Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

Dave: Level 2 Male Kadabra
The subleader of Shadowshocker's non-Gym Squad who constantly strives to do his best and surpass his normal abilities. Through meditation he mastered not only a calm composure and discipline, but also the ability to strike without warning when his enemies least expect it.
Signature Move: Destined Roulette
When Dave became a Kadabra, he further sought to better amplify his psychokinetic powers and use them in even more aspects. As such, he combined his clairvoyant capabilities from Future Sight with Metronome to generate a new attack. Using Future Sight, Dave times his Metronome attack to use it at the exact moment, during which a certain designated attack will be generated from the Metronome. Dave can only browse through 200 attacks in one turn; if the designated attack does not appear in a list of randomly generated attacks, nothing happens. When he uses Destined Roulette, Dave has to concentrate hard enough that renders him otherwise immobile and thus prone to enemy attacks for as long as needed to randomly search for his designated attack. Destined Roulette uses up energy equivalent to 2.5 Future Sights, as well as the energy of the attack generated. If Dave does not have enough energy to use the designated attack, Destined Roulette fails, but Dave still suffers the 2.5 Future Sight energy cost. Regardless of result, Destined Roulette can only be used once a battle, and counts as a two-move combination that cannot be combined in three-move combinations.
To ref Destined Roulette, visit http://www.randomizer.org/form.htm and for each question key in the following values:
How many sets of numbers do you want to generate?: 10
How many numbers per set?: 20
Number range (e.g., 1-50): From 1 to 355
Do you wish each number in a set to remain unique?: Yes
When the results are generated, use the Find Command in your browser to look for the corresponding attack number. (Example: Flamethrower is 101)
If the number is absent, the attack fails.
If the number is present, its position in the list roughly indicates how long it takes for Dave to remain still and locate the attack.

Bertha: Level 2 Female Teddiursa
Equally playful as Zapster but gets incredibly serious in battle, Bertha is scarred by her experience in the night and can completely lose all rational thought in combat if angered enough.
Signature Move: Lunar Fury
In nighttime conditions or conditions where the area is darkened (such as a result from a Smokescreen), Bertha can use this ability to increase her offensive powers by one level (both physical and elemental) but her attacks that depend on accuracy become 10% less likely to hit and Bertha has a 5% chance of not following orders. Once the battle conditions are restored to normal brightness, all effects of accumulated Lunar Fury are lost, meaning increased offensive abilities, lowered accuracy and being less likely to follow commands. However, energy used up in the usage of Lunar Fury is lost (energy usage is equivalent to that of a Bulk Up attack).

Experiment 158/Finder: Level 2 Male Venonat
Trained to be able to find anything it's asked to. Finder has always been a keen user of his radar capabilities, and with his extensive search training, hardly anything escapes him in combat.
Signature Move: Sleuth Senses
Due to being a master of detection, Finder's senses are extremely honed; if one of his senses is disabled, his other senses naturally amplify in ability. Thus, when Finder is blinded, he still functions as if he can see his opponent by using his radar powers. If he is deafened, he relies more on his eyes to find his opponents. In other words, Finder isn't affected by blindness or deafness, but he becomes completely unable to strike first during rounds when blinded or deafened due to needing to focus his other senses besides the disabled one (similar to attacks such as Counter, Mirror Coat and Vital Throw in the game where the user always goes second). He also becomes as completely helpless as a normal Pokemon would when he is both blind and deafened. Sleuth Senses also requires a move in order to activate, but will automatically deactivate once Finder's senses are at normal functioning levels.

Manners/Experiment 345: Level 2 Female Roselia
Trained to cover people with her special pollen and make them too polite to fight back. Using her aromatherapeutical powers and knowhow of botanic scents, Manners created a different scent that has the power to induce a sense of relaxation in her targets and calm the nerves.
Signature Move: Polite Dust
Manners sprays an aroma similar to Sweet Scent that, instead of infatuating the opponent, will calm the opponent's fighting spirits in a way opposite to Taunt. During this period of time the affected Pokemon cannot use attacks that are more powerful than Thunderbolt, out of being too polite to fight back. Once the opponent is hit with another directly damaging attack, the effects end. Polite Dust uses 1.5 times the energy as Aromatherapy and can be used twice each battle.

Slimy/Experiment 390: Level 2 Male Grimer
Originally trained to trip up others with the slime he leaves around. However Slimy took up a lazy temperament and as a result refuses to move around more than absolutely necessary. After constant training with Kanocho using him as a handy punching-bag, he became more and more defensive to non-elemental attacks.
Signature Move: Slime Fortitude
Slimy takes 15% less damage from physical and attacks that fire bullets and similar projectiles (think of Ash's Muk against Jeanette Fisher's Bellsprout), such as Fire Punch, Rock Throw, Razor Leaf and Pin Missile. However, he is 15% slower than other Grimer.

Sprout/Experiment 509: Level 2 Male Ivysaur
Originally, he was supposed to be able to take root into the earth and grow into a forest of destruction. However, this being a physical impossibility for a Pokemon of Sprout's species, we decided on a different idea. Sprout was instructed to meditate under a waterfall for two hours each day. This not only padded his resistance towards Water-type attacks, but increased his ability to absorb water into his body and boost himself. Sprout doesn't speak much, having attained a quiet personality after his extensive meditation, but displays valiant spirit in battle.
Signature Move: Drainer Gainer
When Sprout is hit by a Water-type attack, there is a 5~20% chance of his Grass-type attacks becoming slightly more powerful due to the absorption of a small amount of water from the attack (the percentage varies according to the attack's intensity, for example Hydro Pump will have a 20% of triggering this). The increase in power is as if Sprout used a Growth attack. However, if Drainer Gainer is triggered, Sprout's Grass-type attacks will cost him 10% more energy to use for the next round he uses a Grass-type attack, after which the stat increase and increased energy cost will be lost. If Rain Dance is in effect, Drainer Gainer automatically has a 5% chance of triggering each turn Rain Dance is in effect.

Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

You overestimate my memory, bird. But hey, I'll try, and if I do something wrong, just tell me. Huh, battling on UPN, haven't done that in a while. Why not RP a bit?

Now, um... I would RP right now, but eh, screw it, can't RP unless I get a bit of description, and obviously, there isn't any yet, so here's my squad, I assume I send out my pokemon without any orders.

Funji: Female Paras Level 1
Feeble, pathetic and scared of most things. Enjoys battling though. Because for some reason she doesn't usually realise that she could get hurt.
No sig move.

Mud: Male Barboach Level 1
Simply slow, in both respects of the word but powerful when he tries his best.
No sig move.

Bir & Bik: Male Doduo Level 1
Bir & Bik are one of the rare cases were each head has a different brain. Bir is an extreme optimist while Bik is an extreme pessimist. This causes them to be more emotional than most of their species. Therefore moves that are based on emotion get a boost.
Special Training: Emotional Boost
The moves Return, Frustration and Facade have their power increased by 30%.

Prygn.exe: Genderless Porygon Level 1
Prygn.exe is a hacked and unauthorised Porygon. It like most hacks has glitches. One of which is to change type, texture and colour randomly when told to perform the command to spin its tail.
Special Technique: Tail Swirl
Spins tail clockwise once and changes type, texture and colour randomly. Used once per battle. Energy usage is equal to Conversion2.

Princess: Female Smoochum Level 1
A dramatic brat, rather aggravating but play rough cause of her huge need to be better than everything else.
No sig move.

Sutel: Male Wynaut Level 1
Happy, happy wynaut. That does nothing but stand all day. I have no idea what is going through that thing's mind.
No sig move.

Prygn.exe and Sutel are battling a bit now.

Sutel, since whatever Bertha is doing hasn't anything to do with you, jump in front of her DynamicPunch and counter it.

Prygn.exe, after you get hit by the psywave, throw a fully charged Shadow Ball at Dave, but only after all of their attacks have hit.

Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

We are here for a match between Shadowshocker and Another Fan on a lovely beach. Not as hot as the normal beach here, making it more relaxing.

Skia: Shouldn't you be focusing on reffing?

Oh right. Shadowshocker has chosen his male Kadabra and his female Teddisura, meanwhile Another Fan has chosen a Porygon and a male Wynaut.

Round 1:

Kadabra uses Future Sight and sends a beam into the sky. At the same time, Teddisura uses Fake Tears and pretends to cry, causing Porygon and Whynaut to let their guard down. Kadabra then uses Psywave and fires a multiple waves of psychic energy that form 5 rings, and directs them at Porygon, who takes the attack head on, not even trying to dodge. Teddisura then uses Dynamicpunch and attempts to punch Porygon, only to have Wynaut jump in the way and use Counter and glows red, allowing the attack to hit him. The red aura then striks back, dealing Tedisaura double the damage he dealt to Wynaut. However, the explosion sends Wynaut flying back. Porygon then charges a Shadow Ball charging a dark ball of ghost energy until he can charge it no more, and then fires it at Kadabra, which explodes on contact, releasing the ghostly energy, which deals Kadabra serious damage.

Kadabra used a great deal of energy and took a ton of damage but is still well off on both, Porygon used a great deal of energy and took a great deal of damage, and is still well off on both, and has more health but less energy than Kadabra. Teddisura took a ton of damage, less than Kadabra however, and used a great deal of energy, less than either Kadabra or Porygon. Wynaut took a good deal of damage and used a good deal of energy and is the best off on both.

Eh, can't be bothered to RP. Prygn use shock wave on the teddiursa, then add a thunder wave.

Suttel, use counter or mirror coat on any physical or special attacks, respectively.

Edit on the 26 of Dec: Yeah, I'm off to Paris until the 7th? I believe? I may or may not have interent. So, if I do however break the DQ, throw me out, as always.

Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

Round 2:
Kadabra runs in front of Teddisura and uses Light Screen and sets up an opaque rectangle of light. Porygon realizes it isn't going to hit his ordered target, so he fires his Shock Wave at the Light Screen instead, firing many small lightning bolts at the screen, which absorbs it and stays standing. Porygon gets annoyed at this and uses Thunder Wave, and fires electric tendons, which are also absorbed by the screen. Teddusara then charges up his energy, and releases it in a Focus Punch charging up a large amount of fighting energy before hitting Porygon hard with it. She then stops Wynaut from interfering with a Rock Tomb and encloses her in a pile of rocks.

Wynaut is the best off of the battlers, having taken some damage but is great on both health and energy. Porygon took a huge hit to his health but only used a good deal of energy, but the energy he used last round means he's worst off on energy but is starting to look beat up, even more so than Kadabra Kadabra used a good deal of energy on that Light Screen, but is still better off then everyone but Wynaut on energy. His health isn't as bad as Porygon's but he's still not looking great. Teddisura is in the same condition healthwise but her energy took a huge hit, she still has more energy than Porgyon. She's starting to breath hard but still has plenty left in her. Her health is a different issue, she's slightly beaten up, but much better on it than Porygon or Kadabra, but not as well off as Wynaut.

One move round.

Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

Round 3:
Kadabra moves his Light Screen uses Psychic and releases a blast of psychic energy towards Porygon, who looks at his trainer oddly, it doesn't know Light Screen! Because of this, the wave crashes into him, dealing damage. Teddisura then tries to punch Porygon, Wynaut tries to jump in the way, but he can't clear the rocks. Porygon is hit and some of his fighting spirit is drained, healing Teddisura.

Kadabra used a good deal of energy, and is not as fresh as he once was, but took no damage. Porygon used no energy but took a ton of damage, and is starting to look fairly beat up, as if some more solid hits would finnish it off. Wynaut is still trapped and used no energy and took no damage, meaning he is still the best off of everyone by far. Teddisura used a good deal of energy but took no damage and even gained a fair amount of health, meaning her health lead over Kadabra and Porygon has increased, and has even caught up some on Wynaut.

Well, this has been fun. Prygn.exe, flash and then skull bash into the two of them.

Suttel, counter or mirror coat if the unlikely chance of being attacked.

Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

Round 4:
Porygon uses Flash and glows brightly in a bright burst of light, which blinds Teddisura, but Kadabra closes his eyes, reducing the damage done to them. Kadabra doesn't seem to mind that he's still slightly blinded, in fact, he creates a Barrier to protect himself, creating a large, transparent wall around himself, protecting him from any physical attacks. Porygon then uses Skull Bash, picking Kadabra at random to attack, and flies headfirst into Kadabra’s barrier, its head covered in a white glow. The Barrier takes the attack and stays standing. Teddisura then charges a Focus Punch and starts charging fighting energy for a long while, and attempts to punch Porygon, and manages to be dead on despite her blindness. The attack is too much for Porygon, it fanits from the hit. A strong breeze flows by, hinting that Kadabra's Future Sight is about to stike.

Porygon is unable to battle, next pokemon from Another Fan please!

Wynaut did not use any energy or take any damage this round. Kadabra used a great deal of energy, and is starting to breath hard, but is still all right on energy. However, the same can’t be said for Teddisura, who used a ton of energy, and is really starting to breath hard, she appears to be a little under half her energy.

Re: UPN PASBL: Shadowshocker vs. Another Fan

Another Fan chooses a male Doduo to take the fainted Porygon's place.

Round 5:
Doduo uses Double Team and moves back and forth between two places rapidly, so fast that three identical images are created. Kadabra uses Shock Wave and fires a stream of many small lightning bolts, which hit two of the Doduo's, one hititng a clone the other hitting the real Doduo, causing the other two to vanish. Before Doduo can Supersonic, Kadabra uses Disable and uses his mind to force Doduo from moving, preventing him from using Supersonic. Teddisura uses this time to Swords Dance and spins, focusing his mind on increasing his ability to damage with physical attacks. The Future Sight strikes, as a ball of energy hits the rocks, Wynaut being unable to safeguard due to lack of space, takes minor damage.

Doduo used a good deal of energy, but is still fresh. Kadabra used a ton of energy, and is really starting to breath hard. Teddisura used a decent amount of energy, and is still breathing harder than Kadabra, but his breathing isn't much deeper than it was after last round. Wynaut took some damage, but is still well off.

One move round.
