UPN PASBL: Snorby vs Ironthunder

Pummelo: [Indoors/Outdoors] A simple arena, the Pummelo arena consists primarily of fairly easily manipulated soil, with a large circular pool situated at the center of the arena. The pool is deep enough to accomodate most Pokemon, but larger Pokemon will be unable to do more complex maneuvers. The pool is roughly as wide as it is deep. The ground of the remaining arena is rife with rocks and other such minerals, meaning attacks such as Stealth Rock work with impunity, and attacks such as Earthquake will transmit readily. The main aspect setting the Rock arena apart is the numerous boulders interspersed across the field. These will provide ample cover for most smaller Pokemon, and are open for manipulation. This includes being used to fuel attacks such as Rock Slide, as well as being able to be thrown by some stronger Pokemon. Within reason, if one of the batters mentions positioning of a rock, the battler is considered to be correct unless it contradicts a previous statement.

Special Training: Legendary Blade of the Great Old Ones (Various)
Thanks to his centuries of training as well as his natural abilities as the greatest blade in the Universe, Excalibur has learned a great many moves over the centuries. These are: Razor Shell, Psycho Cut, Leaf Blade. Each of these may be used twice per battle. He has trained long and hard enough that the metal sheath he carries around no longer inhibits his movement; his speed and agility is identical to the average levitating Pokemon. In addition, all his slashing attacks receive a 20% boost instead of the 10% boost a normal Honedge would get. Excalibur may never evolve into a Doublade nor an Aegislash, and has long since forgotten how to use the moves Rain Dance, Iron Defense, Gyro Ball, Power Trick, Autotomize, Rock Smash.

OK, here goes.

-Sammy the Quilladin, level 2, male, HP Steel (Chespin for the match)

-Jacob the Bunnelby, level 1, male, HP Psychic
-Kitsune the Braixen, level 2, female, HP Ice (Fennekin for the match)
-Erik the Shuckle, level 2, male, HP Grass

Bio: Sick and tired of being fairly bad at stalling, his main objective in combat, Erik resolved to change his ways. Training with the creatures of the forest such as Vivillon and Venusaur, he learnt and mastered stronger techniques so he could truly become one with the stall. He also created a brand-new powder move of his own. He also now sells various strange and mysterious powders in a back alley of Santalune City. “Obligatory ‘don’t do drugs, kids’”
Special Training: I got your powder stuff right here.
Shuckle has become a master of powders. He can secrete his own special brand of powder which causes the opponent to begin suffering from a burn, and the intense spicy aroma accompanying it will leave the foe with diminished vision for the next round (ordered as Chilli Powder). In addition, his mastery of powders has left him able to use them as well as any Grass type, and he has learned Powder, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder and Stun Spore. He can use each of them three times per battle.

Bio: Being the soul of a dead person and all, Cadaver’s species tend to remember their former lives. For Cadaver, this was the life of a stage magician, with tricks to bewilder and astound the masses. Some of these passed over into his new existence as a Ghost-type.
Special Training: Hocus pocus, and shazam!
Cadaver has learnt Confuse Ray, Hypnosis and Sucker Punch. In addition, while still affected by diminishing returns, Cadaver's Astonish is affected by them less so, diminishing at half the normal rate.

Botticelli and Salabee.

Botticelli, open with a Water Gun on the Fennekin, follow with a Bubblebeam on the same target.

Salabee, let out a Confuse Ray aimed at Bunnelby, then let loose a Will-O-Wisp on the same target.

Round 1: TYPESPAM

Welcome one and all to this place of rocks, easily manipulable soil and a big ass round pond in the center yeah!

Liking their surroundings both trainers send out their own pair of pokemon with Snorby sending out a Squirtle named Botticelli & a Magby named Salabee! On the other hand we have Iroh sending out a Braxian named Kitsune & a Bunnelby named Jacob!

Starting us off Botticelli spews out a torrent of pressurized water which soaks Kitsune for some heavy damage just as the fox sends an orb of shining energy into the sky...looks like clouds are clearing away! Meanwhile Salabee can be seen sending spoopy lights at Jacob who simply closes his eyes and suffers no ill effects!

Ready to continue his assault Botticelli summons a fleet of bubbles that he swiftly drives into Kitsune, the fire team yelping in pain as they pop all over her, messing with her fur and making things all slippery! Looking to make up for past failures Salabee whips up a series of blue flames and sends them to his previous target, the Bunnelby yelping as they burn his upper right side.

Not to be outdone Iroh's team enacts on their orders, the duo sending out a giant beam of light and a mighty, earth coated punch to their respective targets.

After the round...
Salabee is out his first quarter, half outa ghost.
Botticelle took a nasty blow ans is about the same health wise as his ally.
Kitsune his at half mark. Her Sunny Day will be in effect this coming round.
Jacob didn't get hit too hard but is burnt.

All are great for two.

Salabee, Cross Chop Jacob's burns, then hit him with a Fire Blast.

Botticelli, be amused at the fox trying to woo you when you're a tortoise. Then blast said fox with a pair of Hydro Pumps. If you somehow find yourself attracted to it, ignore it and let loose an Aura Sphere for Jacob to eat.

Round 2: Dang

After taking a brief moment to lick their wounds Iroh's team decides to take the initiative with Jacob rushing towards Salabee with his ears glowing a light pink, taking almost no time at all to reach the babymon and give him a pair of energy injections with the surprisingly dexterous extremities although this does little outside causing some minor pain. On the other hand Kitsune is taking a different and rather odd approach, the foxy fox trying to seduce Botticelli who, is just frankly not interested.

Although he's recoiling somewhat from his foes attacks Salabee dons a malicious grin on his adorable little face, the Magby coating his tiny hands with an orange energy before delivering a pair of chops to the rabbit's burnt areas causing him to shriek in pain. On the other half of the team Botticelli can be seen wobbling in place, his chest swelling before he then fires out a positively massive amount of water at Kitsune, the agile fox managing to avoid some of the blow but flipped onto the ground as a result.

Deciding that this battle is getting a little too gritty for their taste both Kitsune and Jacob decide to lighten up the mood of the battle field with a lovely duet & by lovely, I mean it sounds soooo bad that it makes Salabee's ears bleed as the sound washes over him.

With both Kitsune and Salabee (especially Salabee) in agreement that their singing was bad and that they should both feel bad, each pokemon fires off some huge ass attacks, one taking the form of another torrential blast of water and the other taking the form of a giant burning man that blasts their opposition to hell and back....especially Kitsune who's all KO'd and stuff.

Kitsune is unable to battle! Iroh your next pokemon please!

After the round...
Bunny is in final quarter. Still good for two.
Turtle went untouched. Tired as all hell though.
Baby went to around final quarter as well. Still good for two.

Sammy, go. Seed Bomb into Energy Ball on the Squirtle.

Jacob, try a Retaliate on Magby, then Strength to throw it into the water.

Salabee, Flamethrower on Sammy before Mach Punching Jacob. If you're still able, make it a three with Overheat on Sammy.

Botticelli, ride a Surf Wave over the energy ball, hit Jacob with it.

Round 3: KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!

Recalling the still form of Kitsune Iroh sends out his next champion, a Chespin named Sammy who starts off the round by showering Botticelli with a bombardment of explosive seed like projectiles causing the Water type a significant amount of pain. Meanwhile a very pissed off Jacob can be seen trying to avenge his fallen comrade, the Bunnelby delivering a vicious tackle to Salabee and succeeding to launch the little pokemon a short distance as a result.

With his ally just kinda standing there taking a beating while keeping an ever watchful eye on Sammy Salabee decides to begin Snorby's assault by breathing fire all over the object of his gaze causing the Grass type all sorts of pain. Screaming in pain Sammy takes some time to collect himself before summoning a verdant orb in front of him, with this being Botticelli's que to actually do stuff the Squirtle begins to pull water from the central pond to create a wave to stand upon, unfortunately for him, he's tired as fuck and gets nailed by the orb as it explodes all over him, still none the less he manages to complete the wave and rides it all the same swooshing over Jacob on a wave of rabbit pain.

Looking to get one final hit on one of his opponents Salabee swiftly charges at Jacob and delivers a quick punch to the Bunnelby sending him into oblivion.

Still standing Salabee summons upon all of his strength, the baby summoning up a massive inferno of flames which he then blasts Sammy with nuking the ever living shit out of him.

Jacob is unable to battle! Iroh your final pokemon please!

After the round...
Both of Snorby's mon are well into critical health, Bottecelli is fresh, Salabee won't be doing much of anything because he's that tired.

Sammy has fallen around his final quarter.

Sammy, Energy Ball on the Squirtle. Repeat if it's not dead, otherwise Secret Power on the Magby. Assuming you're still alive. Which I highly doubt.

Round 4: Death

Pokemon get swapped out, a Yamask taking the place of his fallen comrade, deciding to play with his food said Yamask (who is named Cadaver) decides to Spite his foe, making an already tired Magby very fucking tired, this however means nothing as he doesn't get KO'd like he would if he was hit by literally anything more powerful than a Fake Out.

On the half of Iroh's team we have Sammy who does the right thing and flings a verdant orb at Botticelli knocking the turtle out. Seeing the error of his ways Cadaver sends spoopy orb at Salabee and knocks him out as well.

Bottecelli & Salabee are unable to battle, Snorby your last pair please.

After the round...

Excalibur, go for a Shadow Claw on Cadaver. Follow up with a Shadow Ball.

Round 5: Boom

With both of his first pokemon out of comission Snorby sends out his next duo a Sigilyph who I'll be calling Uno & EXCALIBUR!!!! the Honedge

Starting off the round Excalibur coates his blade in a shadow energy before taking a swipe at Cadaver who lets out some unpleased sounds despite the attack going through his ethereal body. Meanwhile Uno can be seen shining bright like a diamond....well until Cadaver socks the weird bird thing in the chest causing it to flinch. Seeing as how his ally has started doing stuff Sammy decides to as well, the Chespin summoning up a series of pointy rocks and launching them at Uno causing him a great deal of pain.

Seeing as how his opponent is still alive and kicking Uno once again becomes all shiny and stuff, this time however he manages to complete the charge up and swoops at Sammy, knocking him out on the spot. On the other side of things Excalibur can be seen exploding himself and his foe in a giant plume of spoopy energy, but hey, not all is lost because Cadaver decides to do the exact same thing!

Sammy is unable to battle! Cadaver gets to fight alone now.

After the round...
Both of Snorby's mon have dropped just under half point.

Cadaver is on his final quarter.

It was Super Effective!

Cadaver fainted.....

Cadaver is unable to battle, Snorby is the winner!

I get 8 SP (TL4 HYYYYYYYPE) for reffing
