Swoobat UPN PASBL: Cloneblazer12 vs Zelphon

Cloneblazer (c) vs Zelphon (a)
3v3
Singles
Equiall 2
Slapstick
Switch=OK
72hr DQ
Lawn With Fertilizer: [Indooors/Outdoors] One of the most basic battling arenas. A large, well kept lawn area, situated outside. The only difference is that is it is much more grassy than a regular lawn. Rocks can be easily summoned from underground for use in attacks like Stealth Rock, and attacks such as Earthquake will transmit readily.

A few guidelines for Cloneblazer to keep in mind:
-Please our page of glossary and definitions of key terms Link Provided.
-At this point, you are both aware but: Ghost Pokemon interact very differently in ASB. Read up on the special rules. Link Provided.
Example: Water Gun is a physical attack construct that is powered by the pokemon's special attack. That means that an ethereal ghost is hit for 50% of the damage.
-Move Errata on the main site is not fully updated, so make sure to check out the UPN Move Errata as well. Link Provided.
-Movepools are readily available via veekun.
==Movepool errors are allowed in ASB. Head over to UPN for the official list. Link Provided.
-New SCs are going to be very relevant for all of your new matches. Link Provided.

-Cloneblazer will start us off with his squad of six pokemon.
-Zelphon will post his six pokemon, and send out his first.
-Cloneblazer will send out his first pokemon and orders.
-Zelphon will send out his orders.
-I will referee the round.
-Zelphon orders.
-Cloneblazer orders.
-I will referee the round.

Allons-y!

gl d00d. thx for reffing guy

Blazer the Combusken-Male lvl 2
Signature Training: Submission
After training extensively with other fighting types, they have shown him the ropes of true hand to hand combat. This, in turn, allowed Blazer to learn the move Submission. His technique is not perfect, however, as he can still slip up in particularly difficult holds that natural learners of the move would be able to perform. He is still able to grapple with his opponent in the more traditional sense. However, it takes increased energy to perform a second move while performing a submission.
HP Ghost

==

Nitro the Skarmory Male uplvl 3
Holding: Birdkeepers Token
HP Ground

==

Shockwave the Luxio-Male lvl 2
HP Ice
Bio: In the Pokedex, the Shinx line is noted for its ability to be able to see really well. While not at the X-Ray level of a Luxray, Luxio are still able to see better than normal. Shockwave is no exception. Shockwave, for as long as Ive had him, has performed exceptionally well against visual illusions used against him. Things like Double Team and hiding have never worked well against him. Throughout my time as a trainer, I have worked with him to perfect his eyesight to allow him to be as efficient as possible.

Signature Training: Keen Eyes
Shockwave is able to detect visual illusions such as Double Team, and Substitute thanks to his excetional eyesight. This also allows him to see in the dark, and when an opponent tries to hide from him, he will have an easier time finding them. He can no longer use Scary Face or Charge

==

Muscle the Timburr Male lvl 2
Bio: Muscle has always loved his plank of wood, and has become very capable of using it to his advantage in combat. He is able to move it with almost no effort, and has developed a technique involving throwing this plank.
Signature move: Javelin throw (Fighting)
Muscle is able to throw his plank a his opponent using a move. His accuracy is great up close, but starts to fall off at distances greater than 20 feet. This attack causes decent energy, but increases the longer the battle goes on. The damage dealt is proportional to the size of his opponent, with a minimum of decent and a cap at significant. The plank of wood also has a body slam effect, which will effectively trap his opponent under the plank, so long as the size of the opponent is reasonable (an Aggron won't be trapped underneath, but a Pikachu will). This move can be used up to 3 times per match. This sig can carry onto him evolving into Gurdurr, bust must be removed once he becomes a Conkeldurr.
HP Fighting

==

Charm the Clefairy Female lvl 2
HP Rock

==

Shadow the Frogadier-Male lvl 2
HP Fire

Posting squad for Zelphy.

Lava King: Slugma - 4 Male
Biography: "Lame" & "Halting" these where words used by the ignorant to describe Lava King's former master Hephaestus, but he knew better. As the god of volcanoes and a master craftsman the forge master made many things including automatons of many a metal...and unknown to most he also crafted one of pure magma. This being, this unknown creation of liquid flame did what most would think something as inorganic, as manufactured as Lava King could...he loved, he loved his "father" Hephaestus. This emotion would come to fuel him as time after time he saw how the other gods treated his creator, causing him to swell & grow with anger so much so that the growth was quite literal. Upon the 2nd time Hepheastus was tossed from Olympus the anger that had been swelling within him took over Lava King's being causing him to do the unthinkable, summoning the powers of his creator he caused the minerals of the forge be they of earthen quality or stone & he brought them down with the fiery fury of the forge upon those who wronged his "father"...which they didn't really get to damaged by cuz..well gods...furious at Lava King's arrogance the gods of Olympus banished Lava King to the realm of PASBL where he would fight for all eternity.
Special Training: Giant of the Forge
Due to his anger, desire to please his father, and the powers he channeled in his final assault the following is true of Lava King:
Lava King has twice as much Ground type energy.
He is now roughly the size & weight of a Snorlax
He is capable of firing Lava Plume from any part of his body.

Due to taking pride in what he was created to be he will never evolve
Lava King's anger causes him to be more susceptible to rage inducing attacks.
Because of his mental issues he can’t use Amnesia, Yawn, Rest, Sleep Talk, Round, or Stockpile.

Winter: Florges - 4 Female
Biography: Winter's story is that of two desperate ones. The Flower: Deep within the forests surrounding Snowpoint there once was a flower unlike any other for rather for it was as if it where made out of the very landscape, with a bud of snow and a stem of pure ice. Many came for this flower, with rumors of it having had been blessed by some spirit or another but none would ever find it, the harsh climates surrounding it killing off all those who searched...Winter: Shunned by her kind for not being able to bond with a flower Winter wandered across the world in hopes of finding a flower that wouldn't reject her until one day she overheard talk of the legendary Ice Lotus, a truly unique specimen of snow and ice. Having long given up on trying to bond with regular flowers Winter was filled with hope that perhaps this thing of the cold would be the first thing in a long time to warm up to her, and so he resolved to find it. After months of being blown about by the harsh winds and biten with cold it seemed at Winter's search would come to a premature end, but just as all seemed lost a bright glow engulfed her, before she knew it, her and the object of her search was with her, the shunned caretaker & the sought after bloom of death, became one.
Special Trait: Ice Lotus
Winter's SC grants infinite Ice type energy as opposed to infinite Grass, in addition to this all of her grass type offensive moves are now Ice type with all of them being made out of ice or snow depending on what the ref thinks most fits. She has 1 HB of grass type energy. She also now knows Freeze-Dry with the same effectiveness of an Ice type, additionally she now knows Horn Leach & Wood Hammer, creating constructs of Ice to perform them. Because the above is tied to the nature of the flower she's fused with Gastro Acid will not disable any part of this sig only managing to cause her a great deal of discomfort in the round it is used.
HP: Ground

Niki: Pikachu - 4 Female
Biography: Although one might think of Niki as just another delicate member of the Pikachu line she is anything but, the stubborn electric mouse being able to tough her way through situations one would think impossible for a creature of her size.
Special Training: Mini Juggernaut
Niki's tackling/bashing moves are used with a lot more force than usual being able to push any pokemon smaller than a Snorlax aside enough for her to continue forward and even launch pokemon around her size although all of said moves now cost 10% more energy.

Jupiter: Castform - 4 male
Biography: Unlike most Castform Jupiter was never willing to accept the one flaw his species has, the one weather that stood in the way of their Weather God status, the Sandstorm, indeed through extreme amounts of training and a little help from a Flygon Jupiter has completed his hold over the weathers of the world.
Special Training: Weather God Complete
When Sandstorm is in effect Jupiter will become a Rock Type, his Weather Ball move taking on the same type. Appearance wise he'll look a lot like he's in his Hail Form but he will be of a brown coloration and look somewhat crystallized. He is able to see through Sandstorms and is adept at hiding within them, suffering no ill-effects from the weather. Additionally he may now use Diamond Storm and Stone Edge

Briggs: Bastiodon - 4 Female
Biography:Thrown to a frigid tundra after the last matriarch of her herd overthrew her parents in a bloody display of dominance, Briggs against all odds managed to survive conditions of the land, getting by through sheer determination and will, her steely hide withstanding the even the harshest of winters. Years passed and the events that eventually lead to the extinction of most of the ‘fossil’ pokemon and her former herd where forced to join Briggs in her frozen home. Unfortunately for them however, they had not adapted to the climate like she had and many met their death, the Matriarch, stricken with grief to see all he had worked for, all he had killed for wiped away by the snow and ice this harsh land struck out against Briggs hurting her greatly before she managed to fell him, although one might think that killing the Bastiodon that had killed her parents and doomed her to a solitary life might bring her some amount of satisfaction, it only served to remind her how truly alone she was. With waves of depression crushing her heart she made her way to the center of a winter storm in an attempt to let it consume her, however rather than dying to the frigid winds her home imparted her with a gift, Briggs becoming frozen in a massive chunk of ice and preserved by it up until recently when a strange humanoid Banette coming across her capsule he freed and captured the beast, the unique Bastiodon lacking rocky exterior that would imply it had ever been a fossilized.
Signature Typechange: Wall of Briggs (Steel)
Briggs is now a pure Steel type, having all the weaknesses and resistances of the typing. Additionally any pokemon that makes physical contact with Briggs will experience a chilling effect similar to Icy Wind for the rest of the round. Briggs cannot use Fissure. She is Familiar with Rock
HP: Grass

Vi: Audino - 4 Female
Biography: Vi is for violence!
Signature Technique: Excessive Force(Fairy)
Using Heavy Fairy energy Vi encases her hands in a pair of demonic looking gauntlets, each donning clawed fingers delivers a series of slashes and punches that add up to Considerable Fairy damage and apply sore spots like Crush Claws. These gauntlets remain for 3 complete rounds, during which moves that could reasonably be used with these gauntlets (Punches, clawing moves, Secret Power) recieve a 10% boost to damage with the standard 1.05x increase in energy consumption. While these gauntlets are intact this technique only costs Considerable energy as she doesn't have to form them.
HP: Grass

Zelphy told me to lead off with Castform. (Pretend everything is in its correct evolutionary state)

I put forward the above, I've had people post my squads for my most recent battles due to me being confined to my phone and sigs being difficult to C/P as a result.

With that clarification out of the way I'd like to thank Apost for Reffing at my request and wish you luck Clone, I've been waiting for this battle for a long time so stay on your toes :p

Something something master is now facing the pupil? I don’t know the story behind these two, but there is a story that will be explored within this match! Both parties shake hands at the center of the field before taking their respective spots. The wrong corner… I mean the red corner we have Zelphon who is eager to crush his master. The green corner we have a returning member that goes by the name CloneBlazer. With a nod from the ref, both trainers release their respective pokemon. Zelphon starts off the match with a pretty Castform named Jupiner who ascends into the air. Clone has the motto that the bigger they are the harder the fall, Timburr. Very muscular if I do say so myself. His name happens to be Muscle.

Quote:
Castform (Normal): Castform change their shape, as well as their type, depending on the weather. They will become a Water-type while it's raining, a Fire-type during a Sunny Day and an Ice-type in Hail or Snow. Castform remain Normal during "normal" weather. Their weather changing attacks are much more powerful than normal, starting almost instantly at full power, lasting twice as long as usual and being much harder to change against Castform's wishes. They fight more enthusiastically in atypical weather conditions and their attacks are faster to charge in such environments. Castform levitate by default.
[Normal]: Normal-type Pokémon are able to use support moves to greater effect than other Pokémon, with them being performed slightly quicker and being slightly more potent. Being beings of great balance, they benefit more from the positive effects of weather and other arena affecting moves, but will not suffer as badly from the negative effects. In the ASB, Normal-types take resisted damage from the damaging effects of Ghost-type energy.

Timburr (Fighting): Timburr carry around a fairly heavy plank of wood which can be used in physical attacks involving smashing the foe. They are relatively deft with their weapon, able to nimbly wield it for attack and defense. Using it this way grants them 1.1x boost for an equivalent increase in energy use and a slight drop in speed. The plank can be dropped by Timburr to execute an attack under normal conditions and can be stolen from it, though it is somewhat heavy and any thief must be fairly strong to do so
[Fighting]: Fighting-type Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, giving them greater endurance and readiness than other Pokémon and allowing them to push themselves harder for longer. They are more accurate with their physical blows and more adept at blocking and countering physical attacks, able to do this against most physical assaults. Being physically powerful, they can lift much more than normal Pokémon, though this does not grant them an attack boost. They fight more enthusiastically in urban environments but are not adversely affected by more natural surroundings.
So right away we have a pokemon capable of incredible feet like instant weather changes. Suuupeeer. Right before the weather wizard is allowed to change the scene at will, Timburr angles his fist with a bright blue wave of energy that carries his body at impressive speeds as he leads with Plank, his wooden companion. That gives me the idea for a signature later on… hmm…. Just as the orb is released into the skies and Castform is even allowed to change types, he is already stricken by mach speeds into one singular punching wood thing. The strike fizzles out and it doesn’t seem that Castform was affected as harshly given how weak the attack is overall. However, the momentum did manage to push it further into the sky and out of the reach of Timburr. Rain dance takes effects just as Castform regains balance, changing types along the heavy drizzle of rain as he continues to ascend or in this case JUPITER ASCEND.

Quote:
Castform (Water): Castform change their shape, as well as their type, depending on the weather.
[Water]: Water-type Pokémon are generally able to hold their breath and/or breathe underwater. The time varies, from several rounds in the case of birds, mammals and reptiles to indefinitely for fish and squid like Pokémon. They are generally good swimmers, with fish excelling the most, and are better at manipulating Water for moves like Surf and Whirlpool than other Pokémon, using less energy to do so even outside of water. Their Surf and Whirlpool attacks do not lose potency when used without a water source.
The fighting pokemon forgets that he is facing a three dimensional opponent. There is no way the fighter can reach Castform at this point who is too high into the air. The rain droplet chuckles at the grounded opponent before whipping up a massive Hurricane worthy of the name David. Damn did that storm play a number on Florida many years ago. The blasting gust of wind moves at a fast pace across the field. The fighting typed Pokemon does his best to idly dodge the attack, but its massive size prevents him from doing so given that the rain eases its path and precision. Timburr is picked up with Plank at hand, being almost torn apart in half. The giant turbine tosses the pokemon close to where his trainer stands in the outskirts of the arena. The fighting typed Pokemon feels extremely abused, whining about as the pain is hard to sustain. He is on the floor, attempting to get back up albeit a bit disoriented as Castform seems to float closer to the ground after exerting a lot of energy that was required for the attack. Castform is a good fifteen feet away at this point.

Muscle is already looking hurt after one swift blow. Timburr is slightly disoriented, and good for two. Jupiter was barely hurt by the fighting attack endured in his normal state. He is good for two, although he is dealing with fatigue after the use of Hurricane. Flying tank is low.

The ref must ref what the sig says. Castform is a good fifteen feet away as it starts to ascend further into the air. Timburr is still disoriented from the Hurricane, but he starts to regain normal footing. The droplet starts to send another orb into the air but this one is made of psychic energy. The future says that Timburr will be smacked. That will be a sad sight to see. Anyway, Muscle incoherently tosses Plank as a javelin. The throw is completely inaccurate as it tossed, missing its mark almost entirely as Casform moves out of the way. The outer border of the plank is skewed by the winds, making it rotate sideways and smack Castform for a partial hit.

The javelin wasn’t quite strong enough to maintain the weather warrior grounded, so with a swift motion the fighter moves in closer to instinctively retrieve Plank. In doing so, he starts to circle a couples of orbs around himself with better coherence than earlier. His Hidden Power is displayed marvelously as the blast of burgundy energy shatters a piece of health away from the water typed Pokemon. Each orb pops over Castform who scatters into the air. It could have been worse, but Castform is glad that he changed types when he did as he regains control of his flight. Right now, Plank is about four feet away from Timburr as Casform floats away to a safe distance of eight feet or so.

Timburr went unhurt. He is good for two. Castform endured some harm whilst retaining his health lead. He is refreshed with enough psychic for one more use of Future Sight.

Timburr is quite violent with the droplet of water, hurdling an orb of rock energy to smack down the floater. Castform is hit across the chest, lowering its flight ceiling dramatically. With a swift motion he picks up Plank in triumph. Unknown to Muscle, as soon as the Castform takes a dip, he disappears and leaves a low grade substitute behind for the fighting typed Pokemon to deal with.

He finally believes that he is getting the breakthrough needed as his fist charges high voltage. Sucker Punching the doll, Muscle releases a thunderous blow that sends fluff flying everywhere. The real Castform twixes (he doesn’t snicker) and fires a boiling hot water stream to the face of Timburr. Muscles is scalded by the attack, which is only further fueled by the rain. Castform chuckles a bit as the effects of Smack Down start to wear off slightly, but not really.

He will be fine sometime during the upcoming round as Timburr stares him down just out of melee range. No burn marks for the fighter just in case I forgot to mention that. Then the unexpected expectantly happens; Future Sight crashes down on Timburr, making him scream in pain while pushing him against the floor.

Timburr is good for two. Muscles drops below the half-way mark of health. Castform is starting to look hurt. He is good for two.

Facing the torrential downpour, Timburr does not want think about what will happen if he has to face the cold. Castform is one mean floating machine, powdering together a small blast of snow. The attack itself is weak to the opponent, but surely it slows down Muscles enough to have shoddy reactions times. With Castform slipping away, Muscles has to toss his Javelin now or never. Pushing through, he throws Plank at Jupiter, successfully striking him from the bottom, but not being able to pin him. Plank falls back to the ground and Muscles does his best to retrieve it albeit a bit slowly. Jupiter continues to ascend before releasing another powerful fuschia orb into the sky. Future Sight will strike…. In the the future! Castform floats a good nine feet away from Muscle who just finished picking up Plank.

Jupiter was a hurt a bit, but nothing too bad. He is panting lightly. Muscles is refreshed against his will and still somewhat chilled.

King of the weather is taking out of the field to fight at another time. His replacement is a direct counter to the fighter, so let’s see how well Winter the Floette can perform!

Quote:
Floette (Fairy): Floette share a symbiotic relationship with their flower, which can come in a variety of colors. This flower generates a constant source of Grass energy, allowing them to use Grass moves as if it were a Grass-type. If Floette are separated from their flower, they will lose the ability to use their Grass moves and will forego any orders in order to reunite with them. Though heavier and larger than Flabébé, they are still relatively small and light and can levitate. Due to their connection with plants and nature, they are subject to the effects of Flower Shield. They have two vines hidden in their flowers that they can extend to use to manipulate objects and Pokémon and attack.
[Fairy]: Fairy-types are generally pure hearted and gregarious. They prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically in them, but they will not be off put by urban environments. Any attack used by a Fairy-type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. They are immune to the damaging effects of Dragon-typed energy.
Typespam. It makes the match move along sooo much faster, and Floette knows that very well. Oh how cheeky of her to bring in the chills. Palpating her eyes several times, a Dazzling Gleam is emitted with a bright sparkly light. Sailor Moon effects are seen in the background as Muscles is bathed in the dainty energy before whining out loud and covering his face. Too late though, most of the blinding effect slightly tosses off his accuracy. Basically he is seeing a bunch of floaters that don’t really toss off by too much a gunk shot of Toxic. The glob of poison showers the tiny opponent who tried to move out of the way to no avail.

The precious poison offtype sinks in slowly, however the trainer might realize later why that could have been a bad idea. With a swift motion of the fairy, a sudden pulse of semi invisible energy makes its way across the grassy terrain. The fuschia colored Psychic blast washes over the fighter, pushing him further away from Winter as he screeches in pain. Using Plank to get back up, Timburr embeds his right fist with poison energy. Taking his stance, he picks apart the fairy and jabs poison into his face. The energy is strong enough to send Flabebe flying across the field before taking a tumble. Flabebe gets up like a champ a mere eight feet away from the fighter.

If luck could be any less than kind to the fighter, Future Sight kicks, surprising the Timburr in the process. With a few sorrowing cries, Muscles collapses on the floor with Plank toppling over on his back.

Muscles is unable to battle! Cloneblazer, your next Pokemon please.

Flabebe is fine for two. She was hurt somewhat and she is poisoned. She has half of psychic tanks left.

After Timburr fell hard on the floor, the party is just about to start. Dale. A red light sweeps him and with the same intense red light, another pokemon shows its face on the field. A Skarmory named Nitro flies high in the skies.

Quote:
Skarmory (Steel/Flying): Skarmory are used to living in harsh environments so piercing or scratching attacks do less damage than normal against them. Their wings also provide slight resistance against physical attacks when tucked at their side. The undersides of their wings are sharp, granting them a 1.2x boost if used to attack.
[Steel]: Steel-type Pokémon generally have tempered bodies, meaning they take slightly reduced damage from physical attacks. Their Steel type attacks are more proficient at cutting through energy, allowing them to reduce damage while breaking through them, unlike other Pokemon. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible, though they are not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are. Most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones. Steel-types are resistant to XX and take neutral damage from the damaging effects of Normal-type energy in the ASB, as opposed to resisted damage in the games. They are immune to the damaging effects of Poison-type energy and are difficult to poison.
[Flying]: Flying-type Pokémon are faster and more agile in their chosen mode of transportation than other Pokémon. Because of their skill in controlling their movement, they are more difficult to evade when using physical moves and more likely to succeed in dodging attacks. This also means that they are much harder to knock off course after gathering momentum. They are also more adept at commanding the wind, and they can use these attacks with slightly less energy than normal. Flying type Pokémon are affected normally by the damaging effects of Ground-typed energy and take neutral damage from Ground type moves in the ASB. They fight more enthusiastically in spacious arenas but are not put off by cramped conditions.
Keeping it distal, the bird plays his strengths of firing like a turret cannon. With a deep concentration, a flash of energy is concentrated into a singular metallic beam. Skarmory maintains his ability to flap his wings in the air whilst the glistening attack is about to hit…. What? Winter has blended in to the surrounding by using Camouflage. The attack was already in course, and clearly the fairy is not fast enough to move out of the way in time. Winter squeals in pain, feeling a bit hurt after such a strong attack. Since camo has no explicit mention of when it ends, I’m going to assume that it does when the user takes damage, similarly enough to how invisible works within ASB.

With some keen movement, Skarmory flies in closer to make sure that he is indeed seeing the shimmer correctly. With his own shimmy shake, a metallic coating covers his body before he opens up his beak. With a flash of light, a Cannon beam of energy fires from her mouth, enabling him to hit what it seems to be a devastating blow against Winter who is not blending as well as she would have hopped with the blades of grass. Winter whines in pain, because the strike was still fairly hard for her to endure. She channels her frustrations into several brown constructs that start to float around her. With some hidden power to employ, a muddy family of orbs fire away at a slightly wide angle. Most of the orbs pop on contact, sending Skarmory spiringling back into the air with a loud shriek. The bird receives full damage and he does not look all that please as he regains control of his flight a good eight feet in the air, away from Floette.

Nitro endured some harm, but Floette was worse off this round. Nitro is good for two. Floette is good for two.

Yes, you are; if you do switch, your opponent wont be able to do the same unless he switches second via a switching move.

Rain has 3 more turns.
