Yay congrats on the TL2 Miror!

Hester - Level 2 Female Mandibuzz (Uplevel)
The bones around its waist act as a defensive buffer, giving it a slight boost in defense for all attacks that hit around that area. Much like Cubone's helmet, it can break and be replaced for a 1 SP fee or a stay in the Pokémon Center.
[Dark]: Dark types can see in the dark. They prefer to fight at night, however light does not adversely affect them.
[Flying]: Flying Pokémon, with a few exceptions, all fly. Those who cannot are faster and more agile in their chosen mode of transportation. When standing on the ground, they take 1x damage from Electric moves.

Biography:The fourth addition to the Ratite Squad is Hester, a mysterious Vullaby nicknamed after The Scarlet Letter’s Hester Prynne. Although a dark type, Hester lacks a sinister air to her, making her well-liked by her teammates.
Hidden Power: Fairy

Ouroboros - Level 1 Male Onix
Onix are large Pokémon, and are able to burrow through hard materials with their Dig attack easily (such as concrete). Onix can see in the dark.
[Rock]: Rock types generally have hard bodies, which makes them resistant to unskilled (non-fighting) blows. However, most are so heavy that they will sink in water, so they stay away from deep-water sources if possible. Rock types prefer heat to cold.
[Ground]: Ground Pokémon are considered to be immune to electricity while standing on the ground. If a Ground Pokémon is in the air, they take 75% the normal damage from electric attacks. If a ground type is wet, electric attacks affect it normally (unless the Pokémon is naturally wet/slimy, like Quagsire).

Hidden Power: Flying

Vincent - Level 1 Male Combusken
Combusken's legs are very powerful. It can jump fairly high (about 15 feet in the air) and its kicking attacks are slightly more powerful than normal.
[Fire]: Fire types love hot temperatures. Most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time (indefinitely in the case of Magby, Magmar, Slugma and Magcargo). If a fire Pokémon has a flame somewhere on its body, it will take extra damage if a water attack hits the flame. Otherwise, fire Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short (except for the above 4 Pokémon, who will take damage the longer they are in the water). Instead of being automatically 2x weak to Water, they take 150% of the damage if hit on their bodies, but take 210+% if hit on open flames.
[Fighting]: Fighting Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, which gives them slightly greater endurance and energy.

Biography:Vincent comes from the Roman word vincere, or ‘to conquer’. When announced, the name acts as an intimidation tactic in itself, granting the opponent knows its meaning. However, the Torchic doesn’t quite fit the name given to him. This little Torchic is very shy and will usually prefer escape tactics than withstanding an attack.
Hidden Power: Psychic

Kaguya - Level 1 Female Cleffa
As a baby, Cleffa lacks the shyness of its higher evolutions. All baby Pokémon's techniques that are based on cuteness (such as Charm, Attract, Sweet Kiss, etc) are slightly more effective.. The Clefairy family cannot see in total darkness, but they can see better than most in low-light. Due to their practice with a wide variety of moves, they rarely master any one off type and as such suffer from the Normal types limited type energy.
[Fairy]: Fairys are slightly more adept at support moves than most Pokémon and use slightly less energy to perform them. Fairies prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically there. Any attack used by a Fairy type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. Fairies dislike fighting in urban environments.
Hidden Power: Psychic

Sanguine - Level 1 Male Budew
All baby Pokémonfs Charm attacks, if the Pokémon can be Charmed, are twice as effective.
[Grass]: Grass types live anywhere that can support vegetation, though most prefer temperate to tropical climates. Grass types enjoy both bright sun and rain. Rainstorms will heal them slightly every round the rain falls.
[Poison]: If not completely immune, poison types are highly resistant to poisoning.

Hidden Power: Fire

Bynhildr - Level 1 Female Solosis
Solosis’s body is surrounded by a liquid chemically similar in composition to a cell’s cytoplasm, acting as a protective buffer from the outside environment. The damaging effects of weather, such as Hail or Sandstorm, will be buffered by this coating of liquid, and statuses, like poison or burn, may be weakened or distributed. Toxic will take an extra turn to set in as it diffuses through this liquid coat.
[Psychic]: Psychics are considered to automatically be familiar with psychic abilities. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and toss Pokémon. If facing a non-bug, non-dark opponent, psychics can sense their opponent somewhat, making accuracy reducing attacks less effective.
Hidden Power: Rock

Thanks for reffing Connor, and good luck Ex :]

Zarbi - Level 2 Female Xatu (Uplevel)
Xatu (Psychic/Flying): Xatu is not the best of fliers. What it does have over them, however, is two things: It can see a few seconds into the future, allowing it to avoid attacks more easily. Also, once every 10 rounds, Xatu may use a move to see into the past and recall what has happened in a particular area during the battle, relaying what it sees psychically to its trainer. The last ability only works during a Grand Melee. Xatu can hold very still, making it harder to spot if it is hiding.
[Psychic]: Psychics are considered to automatically be familiar with psychic abilities. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and toss Pokémon. If facing a non-bug, non-dark opponent, psychics can sense their opponent somewhat, making accuracy reducing attacks less effective.
[Flying]: Flying Pokémon, with a few exceptions, all fly. Those who cannot are faster and more agile in their chosen mode of transportation. When standing on the ground, they take 1x damage from Electric moves.

Dulcian - Level 1 Male Onix
Onix (Rock/Ground): Onix are large Pokémon, and are able to burrow through hard materials with their Dig attack easily (such as concrete).

Wiirn - Level 1 Female Cleffa
Cleffa (Fairy): As a baby, Cleffa lacks the shyness of its higher evolutions.

Kraal - Level 1 Male Whismur
Whismur (Normal): Whismur is completely immune to any sound-based attack, any sound based attack used by Whismur is 25% more effective then usual.
[Normal]: Normal types can use the greatest variety of attacks in the league: they pay for this, however, by having less type energy. In the ASB, Normal types take 100% damage from Ghost type moves.

Slyther - Level 1 Male Ekans
Ekans (Poison): An Ekans, while not as big as its evolution, is much quieter when moving. It may shake its rattle as an attack, which will make an opponent who hears and sees Ekans more hesitant to attack.
[Poison]: If not completely immune, poison types are highly resistant to poisoning.

Shakri - Level 1 Male Swinub
Swinub (Ice/Ground): Swinub are more resistant to cold than usual, and have an excellent sense of smell.
[Ice]: Ice Pokémon are highly resistant to cold, and love fighting in it. However, they hate hot temperatures, and will not fight as well.

Alright Zarbi, time to see how you do!

Hester, take to the skies! Let's make this an avian battle:

Mean Look to prevent escape, then Snarl! If the first mean look doesn't go as planned, replace Snarl with another Mean Look.

In return to his Mean Look, give him a Miracle Eye, and use your Psychic abilities to throw the vulture into an electrode.

The soft thrum of electricity fills the air. All around the steely grey floor of the Techno Field lay intermittent Electrode's, each of them chuckling to themselves as they spew Electric- type energy around them. Their jittery motions within their holdings threatening of an unhinged nature, their tendency to explode at random well known throughout the League. Their awkward noises almost resemble chattering, but all of a sudden everything goes silent, the air only filled with the faint static crackle of the Electrode. Two sets of footsteps ring loud and true, and two trainers come into sight, locking eyes with one another. Fleeting grins shoot across their face as they take their respective podiums, producing their first Pokeballs.

With a flourish, the first sphere is sent tumbling into the air. Spiraling into a neat apex, the orb abruptly clinks as the two halves separate, a groaning red energy reaching out from the innards of the device. Thrumming with power, the glaring red light dyes the entire arena in an identical hue, before two huge wings flicker into existence. Bursting the red coating his body, Zarbi screeches his arrival, the determined Xatu hovering in the air as he awaits his opponent. With a gruff note of acceptance, the opposing trainer finally hurls his own orb into the air, and with a similar show of resplendence, Hester opens his own wings wide, the vulture preparing to become the hunter.

The two combatants become locked in an awkward dance, flitting here and there as they try to feel one another out. Squawking into the air, Hester almost seems to mock his opponent's feeble attempts, his eyes shining with a zealous fury. Without warning, they become consumed by a raging blue light, the energy flickering and waning around the body of Zarbi. Locking eyes with his foe, Hester releases a triumphant caw as Zarbi begins to shudder randomly, the connection to his Pokeball severed utterly. Grumbling, Zarbi allows his own eyes to become dyed with power, this time the fleeting glow a deep pink. Hester in turn begins to caw in frustration as he feels his entire body fall prey to the analytic powers of his foe, and Zarbi clearly becomes emboldened by the events.

Continuing their wheeling dance, the pair of avian foes once more fall into the rhythmic circling of one another, neither willing to give ground to the other. Determined to strike the first blow, Hester forces Dark- type energy to bubble to the surface of his beak, enveloping it in a shroud of pitch energy. Opening his beak wide, he bays loudly into the air, the sharp tones sending energy pulsing attached to sound waves. Zarbi groans as his body begins to shudder, the attack washing over him and clearly causing him a great deal of pain. Huffing, the Xatu concentrates his Psychic energies around his foe, aiming to move her into the nearby Electrodes ... only to realise that, currently, Psychics are still really weirdly nerfed and can't move more than x1.5 their weight, so Hester is left untouched.

Hester has an early lead, both fresh.

Fly to dodge the Toxic, then Whirlwind to knock him all over the place. You're doing great so far, lass.

With our two avian combatants glaring at one another, the venom clear in their stares, Zarbi decides to take the enmity a step further. Filling his beak with dripping fluids, he hocks a viscous gob of toxic sludge towards Hester, whose face instantly pales at seeing the disgusting show. Beating his wide wings with a simple motion, he sails up and over the incoming projectile, sailing in a neat arc to slam into the body of his lighter foe. Knocked a few feet down, Zarbi protests loudly, before churning the air before him rhythmically. The thump thump beating of his wings gradually creates a swirling vortex before him, the construct glaring evilly towards Hester. With a purposeful swing of his ring wing, Zarbi careers the twister towards Hester, and the Mandibuzz is tossed aft to fore by the brutal force. Finally righting himself, Hester begins to pump the air with his muscular wings, and Zarbi finds himself buffeted into the ground, slamming into a nearby Electrode and screaming as his entire body is electrocuted.

Zarbi is still grounded, but his flight won't be affected and he'll be able to get right back up. Both good for two, with Hester extending his lead somewhat this round.

A disgruntled expression passes across the face of Hester, the Mandibuzz clearly perturbed by Zarbi's determined staying power. Opening her beak wide once again, she allows a writhing cloak of purest black to flicker into existence, encapsulating the entirety of her beak. Chuckling, Zarbi holds his wings wide apart from his body, a faint pink aura pulsing around him. Just as Hester unleashes his barking cry, Zarbi brings his wings crashing together, and a shimmering screen whines to life before him. Hester's eyes go wide as she realises her mistake, her attack blocked completely by the light before Zarbi, and her screech of frustration rings loud and true.

Beating her wide wings forcefully, Hester carries herself around the air, her beady eyes looking for some sort of weakness in her opponent's defence. Grunting with a haughty tone, she allows her beak to become consumed by a writhing black curtain once more, this time the energies building to a much louder crescendo. With an affirmative caw, the energy is sent streaming forwards, billowing into the screen before Zarbi and seeing it shatter utterly, though the Xatu is left unharmed by the blow. A look of horror passes across Hester's face, and Zarbi chuckles as he gathers a globular construct of pure Fairy- type energy. With a cry, the orb rushes to greet Hester, exploding over her chest and clearly causing her quite some pain.

Both are looking to be more or less tied for health now, and both are clearly tiring somewhat.

Beating her lengthy wings, Zarbi begins to churn the air around her. A faint gust at first, quickly building into a roaring crescendo, the turbulence fades somewhat before settling into a somewhat forceful breeze, blowing directly behind Zarbi. With a grunt, the Xatu takes to the air once more, and Hester immediately exposes the weakness. Spewing forth a Dark Pulse once again, the Mandibuzz caws with a triumphant glee as Zarbi is battered forcefully by the attack. The Xatu has the last laugh though, pausing in mid air to allow a crushing wave billow forth and break over the body of Hester.

Zarbi is around the midpoint now and looking pretty tired. Hester has a tenuous lead, but remains in front.

Teleport to dodge the Dark Pulse and get further away, then blast him with another Dazzling Gleam as he tries to close that distance for Feint Attack.

In a move of uninspired variety, Hester once again allows her beak to become consumed by raging black energies, firing a churning blast towards the spot where Zarbi is. With a flash of light, the Xatu disappears, appearing some distance away from the determined Mandibuzz. Grimacing, Hester wheels around, charging towards the exhausted looking Zarbi with an intense pace. Allowing her right wing to become consumed by a black cloak, she waves it through the air, drawing the attention of Zarbi. As the Xatu shifts his guard, Hester accelerates, slamming into her target and causing Zarbi to gasp with pain. Before summoning a pink sphere of energy again and striking with it.

Both look pretty much tied for health, but Zarbi is exhausted while Hester is good for two.

Sorry about the delay, Psychic Wave. Try your best to stay evasive with the Tailwind, and if he protects the Psychic, Confuse Ray.

I'm sorry but not sorry.

With Zarbi left panting, Hester decides to seize her advantage. Once again, her beak begins to crawl with a thickened black mass, the energies roiling and snapping until they reach a delirious crescendo. With a splitting of the air, a thick pulse of the pitch cloak rushes into the chest of Zarbi, the Xatu reeling away in pain as he begins to convulse. Squawking back at her opponent, Zarbi floods her body with masses of Psychic energy, launching a wave towards Hester and causing the Mandibuzz clearly pain. Before Hester fires another Dark Pulse. The variety!

Zarbi is unable to battle! Miror, your next Pokemon please.

Hester remains pretty good for two, but is looking rather scuffed up.

With Zarbi having finally fallen, the gigantic figure of Dulcian slithers into view, his cavernous maw opening as a rumbling bellow trickles from his throat. Locking eyes with Hester, his rocky hide quivers with power, before faint grey spheres begin to shiver into existence. His tail slamming against the ground rhythmically, Dulcian causes the faint spheres to become more defined, altering their shape until they resemble pointed stones. With a flick of his serpentine body, the Onix sends the rocks hurtling towards Hester, and the Mandibuzz screeches out as they pummel her body mercilessly, losing some altitude in the process. Grimacing, Hester opens her talons wide, channeling energy between the dextrous digits. Slowly, a faint blue construct groans into place, a bone of wide birth thrumming with Ground- type energy. Taking a careful aim, Hester swoops over the body of Dulcian, moving from tail to head as she batters the Onix with brutal strikes, the final one connecting with the jaw of the monumental Rock Snake, snapping his head to one side with a thudding impact. Roaring his disdain, Dulcian instantly moves to counter attack, repeating his earlier actions and guffawing with triumph as Hester finally falls from the air in defeat.

Hester is unable to battle! Extroph, your next Pokemon please.

Dulcian took a pretty stinging blow right off the bat, but otherwise looks nicely fresh.
