UPN PASBL Gym Match: KamenAeons vs Miror

Oh shit it's babbu Kamen's first GL match gogogogo

5v5
Equilevel (GL's choice)
Slapstick
48 Hour DQ
Switch = OK
The Sky Gardens
Having rented out the old Dual Wing Sky from Hana (without permission, of course), this arena is more or less what it was back in its heyday; a big-arse cloud in the sky, 15 metres in diameter, relatively thick, but not particularly great for digging. The vast expanses of the arena are perfect for Flying type Pokemon to stretch their wings (or whatever their flying appendages are anyway). As such, they will fight more enthusiastically because of it. On the other hand, Pokemon that favour dark environments will not particularly enjoy the oversaturation of light this arena has, fighting less enthusiastically.

Battles in the Sky Gardens will take place during the late mornings, where the sun is starting to intensify. Weather's a bit warmer than it once was, a cool 30-35 C. Oh, wait, did I say cool? I mean hot, sunny, and really dry, your typical Sunny Day. Weather changing techniques will have very little effect up here, sans the occasional Hippowdon Sandstorm. Electric moves will become significantly weaker in this heat and less accurate from longer distances, as will Ice moves. On the plus side, a cooling breeze will blow through the arena at all times to keep battling Pokemon from getting uncomfortable with the heat. A strong updraft blows around the perimeter of the arena, aiding Pokemon who fly outside of the arena's physical boundaries and preventing things from falling off super fast. As such, Gravity will have a significantly reduced effect in the arena.

The cloudy ground has been spruced up with a well-trimmed grassy turf, the Gym Leader's former roots with nature having turned the empty cloud into a thriving garden of small shrubbery and sturdy trees in what would be an impossible environment for such things, allowing moves that require living plant matter to be usable. Despite these changes, moves that require rocks, such as Rock Slide and Rock Tomb, will not work in this environment.*Nature Power and moves of its ilk will also fail due to the fickleness of the wind.

The old team of Noctowl, Pidgeot and Swellow have once again returned to their post to save Pokemon who fall off the cloud and have no means of getting back up.*

*cue Hana recording*

"They're quite skilled at what they do and can save even the biggest, heaviest Pokemon with no real problem, which is certainly preferable to your Pokemon falling to its death. There will be no penalty for falling off the cloud or forcing a 'mon off the cloud, though refs may give you sharp reprimands for fightin' dirty. And no, you can't attack them. Save your typespam for my Pokemon, please."

If you can tame the wicked winds and emerge victorious, you'll be awarded the Fleeting Badge!

Fleeting Badge
Attachable Badge
The Fleeting Badge is awarded to those who prove their mettle against KamenAeons in the Sky Garden Gym. The opal set in a whirlwind of colour represents the changeability of wind, and how easily the air of a battle can be turned away from a looming defeat to a close victory.
Badge Effect: Second Wind
The Pokemon attached with this badge will find themselves more alert and limber, their mind able to track distant prey and incoming danger with ease.*With a keen eye, they will find their attack accuracy significantly improved, able to hit their desired marks more often than not, even with impaired eyesight.*They will also become significantly more resistant to negative effects (status conditions, mental status, curses, debuffs etc.), any which take hold of the holder being less potent. The effects of Second Wind will, naturally, become stronger when the holder is trailing in health,*their mindset becoming pretty much unflappable in the face of bad odds.

OH SHIT

Thanks for reffing, SoS.

"Let's have a wonderful party now, shall we, Miror?"

Packing my spiffy Fleeting Badge, Birdkeeper's Token, and Pidgeotite! (I need to start saving up for a Historic or something.)

Code:
Fleeting Badge - attached to Carmilla the Gliscor
Attachable Badge
The Fleeting Badge is awarded to those who prove their mettle against KamenAeons in the Sky Garden Gym. The opal set in a whirlwind of colour represents the changeability of wind, and how easily the air of a battle can be turned away from a looming defeat to a close victory.
Badge Effect: Second Wind
The Pokemon attached with this badge will find themselves more alert and limber, their mind able to track distant prey and incoming danger with ease.*With a keen eye, they will find their attack accuracy significantly improved, able to hit their desired marks more often than not, even with impaired eyesight. They will also become significantly more resistant to negative effects (status conditions, mental status, curses, debuffs etc.), any which take hold of the holder being less potent. The effects of Second Wind will, naturally, become stronger when the holder is trailing in health, their mindset becoming pretty much unflappable in the face of bad odds.

Birdkeeper's Token - attached to Egusa the Mantine
The Birdkeeper's Token signifies freedom of thought and movement that transcends the art of the possible. It can be attached to Flying type pokémon and greatly enhances their natural abilities. They will be significantly faster and more agile than their peers in whatever their usual mode of transportation is, able to travel further and with more precision and dexterity than others without expending much more energy. At ref's discretion, they will be more able to dodge attacks and harder to evade when using their own. This token may be purchased
during the week long Easter event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.

Pidgeotite - attached to Aya the Pidgeot
This item allows Pidgeot to Mega Evolve into Mega Pidgeot when held during battle.
Windy May: Female Aerodactyl
Aerodactyl (Rock/Flying): Aerodactyl are a terrifying sight and its fear-inducing attacks are more effective. Aerodactyl's biting moves are 1.2x more powerful than those of other Pokémon. Though not particularly agile, Aerodactyl are powerful fliers. They use less energy when carrying other Pokémon and can lift 1.5x the weight that most other Flying-type Pokémon could. Being fossils, their Ancient Power attack will boost slightly more often.
Bio: "Do you know how terrible and sad it is to lose family?"
Special Attack: Primal Fang [FLYING/ROCK]
Charging heavy energy into her jaws, Windy May chomps down hard on her target, dealing heavy damage to the foe and removing all stat boosts (if any) on the opponent, be it by species characteristics, move use, or passive effects. Stat boosts granted by species characteristics removed by this move will be restored in five rounds on average, depending on round length, but boosts from passive effects and move use will not be restored. If there are no stat boosts on the foe, this move will reduce their defensive stats by 10% for three rounds instead. Windy May may use two variations of this move, Primal Fang uses Rock energy and deals Rock damage, while Tyrant Fang uses Flying energy and deals Flying damage.
Hidden Power: Electric

Egusa: Male Mantine
Mantine (Water/Flying): Mantine are fish, thus they are helpless on land but elegant in the water. They can fly quite well, though they are incapable of holding position indefinitely. Whilst they can easily take off from the water, they will have trouble doing so from land. They take slightly less damage from special moves than other Water types.
Bio: "For Lady Souryuu!"
Special Technique: Aichi Ascent (FLYING)
Using solid energy, Egusa gains a burst of speed akin to that of a sustained Quick Attack to allow for evasion or quick approach and allows flight out of water until he lands. This also produces a sonic boom that temporarily stuns the foe, being more effective on those sensitive to sound. As such, Egusa will be very likely to follow up with another attack before the foe can react. Aichi Ascent does no damage and is not restricted to land or water-based combat, the sonic boom being generated in both situations.
Hidden Power: Ground
Attached Token: Birdkeeper's Token

Arthur: Male Skarmory
Skarmory (Steel/Flying): Skarmory are used to living in harsh environments so piercing or scratching attacks do less damage than normal against them. Their wings also provide slight resistance against physical attacks when tucked at their side. The undersides of their wings are sharp, granting them a 1.2x boost if used to attack.
Bio: "Come forth, o holy spear that shines at the end of the world!
Special Attack: Rhongomyniad (GROUND)
Quickly channelling considerable Ground energy and light Steel energy into his wings, Arthur summons forth the holy spear using a feather as a catalyst. Arthur can then either launch Rhongomyniad from his wing, or dive-bomb the foe with Rhongomyniad in tow to deal considerable Ground damage, ignoring any physical defense boosts they may have. Rhongomyniad is capable of causing deep piercing wounds in Realistic battles. The spear is imbued with a sealing curse, preventing the foe from using moves that cost more than considerable energy for the next round and a half. Arthur has the Ground energy to use this move twice, losing Brave Bird and Curse as a result.
Hidden Power: Water

Gaptahl: Male Charizard
Charizard (Fire/Flying): Charizard are slow and cumbersome when on land but are able fliers. They are hot tempered and resistant to fear attacks. However, they are easily angered and confused. They have flaming tails, which can be used for illumination and may burn foes if there is prolonged contact. Charizard have slightly more Dragon energy than other Fire-types and, as starter Pokémon, their Fire-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/3 health.
Bio: "It would be wise for you to know that dragons and humans are not usually allies. Nor are they enemies. Never forget that."
Signature Move: Thunder Carnage (ELECTRIC)
Letting out a terrifying roar that can scare small Pokemon as his body crackles with electricity, Gaptahl sends solid arcs of electricity that move quickly through the air towards the opponent. These deal heavy Electric damage, with a 30% chance to cause paralysis. If Gaptahl is paralysed and/or confused before using Thunder Carnage, there is a 50% chance (this being used before the standard paralysis and confusion rolls) that the electricity coursing through him will essentially zap himself free from paralysis and confusion before he roars. Thunder Carnage uses major Electric energy to use, and Gaptahl has the Electric energy to use this twice. He takes moderate recoil damage from successfully damaging an opponent with Thunder Carnage.
Hidden Power: Water

Aya: Female Pidgeot
Pidgeot (Normal/Flying): Pidgeot are some of the fastest common flying Pokémon and have amazing speed and agility in the air, out flying most Pokémon. Any wind attack used by a Pidgeot is 1.2x more powerful. They also uses less energy when carrying other Pokémon and can lift 1.5x the weight that most bird Pokémon can. In its Mega Forme, its wings grow even more powerful, able to conjure wind attacks in nearly an instant. Its wind attacks are extremely fast to produce, requiring barely a second to produce something even as powerful as a Hurricane. This power also allows it to reach high speeds in very little time. It also has extremely keen aim, making its moves very difficult to dodge.
Bio: "BIG SCOOP GET!"
Signature Move: Illusionary Dominance (Grass)
Focusing heavy Grass energy into her wings, Aya flaps them to create a strong wind like Gust. However, this conjures two projections of her being to form as the winds rush towards the opponent at incredible speeds on par with Aya herself using Quick Attack, each one slamming into them for decent physical Grass damage as they explode into leaves. These projections each have a 20% chance to severely reduce accuracy by 20%, rolled separately, and the debuffs lasting for 2-3 rounds depending on general round length. This move is a wind-based attack that manifests a physical form to deal damage, if the provided description is currently inadequate, and Aya has the Grass energy to use this twice.
Hidden Power: Fighting
Attached Item: Pidgeotite

Carmilla: Female Gliscor
Gliscor (Ground/Flying): Gliscor are not true fliers. Instead, they glide. If needed to, however, they are able to fly for short distances, and their claws allow them to grab and climb relatively smooth surfaces. Upon evolving, their claws became much stronger and attacks that use them are 1.2x stronger then normal. They are also able to use a form of echolocation, allowing them to see through illusions, reveal hidden Pokémon and have a better sense of their surroundings in low-visibility situations. Gliscor can see in the dark and fight more enthusiastically at night. They remain immune to Electric moves when in flight, though are affected as normal in wet conditions.
Bio: "The blood of many fuels the beauty of one."
Special Attack: Phantom Maiden (GROUND)
Sending good Ground energy into the ground, Carmilla forces numerous spiked pillars to erupt from beneath the foe and slams them together, trapping them in a sturdier variant of Rock Tomb and dealing light Ground damage. Designed to torture, the shock of being crushed and imprisoned in earth reduces the foe's defensive stats by 10%, and Phantom Maiden deals minor typeless damage for every round they spend trapped inside. If there is no sturdy earth or if Carmilla is airborne with no way to quickly make contact with a grounded surface, Carmilla will expend considerable energy instead of good energy to use this move, firing a beam of light from her claw into the ground before the pillars erupt.
Hidden Power: Ground
Attached Badge: Fleeting Badge

Sorry about the delays, mental illness combined with approaching finals make for a great timesuck. Good luck to you as well Kamen, and thanks Josh for reffing you cutie ;c

Attachables

Glalitite: Attached to Titan (Glalie)
This item allows Glalie to Mega Evolve into Mega Glalie when held during battle.

Clan Ru: Male Tyranitar (Uplevel)
Hidden Power: Grass
Signature Move: Special Training - Distressing Darkness
Clan Ru constantly exudes an aura of fear and intimidation at all times, which breaks the Fighting spirit of any would-be attackers, causing all Fighting energy that approaches him to dissipate into typeless energy. This also means that all of Clan Ru's own Fighting attacks are considered typeless, and he's unable to use Focus Blast or Focus Punch at all. He also loses Hyper Beam, Thunder, Blizzard and Fire Blast.

Titan: Male Glalie
Glalitite Attached
Hidden Power: Fairy
Signature Move: Special Attack - Aura Fang (FT)
After charging his teeth with Fighting energy, Titan bites the target. In addition to dealing solid damage, the bite may also make the target drowsy or cause the target to flinch. Titan has also gained access to Thunder Fang and Fire Fang. He has the ability to use each of these fangs thrice per match.

Jedondan: Genderless Magnezone
Hidden Power: Ground
Signature Move: Special Attack - Screw Shot (ST)
Jedondan creates many large, steel screws (about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide at the head) which have extremely sharp points. These 10 screws launch in whatever direction Jedondan chooses (regardless of which way it's facing), moving quickly towards the target, dealing up to heavy piercing damage for high energy. They also function similarly to Psybeam in that Jedondan has control over their course. In realistic, this attack can puncture the opponent and potentially embed themselves in the opponent as well, physical damage being up to the ref's discretion.

Vin: Genderless Lunatone
Hidden Power: Fighting
Signature Move: Special Training - Ebbs and Flows
Vin has gained access to the Ice moves Powder Snow and Freeze-Dry, the latter being preformed as if used by an Ice type. Being a lunar body, Vin has control over the tides and has also gained access to Surf. It has the energy for two uses of the move, which take no penalty to their power when used out of the water.

Pancake: Female Stunfisk
Hidden Power: Fire
Special Training - I Can Show You the World
Pancake now has a flight ceiling of 15 feet for her levitation. She is also able to move a bit faster through the air than others of her species. Pancake can no longer use the moves Magnet Rise or Eerie Impulse.

Tythonia: Female Banette
Hidden Power: Fighting
Signature Move: Special Technique - The Voodooisante's Zipper
Tythonia unzips her mouth, unleashing the horrors of the malicious energy within. This energy can then be used to either cloak herself or her opponent, with differing effects. When cloaking herself, Tythonia becomes much more violent and malign, which results in her receiving a boost similar to Geomancy, except boosting her Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. When cloaking her opponent, however, they become tormented by the essence of hatred exuding from the surrounding energy, completely disrupting the opponent and having a 75% chance of either making them flinch, confused, or be fully petrified by the potency of the energy, an effect similar to Tri Attack (rolling first for whether the status occurs and if it happens, then rolling for which status would occur). This technique makes Tythonia intimidating to the opponent she enveloped for the remainder of the match. This technique can only be used once per match and costs significant energy. Tythonia loses access to Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Trick, Natural Gift, Attract, and Return, the more powerful moves because she channels most of her powerful life energy needed for them into this attack, and the others due to the hatred that courses through her veins not allowing for gifts or friendly relations. She also becomes much more straightforward, thus why she's less Tricky.

Tythonia, let's begin.

Their Curse attack only cuts a quarter of their health as opposed to half, but the target will take the damage it would have taken if Banette had sacrificed half of their health. Banette's Curse does not fade away at all if Banette is KOed or far from its target. They resist moves which induce sleep and will wake up faster than usual when put to sleep against their will. If another Pokémon makes contact with them using a move, there is a 20% chance that that move will be disabled for a period of three rounds. In its Mega Forme, Banette transforms into a spiteful trickster spirit, capable of manipulating its foe without them even noticing. Any non-offensive move executed by Banette will appear to happen instantaneously, leaving little time for the foe to react or counter.
[Ghost]: Ghost-type Pokémon fight more enthusiastically at night, though are not put off by fighting in the day, and can see in the dark. They are resistant to attacks which induce confusion or other mental effects, impossible to poison and immune to telekinetic-based Psychic moves if not in the solid state (though will still take damage from Psychic moves regardless of state). Their fear inducing attacks are more effective than those used by other Pokémon. Ghost-types are not fully immune to Normal, Fighting or typeless attacks as in the games, taking neutral damage, but some may change their state in order to evade physical moves (see Ghost Pokémon information for details).

[Fire]: Fire-types fight most enthusiastically in hot and dry conditions. They are extremely difficult to burn and most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time (indefinitely in the case of the Magmar and Slugma lines). If a Fire Pokémon has an exposed flame somewhere on its body, it will take a small amount of extra damage if liquid water hits the flame. Otherwise, Fire-type Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short (except in the case of the Magmar and Slugma lines, who will take damage the longer they are in the water).
[Flying]: Flying-type Pokémon are faster and more agile in their chosen mode of transportation than other Pokémon. Because of their skill in controlling their movement, they are more difficult to evade when using physical moves and more likely to succeed in dodging attacks. Flying type Pokémon are affected normally by the damaging effects of Ground-typed energy and take neutral damage from Ground type moves in the ASB. They fight more enthusiastically in spacious arenas but are not put off by cramped conditions.

Hidden Power: Water
Ugh, I'm getting altitude sick up here. Welcome to the Flying Gym; literally ON the clouds; the site of the Sky Gardens, because obviously clouds can grow plants and support the weight of people and Pokémon, what are you a dumbass? Our newbie Flying GL Kamen takes on the rookie LO Miror in a match sure to give thrills, chills, and maybe we'll see some mons take spills. Opening for the gym leader is Gaptahl the Charizard, the disappointingly smol dragon and the challenger chooses the creepy-ass doll ghost Banette. Both combatants immediately begin yelling at each other as loudly as they can; showcasing the gravity of this crucial match on the Gym Circuit as the summer season officially begins, with the end of exams and whatnot. Hey, maybe SoS will finally get their* match with Sneaze.

... Maybe.

Nah probably not.

But as the combatant Pokémon scream, Tythonia, the Banette, amps up the spoop and the high-pitched nature of a Screech in order to disorient the Charizard, who I remind you is not THAT big a dragon, allowing her to grab the advantage! Pressing further; her eyes glow golden as she follows up with a flash of light, dazing the already bamboozled Gaptahl and dizzying him for good measure - that's not too bad a confusion given how early we are in this match but the Screech comboed well with it, and as a result, the Heat Wave is misfired; aiming too high, though Tythonia still gets mildly singed for her efforts.

Gaptahl is semi-confused and Tythonia avoided a burn but both are good energy-wise and health-wise.

*hi I'm out as non-binary to UPN now pls use they/their as my pronouns kthx mwahhhhh

Good enough.

Tythonia, your work is done for now. Rise, Clan Ru.

Take advantage of his current state and ream him with a Stone Edge, followed by Smacking him Down out of the air.

Unleash Thunder Carnage if you can. Bat away the incoming Smack Down with Steel Wing as you charge into Clan Ru, trying to use what momentum you have left to rise up somewhat. If you're able to smack it right back at him, that'd be icing on the cake.

Their Earthquake attacks are the most powerful among Pokémon and deal 1.2x more damage, with Tyranitar being familiar with the Ground type. They also carry over its tough hide, which reduces all damage it receives from physical attacks to 0.8x. A trainer may order Tyranitar to eat the soil as a move. Tyranitar will eat a mouthful, increasing its health and energy a little. Poisonous soil will have the opposite effect, damaging Tyranitar instead of healing it. Their bodies are full of sand, and they are able to use the sand to produce Sandstorms, instead of relying on the sand in the arena. This Sandstorm attack is more persistent than those used by other Pokémon and will last longer and deal more damage. In its Mega Forme, it is fairly resistant to physical strikes - only powerful physical attacks will deal noticeable damage to them. Much like before its evolution, Tyranitar can produce sandstorms in nearly an instant. Sandstorms produced this way are thicker, more violent and require little concentration to maintain. Against any Pokémon that would reasonably be afraid of it, it's fear-inducing attacks are more effective.
[Rock]: Rock-type Pokémon generally have hard bodies, which makes them resistant to physical hits and projectiles. They are difficult to burn or poison and prefer hot environments to cold ones. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible. They are adept at controlling rocks and will use less energy than other Pokémon when using Rock Tomb, Stealth Rock etc. to manipulate the arena. They have slightly more Ground energy than other Pokémon if they naturally learn attacks of that type.
[Dark]: Dark-types can see in the dark. They fight more enthusiastically at night and are more effective at hiding in dark environments than other Pokémon, though light does not adversely affect them. They are immune to the damaging effects of Psychic-type energy but may still be lifted and manipulated by telekinesis. They are slightly better at tricking opponents than other Pokémon.
Tythonia; her confusing work done; retreats to her Pokéball for a... well I was going to say "well-deserved" break but she was out for one fucking round, so it's kind of like getting up from bed to go to the bathroom and then going back to sleep for another few hours. It's something I have much experience with. In her place is the demonic rock monster who practically sinks down into the clouds; Clan Ru the mighty Tyranitar, and Miror's uplevel. That means those rock attacks are going to really hurt, and with that 3x weakness? The Gym Leader may already be in a bit of a bind. Fortunately for the Charizard (I mean it's the silver lining on a very grey cloud), the sharp rings of Rock energy that shred the lizard's health bar cause him to snap to his senses, and counterattack with brutal arcs of electricity, with the excess voltage clearing any lingering dizziness. So Tyranitar is zapped and Charizard is getting rocked, but has the sheer balls to try and physically strike the giant rock monster. You go Gaptahl. Wings outstretched and glinting in the sunlight, he glides towards Clan Ru, who spits a pebble right towards the lizard, who covers himself with his right wing, only to swing and bat said pebble down to earth. The extra-hardness of his wing insulates him, but his flying ability is still slightly impaired, removing the last of his momentum after striking the Tyranitar for some acceptable damage... The monsters stand opposite each other, ready for the next round.

Gaptahl took some huge hits, and is almost to the mid. He might want a breather within the next round or two and has about half his Electric and Steel left. Clan Ru is comfortably in the first third.

Inferno to their face, backing off without putting too much pressure on your injured wing. Try to get some clones up with Double Team, spreading out and hiding behind trees.

Kamen, definitely get that Hawlucha.

You need a better counter for rock types.

Fuck Skarmory and Mantine.

Luchabird.

Luchabird.

Luchabird my brother.

Oh, right, the match. You actually care about that I suppose. Well, with Gaptahl charging up a mighty burst of volcanic levels of heat, Clan Ru opts to turn his swaaaaaaaaaaaggggg on instead, straight up hammer dancing to the side. The brimstone orb grazes him due to the two fighters' proximity, leaving a scorched hip, but hey ho, better than getting a face full of hellfire. But Gaptahl is FURIOUS with this fuckin kid and his new fangled hip hop blasting the n word every five seconds and hell no, he's not backing off now! He's a proud Charizard, getting up in this damn Tyranitar's grill, even if it is an objectively poor life choice.

And it is!

Objectively poor!

Terrible decision!

He gets fuckin shredded by two Stone Edged rings that fuck him right up and put down the Gym Leader's first Pokémon in the third round. Why the fuck are you using Charizard again Kamen? Like... Not a good decision man

Flying gym

People bring rocks

why use 3x weak to rocks

WHY

Gaptahl is unable to battle! Next Pokémon and orders from Kamen!

Clan Ru is still in his first third but definitely needs a breather after his three. He's got some light burns on his side, but nothing substantial. Miror retains ONE three mover.

Oops. Was going to get totalled anyway.

Also can't run from a kaiju fight so no regrets I guess?

Arthur, let's go, high as you can be.

Throw down a Rhongomyniad at 'em, then rain down Flash Cannon fire while maintaining crazy flight patterns.

Oh yeah now I remember why I've been neglecting to order. Glad that sig has been purged from existence :c

Protect the spear, and give him a Flamethrower to think about.

Their wings also provide slight resistance against physical attacks when tucked at their side. The undersides of their wings are sharp, granting them a 1.2x boost if used to attack.
[Steel]: Steel-type Pokémon generally have tempered bodies, meaning they take slightly reduced damage from physical attacks. Their Steel type attacks are more proficient at cutting through energy, allowing them to reduce damage while breaking through them, unlike other Pokémon. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible, though they are not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are. Most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones. Steel-types are resistant to XX and take neutral damage from the damaging effects of Normal-type energy in the ASB, as opposed to resisted damage in the games. They are immune to the damaging effects of Poison-type energy and are difficult to poison.
[Flying]: Flying-type Pokémon are faster and more agile in their chosen mode of transportation than other Pokémon. Because of their skill in controlling their movement, they are more difficult to evade when using physical moves and more likely to succeed in dodging attacks. This also means that they are much harder to knock off course after gathering momentum. They are also more adept at commanding the wind, and they can use these attacks with slightly less energy than normal. Flying type Pokémon are affected normally by the damaging effects of Ground-typed energy and take neutral damage from Ground type moves in the ASB. They fight more enthusiastically in spacious arenas but are not put off by cramped conditions.
Fuck you I am not typing the name of that sig. I have better things to do with my time. Like sticking sharp things into my eyes. Or Kush's mum. A fresh Skarmory enters the battlefield, screeching with bloodlust, ready to exact vengeance on the panting Tyranitar. Clan Ru is vulnerable, but braces for impact as Arthur rises into the air, with one of the sharp things I intend to stick into my eyes/Kush's mum's behind gripped between his talons - the holy spear Rhinoceros. The battle-hardened birdie chucks the spear with all his might, and Clan Ru, though tired, barely erects a green barrier in the nick of time, blocking the Rhinoceros' charge and narrow the Skarmory's ground pool for naught. It's a good move, but Arthur is determined to punish Clan Ru's insolence, by spewing hard light as he makes a bombing run. Clan Ru attempts to counter attack with some mighty atomic breath, but post-three tiredness is a bitch, and it's not the most effective Flamethrower you've ever seen, licking the Skarmory's underbelly. At least he doesn't take a wicked burn!

Clan Ru is still suffering some tiredness, and is half through his Fire. He is almost to the mid as well. Arthur is pretty grand and has half his Ground. Obvs.

Stunfisk, though able to swim somewhat, moves mostly through flopping and sliding, but prefer to lie and await foes in mud or other similar substrate. They can also levitate. Moving by electro magnetic propulsion, they are not as fast as other levitating Pokémon, but are more agile. They have a low flight ceiling. Stunfisk are familiar with the Water type.
[Ground]: Ground-type Pokémon are considered to be immune to electricity while standing on the ground. If a Ground Pokémon is in the air, they take 0.75x the usual damage from Electric-type attacks, and will take neutral damage from Electric when wet. Ground types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water. Ground-type Pokémon are more adept at manipulating outdoor and 'natural' environments than other Pokémon and will spend less energy using Dig, Earthquake etc. This allows them to use Ground attacks on any surface, with the exception of Dig. They can also cause the ground to shake more vigorously when using Earthquake and Bulldoze.
[Electric]: Electric types are resistant to paralysis inflicted by Electric-type moves, though they may be paralysed as normal by other methods. Electric types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water. They have a high degree of control over their Electric type attacks, and as such they will suffer less from attempts to redirect them.
Hidden Power: Fire
Special Training - I Can Show You the World
Pancake now has a flight ceiling of 15 feet for her levitation. She is also able to move a bit faster through the air than others of her species. Pancake can no longer use the moves Magnet Rise or Eerie Impulse.
I know when I'm being baited. God damn you Miror.

I can show you a match,
Shining, shimmering, splendid.
Tell me, Connor, now when did
You last let RNG decide?

I can open your eyes,
Take you effect by effect,
Ground, Electric and flying,
It's a magic Pancake ride.

A whole new match!
A new, fantastic Flying GL,
Miror will tell him no! And where to go!
And say he's only dreaming,

A whole new 'mon,
A dazzling Electric flounder now
But when it's way up here, it's very unclear
Just how this damn thing flies throughout the air
Now I'm in a whole new match with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feelings
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless cloudy sky

A whole new 'mon
(Don't you dare think you've won)
A hundred thousand moves to use
(Not even close, it's from Gen 5)

She's like a shooting star
She's come so far
We can't go back
To Tyranitar 'gainst Steel

A whole new 'mon
Every turn a surprise
With stupid sig names to peruse
Every order gets better
I'll ref them anywhere
When I've time to spare
Let me share this whole new match with you

A whole new match
A whole new 'mon
That's what she is
That's what she is
A thrilling dish
A wondrous fish
For you and me

Been a while since we had one of those.

As Miror's Stunfisk flashes onto the field, and I put away my probably incredibly offensive turban, Clan Ru gets to take a bit of a breather for now, knowing that against the Skarmory, he faces a considerable disadvantage. Damn birds that are also made of metal. What a dick move, evolution. IMAGINE the shits that thing takes. Incensed by this affront to nature and good taste, Pancake levitates straight towards the mighty metallic monster, aiming to smack it right in the (blue) tit with Ground energy. However, the Skarmory is not so easily assaulted, and he readies a feathery spear in self defence. Arthur swings it between his talons at the last second, batting Pancake back down to the arena floor, but the vibrations from her Earthquake travel up the spear and badly damage the monster. Pancake attempts to follow with a thunderous discharge, something something period joke, but to no avail, as the spear's "holy" power has sealed off the Stunfisk's strongest attacks temporarily! Wow, what a stupidly powerful signature move. What the actual shit Kamen.

No, wait, what the actual shit SS how did you approve that

does kamen secretly give amazing blow jobs

With his opponent crippled, Arthur brings a rain of pain upon the flounder, using Water energy to buffet her with Hidden Powers. Nasty stuff that. It's been a good round for Kamen folks!

Both Pokémon took partial blows at the start of the round, but the extra attack has given Arthur a slim lead. However, he has no Water or Ground energy remaining and is panting a little. Pancake is sealed for the next round.

Arthur, tag out.

Carmilla, in you go, on the ground.

Phantom Maiden to trap, then send an Earth Power up the pillars into Pancake if you trap her. If you didn't actually trap her, then I guess climb up the pillars and take off to punch Pancake in the gut/face/whatever with a DC Earthquake.

Arthur, if you can't switch, then Quick Charge Substitute as you get the hell outta there. Like to the TREES.

Sorry about the long wait

ST Agility to avoid being trapped. Regardless of whether or not you are trapped, Volt Switch against whatever the nearest solid surface is out to Titan.

Yeah this is gonna be a shortish round because I have homework to do but I've kept this waiting long enough

With Skarmory having abused its actually dumb signature that my predecessor never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever should have approved to its fullest, he returns to his PokeBall, now replaced by Carmilla the Gliscor. Our resident Pancake is on edge seeing this super scurry ground type, and, thanks to receiving all the time taken switching to prepare, he's able to dodge seamlessly when the big-ass Scorpion tries to trap him in scary pillars of death. Carmilla, naturally, is discontented by her failure, and grunts in annoyance. Rushing up the pillars she created, she takes to the air as per her trainers orders... but winds up significantly higher in the air than Pancake is, allowing the Stunfisk just enough time to eek out a burst of electric energy thrown at the pillar Gliscor jumped off of, popping out of the battlefield to be replaced by Titan the Glalie... who is promptly bashed in the face with the follow-through of the DC Earthquake that was meant for Pancake. Fun times!

Gliscor and Glalie are both up in the air fairly close together, but not quite in melee range of eachother. Carmilla is untouched and good for two, while Titan is fresh as a daisy but took a bit of damage from that EQ, still comfortably in the first third. Pancake has fucked right off back to her PokeBall.

Google, tell me how to not die to a Glalie using a Gliscor.

"Lol, you're fucked mate."

Sure.

Use the time they spend Mega Evolving to back off and Double Team up. Nope the fuck out after the Super Fang with a Baton Pass out to Windy May. Preferably don't get hit if you could for obvious reasons.
