Lucario UPN PASBL - Gym Match: Firewater VS. Sneezey12

Well this should be fun and not depressingly one-sided at all.

The Nameless Gym
Having defeated Kairne's guard of the Bug Gym forever ago, Sneezey is finally using the instant Gym match slot gained from his victory. Not against Stu, that glorious paragon of all things afro having retired from the League, but against a more recently-appointed Gym Leader. Firewater is his target, and with his Steel-types having lost a couple of resistances in the last few months they're looking ripe for the taking. Will the Leader's defence stand firm against such an onslaught? Maybe it would help if their home had a name.

“Gym”
Soon afterwards, you finish walking down the path, and you walk into a small quarry. Allowing you to see the assembly lines, caked with dust, the inert furnaces, some with a bit of ash or coal still sitting in them, or even the few pieces of rock and material litters the floor. However, after a few more minutes, a doorway appears, and the entire area inside looks much, much newer than the rest of the building, in fact you hear something crash down as you stare at the arena itself, which is under an awning of strong rock, as a shelter to protect the workers from the elements, and you take a good look inside.

The arena is relatively large, as there are many jagged rocks strewn throughout the rock, though apparently only the sides look well mined, the ground appearing completely impenetrable, except for the strongest of Pokémon to be able to meld, or dig into it. The ceiling isn’t, and Pokémon can summon rock based attacks from the ceiling, though there will always be a small risk of a small rock slide occurring each time this occurs. Also, with the building being within high mountain peaks, it’s cold. Very cold. Cold to the point where Fire attacks take slightly more energy to use, as many Pokémon will often struggle to continue to control their body heat, and will be loath to lose it in the high altitudes and frosty atmosphere. Even then, there are complementary blankets, jackets, what have you for the faint of heart trainers to wear, and to administer to their fallen comrades. The lighting is quite strong and quite bright, preventing most forms of trickery or illusions to fail, as well as having the correct technological fixes to ensure that even ghost Pokémon will remain solid at all times. The rock, though well mined is still quite strong, meaning that attacks built from it, such as Stealth Rocks are incredibly durable, and will take more energy or strength to shatter or disrupt.
A squad from the Gym Leader to start us off, if you please.

Because it got cut off when I copied and pasted everything. The arena's called The Furnace Dave.

Anyway, for seriousness, welcome to the Forge Sneaze, I'm sure that with battling yet another top 5 trainer in the league that not only will make The Furnace stronger, but myself as well. Also, I hope you'll enjoy your experience here, and with that...

Team FW let's go!

of course bringing these fine badges,

The Smelting Badge:
Attachable Badge
The Smelting Badge shows a Pokémon’s ability to be involved with their environment, and the strength of the minerals and other materials that have created the world we live in today. By defeating the gym leader and his Pokémon that are so engaged with the world around them, a victorious opponent gains a powerful tool. Any Pokémon that welds this badge has the ability to passively regenerate energy over time. This badge only restores a light amount of energy per turn, and caps at 1.5 Hyper Beams of energy regenerated.

Mozz Badge
Global Badge
When used, all Pokémon on trainer's team will have one minor type have double the energy as it usually would have. A "minor type" is defined as one that is not the Pokémon's primary or secondary type, and the Pokémon has at least 1 but no more than 4 offensive, damage dealing moves of said type. This includes all possible moves that the Pokémon knows, so this includes event moves, added moves via signature trainings, et al. The trainer may select the type for each Pokémon when they are first sent out. If no type satisfies the badge requirements, the type with the least known moves MUST be chosen. This does not increase total energy.

Harvester's Token:
The Harvester's Token denotes one's prowess in caring for and farming the bounties of nature. It can be attached to Grass-type Pokémon only and greatly enhances their natural abilities. Rain will heal them by a mild amount each round, sunlight will regenerate them mild energy each round, healing moves cost half their usual energy cost and draining moves are much more efficient. This token may be purchased during the week long Thanksgiving event and may be purchased up to one time per trainer.

Special Operations Permanent Headcrushing Implemented Experiment (S.O.P.H.I.E.): Level 6 Genderless Metagross
Metagross - (Steel/Psychic): Metagross may levitate itself a short distance above the ground by expending minor energy for each round it remains levitated. Being inorganic, Metagross cannot be affected by Poison in any way, unlike other Steeltypes who could be affected if the Poison is ingested internally.
Steel-types, like Rock-types, have hard bodies and sink in water. While not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are, they still would rather fight out of the water. Unlike Rock-types, most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones.
Psychics are considered to automatically be familiar with psychic abilities. Thus, they can use Psychic to move and toss Pokémon. If facing a non-Bug, non-Dark opponent, Psychics can sense their opponent somewhat, making accuracy reducing attacks less effective.

Bio: Sophie was once a worker at a steel plant that developed, along with other things, barbed wire and other sharp things. In fact she was so successful with this development that she made her company millions of dollars and became a household name. When she retired, she refined her abilities, and eventually became able to form the material and even control it with her powers.

Signature Move: Barbed Wire (Steel/Typeless)
Sophie uses some of her Steel energy reserves to form an incredibly strong fence of barbed wire around the field. This crashes into the opponent for Decent damage, but it is all depending on the softness of the opponent. When the wire fence crashes into the foe, similarly to regular barbed wire, the barbs with cut and scratch into the opponent, dealing more damage depending on the toughness of the skin. The harder the skin, the less effective the wires are to their target, depending on Ref's discretion. The Steel energy allows it to strike ghosts or other transparent beings as well. Energy use is equivalent to Stealth Rock.
Explaination: it's a Stealth Rock that's based on the "Softness" of the opponent, so Rocks/Steels/inorganics/things like Muk and Ditto would resist, Pokes with fur, direct skin, or generally no shielding would take increased damage.
Hidden Power: Ice
Attached Badge: Smelting Badge

Thomas Edison: Level 5 Male Empoleon
Bio: Thomas Edison managed to train for a long period of time. Such a long period of time that when he returned, he was totally different. Confused by his actions, we all had to ask, and found that he had trained in the Salt Lake area, where the salt content was incredibly high, and as a result, it changed him quite a bit. His water attacks seemed more painful, more direct to the core, but as he explained, he mentioned how the massive amounts of salt in the area had affected his water attacks, his ability to live, and even how it affected his relationships with other water types that are not from the area. Eventually, through a strict diet, we managed to fix the worst parts of the massive salt content that he had to endure, and it made him stronger.

Signature Ability: Saltwater (Water)
As a result of his trials and tribulations, Thomas Edison managed to survive the salt intake and the damage it did to his body. As a result, his water attacks, due to the salt intake deal 2x damage to other water types. On the downside, Rock types take resisted damage from his water attacks. He also forgets how to use Grass attacks, Hydro Cannon, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Hyper Beam, Yawn, and all of his attacks that restore Health or Energy to him
Hidden Power: Flying

Female Mawile:
Bio: Mawile was also a Pokémon of mine who wished to work in human professions that were different than the usual bit, namely she was an assistant to a physical therapist. She learned a lot from her training, not only in how to heal others, but how muscles, joints and other vital parts of the human and Pokémon body were able to work and function. When she decided to join me, it was then that she learned how to use her knowledge of the body to damage her foes in battle, as well as how she would contain unruly patients. However, ever since finding her fairy typing, she's decided to use the light show to subdue foes, instead of the drugs.

Signature Attack: Sparkles (Fairy)

Mawile can now use Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast, as she uses the light and energy a way to subdue her patients when she is not battling, in a way that doesn't cause debilitating addictions to painkillers.

Lucario Male

Bio: Lucario was, from a young age very into fighting to train the be the very best fighter that he could be, rather using his complex speed and flexibility to confuse foes. However, this changed when he evolved. While he was stronger physically, he started to loathe his harder, tougher body, not finding it flexible enough to meet his needs on the battlefield. As a result, he started taking more and more classes to reduce these needs, all of his efforts motivated by his constant dealings with Earthquakes and other ground moves. Eventually he got it, he managed to overcome his challenges, and while he reached the motivation, or the body speed and flexibility that he always wanted, we all found that he'd indirectly given up something else, some of the incredible mental power that he had also owned throughout his life. He still lives, happily, but a regret remains in his mind, causing his mental strength to be somewhat weaker than most Lucario's...

Signature Ability: Trading the Mind for the Matter (Steel)
Lucario now takes neutral damage to Ground energy. However, his Aura abilities are not quite as powerful as other Lucario's, and as a result, he has a harder time locating other pokemon with his aura abilities. And his ability to dodge attacks with his eyes closed is also reduced by 50% of its normal efficiency. He also takes 2x weakness to Psychic attacks as a result.

Briars: Level 5 Male Ferrothorn

Ferrothorn: (Grass/Steel) - Like its prevolution, Ferrothorn is covered in large spines. Physical attacks dealt to it are likely to cause some decent recoil. Ferrothorn moves with the aid of its three vines, able to use them much like arms or claws to move or attack. They can also be used to stick to ceilings or other horizontal surfaces.
Grass-types live anywhere that can support vegetation, though most prefer temperate to tropical climates. Grass-types enjoy both bright sun and rain. Rainstorms will heal them slightly every round the rain falls.
Steel-types, like Rock-types, have hard bodies and sink in water. While not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are, they still would rather fight out of the water. Unlike Rock-types, most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones.

Bio: Briars lived in some awesome caves, and he learned how to use the rocks to protect himself and his friends. However, he did have an aptitude to store the rocks he broke, as if he was trying to clean up the caves that he lived in. While doing this, while bored he used to practice throwing them about, in order to entertain himself As a result, he's learned some new attacks.

Signature Ability: Rock Collector
Ferrothorn is strong enough to break rocks with its... arm things, either way, he broke enough of them to figure out how to use them for battle, he can now use Stone Edge, and has the type energy to use it three times a battle.
Attatched Badge: Harvester's Token
Hidden Power: Flying

Mantle: Level 5 Male Steelix
Steelix: (Steel/Ground) - Steelix are large Pokémon, and are able to burrow through hard materials with their Dig attack easily (such as concrete). They are also more resistant to extreme pressures. Steelix can see in the dark.
Steel-types, like Rock-types, have hard bodies and sink in water. While not bothered by water to the degree Rock-types are, they still would rather fight out of the water. Unlike Rock-types, most Steel Pokémon prefer cold temperatures to hot ones.
Ground Pokémon are considered to be immune to electricity while standing on the ground. If a Ground Pokémon is in the air, they take 75% the normal damage from Electric attacks. If a Ground-type is wet, Electric attacks affect it normally (unless the Pokémon is naturally wet/slimy, like Quagsire).
Bio: Mantle and his family lived deep underground, and I do mean deeply underground. In fact, when I found him he was not used to the reduced pressure and was in fact ill with pain and confusion when he reached the surface. However, it wasn't until I started to use him that I realized how much his family's life within the deepest, darkest parts of the earth's crust had truly shaped him, or at least how he lived his life.

Signature Ability: Pressurized (Rock/Ground)
Mantle lived deep underground, so deep that the pressure toughened his body, made him stronger, and his ability to use his Rock and Ground attacks to their highest potential, due to how his environment forced him to be able to shift the earth in high amounts of pressure. As a result, Mantle's ability to shift the earth is quite legendary, as he can summon rocks from all terrain within reason. Due to his life underground, it's appeared that he retains virtually the same amount of Rock energy reserves that he owned as a Onix. The problem is that he can't use Fire or Electric, or Poison moves, having never been exposed to them as a young Onix.
Hidden Power: Grass

Lucarionite
Allows Lucario to Mega Evolve.
Attached to Emlyn the Lucario

Silver Wing Token
Bestowed upon the winner of the Winter Whirl Cup. The attached pokemon is allowed to be one evolutionary stage higher than they would otherwise be at their current level.
Attached to Yo Momma the Snorlax

R-66Y aka "Robo": Genderless Golurk (level 6)
Bio: R-66Y hails from a time period from the distant future, brought back by crazy science magic portals or whatever. His parts were in disrepair when found, and had to be replaced - save for one thing - his optic sensors. These advanced optics allow him to see weaknesses that his opponent may be trying to cover up, thus allowing him to exploit them.
Hidden Power: Grass
Special Training: Analyze
Any moves used by R-66Y do not have their type effectiveness modifiers changed by sigs that would otherwise effect them. This goes both ways, meaning that a normally super effective move made neutral, or simply weakened, would still do full damage, however an immunity made neutral would remain immune, and so on. Thus, a Scizor sigged to take 300% damage from Fire attacks would still take the normal 400%, and a Lucario sigged to take 100% damage from Steel attacks would still take the normal 50%. R-66Y cannot use Double Team, Substitute, Protect, Safeguard, or Magic Coat.

Emlyn: Female Lucario (level 6)
Biography: Well trained in the art of fighting, Emlyn is no stranger to the idea that one must remain collected in order to defeat their foes. With many trickster foes capable of throwing minds out of whack with their multitude of mind altering attacks, Emlyn has focused on turning these tricks against their users for her own advantage.
Hidden Power: Bug
Special Attack: Infinity Strike (Fighting)
Emlyn closes her eyes and focuses her mind to clear it of all negative thoughts and return herself to her original mental state. Following this, Emlyn charges energy into her arms and strikes open palm with both hands. The strikes is rather forceful, and can cause foes of Emlyn's size or smaller to be sent backwards a way. The strike is charged with the energy used to clear the mind, normally dealing good damage, however, if the attack has successfully cleared any negative condition from Emlyn's mind, the attack deals considerable damage. Infinity Strike uses solid energy and can be used twice per battle.

Yo Momma: Female Snorlax (level 6)
Biography: Yo Momma so fat...
Hidden Power: Dragon
Special Attack: Momma's Kiss (Fairy)
Yo Momma goes to give the opponent a kiss, but she's so dumb she takes a bite out of them instead. The strength of the bite is dependent on the weight of the Pokemon, as Yo Momma will more enthusiastically attempt to eat heavier Pokemon. Momma's Kiss starts out as only doing Mild damage, but for every 100 pounds the opponent weighs it does an additional Mild damage, capping out at Extreme after 400 pounds. The move doesn't scale progressively, only jumps up at every 100 pounds, meaning it'll do the same amount of damage to a 100 pound Pokemon as it will to a 199 pound Pokemon. Momma's Kiss uses Significant Fairy energy and Yo Momma may only use it once per match.

Primordus: Male Dragonite (level 6)
Biography: The first Elder Dragon to rise from his slumber, his body produces such heat that some species built cities around him while he slept to harness his energy for their own use. They drained a large amount of power from him, but when he awoke, his inner fire still burned stronger than that of other Dragonite.
Hidden Power: Steel
Special Training: Destroyer King
Thanks to his inner warmth, Primordus no longer takes double supereffective damage from Ice attacks, now taking as much damage as he would if he were not part Flying. However, he now takes neutral damage from Water attacks.

Kirill: Male Excadrill (level 6)
Biography: I'm a drill and I'm digging a hole. Diggy diggy hole. I'm digging a hole.
Hidden Power: Ice
Special Training: Giga Drill
Whenever ordered to Dig, Kirill coats himself in an additional minor amount of Ground energy and a minor amount of Steel energy, the combination of which allows his drilling prowess dig through surfaces he would not be able to, such as reinforced concrete or steel, only unable to dig through the most indestructible of surfaces. This extra energy will always be used, even if digging through the softest soil, and does not affect the damage done nor the type of damage when Kirill uses Dig to strike a foe.

Maxim: Male Machamp (level 6)
Biography: Maxim is all about pushing limits, of both himself and everyone around him. After a good bit of training he's found a way to use his fighting spirit to force others to push themselves as well.
Hidden Power: Ghost
Special Attack: Weight Training (Fighting)
Maxim charges a significant amount of Fighting energy into a small orb before launching it at his foe, dealing good damage. Upon contact, the energy makes the affected Pokemon feel significantly heavier for a period of three rounds, making Pokemon who fly or levitate have their flight ceiling reduced drastically, usually to only a few feet off of the ground unless they have particularly strong wings or mental capacity. The effects will also make swimming and jumping a bit harder, though it will still be possible to do so with increased energy usage.

"I think I'll start things off with Primordus."

Round 1: It's gonna be-- wait for it...

Sitting astride his Bastiodon in the depths of the Furnace, the ref sets about polishing his Steel-type's faceplate as he waits for the battle to start. However, he doesn't have to wait long, as the challenger soon makes his way down into the battlefield of the Steel Gym. The Gym Leader awaits him, ready for the punishing battle that is sure to result, Sneezey considering his options before releasing the form of the original pseudo-Legend. Primordus' small wings keep him aloft as he hangs over the arena, the Dragonite snorting as he awaits his combatant. FW doesn't wait long to respond with his own 600 BST monster, the colossal form of SOPHIE taking to the arena. Typespam on both sides, but a level advantage in the Gym Leader's favour. This battle could go either way.

The metal monster begins by attempting to set up some protection around the battlefield to punish any future Pokémon planning to switch in. However, just as she gathers the energy needed to do so, a vicious cry echoes throughout the Gym, causing her focus to fade away. Primordus glares at his foe, having established his authority, and despite the Metagross' inorganic nature, she can't help but be cowed by the Elder Dragon's might. Shaking off this impotance, the Steel-type's eyes flash, a wave of force leaving the centre of her body before rolling outward.

The Dragonite weathers the blow without much fuss, simply shrugging it off before pumping his wings, a blast of hot air leaving his body, laced with dancing flames. Even though the cold arena causes him to put some more juice into the attack, SOPHIE still lets out a groan as her body is assaulted, giving a clear lead to her opponent so early in the match, though both are looking equally energetic. This match is still up for grabs...

Round 2: Yo Momma so fat...

Deciding that this matchup isn't quite right, Sneezey retreats Primodius early, raising his PokéBall to recall the Dragonite. However, before the Dragon can be withdrawn to safety, SOPHIE suddenly cloaks its body with Dark energy and lunges toward her foe. Just as the recall beam hits Primordius' back, the Metagross slams into its opponent, transferring the power into his vaporising form. A roar of pain echoes around the Furnace before being cut short, the huge lizard taking a massive shot of damage in payment for his retreat. In his place is another Gen I behemoth, the tubby form of Yo Momma appearing before the Gym Leader's Pokémon, ready slap some sense into her opponents.

Opening her cakehole wide, the Normal-type lets out a loud cry, possibly demanding more food, which again reverberates through the arena. The soundwave carries a blast of energy, which hits SOPHIE for a strong blow, but the Steel-type doesn't falter as it raises one huge foreleg into the air, the claws glowing with Fighting spirit. With another lunge, it smashes its 'fist' into the massive gut of its adversary, a small explosion resulting from the impact. While Yo Momma's so fat that she takes reduced damage from punches to the stomach, the detonation is enough to cause a glaze to come to her eyes, confusion taking hold. Maybe she's realised that there's no food? Either way, she isn't able to recall her next order, and sways slightly, matching the fat on her frame. She's a bit better off than her opponent in terms of health, but is much more energetic, despite how fat she is.

retreat as you set up your Barbed Wires for real. Follow up with a Flash Cannon if Snorlax snaps out of her stupor. Otherwise, drop a Toxic on her.

Round 3: No Trespassing

Backing off slightly, SOPHIE'S eyes light up as it summons Steel energy from within. With a spin, it casts strands of it around the battlefield, where it takes the appearance of silvery razor wire, intent on causing harm to any reinforcements Sneezey sends out, including Yo Momma. The Snorlax shakes off the attack as it rakes at her soft, flabby skin, and she disperses any lingering confusion by channelling psionic energy into her head. Getting to her feet, she lumbers toward her foe, lowering her cranium at the last moment before slamming it into SOPHIE. The Metagross barely feels the impact on its hard body, and stomps backward a few paces as the cross-shaped mark on its face glows briefly. A bright silver beam of metallic energy leaves its body, streaking into the Snorlax at close range, eliciting a grumble of pain from Yo Momma but failing to have any additional effects.

The Normal-type puts her wide movepool to work, bringing her paws together to form a crackling orb of electricity within. Slowly, the sphere grows in size and power, and after a few seconds she releases it at her target. The attack is slow, but with only a couple of metres between the combatants, SOPHIE is left with precious little time to react, and as it tries to scuttle out of the way the left side of its body is caught by the attack. Static surges through its metal body, a groan of pain and metal echoing through the forge as the Metagross slumps, its entire body wracked with paralysis, leaving it helpless before a status-free adversary. SOHPIE has eked out the narrowest of leads as both plummet toward the health midpoints, but Yo Momma is still pretty energetic for one so fat, while SOPHIE needs a breather. Which she'll probably get, since she's horrifically paralysed and all.

Round 4: Acid Reflux

Having crippled her opponent, Yo Momma takes in a deep breath, using the powers of a particularly spicy curry recently inhaled on one of her eating binges. As flames begin to billow around her mouth, SOPHIE recognises the danger, attempting to raise shields. However, the paralysis inflicted upon it is just too severe, and the expected energy dome never appears. What does arrive is a massive star of flame from the Snorlax' maw, which crosses the short distance to slam into the immobile Metagross for some intense damage. The screech and groan of tortured metal echoes throughout the Furnace, SOPHIE reeling from the huge hit, though it finds itself free and limber to move once again.

Panting slightly, Yo Momma continues her assault, crying out for more dinner with a note of song, producing a rainbow wave of energy from the mouth. The energy spreads in a cone shape, following the previous attack's path before smacking into the Steel-type's front, dealing more unwanted damage. SOPHIE's impassive face twists briefly in annoyance as it focuses, increasing its own mobility and speed for the foreseeable future. Though it didn't have a great round, falling into the second half of its health by a fair way, energy use was almost negligible, leaving it refreshed. Yo Momma went untouched, just like since yo was born, but her energy use has left her breathy, a breather not being a bad idea.

a bit of bad luck there, but persevere, smash it with Meteor Mash, follow up with a retreating Psychic.

Round 5: Retcons are a Bitch

With its speed increased, SOPHIE goes on the offensive. Drawing one powerful foreleg back, the Metagross rushes its target as it focuses metallic energy into its clenched fist. Yo Momma makes no effort to dodge, and the limb impacts upon her huge, flabby belly, dealing a fair amount of damage, though as her gut ripples and quivers it shows that some of the blow was absorbed harmlessly. Starting to clunk away for some reason, the Steel-type continues its assault with a display of mindpower, a wave of force washing outward to crash into Yo Momma, but fortunately it's not a real wave and she's not at the beach in a two-piece.

Shrugging off the attack, the Snorlax responds with a large orb of ectoplasm, possibly a combination of the souls of every creature whose remains she has devoured over the years. The sphere forms between her paws, and she soon fires it into the form of her foe. SOPHIE attempts to dodge, but is caught on the side by the attack as it detonates, purple winds washing around its body for some nasty damage. As the dust settles, the mechanoid is still up, but is looking extremely worn down, almost critical in fact, while Yo Momma looks a little over halfway done. Both are about even on energy, starting to approach the midpoints.

Round 6: Omnomnom

Getting to her feet, Yo Momma decides that now is as good a time as any to grab a snack, beginning to lumber toward her opponent as evil energy gathers in her hungry maw. SOPHIE attempts to stop its opponent dead, eyes flashing blue as it fires another wave of mental energy toward the Snorlax' feet, the impact doing the trick and tripping the huge Normal-type up. Yo Momma falls forward, bounces off her belly... and lands face-first on top of the Metagross, biting down and injecting Dark energy into the Steel-type. SOPHIE struggles for a second, mighty limbs whirling... before going limp, a groan leaving its body as it powers down. Yo Momma stands up, licking her chops from the tasty meal, before awaiting her next opponent.

SOPHIE is unable to battle!
