Probopass UPN PASBL Gym Leader Match: Firewater vs. Kingothestone

Quote:
Firewater (GL) vs. Kingothestone (c)
Singles
4 vs. 4
Equilevel 5
72 Hour DQ
Switch = Gym
Slapstick
The Furnace
Spoiler: show
Panting, you manage to finish climbing up the mountain. Though there were other means of transportation, you had decided to take a challenge, to climb to the mountain where the gym exists. As you reach a winding path, with a sign that has an arrow, and a single word on it…
“Gym”
Soon afterwards, you finish walking down the path, and you walk into a small quarry. Allowing you to see the assembly lines, caked with dust, the inert furnaces, some with a bit of ash or coal still sitting in them, or even the few pieces of rock and material litters the floor. However, after a few more minutes, a doorway appears, and the entire area inside looks much, much newer than the rest of the building, in fact you hear something crash down as you stare at the arena itself, which is under an awning of strong rock, as a shelter to protect the workers from the elements, and you take a good look inside.

The arena is relatively large, as there are many jagged rocks strewn throughout the rock, though apparently only the sides look well mined, the ground appearing completely impenetrable, except for the strongest of Pokémon to be able to meld, or dig into it. The ceiling isn’t, and Pokémon can summon rock based attacks from the ceiling, though there will always be a small risk of a small rock slide occurring each time this occurs. Also, with the building being within high mountain peaks, it’s cold. Very cold. Cold to the point where Fire attacks take slightly more energy to use, as many Pokémon will often struggle to continue to control their body heat, and will be loath to lose it in the high altitudes and frosty atmosphere. Even then, there are complementary blankets, jackets, what have you for the faint of heart trainers to wear, and to administer to their fallen comrades. The lighting is quite strong and quite bright, preventing most forms of trickery or illusions to fail, as well as having the correct technological fixes to ensure that even ghost Pokémon will remain solid at all times. The rock, though well mined is still quite strong, meaning that attacks built from it, such as Stealth Rocks are incredibly durable, and will take more energy or strength to shatter or disrupt.
Kots returns in style by challenging the reinvigorated Steel Gym Leader. Should be a good show down, let's get this thing started.

Allons-y!

Welcome back, and I hope you enjoy your time here. Anyway....

bringing these.

The Smelting Badge:
Attachable Badge
The Smelting Badge shows a Pokémon’s ability to be involved with their environment, and the strength of the minerals and other materials that have created the world we live in today. By defeating the gym leader and his Pokémon that are so engaged with the world around them, a victorious opponent gains a powerful tool. Any Pokémon that welds this badge has the ability to passively regenerate energy over time. This badge only restores a light amount of energy per turn, and caps at 1.5 Hyper Beams of energy regenerated.

Primary Badge
Global Badge
The Primary Badge is given to those trainers tenacious enough to best Kairne in the Triad Gym. The gems embedded in the badge symbolise the triple threat of Grass, Fire, and Water; and show the owner's mastery over the basic types.
Badge Effect: Type Mastery
When used, each time the owner of this badge sends out a Pokémon for the first time in the battle, he/she can choose 1 damage-dealing move of that Pokémon's type(s). That Pokémon may use that move until the end of the battle, although usage of it will take a light amount more energy than normal. If a Pokémon is returned to their PokéBall and sent out later in the same battle, a new move is not chosen, instead they retain the previously chosen move. Additional move restrictions apply (NO Legend moves, or exclusive moves, such as Sketch, Conversion/Conversion2, Transform, etc. Physically impossible moves also may not be chosen, such as a Voltorb with ThunderPunch, but if the Pokémon can reasonably use it with a small bit of improvisation, such as Magnemite with Steel Wing, that is permissible).

Harvester's Token:
The Harvester's Token denotes one's prowess in caring for and farming the bounties of nature. It can be attached to Grass-type Pokémon only and greatly enhances their natural abilities. Rain will heal them by a mild amount each round, sunlight will regenerate them mild energy each round, healing moves cost half their usual energy cost and draining moves are much more efficient. This token may be purchased during the week long Thanksgiving event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.

And now the squad.

Special Operations Permanent Headcrushing Implemented Experiment (S.O.P.H.I.E.):
Level 6 Genderless Metagross

Signature Move: Barbed Wire (Steel/Typeless)
Sophie uses some of her Steel energy reserves to form an incredibly strong fence of barbed wire around the field. This crashes into the opponent for decent damage, but it is all depending on the softness of the opponent. When the wire fence crashes into the foe, similarly to regular barbed wire, the barbs with cut and scratch into the opponent, dealing more damage depending on the toughness of the skin. The harder the skin, the less effective the wires are to their target, depending on Ref's discretion. The Steel energy allows it to strike ghosts or other transparent beings as well. Energy use is equivalent to Stealth Rock.
Explanation: it's a Stealth Rock that's based on the "Softness" of the opponent, so Rocks/Steels/inorganics/things like Muk and Ditto would resist, Pokes with fur, direct skin, or generally no shielding would take increased damage.
Hidden Power: Ice
Attached Badge: Smelting Badge

Briars: Level 5 Male Ferrothorn

Bio: Briars lived in some awesome caves, and he learned how to use the rocks to protect himself and his friends. However, he did have an aptitude to store the rocks he broke, as if he was trying to clean up the caves that he lived in. While doing this, while bored he used to practice throwing them about, in order to entertain himself As a result, he's learned some new attacks.
Signature Ability: Rock Collector
Ferrothorn is strong enough to break rocks with its... arm things, either way, he broke enough of them to figure out how to use them for battle, he can now use Stone Edge, and has the type energy to use it three times a battle.
Hidden Power: Flying
Attatched Badge: Harvester's Token

Thomas Edison Level 5 Male Empoleon

Signature Ability: Saltwater (Water)
As a result of his trials and tribulations, Thomas Edison managed to survive the salt intake and the damage it did to his body. As a result, his water attacks, due to the salt intake deal 2x damage to other water types. On the downside, Rock types take resisted damage from his water attacks. He also forgets how to use Grass attacks, Hydro Cannon, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Hyper Beam, Yawn, and all of his attacks that restore Health or Energy to him

Hidden Power: Flying

Mantle: Level 5 Male Steelix
Hidden Power: Grass
Bio: Mantle and his family lived deep underground, and I do mean deeply underground. In fact, when I found him he was not used to the reduced pressure and was in fact ill with pain and confusion when he reached the surface. However, it wasn't until I started to use him that I realized how much his family's life within the deepest, darkest parts of the earth's crust had truly shaped him, or at least how he lived his life.

Signature Ability: Pressurized (Rock/Ground)
Mantle lived deep underground, so deep that the pressure toughened his body, made him stronger, and his ability to use his Rock and Ground attacks to their highest potential, due to how his environment forced him to be able to shift the earth in high amounts of pressure. As a result, Mantle's ability to shift the earth is quite legendary, as he can summon rocks from all terrain within reason. Due to his life underground, it's appeared that he retains virtually the same amount of Rock energy reserves that he owned as an Onix. The problem is that he can't use Fire or Electric, or Poison moves, having never been exposed to them as a young Onix.

Mawile: Level 5 Female
Hold Item: Mawilite
Hidden Power: Flying
Bio: Mawile was also a Pokémon of mine who wished to work in human professions that were different than the usual bit, namely she was an assistant to a physical therapist. She learned a lot from her training, not only in how to heal others, but how muscles, joints and other vital parts of the human and Pokémon body were able to work and function. When she decided to join me, it was then that she learned how to use her knowledge of the body to damage her foes in battle, as well as how she would contain unruly patients. However, ever since finding her fairy typing, she's decided to use the light show to subdue foes, instead of the drugs.

Signature Attack: Sparkles (Fairy)
Mawile can now use Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast, as she uses the light and energy a way to subdue her patients when she is not battling, in a way that doesn't cause debilitating addictions to painkillers.

Lucario: Level 5 Male

Hidden Power: Dragon
Bio: Lucario was, from a young age very into fighting to train to be the very best fighter that he could be, rather using his complex speed and flexibility to confuse foes. However, this changed when he evolved. While he was stronger physically, he started to loathe his harder, tougher body, not finding it flexible enough to meet his needs on the battlefield. As a result, he started taking more and more classes to reduce these needs, all of his efforts motivated by his constant dealings with Earthquakes and other ground moves. Eventually he got it, he managed to overcome his challenges, and while he reached the motivation, or the body speed and flexibility that he always wanted, we all found that he'd indirectly given up something else, some of the incredible mental power that he had also owned throughout his life. He still lives, happily, but a regret remains in his mind, causing his mental strength to be somewhat weaker than most Lucario's...

Signature Ability: Trading the Mind for the Matter (Steel)
Lucario now takes neutral damage to Ground energy. However, his Aura abilities are not quite as powerful as other Lucario's, and as a result, he has a harder time locating other Pokémon with his aura abilities. And his ability to dodge attacks with his eyes closed is also reduced by 50% of its normal efficiency. He also takes 2x weakness to Psychic attacks as a result.

Ball's in your court sir.

Walking slowly into the arena, the challenger surveys his surroundings. He deftly stands the baseball bat he uses as a cane on its end as he lifts his baseball cap, brushing the hair out of his eyes before securing the cap on his head once more. He grabs the bat and swings it up to rest on his shoulder.

"It's good to be back."

---------------------------

Level 4:

Lelantos

[Male Blaziken]
[Biography]
TBA

Blaziken (Fire/Fighting): Blaziken are exceptional jumpers and can leap up to three times their head height. Kicking attacks will do slightly more damage then normal. Blaziken have flames on their wrists and can control whether their flames are ignited at any one time. However, they cannot use any fire attacks if their fire is not ignited. Igniting does not count as a move, and happens automatically when the Pokémon is ordered a fire attack. However, de-igniting counts as a move and they will automatically de-ignite if they fall asleep. Their flames can be used to burn foes if there is prolonged contact and can provide illumination. They are also familiar with the Flying type. As starter Pokémon, their Fire-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/4 health.
[Fire]: Fire-types fight most enthusiastically in hot and dry conditions. They are extremely difficult to burn and most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time (indefinitely in the case of the Magmar and Slugma lines). If a Fire Pokémon has an exposed flame somewhere on its body, it will take a small amount of extra damage if liquid water hits the flame. Otherwise, Fire-type Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short (except in the case of the Magmar and Slugma lines, who will take damage the longer they are in the water).
[Fighting]: Fighting-type Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, which gives them greater endurance and readiness than other Pokémon and allows them to push themselves harder for longer. They are more accurate with their physical blows and are more adept at blocking and countering the physical strikes of attackers. They fight more enthusiastically in urban environments but are not adversely affected by more natural surroundings.

[Hidden Power]
Grass

---------------------------

Proteus

[Male Samurott]
[Biography]
Proteus, as a young Oshawott, never really had a problem with Grass types, having a myriad of ice types to combat them with. His true troubles came when he was ambushed by a hoard of Chinchou who were out for blood (Glaucus may or may not have been a part of this group.) They crushed him with electricity, and he had no ready response. As such, he began to practice with his scalchops, honing his ground energies in the hopes of creating a proper retaliation.

Samurott (Water): Samurott are extremely adept with the many sharp shell blades they wield on their body, able to use their long horn, tail and two sword shaped shell plates on their forefeet to attack. Due to their more developed armor and weapons, they takes slightly less damage from attacks that strike their shells and will deal 1.2x damage with slashing and piercing attacks. Despite typically standing on all fours, they can easily fight on two legs, especially when wielding their swords. As starter Pokémon, their Water-type attacks are slightly more powerful when they drop below 1/4 health.
[Water]: Water-type Pokémon are generally able to hold their breath and/or breathe underwater. The time varies, from several rounds in the case of birds, mammals and reptiles to indefinitely for fish and squid like Pokémon. They are generally good swimmers and are better at manipulating Water for moves like Surf and Whirlpool than other Pokémon. They have slightly more Ice-typed energy than other Pokémon if they naturally learn attacks of that type.

[Hidden Power]
Electric

[Signature Attack: Land Blade (Ground)]
Charging a large amount of ground energy into its horn, Proteus spears his foe, dealing high damage. Due to the head-on assault nature of this attack, Land Blade will deal full damage regardless of the foe's boosts in Defense. It costs him high energy to use. Thanks to his hours spent practicing this attack, Proteus never bothered learning Hydro Pump, False Swipe, Toxic, Hail or Icy Wind

---------------------------

Atlas

[Male Machamp]
[Biography]
A very serious individual, it is almost as if Atlas carries the weight of the world upon his shoulders.

Machamp (Fighting): One of the strongest Pokémon alive, Machamp can restrain most opponents with two hands and use the other two for something else. Their punching and chopping attacks will deal 1.2x more damage, though Machamp are not adept at using its limbs with great dexterity and may find it difficult to strike smaller opponents, as well as having reduced dexterity limiting their accuracy when using physical attacks at speed. Machamp can lift twice as much for a particular attack than what is normally stated. They wear a power belt, which restricts how much energy they expend. A trainer can order Machamp to adjust the setting to 'high', 'medium' and 'low', adjustment counting as a move. Medium is the default setting and has no effect. High causes them to move 1.2x faster for 1.2x energy and allows them to lift thrice as much for a particular attack than what is normally stated, as opposed to twice as much. Low causes them to move 0.8x faster for 0.8x energy and negates their usual strength bonus. They can see in the dark.

Electric

---------------------------

Zeus

[Male Electabuzz]
I met Zeus up in the mountains, training with a group of Beartic. For some reason, they had accepted him as one of their own. He is incredibly comfortable in colder arenas. While in the mountains, I met a hermit who told me Zeus' story.

Another trainer had been searching the mountains looking for Pokemon when an egg he was carrying began to hatch. Unable to care for the freshly hatched Elekid, and in a terrible rush, the trainer had left the baby behind the hermit's hut. Alone and forgotten, the Elekid began to climb the mountain, looking for some sort of safety from the elements. He managed to find a cave after hours of searching, and made his way inside. His rest, however, was to be short-lived. It seemed that the cave was home to a particularly ornery Haxorus that apparently dwelled deep within the mountain. The beast quickly chased the baby Elekid out into the harsh elements once more, where he tumbled down the mountainside, coming to a stop just before a second cave. Bruised and battered, the baby Elekid crawled inside and and fell to the ground, unconscious.

When he awoke, the Elekid found himself surrounded by a group of Beartic. He jumped to his feet, ready to fight, but the Beartic looked concerned rather than angry. He told them his story of the Haxorus, and they took pity on him. They decided that, since he had nobody else, they would train him. And train him they did. For 6 months they worked together, teaching the young electric type some ice type moves while shying away from moves that could prove dangerous should the baby ever turn on the larger group. After 6 months, the Elekid had learned all he could from the Beartic, but he was still not content. He told the Beartic that, in order to prove himself capable, he had to best the Haxorus. Despite their warnings, the Elekid set out once more up the mountain, returning to that fateful cave.

Before he even took a step inside, the Elekid heard a deafening howl from within the cavern. He took a moment to work up his nerve, and then scurried into the cave. Once there, he once again met his opponent. A fierce battle ensued, with Elekid fighting valiantly, combining his natural moves with those that he had been taught by the Beartic. After a long, long confrontation, the Haxorus finally went down, and the Elekid let out an echoing victory screech before hurrying down the mountainside to tell his companions his story.

Electabuzz (Electric): Electabuzz are able to recharge themselves more efficiently than other Electric types and, whenever they use only one attack in a round, they will automatically recover moderate energy at the end of the round. They are resistant to moves which induce sleep or drowsiness and will recover more quickly from these conditions.
[Electric]: Electric-types, in general, prefer areas where their electric attacks are most accurate. Thus, while hot temperatures don’t bother them, the fact that heat refracts electricity doesn't appeal to them. They are resistant to paralysis inflicted by Electric-type moves, though they may be paralysed as normal by other methods. Electric types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water.

[Hidden Power]
Water

[Special Training: Kheimon's Blessing]
Zeus has gained an Ice Familiarity and can now use Ice Beam, Ice Shard and Powder Snow. Due to his training, he never learned any fire type moves. He also never learned Focus Punch, Cross Chop, Dynamicpunch, Rolling Kick, Brick Break or Rock Smash due to the Beartic he trained with being afraid of those moves in particular.

---------------------------

Phorcys

[Male Poliwrath]
[Biography]
TBA

Poliwrath (Water/Fighting): Poliwrath are the best and fastest swimmers of all the Poliwag family, but are just as adept on land as they are in the water. They secrete a sort of slime when out of the water, which makes them more slippery and harder to grab.

Fighting

---------------------------

Bellerophon

[Male Medicham]
[Biography]
TBA

Medicham (Fighting/Psychic): Medicham meditates constantly and therefore have a very sharp mind. This makes them resistant to mind-altering statuses. Their Meditate and Calm Mind are slightly more effective and their default stance causes them to hover a foot above the ground when using these moves. Medicham can see in the dark.
[Psychic]: Psychic-type Pokémon are much more proficient with telekinesis than other Pokémon. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and manipulate targets with ease. Psychic type Pokémon are resistant to flinching and have higher levels of focus and concentration than other Pokémon. They have limited ability to read minds and are thus more adept at dodging attacks than might be expected and able to mitigate the effects of accuracy reducing attacks. This telepathy does not work on Dark typed Pokémon.

King's Shield doesn't actually deal damage, it induces a recoil. I wouldn't really say it could be selected by the Primary Badge, it's primary function is to prevent damage.

It's also questionable as to whether an Empoleon could use it.

The expanse of the hewn cavern within the quarry expands before the two trainers, one confident and grinning while the other slowly makes his way over to his podium. The awkward simplicity of the cavern holds a strange beauty, the shining lights from above illuminating every nook and cranny the area has to hide. Without warning, the challenger finally sighs, producing his first Poke Ball and sending it sailing high into the air. Reaching a peak, the capsule splits along the seam, spewing forth an onrushing flood of crimson energy. Standing to attention, Proteus roars his arrival, and he soon meets his rival. Cawing loudly as he stretches his body, Thomas Edison stands in all his prideful arrogance, the Empoleon staring deep into the eyes of his foe.

Wasting no time, Thomas Edison plants his form firmly, the Empoleon thrusting his wings out to either side of his body, the stalwart bulk of the bird striking a formidable figure. Opening his beak wide, an ominous gushing quickly wells to the forefront of his throat, before a torrent of water gushes from the opening. Grunting with amusement, Proteus is abruptly set about by incredible pain, the Samurott left thrashing in agony as he struggles to contemplate why the incumbent attack hurts so much, given he should resist it. Hissing with irritation, Proteus charges forwards, the horn adorning his head shining with a dull brown aura. Raising it into the air, he brings it crashing down along the length of his foes body, and Thomas Edison staggers backwards, surprised by the sudden, effective counter. He recovers quickly though, managing to open his beak once more and croak out a reverberating tone, the befuddling sound causing Proteus to be overcome, all thoughts of his next attack rid of his mind.

Proteus is confused but holds a lead. His Ground took a huge hit, enough for a weakened Land Blade, but both are pretty peppy.

With his mind addled, his trainer calls Proteus back for a rest, instantly replacing him with the eager form of Zeus. Stamping his feet into the ground, the Electabuzz unleashes a shrill cry to announce his presence, but his foe simply turns his head away with a huff. Slamming his own hardened talons into the ground, Thomas Edison grunts with exertion as he forces jagged rocks to abruptly launch downwards from the ceiling above, the projectiles striking the body of Zeus and leaving him to stagger with a surprised cry, the Electabuzz evidently not enjoying the abrupt dose of pain. Hissing loudly, he charges forwards, spinning his right arm wildly to generate a crackling current. Condensing the energy into his fist, he thrusts forwards with reckless abandon, grinning widely as he makes contact with the hardened plumage of his opponent, eliciting a sharp pang of pain from Thomas Edison's throat.

Reeling from the blow, Thomas Edison is left to stare viciously at Zeus, the Electabuzz frowning as he bears the brunt of the withering gaze, Shrugging, the Electabuzz spreads his hands out before him, flattening his palms and allowing a fine pink energy to run down the length of his arms. The limbs glow with the familiar hue, tendrils lashing out from Zeus' palms to meld together and form a stalwart screen. The shield stands between Zeus and his foe, but Thomas Edison pays it little heed. A warbling cry of amusement rings from the beak of the large penguin, and he rushes forwards, drawing his right arm backwards. Squinting somewhat, as if to pick his stop with precision, Thomas Edison once again unleashes a battle cry, pivoting and channeling his momentum behind his thrust. With an almighty shattering sound, the Empoleon cleaves through the screen protecting Zeus with almost no resistance, the blow continuing onwards and slamming into the chest of the Electabuzz, who is knocked back a few feet from the impact.

Zeus retains a sizable, with Edison having been knocked near the midpoint. Edison remains just about good for two, while Zeus is pretty peppy but used a good portion of his Psychic energy.

Grimacing, knowing a tough task is ahead, Thomas Edison begins his preparations, the body temperature of the Empoleon spiking sharply. As steam pours from the edges of his yellowed beak, Zus grunts, starting to move himself. Shifting slowly to the left, he crackles with an intense yellow energy, his antenna vibrating wildly as the power builds. Hissing, Thomas spews forth a sharp blast of scalding water, aiming directly for the face of Zeus, but the Electabuzz manages to shift his head out of the firing range by jilting backwards, the splash crashing into his chest but leaving no burns. Spitting fury, Zeus unleashes his pent up energy, the blasting bolt slamming into the chest of Thomas and leaving him staggering backwards.

Clearly having not appreciated the previous exchange, Thomas grumbles, crouching low and readying himself once more. With a gusting blast of air, fueled by his flapping wings, the Empoleon sends a chilling wave of cyan wind towards Zeus, the Electabuzz shuddering but standing tall. Despite his muscles beginning to tense up, he continues onwards, gathering a second roaring cloak of yellow tinged energy, the aura thrashing wildly before discharging in a jagged line, zapping the entire figure of Thomas once more. Squawking his irritation, Thomas is left to the mercy of his foe, and Zeus refuses to grant it. Spinning his arms manically, he condenses an even more virulent aura, hurling the energy in a wide arc upwards into the air. With a roaring boom, Thomas is consumed by a pillar of yellow, before collapsing forwards.

Thomas Edison is unable to battle! Firewater, your next Pokemon please.

Zeus is exhausted right now, and won't be doing much next round.

Mantle, end this thing.

Direct Contact Earthquake it, preferably twice. If ihis trainer tries to return him, Block, replacing the second Earthquake.

Meteor Mash will be the move of choice again.

With Thomas Edison having succumbed, his much larger partner is called into battle, Mantle roaring his arrival and looming over his comparatively puny foe with a steeled toothy grin. Wasting no time, Mantle cloaks the back end of his body in a rumbling aura of dark brown energy, swinging it through the air at a speed belying of his hefty figure. With a sickening crunch, Zeus is sent hurtling to the side, grunting as he crashes along the ground. Staggering back to his feet, the exhausted Electabuzz barely has time to think as a second charged strike crashes into his form, his mind reeling from the suddenly intense pain shooting throughout his system. Hissing as he forces himself upright, Zeus gathers his inner energies, a swirling ring of tinged blue orbs flickering into existence around him. With a sharp cry, the orbs launch towards Mantle, clearly hurting the massive Steelix, but not dulling his murderous intent in the slightest.

Mantle has a crippling lead, with Zeus plummeting a good way below half. Zeus is fresher than he was, but far from perfect condition, while Mantle is pretty chipper.

Protect their first attack, then unload a hammer arm.

Grimacing as he continues to work the fatigue out of his body, Zeus shifts into a defensive stance, bringing both his arms up to guard his face. Grinning with a malicious intention, Mantle curls his body up, before launching through the air, collision course Electabuzz. Hissing with frustration, Zeus conjures a pulsating barrier of dark green energy, his body straining as he holds back the immense momentum of Mantle. With a sigh, the barrier falls, and Zeus grins widely, knowing his time has come. Lunging forwards with his right arm shining with orange energies, his face suddenly drains of amusement, replaced with abject horror. Mantle writhes wildly, pumping churning energies into the ground beneath him. The terrain is shattered, chunks of rock flying everywhere, and Zeus roars with agony as he falls, his body left battered, bruised, and barely standing.

Zeus is into critical while Mantle went untouched. Both had fairly relaxing rounds energy wise.

Go ahead and work a volt switch at the ground prompting the block. If you somehow get the switch off, Proteus can come out and loose a hydro pump after the bulldoze. If it fails, protect the bulldoze.

Watching his foe cautiously, Mantle wears a wide grin, not wanting to show his apprehension to his much smaller foe. With a grunt, Zeus gathers a roiling electrical aura around himself, quickly forming a small sphere between his hands, Thrusting it outwards, he watches as it strikes the ground, but as the beam extends to allow him to retreat, Mantle is suddenly upon him. Looming over him from behind, the Steelix grunts with amusement, before allowing his entire form to reverberate. The violent thrashings once again send vicious tremors through the ground, obliterating the surrounding surface even more, but as Mantle comes a halt, he realises Zeus remains standing, encapsulated within a shining green sphere.

Zeus just barely managed to hold on this round. He's good for two, as is Mantle.

Screech him out of an attack. If you have time while he recovers, give him a hammer arm.
