Good work Visaljos a stand out performance my friend!

Snaerblasa lets bring the chill! released just with her feet in the pool.

MegaEvolve immediately followed by an ingrain while it struggles with the paralysis. Fire off an energy ball

(also ill just say im a bit iffy on the fact i wasnt able to fully bind it with thunder wave, considering i had a one mover two rounds in a row and grass type enthusiasm. Nothing can be change about it now but yeah just something to think on)

It is less about short term tiredness and more about overall energy.

Cherrim Round 19: Flower

The Gym Trainer has been reduced to his last Pokemon, but that does not necessarily mean he has been driven into a corner. Throwing his last Pokeball into the air, he sends out a frightening choice... an Abomasnow wielding its Mega Stone.

Quote:
Abomasnow (Grass/Ice): Abomasnow are able to disguise themselves well in blizzards and snowy areas. Their Hail attack is far more effective than normal, starting faster and dealing mild damage to any non Ice-types on the field for each round it is in effect. Like a Tyranitar uses sand, Abomasnow can generate a hailstorm from its own body and can thus use the technique indoors. Their Blizzard attack takes slightly less energy than normal. In its Mega Forme, Abomasnow is larger and bulkier than normal in exchange for being slightly slower. Abomasnow's attacks are all somewhat more powerful and it is slightly more resistant to both physical and special blows, but its bulky, heavy form does not allow for a significant range of movement. Against any Pokémon that would reasonably be afraid of Mega Abomasnow, a Mega Abomasnow's fear-inducing attacks are more effective.
The mostly white body of Snaerblasa looks as if several buckets of differently-coloured paint have been thrown on it, the paint turning into light as it splatters upon contact. With a loud thud, the forefeet of the beast slam into the ground, her body structure no longer supporting a bipedal posture. This, however, grants her opponent the initiative despite the Paralysis, and, with all the frustration accumulated for his team during the match, Cadaver places an incredible Curse on the -- at first glance -- more powerful Pokemon. With probably the most powerful move in the game being unleashed, the Yamask sacrifices a huge chunk of his health, however, leaving it more vulnerable. The question is whether the cost can catch up to the benefits. Not feeling the effects yet, however, the Mega Abomasnow does not seem to pay this much heed, instead releasing roots from her limbs, which serve as powerful anchors for her to Ingrain into the nutritious soil, and begin to reap its benefits. And yet, it would seem that she is adept at turning around, the roots flexible and intertwined around the base of her hands and legs, allowing for satisfying rotatory capacity.

It it time, it would seem, to initiate the offensive for the Mega Abomasnow. At the same time, the opposition seems to be intent on making sure that this is not what happens. He has already given up a lot of health, and what he needs to do now is stall for time. Therefore, he charges his mask with light, especially the part where the eyes are carved in, perhaps to give the move some flavour by making it imitate eye lasers. On the other hand, Snaerblasa's mouth opens wide, only to release bright green Energy, which is concentrated at a point between her jaws, spiraling into itself in order to form a Ball. The two moves are launched about simultaneously, and, while a Ray of light affects the mind of one of the Pokemon, with the intention to Confuse her, the other is blasted away by an attack that has a powerful set of boosts behind it. As the round comes to an end, however, Cadaver still seems to be in control of his actions, which is more than can be said for Frost Tree Pokemon. At least the effects of the incredible damage-over-time are being alleviated by the nutrients in the wet soil that she is standing on, slightly submerged.

Cadaver falls out of her first third of health, but Snaerblasa has also taken some damage, and she is confused. Both sides can go on.

Actually, after some thought, I think I should mention something important; Curse's huge-for-a-damage-over-time damage has weakened the confusion somewhat. Ironthunder -- and then TheKnightsFury -- may re-order if this affects things.

ok, that messes my plan up a bit. I might as well reorder then.

Double Shadow Ball, keeping a distance to avoid the shitty splash damage.

Absol Round 20: Disastrous

The Mega Abomasnow tries to drive out her confusion, her eyes peeled, but her head lowered to the ground, and her body poised in an intense attempt to concentrate. There is not an abundance of time at this point, now that the residual damage has established itself. The opposition seems to be intent on encouraging this process, his mouth opening slightly, only to launch a large Ball of Shadowy energy at his opponent. She growls in pain, but, then, as she is snapped out of confusion, she stares ahead blankly, embarrassed to have let that out so early in the battle. She turns around uncharacteristically shiy, her feet already in the water, and, leaning down, she drinks some of the liquid. This does not seem to do anything other than reinforce her against the Fire Type. The Yamask seems to get in a clear shot on his opponent, anyway, however, lifting his mask up to reveal the Shadows that have accumulated where it had once been. Concentrating it into a Ball, he launches it at the Frost Tree Pokemon, and, rooted to her spot, confused and naturally slow, she cannot do anything to evade it.

The explosion, powerful as it has been, does not seem to even shake the Mega Abomasnow up a little. This time, she is not going to allow herself to show any signs of pain. Such a small Pokemon should not be more than a minor nuisance to her. She decides to show her opponent how the attack is really used, a tall feat, considering her opponent's Same Type Attack Bonus. Charging Ghost Type energy in front of her, concentrating it into a Ball of her own, she unleashes the power of the Shadows at the Yamask. He is blasted away, lightweight and affected super effectively. However, he is not going to give up so easily, either. He has invested heavily in stalling further, and that has to count for something. His victory, now, is only a matter of time and perseverance. Snaerblasa seems to intend to cut things fine already, however, writing the story of how there were four moves used in a round, and all of them were the same move. In a rather mundane display of power, another explosive Ball of Shadows is unleashed, and, as before, it results in a lot of pain for the Pokemon on the receiving end of the typespam. And then the passive damage and healing both take place.

Snaerblasa is still in her first third of health, while Cadaver is deep into his last. The latter may want a break, but, considering the circumstances, she is also capable of pushing herself if she needs to.

Round 21

Snaerblasa wishes to finally finish the battle, only one last, weakened Pokemon standing in her way to doing so. It would mean a successful Gym Trainer Defense for her team, and, as the Mega Pokemon among them, she seems to recognize it as her responsibility to ensure this. She starts this one last push as gently as a Pokemon of her power knows, taking a deep breath, and releasing a gust of Wind charged with Icy energy, which pushes on, striking the Ghost Type for some damage, but his ethereal state seems to reduce it somewhat, the move possessing both physical and Special properties. The Yamask lets out a sigh of relief, but this certainly does not help the Pain he is in. He seems to want to Split it, to make his opponent feel what he is going through. The immense difference in health between the two Pokemon means that he might not be able to do this in its entirety, but, at this point, all he can do is try. Cadaver creates a link for the passage of health, and begins to drain it from his opponent, doing so as hastily as he can. The Mega Abomasnow, however, does not seem to want to have any of this. Rustling her body, she conjures up Leaf-like projectiles that are, unlike their Razor counterpart, composed of energy. Seeking out their target, they shoot through the air, striking the Ghost Type for some damage. However, he manages to hang on, and, in fact... wait a minute, he has failed to drain any health at all.

Cadaver is refreshed, but is barely able to battle. Snaerblasa, meanwhile, has fallen to her.

Alright i would like to point out that its actually illegal for a pokemon to use a move that recovers health once it has used ghost!curse

Curse (GH) -- If the user is a Ghost type Pokémon, it uses a significant amount of energy to cast a spell on itself and one opponent. If the spell is successful, the ghost loses half of their remaining health in order for the opponent to lose half of the sacrificed health each round. The health sacrificed is capped at a quarter of the user's total maximum health, so if the user is on more than half health, they'll only sacrifice a quarter of their maximum regardless. A ghost using Curse cannot use any methods of healing while Curse is active. After the Curse is placed, the damage done per round will decrease if the user is far from the opponent, although reduction is up to the referee. After the user is KO'ed, the attack will do a lowered amount of damage in the 2 subsequent rounds after the knockout, and then completely fade away. If the user or the target is recalled, the curse stops, but switching moves will allow it to continue.

Im not sure if it applies to pain split but i personally would count it as a method of healing

Pain Split counts as a draining move, not healing, but one could make a fair case for it not working, yes.

I would not mind, but I believe Pain Split should not work. While it does not technically count as a healing move, the point is that it is still healing. Curse is incredible powerful already, and it does not need to have a loophole that plenty of its users can exploit.

Take the memento with pride Snaerblasa, we have upheld the grass GT tradition of defeating IronThunder!

Better luck next time Iron, even if you think you went badly, you didnt. I was actually incredibly worried when you pulled ghost curse and if i had chosen to go with lileep instead you probably would have beaten me.

Mew mind finishing this off quickly lol I want my TL4!

Sunflora Round 22

I wanted to draw up something for this Memento scene because there is so little to write, but if you want me to end this quickly...

Cadaver is close to defeat, but he is not going to fall at his opponent's hands, part of the reason being the fact that her hands are busy supporting her very bulky body, and, owing the Mega Abomasnow being rooted, she would not be able to reach out this far with her hands, anyway.

The rest of the reasoning to support this decision is much more conventional for dramatic fiction like this -- he wants to fall at his own terms. In this case, these terms involve lowering the opponent's offensive power in a manner that, while irrelevant here, would make for a good support maneuver in many situations.

Leaving behind a Memento of himself in the form of a powerful debuff, he sacrifices the last traces of his vitality. His arms spread wide as he descends to the ground so slowly that it almost appears rehearsed. Her head held high, Snaerblasa waits patiently, knowing that good times are coming. Or they have already come.

And then, a prismatic aura is released by the Mega Abomasnow. Her excess energy dissipates, leaving her in the form she is most familiar and comfortable with.

Cadaver is unable to battle. Brumdibadmr, Vatnutlagi, Visaljos, Snaerblasa and TheKnightsFury are the winners of this battle.

TheKnightsFury receives 4 Knockouts and 8 Trainer Points.
Ironthunder receives 4 Trainer Points.
Mew The Gato receives 9 Service Points.
