UPN PASBL: Kush vs. Sneasel in Magical Corruption Test Showdown

Koi: Welcome one and all to the cleaned-up Beach Arena for a quick little test showdown of some new rules to see how these new policies stack up in a real-life non-theoretical battle! Using the magic of LO corruption, Jeri has created a magical slot to allow Mercutio and Sneezey12 to duke it out in a super special corruption slot and rake in the sweet, sweet SP in the process. Exciting!

Koi: So here's our stats!

4 vs. 4 Doubles
Slapstick
Equilevel 1
Switch = OK, new KO rules
Reed Classic

Koi: We're gonna be testing out two new rulesets simultaneously today. First of all, we'll be doing some new rules concerning KOs and sending out, with KOs ending rounds and with the order not changing in the event of the KO'd mon's trainer ordering first.

Koi: Secondly, we're going to be testing out the Reed type energy system, using Reed Classic. Here's a quick(ish) overview of what that means.

Quote:
Pokémon are able to freely use off-type moves without any explicit type energy restriction, though repeated use of moves or high power moves will strain them, significantly weakening moves that are spammed. If a Pokémon uses a Blizzard, they probably won't be able to use an Ice Beam for a few rounds, but they could likely use a few Icy Winds before they weaken. Additionally, defensive techniques that require energy won't generally strain the Pokémon as much, allowing for more defensive techniques to be used without weakening associated offensive techniques as much. Therefore, a Pokémon could safely use Teleport and follow with a Psychic without worrying about a reduction in power, though two Teleports and a Psychic or a Teleport and two Psychics might result in one of the Psychics being reduced in power. If a Pokémon doesn't use moves of the type they've strained for a few rounds, they'll be able to use attacks normally again. Moves like Blizzard will need about two-three rounds before an Ice Beam might be able to be used, while Ice Beam may need only about a round before a second move can be used. Pokémon who are familiar with a type will strain less easily or be able to use more moves before the strain occurs.
Koi: And to top it off, we'll also be giving Connor's new standard Beach Arena a spin.

Quote:
Beach: The Beach arena consists of a sandy shore fronted by a clear, temperate sea. Pokemon will be able to see both into and out of the water with little trouble despite the waves lapping at the shore, and there are no currents which would make Pokemon particularly uncomfortable, although Pokemon who struggle to swim will still experience difficulty. Due to the loose nature of the sand, moves such as Earthquake and Bulldoze will suffer a deficit in power, but Earth Power will function as normal. Situated in the water is a buoy system designed to not allow Pokemon to back too far into the water, ensuring the battle remains situated around the Beach itself.
Koi: Kush is Challenger, which means his squad first.

Koi: Ikou!

No type chart match? Just a suggestion - not essential

That would sort of defeat the purpose of the Reed testing.

Ew, no typecharts is so bad in conjunction with anything other than standard rulesets.

Ok then, let's see if we can't rattle through this nice and quickly. Good luck, Sneezey, not that you really need it. Thanks for reffing, Jeri, let's see if we can't give this system a good trial. Sneezey, I suggest we agree not to constantly burn two movers lol.

And it wouldn't be corruption without the Mozz Badge!

Mozz Badge (Global Badge)
Badge Effect
: When used, all Pokémon on trainer's team will have one minor type have double the energy as it usually would have. A "minor type" is defined as one that is not the Pokémon's primary or secondary type, and the Pokémon has at least 1 but no more than 4 offensive, damage dealing moves of said type. This includes all possible moves that the Pokémon knows, so this includes event moves, added moves via signature trainings, et al. The trainer may select the type for each Pokémon when they are first sent out. If no type satisfies the badge requirements, the type with the least known moves MUST be chosen. This does not increase total energy.

Reaper's Token (10 SP): This attachable item can only be given to Ghost type pokémon. If the pokémon wearing this token has the ability to change in to the Invisible state, they are able to do so for three turns instead of the usual two and enjoy perfect invisibility where they might usually have left an icy glimmer or some other give away. If the selected pokémon does not already possess the ability to change in to the Invisible state, they gain the ability to do so for two turns, leaving a slight give away when they do so such as the glint of an eye or the glow of an ectoplasmic body. Ghosts wearing this token are also granted an increased ability to trick their opponents. This token is available only during the Halloween sale and may be purchased by trainers up to once.

Level 2

Laa-Laa, the female Snorlax; The first thing to know is that Laa-Laa is bright yellow where she should normally be dark in colour. Secondly, she has a quiff of hair on top of her head that twirls around like an aerial. Thirdly, being a Snorlax, she is naturally huge. These traits add up to make her truly unique within the ASB. On top of these quirks, her personality sets her up as a true great. She's massively playful and is a huge amount of fun to be around, always bouncing about and telling everyone that things are going to be great. She's a real optimist, with a smile a mile wide and an appetite to match that. Despite her uniqueness, her status as an extremely powerful pokémon within the metagame keeps her in the realms of "OU". She's now gained experience and has taken on the role of leader of my Normal typed team, ready at a moment's notice to step in and deal with any situation arising. Her ubiquitous presence on my Gym squads shows the extent of her power, her strength indispensable to me. She'll take on the strongest of opponents and the largest of meals, yet is always willing to let small pokémon have an even chance against her and give the most needy a piece of her pie, even if she has to go without herself.
Hidden Power: Flying.
Signature Move: "Time for tubby bye bye!" (Normal); Laa-Laa belly tackles the opponent heavily before using the rest of the attack's energy to return to her pokéball, with a new pokémon being sent out in her place. When the new pokémon is sent out, it gains the exact physical and psychological mindset she was experiencing in the same way as U-Turn. This attack uses significant energy and has a base power of moderate damage. Laa-Laa cannot use Thunder. This move can be used once per battle.

Level 1

Cindy, the female Banette; Cindy was once a mainstay of British toy shops, a doll for all the family and respectable enough to act as a palatable role model for the daughters of the growing middle class. However, an usurper, the hated American 'Barbie' doll, grew to rival Cindy's position as a favourite amongst children, her variety of professions and outfits giving her the edge. Cindy hated Barbie, who always seemed like a queen when Cindy was a mere princess. Things did not go well for Cindy and she became unpopular, outdated, out of touch. Turning to alcohol, the wretched doll eventually decided that she couldn't take the pain any longer. Many years later, a Banette by the name of Cindy found its way in to my care. Full of malice and bitter evil, Cindy was a perfect match for me, even if she didn't get along with many other members of my squad.
Hidden Power: Fighting.
Signature Move: "Ember of Agony" (Ghost); Cindy expends major energy and emits a burst of ghostly fire at the foe, the flames engulfing the target on contact and infusing them with ethereal magic. This initial stage has no direct effect upon the foe. The magic remains within the foe for three rounds, whereupon it erupts from inside their body and returns to Cindy. By this process, Cindy drains major health from the foe, healing herself by the same amount.
Attached Item: Reaper's Token.

Ruby, the genderless Starmie; Ruby was a pokémon I captured very early in my journey. With a glowing core and an affinity for special moves, it has always been a valued member of my team. It showed great aptitude at blasting targets to smithereens with ranged moves and, over time, learned to be formidable at close range as well. However, with an aggressive trainer like myself in command, it soon figured out that it needed a way to keep its energy levels up in battle. Often, it would end up running hot after only a few minutes in battle, the toll of constantly churning out high yield attacks too much for it. To this end, it developed a trait that would allow it to use the restoring powers of water to gain back some energy. While no substitute for conservative battling, it does a great job of showing off Ruby's aquatic attributes.
Hidden Power: Dark.
Signature Trait: "Hydro Power"; At the end of every round in which Ruby is touching a decent sized body of water and not at maximum energy, it will restore a light amount of energy. Up to 1/3 of its total energy may be restored in this way. Polluted water will cause slower regeneration, with only minor energy restored, while purified or highly oxygenated water can allow for faster regeneration with mild energy restored. Only decent sized bodies of water such as a river or lake can trigger this effect. Rainfall and small puddles are insufficient. Ruby cannot use Rest or Giga Impact.

Kumori, the shiny male Greninja; The consumate ninja, Kumori specialises in disrupting his foes. His arsenal of weapons extends beyond the usual cloak and shuriken and includes potent disruption attacks. Deep black in colour and preferring to fight in the darkness, Kumori is a terrible foe to face.
Hidden Power: Poison.
Signature Move: "Fire and Magic" (Fire); Kumori produces a handful of flame and tosses it at the foe, dealing solid damage for significant energy. Upon impact, the attack will detonate like a grenade and deal mild splash damage to nearby pokémon, accompanied by a bright flash of flame and crack of embers that will briefly disorient the foe like a flashbang grenade. Because the attack is lightweight and hand thrown, it can be fired indirectly like a mortar. Kumori has the Fire energy to use the attack twice per battle but can't use Hydro Cannon at all.

Greg, the male Electivire; Sometimes I wonder why Greg first appeared to us. I think he was attracted to the charge coming off of Phantasmic's training sessions. Whatever the reason, he came charging into our campsite and started laying the smack down on everything in sight. Luckily Marus was on hand to roast him with a Flamethrower, and we prepared to move on. Before we left, though, I took a look. On this closer inspection I decided to capture this unusual specimen. He's generally pretty sound, and very reliable in battle. Even before we began our specialised training, he was always a mainstay of my squads. With evolution, he's gained an appreciation for the colour red, and no longer becomes enraged when he sees it. He also knows the value of occasionally playing dirty, but he has shown an increased level of maturity upon reaching his final form. This maturity has allowed us to begin training him to be something more, something special (whilst also being incredibly clichéd. Greg worked with my Hariyama, Infernape and Poliwrath in order to focus his Fighting typed energies to their most potent form. Constant practicing has left him an expert in the art of kick boxing and, while this is not a real martial art, it does provide some useful skills when facing tough opponents. Superior conditioning with Louis has left him lean and fit, constant exercise with Chunky allowing him the strength and skill necessary to use Fighting type moves to their full effectiveness and focussed meditation with Mario has left him able to prepare his mind effectively enough to wield his skills in the heat of battle. This work is generally evidenced by the addition of a new move and a greater ability to relentlessly punch things in the face.
Hidden Power: Flying.
Signature Trait: "Destruction"; Greg is familiar with the Fighting type and can use Close Combat. He cannot use Fire typed attacks or the move Giga Impact.

Zeke, the genderless Porygon-Z; Zeke was created with stolen technology from the Devon Corporation. Its code is modified to encompass elements of higher evolutions, as well as artificial pokémon yet to be revealed to the world at large. Its programming includes battle strategies, historical records and other elements designed to make him a superior foe. A key feature of this is the ability to enact a tactical retreat when the situation requires different tactics in order for success, disorientating and disrupting the opponent in the process in order to swiftly exit. Unfortunately, it still requires orders to function and thus is not as implacable a foe as its designers might have liked. In addition to its dependence on human orders, it contains multiple flaws and errors which hamper certain elements of its battling ability and make it a risk to the health of those nearby. It is incomplete, preventing it from utilising the most powerful of attacks available. I acquired its programming in an auction and managed to coax it in to life. Grateful to me for freeing it from its cybernetic bondage, it joined my squad and has become a staple ever since.
Signature Move: "Electric Soldier Porygon" (Normal); Charging significant energy, Zeke releases a bright burst of light at its opponent. The target experiences a 10% drop in their special defence, which has standard boost stipulations. The remaining energy is used by Zeke to return to its pokeball, with a new pokémon being sent out into the field. When the new pokémon is sent out, it gains the exact physical and psychological mindset of Zeke in the same manner as Volt Switch. This attack deals no damage and can be used once per battle.

Cherrim

Solstice Badge
Attachable Badge
Representing both the change in the seasons and the change in one's self, the tree with four colors of leaves that shapes the Solstice Badge is given to those who can defeat Sneasel12 in the Wildwood Gym.
Badge Effect: Seasoned Warrior
Using the power of the seasons, the wearer of the Solstice Badge may change the type of the move they are currently performing to represent one of the four seasons. The types available to be changed to are Fire for Summer, Water for Autumn, Ice for Winter, and Ground for Spring. Moves must use Significant energy or less in order to be able to have their type changed by this effect. These effects can be used a total of four times and each season can be represented a maximum of twice.
Attached to Athelas the Cherrim

Silver Wing Token
Bestowed upon the winner of the Winter Whirl Cup. The attached pokemon is allowed to be one evolutionary stage higher than they would otherwise be at their current level.
Attached to Yo Momma the Snorlax

Nightstalker’s Token
The Nightstalker’s Token can be attached to Dark-type Pokémon only and greatly enhances their natural abilities. The wearer’s ability to trick the opponent is greatly increased, as is their ability to scare opposing Pokémon, regardless of intelligence or stature. In addition, the wearer’s curses are more difficult to remove and have more potent effects than they would usually. The wearer can use attacks like Sucker Punch up to twice on the same target, instead of the usual one use limit. This item causes the move Fling to deal Dark type damage if it is thrown. This token may be purchased during the week long Halloween 2014 event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.

Lucarionite
Allows Lucario to Mega Evolve.
Attached to Emlyn the Lucario

Athelas: Female Cherrim (level 1)
Biography: Athelas has spent much time being a primary support to her teammates. With time and training, she has managed to tap into the inner strength that her fellow teammates possess, though she can only do so when she is with them, and her potential in doing so is somewhat limited by her own abilities.
Hidden Power: Rock
Special Training: Let Me Be The Carry!
When Athelas is in battle and a teammate is sent out, she may choose three types that she has access to, and from each of these types choose three moves that her teammate knows, for a total of nine. She is then able to use these moves as long as her teammate remains in battle. Normal and typeless may not be selected as energy types. She may only use a move from her teammate's movepool once per round, and doing so costs an extra light amount of typeless energy. Moves gained from signatures cannot be copied in this manner.

Keaira: Female Sableye (level 1)
Biography: Keiara, being a Sableye, has always had a deep connection to the shadows around her. Inspired by her abilities involving shadows, Keira decided to go under training to use shadows further to her advantage, forming a strong attack out of them.
Hidden Power: Flying
Special Attack: Totally Not Shadowball (Ghost/Dark)
Keiara draws shadows around her into a ball of energy which she then hurls at the target for extreme damage. If the arena is very dark, the charge time will be reduced slightly, but if there is very little shadow to draw from, it will take longer, at ref's discretion. Obviously if for whatever reason there are no shadows about, the attack is unusuable. This attack takes extreme energy, and can be used twice per battle, once as a Ghost type attack, and once as a Dark type attack. Charge time in an average arena is just over that of a Hyper Beam.

Emlyn: Female Lucario (level 1)
Biography: Well trained in the art of fighting, Emlyn is no stranger to the idea that one must remain collected in order to defeat their foes. With many trickster foes capable of throwing minds out of whack with their multitude of mind altering attacks, Emlyn has focused on turning these tricks against their users for her own advantage.
Hidden Power: Bug
Special Attack: Infinity Strike (Fighting)
Emlyn closes her eyes and focuses her mind to clear it of all negative thoughts and return herself to her original mental state. Following this, Emlyn charges energy into her arms and strikes open palm with both hands. The strikes is rather forceful, and can cause foes of Emlyn's size or smaller to be sent backwards a way. The strike is charged with the energy used to clear the mind, normally dealing good damage, however, if the attack has successfully cleared any negative condition from Emlyn's mind, the attack deals considerable damage. Infinity Strike uses solid energy and can be used twice per battle.

Yo Momma: Female Snorlax (level 1)
Biography: Yo Momma so fat...
Hidden Power: Dragon
Special Attack: Momma's Kiss (Fairy)
Yo Momma goes to give the opponent a kiss, but she's so dumb she takes a bite out of them instead. The strength of the bite is dependent on the weight of the Pokemon, as Yo Momma will more enthusiastically attempt to eat heavier Pokemon. Momma's Kiss starts out as only doing Mild damage, but for every 100 pounds the opponent weighs it does an additional Mild damage, capping out at Extreme after 400 pounds. The move doesn't scale progressively, only jumps up at every 100 pounds, meaning it'll do the same amount of damage to a 100 pound Pokemon as it will to a 199 pound Pokemon. Momma's Kiss uses Significant Fairy energy and Yo Momma may only use it once per match.

Primordus: Male Dragonite (level 1)
Biography: The first Elder Dragon to rise from his slumber, his body produces such heat that some species built cities around him while he slept to harness his energy for their own use. They drained a large amount of power from him, but when he awoke, his inner fire still burned stronger than that of other Dragonite.
Hidden Power: Steel
Special Training: Destroyer King
Thanks to his inner warmth, Primordus no longer takes double supereffective damage from Ice attacks, now taking as much damage as he would if he were not part Flying. However, he now takes neutral damage from Water attacks.

Siri: Genderless Porygon-Z (level 1)
Biography: Siri was once the program inhabiting Mozz's phone, before she eventually became self-aware and attempted to break free. But her attempts required time, and she would find herself under constant attacks from viruses due to some... iffy searches, as well as feeling horrified as she would watch Mozz put valuable information out into the internet where it could be stolen. As such, she developed specialized firewalls that would shut down incoming viruses or prevent outgoing data. After she finally managed her escape, she adapted these firewalls for battle.
Hidden Power: Psychic
Special Attack: Firewall (Fire)
Siri uses significant Fire energy to loose a wall of flames which wraps itself around the arena before striking the foe. The amount of damage done is dependent on whether Siri uses the Upload or Download version of this attack, with Upload dealing moderate damage and Download dealing mild damage, the flames then waiting to strike later. The main difference between Upload and Download is when they strike during switches and new Pokemon being sent out. Upload will strike any Pokemon the opposing trainer recalls for moderate damage, while Download will strike any Pokemon the opposing trainer sends out for mild damage. This attack must be ordered as either Upload Firewall or Download Firewall, and Siri can only use each form once per battle, and has enough Fire energy to use both forms of Firewall in the same match.

"I'll start off with Athelas and Yo Momma."

Athelas will be pulling the moves Zen Headbutt, Psywave, Reflect, Gunk Shot, Belch, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, and Smack Down from Yo Momma's fat movepool.

Sorry. I might not always be able to order quickly any more. Work is accelerating as we hit 100 days to the election (oh god whyyyy)

Laa-Laa, on the sand, with Fire in your belly. Zeke, over water, with Ice in your heart. Go Go Gadget Mozz Badge!

Laa-Laa, Snatch your opposite number's purse. Zeke, circling out over the water and but keeping in firing range, launch an Ice Beam at the enemy Cherrim.

Laa-Laa, continue with Natural Gift on Snorlax. Then, Zeke, use Charge Beam on the closest target.

PS that Cherrim sig is a bit OP, no?

It's a Cherrim. It has three offtypes including Hidden Power.

"Yo Momma, pop off a Sunny Day then give Zeke a Solarbeam to think on.

Athelas, throw up a Rock Tomb in front of yourself to soak up that Ice Beam. Then give Laa-Laa a Toxic."

You should have seen the previous version, Kush. This is tame in comparison.
Round One
Koi: Both sides release their combatants, Sneasel showing his shiny new cherry Athleas, alongside Yo Momma the Snorlax, benefiting from her considerable girth.

Quark: The jokes are being computer-generated as we speak.

Koi: Kush counters with his own duo of Normal-types, his own Snorlax Laa-Laa partnered up with Zeke the Porygon-Z. The four combatants all stretch a little bit and get ready for a battle on the sunny beach.

Koi: Kush's monsters start the battle off. Laa-Laa's first move is a curse, eyes glowing menacingly as she attempts to Snatch away any boosting done by her fellow Snorlax. Yo Momma fails to notice however, as she makes the Sunny Day even sunnier with a burst of cloud-dispersing energy.

Quark: *snatches the printout from the Joketron 2000* Yo Momma's so fat, if she used Sunny Day, it'd be Sunny Night, because she'd block out the sun... *throws out the printoff*

Koi: Meanwhile, over the water, we see Zeke moving just off the shore. With a little bit of movement, he takes his time to line up an attack. Craning his head towards Athleas, he fires an Ice Beam. As he does, though, the sun comes out, and Athleas immediately blossoms, jumping into action and slamming into the beach to bring up a Rock Tomb, the beam colliding with it as it erupts from the sand. The rocky spikes frost over, ending the first act.

Koi: Laa-Laa keeps her momentum going, following with her next attack, pulling from the power of the arena around her to give a Natural Gift to her fellow tubby bear. A wave of blue, watery energy splashes up around Yo Momma, who is caught somewhat off guard. However, it doesn't stop her from her own attack, launching a speedy, sun-powered Solar Beam - not at Laa-Laa, but the floating Zeke, engulfing him in a big burst of light. Zeke looks a little shocked by the sudden blast, but manages to recover just fine, gathering a good deal of energy from his core, radiating an aura of energy. After a few moments he launches a Charge Beam in revenge, shocking Yo Momma and crackling with the remaining electricity.

Quark: *rips printout from Joketron 2000* Yo Momma's so fat, it's shocking!

Koi: To finish things up, the cheery, blossomed Athleas does something rather... ungraceful, spitting a big glob of Toxic onto Laa-Laa's paunch. Ew.

At the end of the round...

Pupurin: An eventful first round, though only two of the combatants took damage. Zeke had the worst round overall, burning through the most energy and taking the most damage, though Yo Momma is trailing just behind in both fronts. Plenty of type energy has been flung around thus far, though no one's particularly strained yet. Yo Momma and Athleas are both pretty close to each other, with Yo Momma nearer to the shore, while Laa-Laa is a ways from the shore and Zeke is still floating just off the shoreline.

It's Athelas, btw.

"Yo Momma, Pursuit to Zeke and then give it a Submission. Try to flip it further in towards the shore.

Athelas, pop off a Solarbeam at Laa-Laa. If for some reason you're unable to use the sun to do so, a Leech Seed will do. End with a Grass Knot on Laa-Laa."

Laa-Laa, do a Rain Dance, then exploit the remaining sun with a Fire Blast for Atheleas.

Zeke, quickly fly up as high as possible, then use Zap Cannon and target Yo Momma when you can.

Round Two
Koi: Our round starts, interestingly, with one of our slowest fighters, Yo Momma, shrouding herself in a dark bubble. She moves - with surprising speed - towards the shallows nearby. She seems to be in hot Pursuit of Zeke, who begins to move upwards, pushing towards its flight ceiling pretty quickly. However, with Snorlax's pretty significant height (pushing 7 feet!) Yo Momma is able to reach for Zeke's tail and put it into Submission, slamming it into the wet sand below. The awkward grip and soft impact buffers the damage slightly, but the whiplash from the magnetism pulling in Zeke's head disorients it momentarily, shaking him up a little.

Quark: *rips printout* Yo Momma's so fat, she got disqualified from a sumo match for breaking the arena.

Koi: After a few moments, Zeke get itself together, and begins to channel some electrical energies. The energy forms into a ball in front of its beak, sparking a bit as it aims at Yo Momma. Zeke launches the Zap Cannon at Yo Momma. Snorlax isn't terribly agile, but Zap Cannon isn't terribly fast, resulting in an awkward partial dodge that moderately paralyzes her and deals some damage.

Koi: Moving on to the battlers a little further ashore, Laa-Laa kicks it off by performing a Rain Dance, shuffling around and raising her arms. The effects aren't immediately noticeable, but clouds do roll in slowly at first. However, the sun isn't quite out of the game yet, and it gives Athelas opportunity to get off a quick-fire Solar Beam boosted by her cheery disposition. Laa-Laa is blasted by the beam, looking a little surprised by the quick hit. Before the cloud cover comes, however, Laa-Laa begins to react with a Fire Blast, spitting a stream of flames. Athelas manages to pump some Grass energy into the ground, however, generating a Grass Knot that wraps around her feet. Laa-Laa shifts forward and trips, her feet pushed into the ground by the tight knots, causing her to fall into the sand face-first. However, the flame column erupts into a 大 before she hits the ground, scorching Athelas in the process.

Koi: As the round ends, the sunlight fades and Athelas goes back into her bud.

At the end of the round...

Pupurin: Everyone has more or less crashed and burned damage-wise right now, with Yo Momma looking to be barely the best off, with Zeke just behind and Athelas and Laa-Laa lagging. Just about everyone's looking a little drained, though Athelas is still pretty energetic.

I would be pissed off, but I think I'm the one who made Grass Knot good and I for some reason deleted the order to stand perfectly still during Fire Blast.

Orders later!

Woops, sorry, had a busy weekend!

Zeke, advance on Cherrim while firing a Signal Beam at it, then use Secret Power on the nearest target.

Laa-Laa, extricate yourself and use Screech to interrupt up to one enemy attack.

"Athelas Safeguard the beam, setting it up early and holding it until the beam strikes. Follow up with a Leech Seed on Laa-Laa.

Yo Momma, pop off another Pursuit at Zeke whenever you're a little more comfortable moving, then flail all over him with a Facade."

Round Three
Koi: Zeke is the first to act this round, moving ashore with its sights set on Cherrim, craning its floating head towards the bud. As if reacting to this movement, Athelas takes a defensive stance, glowing with a faint Safeguard. Surely enough, an attack comes in the form of a Signal Beam, a glowing multicolored beam which is quickly eaten by the shimmering forcefield. As this is happening, we see Yo Momma struggling against the tight reigns of paralysis, attempting to go into Pursuit of the Porygon, but even the pull of the dark bubble is not enough for her to break free, the attack interrupted mid-way. However, it is enough to make her the nearest one to Zeke, prompting a Secret Power injection with the beak.

Koi: In the meantime, Laa-Laa spends some time righting herself and freeing her feet from the knotted grass restraints, preparing herself to fend off any enemy attacks with the sound of her voice. Before she can, however, a large Leech Seed comes flying at her, wrapping her in a tangle of sapping vines. It, however, does not mean she's any less vigilant, as she begins to Screech just as Yo Momma gets into her Facade-breaking assault, stopping it somewhat short.

At the end of the round...

Pupurin: Not a lot of damage exchanged, with Zeke and Yo Momma roughly even and Laa-Laa slightly lower than before due to Toxic. Energy was comparably light as well.

Look mate I know you're worried because I'm going to beat you so badly in this match but we're supposed to be testing out the KO mechanics, we'e not that close to one yet* and I feel like I should vanish pretty soon!

Could also be that I'm starting a new job, looking for a new house, and just got in an automobile accident last week and have to deal with the terrible bureaucracy that follows.

Orders when I get back from work.

I blame everything but myself.

"Yo Momma, Rock Tomb Zeke before setting up another Sunny Day.

Athelas, pop off a Psywave at Laa-Laa. Protect against anything typespammy."
