The lights flicker on from above, seeping through the wholes in the roof made especially for them. From opposite tunnels, two trainers step into the painted squares on the freshly visible concrete floor. They both give the other a nod, reaching down to their belts, each enlarging a single Pokeball as they prepare for battle. One is a man with an illustrious afro that all envy, and a man I know quite well. The other, a returning face from long ago. Regardless of their origin, they each want one thing: victory.

Just to be safe, here's how the first round or so will go:

Squad from edwardel.
Squad from Miror, sending out a Pokemon.
Pokemon and orders from edwardel.
Orders from Miror.
I ref.
Orders from Miror.
Orders from edwardel.

Then I ref and the order reverses. So, let's get a squad from edwardel to kick us off. Good luck!

Good luck to you as well, and thanks Spark for reffing!

Tythonia - Level 3 Female Banette (Uplevel)
Special Technique - The Voodooisante's Zipper
Tythonia unzips her mouth, unleashing the horrors of the malicious energy within. This energy can then be used to either cloak herself or her opponent, with differing effects. When cloaking herself, Tythonia becomes much more violent and malign, which results in her receiving a boost similar to Geomancy, except boosting her Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. When cloaking her opponent, however, they become tormented by the essence of hatred exuding from the surrounding energy, completely disrupting the opponent and having a 75% chance of either making them flinch, confused, or be fully petrified by the potency of the energy, an effect similar to Tri Attack (rolling first for whether the status occurs and if it happens, then rolling for which status would occur). This technique makes Tythonia intimidating to the opponent she enveloped for the remainder of the match. This technique can only be used once per match and costs significant energy. Tythonia loses access to Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Trick, Natural Gift, Attract, and Return, the more powerful moves because she channels most of her powerful life energy needed for them into this attack, and the others due to the hatred that courses through her veins not allowing for gifts or friendly relations. She also becomes much more straightforward, thus why she's less Tricky.

Dulcian - Level 2 Male Onix
Special Resistance - The Beachcomber's Nightmare
Dulcian has become a pure Ground-type, gaining the weaknesses and resistances associated with such a typing. He retains Rock-type familiarity, having enough Rock-type energy to fuel three Stone Edges. His body is less dense than previously (about 20% lighter), due to being made out of sand as opposed to solid rock. No longer being made of Rock at all has affected Dulcian's movepool as well, as he loses access to the move Rock Polish.

Navarino - Level 2 Male Shieldon

Thal - Level 2 Male Combusken

Morlox - Level 2 Male Cacnea

Titan - Level 1 Male Snorunt

Alright Tythonia, let's get this started.

Round 1: Miror and I Can Be Sick Together

From the illustrious Miror's Pokeball a dark shadow emerges from the bright red glow, manifesting in a dull doll, a truly spooky Banette. With a zip and a spark, a Magnemite begins skirting around on the other end of the arena. Immediately, his magnets begin to rotate as a screeching sound begins to fill the battlefield. Quick to react, Tythonia covers herself in a pink hue. She cringes from the ear splitting clanking of metal, but the energy is able to protect her from any mind altering effects. Disappointed, Magnemite brings his magnets together as they cool down from the spinning. Between them, a criss cross pattern of electricity forms, merging together to make a solid web. With a swing, he hurls the sparking netting at Tythonia, who manages to shift into ethereal state before the web reaches her, causing it to fly backwards as Miror hops to the side, narrowly avoiding the strike. After avoiding that attack, Tythonia looks to put on some hurt. Between her hands, tendrils of violet swirl in a sphere, rapidly growing in size. She fires the ball at Magnemite, striking him in the left magnet as he darts to get out of the way, managing to avoid a complete hit. This round leaves both Pokemon fresh and ready to fight, with Tythonia holding a health lead over her foe.

Round 2: Download

Because of all of Banette's offensive options, she draws from the shadows in the corners of the arena, collecting them all into a ball. The sphere soon goes flying forward, only to be halted by a pink translucent screen her foe had been assembling. Looking to bust through with sheer force, Tythonia makes another one of these orbs and rockets it forward. In narrows in the air, but like it's counterpart, cannot best the screen, simply drawing with it as they both pop out of existence on contact, only trail wisps of the ball reaching it's target from some small damage. Magnemite then gives a loud buzz as he takes the data from the attack and puts it into his shot term memory files, hoping to recreate the move later in the match. Tythonia still holds a nice health lead over her opponent. Magnemite is still good for two, whereas Tythonia would prefer a break at this point.

Round 3: Veeeeeery Sneaky

Acting quick and with a vengeance, Magnemite's magnets whir, creating sparks which fly everywhere. They appear blue at first, but shift to a bright yellow as they shoot further away. The buildup reaches it's height, and from Magnemite's body, an arc of electricity shoots up before coming down on Tythonia, lighting up her now invisible body with a painful jolt. She recovers soon, though, and drifts away from her current position, leaving Magnemite with no clue on her whereabouts. Satisfied by this, she casts a silent spell on herself, feeling a stick of pain as some health leaves her, placing her just into her second third of health. Her invisible body surely grins at her foe screeches loudly, the pain of the curse reaching him. Despite how much it hurts, he remains in his first third, but leads by a rather small amount. Both Pokemon will be fresh to start the next round.

Round 4: Much Less Sneaky

As Tythonia begins to charge her move, she slowly regains her visible form, unable to remain invisible as she performs this ranged move. Seizing the opportunity, Magnamite studies her intensely, watching her every movement as she rapidly conjures up an orb of Ghost energy. As he completes the scouting, he's slammed in the face with yet another sphere of shadows. He shrugs off the hit, focusing intently on his opponent as he copies the maneuver near flawlessly. Tythonia gasps as the orb bursts upon contact, hurt greatly by the energies inside. However, when Magnemite attempts to repeat the attack, he finds he no longer has the energy necessary to perform it. What he does have is a major pain drain taking place inside of him, the Curse taking it's toll once more. Both competitors are below the midpoint and neck and neck in health, and they both can go for two. Tythonia will be able to go invisible one more round.

Round 5: Overheated

Magnemite's top screw begins to spark, blue electricity running up it and collecting into a ball as his eyes stay right on Tythonia. The little sparks quickly take a straight, but jagged form as they disperse forward, bounding forth. They crash into Tythonia, who cannot avoid Magnemite's precision despite her best efforts. Forgoing the order to go invisible since it makes little sense with her current attack pattern, she spits an intense burst of blue, slightly orange flames towards Magnemite, causing him to buzz as he feels slightly melty due to the heat. Responding quickly, he zaps Tythonia with another arc of electricity more powerful than the last widespread burst. Tythonia takes the hit, and goes for the kill with another flame, this one leaving a nasty burn on Magnemite's face. Suddenly, he drops from the air as the curse takes effect, putting him on the floor momentarily. Slowly, he takes back to the air, hovering low off the ground, deep into critical health. Tythonia hovers above the final third, and she's out of Fire energy. Both parties can manage a two mover.

Round 6: Battering Ram

As Tythonia charges yet another orb of shadows, Magnemite swiftly prepares another protective barrier of pinkness in front of him. It is completed as the ball flies through the air, and the sphere bursts on the screen, causing some cracks, but failing to do damage to the intended target. Keeping with the pressure, Tythonia makes another before Magnemite can act, and this one shatters the screen completely, and the few wisps that get through manage to put Magnemite down, leaving Tythonia panting a fair amount.

Magnemite is unable to battle! Next Pokemon from Edwardel!

Round 7: Status Quo

Sliding out on his slimy belly, Poliwhirl erupts from his ball, ready to go. He hops to his feet and quickly forms a compact ball of water between his hands. It flies straight through the air, slamming into Tythonia's solid face, but not leaving any trace of the desires effects. Suddenly, her body viciously crackles and sparks before a large zag of lightning shoots outwards and upwards, bending a striking Poliwhirl just as he attempts to dive out of the way, scoring a rather large partial blow. Hopping up again, Poliwhirl's eyes light up as he spots his foe panting heavily, feeling quite exhausted at the current moment. Seizing the opportunity, he stares her down, covering the space between them with a series of drowsy rings. As they pass over Tythonia's head, they cause her eyes to shut as she drifts downwards, now asleep and hovering only a little off the ground. She'll be feeling more fresh than before after the one move since the immediate fatigue has begun to wear off, but she is into her final third of health. Electric energy is at a third remaining. Poliwhirl took a large hit, but he holds a commanding lead, being very fresh going into this next round.
