Arena: Playground
Spoiler: show

Battles here take part within a large, school Playground. The main battle will take place within the center of the park. The ground below is lawn, the grass kept cut short. Rocks can be easily summoned from underground for use in attacks like Stealth Rock, and attacks such as Earthquake will transmit readily. Surrounding the area will be numerous pieces of Playground equipment, ranging from swings to slides. These can be uprooted by Pokemon of sufficient strength, but this will be no easy task. Within reason, if one of the batters mentions positioning of an object, the battler is considered to be correct unless it contradicts a previous statement. There is a strange atmosphere permeating the entire arena, which will cause baby Pokemon to fight more enthusiastically. This arena is outdoors only.

Fast ref at your service! would you like 4/6 or 6/9? Zelphy please squad up!

Using this as a leveler, but if ya'll don't want to do 4/6 I'm fine with 6/9
-------------

Clare: Vulpix - 1 Female *shiny*

Briggs: Shieldon - 1 Female

Vallent: Deerling - 1 Male

Nina: Sentret -1 Female

Penetria: Swellow - 3 Female
Biography: Ever since she was born Penetria has lived in a mutualistic relationship with a symbiote, the strange organism living on in her blood stream, feeding off of her fluids but granting her amazing powers, as well as triggering capabilities her species in well known for.
Special Trait: Symbiotic Wrath
Due to the symbiote living inside of her Penetria is to for all intents and purposes, treated to be under the effect of a status. The symbiote grants a 10% boost to her physical attacks as well as granting her the same resistance to tiring that Fighting types have. Because the symbiote is not a true status, it can not be "cured" by any means. Because her body has developed to be easier for the symbiote to gather nutrients Drain moves used against her will be 10% more effective, also granting the user of the drain a 10% boost to their attack for 2 rounds (including the round the drain is used).

Winter: Florges - 3 Female
Biography: Winter's story is that of two desperate ones. The Flower: Deep within the forests surrounding Snowpoint there once was a flower unlike any other for rather for it was as if it where made out of the very landscape, with a bud of snow and a stem of pure ice. Many came for this flower, with rumors of it having had been blessed by some spirit or another but none would ever find it, the harsh climates surrounding it killing off all those who searched...Winter: Shunned by her kind for not being able to bond with a flower Winter wandered across the world in hopes of finding a flower that wouldn't reject her until one day she overheard talk of the legendary Ice Lotus, a truly unique specimen of snow and ice. Having long given up on trying to bond with regular flowers Winter was filled with hope that perhaps this thing of the cold would be the first thing in a long time to warm up to her, and so he resolved to find it. After months of being blown about by the harsh winds and biten with cold it seemed at Winter's search would come to a premature end, but just as all seemed lost a bright glow engulfed her, before she knew it, her and the object of her search was with her, the shunned caretaker & the sought after bloom of death, became one.
Special Trait: Ice Lotus
Winter's SC grants infinite Ice type energy as opposed to infinite Grass, in addition to this all of her grass type offensive moves are now Ice type with all of them being made out of ice or snow depending on what the ref thinks most fits. She has 1 HB of grass type energy. She also now knows Freeze-Dry with the same effectiveness of an Ice type, additionally she now knows Horn Leach & Wood Hammer, creating constructs of Ice to perform them. Because the above is tied to the nature of the flower she's fused with Gastro Acid will not disable any part of this sig only managing to cause her a great deal of discomfort in the round it is used.
HP: Ground
-------------------
Assuming you don't try to abuse my gaping fighting weakness, you only have 4 pokemon to counter squad against.

Jeesh, come on zelph. You know I'd never do something like that...

-Cale the Froakie, level 1, male, HP Ground
-Minerva the Noibat, level 1, female
-Cass the Venipede, level 1, female, HP Fighting
-Kitsune the Fennekin, level 1, female, HP Ice
-Bubble the Solosis, level 1, male, HP Poison
-Riki the Dedenne, level 2, male, HP Steel
Spoiler: show
Bio: Riki has an obsession with Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS. As do I, to an extent, but I have to rip the furball away from my console to actually practice battling, which is... also kinda like me. Anyway, his obsession with the game and the legendary Heropon (who he identifies with... somehow) has led to some rather interesting results on the battlefield.
Signature move: Riki use Arts!
Riki can now use three of his namesake’s Arts, namely Burninate, Freezinate and Bedtime. All the attacks deal solid damage of Fire, Ice and Psychic respectively, each with a 20% chance to inflict burns, localised freezing, or sleep.

As for scaling, I honestly don't mind. 4/6 is fine by me.

And I will be leading with... Kitsune and Cale.

Well they do have Rock Smash & Power Up Punch...but I'll let it slide.

Nina & Clare come on out!

Clare set up a Sunny Day then give the opposing fox an Extrasensory.

Nina Dig down and strike Kisune before giving um a Dynamic Punch to think about.

Hmm, ok. This ought to be fun.
Cale, set up a Rain Dance after that Vulpix gets Sunny Day off, then Magic!Surf the bugger.
Kitsune, Foul Play the Dynamic Punch then Fire Blast the dude before rain sets in next round.

Round 1: Doubles Troubles!

(not doing a big intro cause its only a leveler)

The school bell rings, marking the beginning of lunch time. Two trainers walk out of class onto the playground, eager to provide some lunch time entertainment. Zelphy points at IronThunder calling him out. IT takes no pause, tossing two pokeballs out into the playground. Two pokemon appear, Kitsune the Fennekin lets out a cheerful howl as she embraces the chance to battle, while Cale the froakie simply lets out a prolonged croak. Zelphy smiles, its seems he is excited by his opponents selection. Tossing out two pokeballs of his own revealing Clare the vulpix, who growls softly at her foxy opponent and Nina the playful Sentret, who stands up on her tail analyzing her surroundings.

Clare takes the first move, releasing a beam of into the sky. The few clouds that hover in the sky today instantly disperse as the suns rays begin to strengthen. In reply to his opponents weather manipulation, Cale beings to dance in a strange pattern in attempt to summon some rain! A swirling orb of water forms in his hands which he launches into the sky. The orb disperses into the air, bringing some clouds back over the battlefield, returning the weather to normal. While the other pokemon have been busy waging a weather war, Nina has begun to dig deep into the earth, planning to assault her opponent from below. Kitsune sits patiently when all of a sudden, Nina rockets out of the ground slugging her right in the face.

Clare who holds a bit of a grudge against Kitsune, releases a golden extrasensory beam straight at the small fox. The psychic energies hurt her and disrupt her sense of smell, causing her a lot of irritation. All of a sudden Clare is struck by a wave of water! Its seems Cale had been busy sending the wave of water surfing across the arena at her. She picks herself up and shakes herself dry, that attack hurt a lot. Meanwhile Nina has now charged her fist with a dynamic force and is swing a punch right at Kitsune's head! In an act of foul play, Kitsune swipes her claw across in a similar action. An explosion covers the two in smoke, as the smoke clears the two remain standing but Kitsune looks better off, having weakened her opponents attack and avoided confusion. Kitsune pushes forward, releasing a powerful blast of fire from her maw. The towering flames arch towards Nina, who tries her best to avoid the attack but is hit by most of the flames. The fire caresses her body, causing her great pain and discomfort but they dont seem to leave any lingering burns.

Cale avoided any damage this turn. Kitsune and Nina are about tied for health just sitting on their second thirds, while Clare remains just inside her first. Energy usage was similar across the board with Kitsune using the most and Clare using the least. Kitsune's dark is over half gone and so is Nina's fighting, Clare has just over half her psychic left. Everyone is good for two.

Your move Ironthunder!

Clare set up a Reflect making sure to intercept attacks meant for your team mate, then give out a Roar to stop Kitsune's Flamethrower.

Nina use a double dose of Thunderbolt on the Froakie.

Round 2: Distance

Cale punches into the soft ground of the playground, summoning up some rocks from deep within the earth. He sends the rocks sliding towards Clare. Clare keeps her composure and summons up a reflective screen, the rocks crash harmlessly into the screen, with Clare grinning safely behind it. Meanwhile Kitsune has coated herself in flames and is charging at Nina, she is so close to Nina that Clare has no chance to get across to help her friend. Kitsune crashes into Nina knocking her backwards, she feels slightly limber after her attack. Nina picks herself up, rising onto her tail she releases a crackling bolt of thunder towards Cale. The Froakie tries to jump out of the way but the bolt is too quick, striking him for super effective damage!

Cale picks himself up, that attack was a real shock to his system! He begins to dart towards Nina, leaping into the air with his fist drawn back for a power up punch! Clare tries to get across to help her friend but the distance is a bit to much for her to cover. Cale swings his punch into Nina's chest, he feels his strength grow slightly. Kitsune moves to continue a relentless assault on Nina developing fire deep within her body. But while she is charging the attack, Clare lets out a threatening roar! She doesnt have much to fear from her fellow fox pokemon, but the surprise slightly throughs off her flamethrower! Nina takes advantage of this and manages to avoid alot of the attack, some of the flames just managing to catch her flank as she dodges. Nina turns and looks towards Cale once more. She lets out another cracking thunderbolt, zapping the poor Cale for more supereffective damage.

Cale took a big hit, now tied for health with Nina, nearing their final third. Both Kitsune and Clare avoided damage. Both Nina and Kitsune have entered their second thirds of energy and would enjoy a break while the other two are fine. Cale and Clare have used similar amounts of energy, nearing their second thirds. Cale has an attack boost and Kitsune has a speed boost. Ninas electric is gone, Cales rock is around half and Clare barely has any psychic left. Reflect is at around half strength.

Zelphy its your move.

Why did Reflect stop Rock Slide when the Reflect was ordered to be used to protect Nina?

The Reflect was ordered as its standard, my orders where for my Vulpix to jump in front of or intercept attacks aimed for my other pokemon, the Reflect being used a shield to make the strategy somewhat more viable.

I reffed it as standard, the problem was that Nina was too far away after using dig. She was literally over in Close quarters while Clare was still back in a similar position to where she started. I did mention in my description that she was trying to get over to cover Nina but the distance was too far.

Clare, make your way to Nina's side and give the opposing fox a Spite.

Nina give your opponents a Wide Spread Hyper Voice then Sucker Punch the Froakie out of a move.

Cale, Magic!Surf the pair when they're close to each other. Follow with a Rock Slide, aimed at Vulpix.
Kitsune, Protect the Spite, then launch a Psychic at Clare.

Also, is it 4/6 or 6/9? I honestly don't remember.

Round 3: Picking up Speed

Clare starts of the round by moving to Nina's side, once there she begins to lay a curse of Kitsune, spiteful of her last move. Kitsune quickly raises a protective barrier to shield her from the attack. Clare ends her curse early thinking it better to preserve energy then waste it. Meanwhile the clever Cale is taking advantage of his opponents positioning and has released a wave of water towards Clare and Nina. The surf wave crashes into Nina while Clares reflect seems to hold. Cracks begin to develop and the screen shatters, a small amount of water hits Clare but she seems to tolerate it. Nina shakes herself dry and lets out a widespread attack of her own, her booming hyper voice sounding out across the arena. Cale and Kitsune are struck by the attack, the sheer amplitude causing them pain.

Cale begins to channel rock energy into the ground to summon up some rocks, Nina has other plans though as she charges dark energy into her paw. She rushes at Cale and sucker punches him, putting a stop to his attack! Kitsune is still defending her ally though as she lets out a psychic wave that crashes into Clare, the vulpix staggers as she takes another blow but she seems alright.

Cale is now inside critical health. Nina is a bit out side of critical while Clare is close to the midpoint. Kitsune is just above the midpoint of health. Kitsune really needs a break now. Nina would like a break. Cale can manage two since he was interrupted. Clare is good for two.

Your move iron

Does it block magic surf? I wasn't sure if magic surf was actually composed of water or water energy.

Cale, Scald the Sentret, then Rock Slide the Vulpix if you're not dead yet.
Kitsune, Flamethrower Sentret, then Psychic the Vuplix if you're not dead yet.

Same orders regardless, I fully expect the pair of them to die this round. I've basically lost at this point, I'm just dragging it out so it wasn't a waste of time.
