Mew UPN PASBL: ROFLMAO Vs. akaFila

Quote:
ROFLMAO (C) vs. akaFila (A)
Singles
3 mon squad only, hidden squad. (Stadium-style, choose three pokemon and send them to the ref instead of the usual six.)
Switch=KO
24 Hour DQ
Slapstick
Equilevel 1
Shifting Stadium would be nice, but the ref can change it if they would prefer.
Quote:
Shifting Stadium (Outdoor Custom Arena): A large stadium similar to Pummelo Stadium that shifts environments on a regular basis. It can simulate many more environments than Pummelo Stadium, however. The stadium shifts once every 4 or 5 rounds, to a random environment. The environments are:
Normal Stadium (10% chance): Not really an environment, but a normal stadium with the same rules as a Clay Arena. All battles must start with this environment.
Grass Field (10% chance): A grass field almost exactly like the Grass Field from the Indigo League in the Anime. In other words, all grass and nothing else.
Rock Field (10% chance): A Rock Field almost exactly like the Rock Field from the Indigo League. There are several Snorlax-sized boulders in this arena.
Water Field (10% chance): A Water Field almost exactly like the Water Field from the Indigo League. In other words, there are two Snorlax-sized platforms floating on the surface of the water, across from each other.
Ice Field (10% chance): An Ice Field similar to the Ice Field from the Indigo League, with a few very small glaciers around the arena.
Forest Fire (10% chance): A Forest Arena, except the forest is on fire, and the fire does spread quickly.
Beach (10% chance): A Beach Arena, but without all the volleyball nets and other things you might find at a beach, other than... well, the actual beach.
Snow-Capped Mountain (10% chance): A few enormous snow-capped mountains. They aren't very hard to climb for a Pokemon with sharp claws or Pokemon that can grip the ice, but other Pokemon will have some problems.
Swamp (10% chance): A Swamp Arena, with simulated fog. There is a fog machine somewhere in the arena, and the fog will become much less dense if the fog machine is destroyed.
Desert (10% chance): A vast desert, full of cacti. However, in most cases, it will be a desert without the extremely high temperatures.
One arena can be picked up to three times in a row, but an unlimited amount of times for the entire match.
Special Rules: Fog (Swamp only), Boulders (Rock Field only), Ice Field (Ice Field only), Water under Ice (Ice Field only), Pontoons (Water Field only), Sandy (Desert only), Snow Cover (Snow-Capped Mountain only), Thin Ice (Ice Field only), Stadium, Onlookers, Artificial Lighting, Announcer
Both of you know the order, so, let us begin!

The two trainers walk into the Shifting Stadium, the clay soft, but not quite slippery under their feet. The challenger this time is ROFLMAO, who undeniably sports one of the best avatars in the entirety of UPN. His opponent is akaFila, who I have refereed for before. Two trainers throw their Pokeballs into the air simultaneously, and two red flashes of light reveal their Pokemon for the match, Kirin the Girafarig, and Bacchus the Lotad.

Quote:
Girafarig (Normal/Psychic): Girafarig's head and tail are linked: thus, one head is not surprised unless they both are. The tail relies mostly on instinct, and will Bite at anything that comes near it, regardless of what it might be.
[Normal]: Normal types can use the greatest variety of attacks in the league: they pay for this, however, by having less type energy. In the ASB, Normal types take 100% damage from Ghost type moves.
[Psychic]: Psychics are considered to automatically be familiar with psychic abilities. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and toss Pokémon. If facing a non-bug, non-dark opponent, psychics can sense their opponent somewhat, making accuracy reducing attacks less effective.

Lotad (Grass/Water): Though able to swim and stay underwater for a fair amount of time, Lotad are not the best swimmers and prefer to stay near the surface of the water. Lotad are capable of restoring more health and energy then grass Pokémon normally get in the rain.
[Grass]: Grass types live anywhere that can support vegetation, though most prefer temperate to tropical climates. Grass types enjoy both bright sun and rain. Rainstorms will heal them slightly every round the rain falls.
[Water]: Water Pokémon are able to hold their breath and/or breathe under water. The time varies, from about half an hour to one hour for reptilians and mammals, and indefinitely for fish and squid like Pokémon. They are also, generally, good swimmers.
The Girafarig looks at her opponent with her innocent, gleaming eyes, her strength exceeding what one would expect, considering her appearance. The Lotad looks towards her from under his green, leafy cap, wary of the power of the larger Pokemon. Kirin almost immediately springs into action, her body remaining in a fixed position, as she releases weak, but numbing Waves of electricity towards her opponent. The Lotad decides to ignore his opponent for the time being, instead choosing to make the environment more suited to his taste before he gets to the meat of the matter. He starts spinning around, performing as intricate a Dance as he can with his tiny limbs. During this process, the electricity soon reaches him, making it progressively difficult for him to continue. His muscles seem to slow start locking up, his body appearing to betray him. Despite this obstacle, he manages to execute the move, the process more tiring than he had expected. The call to the heavens is answered through clouds darkening the sky and cloaking the Sun from view, gloominess, but also serenity overwhelming the arena. As Rain begins to fall, Bacchus cheers up. Although he is struggling to move, the arena is favouring him, the Lotad feeling at home.

As Kirin realizes that his opponent is struggling to move, she stops her move, satisfied by the effects. Deciding to debilitate her opponent in a more internal fashion this time, opening her mouth to reveal a fairly small amount of bright blue Psychic Type energy inside. Aiming to cause some Confusion, she releases a beam of the glowing energy towards her opponent, who fails to dodge despite his desperate attempts, clearly due to his paralysis. Bacchus' eyes grow wide as the attack reaches him; his mind is assaulted, dealing damage directly to the mind, which causes the Lotad to feel physical pain. As the attack fades away, the Water Type lets out a sigh of relief, glad to retain his mental stability. In retaliation, he decides to cripple his opponent in return. Although he struggles somewhat to open his mouth wide enough, he ultimatelt prevails, releasing a disgusting blob of sludge towards his opponent. The large opponent is not very difficult to aim at, and although Kirin attempts to sidestep, she ends up being covered by the Toxic substance. The poison soon starts to disappear, clearly making its way towards the Girafarig's bloodstream...

Although Kirin has not taken any damage, she is badly poisoned. The toxins shall soon act up. She is still fresh, however, and Electric Type energy can fuel a Thunderbolt.

Bacchus was the only one to take damage this round, but nothing serious. He is locked in paralysis, however. He is as fresh as ever, the rain making him enthusiastic.

Round 2: Paralysis Is Strange

The Girafarig feels the toxins spread throughout her body, a chill running down her spine. She is clearly feeling uneasy. Deciding to prevent any further harm directed towards herself, she concentrates her Psychic Type energy into a Screen, the shield that is soon formed glowing with dazzlingly bright pink Light. The barrier floats in front of the Girafarig, ready to block any attacks aimed towards him. However, Bacchus is confident enough in his abilities to not worry about this, instead deciding to attempt to break through the shield through sheer power. However, he struggles to move much, his attempts to shake a swarm of Razor-sharp Leaves towards his opponent a difficult task for him. Ultimately, he manages to send a few projectiles flying towards the shield... which fail to destroy it, due to the fact that they are not very concentrated physically. Kirin lets out a sigh of relief as she watches her opponent's attack fail to harm her, while Bacchus only grows more frustrated.

Finally deciding to go for direct offense, Kirin opens her mouth, soon collecting a fair amount of glowing, Bug Type energy inside. The Signals that gather are soon concentrated into a beautiful, multicoloured, shimmering sphere, from which a Beam shoots out towards the Lotad. Still unable to move much at all, the Lotad gets struck for another direct hit, letting out a cry of pain. However, to his relief, his paralysis seems to have been jolted out of his body by the attack. Deciding to exact his revenge, the Lotad runs towards his opponent as fast as his tiny feet can carry him, although his opponent is prepared for this eventuality. The Lotad attempts to leap into the air, intending to Slam down on his opponent with his Body, and managing to crash through the shield, shattering it... before barely striking Kirin. The Girafarig does not seem too hurt at all, the Lotad being too light.

Kirin retains her lead. Bug Type energy is running low, however.

Bacchus is starting to lag behind in terms of health. However, he is doing just fine for energy.

Round 3: Typespam

Bacchus looks at his opponent, his eyes seeming somewhat ominous from under his cap. Interestingly, while the Lotad has always been somewhat proficient with fire, he decides to go for an attack of the inverse. Opening his mouth, he takes a deep, but quick breath, charging the air with some Icy energy, before blowing out a chilly Wind towards his opponent. The Girafarig attempts to charge up a large amount of electricity around herself, but she fails to do so in time, the bone-chilling gust reaching her, and causing her to shiver somewhat. She manages to maintain her concentration, however, as sparks start flying all around her body. She proceeds to release countless Bolts of energy towards her opponent, the resulting shock dealing quite some damage. Bacchus cringes out of the pain, his body left crackling with Thunder. However, fortunately for him, a quick stretch of his limbs reveals that he has managed to escape paralysis this time. He shakes off the damage, clearly ready for more, much to the disappointment of Kirin.

The Lotad grunts, knowing that he has to turn things around in some way. His opponent's somewhat shaky demeanour indicates that the toxins are growing stronger, making the Girafarig feel more and more sick. Deciding that offense is the best defense, the Lotad opens his mouth, and spews out a large amount of Grass Type energy, which he quickly concentrates into several Seed-like projectiles, shooting them towards his opponent afterwards. The spheres arc up in the air, Kirin making no attempt to evade them this time, as they crash down upon her and explode like Bombs. The attack leaves Kirin's thin feet staggering, but she soon regains her balance, and starts to retaliate. She raises her forefeet off the ground, and starts waving them wildly, while also blowing hard from her mouth, ultimately managing to whip up a powerful Wind. As her hooves strike the air, the sheer momentum compresses parts of the air into Razor-sharp projectiles, which are soon launched towards Bacchus. The super effective attack devastates the Grass Type, who lets out a cry of pain, as he struggles to not be blown off his feet by the air.

Bacchus is out of the first third of health. He would appreciate a breather. Ice Type energy is abundant.

Kirin is, comfortably, still in her first third of health. However, like her opponent, she would not mind a breather. Both Electric and Flying Type energy are out.

Round 4: Energy Stall Incoming?

The Girafarig is panting slightly. She knows that exerting herself too much will only prove counterproductive in the end, and decides to take it somewhat easy. With the rain pelting her body not being particularly pleasant for her, she decides to make the Day turn Sunny once again. She tilts her head towards the sky, white, typeless energy gathering inside her mouth, before she shoots a thin beam of bright white light towards the sky. The shine pierces the dark clouds, causing them to start moving away, and slowly reveal the Sun. Bacchus is clearly not happy with this sudden loss of rain, and decides to punish his opponent appropriately. Seeing this moment to strike, he quickly opens his mouth, glowing, greenish Energy being concentrated into a powerful Ball in front of it. With the strength of the Grass Type, the sphere is launched towards Kirin, who is taken by surprise. As the orb strikes her feet, it explodes, causing her to lose her balance and fall down to the ground. However, she quickly gets back to her feet, ready for more.

Although this does not help ease her tiredness much at all, Kirin decides to go for an attack weaker than the usual, knowing that using a powerful one at this point can tire her out very quickly, which may have disastrous consequences. She repeats a familiar move, opening her mouth and collecting glowing, bluish Psychic Type energy inside it, before shooting a beam towards her opponent in an attack to cause some Confusion. As the energy strikes the Lotad, his mind is overwhelmed with agony, although he manages to endure it just fine. In retaliation, Bacchus decides to make up for the rain by draining his opponent's energy instead, creating a Seed of Grass Type energy, and shooting it towards the opponent. As the move strikes Kirin, vines suddenly grow from the tiny projectile, covering a part of the Girafarig's body, and starting to Leech away her strength.

Kirin is still panting, especially due to the drain. She would appreciate a more fulfilling breather. She has taken somewhat more damage this round.

Bacchus has managed to close his opponent's lead slightly, but is hovering at about the half mark for health.

Body Slam down on top of them to cease their synthesis and rid yourself of the seed too. Then stomp him into the clay.

Round 5: Stall Vs. Strength

The Lotad is weakening, lagging behind his opponent in terms of health. It is clear that if he fails to turn the tides soon, he shall never be able to do so. Deciding to restore his strength so that he can last longer, the Grass Type starts drawing upon the power of the Sun to perform Synthesis of health for himself. The leaf on top of his head starts to absorb sunlight at a swift pace, the restorative effects of the move starting to ease his pain almost immediately. However, it is not to last. Fighting against her pants, Kirin rushes towards her opponent and leaps as high into the air as possible, pushing down with her Body weight, as she slams down upon the Lotad. Bacchus lets out a cry of pain, his concentration interrupted, as he feels his opponent's heavy mass crash against him. He ends up pinned down, struggling to move, but in vain. Kirin grins, clearly pleased that she has her opponent down. However, the vines continue to cling to her, although somewhat damaged.

Kirin is not content, yet, however. Despite the fact that she is quickly tiring herself out, she continues to attack, raising one of her strong, hooved feet, and proceeds to smash them down on her opponent's head as hard as possible. Bacchus is unable to resist cringing under the pressure, clearly being much more battered than at the start of this round, although the transfer of energy from his opponent seems to ease his situation somewhat.

Bacchus has dropped to his last third of health. However, he is fresh.

Kirin is panting hard, and would require an actual breather. She only took damage from the toxins, however.

Round 6: The End Is Not Near

Suddenly, the Clay Arena starts to disappear, a sea of sand, overlooking the ocean appearing instead. It would appear that destiny has chosen the Beach Arena to be the next destination of this battle. Kirin is panting, and is in clear need of a breather. With the parasitic plant draining her strength, she is having more and more trouble keeping up with his opponent in terms of energy. Despite this, she is not going to give up just yet. She gets off her opponent in order to get herself some space to repeat a familiar attack... and then promptly leaps back upon him. As Bacchus feels his opponent's weight Slam against him, her Body being much larger, he cannot help but gasp, his eyes widening, before the pain knocks the wind out of him. He squirms and struggles, but his opponent is too difficult for him to get off himself. Kirin makes sure to keep him underneath tightly, determined to prevent her opponent from escaping.

Bacchus, however, realizes that although he cannot get out of under his opponent through sheer physical strength, he can force her away with a world of pain. He starts to draw power from the Sun once again, but this time, he utilizes the Solar energy to charge an offensive maneuver, his leaf starting to glow a bright white. Suddenly, Kirin starts to feel as if her underside his burning, and sure enough, Bacchus shoots a Beam towards her from his leaf at point blank range. The attack knocks the Girafarig away, Kirin quickly retreating in an attempt to avoid taking more damage. However, the Lotad refuses to allow this, soon starting to prepare the same attack once again. His leaf grows hot, starting to let out a dazzling light, before the Solar energy is concentrated into a powerful Beam. Aiming at the Girafarig, who is trying to catch her breath, the Lotad releases another Beam towards her. Too sluggish to dodge, Kirin's health lead is closed somewhat.

Kirin is at about the half mark in terms of health. However, she has been refreshed.

Bacchus is doing fine for energy, but has only fallen further in terms of health.

I don't see how using two solar beams wouldn't make something tired, but w/e.

Astonish to shock him out of the Surf. Then once he starts charging Solarbeam, stomp him into the sand to halt his charge.

Solar Beam takes lower energy when used by a Grass Type. It will not make them tired in the same way two Energy Balls will not do so.

Refereeing coming soon!

Round 7: So, "Soon" Turns Out To Be Over Four Hours

The new arena is making the Lotad feel more at home, even though he is not particularly excellent at swimming. Deciding to manipulate his surroundings to his advantage, the Lotad starts to will the water behind him in order to rise above, and take the form of a large wave that can be Surfed upon. The attack turns out to be more effective than expected, the arena aiding it. However, Kirin wants anything but getting hit by the attack, instead choosing to interrupt it with all she has got. She lunges towards her opponent, already being fairly close to him, and strikes him for some tiny damage. However, this surprising attack proves to be enough to startle the Lotad, his concentration breaking apart, as the water drops back into the ocean, and it soon seems as if nothing has happened this round.

The Lotad soon recovers from the attack, however, ready to strike right back. He repeats an attack that is now all too familiar for his opponent, starting to draw power from the Sun again, the burning, virtually inexhaustible source of energy soon showing its immense strength, the Lotad's leaf heating up and starting to glow once again. However, Kirin is not going to let this strike her this time. Raising one of her hooved feet, she proceeds to Stomp on her opponent as harshly as possible, driving Bacchus body into the sand due to her sheer weight advantage. However, this causes the Lotad's attack to be released prematurely, a Beam of the powerful Solar energy striking her hoof, and sending a jolt of pain throughout her body. She cringes and immediately recoils, intending to retreat for now. However, to add insult to injury, the toxins just strike again, their strength constantly increasing.

Kirin is down to about her last third of health, but can still win this. She is doing fine in terms of energy.

The interrupted attack means that Bacchus has been refreshed, but he is down to critical health range. He is not going to last long.
