The Wildwood

Spoiler: show
The Wildwood
The Wildwood is a beautiful, thick rainforest that stretches for an immense distance and serves as a spiritual holy place for those most in tune with nature. The majority of battling will take place in the central area of the wood, with a pond surrounded by large rocks slightly to the south. The pond isn't particularly large, only about a twenty foot radius, sitting about ten feet deep at its center. The edges don't taper off to the ground, however, and even at its shallowest point it still runs about five feet deep. The air in the Wildwood is thick with a heavy humidity, making Fire types uncomfortable, while the small drizzle of water from above couples with this to give the benefits of a Rain Dance, without the drawbacks for things such as sun based healing moves or reduction of Fire attacks. The heat here is incredibly intense, however, and rays of sun shine in through the canopy, making Ice types uncomfortable, while giving the benefits of a Sunny Day save for the boost to Fire attacks, without the drawbacks for things such as Electric attacks or reduction of Water and Ice attacks. The canopy above is fairly thick, making it so flying Pokemon cannot ascend particularly high, and the brush and trees on the ground are thick enough to be easily jumped back and forth from, while far enough apart that larger Pokemon can move between them with relative ease. Vines hang frequently from the trees, allowing for swinging or shaking, though doing the latter does nothing other than allow for some comical relief. Because this is considered sacred ground, it cannot be erased by Magic Room, while moves that benefit its inhabitants such as Terrain moves will require slightly less energy to use and have their effects slightly strengthened. Moves that affect or use the terrain will cost slightly less energy for its inhabitants to use while costing any intruders slightly more.
Alrighty you two, action time.

Cherrim Cherrim sez: Gym Match Agogo!

Thanks for taking this Miror, and good luck MtG, I'll make sure you need it.

Solstice Badge
Attachable Badge
Representing both the change in the seasons and the change in one's self, the tree with four colors of leaves that shapes the Solstice Badge is given to those who can defeat Sneasel12 in the Wildwood Gym.
Badge Effect: Seasoned Warrior
Using the power of the seasons, the wearer of the Solstice Badge may change the type of the move they are currently performing to represent one of the four seasons. The types available to be changed to are Fire for Summer, Water for Autumn, Ice for Winter, and Ground for Spring. Moves must use Significant energy or less in order to be able to have their type changed by this effect. These effects can be used a total of four times and each season can be represented a maximum of twice.
Attached to Athelas the Cherrim

Smelting Badge
Attachable Badge
The Smelting Badge shows a Pokťmon’s ability to be involved with their environment, and the strength of the minerals and other materials that have created the world we live in today. By defeating the gym leader and his Pokťmon that are so engaged with the world around them, a victorious opponent gains a powerful tool. Any Pokťmon that welds this badge has the ability to passively regenerate energy over time. This badge only restores a light amount of energy per turn, and caps at 1.5 Hyper Beams of energy regenerated.
Attached to Triffid the Ludicolo

Harvester's Token
The Harvester's Token denotes one's prowess in caring for and farming the bounties of nature. It can be attached to Grass type pokťmon only and greatly enhances their natural abilities. Rain will heal them by a mild amount each round, sunlight will significantly boost their mobility, healing moves cost half their usual energy cost and draining moves are much more efficient. This token may be purchased during the week long Thanksgiving event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.
Attached to SimbelmynŽ the Cradily

Birdkeeper's Token
The Birdkeeper's Token signifies freedom of thought and movement that transcends the art of the possible. It can be attached to Flying type pokťmon and greatly enhances their natural abilities. They will be significantly faster and more agile than their peers in whatever their usual mode of transportation is, able to travel further and with more precision and dexterity than others without expending much more energy. At ref's discretion, they will be more able to dodge attacks and harder to evade when using their own. This token may be purchased during the week long Easter event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.
Attached to Paopu the Tropius

Starter's Token
This token boosts STAB attacks by 5%. So, for example, a Charizard wearing this token token will have boosted Fire and Flying type moves. If a Pokťmon has had its type changed via type, this token boosts the type(s) to which it has been changed and does not boost the type(s) which it has lost.

Athelas: Female Cherrim (level 6)
Biography: Athelas has spent much time being a primary support to her teammates. With time and training, she has managed to tap into the inner strength that her fellow teammates possess, though she can only do so when she is with them, and her potential in doing so is somewhat limited by her own abilities.
Hidden Power: Rock
Special Training: Let Me Be The Carry!
When Athelas is in battle and a teammate is sent out, she may choose three types that she has access to, and from each of these types choose three moves that her teammate knows, for a total of nine. She is then able to use these moves as long as her teammate remains in battle. Normal and typeless may not be selected as energy types. She may only use a move from her teammate's movepool once per round, and doing so costs an extra light amount of typeless energy. Moves gained from signatures cannot be copied in this manner.

Triffid: Female Ludicolo (level 6)
Hidden Power: Rock
Sigless

SimbelmynŽ: Female Cradily (level 6)
Biography: SimbelmynŽ has trained herself away from the more destructive natures of battling, instead opting to focus on her species' incredible ability to sustain themselves. Harsh training has allowed her cells to cause influxes of energy to additionally restore themselves, and to create additional energy upon recovery of damaged cells.
Hidden Power: Psychic
Special Training: Regenerative Focus
Whenever SimbelmynŽ regains health, she also regains energy equal to 1/4 the health regained. The reverse is also true, with SimbelmynŽ regaining an additional 1/4 the energy regained in health whenever she regains energy. These effects cannot cause each other to activate in a chain of any form. Due to the focus being taken away from her more destructive battling techniques, she can no longer use Sludge Bomb, Seed Bomb, or Stone Edge. She also can no longer use Recover, thanks to her cells no longer properly responding to the quick regenerative powers of the move.

Paopu: Female Tropius (level 6)
Biography: Paopu has always enjoyed her species' signature fruit, but for some reason or another she's never been able to find a way to share them with opponents without being scolded for doing so. As such, she improvised a new fruit to give opponents while still helping her team.
Hidden Power: Rock
Special Training: No-one Expects The Banana
Every time Paopu uses a move, at the end of the move she will toss out a homing banana made of typeless energy at a random foe. The banana costs minor energy and does minor damage to the struck foe.

Yangala-Coke: Male Breloom (level 6)
Biography: Yangala-Coke is proud of his heritage of a physical fighter capable of unleashing a medley of statuses upon his foes. But doing so in a stop and go fashion wasn't quite doing it for him. Instead he decided to combine the two into a technique to call his own.
Hidden Power: Ice
Signature Technique: Powdered Movements
Whenever Yangala-Coke uses a move that requires physical movement (such as a punch, kick or spin like Swords Dance, but not energy barrages like Seed Bomb), he may be ordered to do a Powdered variant of the move. When he does this, he will exert a light amount more energy than normal to loose powder-like energy around himself as he moves. This energy has a 35% chance of afflicting anything it comes into contact with with any random status, even those not normally available from powders, and will even float to the ground and affect those underneath any aerial path Yangala-Coke may have taken. Because these powders are strictly energy, they are capable of affecting inorganic Pokemon.

Yggdrasil: Male Venusaur (level 6)
Biography: Yggdrasil stays true to his name, attempting to be the towering tree whose roots stretch out to feed the weaker members of his team, and whose branches reach skywards to shelter those around him. He has over time developed an emphatic bond with his team and uses this to assist them even when not presently on the battlefield.
Hidden Power: Ghost
Special Training: Roots of the World Tree
When Yggdrasil's trainer posts their squad which includes Yggdrasil, he or she may choose two (if posting second) or three (if posting first) moves which are learned by Yggdrasil. When each Pokemon in the match is sent out, Yggdrasil's trainer may choose one of these moves to add to his Pokemon's movepool. This move is usable until the Pokťmon faints or runs out of type energy. If they do not normally have this type in their move set, they will be granted a significant amount of type energy or enough for one use, whichever is greater. Mimic restrictions apply. However, due to his emphatic bond requiring a mind focused on the pure thoughts of helping his teammates, Yggdrasil is now weak to the Dark type, taking super effective damage from its attacks.

Yggdrasil will be passing the moves Leech Seed, Outrage, and Frenzy Plant for his teammates to pick from.

Thank you for refereeing, Miror! Let us do this, Sneaze.

- Galladite (Attached to Poo the Gallade)

- Reaper's Token (Attached to Starman the Aegislash)
Quote:
Reaper's Token (10 SP) - This attachable item can only be given to Ghost type Pokťmon. If the Pokťmon wearing this token has the ability to change in to the Invisible state, they are able to do so for three turns instead of the usual two and enjoy perfect invisibility where they might usually have left an icy glimmer or some other give away. If the selected Pokťmon does not already possess the ability to change in to the Invisible state, they gain the ability to do so for two turns, leaving a slight give away when they do so such as the glint of an eye or the glow of an ectoplasmic body. Ghosts wearing this token are also granted an increased ability to trick their opponents. This item causes the move Fling to deal Ghost type damage if it is thrown. This token is available only during the Halloween 2013 sale and may be purchased by trainers up to once.

Poo: Level 6 Male Gallade

Spoiler: show
Quote:
Gallade (Psychic/Fighting): Gallade are able to extend their arms and elbows. Their arms are also very sharp, and cutting attacks do slightly more damage. Their empathic abilities make it very in touch with its opponent. Attacks that deal with the opponents mental state are more effective. They also has a very good sense of balance and is hard to knock down. Teleporting also requires slightly less energy. In its Mega Form, Gallade becomes a dashing knight, sworn to defend its trainer. Its slashing moves become x1.2 more powerful. Due to its heightened concentration, it is far less vulnerable to mind-altering moves and cannot be flinched.
Prince Poo is the ruler of a mysterious floating kingdom in Chommo, by the name of Dalaam. Since a very young age, he has been training in order to join the squad, his teacher telling him that he is destined to do so. Due to his rigorous training, he is an extremely disciplined Pokťmon. While, as the ruler, he has control over all of Dalaam, and can easily do as he wishes due to his already immense power, Poo prefers to be a just and righteous monarch, devoted to the welfare of his people. His duties and training initially required him to remain in Dalaam at all times, and he did not know much about the world outside his kingdom; Dalaam, due to being floating in the sky, did not have many connections to the outside world. Despite this, Poo longed to explore and learn more about the world outside, especially the stars in the night sky. He had always been fascinated by the beautiful, gleaming jewels that adorned the expansive, seemingly never-ending night sky. In their company, he felt at peace whenever he meditated at night.

Poo, due to his incredible physical, mental and spiritual strength, his vast experience with PSI power, his immense knowledge of the arts considered valuable in Dalaam, along with his disciplined and righteous nature, is extremely famous and popular among his people. He is constantly thinking of ways to improve the lives of the people that he rules over. He is willing to endure extreme hardships for their sake. However, he also has troubled comprehending jokes that the other squad members make, during the occasions he comes over to the squad. He is well acquainted with Samadhi the Medicham, and the two often spend a long time together, meditating for the entire duration.

After several years of training, Poo’s teacher determined him worthy of going to the Place of Emptiness and go through the Trial of Mu. While many of the people in the kingdom were not very knowledgeable about it, they believed that Poo would prevail. His teacher, despite knowing how difficult it was to pass the test, and the devastating hardships that Poo would have to face, also had faith in him. Poo went to the Place of Emptiness, a tall point from where Poo could look at the entirety of Dalaam, and even the beautiful Pink Cloud that held it up in the sky. He sat down, and meditated, blocking out all distractions. In his mind, he went through an experience that would strike immense fear into the heart of almost anyone; during the trial, he had to accept that all that he had would be gone someday. He felt what it was like to lose all he cared for. However, he endured. Poo’s willpower carried him through.

At that moment, Poo realized that he had prevailed in the trial, and completed his Mu training, an astonishing feat in itself. The experience had left him a changed Pokťmon, in a positive sense. He had proved his determination. Through the experience, where he had experienced what it was like to lose everything, he had gained a lot, too. His wish of learning more about the stars was fulfilled. As the stars themselves had told the people of Dalaam, finally, the ruler had proven himself worthy of wielding their power, and calling upon them.

Hidden Power: Dark

Signature Move: PK Starstorm

Poo expends a severe amount of Psychic Type energy, in order to call down countless glowing projectiles of beautiful, bright, prismatic energy from above, each of them looking like falling stars. The projectiles are formed high in the sky, higher than the intended target of this move, or the highest point in the arena if this is impossible. The projectiles are all about as large as Poo himself, their size depending on his evolutionary stage, and due to their numbers, are difficult to dodge in a manner similar to Swift. This attack inflicts major damage, and is typeless in nature. These projectiles do not harm Poo himself. However, any airborne Pokťmon will take slightly more damage regardless of Type, and be forced down to the ground in a fashion similar to Smack Down. This move can only be used twice per battle. During his Mu training, Poo lost the ability to use Destiny Bond, Double Team and Magic Coat. Due to his honourable and disciplined nature, Poo refuses to use Grudge, Trick, Snatch and Torment. He shall also lose Giga Impact upon evolution. He is set to evolve into Gallade, and cannot evolve into Gardevoir under any circumstances, unless he drops this signature.

Item Attached: Galladite

Sectumsempra: Level 7 Female Drapion (Uplevel)

Spoiler: show
Quote:
Drapion (Poison/Dark): Drapion are able to rotate their head 360 degrees. They can extend their limbs to up to twice their length to hit distant targets or to increase their stride. They are adept at digging and can stay underground for longer than other non-Grounds. They are familiar with the Bug-type.

Starman: Level 6 Male Aegislash

Spoiler: show
Quote:
Aegislash (Steel/Ghost): Aegislash are a possessed swords and shield, their body made entirely of the blade, making them inorganic. All attacks involving slashing get a 20% boost in power. They levitate by default, but prefer to remain still when attacking and defending. When Aegislash are sent out, they will start in Shield Forme, giving taking 80% damage from all attacks. When ordered to use any attack, they will go into Blade Forme, losing this boost. They may enter Shield Forme using a move. Certain defensive moves, such as Iron Defense, King's Shield or Protect will cause Aegislash to automatically enter this Forme. As they are bound to a physical object, they are unable to achieve states other than solid.
Starman was considered just another of Giygas's soldiers, and not a particularly high-ranking one at that. The strongest of the soldiers, the mighty Ghosts of Starmen and Final Starmen, had the power to call upon the devastating power of the Starstorm. However, he did not have any such abilities. Most standard Starmen did not have any particular skill in offensive PSI, despite claiming to be far more advanced beings than earth creatures; all they were proficient in was psychic shields, draining away an enemy's PSI... and teleportation.

Knowing that he will most likely not be able to achieve a much higher position in Giygas's forces, Starman actually escaped from the Stonehenge Base, traveling far in order to be an individual, unlike the other seemingly single-minded Starmen. He did this by utilizing his teleportation, which is one of the advantages he has from being a Starman. Due to teleporting so much to travel to different places, by the time Starman encountered the squad and joined it, he was already very proficient with teleportation and other psychokinetic powers.

Hidden Power: Fairy

Signature Trait: PSI

Starman is considered to be familiar with the Psychic Type. He has gained Zen Headbutt and Teleport as moves. Starman is very proficient with Teleport; it is faster than usual, and like the Ralts line, it costs him slightly less energy than usual to use it. He gets any advantages for Teleport that a Psychic Type would receive. Additionally, Teleport will automatically sheath Honedge and Doublade, and make Aegislash take the Shield Stance. Starman can no longer use Destiny Bond and Head Smash, because he left the other Starmen.

Item Attached: Reaper's Token

Greeny: Level 6 Male Tropius

Spoiler: show
Quote:
Tropius (Grass/Flying): Tropius, while not the most agile or fastest fliers, have some of the largest wingspans, meaning that their wind based attacks are 1.2x more powerful. Any Pokťmon, including Tropius, may use a move to eat a fruit from Tropius' neck, restoring a good amount of health. They gain greater benefits from strong sunlight than other Grass types.
Greeny originates from a group of Tropius who regularly migrated in order to find the locations where their favourite berry grew. They were unable to simply feed on the berries that grow on their neck due to the fact that these only grow twice per year, and it was nowhere near enough to satisfy the hunger that their huge weight and metabolism demanded. They had to fly across the globe to other places, this strangely-coloured offshoot of the Nanab Berry only growing in very specific places. Naturally, covering such a long distance required Greeny to fly, because he and his group would obviously never be able to cross the oceans on foot.

Greeny was also aware of all the dangers in the sky, from the tiny Flying Types to the mighty, ferocious Dragon Types that could attack them. Although they were great in numbers, they did not want to lose a member due to each being valued greatly. As such, each had to know how to defend itself in the air. All of them were huge and mighty enough to do in a physical fight, but they could always be ambushed from afar. As such, they had to create a mode of defense that would remain with them even when they do not know about the presence of danger. Deciding that their huge wings were their greatest allies for this purpose, they made their flaps mightier than ever before.

Hidden Power: Ground

Special Training: Air Force

Whenever Greeny's wings are flapping, they create a powerful gust of wind all around Greeny. This gust of wind makes any ranged attacks, especially air-based ones, coming towards Greeny somewhat inaccurate and weaker, especially if the attack has to travel a long distance in order to reach Greeny. Lighter Pokemon may find it difficult to close in on Greeny, but the gust is probably not strong enough to damage the Pokemon. While training his wings, Greeny forgot how to use Giga Impact and Synthesis. Also, because Greeny eats the fruits on his neck out of battle, he is not going to have any fruits hanging from his neck during battle, and thus shall not be able to use them to heal.

Locria: Level 6 Genderless Metagross

Spoiler: show
Quote:
Metagross (Steel/Psychic): Large and bulky, Metagross now prefer to walk than to levitate. They can levitate but are slower than their pevious forms, with a lower flight ceiling. They are inorganic. Metagross are extremely intelligent and are more difficult to confuse or trick than normal. In its Mega Forme, Metagross's body doubles in its size and weight yet again, incorporating 4 new arms. In this Forme, it constantly levitates, though it is able to ground itself if desired. It can levitate with a good deal of speed, roughly at the same speed as Metang. Its claw or arm based attacks are x1.2 more effective.
Locria is one of the seven Magypsies, along with Aeolia, Doria, Lydia, Phrygia, Mixolydia and Ionia. Locria was unlike the other Magypsies in both appearance and behaviour, and thus, it was usually the odd one out. Instead of spending time with the other Magypsies, Locria would usually spend her time with a Rattata, who was its best friend. Many people considered Locria mean and cruel due to its strange, creepy laughter, but the Rattata believed otherwise. Locria, like the other Magypsies, lives in a pink seashell-shaped home, and eventually, it lost contact with the other Magypsies. The others were rather puzzled, unable to locate its whereabouts, but they never actually took any significant action in an attempt to find Locria, being very laid back.

Locria eventually developed into a rather cruel individual due to her loneliness, having little but the Rattata for company. One day, she disappeared from her home, and only came back very rarely, which made the Rattata quite sad. Partially for self-preserving, and partially because it enjoyed it, Locria made a lot of enemies. Although both are members of the squad, Locria has developed particularly great animosity against Lucas the Raichu. Also, there are rumours that Locria is actually associated with Masked Man the Scizor in some way, but this is not clear, due to the Masked Man preferring to remain alone instead. While plotting against other members of the squad, especially the Raichu, it has taken note of his potent PSI, and used it as a base to design a move that Locria wants to hone to the point of being superior.

Hidden Power: Water

Signature Move: Not-PK-Flash

Locria quickly unleashes a bright flash of light, which has the capability to interrupt moves, similar to Screech, and leaves them with blurry vision, similar to Flash. This light will not startle Locria itself or debilitate its own vision. This move requires a considerable amount of Psychic Type energy to use. Upon evolution to Metang, Locria will lose the ability to use Flash, Explosion and Self-Destruct. Upon evolution to Metagross, it will lose the ability to use Giga Impact.

Kamal: Level 6 Male Lombre (Kuh-muhl)

Spoiler: show
Quote:
Ludicolo (Water/Grass): Though able to swim and stay underwater for a fair amount of time, Ludicolo are not the best swimmers and prefer to stay near the surface of the water. They benefit from rain much more than other Grass Pokťmon and fight more enthusiastically in the rain. Dancing-related moves used by Ludicolo are slightly more potent, and a Rain Dance performed by Ludicolo will last one round longer.
Kamal used to live in a marshy, muddy area. This area lacked the nutrition for lots of kinds of plants, but lotuses were abundant. Being a herbivore, Kamal was forced to feed on lotus leaves for survival, because photosynthesis was very difficult in the area. For some reason, these lotuses repelled Bug Type Pokemon, which made the area relatively safe from predators for the Lotad. For a lot of years, along with a lot of other Lotad, he would regularly munch away on the lotus leaves. As time passed, the fact that he did not live where most other Lotad do, his body went through a change. On top of the leaf on his head, a lotus began to grow. All the Lotad and the few Lombre in the area developed this trait, too.

At first, the lotus was a mere bud. However, as he consumed more lotus leaves, the lotus started to bloom for some reason. Eventually, the beautiful and graceful flower grew to its full size, while he was still a Lotad. Lifespans for the Lotad and Lombre in the area were surprisingly short because of the lack of the resources that they usually have, and Ludicolo were virtually nonexistent. As such, Kamal decided to join the squad when it passed through the area. With his ability to fend off one of his biggest weaknesses, Kamal soon became a powerful battler, toughened by the hardships of the marsh.

Hidden Power: Ground

Signature Move: Kamal Khilay Hain

There is a lotus on top of Kamal's leaf. When he uses this move, the lotus closes its petals, gathering a high amount of energy, before the petals suddenly bloom again. This releases a burst of Grass Type energy all around Kamal, dealing significant damage before any modifiers, which is super effective on the Bug Type. However, this move is not very effective against Ground Types. Kamal cannot use Synthesis, Giga Drain, Mega Drain, Absorb and Solar Beam, because he never learned the move due to his extraordinary surroundings. Furthermore, he is no longer resistant to the Ground Type.

Interesting...

Triffid and SimbelmynŽ to start. Triffid will be obtaining the move Frenzy Plant from Yggdrasil, and SimbelmynŽ will obtain Leech Seed.

"SimbelmynŽ, start off with an Ingrain and proceed to throw a Stealth Rock at your Tropius opponent.

Triffid, start off with a Swagger and toss out a Bubblebeam at the Aegislash."

"Greeny, an Aerial Ace to hit Ludicolo, as you use the momentum to swoop down towards Starman and stay nearby.

Starman, vent out your rage on Cradily with a Brick Break to the skull.

Greeny, as Ludicolo uses Bubble Beam, use Twister to tear apart the bubbles and strike Ludicolo.

Starman, consume Cradily in a Flash Cannon."

One of the last of the great rainforests. It stretches as far as the eye can see in any direction, endless foliage and fauna contained within. The usual chatter of this type of dense habitat is absent from one particular locale inside this great biome, being what is referred to by the natives as The Wildwood. Only one lives there, he has earned the right by trial and tribulation. No others dare to dwell there, due to the sanctity of the area and the blessings placed upon it by their forefathers. But every once in a while, whispers will rush through the nearest village to the location of this revered hollow. Mutterings of foreigners entering the lands and approaching towards the place of he that is sworn to protect them. And this is one such instance, a young boy making the trek as he follows an experienced guide. They reach a particular point where ancient symbols are carved into the trees, and the native escort halts and refuses to go further. Weaving his way through the underbrush for another hundred meters or so, the young one reaches a clearing of sorts, if it can be called that. A tranquil pool occupies the inner part of this sanctum, and the region is so silent that one could hear every twig snapping beneath this intruder's feet as he makes the approach. Pulling out a rag, the young man looks about as he wipes sweat from his brow, the mixture of absurd heat and humidity causing buckets of perspiration to pour from his body. Without even so much as a rustle of a leaf is heard before a voice rings out from the grove. Startled, the boy whips around to view his soon-to-be opponent, a tall, gaunt looking man with an eerie aura about him. It quickly fades, a remnant of a time well past, but the cold stare he gives the interloper does not vanish so easily as he reaches for his satchel, removing several red-and-white spheroids that he tosses into the plants. The boy nods and tosses his own two spheres in kind. All four crack open, red light pouring out of each like lightning, which all coagulate into beings far larger than should be able to fit in such small capsules.

The light goes as quickly as it came, revealing the chosen champions for either side. On the end of the leader of this area appear Triffid the Ludicolo, who dances from one foot to the other as her hands move in rhythm, who finds herself paired with a prehistoric bottom dweller, being SimbelmynŽ the Cradily, who wobbles slightly on her small legs before plopping to the forest floor. On the other side appear two creatures that are airborne, one being similar to the two of his opponent, the creatively named Greeny the Tropius, whose wings flap docilely in the air as he watches his movements in this somewhat tight area. Next to him is a broadsword of a bygone age now possessed by a poltergeist named Starman, and the Aegislash's shield sits before him, acting as the foreguard for the spirit. Without warning, the cacophony of orders rings through the air, and the Pokemon move into action.

The Cradily looks about at her opponents and decides the best course of action is to not exactly act, but instead to root herself to the spot. Grassy tendrils begin to ingrain themselves in the nutrient rich soil, anchoring SimbelmynŽ where she is for the moment. The other three move more towards one another, with Triffid doing a strange dance that results in her swaggering before the opposition, leaving them unable to think of anything outside of attacking. Which is convenient for them, as this ends up being what they were ordered anyhow. Swooping downwards in an erratic pattern, Greeny delivers a vicious swipe with his wing to the Ludicolo, the aerial ace causing the pineapple-like creature to stagger as she swaggers, leaving the Tropius now free of its effects as she goes back towards her partner. Meanwhile, Starman approaches his other opponent, and unsheathing his sword, he brings down the sharp edge on the Cradily with enough force to break a brick, leaving SimbelmynŽ to howl a strange cry in pain. Yellow eyes flashing, SimbelmynŽ slams her large head against the ground, summoning sharp-edged rocks from well beneath the surface, which then float in the air before her. Her tentacles gesticulate in the intended direction and the stones follow suit, ripping their way through the air and soon enough through Greeny, who lets out a roar and the stones then retreat, stealthily sinking themselves in the ground to await their next victim. Triffid and Starman begin to act relatively simultaneously and both focused on different targets, with the Ludicolo bounding back and forth as she sends a veritable beam of large bubbles racing towards the Aegislash, while said sword and shield send a large orb of steel energy flashing into the Cradily with the force of a cannonball. The bubbles nearly reach their prey, but Greeny steps in as he whips himself around in a circular motion, starting a large twister, and a huge noise accompanies it as the various bits of flora begin to rustle and scrape against one another. The small tornado moves forward, popping the bubbles or misdirecting them off into random areas, and the whirlwind continues on its way until it tosses about Triffid, who is thrown slightly to the side but regains her footing quickly. The moisture and the heat both soon aid all of the three Grass-types in the area, with badges flashing on SimbelmynŽ and Triffid's bodies indicating that their own personal effects are also occurring, as well as the Cradily's roots pouring a constant stream of nutrients into her body. The four all remain near to where they started, and all still raring to go.

The gym leader's side took quite the beating this round, with Triffid already having fallen out of her first third of health, with SimbelmynŽ a bit higher but not far behind. Starman went untouched, while Greeny took a bit of damage that was mitigated somewhat by the effects of the arena. All four remain good for two, with the GL's Pokemon definitely on the fresher side. Fighting for Starman has more than half remaining. MtG to order.

"Come back, Greeny. It is Sectumsempra's turn.

Starman, turn your attention to Ludicolo for a quick Aerial Ace.

Sectumsempra, extend your limbs for a Poison Jab to Ludicolo.

Starman, send another Flash Cannon Cradily's way.

Sectumsempra, a Bulldoze, try to interrupt something."

"Trffid, Teeter Dance the moment your new foe hits the field, then boost up with a Swords Dance.

SimbelmynŽ, Amnesia to boost yourself while clearing the link from the dance, then Leech Seed the Drapion, letting it root him to the ground."

Contemplating his current position, the younger trainer makes the decision to reserve Greeny for later, and with a burst of red light once more, then large flying sauropod vanishes from the air. Another capsule is thrown, and in place of the docile looking Tropius appears a much more ferocious creature in the underbrush, being Sectumsempra the Drapion (who I will refer to as SS for thematic and convenience's sake). This giant scorpion of sorts looks around in a jerky manner, claws clicking in anticipation of the slaughter it believes it is about to wreak upon these poor little native inhabitants of this grassy wonderland. The guardian of the grove snorts in derision at the sight of the Drapion. No mere Poison type named after a fictional spell will even put a dent in his stride in this battle. As SS becomes aware of his surroundings, the freshly planted stones make their first of soon to be many reappearances, circling the Drapion briefly before piercing into his sides and then retreating back into the undergrowth. Left a bit annoyed by this, SS begins to prepare his first attack, and as Starman begins his approach, suddenly Triffid leaps forward into the center of them all and begins to dance more vigorously than usual. This entrancing tarantella of days far gone entraps the attention of all beholding it, friend and foe included. The display is short but its effect is far reaching, as the moment the dance ends, the three other Pokemon's vision begins to swim before them, and they all teeter in place slightly as the powerful force of confusion overtakes their mental faculties. The potency of the aftereffect is so strong that neither the Aegislash or the Drapion can do anything about it, while SimbelmynŽ struggles for a moment but then forces herself into a state of temporary amnesia as her yellow eyes flash blue momentarily. This short term memory loss clears her mind of the entrancing frolic as well as increases her fortitude against attacks of the special variety and any other mind altering tactics. Triffid, seeing that her work is done, begins to dance in a slightly different manner, with much more pirouetting and spins in general thrown in. She moves deftly in a dance designed for those who wield swords, and although tempted to go grab the addled sword before her, she restrains herself and completes her second dance, leaving the Ludicolo feeling empowered physically and ready for any challenge that her opponents might pose. SimbelmynŽ, meanwhile, has been preparing to use the gift given to her by one of her allies, creating a single seed out of the flora around her, and with a glance sends it shooting at the Drapion. SS notices nothing as the seed lands on his back, and the kernel instantly matures as roots leap out of its casing and well, root themselves firmly into the ground. The hub of the seed attaches itself to its target, and with a brief glow, it begins to leech energy from the scorpion and feed it back to its host, the Cradily. The other tendrils that SimbelmynŽ has embedded beneath her also pour back vitality into her body, in addition to the natural forces of the arena assisting not only her, but her partner as well. They bask in the glory of the Wildwood and chuckle together slightly at the spectacle of their muddled adversaries, left cruelly by misfortune to just look blankly into the distance, seeing things that no one else can.

Both SS and Starman are good for two whenever they're able to attack, SS having taken only Stealth Rock damage. SimbelmynŽ and Triffid are still good for two as well, though Triffid can't keep up her pace for too much longer. Triffid is now back into her first third of health, while SimbelmynŽ is sitting very prettily on both health and energy, although her opponents still hold a decent health lead. Psychic for SimbelmynŽ has over half left. Sneaze to order.

"Starman, Zen Headbutt the Cradily immediately, keep close to that thing. Then unleash a Metal Sound to interrupt its Stockpile and snap Drapion out.

Sectumsempra, just go for a Bulldoze to shatter that Stealth Rock. After Metal Sound, go for a Toxic Spikes."

With both of their adversaries somewhat out of commission, the two Grasses look to each other and nod, taking advantage of the disorientation of the opposition to do some set up. Triffid begins to pump a light blue mist into the area, which rolls through the glen quickly to obscure vision, but before this completes, SimbelmynŽ creates another seed which she launches at the Aegislash this time, who has been becoming steadily more aware as it has focused its energies on going into a zen state to clear its mind. The tendrils sprout off of the sword and shield combo and begin to leech his reserves as well. Now fully aware, he approaches where he last saw the Cradily, and due to it not exactly being able to escape its locale thanks to being ingrained into position, Starman delivers a vicious...well, I suppose you could refer to it as a headbutt but it's more of a hilt bash, whatever, and SimbelmynŽ gives a grunt of pain. The fog has managed to hide the occupants of the Wildwood for now, and so, unable to find his partner in the mist, Starman lets off a metal sound as a sort of echolocation, as well as an attempt to return his companion to his senses. This does not have the desired effect, however, as while his foes are slightly peeved by the noise, the Drapion remains still as muddled as ever, with the sound having done nothing but worsen her mental state if anything. SimbelmynŽ shrugs off the ringing in her ears(?) soon enough and begins to stockpile a small portion of the vast amounts of energy she's being fueled with, bulking her up slightly as well as preparing for a future set of attacks need be. SS continues to stare blankly into the cloudy wisps, left unable due to a mixture of her state and bad luck to do anything to aid in her own recovery. With the round near its close, SimbelmynŽ and Triffid are left content as their respective vitality returns thanks to their massive supply trains in the Wildwood, Leech Seeds, Ingrains, etc.

SimbelmynŽ is left once again better off than she was last round in both health and energy, and remains good for two. Triffid is refreshed and is also better off, with Ice having plenty left. SS did nothing so she's fine, and Starman likewise remains good for two, with Psychic having plenty as well. MtG to order.

How is Sectumsempra's confusion? Did Metal Sound have a lasting effect in making it even worse?

Confusion is about as bad as it would've been normally, Metal Sound didn't really have any extra effect on it.

Another burst of red light shines through the Wildwood's twisted, dim boughs as the still befuddled Drapion disappears back to the safety of her capsule, reserved for another time when her mind has refreshed itself. Looking through the many members of his team, the young trainer chooses yet another unselected choice, taking this fresh spheroid with renewed vigor as he unleashes the behemoth who dwells within. With a mechanical, grinding roar, Locria the Metagross crashes into the dense foliage, his four legs moving jerkily into position as his crossed face gleams in the little light coming through. Upon his touching the forest floor, the ever present and hidden rocks emerge briefly, striking against the hard steel before vanishing back from whence they came, leaving the Metagross annoyed but not particularly worse for wear. Emboldened by the appearance of his fellow Steel-type but not having waited for his arrival, Starman begins to glow brightly as he prepares another flashing cannonball to launch at the great warship that is SimbelmynŽ. The Cradily grins in her own special way as her own plans come to fruition, however, and large rocks jut out from the ground and entomb the Aegislash before it unleashes its attack, leading to the steel energy to collide with the stony prison and send it tumbling to the ground. Meanwhile, Locria and Triffid have been having their own interactions, as Locria attempts to rear up on his hind legs in order to come smashing back down, but the Ludicolo takes control of the numerous blades of grass around his feet, and they swiftly climb up his steel appendages and knot themselves tightly around them, causing the mechanical monstrosity to be thrown off balance as he attempts to tug upwards, causing him to tip to one side and smash against the ground with a clang. Both non-Grasses, finding themselves free of their various imprisonments, charge the ever-regenerating tank of this battle, with the Aegislash spinning wildly, detaching the vines holding him from the earth and removing some from his body as he travels like a gyro, a ball of Steel forming around him faintly. Locria on the other hand has surrounded himself with an aura of dark energy and follows in quick pursuit of his partner, as both slam into the Cradily one after the other, leaving the ancient lily to groan in pain. She recovers and follows up with a well worn tactic, launching yet another seed to leech energy from the newcomer, and the vines spread and lock the Metagross to the ground for the moment. Seeing his weakness, Triffid approaches with her hand glowing with fire as she delivers a stinging punch to Locria's side, leaving the Metagross to cry out as an unlucky burn forms on his steel carapace and Triffid takes her leave into the thicker part of the forest to the sidelines. Energy and health continue to flow into the Grass denizens of this forest, leaving their opposition to question the futility of this fight.

SimbelmynŽ remains well within her first third of health, with Triffid in similar condition. SimbelmynŽ is beginning to tire after the constant attacks she has been doing, but is still near full on the energy front. Triffid remains good for two, with Fire having enough for another punch. Starman went untouched, and while good for two wouldn't mind a change in pace, while Locria is already traveling through his health at a decent pace, but is good for two. Dark for him has plenty. Sneaze to order.

"Locria, interrupt what you can with Bulldoze, and break those Stealth Rocks. Then try a Quick Charge Substitute.

Starman, wail on the Cradily with Fury Cutter while it is rooted and tired. Try to attack its base, see if you can get some lucky shots on the Ingrain roots at the same time. Then aim a Flash Cannon at the base of Cradily's body."

After two months of ingraining, SimbelmynŽ has so much health that super effective attacks using the entirety of MtG's teams' energy wouldn't kill it, leaving it to become invincible and rule the world. The end.

But no, seriously.

Anyhow, Triffid emerges from her covered position in the denser part of the Wildwood, water churning in a growing orb in front of her, bouncing it up and down in the palm of her hand. Seeing the swelling sphere held by its opposition, Locria attempts to stomp its feet to bulldoze the Ludicolo over with an earthquake of sorts, but the vines restrict the Metagross' body for enough time that Triffid sends the spheroid through the air, traveling in pulses towards the Aegislash, who was at the time approaching SimbelmynŽ with a look of malice in his steely face. The bubble of liquid taps against the sharp edge of Starman, popping and sending its contents washing over the sword-shield combination. The imbued energy of the fluid addles the brainwaves of the ghost, though not as severely due to the teeter dance's effects earlier, but the potency is still enough to stop him in his tracks for the moment. Meanwhile, the bulldozing undulations ripple their way through the earth to Triffid, who takes the resisted blow without much alarm, but the other purpose of the quaking has been achieved as the stealthily laid rocks just beneath the surface shatter due to the force. The weaponry remains floating dazed in front of the Cradily, who gives a wicked grin as she shoots off another seed, which grows long roots and anchors the Aegislash to the ground once more and begins leeching his energy with renewed vigor. While this is going on, Triffid follows up with her plans and sends her own leech seed latching onto the Metagross before it can react, entrapping it further as both her seed and the Cradily's sap from its reserves. Locria grumbles as he quickly programs the code for a body double of himself, and soon enough the substitute of the Metagross is the only thing in view, unbeknownst to the combatants. Unaware of the changes, SimbelmynŽ crafts some strange bug-like creatures that are totally energy constructs because that move description still needs updating on specifics, which proceed to crawl all over the not-Locria and nibble away at the hard steel of his body, weakening the copy but leaving it intact as the real Metagross watches in amusement. During all this, Starman has been focusing as hard as possible to break through his ailment, and with limited success he manages as he crafts a flashing cannonball in the air and sends it at Cradily, glancing off of her side as opposed to her base like he'd hoped but a hit nonetheless. Triffid and SimbelmynŽ fully enjoy the benefits of the arena once again as well as their multiple sources of energy being sapped from the earth and their foes, leaving them still quite well off.

Both SimbelmynŽ and Triffid remain within their first third, with Triffid having a slight lead, while Locria is nearing the border of his second third due to self inflicted and burn damage. Starman still sits pretty high and dry. Starman, Locria, and Triffid all remain good for two, while SimbelmynŽ would definitely like a break at this point. Bug for SimbelmynŽ sits at half, and Ground for Locria still quite high. MtG to order.

The two Steels, helplessly entangled in quite a few vines, seek to free themselves, or at least relieve the hold they have on their bodies. Locria attempts to levitate upwards, but the two leeching seeds and the knots further around his legs restrict his ability to build momentum, leaving him able to loosen the grass tied to where his ankles would be but not much else. Left frustrated as he remains relatively grounded, the cross on the Metagross' face flashes in the limited sunlight as he gives a roar, gathering steel energy in front of himself to form his own cannonball, and with a grunt he sends the projectile hurtling into the side of the bottom-feeder, who gives a groan as she bends against the strain. Starman seeks to do something similar but is delayed by his mental state, while SimbelmynŽ gives a low chuckle as sharp rocks emerge from the ground below the Aegislash and trap him in his own personal tomb. Late to the party but not blocked out entirely by the confusion gripping his mind, Starman still gets his own cannonball firing, but not into the Cradily. The steel spheroid smashes instead into the side of his prison, blasting a hole in it and causing the structural integrity of the tomb to fail as the rocks topple down on their former prisoner. Meanwhile, Triffid has pulled water both from within her own body and from the nearby sacred pool and begins to surf atop a large wave of her own creation across the short distance to her rooted foe, Locria. Splashing over the top of the substitute and destroying it, quite a bit of the wave strikes the newly revealed actual Metagross not too far removed from the double's location thanks to being attached to his particular location. Locria's legs bend as his shifting causes his metal body to creak, water breaking across his form. The two ironclad compadres then both begin to attempt the same movement, looking to spin their vines off as they strike down the eternal plant before them, but in both cases they find their actions foiled. Starman remains dazed from his mentally addled state, leaving him unable to proceed with his given orders, and Locria finds himself slapped across the face for his attempts and left astonished by the actions of the Ludicolo dancing before him, wincing as his burn takes its toll as well. Both ingrain roots and leeching roots alike then go ahead with their shtick, something we're all familiar with as all the natural benefits of those and the arena continue to fuel Triffid and SimbelmynŽ's crusade.

SimbelmynŽ is finally out of her first third of health, but is refreshed and good for two. Triffid went untouched and wouldn't necessarily mind a break in the near future. Starman and Locria both appreciated their forced one mover rounds, and Starman took slight damage while Locria also dropped out of his first third of health. Starman has dropped beneath the midpoint of energy. Sneaze to order.
