Firebreather’s Token - Attatched to Lava King
- The Firebreather’s Token burns brightly with the dazzling light of liberty and freedom. It can be attached to Fire-type Pokémon only and greatly enhances their offensive abilities. The wearer’s Fire-type moves will burn hotter than usual and cause small amounts of splash damage as they erupt upon the target, the violent explosions spreading shock and awe in the immediate area. Fire-type moves which have a secondary effect such as burning or item destruction are twice as likely to have the effect triggered when used by the wearer, these effects also being slightly more potent. This item causes the move Fling to deal Fire-type damage if it is thrown. This token may be purchased during the week long Independence Day event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.

Lava King: Slugma - 4 Male
Biography: "Lame" & "Halting" these where words used by the ignorant to describe Lava King's former master Hephaestus, but he knew better. As the god of volcanoes and a master craftsman the forge master made many things including automatons of many a metal...and unknown to most he also crafted one of pure magma. This being, this unknown creation of liquid flame did what most would think something as inorganic, as manufactured as Lava King could...he loved, he loved his "father" Hephaestus. This emotion would come to fuel him as time after time he saw how the other gods treated his creator, causing him to swell & grow with anger so much so that the growth was quite literal. Upon the 2nd time Hepheastus was tossed from Olympus the anger that had been swelling within him took over Lava King's being causing him to do the unthinkable, summoning the powers of his creator he caused the minerals of the forge be they of earthen quality or stone & he brought them down with the fiery fury of the forge upon those who wronged his "father"...which they didn't really get to damaged by cuz..well gods...furious at Lava King's arrogance the gods of Olympus banished Lava King to the realm of PASBL where he would fight for all eternity.
Special Training: Giant of the Forge
Due to his anger, desire to please his father, and the powers he channeled in his final assault the following is true of Lava King:
Lava King has twice as much Ground type energy.
He is now roughly the size & weight of a Snorlax
He is capable of firing Lava Plume from any part of his body.

Due to taking pride in what he was created to be he will never evolve
Lava King's anger causes him to be more susceptible to rage inducing attacks.
Because of his mental issues he can’t use Amnesia, Yawn, Rest, Sleep Talk, Round, or Stockpile.

Winter: Florges - 4 Female
Biography: Winter's story is that of two desperate ones. The Flower: Deep within the forests surrounding Snowpoint there once was a flower unlike any other for rather for it was as if it where made out of the very landscape, with a bud of snow and a stem of pure ice. Many came for this flower, with rumors of it having had been blessed by some spirit or another but none would ever find it, the harsh climates surrounding it killing off all those who searched...Winter: Shunned by her kind for not being able to bond with a flower Winter wandered across the world in hopes of finding a flower that wouldn't reject her until one day she overheard talk of the legendary Ice Lotus, a truly unique specimen of snow and ice. Having long given up on trying to bond with regular flowers Winter was filled with hope that perhaps this thing of the cold would be the first thing in a long time to warm up to her, and so he resolved to find it. After months of being blown about by the harsh winds and biten with cold it seemed at Winter's search would come to a premature end, but just as all seemed lost a bright glow engulfed her, before she knew it, her and the object of her search was with her, the shunned caretaker & the sought after bloom of death, became one.
Special Trait: Ice Lotus
Winter's SC grants infinite Ice type energy as opposed to infinite Grass, in addition to this all of her grass type offensive moves are now Ice type with all of them being made out of ice or snow depending on what the ref thinks most fits. She has 1 HB of grass type energy. She also now knows Freeze-Dry with the same effectiveness of an Ice type, additionally she now knows Horn Leach & Wood Hammer, creating constructs of Ice to perform them. Because the above is tied to the nature of the flower she's fused with Gastro Acid will not disable any part of this sig only managing to cause her a great deal of discomfort in the round it is used.
HP: Ground

Hassam: Scizor - 4 Female
Biography: An Ex-Soldier in a pokemon army Hassam was around plenty of different species, everything from fighting types to small creatures such as Surkits and even legendary figures like Genesect, during her time in this army she learned how to adapt many of the techniques she saw them use during their every day tasks and battles to improve herself out on the field.
Special Training: Gliding Menace
When she is first sent out Hassam will expend Good energy (not counting towards exhaustion) to begin expelling a glowing substance from under her feet, this allowing her to glide or skate on surfaces much in the same way a Surskit does & granting her a bonus to her land based speed. Additionally she has learned Rolling Kick, High-Jump Kick & Blaze Kick with these techniques being performed with more agilely than normal. She has enough Fire energy to use the latter technique thrice per battle.
HP: Psychic

Murdoc: Banette - 4 Male
Biography: Most would deem murder to be despicable and abhorrent, to Murdoc however, there is nothing more hilarious. He loves to play with and torment his victims, laughing as their sanity is broken right alongside with their soul. No one truly knows why Murdoc is this way, nor why the soul that possesses him is altogether different kind of mad, but what is for certain, is that when he's having a good time, his current "playmate" is not.
Special Training: Prankster
Any non-offensive move executed by Murdoc will appear to happen instantaneously, leaving little time for the foe to react or counter.
Murdoc has ceased knowing Hyper Beam, Giga Impact & Infestation.
HP: Bug

Gruke: Conkeldurr - 4 Male
Biography: Gruke served as a master-at-arms under the musketeer trio for many battles, the clever fighter having learned a special technique of his own.
Special Technique: Sacred Chains
Gruke's naturally held item (Timber as Timburr, Girder as Gurdurr, Concrete Pillars as Conkeldurr) are now attached to translucent chains made of energy with the other end being wrapped around his right arm (or one on each in the case of Conkeldurr) and is adept at both swinging and stopping them. He is able to extend and retract these chains like a Hitmonlee does its legs. His punching moves may be used through his naturally held item(s).
HP: Grass

Malorne: Stantler - 4 Male
Biography: Malorn is so normal, even his abnormal things are normal....he's very normal.
Special Technique: Normally Psycho
All of Malorn's none-damaging Psychic type moves now use Normal type energy instead of Psychic. He may do the same with his offensive ones, but this is optional and be ordered with the format of "Normal, [Move]"
HP: Fighting

Aeria: female Clefable
Signature Move: Mythical Meteor (FA)
Using high Fairy energy, Aeria summons a large, flaming meteor of Fairy energy from above her head, throwing it towards the foe, dealing high Fairy damage, with a 30% chance of burn. She loses Swagger and Hyper Beam, and no longer resists Bug, instead taking neutral damage from it.
Hidden Power: Ground

Level 5:

Mia: female Azumarill
Signature Move: Cold Blaze
Mia leaps up high into the air akin to Bounce, covering herself with a cloak of blue flame, using significant Fire energy and minor Water energy. She comes down upon the foe, dealing heavy Fire damage, the intense cold giving a 30% chance to give a burn (though this works like a regular burn.) Mia has the type energy to use this move twice.
Hidden Power: Flying

Interceptor: male Skuntank
Signature Move: Dark Storm
Interceptor, using heavy Dark energy, charges up a large orb of darkness, firing it at the foe to deal heavy Dark damage, causing severe paralysis, lighter paralysis even occurring with a glancing blow. However, the technique is rather slow. This move is essentially a Dark-typed Zap Cannon.
Hidden Power: Ice


Flora: Female Florges
Special Training : Sunblast (FI)
Flora now has unlimited Fire energy, losing almost all Grass energy in exchange, retaining enough to fuel two Solar Beams. She gains the moves Inferno, Heat Wave, Overheat, Will-o-Wisp and Mystical Fire. In addition, all her Grass-type attacks except Solar Beam become Fire-typed, gaining the appearance of flames, or getting coated in fire if it is physical, at the referee’s discretion (making them able to burn through certain objects and attacks as the only added effect, retaining all properties of said attacks, for example, Energy Ball’s chance to lower special defence.). She now loses Swagger, Round and Moonblast. She is now easily angered.
Hidden Power: Ground

I'm so sorry

Welcome, one and all, to the wonderfully innocent-looking Playground Arena. We've evacuated the children from the immediate vicinity for this slugfest between trainers Machamp-X and Zelphon. The former unclips a ball from her belt and releases Aeria, a Pokemon of her's I've seen once before. Let's check the stats on this combatant!

Clefable (Fairy): Clefable are a bit reclusive and naturally shy, so they don’t fight enthusiastically around large amounts of people and are easily intimidated. Clefable can jump high and far and can levitate, though not with much speed or agility. They can see in the dark. Due to having a wide variety of energy available, it is less proficient at maximizing the use, resulting in suffering from slightly less type energy.

[Fairy]: Fairy-types are generally pure-hearted and gregarious. They prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically in them, but they will not be off put by urban environments. Any attack used by a Fairy-type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. They are immune to the damaging effects of Dragon-typed energy.


Zelphon, seeing his opponent's choice, decides on Malorne, a Stantler. Let's check out what this guy can do.

Stantler (Normal): Stantler's horns are used for its Hypnosis attack. They can create illusions more easily with their Hypnosis attack thanks to these horns, which makes the illusions more believable and effective. They are also familiar with the Psychic-type. Any attack executed with their hooves is 1.2x as powerful.

[Normal]: Normal-type Pokémon are able to use support moves to greater effect than other Pokémon, with them being performed slightly quicker and being slightly more potent. Being beings of great balance, they benefit more from the positive effects of weather and other arena affecting moves, but will not suffer as badly from the negative effects. In the ASB, Normal-types take resisted damage from the damaging effects of Ghost-type energy.


Malorne kicks the round off by digging his heels in the ground and glaring down the happy-looking fairy, his horns faintly glowing white. Wait, what's this? Aeria's face is filled with mischief as she giggles in delight, bubbles of dark, unsettling energy oozing from her pores. The pitch black bubbles dart towards Malorne at a nigh untraceable speed, latching onto him and quickly sinking into his skin. Cursed but otherwise uninterrupted, the Stantler grunts lightly in exertion as his glowing horns brighten further, a faint cubic arrangement of translucent panes materializing around Aeria. The Clefable flashes a wicked grin at her opponent, rather proud of her steal.

Malorne is rightly angry about this, and decides to get a little bit of payback on his smug opponent. His horns once more are lit with a dim white glow as he opens his maw, a brilliant ivory beam bursting forth. Stantler gives his foe a satisfied smirk as the assault strikes home, pushing the fairy back a few feet. Aeria quickly picks herself up from Malorne's attack, only to notice a faint, high-pitched ringing in her delicate ears. More irritated than anything, the Clefable giggles happily as she takes off towards Malorne and draws back her now energy coated fist. With an explosive thrust, she punches Malorne right in the kisser, the deer groaning in agony from the targeted strike. Aeria follows through with her attack and ascends a bit, before quickly stabilizing her levitation.


:Malorne isn't too happy right now. He took a powerful hit from Clefable and has an ugly scuff mark on his nose, but doesn't look too banged up. Aeria, on the other hand, looks more or less undamaged, although her ears are still ringing a bit. Aeria is feeling pretty fresh still, while Malorne is panting very lightly. He should be fine as long as he doesn't take too many rounds like that one. Aeria hovers a few feet above Malorne, not terribly far away.
