Dewott UPN PASBL: Sparkbeat vs Miror

Okay, so. I don't really know either of you too well, although spark has a somewhat familiar name and Miror has cool sigs. That's pretty much all I know, so...

Info:
Sparkbeat (C) vs Miror (A)
2 vs. 2
Singles
Equilevel 1
Slapstick
48 Hour DQ
4/6 Scale
Lawn Arena

Lawn Arena is pretty basic, a grassy field. Can't really make it any more simple.

Y'all should know how this goes, but I'll explain anyway.

Spark posts squad
Miror posts squad, sends out his first choice
Spark sends out his first choice, orders
Miror orders
I ref, and then stuff happens.

We copacetic? Let's go, then.

Thanks Kairne, and good luck to you as well Spark!

Dulcian - Level 1 Male Onix
Sig: Special Resistance - The Beachcomber's Nightmare
Dulcian has become a pure Ground-type, gaining the weaknesses and resistances associated with such a typing. He retains Rock-type familiarity, having enough Rock-type energy to fuel three Stone Edges. His body is less dense than previously (about 20% lighter), due to being made out of sand as opposed to solid rock. No longer being made of Rock at all has affected Dulcian's movepool as well, as he loses access to the move Rock Polish.

Manussan - Level 1 Female Lotad

Tythonia - Level 2 Female Banette (Uplevel), Banettite attached
Sig:Special Technique - The Voodooisante's Zipper
Tythonia unzips her mouth, unleashing the horrors of the malicious energy within. This energy can then be used to either cloak herself or her opponent, with differing effects. When cloaking herself, Tythonia becomes much more violent and malign, which results in her receiving a boost similar to Geomancy, except boosting her Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. When cloaking her opponent, however, they become tormented by the essence of hatred exuding from the surrounding energy, completely disrupting the opponent and having a 75% chance of either making them flinch, confused, or be fully petrified by the potency of the energy, an effect similar to Tri Attack (rolling first for whether the status occurs and if it happens, then rolling for which status would occur). This technique makes Tythonia intimidating to the opponent she enveloped for the remainder of the match. This technique can only be used once per match and costs significant energy. Tythonia loses access to Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Trick, Natural Gift, Attract, and Return, the more powerful moves because she channels most of her powerful life energy needed for them into this attack, and the others due to the hatred that courses through her veins not allowing for gifts or friendly relations. She also becomes much more straightforward, thus why she's less Tricky.

Voord - Level 1 Male Kricketune
Sig: Special Attack - Whoop Shockwave
Voord now has access to the move Boomburst. Using extreme energy, Voord can also choose to lace the Boomburst with either Fire, Ice, or Electric energy, having just enough energy to use one of the three per match. In favor of this more powerful sound attack, Voord lost the ability to use Uproar, Hyper Voice, Snore, Sleep Talk, Growl, and Echoed Voice.

Thal: Level 1 Male Combusken

Jedondan: Level 1 Genderless Magnemite

Also loling over Remoraid.

Jedondan, let's get this started.

Dewott Round One: Not the Obvious Switch

I'm not sure if you were wanting an RF, but I might be able to knock out a round or two tonight, depending on how it turns out.

Miror throws his PokeBall, releasing a Magnemite named Jedondan, a name I will continually have to keep checking to make sure I'm spelling it correctly. In response, sparky throws his own PokeBall, releasing an obvious Swinub. Named Mov3r, apparently, and in all likelihood I will often forget, or "forget" to add in the 3.

Quote:
Magnemite (Electric/Steel): Magnemite levitate by default. Moving by electro magnetic propulsion, they are not as fast as other levitating Pokémon, but are more agile. They are inorganic and can see in the dark. They fight more enthusiastically in manmade environments.
[Electric]: Electric-types, in general, prefer areas where their electric attacks are most accurate. Thus, while hot temperatures don’t bother them, the fact that heat refracts electricity doesn't appeal to them. They are resistant to paralysis inflicted by Electric-type moves, though they may be paralysed as normal by other methods. Electric types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water.
[Steel]: Steel-type Pokémon generally have hard bodies, making them resistant to physical blows and projectiles. Most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible, though they are not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are. Most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones. Steel-types take neutral damage from the damaging effects of Normal-type energy in the ASB, as opposed to resisted damage in the games. They are immune to the damaging effects of Poison-type energy and are difficult to poison.

Swinub (Ice/Ground): Swinub have a large amount of fur, which keeps them warm in otherwise unbearably cold temperatures and slightly reduces damage from Fire and Ice attacks. They have an excellent sense of smell which allows them to track opponents and tell the real clone in a Double Team. They are adept at hiding in blizzards and can see through them easily.
[Ice]: Ice-type Pokémon are highly resistant to cold fight more enthusuastically in cold environments. However, they hate hot temperatures, and will not fight as enthusiastically. Ice-type attacks which have a secondary effect such as Icy Wind and Ice Beam are slightly more likely to have their effects triggered when used by Ice-type Pokémon, though they are often resistant to such effects themselves. Ice-types are generally sure footed and difficult to knock over. They tend to have slightly more Water energy than other Pokémon if they naturally learn attacks of that type.
[Ground]: Ground-type Pokémon are considered to be immune to electricity while standing on the ground. If a Ground Pokémon is in the air, they take 0.75x the usual damage from Electric-type attacks. If a Ground-type is wet, electric attacks affect it normally (unless the Pokémon is naturally wet/slimy, like Quagsire). Ground types do not suffer from recoil damage when using Electric attacks in the water. Ground-type Pokémon are more adept at manipulating outdoor and 'natural' environments than other Pokémon and will spend less energy using Dig, Earthquake etc. They typically have slightly more Rock energy than other Pokémon if they naturally learn attacks of that type.
Pallas: Mover takes the initiative here, opening his cute little mouth and shooting out a few little orbs of blue energy. These Shoot at the Magnemite whose name I've already forgotten, but, as an Electric/Steel type, it really doesn't want to get slammed with such a heavy hit. Instead, it uses a draining amount of his Psychic energy reserves, and disappears in a small pop of light. The energy orbs sail through where the Magnemite existed not seconds ago, their trajectory sending them into the ground, where they pop into bursts of sticky, icky Mud.

Mover is a bit confuzzled, now. Where did that pesky magnet go, he wonders? He starts to sniff for him, when he suddenly winces in pain, a bright, Flashing steel beam catching him from behind, strong and forceful like it was shot through a Cannon. The Swinub makes an about face, and sees his metallic foe, who had hidden behind him, having Teleported to safety there. However, this wouldn't save it now, as Mover sends out a stream of Earthy energy through the ground, a pillar erupting under the Jedondan, dealing a Powerful blow as it shoots up like a geyser from below.

At the end of the round...

Jedondan is looking a little beat up already, that nice hit already pushing it down past the second-third mark. Energy use was a fair click, and it used most of its Psychic, but it's still fresh for two.

Mov3r used less energy and took less damage, and is in overall much better shape. Still above the second third mark in health, looking better than Magnemite on energy.

Those 3x weaknesses in 4/6, man.

Miror, you're up

Dewott Round Two: Why I Hate 4/6

Can my reffing just be this comic?

... no? Damn.

Pallas: Magnemite releases an electrical current through its body with the power of Magnetism. This energy increases its abilities with levitation and lets it Rise a little higher. Magnemite is now levitating!

Golly!

Pallas: As it does this, the Swinub wants to harm it some more, and he shoots out another barrage of projectiles, this Shot hitting Jedondan squarely. The blue balls burst into mucky Mud on contact, which might make movement for the Magnemite difficult. You know, if it actually needed to move to levitate around. Jedondan starts to charge up its next move, but the next barrage of Mud Shot comes sailing at it before it can focus its energy into a usable attack. Unfortunately for the magnetic hero, this proves to be too much for it, as it slumps, still levitating, but down for the count.

Jedondan is unable to battle! Second and last Pokemon from Miror!

Mov3r is looking a bit winded, and might need a break soon. He sustained no damage.

Dewott Round Three: The Big Guns

Miror recalls his fallen but still floaty Magnemite, letting it rest for awhile. In its place, he sends out his Onix, the giant earthy snake with a name much easier to remember, Dulcian.

Wow, this sig is almost broken...

Quote:
Onix (Ground): Onix are large Pokémon and are able to burrow through hard materials such as concrete with their Dig attack easily. They can see in the dark. They have slightly higher physical defence compared to other Rock-types.
Pallas: Dulcian channels energy into his tail, filling it with a charge of Earthy power. He rushes forward, slamming the tail into his piggy foe. As he slams into him, he transfers the destructive power of a mighty Quake into his small body, dealing some nice damage to the little pig. Mov3r shakes himself off as he tries to back up a bit, but as he does so, he stomps around, sending out pulses of energy into the ground. This makes it difficult for him to really step back much. These pulses of Ground energy slam into Dulcian as he rears forward to Slam his large form into Mov3r. He falls, as if he was struck by a Bulldozer. Unfortunately for Mov3r, however, he was mid-strike and this faltering makes him fall right on the Swinub. His Body traps his foe's as Mover takes some truly excruciating damage. This causes some paralysis in the little swine's body. Dulcian gets back up and into a position ready for more, not having been ordered to keep his foe pinned further.

At the end of the round...

Dulcian took a small hit, nothing bad. A nice amount of energy use, not exhausting.

Mov3r took quite a hit, and is hovering around his final remaining third in health. On energy, he enjoyed the breather and is up for two.

Dewott Round Four: Things Happen

That was totally a round name I've used before and I was going to have it be "Things Go Too Quick" or something of the like but it was just too tempting.

Pallas: Dulcian swings his mass at Mov3r, Slamming his massive body at the paralysed pig. The Heavyweight ramming into him relieves the paralysis. It also relieves Mov3r of that pesky consciousness.

Mov3r is unable to battle! Second and last Pokemon from Spark!

Dulcian used a little Steel energy, but he has a fair bit left. He didn't catch a breather but he's not looking much worse for the wear on energy, and can still pull off a two-mover okay.

Dewott Round Five: A Challenger Appears!

Sparky returns Swinub and sends out a Corphish, named Jet.

Quote:
Corphish (Water): Corphish are highly aggressive and territorial and are thus susceptible to anger inducing moves. They will act more enthusiastically when using any offensive technique and less enthusiastically when using any defensive technique. Corphish can swim, but prefers to walk along the bottom of the water instead of swim in it. They can see in the dark.
[Water]: Water-type Pokémon are generally able to hold their breath and/or breathe underwater. The time varies, from several rounds in the case of birds, mammals and reptiles to indefinitely for fish and squid like Pokémon. They are generally good swimmers and are better at manipulating Water for moves like Surf and Whirlpool than other Pokémon. They have slightly more Ice-typed energy than other Pokémon if they naturally learn attacks of that type.
Pallas: Jet works quickly, summoning a wave of water and riding it at Dulcian. The Onix isn't quite quick enough to respond as this happens, the fresh, enthusiastic crustacean Surfing at him too quickly. However, unfortunately for Jet, Onix is quite large, and magic surf is a smaller wave, so he's not able to climb onto Dulcian's back, as much as hitting his side and trying to latch on. Which doesn't work too well, and he falls back on the ground. Dulcian swings his tail at the Corphish, slamming into him with the force of a great Earthquake, dealing some nice damage and knocking him back a little.

Jet retaliates by shooting out a jet of water, living up to his name. Steam rises from the burst of Scalding water as it hits Dulcian for a nasty blow. So, for his own revenge, he strikes the ground hard, pumping energy into the earth and making it open, A large Fissure tears open underneath Jet, and he falls into it, hard. This could cause some problems for the crustacean.

At the end of the round...

Dulcian took some punishment here, and he's dropped down near the final third of his health. He needs a breather.

Jet got thrashed and is close to the second-third mark. Energy use was okay.

Dewott Round Six: As If I Needed More Reason to Hate 4/6

Pallas: Jet, being particularly fresh cloaks himself an Aquatic veil, taking precedence with a very quick move of his native typing. Living up to his name, he Jets up out of fissure, thanking Kalos for all it's worth, and slamming into Dulcian. The Onix smacks his tail onto the ground, kicking up Rocks to slam against Jet. He falls back into the crevice, half-buried in rubble, a significant amount of earth having Slid back onto him as he fell. He still has a view of Dulcian, and he takes aim, shooting a Beam of frigid energy at his foe. The Onix's skin starts to freeaze over of it hits him, forming a thin layer of Ice. This proves to be too much, and Dulcian falls.

Dulcian is unable to battle! Jet and sparkbeat are the winners!

It was more balanced in the end matchup, but that first matchup threw a wrench into things. Good battle though.

Sparkbeat wins by KO, and he gets 2 KOs and 4 TP
Miror gets 2 TP consolation
I get 4 SP for super-quick reffings
