, though they still sit comfortably within the starting third. Literally everything was even throughout, including energy usage, although Jinn has the lead due to being fresh out the ball. Cyberduck is now Psychic Typed, and Gravity is in effect.

Roto to order please.

Mega Kick through the Light Screen and into Porygon-Z, letting the momentum carry you away. Shadow Ball once you're a decent distance away.

Round 8: A Double Dosage of Type-Spam

Despite being the fresher of the two combatants, Jinn keeps wary of her opponent, waiting for a move before she reacts. Cyberduck wastes no time taking this opportunity, building forth a wall comprised of energy, building up the firewall to protect his new programming from intrusive spyware and malware... and by that I mean special attacks. The Screen looks to be flimsy to Physical power, however, and Jinn smirks at herself in the reflective surface of the wall. She sprints forward, keeping low to the ground from the gravity and smashing straight into the screen feet first. The Light that made up the screen shatters under the force of the attack, as Jinn Mega Kicks Cyberduck straight in the body, not able to detach his body parts in time for him to avoid it. As he is knocked back towards the fountain, Jinn uses the force of the kick to spring herself in the opposite direction, although not able to as efficiently as she'd like thanks to Gravity effectively removing the Z axis...

Man, Gravity makes for some strange interactions.

Jinn doesn't feel particularly safe at the distance she's at, and starts to move towards one of the other shops as Cyberduck regains his senses from the kick. As she gets to a position she feels comfortable with, she turns to see Cyberduck charging towards her, flying energy coating his being. She acts quickly, attempting to roll to the side to avoid the attack at the last second. Cyberduck gets the last laugh however, as he quickly changes his angle as he approaches, arcing round to where Jinn was rolling to, and slamming into her back. She feels a little winded as the Aerial Ace knocks the wind out of her, but she is resilient. She lands, pirouetting on her lead leg and forming up a Ball of dark energies, Shadows converging around her. There are only so many ways you can describe a move in one match, so let's skip to the good bit. Jinn launches the ball in retaliation, the distance between them allowing her to easily guide the ball straight into her foe's body. The explosion knocks him back towards the fountain, sitting in the middle of the path, as both combatants stare eachother down once more.

Whilst Jinn was almost taken into the second third, Cyberduck has fallen much further through it. Energy usage was pretty high from both sides, and they're both looking to be a little bit tired, although still fine for 2 moves. Jinn can fuel another Shadow Ball with her Ghost energy, whilst Cyberduck can fuel another 2 Aerial Aces.

Chalis to order please.

Round 9: More Typespam

Following up on her 'pretty much fighting moved without the typing' strategy, Jinn launches herself at her foe once more springing up and swinging her leg round as she comes close. Cyberduck looks unphased this time, as Dark energy swells in the bottom section of his body. He begins to mimic Jinns actions, moving his body with Jinns kick causing the momentum to shift through his own body, fueling his own hit with that power. The Foul Play smacks into Jinn as her own Mega Kick smacks into Cyberduck. Jinn doesn't look too happy that her opponent had to use her power against her to score a good hit, what a wuss! She remains calm however, her mind too clear to be affected by trivial emotions such as this.

She moves first, once again, a bright, two-pronged Beam of colours bursts towards Cyberduck. He's too tired to get out of the way at this point, taking the Super Effective blow at full force as he sets about charging his own attack. We've seen it countless times before, and it's getting quite tedious to keep describing it in a different way. Stop using Shadow Ball for gods sake I can only be so creative. Anyway, it hurtles towards Jinn, who is also feeling the exhaustion kick in from her onslaught of attacks as she struggles to get out of the way.

Huge damage to both sides. Jinn has dropped all the way through her second third and approaches the final third now. Cyberduck doesn't look any better though, and he's now well into the final third, even after mitigating some damage. Both are exhausted and looking for a breather. CyberDuck is also out of Ghost energy, and Jinn has a fair amount of Bug energy left in the tanks.

Roto to order please.

Recalling Cyber Duck for now in favor of Washing Machine. Hit them with a nice Discharge, and then use Midge's favorite move: Shadow Ball.

If Cyber Duck can't return then Thunder Wave and chill

Round 10: Shadow Ball.

Oh now I remember why I didn't want to ref this round... Anyway sorry guys I'm really lacking motivation so I'm gonna make this one short.

The trainer opts to recall his Porygon, figuring that a new combatant might swing the tide of battle back in his favour. A new pokemon takes the field; a bright red appliance, grinning as he enters the battlefield. Washing Machine the Rotom-W looks on, levitating about and taking a liking to the man-made battlefield.

Jinn looks on, pulling back to battle stance. Washing Machine looks slightly wary but nevertheless, opens his appliance door as his interior begins to spin and electricity begins to crackle from inside. The Discharged electricity soars towards Jinn, who looks completely unphased by the attack heading her way. And rightly so, for the electricity strikes a barely visible Screen, bouncing off and dissipating into the air. It would appear that Jinn put up a Light Screen while the switch happened. Jinn looks confident, although panting away. Washing Machine doesn't look happy, and uses my favourite move of all time yay Shadow Ball... It smacks the screen, most of the energy being absorbed. But the screen begins to crack, and shatters under the force of the attack. The remainder of the ghostly energies pour through, washing Jinn across the floor with great force. She retaliates, although takes her sweet time doing so due to the state she's in. As an Energy Ball flies through the air towards Washing Machine, he hobbles out of the way, as it grazes him on his tube extension dealing a reduced, but still prevalent shot of damage.

Both took about even damage and used equal energy. Jinn is really pushing her limits, falling into the final third of health, and is desperate for a breather, whilst Washing Machine is still fresh. Grass energy sits at half for Jinn.

Chalis to order please.

Why did Energy Ball miss so badly? I know Jinn was tiring, but she only started needing a break as well as having switch initiative, and Rotom-W is under Gravity.

She didn't only start needing a break. She's been slowly tiring over the course of 3 rounds, and considering she's used almost 5HB's of energy over the course of 4 rounds I think it's justified that she's so tired. Rotom on the other hand is fresh out the pokeball, and had plenty of time to prepare for a slowly charged energy ball relative to how fresh it was.

Besides Jinn didn't miss that badly, and managed to get about half the potency due to Gravity limiting Rotoms movement somewhat. But Rotom's movement consists of quick hobbles and it relatively agile with them as stated in it's SC, so it wasn't just a sitting duck in the face of it.

Thanks, I understand it now, but you said "a little bit tired" to "exhausted" over the course of two rounds. I can now see why Jinn is exhausted, but those terms used back to back are what confused me.

I'm fine with the round, but I don't see anything about agility or quick hops in Rotom's desc, only that it's fast.

Thanks for clarifying, though!

How did they take even damage despite Light Screen :p

Jenna, your turn! Mega Evolve immediately.

Middle-Charge Hyper Beam to Stone Edge.

Round 11: Thank God for No More Shadow Ball

One of the trainers opts to switch once again, deciding that a replacement is needed to take down this bulky, 2 weakness washing machine. However, the replacement doesn't quite fit the criteria, and looks to overwhelm the foe through brute force and power. It's Jenna the Mawile! Her metal jaws look solid and powerful, capable of dealing some massive damage with them. But when she turns around and shows her true face, she's a right cutie! She's also carrying a mega-stone for this battle.

Jenna wastes no time in shifting into the aforementioned form, energy emanating out from the stone she carries and surrounding her. Her jaw begins to flail, duplicating and buckling into a more powerful, crocodile-esque shape. Her kimono turns a deep purple, and her iron-fibered hair grows outwards. As she resumes her stance, a multi-coloured symbol of mega-evolution flashes, as Jenna turns her attention to her foe... and eats a Will-o-Wisp just as she enters the form. The fire engulfs her as she braces herself, lucky to be free of any particularly bad burns.

Jenna swings her jaws forward as the flames subside, ducking down slightly as the immense build-up of energy in her jaws weighs her down. The twin orbs of energy fire out streams of energy, colluding and twisting into a single Hyper Beam as it surges towards the Washing Machine, who is not quite able to get out of the way in time and getting blasted for a large shot of damage. Washing Machine retaliates as he see's Jenna attempting to make her next move, opening his door again and spinning the motors inside, electrical tendrils bouncing around and outwards across the ground. Jenna feels a horrid sensation as her being starts to lock-up while preparing her move. As she tries to muster the energy to form up the rocks she needs, the focused Thunder Wave ties her up, stopping her in her tracks. The Jaws slump downwards as she stares back angrily at her foe, paralyzed.

Pretty much even damage on both side. Jenna will be going into the next round still fresh since it ended abruptly, but she's quite heavily paralyzed. Washing Machines fire energy has enough for another 2 Will-O-Wisps.

Roto to order please.

Round 12: BANG and the Dirt is Gone!

Washing Machine plays the coward, running behind the safety of the fountain as Jenna continues to struggle through her paralysis. She keeps a sharp eye on her foe's movements however, pinpointing his location and eagerly mustering up an attack. She tries to hoist her jaws upwards, ground energy beginning to form up and create a sandy structure within its grasp. Suddenly a jolt runs through her system, her jaws fall back and slap her on the backside, and her shoulders slump as the paralysis takes hold of her and prevents her attack. Washing Machine happily Charges up in the meantime, his motor rotating and generating a circuit of electricity for himself.

Frustratedley, Jenna pulls up her Jaws once again, feeling a little more limber and managing to keep them up for a longer period of time and managing to keep the cluster of Dirt steady in her grasp before Tossing it over at Washing Machine, her Jaws flopping forwards inaccurately and powerless, as the cluster of dirt begins to break apart. Some of the attack still finds the machine, landing in his open door and stinging him as it swirls around in his system. You'd think he'd be fine with dirt in his system what with him being a washing machine and all, but it leaves him with a mild Burn inside. Washing Machine, struck by a super effective attack, is led to believe that his opponent must have broken free of her paralysis, and swiftly jumps out from his cover. A Thunder detonates with a boom, rumbling out of his washer and striking at the helplessly immobile Jenna. She takes the attack in pride, her body becoming loose and limber as it is jolted back into form, but the damage remains true and she winces from the severity of the attack. The Jaws rise up above her head again, grinding their teeth as a terrifying shadow is cast over Washing Machine.

Both pokemon move steadily through their health pools, with Jenna holding a slight lead in that regard, sitting comfortably within the first third. Washing Machine is still good for 2 but will tire soon. Washing Machine was left with a burn in his washer. Jenna has 1 more Dirt Toss in her ground tanks.
