ROUND 1

Waiting impatiently on his podium, the young (and don't forget handsome) referee checks his watch every other minute. The two trainers should be here by now, but it seems that they're too busy fussing about something again. The referee knew these two trainers, and is even friends with both of them. In fact, he just came back from battling MMS himself!

After 10 more minutes of waiting, Saph and MMS walk in, clearly spewing out some friendly trash talk before taking their respective places on opposite sides of the sandy arena. The referee clears his throat loudly before giving MMS a thumbs up. The seasoned trainer smirks and sends out a small Fairy Pokemon, with large jaws that hang back from its round head.

[Fairy]: Fairys are slightly more adept at support moves than most Pokémon and use slightly less energy to perform them. Fairies prefer natural environments and will fight more enthusiastically there. Any attack used by a Fairy type which manipulates the environment is slightly more effective owing to the magical energies involved and attacks which boost allied Pokémon is slightly more effective at providing a buff. Fairies dislike fighting in urban environments.
[Steel]: Steel types, like rock types, have hard bodies, making them resistant to unskilled physical blows, and sink in water. While not bothered by water to the degree rock types are, they still would rather fight out of the water. Unlike rock types, most steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones.
Height: 1'11.6" | 0.6 m
Weight: 25.4 lb | 11.5 kg
The Mawile sways back and forth, challenging the trainer in front of her, who is now rummaging through his backpack to find his own Pokemon. "Ah, here it is!" Saph exclaims, before throwing the Pokeball in the air, releasing a small Steel Pokemon that buzzes playfully.

Being inorganic, Magnemite cannot be affected by Poison in any way, unlike other Steel types who could be affected if the Poison is ingested internally.
[Electric]: Electric types, in general, prefer areas where their electric attacks are most accurate. Thus, while hot temperatures donft bother them, the fact that heat refracts electricity doesnft appeal to them.

The Magnemite performs an aerial show of some sort, hoping to prove itself a worthy opponent for the Mawile. Mawile, however, just glares at it expressionlessly. She awaits her trainer's orders professionally, and remains motionless.

The referee gives both sides a thumbs up, and receives their thumbs up back. After a dramatic pause, he bellows one loud "Go" to mark the start of the round.

The two trainers send forth their orders, and the two Pokemon respond accordingly. Dentem starts with her simple yet effective body language, showing the oh-so analytical Magnemite that she doesn't think of it as a worthy opponent for her. Magnemite takes note of this, and is angered, completely ignoring the Reflect order that its trainer called out. Covered in a fit of rage, the Magnemite hurries to complete his second order. With a quick charge of Steel energy, Magnemite unleashes a bright beam that flashes across the arena with frightening speed. The impact explodes on Mawile's large metallic jaw, which then creates a sound as loud as a cannon fire. Although she took the damage head on, Dentem follows through with her trainer's order, returning to her Pokeball while leaving a baton of energy on the sandy floor. In replacement, a fiery monkey comes out from MMS' side. The Monferno picks up the energy baton, causing it to disappear as she does.

"Dentem took a hit this round, but is now replaced by a completely fresh Simmer. Magnemite remains perfect in health, but used up some energy. It's also quite angry now, and would less likely follow non-attacking moves. Both Simmer and Magnemite are fresh for next round."

ROUND 2

If a Pokémon would reasonably be afraid of Monferno, said Pokémon will be slightly less effective in battle. The members of Chimchar line are extremely good climbers, allowing them to scale most walls and surfaces and swing from vines and branches with ease. The Chimchar line also gets a boost in the power of its Fire attacks when low in health.
[Fire]: Fire types love hot temperatures. Most can survive in hot liquids/molten lava for an extended period of time (indefinitely in the case of Magby, Magmar, Slugma and Magcargo). If a fire Pokémon has a flame somewhere on its body, it will take extra damage if a water attack hits the flame. Otherwise, fire Pokémon are not adversely affected by taking dips in bodies of water, so long as the time is short (except for the above 4 Pokémon, who will take damage the longer they are in the water). Instead of being automatically 2x weak to Water, they take 150% of the damage if hit on their bodies, but take 210+% if hit on open flames.
[Fighting]: Fighting Pokémon train extensively, more than any other Pokémon type, which gives them slightly greater endurance and energy.
Height: 2'11.4" | 0.9 m
Weight: 48.5 lb | 22.0 kg
The Monferno grins slyly at the Magnemite as the dex entry was being read aloud, sending mechanical chills down Magnemite's nonexistent spine. Twitching slightly, Magnemite shifts uneasily in the air as it faces the Monferno. Just as long as Monferno stays away from it, it'll be fine...

Simmer bends her knees slowly, preparing a fist hidden behind her, away from Magnemite's view. With one big leap, Monferno soars rapidly toward the Magnemite in under a second. The punch is revealed at just the right time, slamming into Magnemite and causing it to spin helplessly in the air. As it spun, Magnemite covered itself with Electric energy until it regained control. All the while, Simmer landed on the sandy terrain, and began to charge up a large fire type move to punish Magnemite with. As soon as Magnemite recovered, the electric energy is released, bouncing on the Monferno before returning to Magnemite with enough energy to send it back to the Pokeball. Just as Chatot is released from the Pokeball, Simmer unleashes the gigantic Fire Blast, striking the newcomer at such a close range before it could even observe what was going on. The Chatot squawks in pain as the blast sears her pecks' feathers, leaving a nasty burn.

"Simmer used up a lot of energy this round, but can still use a two-mover next round. She took a hit, but is looking good in terms of health. Chatot is burned on the chest, and has taken a hefty hit before she could even make her debut."

ROUND 3

Dammit guys, these switches are killing me x.x

Chatot, having been burned by the Fire Blast, is quite enraged already. She starts chattering in Chatot-talk, which takes the form of Flying energy, harming the Monferno greatly. Simmer could not make out what Chatot is saying, but she's trying her best to decipher the nagging while trying to block out the noise at the same time. Chatot finally calmed down with her nagging, but Simmer is left confused.

Simmer tries to concentrate on Chatot, but suddenly there were four other Chatots in front of him. He stomps on the soft sand, which is followed up by small rumbling from underneath. Then, a slab of rock surfaces from underneath Simmer, who then gives it an expert hit, breaking it into pieces. The rocks fly toward Chatot's area, but misses the target slightly, hitting only the Chatot's right wing. Chatot, furious once more, begins her banter, the chatter causing Simmer great discomfort. After enduring the nagging, Simmer decided that she could not take it anymore. Coating herself with Bug energy, Simmer charges toward Chatot and slams the Chatot on the chest, irritating the burn. Chatot squawks and hopes to nag at Simmer once more, but it seems that Simmer was long gone. Dentem stares at the Chatot from afar, ready to take on the new opponent.

"Simmer took quite some damage this round, as did Chatot. Chatot and Dentem are fresh in terms of energy."

ROUND 4

The round kicks off with a completely refreshed Dentem swaying with finesse to make her jaws face the Chatot. The jaw started to glow a bright blue on the inside, before ejecting a straight beam of ice that spear toward the Chatot's wings. The beam formed some frost around the Chatot's feathers, causing the bird to slowly sink to the ground awkwardly as she flaps her wings to rid of the ice. Finally regaining her flight, she yells once more. Her voice booms across the arena, as if heightened by a speaker, causing some discomfort for the Mawile. However, Dentem remains in a solid position, looking back at the Chatot with her jaws ready to pry open any time. Chatot, noticing that the Mawile is not going to attack soon, decides to U-Turn by coating herself with Bug energy. The Chatot bounces at the Mawile's jaw with great speed before being summoned inside her Pokeball once more. Mawile, after being struck by the U-Turn, runs after the Chatot, and opens her jaw. As she closes, a different yelp could be heard. Turning around, it seems that she has bit into a completely new opponent.

"Chatot took a lot of damage that round, nearing her final third of health already. That's the price of switching out constantly guys. Anyway, Mawile is still looking fresh on both fronts, as is Porygon. Porygon, obviously, leads in terms of health, but only slightly.

Word of warning for Saph: You can only use Chatot, Porygon, and Magnemite for the remainder of this match.

Word of warning for MMS: You can still pick one more Pokemon from your squad to use, but don't forget that you have already brought out two Pokemon."

((I'm back cuties x] ))

ROUND 5

Facing yet another new Pokemon, it would seem that Mawile would be quite overwhelmed. Instead, she just stands motionless as usual, her large jaw barely swaying back and forth. The Porygon floats a little bit above the ground, rotating its 'legs' in a continuous motion. In one go, the two trainers yell out their orders for this round, and the two Pokemon swing into motion. Pulling back with great finesse, the Porygon charges up a good amount of electric energy around it. As he pushed forward slightly, the electric charge begins to take the shape of tendrils and heads toward Dentem. Dentem, who was charging forward at this time, halts her approach, and sets up a large protective bubble. The tendrils pass by the bubble and crackles cowardly on the ground, disappearing instantly. Dentem wastes no time, dispelling her bubble and closes the distance between her and Porygon once more. The Porygon, unwavering even after its first attack failed, begins another attack. With yet another charge of energy, it releases three thin beams from where its mouth could be (I don't think they have mouths though). The beams find their way toward Dentem, who was struck directly on the body, pushing her back and down on the ground. However, as she gets back up, it seems that she got through the worst of it without being punished with a status. Brushing off the sand, she continues forward, concentrating large amounts of Fighting energy toward both her fists. With one swing, her right fist makes contact with Porygon's left side, throwing the Porygon down on the ground as her fist explodes. As soon as Porygon regained its senses to float once more, she greets it with her other fist, this time directed at the Porygon's face. The round ends with Porygon heavily battered, but refusing to give up as it takes flight once more.

Dentem needs to take a break from all that energy usage. Sheesh. Porygon used less energy and doesn't need a break, but he was pushed right at the halfway mark already in health. Electric energy can still provide a little bit more attacks for Porygon, but Dentem's Fighting energy is gone.

ROUND 6

Dentem rushes forward, arms loosened and body tilted forward. Her dash toward the Porygon was quick and easy due to the short distance between them. Then, with one strained swing, she turns a 180 degree turn, clamping her jaw down at the Porygon as she does. Yelping, the Porygon tries to squirm away, but the large metal clamp was locked in place. Then, upon hearing its trainer's orders, Porygon shifted slightly to face the main part of the jaw, and fires a chilly beam of ice straight inside. Although she tries her best to resist the damage, she could not help but ease the pressure of the jaw due to the pain inflicted. Then, another attack came to pound on her inner jaw, causing her to whimper and let go of the grip. It seems that a burn has developed inside her jaw, and Dentem's annoyed expression makes it clear that it'll be uncomfortable for her to clamp her future opponents now. The Porygon could not help but express joy as it breaks free, sneaking a small twirl as he floats away from the Mawile.

Dentem took some damage there, but it was still not enough to break her lead in health. Porygon dipped to its final third. While Dentem took a nice break, Porygon is left huffing and puffing, and may need a break itself.

ROUND 7

Dentem clearly does not appreciate the fact that Porygon escaped her deadlock. However, she seems to have a rather friendly vibe to her this round. She approaches the Porygon, who was eagerly backing up away from her while charging a move. The energy condenses near its mouth area before being unleashed as a triple beam once more, striking the approaching Mawile right on the body. Staggering slightly, Dentem realizes that the attack did not induce any other effects, thus smiling once more. She approaches the Porygon with a gleeful facade, poking and tickling at the Code Pokemon. However, it seems like after every tickle and poke... she jabs her elbows right onto him. Tickle tickle laugh laugh JAB. Tickle tickle tickly HEADBUTT. This goes on for a while until Porygon's thrashed state was visible. Then, she stops the playfulness (which Porygon knew was not the case, I mean, c'mon they've been hitting each other senselessly for many rounds now). Porygon was allowed a sigh of relief from the onslaught, but then she closes in to 'play' once more.

Porygon was... beaten up in the cutest way possible. Its health is now approaching critical, but energy use was good. It can now provide a two mover the next round. Dentem reached the halfway mark in health, and can also use a two-mover.
