Alright! Match details are up, so it's time for a battle, yes?

Our challenger for today goes by zerozoner, a PASBLer that I'm not too familiar with. Facing him on the accepting end is Son_of_Shadows, who I shared a battle with not too long ago... But losing is never fun...

Anyways, as I'm sure you're both pretty familiar with how everything works, I'm somewhat entitled- as a new ref -to tell you this anyways. You'll both post your squads of 6 Pokemon, with ZZ going first and SOS following suit. SOS will then choose his first Pokemon, and ZZ will do the same and will issue his first set of orders. After SOS calls out his own, I'll ref the rounds happenings, the order will then switch, and we go from there.

*By the way, I will be reffing the standard 6/9 and x2/x3 for SE. Thought I'd just let you guys know.

Now, formalities outta the air, how's about we get this thing started! Zero, if you could please give us your Six Mon Squadron...

Thanks for reffing CCW and looking forward to a good match SOS, bringing in some of my lesser used party members to this lawn party.

Wisp: Charzard level 4 Female (Up Level)
Holding: Charzardite X
Hidden Power: Ground
Special Attack: Hell Blizzard (Fire)
Wisp inhales deeply (or flaps vigorously once evolved) and produces a powerful burst of scorching hot air, embers and fireballs, which hit the opponent for major damage, although it is concentrated. The material comes from either the user's mouth (or wings). This attack has a 10-30% chance of burning its victim with the percentage increasing the closer Wisp is to her target. Though the attack is fast and powerful, the build-up may take some time and will leave Wisp a little winded immediately afterwards.

Majora: Lunatone level 1 Neutral

Rose: Rotom-F level 3 Female
Hidden Power: Grass
Special Training: Nasty Thoughts
Rose can now use Nasty Plot

Phan: Sableye level 1 Female
Hidden Power: Ground
[spoiler]Special Training: you are what you eat
Over the years of consuming gem stones Phan has gained a rock type familiarity, on the same level of a water type with ice type energy.

Oswin: Numel level 1 Male

Phi: Elekid level 1 Male
Hidden Power: Grass

... In hindsight, I should probably have checked your trainer level before taking this match. OH GOD I'VE MADE A GRIEVOUS ERROR

1. Irishman the Hitmonchan (male, level 2 - uplevel)
2. Barbara the Zubat (female, level 1)
3. Gem the Staryu (level 1)
4. Etta the Litwick (female, level 1)
5. Cuteness the Skitty (female, level 1)
6. Intel the Chatot (male, level 1)

Uh... Go get em Intel.

Sorry for the delay in posting. Going to be leading with Phi.

Go for the double Discharge to see if we can't paralyze that birdie.

zerozoner vs Son_of_Shadows

Round One:
The Easy Way Out

The sun nestles firmly in the center of the sky; sitting in a peculiar position as it casts a heavy light over the landscape. For miles, vibrantly green blades of just grown grass waft in the gentle breeze picking up from some unknown location. Dewdrops cling to life at the tips of the lush greenery, reflecting like glass as the sunlight hits each speck. In the calming scenery that seems to span for miles in any direction, our challenger steps forth.

Firmly at their side stands a very eager Elekidby the name of Phi. As our challenger, zerozoner, takes their place a distance away from their Pokemon, our plucky little Elekid braces itself for what should prove to be one interesting battle.

As Phi does this, a vibrantly colored parakeet like creature flutters around its trainer a good distance away. The Chatot, by the name Intel, comes to a halt on its trainer's shoulder. Son_of_Shadows makes a brief gesture to thier opponent, which zero promptly returns. It's become apparent to the group of battlers that thier match is just about ready to begin...

With their orders called out, both Pokemon spring into action. Phi is the first to try and enact its orders, charging a considerable amount of electricity between its hands. The look on his face is confident, clearly knowing full well the type advantage he has over his foe. Despite the dangerously effective electrical attack being prepared for them, Intel is in no way ready to succumb to that type of damage just yet.

In an instant, Phi launches a powerful Discharge of electricity, all aimed at one point in Intel's direction. While Phi's move was being collected however, Intel had been preparing an attack of his own. Covering his entire form in some eerie green Bug energy, he springs forth in an arcing plane towards his foe.

The electrical attack washes over him, causing the desired amount of damage just before Intel side swipes Phi for some less than considerable damage. The exchange was quick, and with a swift U-turn, Chatot is returned to his Pokeball within seconds after striking. In his place stands the ever ready form of a Hitmonchan.

The humanoid boxer does a few practice punches in the air before eyeing their opponent intently. What at first looks like a look of egaerness turns into one of shock... no pun intended, as Phi quickly does the same motions as before and launches yet another Discharge of electrical energy in their opponents direction.

The attack hits home almost immediately, and Irishman is zapped by a considerably harsh attack just coming out into the field. Ouch... Irishman winces a little as he drops to one knee. While he's not paralyzed just yet, a few more head-on hits like that will surely numb his system if he's not careful. Before the round closes, Irishman glares his foe down, while Phi returns the unflattering look with a smug grin of his own.

They both stand not too far away from each other; not quite in melee range, but a good enough step or two would put them in each others faces.

--------

Round Summary

As it is, Chatot used much less energy than their foe this round, but on Phi's end it wasn't anything noticeable considering his typing.

Both would be good for two next round ...had Chatot not switched places with Irishman by the end of this one.
Whatever energy Intel did use shall be replenished during their stay in their Pokeball. It should go without saying that their Bug energy is pretty much gonzo, but another U-turn is not out of the question, it just won't be as powerful...

As far as damage goes, Chatot took a super effective hit from Phi's Discharge, while managing a smaller hit to Phi with their U-Turn. Irishman suffered from a Discharge just coming out into the field but is otherwise just as fresh as Phi coming into the next round, so hopefully we'll get to see some carnage between them.

-------

S_o_S, your next orders, please.

Round Two:
Taking One For The Team

------

At the start of the round, we see Irishman and Phi but mere steps away from one another, eyeing each other expectantly. They both know their next move needs to be quick and precise, or the consequences could prove disastrous.

With this in mind, Irishman begins his would-be assault. Stepping out with precise footing, Irishman swings an arcing right hook lowered at Phi. The Punch came at Mach speeds, hitting the electric humanoid squarely in the jaw and causing him to stumble about in a circular motion before finally regaining his footing.

Luckily enough, the punch caused enough of a window for Phi to enact the revenge best served as mental warfare. Irishman, happy with how things are going, remembers the second half of his orders and attempts to come at Phi with an arcing Brick Break, but the attack is quickly cut short. Tapping into some unknown well of Psychic energies, Phi manages to create enough of a telekinetic push that knocks Irishman off his feet, feeling as if he'd been hit by the force of a wave.

He can do nothing but brace himself as he tumbles back, landing on his hind, and sees Phi preparing the next part of his orders. His body quickly coats itself in a familiar aura of electric energy, a crackling rush of sounds echoing from his form as he does so. Within mere seconds, Phi is flying through the air in an orb of electric pulses, all of which phase through the still-sitting Irishman's form and give him quite a decent blow to his health.

Shaking off the damage from the Volt Switch, Irishman stands himself back up. Small sparks echo from his shoulder, but in fact appear to just be residual damage from the electric nature of the attack. Once fully recovered, so to speak, Irishman looks around in front of him, wondering where Phi had gone off to so quickly.

Little did he know that in between being zapped by Phi's attack and getting himself back up from the greenery did Phi actually switch out to Majora the Lunatone. The hovering crescent moon lets out a low ominous moan, drawing Irishman's attention behind himself. To his shock, the Lunatone had been a replacement from Phi's attack, and at the end of the round he stands but mere feet from it- just before actual melee range.

------

Round Summary

Irishman and Phi both took damage this round, marginally in the same boat health wise- although Irishman's health is a tad bit lower considering previous damage from Phi's Discharge. The only damage Phi has taken this far comes from a stunted U-Turn from Intel and now a head-on Mach Punch on Irishman's end.

Energy wise, Phi is resting inside its Pokéball and will recover most of what it's lost this round, while Irishman's had unnoticeable movement. On the Psychic end, while Phi's use of Psychic wasn't exactly taxing, anything other than a Psychic wave or a slightly weaker Light Screen is pretty much wishful thinking.

Majora joins us 100% fresh out of the Pokéball and is raring to go.

Zerozoner, your next orders, please.

Round Three:
Too Lazy To Think Of A Round Title

Majora floats effortlessly just a few feet away from our boxing humanoid. Irishman, ever aware, sits firmly in place and refuses to move an inch until his opponent does. He braces himself with a tightened stance, his glare carefully trained on the floating crater.

Per it's orders, Majora focuses their mind to create a force of mental energy. It's tangibility is scarce, appearing almost invisible to the humanoid were it not for the heavy blue tinted streaks emanating from the attack. The Psychic wave pulses through the air, just inches from forcing the Hitmonchan back on his posterior.

Irishman knows a proper counter for this, however. The would-be force of mental strength is lowered to nothingness as Irishman erects a circular dome of energy, effectively protecting him from the blunt of the attack. His actions are not complete just yet, though. As his shield dissipates in a spectacle of light green sparkles, his right arm begins coating itself in steel energy. Aiming to close their gap, and deliver some damage while they're at it, Irishman lunges his fist outward. The speed of the Bullet fast Punch rocks Majora at the core, stunning them momentarily as it is seen hovering back a little in an awkward pattern. It was obviously hurting from the attack, noted even more so by the low groan that escaped the crescent moon as it was trying to recollect itself.

If Majora could grimace, it most certainly would be at this point. Seeing no point in holding back, Majora creates a bulbous sized orb of Psychic energy, aiming to deliver the whole force of the attack at it's foe. With a tilting motion forward, the large Psyshock orb slams into Irishman with battering ram force, delivering a considerable amount of damage to our fighter, and sending him skidding back on the grassy plain beneath him.

Battered but not beaten, Irishman stands itself up with almost no big deal of effort. Remembering the final attack of his three move combo, Irishman runs back in to strike Majora with a Direct-Contact Earthquake, his fist having only just finished encasing itself in the strong amount of ground typed energies. The attack shakes Majora up instantly, keeping it hovering in place before the final jerk of Irishman's fist sends it flying back several feet.

After collecting itself enough to maintain its hovering state, the Lunatone ends the round at projectile range to Irishman, each eyeing each other with wary glances.

------

Round Summary

Irishman managed to avoid the better half of the damage he might have taken this round, but still suffered from a Psyshock, which put him much closer to the end of his first third. Energy wise, both his Steel and Ground energies are depleted, although at the most a fairly weakened Bulldoze is possible. The three move combination took a lot out of him, and while a one mover isn't necessary just yet, he should be careful of his energy consumption.

In comparison, Majora took the most damage this round, but is still better off than Irishman in the health department. Their energy pretty much remains untouched, taking a movement that is otherwise unnoticeable. They're perfectly good for two next round.

------

S_o_S, your next orders, please.

Oh, thought I'd ordered here already. Apologies.

Sky Uppercut to send him flying, and Pursuit as he sails.

That's going to have to be some uppercut to send you flying Majora. Let's teach this fighting type a little about brains over brawns with a Psychic. Then a Moonblast while he's using Pursuit.

Round Four:
Typespam 101 With Prof. Majora

Majora floats nonchalantly at a safe distance away from Irishman. They appear to know something we don't concerning the Hitmonchan's next move, almost as if the Lunatone has some sort of hidden telepathic clairvoyance for the match.

This could almost be proven too, seeing as it is Irishman who attempts the first move, coating their fist in fighting energy to attempt a Skyward Uppercut. Too bad Irishman doesn't have some sort of elongated arm thingy, because being so far into projectile range means that Lunatone barely has any trouble summoning more waves of Psychic energy, with the attack sending Hitmonchan soaring further away once again.

As he rears his head to try and pick himself back up, Irishman is met face first with a Blast made up from the energy of the Moon itself. The damage Irishman's taken this round has been extensive and he almost doesn't even want to attempt his next Pursuit of his foe, but he obediently coats his entire form in Dark energy, quickly sliding along the longer distance to slam into the Lunatone for some effectively underhanded light damage.

At the end of the round, Irishman is now extremely close to Majora, elbow room kind of minimal. Majora is simply shaking off the small hit it took, vastly unaffected despite this minimal attack it sustained.

------

Round Summary

Irishman managed to take more typespam this round...Poor thing. He's fairly close to that final end of his health, while his energy was moderately untouched... Despite his last bit of Dark energy, which can fuel no more Pursuits considering it's pretty much his only good Dark move.

As for Majora, their health took a small hit, and their Fairy energy is also depleted... GameFreak really needs to revamp these move pools ...

Irishman is looking like he may require a break, while Majora can still go for two without whining.

------

Lost, your next orders, please.

ROUND 5: JUMP and SHOUT!
Lunatone vs Hitmonchan

Hitmonchan glares at his opponent. Lunatone, craggy and solemn, hovers with an edge of almost arrogant serenity. How dare that stone hold itself with such impetuosity? Lunatone may be a Psychic-type, but Hitmonchan is an uplevel. Indeed, he refuses to allow himself to be denigrated to a lesser fate. Determination and righteous fury seethe within him like river rapids when Lunatone prepares its psionic prowess. As Lunatone concentrates, the stone blasts out a Psychic wave, barrelling down towards Hitmonchan. However, the Fighter does not surrender. Instead, Hitmonchan coats himself with shimmering power and hurtles. Each limb and axon galvanises with an almost unfathomable power, as Hitmonchan kicks up some grass. He hurtles to the right, leaping away from the telekinetic tsunami. Lunatone frowns when the tidal wave crashes away from the Fighter, who evades with the nimble grace of a kestrel.

After the quick burst of Agility provides impetus, Hitmonchan channels the blistering speed into momentum. His determination, desire to destroy Lunatone, affirms with each growth. After all, he is an uplevel. Nodding to himself, Hitmonchan knows that he can wrest control. And with that, he leaps. With the force of a freighter, Hitmonchan shoots upwards like a rocket, Jumping High. Shock spurs Lunatone, who tries to flee. Hitmonchan is relentless, though. Fighting energy coats Hitmonchan in a ruddy sheen, when the boxer pulls one leg back and thrusts one forward. In one foul Kick, Hitmonchan knifes his heel into Lunatone, who screeches in agony. While Hitmonchan flips back onto the lawn with flourishing grace, Lunatone writhes and wails. Revenge, indeed. Hitmonchan smirks; at all, he can feel more confident with the turn of the tide.

Lunatone refuses to be outdone, though. After the ache from Hitmonchan's kick ebbs away, Lunatone concentrates its psi potential. Psychokinetic energies coalesce in front of Lunatone's face, which winces but then hardens like slate. Lunatone aims and discharging, unleashing a Psychic tsunami at Hitmonchan. Grass, weeds, and roots tumble in a vicious avalanche, as Hitmonchan gapes in shock. When the onslaught barrages him, his yells become hoarse within his throat, as though his neck has parched in a desert. The tidal wave throws Hitmonchan's limp body a few feet away, as Lunatone feels an indecipherable pulse of schadenfreude. Vindication, as the rightful stakes are restored.

---

Both Pokémon have endured super-effective blows, although Lunatone has taken more damage since Hitmonchan has the slight boon of his uplevel virtue, something which the previous ref may have forgotten. Hitmonchan is now dangling above the critical range, while Lunatone dips into its final third.

In terms of energy, Lunatone has used slightly more than Hitmonchan, narrowing the gap between the two battlers. They both remain above the midpoint. Hitmonchan still needs that breather, risking energy bleeding, and Lunatone would like one as well.

The two Pokémon are thirteen feet apart. Lunatone is ten feet in the air.

-Son_of_Shadows to order.

Uh, Lunatone is part Psychic so a High Jump kick should be a neutral blow.

Let's see if another Psychic can't end this match up.

Got it, zz. Typos changed.

Hey guys, linking you guys to my TA post on UPN. Hope that explains the shorter and terser quality of this reffing. The next few will be short, but the usual quality should return soon. Promptness should be unaffected.

ROUND 6: PSYCHOkinesis
Lunatone vs Hitmonchan

Despite his need for a breather, Hitmonchan seizes the initiative and throws out a Vacuum Wave. Lunatone winces against the blow but does not waver in its preparation of a Psychic tidal wave... which it rolls straight onto Hitmonchan's face, knocking him into unconsciousness with the super-effective powers.

Hitmonchan has been KOed and cannot battle. Son_of_Shadows, please send out your next Pokémon.

---

Lunatone enjoyed the breather and hovers right above the halfway mark for energy.

In terms of health, Lunatone took some damage but hovers above the final third threshold. Lunatone is ten feet in the air.

-Son_of_Shadows to send out.
