Two guys with 3 syllables + 2 digits numbers for their names squaring off here. One's a returned veteran I don't know too well at all and the other is my old GT. This is sure to be fun.

A squad from Alto to start us off?

Thanks for reffing, Snorby! Although... Altocharizard has FIVE syllables, not three. Just... uh... yeah. Good luck, Alto, I hope this is a good rust-buster/leveller for you.

Amelia the Emolga (Level 1 Female)
Bio:
Spoiler: show
Amelia's first trainer was Amelia Earhart's secret grandson, Francis Earhart. Once Amelia was old enough, Francis took her on an adventure into the Johto region. While passing over the Whirl Islands, they had a run-in with Lugia and crashed. Francis ejected, but landed in the ocean and drowned. Amelia was caught in the wreckage and landed in the islands herself. As she regained her strength, brokenhearted, she watched Lugia, particularly its Aeroblast attack. In order to distract Lugia and escape the islands, she prepared a similar technique herself. I later found Amelia, who had been alone for two years, in Opelucid City in Unova and caught her there.
Signature Attack (FL): definitely not Aeroblast Spirit of Adventure
Using about 2 seconds to charge, Amelia focuses a heavy amount of Flying Energy into a small ball, which she then launches at a high speed at her opponent. It deals heavy flying damage if it connects and has a 20% chance of confusion (did that Emolga just use Aeroblast?) and a 20% chance of paralysis due to built-up static on Amelia's body. Both status conditions may occur concurrently.
Hidden Power: Water

Lizzy the Joltik (Level 2 Female) (Uplevel)
Bio:
Spoiler: show
When sparring with my Rhyhorn, Rhynaut, and my Growlithe, Seijuro, Lizzy noted that she seemed to lack significantly in Water Type abilities. When asking my Emolga, Amelia, about how to rectify this, Amelia was not quite certain at first. Stumped, Lizzy voluntarily sat out of the next training session. While watching, she noted an instance in which Amelia's Electro Ball curved the path of a Water Gun ever so slightly with the static charge. Lizzy's mind began racing, coming up with a solution. She found her answer in a storm one day. While the rest of my team and I found shelter, Lizzy found a way to infuse electricity into rainwater and attack accordingly.
Signature Attack: HydroShock Cannon! (EL/WA)
Only usable in the rain, Lizzy uses an extreme amount of Electric Energy to begin collecting the rainwater in a static Electric basin. This process takes about five seconds. She then manipulates the basin to launch the water at her opponent at a high pressure akin to Hydro Cannon, hitting them for Heavy Water type damage. This requires no Water type energy on the part of Lizzy, but it will wear her out as though she used a Hyper Beam. Lizzy can only use this move once per match.
Hidden Power: Fire
Bugcatcher's Token attached

Joshua the Pinsir (Level 1 Male)
No sig
Hidden Power: Rock
Pinsirite attached

Grimm the Farfetch'd (Level 1 Male)
No sig
Hidden Power: Ground

Liv the Murkrow (Level 1 Female)
No sig
Hidden Power: Poison

Felicia the Lileep (Level 2 Female)
Bio:
Spoiler: show
Deep in the rainforest, at the base of the Tree of Atonement, there is a seed. In years to come it will grow, without sunlight or water it will feed, not caring about the sanctity of the Tree of Atonement, not needing to know. When it is full grown, it will choke the Tree of Atonement, and all will be turned on its head. Right will be left, up will be down, and no one will be safe. Except the ones who were in danger. This seed is called the Seed of Unforgiveness. Felicia, the Princess of Vice, is its mother. The years of holding the Seed in her body has left her with the ability to call upon a small portion of its powers.
Special Technique (GR): Realm of Unforgiveness
Using Significant Grass Energy and a Move, Felicia surrounds herself and her opponent with the Vines of Unforgiveness, which are indestructible and last for five rounds. While within the Vines of Unforgiveness, the battlefield acts as though it is under the effects of Trick Room and an Inverse Battle. It is impossible to manipulate the environment in the Vines of Unforgiveness. The round that Felicia uses this technique, she can only use this technique. However, it doesn't count as a one-mover as Felicia feels as though she has used the technique twice, despite only using significant energy. Felicia can only use this Technique once per battle.
Hidden Power: Fire

Amelia, dear, start us off.

I meant to say 4, not 3 xp. All-Toe-Char-Zard and Real-Miss-Turr-Game. Anyway!

We find ourselves on a football field with quite a few onlookers packing the surrounding stadium, cheering as two young men step onto the field. Giving each other respectful nods, they both release their first Pokemon into the fray. Alto unleashes an Anorith, while RMG treats us with Amelia the Emolga. Anorith fires a small orb of rock energy towards Amelia, who takes the hit and drops like a rock. Scrambling to her feet, she releases her own orb of STAB energy, using the residual electricity to disappear back into her Poke Ball as Anorith hisses in pain from the attack. In Amelia's place at the end of the round is Felicia the Lileep. It looks to be a battle of the Hoenn Fossils as the round closes...

Anorith took little damage and is fresh. Amelia also didnt take much damage and is resting in her ball, while Felicia is untouched.

Sorry for the wait- TA.

Battle of the Hoenn fossils, it seems. Felicia kicks off the round with a slew of rock energy orbs, hurling them toward Anorith, who cringes from the blow. Alas, Felicia gets no boost, much to the Lileep's dismay. Anorith is delighted by this, and crosses his scythes, sending out a powerful construct of bug energy in the shape of an X, toward Lileep. Felicia shrieks in pain, and with a glint of revenge in her eye, forms some Rocks out of thin air, causing them to tumble onto her opponent, berating the Anorith with rock after rock, causing him intense pain. Anorith responds the way he did last time, with an X Shaped energy construct. Kinda boring to write the same move twice, so I'll just say what I said before: Anorith crosses his scythes, sending out a powerful construct of bug energy in the shape of an X, toward Lileep. Felicia shrieks in pain.

Both sides end the round nearly tied in health. Felicia is raring to go still while Anorith remains good for two.

Apologies for delaying this further, but before I can ref I need to get clarification from RMG:

What do you mean by Widespread Rock Tomb? To my knowledge there's nothing called that but then Rock Tomb has a kind of confusing descript so I feel as though it's fair to allow you to clarify.

Ah, well, I meant Rock Slide. My mistake. Also: "hey when you hit your Magic rock, go for area, not focusedness" but if that's not cool, that's also okay.

So Anorith kicks off the round by cloning himself 3 whole times! Felicia doesn't really like that, though, and creates a huge boulder, crushing it into a bunch of smaller rocks, and sending them tumbling away. As an attack that normally is not widespread, it doesn't hit all 4 Anorith. It does, however, hit three, and one of them happens to be the correct one! The final clone dissipates as Anorith reels in pain, though he clearly did not take anywhere near full damage from the attack. Charging up Bug energy into his scythes, he sends the X-Shaped energy construct forward. Felicia, however, manages to pull her Barrier up before the construct hits her, saving her a lot of pain.

Felicia carves out a bit of a lead for herself as Anorith drops near the midpoint. Felicia can keep going for a little while but Anorith probably wouldn't mind a break, though he could scrape together a two as well. Barrier intact but not particularly sturdy, half psychic offtype for Felicia.

I have to ask; Felicia has used the same number of consecutive two-movers as Anorith has, with relatively similar energy costs. Why is there such a difference in exhaustion?

But Anorith used a one-mover in that initial round. Shouldn't that count as a "breather" round, even if used from fresh 'mon?

Yup, it had a one mover. That's not as good as the no mover Felicia had though. If it was a two mover, Anorith would actually need a break as opposed to wanting one but being able to go without one just fine.

Anorith, sing for me. Screech to interrupt that Giga Drain, then smash a Brick Break through the screen and into Lileep.

Felicia kicks off the round by creating some tendrils of Grass-Typed energy... only for Anorith to shriek out a disruption, causing them to peter out before they could do anything useful. How sad. Felicia then creates a Rock Slide, which Anorith takes head on, letting out a small hiss of pain as he does so. His distaste for the damage he took slowly morphs into a vile grin on his face, though, as he inches toward Felicia, who feels confident protected by her Barrier... until Anorith smashes right through it, hitting Felicia for a very strong hit. Felicia shrieks in pain, ready for revenge, as the round closes.

Felicia was refreshed by the forced one-mover, while Anorith could probably use a break. Anorith slips into the final third while Felicia crashes well past the midpoint.

Strafe and wrap its head in a String Shot, being sure to cover the eyes. Dig to avoid an attack headed your way, then strike.
