Arena: Referee's choice.
Welcome one and all to yet another ASB battle. Today, our two battlers are SilentReaper, a trainer I believe is TL2, and BLEU, who is TL3. This sound be an excellent battle. Oh and as a note, I will be using the 80/120 health/energy scale for this, just to try out something different. If you have any objections, be sure to say so.

Your arena for today:

Quote:
Orre Colosseum: The Orre Colosseum is an ancient battlefield created for the mightiest of trainers. The arena has a hard rock floor, making digging and the use of moves like Earthquake virtually impossible for smaller Pokemon. A thin layer of sand covers it. Due to this, sandstorms are easier to whip up here, and shall last somewhat longer. Five tall, twisted pillars of rock give the arena an ominous feel, and can be climbed upon if required. They are extremely sturdy, and even the mightiest of attacks shall struggle to destroy them. Only moves like Rock Smash and Brick Break will have swift effect, due to the incredible skill of the civilization that built this arena.
So, SilentReaper, your squad please!

Yu: Level 3 Male Vibrava
Hidden Power: Ice

Aquafinity: (water)
Due to his training in learning how to swim, Vibrava now familiar with the water type, getting as much energy as a ice would water. He is also more agile in the water. He can now use the moves surf, aqua jet, whirlpool, and water gun. Water attacks take 1.25x the amount of energy to preform. Due to him being extremely energetic he no longer likes to idle around and has forgotten how to use rest, sleeptalk, snore, hyperbeam, dragonbreath, strugglebug, captivate, endure, and focus energy.

Kanji:Level 2 Male Pikachu
Hidden Power: Ground

Cryogenically frozen: (ice)
Pikachu is familiar with the Ice-type because of his extensive training with ice type pokemon. He has the same amount of Ice-energy as he does Electric. Ice attacks take 1.25x the amount of energy to preform, and Pikachu now can use Ice Beam. Pikachu is 10% less agile cause of his newly-frigid body, due to being encased in ice. He also can't risk being reckless with his body and can no longer use the moves volt tackle, wild charge, focus punch, slam, reversal, rollout, seismic toss and flail. As a Raichu he cannot use hyperbeam, giga impact or counter, He is now also weak against the steel type.

Shinji: Level 2 Male Hawlucha
Hidden Power: Fairy

Yukiko: Level 2 Female Ivysaur
Hidden Power: Fire

Yosuke: Level 2 Male Frogadier
Hidden Power: Ground

Level 2 Male Houndour

Houndour lets make this quick.

Taunt the ghoul and then Dark Pulse his face. Taunt again if it somehow evades the first.

Also bleu this is equill 2, thus I don't think your mons are level 4 and 3.

Yea, I did not notice that. Since it is equiall 2, I will also have to change the evolution stages of my Pokemon. If I have the permission to edit my post with the respective evolution changes..?

Round 1

BLEU, I assumed you meant Equilevel 2 when you said Equil 2. That means your Pokemon will have the same evolutionary stage as they did in your Squad Summary post, but are counted as Level 2 Pokemon, with your uplevel being Level 3. So there's no need to change your squad. But since you and SilentReaper agreed to Equiall 2, I shall conduct the battle in that.

Two trainer walk into the Colosseum, and while sand may be seen all over the arena, a sandstorm isn't currently ongoing, thankfully for them. The deserted arena serves as a reminder that not all arenas must be flashy or boring. BLEU and SilentReaper briefly exchange greetings with each other before going to their sides of the arena. BLEU is the first to send, he chooses a Gastly named Kyle. While his opponent sends out a Houndour without a name.

Quote:
Gastly (Ghost/Poison): Gastly are essentially living gas and as such can only condense for a short time into a solid form to execute physical attacks. They are ethereal by default, but can become invisible for longer periods. When invisible, Gastly remain ethereal and do not enter a physical state. Gastly levitate by default, though they are not particularly fast or agile.
Houndour (Dark/Fire): Houndour have hearing that is more sensitive than normal at the expense of being more vulnerable to sound-based status moves and an excellent sense of smell which allows them to track opponents and tell the real clone in a Double Team. Much like the Growlithe family, while more reluctant to bond, they are fiercely loyal to those who earn their trust. As dogs they are quite good diggers and deal 1.1x damage with their biting attacks.
Both Pokemon stare at each other, wearing fearsome expressions. Houndour decides to place a curse on Kyle before the Gastly is able to curse him back. He starts barking at Kyle, it's unclear what is exactly being said but it seems to have Taunted the ghoul. Kyle becomes much more aggressive after this, his anger now fueling his desire to defeat Houndour. His eyes conjure a Night black ray, appearing quite similar to a Thunderbolt, except Shadier. He fires the beam right at Houndour, it takes the newer form of a circle, damaging Houndour, who just doesn't seem to give a darn about the attack. A devious smile takes place on the canine Pokemon, some Dark energies seem to leak out of his mouth. A Pulsating vortex of dark purple rings is unleashed from Houndour, the vortex slams into Kyle, causing even more damage due to the special nature of the attack. Kyle hisses at the Houndour, eager to make him pay. A sphere of Shadows forms close by Kyle, he immediately sends the Ball right for Houndour. The ball explodes on impact, creating smoke, Kyle thinks that has to be enough to cause his foe to tremble before him. But is shocked to see that Houndour appears mostly unharmed from the blast, he realizes that this won't be an easy battle to win.

Summary: Kyle is already hurting this early, the Ethereal state's characteristics doing him no favors. Houndour isn't as damaged, taking two resisted blows. Both are fresh.

Smog to hinder it's vision. If the smog stays, Will-o-wisp. Else, Dark Pulse.

Round 2

Kyle immediately starts off by exhaling a large amount of poisonous Smog, causing lowered visibility, not to mention its pretty dangerous as it can explode if ignited. Houndour however, does not need to see, he uses his keen sense of smell to track down the Gastly. He sniffs around and smells out Kyle, accidentally inhaling the poison from the gas. That doesn't seem to be a concern for him however, Houndour summons five warped images of his teammates. They hover upwards from Houndour and towards Kyle, and proceed to begin their assault. The illusions start to simply Beat on the Gastly, throwing punches, kicks, tackles, and so forth. Luckily for Kyle, the images disappear upon hitting him at least once, but he remains quite annoyed at his foe for playing dirty. He conjures a Wispy blue flame, and chucks it right at Houndour. The small flame doesn't seem to do much against the Houndour, not even a burn. The canine Pokemon laughs at his foe's attempts to attack. He creates a new set of dark images from his teammates, they again fly straight for Kyle. And Beat him Up once again, Kyle cries out from the attack's strength, leaving him pretty close to being knocked out. Houndour decides to simply put his foe of his misery by...conjuring warped doppelgängers of his allies, who desire finish what they pretty much started this round. The Beatings on Kyle last a shorter time, the assault dies down as soon as they see that Kyle cannot continue the fight.

Kyle is unable to battle! BLEU, please send out your next Pokemon and orders!

Summary: Houndour needs an immediate break, going through over a fourth of his total energy already. Poisoned too.

If you ask how Kyle fainted so fast, remember, he was in the Ethereal state this whole time and that causes him to take 50% more damage from special attacks before the super effective modifiers. And this battle is using the 80/120 health and energy scale.

Round 3

BLEU recalls Kyle, thanking the Gastly for battling as hard as it did. He briefly thinks about a good choice of Pokemon to send next, tossing out a Pokeball containing an Aerodactyl named John.

Quote:
Aerodactyl (Rock/Flying): Aerodactyl are a terrifying sight and its fear-inducing attacks are more effective. Aerodactyl's biting moves are 1.2x more powerful than those of other Pokémon. Though not particularly agile, Aerodactyl are powerful fliers. They use less energy when carrying other Pokemon and can carry up to 1.5x most Flying types could.
John takes to the skies, looking down on his foe with a glare. Houndour glares right back at his new foe, he chuckles for a moment, wondering if John can stay on the field longer than Kyle did. The Aerodactyl isn't in a laughing mood right now, an Iron like casing wraps his Head, John dives straight down for Houndour. The prehistoric Pokemon rams his cranium right into Houndour's body, causing the Fire type to grit his teeth but not do a whole lot. Houndour's mouth suddenly opens wide, spewing forth a few blobs of Toxic poison right for John. The toxins fade right into the Aerodactyl's body, where it shall take effect soon enough. John isn't exactly amused by this, he conjures up a rock made from the most Ancient of Powers right in front of his menacing jaws. He flings the rock towards Houndour, the rock is smashed into pieces upon colliding with the Fire type, causing to growl at John, as the attack's power was increased due to being super effective.

Summary: Houndour enjoyed his break, spent roughly half his Poison. Already out of his first fourth of health now. John went through a good portion of his Steel, can fuel another Iron Head. Untouched currently but Toxic takes effect next round. John is somewhat close to the ground but still in the air.

Round 4

Houndour's aggression starts to get even higher. His mind begins to think up of such Nasty plans to destory his foes, the Plotting immediately takes effect, boosting his Attack power. John, bored of Houndour's plotting and appearing to be all bark and no bite, charges straight for the canine. Houndour shuts his eyes quickly, believing his foe is trying to aim for his eyes, he cringes as John's talons press on his skin. He opens his eyes to see that he is in the Sky, pretty far up there. John doesn't feel as though he is carrying anything, as his species are able to carry more than what they normally can. The Fossil Pokemon speeds through the air, he swiftly shifts his course, deciding to plummet right back onto Earth. He releases his grip on Houndour, letting him Drop to the ground. Houndour appears to be legitimately scared, he prays that he won't turn into paste upon landing. John laughs at his foe's sudden change in attitude, Houndour isn't pleased at this to say the least. The canine slams back onto the Colosseum's hard floor, crying out in pain as a result. He regains his bearings, growling yet again at his foe. His Dark thoughts fueling his Attack, another series of blackish-purple rings are unleashed from his mouth. They collide into John, the attack being higher in power making it especially hurt. John retaliates, a spiraling purple aura covers his body, he flies as fast as he can to gain momentum for one of the most powerful attacks in the ASB. He slams his head right into Houndour, the Dark type screams from the Impact of the attack, however, this leaves John panting from the energy intensive assault.

*Toxic for John + Poison for Houndour*

Summary: Houndour took a load of damage, alright. Sending him below the mid point as far as health goes. John is still in his first fourth of health, needs a break because Giga Impact is really draining.

Round 5

Panting, John still attempts to keep going. A purple spiral of energy surrounds his body, and tries to ram into his foe. Houndour's jaws figuratively drop, asking why would John strain himself so greatly when he could have stayed out of range and Attack from a distance. Regardless, Houndour simply waits for his foe all the while he starts charging some energy into his paw. John's back into view, he rams right into Houndour, but not before the latter does some Foul Play to use the momentum against John. The damage done to Houndour is reduced while John takes a huge hit. John is now extremely aggravated but the cheap trick, wanting to get revenge. A mist-like flame Breathes out from his large jaws, the Dragon Attack hurting Houndour and paralyzing him as well. But John has, unfortunately played right into Houndour's paws, the canine Pokemon begins to mutter odd things in his language, it appears he's Spiting John. The Aerodactyl feels much more tired now, and is panting heavily.

*Toxic + Poison for John and Houndour respectively*

Summary: John got the opposite of a breather this round, he will immediately sluggish next round and badly needs a break. Dragon is tapped out to Spite draining it. He can see the mid point of health now. Houndour's Ghost is at half and diminishing returns are now in play for him. Health is nearing the last fourth. Paralyzed by Dragon Breath.

Round 6

Despite being placed in a bind of sorts, Houndour continues his assault on John. His mouth opens wide once again, Dark energies gather around it, and out comes a Pulsating beam of darkness. It collides into John, the Aerodactyl screeches out in pain, he turns that screech into a Supersonic directed at Houndour. The soundwaves irritate Houndour quite greatly due to nature of his ears, bewildered, Houndour simply ignores his trainer's orders. The confusion disrupting his mind.

*Poison + Toxic*

Summary: John dipped past midpoint of health, the shortness of the round didn't offer him a great breather but he won't be as sluggish. Houndour is confused, untouched save for Poison, which has left him below the midpoint as well in terms of health.
