Bananas, no mercy.

"MC Focus Blast, Dynamic Punch. If it uses double team then replace the dynamic punch with an Earthquake."

Here we are once more in the battle-scarred Lawn Arena. Keeping this lawn in shape is probably the only thing that ever gets done here in ASB, so you guys better enjoy it. Interestingly enough, this match has the same three participants as a match over on Serebii, albeit with a small reversal of roles. This time, instead of myself, TalkSick will be the trainer fighting Deh! Joy to all! Not wasting any time, the two opponents grab their balls before furiously tossing them into the air. On TalkSick's side, a Mankey by the name of Bananas is revealed. On the other, a Kecleon by the name of Kecleon.

Quote:
Mankey (Fighting): Mankey are excellent climbers, allowing them to scale most walls and surfaces and swing from vines and branches with ease, and they can use their tail to grasp objects and ledges. They interpret being stared in the eyes a challenge to their authority. Thus, any eye contact will cause Mankey launch into a berserk rage. They will focus almost exclusively on the offending target to the exclusion of all other concerns unless something else starts to become a bigger problem or gets in the way of their rage. Until its target has fallen Mankey will be extremely emotional and responsive but more vulnerable to confusion. Mankey will also be winded for a few moments after its berserker rage has ended, with longer periods of rage meaning more downtime. A trainer may write a note in their bio stating that their Mankey has been trained not to enter into the enraged state in this way.
Spoiler: show
[Fighting]: Fighting-type Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, giving them greater endurance and readiness than other Pokémon and allowing them to push themselves harder for longer. They are more accurate with their physical blows and more adept at blocking and countering physical attacks, able to do this against most physical assaults. Being physically powerful, they can lift much more than normal Pokémon, though this does not grant them an attack boost. They fight more enthusiastically in urban environments but are not adversely affected by more natural surroundings.

Kecleon (Normal): Kecleon can disguise themselves like a chameleon quickly and without using energy, at the cost of a move. However, their stripe remains visible, so they can still be tracked, although it is much harder. Attacks based upon trickery are slightly more effective when used by Kecleon.
Spoiler: show
[Normal]: Normal-type Pokémon are able to use support moves to greater effect than other Pokémon, with them being performed slightly quicker and being slightly more potent. Being beings of great balance, they benefit more from the positive effects of weather and other arena affecting moves, but will not suffer as badly from the negative effects. In the ASB, Normal-types take resisted damage from the damaging effects of Ghost-type energy.
Bananas wastes no time getting to battle, hopping about as he begins to Focus on his attack. Before long, it's clear to all present that the monkey is charging up a Blast of pure energy. However, the Mankey's focus breaks as Indigo lets out a wild Screech, causing him to release his attack before fully charged in an attempt to cover his ears from the heinous sound. Indigo grunts at the impact but is relieved by the knowledge that it could have been much, much worse. Banana, on the other hand, is pretty peeved that his attack got messed up. He charges his fist with explosive power, then begins to dash forward in preparation for a Dynamic Punch. This time, however, Indigo resorts to craftier methods than merely shouting. Summoning its apparent elemental power, he mentally commands the Grass around Bananas to come to life and Knot itself around his legs, causing him to trip and fall. An exciting first round to a battle that is sure to be a good one.

While Banana has established a small lead, it's really still anyone's game. Both Pokemon are essentially fresh and good for two. Deh to order.

Indigo smirks, delighting in the confusion his Camouflage technique will cause in his opponent. This confusion, however, is notably lacking in Bananas' countenance as the Kecleon disappears into its surroundings, thinking itself safe. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. Bananas' eyes suddenly glow red, a glow that soon overtakes the entire Lawn, a glow that exposes Indigo for all to see. Unperturbed, the Kecleon dashes forward at breakneck speed, ramming into Bananas with a powerful Aerial Ace attack. Grunting, the Mankey isn't going to let this go unopposed. Before Indigo can get out of the way, Bananas catches him in the side with an explosive Dynamic Punch, knocking the poor Kecleon back a few feet.

Indigo took more damage this round, dropping near the bottom of his first third. Both good for two. TalkSick to order.

Round 3

Indigo jumps back to his feet, quickly recovering from the explosive punch he took last round. He does so just in time, noticing Bananas rushing toward him, arm raised in preparation for a Cross Chop. Mere seconds later, the gap has been closed and the Mankey's arm rapidly- woah, what just happened?! It appears that it's Bananas who has ended up injured, staggering backwards, eyes full of rage. I don't know about you guys, but personally, I suspect some Foul Play was involved. And let me tell you, Bananas is coming back with a vengeance. Whatever Indigo just did has sent Mankey flying into a fit of its signature rage. Wasting no time in its quest for revenge, Bananas quickly charges another Focus Blast. Of course, Indigo isn't just biding his time. He's been fostering an attack of his own, a Psybeam which he also promptly let loose. The two attacks pass each other, each hitting their targets for super effective hits.

Both Pokemon have entered their second thirds, though Indigo has dropped past the midpoint while Bananas is only just inside his own. Both Pokemon appear to be beginning to tire as well, Indigo more so than Bananas.

Round 4

This time, Indigo is the Pokemon raring for revenge. Charging forward, the Kecleon somehow finds the Seismic strength required to lift up and Toss his opponent. However, Bananas isn't going to go without a fight. As Indigo moves to slam him into the ground, his anger allows him to power through any fear he may have been experiencing and deliver another Dynamic Punch right to Indigo's head. From here, the round plays out similarly to last with one major difference: Bananas attack will be much stronger. The two tiring Pokemon charge up their respective attacks once more. Indigo finishes and fires his Psybeam before Mankey can complete his Focus Blast, catching him unprepared and causing him to release his attack a bit prematurely. The ball of fighting energy flies across the arena. Indigo does his best to escape the blast, but still takes the brunt of the attack. He falls to the ground and, despite the attacks weakened state, fails to get up.

Indigo is unable to battle! Deh, please send in your final Pokemon.

Bananas is on the cusp of his final third and exhausted.

Round 5

Recalling his fallen comrade, Deh releases Brennan, a Cubone a little more interested in her bone than most of her species. It's not long, however, before her analytic gaze shifts to the panting monkey facing her.

Quote:
Cubone (Ground): A Cubone's face is covered by a skull, which it will not remove willingly. Cubone may not use its respective bone attacks if it is not holding its bone, but to compensate attacks using their bone will deal x1.1 damage due to the hardness of the weapon. Its Skull Bash attack takes slightly less energy than normal to use. Cubone can see in the dark.
Spoiler: show
[Ground]: Ground-type Pokémon are considered to be immune to electricity while standing on the ground. If a Ground Pokémon is in the air, they take 0.75x the usual damage from Electric-type attacks, and will take neutral damage from Electric when wet. Ground types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water. Ground-type Pokémon are more adept at manipulating outdoor and 'natural' environments than other Pokémon and will spend less energy using Dig, Earthquake etc. This allows them to use Ground attacks on any surface, with the exception of Dig. They can also cause the ground to shake more vigorously when using Earthquake and Bulldoze.

Brennan wastes no time in pressing her advantage over poor, exhausted Bananas. She waves her bone in the air as if calling upon some Earthly Power. She then stomps, sending a wave of ground energy surging through the ground, which proceeds to violently erupt underneath Bananas' feet. Unhappy that his new challenger is doing so well so quickly, the Mankey gathers Grass energy to form a different explosive attack than usual. Grunting, he launches several Seeds that explode like Bombs at Brennan, who was already beginning to Rush forward with her next attack. Recovering from the super effective attack, she runs into physical range and begins to batter Bananas with her Bone. She ends her barrage with one great swing, sending Bananas staggering backwards.

Bananas plunges into his final third while Brennan begins to move through her first. Both Pokemon are good for two. TalkSick to order.

Round 6

Bananas may be low on health, but he certainly isn't out for the count. He coats his fist in Ice energy, closing the relatively small gap between himself and his opponent in preparation for a super-effective Punch. However, Brennan spins out of the way at the last second, managing to turn a head on attack into a glancing attack. She then uses the momentum from her spin to swing her bone into Bananas' side like some sort of Aerial Ace. The Mankey gasps in pain and falls to one knee as he arrives at the last dregs of his health. Still, he powers on. Regaining his feet, Bananas rams into his foe as she bangs her bone on the ground. His weakened Body Slam did some damage, but he rolls off of the Cubone unconscious as several of the nearby boulders crumble from the force of Brennan's Bulldoze attack.

Bananas has fainted! TalkSick, please send out your final Pokemon!

Brennan is just inside her second third and is still good for two. She has about enough flying energy remaining for a couple more Aerial Aces.
