Round 7

Gyatso feels out when he feels his opponent will start their next attack, suddenly Screeching when he feels the time is right. The sharp sound is practically painful for the Grimer, forcing him to block his ears to escape the sound as much as he can. As it fades, Denny groans, having turned about in his writhing. It's difficult for Gyatso to see exactly what's cookin', so he rounds the Grimer a bit to see... only for the poison type to suddenly turn, spraying a load of special toxins straight at the electric-type. It splashes against his body, not doing much damage at first. Once it sinks into his skin a bit however, Gyatso really knows about it, a sickening pain coursing through his body. It seems the Venoshock reacted with the poison in his body for a particularly potent effect. When it stops, the electric-type is left shaken and panting. Denny looked pleased.

Gyatso, putting on a serious face for perhaps the first time in this match, charges and fires another Shock Wave at his opponent. The blue arcs bounce across the ground rapidly, shocking the Grimer once again. Denny retaliates, summoning all of the fire energy he could manage into one big Fire Blast. The star of flames closes the distance quite quickly as this middling range... Gyatso attempts to dodge, and while he avoids a direct blow to the chest, he's still firmly clipped by the blast. He cries out, tumbling to the ground.

As the Elekid struggles back up he winces, the poison ever present and helping to wear him down.

---

The two Pokemon are at a medium distance from each other, about 10 feet (3 meters).

Gyatso is really hurting after that round, his health lead having evaporated to nearly zero now. Denny wasn't damage free either, and can be seen wincing still as his body protests that last electrical shock. Both Pokemon are much closer to zero than half health, now. Denny's round was pretty energy heavy. Although he has a lead on Gyatso in overall energy, he'll struggle to keep pace without a lighter one next. Denny's fire energy is largely gone. Gyatso on the other hand is feeling refreshed... or at least, as much as he can be at this stage in the battle, having just had a simpler round.

Round 8

Denny seems happy with the approval of his trainer. Taking a deep breath, the Grimer blows a purple, Poisonous Gas in Gyatso's direction. The electric-type sees this coming but decides to just ignore it, already too busy preparing for his biggest attack yet. As the sickly fog rolls in, the smoke parts briefly as a wicked bolt of Thunder rockets out of the top of it, arcing up and crashing back down viciously on the exhausted Denny's head. He's given the nastiest shock of the fight, crying out in pain and defeat. As the light fades, the now lightly smoldering pile of sludge groans and slumps down, spreading out into a pile. Gyatso pants himself after the attack, coughing a bit as he breathes in some of the gas. He takes the opportunity to stumble out of the gas, as it becomes clear that...

Denny is unable to battle! Ger, send out your next Pokemon!

Gyatso took some light poison damage and used a fair bit of energy on that Thunder. He looks pretty tired and beaten overall, but very happy to have come out on top in the opening match up. Still burnt and poisoned, and still enjoying a special attack boost. The boost will wear off completely by the end of next round.

Round 9

There's no time for games as Ger's next Pokemon, Rhodes the Dunsparce, immediately Retaliates during Gyatso's victory celebration. Barely had he exited the flash of the Pokeball before he was charging toward the Elekid. As quick as he can, the Elekid holds his arms up to his face and focuses, producing a Protective shield just as the Dunsparce go there. There was a loud thump as the aura shatters and Rhodes bounces back, having been too slow to land with his vicious attack this time.

Considerably fresher and with the order initiative, Rhodes makes a follow-up attack, gathering together a Ball of Shadowy energy. It reaches full charge before too long, and launches at Gyatso. The electric-type's weary eyes go wide when he sees it coming, shrieking as it crashes and explodes into a blast of ghastly power. Caught up in it, he's thrown backwards and crashes to the ground, looking quite worse for wear. Wincing, pushing it to the limit, Gyatso struggles half way up, then attempts to surprise his opponent a bit... suddenly raising his head and spitting a glob of Toxic material in Rhode's direction. The Dunsparce attempts a dodge, but is partially struck none the less, a streak of poison having been scraped down his side. It isn't a full dose, but it's a dose none the less, and Rhodes seems a little concerned. Gyatso winces from his own poison, nearly collapsing back onto the ground. He groans from effort and pushes himself back up straight, ready to fight on for what very well could be the last time in this match.

--

Rhodes took no damage but did use a lot of energy to start thins off. He is poisoned, but it will take longer to get started due to it only being a partial dose. Ghost energy is mostly used.

Gyatso looks battered and exhausted. A strong breeze could probably knock him down. He is within critical health, nearing critical energy, poisoned and burned - but looks ready to go out with a bang!

Gyatso, return! You did a great job buddy.

Hei Bai, take the stage!

Use Body Slam! Replace body slam with safeguard if you see any incoming status move though. Follow up with crush claw.

Round 10

EmeraldGoblin returns an ailing Elekid to his Poke-ball, apparently not wanting to see him take the final blow. In his place, he releases a much larger, more formidable opponent is Hei Bai, the Kangaskhan. Rhodes flutters back warily, not wanting to be on the receiving end of too many physical attacks from this one. In a stroke of inspiration however, his trainer suggests using their might against them, and Rhodes takes to preparing a Bide. Hei Bai was already charging in, jumping up as he reaches the Dunsparce and trying for a vicious Body Slam. Unable to move, Rhodes takes it head on, slammed into the ground beneath their opponent's bulk.

Happy with the first hit, Hei Bai climbs up and reveals a pretty crushed Dunsparce lying on the ground, covered with a red aura. Looking to keep up the offensive, the normal-type charges energy into their front Claws and goes for another Crushing blow. The nail jab at a tender looking piece of skin then tear straight down the Dunsparce's length. Rhodes cries out in pain, this being the moment where he knew he had to fire. Just as the Kangskhan draws his claws back, Rhodes does a hop-turn to face his opponent then unleashes a bright red beam of energy. It's loud, thick and bright; the intense shot, fueled by the punishment he had received earlier in the round, strikes and bursts deep into Hei Bai's gut during the chaotic moment. The beast roars, taking the beam head on for a second before being thrown completely off balance by the force and crashing to the ground on his back. The wind is completely knocked out of Hei Bai, and he clutches his mid-section unhappily... clearly having been hit very hard. The Dunsparce doesn't look much better, laying on the ground resting after exerting that incredible amount of energy.

---

The distance between them is medium; outside of melee, but not at 'long range'. Both Pokemon are on the ground, though they will be able to proceed normally next round (though perhaps with a bit of a slow start).

Hei Bai took an incredibly painful shot, well beyond that of a Hyper Beam, even. Fortunately it was the only damage he took and he was at full health when it happened. His energy use this round wasn't too shabby. It'll take a second or two for him to get up at the start of the next round.

Rhodes looks strained and exhausted after firing that attack, and is at a sizable energy deficit compared to Hei Bai. He might not be able to do much of anything in the immediate next round. He took quite a bit of damage himself, but much less than his opponent. The poison has finally worked its way into his system, and he will slowly begin to take damage as of next round.

Round 11

((This round is pretty simple.))

Hei Bai gets back to his feet, still wincing but prepared to continue the fight. Rhodes is aware, but can't do anything but rest for now, still burnt out after that Bide. The downed Dunsaprce makes easy pickings for the colossal fighter, who stomps forward and raises a hefty arm. The fist is surrounded in a green, fighting-type bubble, which is brought down on Rhodes as a nasty Drain Punch. The creature cries out painfully as the super-effective fist digs into his back. Hei Bai on the other seems quite satisfied, also feeling the effects of the additional recovery. The Kangskhan roars in triumph and confidence, lifting his other fist even higher as he goes for a second Drain Punch. Rhode's eyes flash back open, knowing he'll have to do something or take another nasty blow. Using all of the energy he could muster, he flutters up off the ground and charges at the creature's gut, Headbutting Hei Bai. The Kangaskhan's roar ends abruptly with the hit, turning into more of a surprised growl as suddenly he swings his arm, smashing it into the Dunsparce's side. Rhodes shrieks and hits the ground again a few feet away. The angle on that attack wasn't entirely ideal, as Hei Bai wasn't quite expecting that sudden charge... but it was better than nothing. Rhodes heaves himself back off of the ground with his little wings, still stinging from those two hard strikes, and looking slightly harmed by the poison, which had finally started taking some effect.

---

Eight or nine feet separate the pair.

Hei Bai actually came out of this round a bit healthier, despite taking a hit. Overall, he's not looking too bad. Energy use was on the edge of being pretty high. Fighting energy is largely used up.

For Rhodes, despite the incredible Bide, the health gap was completely closed and then some thanks to a pair of super effective hits. His energy use was very light fortunately, so he feels a lot more refreshed.

Round 12

The Kangskhan starts with a deep, loud Roar. Despite their trainer's best efforts, Rhodes can't help but be intimidated by a creature twice his size and in control of the match making such a threatening display. Satisfied that he wasn't going to eat an Ancientpower, Hei Bai takes a deep breath and roars again. This time, the Uproar is focused into a faintly blue beam which strikes Rhodes head on. The Dunsparce is thrown back and bounces once, but manages to barely catch himself in the air with his tiny wings before being completely grounded. Rhodes sounds a war cry of his own as he suddenly charges forward. He slams Hei Bai with a Double-Edged tackle, causing the beast to stagger, surprised by the force of the blow. Rhodes looks a little hurt from the recoil of his reckless charge, but it was a good strike nonetheless. The Dunsparce winces again from the poison.

---

The two Pokemon traded blows, but there is nothing too special to note. They each took similar amounts of damage and used similar amounts of energy. They each enjoyed their simpler round to some extent.

((Simple round again.))

Rhodes shows off his speed, flying back and forth to create a total of three Double Team images, spread out in front of Hei Bai. Not wanting to waste energy trying to find the real one, the Kangaskhan responds by exercising their Foresight. The creature's eyes turn a bright red as it scans the arena, identifying everything for the way it truly is. The double team clones dissipate, to Rhodes chagrin. At the very least, the Dunsparce feels, he can get some damage in, suddenly abandoning him attempts at illusions and focusing a pink Secret Power into his tail. Hei Bai does his best to be evasive, but not in the freshest condition, nor being the smallest and most agile Pokemon around, he can't quite get clear of the Dunsparce's jab. The energy discharges, causing Hei Bai quite a sting, but fortunately there's no status problems to go with that.

At round's end Rhodes cringes; that sickly, painful feeling of the toxins getting gradually worse.

---

The two Pokemon are in immediate melee range. The arena is under the effects of Foresight.

Hei Bai took a hit and is sitting on the cusp of half health. Their energy use this round was pretty light, so they're feeling quite ready to get back in the fray.

Rhodes only took poison damage, closing the health gap slightly. He is a step below half way, but not out of it yet. Energy use was nothing unusual.

Let's use Bulldoze to trip them up when they try to body slam then take the Mega Punch and follow that with Counter

Round 14

Hei Bai puts his weight to use once again by going for a Body Slam. Rhodes attempts to Bulldoze to trip the Kangshkhan up, but as Hei Bai was already right there in melee range, 'tripping him up' simply meant helping him fall straight on top of the Dunsparce. He cries out as he's squashed, completely unable to shoulder off the weight above. Fortunately he wasn't something much smaller. Hei Bai pushes himself back up with his arms, pulling his right backward as soon as he stood straight. Rhodes climbs up too, immediately surrounding himself in a red aura, hoping to Counter whatever was about to hit him. The Kangskhan's fist, now glowing brightly, lashes out for a stiff hit,. It brutally cracks Rhodes in the side of the head, throwing him off his paws and sideways to the ground. His yelp of pain wasn't the real story here however; just as contact was made, Rhode's red aura flashed brightly, traveling up Hei Bai's arm and harming him directly. The beast roars and stumbles back, pained all over.

Both Pokemon take a breather for a couple of second, get up, and take up their respective "fighting stances". They both look a little ragged now, especially Rhodes, each showing the toll of battle. The Dunsparce cringes, the poison reminding him that it's still very much there.

---

The two Pokemon are now just outside of each other's melee range.

Rhodes is looking very hurt. He is very well below half health, almost critical. He looks tired too, panting just visibly. His overall energy is a little below half remaining. Still poisoned.

Hei Bai has been knocked clearly below half health himself, but still has a great lead. He looks a bit healthier and a bit fresher overall.

((To clarify, Bulldoze was never properly used.))
