Swoobat UPN PASBL: Extroph vs Snorby

Extroph (c) vs Snorby (a)
3 vs 3
Singles
Slapstick
Equiall 3
Switch=KO
48 Hour DQ
Greenhouse: A large metal and glass construct, typically in the shape of a dome. The Greenhouse envelops a large, indoors forest, with all manners of foliage imaginable. Most notably, numerous trees are interspersed throughout the surroundings. The ground underfoot is made simply of soil, and is easily manipulated. Sunlight coming from outside will be amplified by the glass, making moves such as Synthesis more efficient and allowing Solar Beam a quicker charge time. Grass Pokemon will feel much more comfortable in these surroundings than any other Pokemon. This arena is considered to be indoors.

-Glossary page and definitions of key terms. [Link Provided].
-Ghost Pokemon interact very differently in ASB. [Link Provided].
Example: Water Gun is a physical attack construct that is powered by the pokemon's special attack. That means that an ethereal ghost is hit for 50% of the damage.
-Move Errata on the main site is not fully updated, so make sure to check out the Move Errata here on UPN as well. [Link Provided].
-Movepools are readily available via veekun.
==Movepool errors are allowed in ASB. The official list is here on UPN. [Link Provided].
-And last but not least, we'll be using the new SC's here. [Link Provided]

Hop to it kiddos,

Allons-y

Siegfried - Level 4 Male Haxorus (Uplevel)
Special Technique: Dragon Prison (DR)

Using major Dragon energy, Siegfried stomps on the ground, summoning the power of ancient dragons that came before him. The souls erupt in the form of purple fire, and the opposing Pokemon is inescapably dragged closer to Siegfried, until they are only separated by 5 feet. The fire then forms a circular wall of purple fire around them with a varying diameter (5 feet if Axew, 8 feet if Fraxure, 10 feet if Haxorus) and a height double the height of the larger Pokemon battling (for example, if Siegfried, as an Axew, is facing a Joltik, then the height of the wall is twice Axew's height; if Axew is facing an Onix, then the height of the wall is twice Onix's height). The wall is covered at the top by swirling flames. The construct resists any form of escape, but will not harm any Pokemon that comes in contact with it. The construct cannot be destroyed by any form of attack. It is impossible to latch on to the walls, as they are made of magical flames. Dragon Prison lasts for 5 turns and may only be used once per opponent. This move does not deal any damage, and may be summoned on any arena that has a surface for Axew to step on.
Hidden Power: Steel

Hercules - Level 3 Male Bunnelby
Special Attack: Divine Hero’s Strength (XX)

Hercules gathers a significant amount of energy toward his ears, allowing him to be able to carry an unusual amount of weight. However, if the Pokemon weighs less than Hercules, he only gathers a good amount of energy. Unlike normal Strength, Diggersby’s Divine Hero’s Strength allows him to lift and throw Pokemon up to ten times his weight (935 lbs/424 kg). All Pokemon within this weight limit can be thrown as easily as if they were the same weight as him. The weight limit decreases by 1 after every two uses of the move (EX: the first two uses of Divine Hero’s Strength will decrease the weight limit to nine times his weight, the next two after that will decrease it to eight times his weight, etc). The weight limit plateaus at five times his weight. Divine Hero’s Strength, unlike Strength, deals significant damage all the time, plus possible fall damage if applicable.
*Note: 110 lbs for Bunnelby
Hidden Power: Psychic

Caesar - Level 3 Male Houndour
Attached Item: Nightstalker's Token
Special Defense: Tartarus’ Flames (FI)

Caesar uses heavy Fire type energy to summon a coating of black fire, which then envelops his whole body. The fire is extremely hot, and will burn any Pokemon who come in contact with it. Caesar is immune to the fire, along with other Fire type Pokemon. For 3 turns, the fire will remain. The flame strikes such an intimidating sight that all Fighting type moves directed at Caesar cost 1.2x more energy to perform. When the fire dissipates, Caesar cannot use the move until 3 turns have passed.
Hidden Power: Grass

Gemini - Level 3 Male Dodrio
Special Attack: Concentrated Tri Attack (Various)

Doduo can choose to make his Tri Attack either Electric, Fire, or Ice type. It will use up energy and will do significant damage of the type used. When using the move, Doduo must be ordered using the format: “[Type] Tri Attack” (ex. Electric Tri Attack). Doduo has the offtype for all three types to use each type twice. However, he can only use Concentrated Tri Attack three times total per match. When using a specific type, there will only be a 30% chance of the status associated with the type to be inflicted. So, there will only be a paralysis chance when using Electric Tri Attack, only a burn chance if using Fire Tri Attack, and only a freeze chance if using Ice Tri Attack.
Hidden Power: Ground

Fallout - Level 3 Male Grimer
Special Attack: Boiling Tar (PO)

Using Good Poison energy and Minor Fire energy, Fallout spews a stream of thick, gooey tar, dealing moderate Poison damage. The tar is extremely hot and has a significant chance of burning the target. The tar will also stick to the user, similar to Mud Shot, slowing down the opponent if covered greatly. So long as the tar is stuck on the opponent, the next Fire type attack used against it will deal 1.2x damage. Once a Fire type attack is used on the tar-coated opponent, the tar will disappear along with the flames.
Hidden Power: Ice

Kidomaru - Level 3 Male Ariados
Special Attack: Sticky Gold Needle (GD)

Kidomaru expends significant Ground energy to fashion a needle inside his mouth. He then spits the needle out at a tremendous speed, in which it will then expand as it escapes the mouth, growing to become as large as an Ariados. The needle deals significant piercing Ground damage. He has enough Ground energy to use this move twice per battle.
Hidden Power: Water

Hi Fren how you been?

Thanks for reffing Apos c:

Packing the Glalieite

Piccolo Daimao: Level 3 Male Beeheeyem
Signature Move: Programming Error [Psychic]
When used by Piccolo, Steel Wing now uses Psychic-type energy, not Steel. Likewise, it deal Psychic type damage instead of Steel. To use the move, Piccolo creates two giant wing-shaped energy constructs attached to his back, and leaps into the air, falling at a high speed and slamming the energy construct wings into his opponent. These wings fade immediately after Steel Wing is used, and do not allow Piccolo to fly in any way. This attack may still break through energy-based projectiles without reduction in damage and deals solid damage for solid energy, just like normal Steel Wing.

Frosty: Level 3 Male Glalie
Glalite Attached
Special Training: Jaws of Death [Various]:
To better torture his victims, Frosty has learned how to use Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, and Poison Fang. He has enough offtype to use each of these up to 3 times per battle. Frosty may no longer use Dark Pulse, Hex, Taunt, and Self-Destruct. Frosty no longer benefits in any way from eating snow and ice.

Jack: Level 3 Male Gourgeist-Super
Special Attack: PUMPKIN CANNON! [Ghost]:
Using Heavy Ghost energy, Jack creates a cannon made entirely of ghost energy, and jumps into it. The cannon then fires Jack, whom is cloaked in Ghost energy, at the opponent at an incredible speed, slamming into the foe and causing an explosion that deals Heavy damage. The noise when Jack is fired out of the cannon startles the opponent, making them freeze up in a way similar to Roar. If the attack gets a full hit, the explosion will knock most opponents over, further distracting them. After firing Jack, the cannon disappears.

Regina: Level 3 Genderless Electrode
HP Grass
Sig: Type Change: Ball of Love
Regina has adopted a secondary Fairy type, now being an Electric/Fairy type Pokemon. She has the normal weaknesses and resistances associated with the typing, with a few exceptions. For one, she is only resistant to Dragon-type moves rather than immune. For another, she takes neutral damage from Dark moves, as the absence of love in these two types upsets her greatly. She has gained access to Dazzling Gleam and Play Rough. In addition, her Hyper Beam and Secret Power attacks may now be ordered as Fairy-Type moves, ordered as Fairy!Hyper Beam and Fairy!Secret Power. She may not change the type of a move more than once per round, however. Because of her sweet, loving nature, she can also use Draining Kiss, Lovely Kiss, and Sweet Kiss. Due to her love of beautiful, sparkly things, she gains access to Power Gem, Aurora Beam and Mirror Shot, having the energy to use each thrice per battle. However, she loses Foul Play, Sucker Punch, and Thief, as these ways are too dark for her loving nature, and loses Gyro Ball for being ungraceful. She has also lost Self-Destruct, Confide, and Substitute. As she identifies with the female gender, Attract and other such attacks with work on her if used by a Male Pokemon despite her being genderless.

Boog: Level 3 Female Kabutops
HP Grass
Type Change: Water/Bug
Boog is now a Water/Bug type, with all associated weaknesses, resistances, and characteristics. She has learned the moves U-Turn, Infestation, and Bug Buzz. She now has the Rock energy of an average Ground type. However, she never learned the moves Substitute, Stealth Rock, Low Kick, Dig, Aurora Beam, and Aqua Tail.

Clapton: Level 3 Male Druddigon
Hidden Power Type: Grass
Special Training: It's In The Way That You Use It [Various]
Clapton has learned the moves Drain Punch and Giga Drain, and these may be infused with Dragon energy instead of their usual type when ordered as Dragon!Drain Punch and Dragon!Giga Drain, respectively. Clapton has enough Grass offtype to use Giga Drain as a grass move twice per battle.

Regina, kick things off.

Kidomaru, let's start things off with a Sticky Web. Follow it up with a Sludge Bomb as you stay on your toes against possible incoming attacks.

Snorby is already becoming a mean girl by sending out the queen bee, Regina the Electrode. Extroph, returning from his hiatus, sends out Kidomaru the Ariados. The match is auto favored for Extroph by using Ariados.

Quote:
Electrode (Electric): Electrode move by rolling and their movement speed is dependent on the smoothness of the terrain. They are fastest on flat, smooth ground and slowest on rocky ground. On flat ground, they will outspeed almost any Pokémon. They have a 5% chance of Exploding when KOd. Electrode's Selfdestruct and Explosion attacks charge much faster than other Pokémon. They are inorganic and fight more enthusiastically in man made environments.
Spoiler: show
[Electric]: Electric types are resistant to paralysis inflicted by Electric-type moves, though they may be paralysed as normal by other methods. Electric types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water. They have a high degree of control over their Electric type attacks, and as such they will suffer less from attempts to redirect them.
[Fairy]: Fairy-types are generally pure hearted and gregarious. They prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically in them, but they will not be off put by urban environments. Any attack used by a Fairy-type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. They are immune to the damaging effects of Dragon-typed energy.

Ariados (Bug/Poison): Ariados may shoot strands of webbing out of both their fronts and rears. While not powerful enough to damage Pokémon, they can use it to pull themselves from place to place more quickly without it counting as a move. Ariados can climb walls and other objects with ease. Their web attacks will be more effective than usual and cost less energy. In addition, when they fall below 1/3 health, they become empowered, their STAB attacks dealing 10% extra damage.
Spoiler: show
[Bug]: Bug-types can see in the dark, and they have largely enhanced sight, granting them a small boost to the accuracy of their moves. Most live in warm climates, though they hate fire and dislike extreme cold. Their status inducing attacks have an extra 10% chance of inflicting statuses and the resulting statuses are slightly more potent than usual. Bug types are in general more nimble than other Pokémon, though not necessarily faster, and will quickly out manoeuvre opponents when using unconventional movement.
[Poison]: Poison-type Pokémon are immune to poisoning. Their Poison-type attacks are slightly more likely to succeed in poisoning their targets than those used by other Pokémon and the effects will be slightly more potent. They also have an additional 10% chance to poison the target when using physical attacks with their most venomous appendages e.g. a Seviper’s tail, a Nidoking’s horn.
ASB made Sticky Web an entry hazard. That is soo cool. I should probably sig that on to things that don’t deserve it. Ariados creates a situation where any pokemon that comes out of the field will be super slow, not super, but slow. That includes Regina. Regina deserves to be slowed down. Regina is more interested in lulling the opponent and putting the bug into a confused state. The sweet kisses blow in the direction of the arachnid. Let’s see how many times I use the word arachnid or spider in this thread. Count them. Now Kidomaru is heavily confused by the sweet projectiles, pushing the spider into being unable to attack.

So now the field is open for the slowed down Regina, the elitist ball covers herself in voltage, strong enough to change the polarity around herself for a switch. The energies tackle the ground, jolting a large chunk of energy out of the Electrode and replaces her with Frosty the cold-hearted Glalie who floats about eight feet away.

Quote:
Glalie (Ice): Glalie levitate by default. Their appearance makes them intimidating and their fear based attacks are more effective than normal. They can see in the dark. Due to their massive jaw, biting attacks are 1.2x more powerful than normal. They are adept at hiding in blizzards and can see through them easily. If there is ice or snow in the arena, Glalie may eat the ice or snow using a move, restoring good health and energy once a battle. If the snow is tainted or poisoned, it will harm them instead. Their icy bodies are extremely cold. Any Pokémon coming in contact with them will be chilled similarly to Icy Wind.
Spoiler: show
[Ice]: Ice-type Pokémon are highly resistant to cold and fight more enthusuastically in cold environments. However, they hate hot temperatures, and will not fight as enthusiastically. If their STAB attacks have a secondary effect, they are slightly more likely to have their effects triggered. Their Ice type moves are significantly colder than those used by any other Pokemon, giving them a much greater ability to numb and slow the foe. In addition, any areas frozen by an Ice type will become sore even after the ice has been knocked loose, creating a painful area like Crush Claw does. Their chilled bodies allow them to create ice more readily than other Pokemon, significantly speeding up their Ice type attacks. Ice-types are generally sure footed and difficult to knock over, moving with ease across slippery surfaces and through strong winds and storms.
Frosty was not introduced to sticky web, not slowing it down on the switch in. He is fresh. Ariados is confused. Regina is resting inside her pokeball.

Okay a couple of problems.

Glalie levitates by default, so why did it get affected by Sticky Web?

Moreover, I specifically ordered Regina to Volt Switch off the ground. As in, NOT to hit Ariados. Why did it hit Ariados?

Much obliged Vern.

Mega Evolve straight away and set up a QC Sub. Bury him in a Magic!Avalanche afterward.

Baton Pass immediately to Caesar. If you're too confused, wait until the Avalanche to knock off the confusion then Dig and strike. Follow with a Poison Jab.

The opponent literally reminds the referee of his floating friend, which makes the orders for Ariados quite confusing. The ice pokemon mega evolves, courtesy of Snorby’s mega belt. Which a click of a button, Glalie is wrapped up into a cacoon, showing its true self.

Quote:
In its Mega Forme, it surges with icy energies, which actively sap the heat from the air. When using biting moves, it will chill the foe, chilling them as if they were hit with Glaciate. In addition, when performing XX or NO moves, they may choose to cloak them in an aura of Ice energy, causing them to become Ice typed.
The ice king is now present in the field, and for his first act he hides behind a low grade substitute copy of himself. By sacrificing very little health, Frosty is able to freely roam around as the confused spider is pre-occupied with fake. Speaking of which, the confusion is too much for the spider to comprehend. That severely hinders his chances to even attempt the switch. This puts it in a conundrum; had all three actions been taken into account, Extroph would be out of a three mover. The thing is, attempting a move and failing due to confusion counts as an action for the turn. Luckily he will run out of time before he gets to attempt the other two moves so asking for confirmation is a moot task.

Frosty summons snow to plow over the bug, the intense icy cold attack playing a hefty number against the arachnid pokemon. This Avalanche of snow clearly knocks out the confusion from Ariados, who then proceeds to dig down on the soil. Moments after his triumphant dig, he rises from the ground to hit nothing; Frosty is floating up in the air. With WUID no longer being a thing, like before even my time, completely ending the round due to lack of time. Frosty smiles a good seven feet away from the opponent.

Ariados was the only one to suffer damage. He fresh. Frosty is good for two, and went unharmed.

How high was he levitating to not have been struck by Dig? Also, apologies for the unintentional three mover, thanks for clearing it up.

He is about five feet in the air, and with general distance he is about seven. He would need to be at least 1 foot from the ground, 1 and half to be generous.

Alrighty, thank you for the clarification. Is there a guide for levitation heights for Pokemon? I might need it in the future.

Pin Missile to destroy his sub, followed by a Spider Web if successful. If unsuccessful, opt for another Pin Missile.

I left out my handy links, thinking you were still in the groove of things. I will add them shortly!

From the site:

Levitation - Pokémon levitate in different ways and individual SCs will highlight differences in proficiency. In general, Pokémon which are able to levitate can reach a height of eight feet without using any energy and can bring themselves up to a height of twelve feet for a round or so using light energy. They can generally move at the same pace that most bipeds can run and dodge at, freely in all three dimensions. Levitation is generally more stable than flight, users able to more effectively control their descent during sudden changes in Gravity and steady themselves more readily in adverse weather conditions. Levitation will work underwater.

Protect the Pin Missile as you move directly above it. Drop downward for a Body Slam, then hold the pin for a Fire Fang. (3)

Abuse of weight is a go go go! Kidomaru fires a stack of pins against the mega pokemon, focusing on destroying the decoy. He does not know is a decoy, so why is trainer talking about some mysterious sub? All we see is Glalie setting up a protective barrier around himself to avoid the missile-like projections. The greenish construct absorbs the damage, which is all the ice pokemon could have hoped for. Feeling indecisive, the bug typed pokemon weights his odds of either attacking again with the same pins and what not. This allows Frosty to move in a jiff, sub in hand to slam right on top of the bug. Tired of indecision, the bug fires another barrage of missiles at the frosty opponent. The energy marks its spot, and each pin releases a tiny bit of fluff out of the sub before the construct explodes on the spot revealing the real Glalie not that far behind. Ariados is perplexed by what just happened, and before he can register the disappearance of the fake, Glalie makes a slam dunk with his body on top of the spider. Eeeeeek. Obligatory size comparison. It is not that big, it is actually 6'11, but it sure as hell feels that big.

With nowhere to move, Ariados feels helpless that paralysis and a fat beast sit on top of it. If this was any more realistic, I would image his butt side oozing out some of its guts or something. Well, not really. Dang, this is pokeabuse, and someone should call an ambulance at the end of this just in case. Floating his giant weight off, the levitator picks up the spider as a meal ticket. His fangs look sharp and have this super-heated effect thanks to how frickin’ cold they are. Fire starts to circle his chomps before crunching down on the spider. Kidomaru squeals louder in pain, his face being torn apart by the giant frosty creature. The arachnid starts to lose feeling on its limbs, as being severely chilled is almost equivalent to frost bites, which resemble being burned. Not actual burn marks are left though.

Ariados is trapped within the jaw of the mighty Frosty. Kidomaru is starting to look hurt. He is fresh, though very chilled. Frosty is panting, and went untouched. He has enough fire for another pair of fire fang.

Snorby has 0 Three movers left for the match.

My sig explicitly states Frosty has enough offtype for three uses of each elemental fang.

Stay clamped down as you Ice Fang him. Then just catch your breath and focus on keeping him in your jaws.

Frosty is feeling forceful with the bug. Although in a tight corner, Ariados still emits a particularly loud bug noise. The screech breaks the concentration of the giant ice pokemon almost instantaneously, which it goes without saying that this bug has left everyone on the field irritated. The bug falls out of the mouth of Frosty, giving enough time to the chilled arachnid to escape via a switch move. A white glow is emitted by the bug, forming a small baton to pass it to an ally. A white light picks up Ariados and replaces him with Caesar the Houndour.

Quote:
Houndour (Dark/Fire): Houndour have hearing that is more sensitive than normal at the expense of being more vulnerable to sound-based status moves and an excellent sense of smell which allows them to track opponents and tell the real clone in a Double Team. Much like the Growlithe family, while more reluctant to bond, they are fiercely loyal to those who earn their trust. As dogs they are quite good diggers and deal 1.1x damage with their biting attacks.
Spoiler: show
[Fire]: Fire-types fight most enthusiastically in hot and dry conditions. They are extremely difficult to burn and most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time. Fire-type Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short. Their Fire type moves will be hotter than normal, allowing them to inflict more potent burns with a greater frequency, and their Fire type moves will naturally have a somewhat wider spread without a loss in power.
[Dark]: Dark-types can see in the dark. They fight more enthusiastically at night and are more effective at hiding in dark environments than other Pokémon, though light does not adversely affect them. Their Dark type attacks will also become much more intimidating during the night, giving them a small additional chance to flinch. They are immune to the damaging effects of Psychic-type energy but may still be lifted and manipulated by telekinesis. They are slightly better at tricking opponents than other Pokémon, allowing them to plant more potent curses and to use moves like Feint Attack to greater effect.
Hondour is fresh as a daisy, given that physical properties do not transfer. Frosty is refreshed.

Crush him in a Body Slam, going through the Fire Spin if necessary. Allow the paralysis to deny him the right to sub up before you slam him with a DC Earthquake

Weight abuse, at its finest. Bravo Snorby. If this was realistic, you could have probably secured a pokecenter stay. Frosty is in no way going to be melted by the puny Fire Spin that spirals around him. Thanks to Caesar opening up his mouth, and spewing a flame that easily encircles the mega, Frosty now faces the chance of being melted in the metaphorical sense. The giant mega is not afraid of a couple of flames, blasting right through it at the expense of some damage. By playing sitonit to the maximum extent, Frosty slams his body right on top the unsuspecting dog. Gen VII should introduce a doge-like pokemon. Caesar releases a painful howl, knowing in his heart that a rib could easily shatter.

Paralysis is a no-brainer, which makes the pup unable to hide behind a substitute. That is one sad mut. Frosty smiles widely as he levitates high enough to get off the dog and then slam right back down with ground energy. The direct contact sends a trembling earthquake of energy right into the body of the dark typed Pokemon. Caesar barks out of control, trying to get out of the impressive weight that is being imposed on him. Where have we seen this ice giant do that before? Caesar struggles to concentrate as the weight is too much for him to bear.

Caesar took a ton of damage, which in turns makes him look hurt at this point. He is fresh, and no longer paralyzed. Frosty is good for two with enough ground for another Earthquake.

That went quite nicely.

Body Slam again. Earthquake if he's paralyzed, try again if not.

Let's try something here, Caesar. AgiliDodge the Body Slam at the first opportunity that you get. Then, Sucker Punch it out of the second attempt. Finalize with a close range Fire Blast.
