Star Platinum (SP): Lv. 2 Male Clefairy (Uplevel)
A long time ago, on a clear, moonlit night, SP had been separated from his group of Clefable. He found himself lost, set upon by a pack of wild bug Pokemon, badly injured. Thankfully, a traveling vagrant, his original master, found him and nursed him back to health along his journey. The vagrant began training SP every day, making him fight hordes of wild Pokemon again and again, teaching him the art of toughness. Each morning, SP had to punch a sandbag until he fell down in exhaustion. After about a year, SP's punches were so strong and fast that he broke the sandbag; his owner knew that his training was complete. SP served as his master's bodyguard until the man was old and feeble, when he was traded to me to take care of.
Sig: ORAORAORAORAORAORA!!! (Fighting)
SP's punching attacks do 1.2x damage for no additional energy, and he is considered familiar with Fighting energy. Also, he loses the shyness of his evolutionary line; in fact, he is somewhat resistant to attacks involving intimidation/fear now. However, his training has made him view Fighting-types as his equals; making him reluctant to defend against their attacks or hit them too hard in the interest of fairness. Fighting type attacks now hit SP for neutral, and his Fairy type attacks only hit for 1.5x damage rather than 2x on Fighting types. He can no longer use Gravity, Stored Power, Charm, Sweet Kiss, Fake Tears, Tickle, Substitute, Zap Cannon, Psychic, Psywave, Blizzard, Thunder, or Fire Blast.

Ika: Lv. 1 Male Inkay
Bio: A tricky little prankster, always looking for new ways to use his prodigious Dark/Psychic powers to mess around with everyone.
Sig: Flip Around (Psychic)
Ika expends major Psychic energy to switch him and his opponent's place; in effect, they teleport into each other's physical position. They need to be within a reasonable distance of each other; basically, if Ika could hit his opponent with a standard ranged attack, excluding physical barriers that would block it, and knows their position, he can use this attack. He and the target also both have to be relatively still for the attack to work. The target can only be about twice as large as Ika maximum before the attack begins failing. Ika can use this attack once per battle. Dark types cannot be affected by this attack. Teleport limits apply.

Jerome: Lv. 1 Male Mime Jr.
Jerome is a romantic little fellow hailing from the region of Kalos who spends most of his time trying to woo cute lady Pokemon on the moonlit café patios. He feels a certain connection to the moon, a je ne sais quois that sets his heart aflutter in the nighttime.
Sig: Clair de Lune (Fairy)
Jerome may now use Moonblast and Moonlight, at the expense of Sunny Day and Solarbeam.

Frederick: Lv. 1 Male Spheal

Marie: Lv. 1 Female Mareep

Carrie: Lv. 1 Female Average Pumpkaboo

Ika, you're up! Also 4/6 is okey dokey.

Lawn arena. How fun.

Our two trainers select their respective champions, and within seconds, a Sigilyph and Inkay stand before us. Ika watches her opponent with curious eyes, clearly wondering why the Psychic- type had been chosen to do battle with her, but is content to battle on. Infinity simply hovers within the air, before beating her wings rhythmically. A faint wind gusts through the arena, quickly strengthening and buffeting Ika. The Inkay cries as hardened pockets of air slam into her body, but she forces herself to persevere. As the winds die down, she seizes the advantage, channeling Dark- type energy into her tentacles. Pointing them towards Infinity, she allows the energy to flow readily towards her opponent, and Infinity squawks loudly as the energy crashes into her. Moving to react, Infinity's entire body suddenly seizes up, the previous attack having managed to cause her to flinch. Then, in a moment of brilliant variety, Ika shoots a second Dark Pulse off. Yay!

Infinity is already hovering around the midpoint, while Ika suffered no serious damage. Both remain more or less fresh.

Gimme a break, it's his only decent ranged Dark STAB. :P

Taunt, followed by another-you guessed it-Dark Pulse.

Ika, clearly somewhat drunk on her previous victory, spews forth a torrent of abuse at Infinity. The normally perfectly calm Sigilyph responds explosively, quickly gathering her energies and forming a thick verdant sphere before her. With a garbled cry, the orb ignites with colour, and spirals through the air, slamming into it's intended quarry. Ika's entire body momentarily freezes as the beam strikes true, before her senses are flooded by crashing pain, her entire body shuddering involuntarily. Gasping, she responds by raining down retribution in the form of a dense blast of Dark- type energy, this time Infinity being the one to shudder wildly. Then Infinity tries to use Signal Beam again, but fails, since this is 4/6 and Signal Beam is her only Bug- type attack, meaning she used all her energy already.

Infinity plummeted beneath the midpoint this round, looking fairly scuffed up now. Ika only just reached the midpoint, but while Infinity remains looking fresh, Ika is fairly tired now.

Infinity looks flustered at the continued resilience of her opponent, but the Sigilyph trudges again. Turning to the skies, she calls upon the mystical energies of the moon, allowing stunning pink energy to flow through her body. A globular sphere quickly gathers before her, and with a simple motion, the orb crashes headlong into Ika, causing her to groan loudly with pain. Determined not to be shut down quite so easily, the Inkay quickly recovers, spewing forth a concentrated blast of sound. While Infinity is certainly shaken by the blow, she continues to stand, gathering dark energies to create a thick sphere before her. Just before she launches it, Ika belts out another Round, but by this point the cry comes too late. The orb sails through the air, rupturing over Ika's body, and she falls from her elevated position.

Ika is unable to battle! captainmisato, your final Pokemon please.

Infinity is within critical reaches now, and will be good for two.

Ika is returned to her Pokeball, replaced with Jerome. The Mime Jr. quickly uses Moonblast, his freshness allowing him to put the Sigilyph down with little trouble.

Infinity is unable to battle! Zelphon, your final Pokemon please.

Jerome looks totally fresh.

Infinity is recalled to his Pokeball, swiftly replaced by Flux, a small Shinx. Wasting no time, the feline crouches close to the ground, allowing energy to dance across the surface of his skin. Roaring into the air, he bursts forwards, slamming painfully into his foe with a full body tackle. Jerome is knocked backwards, but he quickly catches himself, waving his hands through the air to summon a thin barrier before himself. Growling, Flux allows a thick coating of Steel- type energy to encompass his tail, darting forwards and pivoting on his front feet. Jerome simply moves his screen to take the blow of the attack, the pink shield holding up admirably in the face of the whipping blow. Jerome chuckles to himself, before considering his revenge on his opponent, his entire demeanour becoming notably more dangerous as a consequence. Just as it seems the situation can not become more dire for Flux, Jerome summons an attack from the future, predicting it's strike within the next few rounds.

No damage traded to either Pokemon here, but Jerome is looking a fair bit less fresh than Flux, though he is not quite yet in need of a breather.

Flux once again lowers his body to the ground, cowls raised high. Roaring, he surges forth with an astounding pace once again, curving his run to try and sneak within the confines of Jerome's barrier. The Mime Jr. instantly takes stock of his plan thanks to the trajectory of his run, and as Flux turns inwards to try and strike Jerome, he slams painfully into the translucent barrier. Grimacing, he shakes his head, before staring at his foe. Realising his mistake immediately, Flux groans as he becomes entranced by Jerome's strange movements, his mind becoming utterly addled as a consequence. Grinning to himself, Jerome gathers a huge sphere of bright pink energy, before slapping a single hand into it. A dense beam charges towards Flux, catching him in the midriff and sending him tumbling backwards.

Flux took all of the damage this round, but once again enjoyed a breather. Jerome is beginning to establish a lead for himself, but he is now hitting the midpoint of energy, and will need a breather.
