Hitsu, you're on.

Time to try stuff I've never done before. Cotton Spore, then let's follow up with a Thunder Wave

Our referee overlooks the arena before him, taking note of the hardened surface and the numerous rocks protruding from the surface, each of them clearly quite viable for manipulation during the upcoming battle. The sky is clear above, the sun shining down on the arena below. A slight breeze can be felt, as our two trainers take their position at either end of the battlefield before them. Nodding in a muted respect to one another, they each reach for their Pokeballs, puzzling over their choice. The trainer to the left of the referee is the first to react, lobbing his ball in a neat arc before the capsule splits open at the seam, a brilliant flash of red revealing a small, sheep Pokemon. The Mareep shakes her head, preparing herself for the upcoming trials, and lets out an endearing cry. Our second trainer hesitates for a moment, but then resolves his determination, sending forth his own Pokeball as the reason for his hesitation becomes evident. A Mudkip stands before us, the small Water- type clearly at a type disadvantage here. Nonetheless, the two Pokemon face each other down, each ready for the battle ahead.

Hitsu, the Mareep, is the first to make her move. Ejecting small amounts of the Cotton comprising her fleece, she begins to gather the Spores, before sending them towards Hufflepuff. The Mudkip inhales the spores, and begins to cough and wheeze, eyes running due to the spores triggering some terrible allergic reactions. Nonetheless, Hufflepuff attempts to kick up some mud, hoping that the Mud Sport will allow him to take Electric- type moves better. However, the Mudkip lets out a cry of dismay, realising that the hard rock around him doesn't allow for mud based moves. Amused by this, Hitsu begins to mold Electric- type energy into two small tendrils, which begin to snake towards Hufflepuff. The Thunder Wave wraps around the Mudkip, who begins to freeze up, the Electric- type energy coursing through his body. Unable to break free of the binds, the Mudkip can only wait until the attack is broken, being left considerably paralysed as a consequence of the long exposure to the attack.

Barely any damage was traded this round. Hitsu used a fair bit more energy than Hufflepuff, but neither need a break. Hufflepuff remains paralysed.

The round opens with Hufflepuff desperately trying to move his body, but the small Mudkip can barely managed a suppressed cry as electric currents continue to course through his body, holding the Mudkip in place. He can only look on in dismay as Hitsu begins to Charge herself with Electric- type energy, sparks flying from her wool as electricity builds up in her body. Hufflepuff's dismay quickly turns to horror, as Hitsu begins to create a large ball of Electric- type energy in front of herself. The Zap Cannon is fired, and the ball hurtles towards Hufflepuff, managing to score a direct hit due to the Mudkip's indisposed condition. Hufflepuff tries to move immediately after, feeling the shock o the attack release him from paralysis ... only for his muscles to immediately lock up again, residual electricity from the Zap Cannon suddenly surging through his body and leaving him unable to move.

Hitsu avoided all damage this round, but is looking to be tiring and would appreciate a one mover, though it's not yet necessary. Hufflepuff took a huge blow, dropping to just above his second third, and is still paralysed.

Hufflepuff is still ensnared by the paralysis coursing through his body, and can only look on in horror as Hitsu once again readies an Electric- type attack. A vicious Thunderbolt suddenly erupts from the Mareep, crashing into Hufflepuff and soliciting a striking cry of pain. However, the Mudkip begins to happily prance about, the paralysis having left his body.

Hufflepuff has fallen to the halfway mark now. Hitsu remains untouched, while she now looks fresh.

Create a Safeguard, then after the Yawn finishes, let's just got for a Thunderbolt

Pro-tip: Protect going first is super exploitable :/

The round begins with the two Pokemon waiting for the other to make the first move. Hufflepuff stares at Hitsu and, confident she won't be making any moves soon, sends forth multiple pink bubbles of energy generated by a loud Yawn. Hitsu grins, setting up a shimmering Safeguard. True to it's name, the quick action bursts all of the bubbles, dissipating the energy within them into the air, leaving Hitsu untouched. The Mareep then begins to generate a huge amount of Electric- type energy yet again, reaching a peak before lancing a vicious Thunderbolt towards Hufflepuff. The Mudkip cries out in pain as the electricity courses through his system, but mercifully leaves him without any detrimental effects.

Hitsu remains untouched, Hufflepuff is into his final third. The latter should really begin going on the offensive soon.

Hitsu begins the round by once again generating a large amount of Electric- type energy within her body, holding it until it reaches a peak. She then lances forth a vicious Thunderbolt of energy, which crashes into Hufflepuff and surges through his body, the Mudkip screeching out in pain in response to te electric currents surging through his small body. However, he perseveres, rushing towards his quarry before leaping into the air. Hufflepuff crashes down on Hitsu triumphantly, delivering a Stomp to the Mareep's head ... but given the fact the Mudkip isn't particularly heavy, Hitsu is easily able to shake the impact off, before once more sending forth a roaring Thunderbolt. The attack takes Hufflepuff clean in the chest, sending him hurtling backwards and leaving him sprawled on the ground.

Hufflepuff is unable to battle! Doovid, your next Pokemon please.

Hitsu took a pretty light blow this round, but is once again starting to show signs of tiredness. A breather isn't necessary, but would be appreciated.

Mkay, Hitsu, that was a great start, now I Hope you forgive me for the next orders:

Take both attacks. The Psyshock should knock you out of paralysis. Then, Signal Beam~

Hufflepuff being returned to his Pokeball is the first act of this round. His trainer looks worried, knowing that he has a huge disadvantage to make up. Reaching for his belt, he sends forth his next Pokeball, the capsule quickly splitting open to reveal an Abra, known as iWolfy. The Abra quickly sets about following through on his orders, creating two small tendrils of Electric- type energy which he promptly snakes around Hitsu. The Thunder Wave sends foreign currents of Electricity coursing through the sheep's body, soliciting small cries of helplessness as she feels her body freeze up. Wolfy stands back, admiring his work, before sending forth a sudden burst of Psychic- type energy. The energy forms small orbs which hang in the air around Hitsu, before quickly convalescing downwards and slamming into the Mareep's body. She cries out, pain surging through her body from the sudden Shock of being struck ... but the paralysis has escaped her body. She grins, opening her mouth wide before gathering a small orb of Bug- type energy, which erupts outwards towards Wolfy. The Signal Beam crashes into the Psychic- type, causing him to noticeably recoil, clearly hitting him a fair bit.

Hitsu is finally approaching the end of her first third, but Wolfy took a big hit in his first round. Hitsu has enough Bug- type energy for one more Signal Beam, and neither Pokemon require a breather.

Hitsu begins the round by slowly shaking her wool, sending forth multiple Spores of Cotton which slowly drift through the air towards Wolfy. The Abra unknowingly inhales them, and is instantly effected, his eyes watering and his breathing becoming affected. However, the Abra manages to focus momentarily, sending forth a quick burst of Psychic energy, which hovers in the air above Hitsu before quickly crashing down onto the Mareep's body. Her eyes open wide in Shock The attack solicits a small cry of pain, but Hitsu quickly turns the situation to her benefit. Hurriedly fashioning small tendrils of Electric- type energy, the small sheep extends the energy towards Wolfy, ensnaring the Abra. The Thunder Wave begins to crawl round his body, but the Abra quickly begins to struggle. Quickly breaking free of the restraints courtesy of his fresh condition, he begins to channel Psychic- type energy into his forehead, allowing him to ignore the irritating allergic reaction and achieve a Zen like state. Charging towards Hitsu, he delivers a Headbutt directly to the Mareep's skull, sending swathes of Psychic energy coursing through her.

Hitsu fell into her second third this round, while Wolfy only took slight damage from the Thunder Wave. Energy wise, Wolfy is beginning to tire, but neither Pokemon need a breather just yet.
