Squad Submissions - Signature Approvals - Mark II

This thread is for the approval of pokémon signatures only - do not post other pokémon here. Please use the appropriate threads if you are adding/removing pokémon or would like a League Official to approve your pokémon's Hidden Power or attachable item.

If you are unsure what to do, you can check the website - under "Creating a Squad" and "Signature Moves" - or ask for help frm another ASBer. You must read this entire post before being allowed to submit signatures - click on the spoilers for information.

Rules

Once you have posted in this thread, you can keep editing and updating your signatures as you have new ideas and think of new things to do. You can do this up until the point at which a League Official has processed your post - once this has happened, you must not continue to edit your post. You can create a new post in this thread for any future signatures. Failure to follow this rule will be looked upon sternly.

When a League Official will goes through your post, they will approve or reject your pokemon. Underneath each one, they will write "approved" or "rejected", usually in an appropriate colour. If your pokémon is approved, congratulations! You can use it in any battle which you start from the time of its approval. If it is rejected, you cannot use it - there is something wrong with the signature which means that it is not ready to be used in the ASB. You must resubmit any rejected sigs in a new post with changes. Usually, these changes are minor. Sometimes, they are more extensive.

The current League Officials in charge of signature approvals are Jerichi and Shadowshocker. If you are unsure about a signature, you should speak to them, though it is usually better to ask other ASBers for their opinions first. This thread should be updated at least once a month, usually more often than that - if it isn't, feel free to remind us!

The format for Posting a Pokémon in the Squad Submissions is:

[Nickname:] [Level #] [Gender] [Pokémon Name]
Signature
A handy formatter made by Rabscuttle and AshsBabyLapras can be found here

Please wrap your posts in a spoiler tag. It makes this thread less intimidating for LOs who don't want to edit for three hours.

Tips

Spoiler: show
When submitting a signature, first ask yourself these three questions:

1) Have I actually read the signature rules and guides? More than once? Have I looked at many signatures around the ASB for ideas and inspiration?

2) Is there anything about this signature's power, energy usage, type, effects that I haven't told the ref?

3) If my opponent had a pokemon with the signature I am submitting, would I think that it was fair?

If the answer to any of these is a no, your sig is probably not going to pass.

Now, here's an example of a decent signature move:

Shelly: Level 1 Male Squirtle
Shelly is a tough little Squirtle, given to me by Professor Oak at the start of my journey. He's been through some exciting adventures with me, always happy and ready to meet new people. He works hard in training, always the last one to finish up as he practices his moves. He's especially good at blowing bubbles, firing them at opponents with great accuracy and power. In fact, he learned a signature attack that uses bubbles in a really fun way!
Signature Move: Bubble Blaster (Water)
Shelly charges briefly and fires out a big ball made up of soapy bubbles. The ball deals major damage if it strikes the opponent and might leave them covered in soapy residue, which can slow them down a little bit for up to a round. This attack takes major energy. Shelly spent so long practicing this attack, she forgot to learn how to use Skull Bash.

There are several things to note about this signature. Firstly, it's got a nice lot of biography. This is actually contained above the signature attack itself, but can sometimes be useful for those approving sigs. If you haven't written a bio, it shows us that you only care about having a powerful sig, and that's not what this is about. You should write especially good and long bios if you want to give your pokémon a different type. Never put biographical facts in the signature itself - keep them in the biography section.

The signature has a name and, in brackets, tells you what type it is. If your signature is an attack, make sure to list the type - this tells refs what type of damage it might deal and what type of energy it uses. It also lists the damage and energy of the attack - major damage, major energy. If your signature attack doesn't list this kind of information, it will not pass. Usually, attacks use as much energy as they deal damage, but if your attack has lots of secondary effects, you might have to make it cost more energy.

The signature lists a particular characteristic of the attack - it can slow foes down - and tells us that the attack is a big ball of bubbles. Helping refs visualise the attack and telling them its effects will be helpful. The sig also lists a drawback - that Shelly can't use Skull Bash. Not all signatures require drawbacks, but many do in order to balance them out. This might be forgetting moves, being slower or less powerful, taking extra damage from a certain type. Anything really, as long as it truly balances things.

The above is an example of a Signature Attack. There are several other types of signatures - Signature Training, Signature Characteristics and Type Changes. It doesn't really matter what you call the signature as long as you make it clear what's going on. Generally, training will give pokémon access to new moves or some advanced ability like being very good at martial arts. Characteristics will be things like gaining extra resistances to certain types or having abilities like health regeneration or more type energy. Type changes are, obviously, type changes, and let you change a pokémon's type or add/remove a type to it.

Here are some more examples:

Spoiler: show
Thyrus (Level 1 female Druddigon); Thyrus, the Dragon of Terni, is a powerful creature with power over the courage of her foes. She once terrorised the forests and cities of Central Europe, killing and taking whenever she pleased and resisting all foes who tried to best her. Champions assaulted her, to no avail, their swords dropped from their gauntlets even as they raised their shields in terror. My encounter with Thyrus came at the outskirts of Krakow, where she was able to cause my Steelix to cower in fear and even retreat in to the pokéball. I was able to defeat and capture her, however, using my Hydreigon. Thrak was as terrifying as his quarry and more besides, using his power over the darkness to bring her to heel. Thyrus took some taming, but time in the Golden Valley left her more willing to focus her rage upon my enemies. She learned to embrace the flow of battle, shredding those who wronged the honour of the Gym but able to interact with other pokémon when left at peace. Her roar is incredible, her red skull causing opponents to cower in fear and try to escape. This Monster's Roar is proving most useful in the Gym.
Signature Attack: "Monster's Roar" (Normal); Using considerable energy, Thyrus roars loudly and terrifies his foe. The target is scared away and forced to retreat into their pokéball as if they'd used a switching move like Baton Pass. This does not pass on any boosts the target may have had and the new pokémon just not gain the same physical and psychological mindset as the target. In Switch = KO matches, this does not count as a KO. The switch is treated as if Baton Pass had been used, with the target's trainer declaring their new pokémon after the round has been reffed; turn order is unaffected. This move will fail if the target is the last remaining pokemon that its trainer may use in the battle. This move is usable once per battle and Thyrus cannot use Crunch, Faint Attack, Payback or Fire Punch.

Greg (Level 6 male Electivire); Sometimes I wonder why Greg first appeared to us. I think he was attracted to the charge coming off of Phantasmic's training sessions. Whatever the reason, he came charging into our campsite and started laying the smack down on everything in sight. Luckily Marus was on hand to roast him with a Flamethrower, and we prepared to move on. Before we left, though, I took a look. On this closer inspection I decided to capture this unusual specimen. He's generally pretty sound, and very reliable in battle. Even before we began our specialised training, he was always a mainstay of my squads. With evolution, he's gained an appreciation for the colour red, and no longer becomes enraged when he sees it. He also knows the value of occasionally playing dirty, but he has shown an increased level of maturity upon reaching his final form. This maturity has allowed us to begin training him to be something more, something special (whilst also being incredibly clichéd. Greg worked with my Hariyama, Infernape and Poliwrath in order to focus his Fighting typed energies to their most potent form. Constant practicing has left him an expert in the art of kick boxing and, while this is not a real martial art, it does provide some useful skills when facing tough opponents. Superior conditioning with Louis has left him lean and fit, constant exercise with Chunky allowing him the strength and skill necessary to use Fighting type moves to their full effectiveness and focussed meditation with Mario has left him able to prepare his mind effectively enough to wield his skills in the heat of battle. This work is generally evidenced by the addition of a new move and a greater ability to relentlessly punch things in the face.
Signature Training: "Destruction"; Greg is familiar with the Fighting type and can use Close Combat. He cannot use Fire typed attacks or the move Giga Impact.

John (Level 6 male Aggron); John doesn't take shit from anybody. This is a useful trait, as being the only American on my squad he is relentlessly taunted at all times for having rubbish taste in alcohol, politicians and men. John is a hard worker, using his high strength to do the tasks needed for the team's well being. He expects respect and he usually gets it, despite being a newer addition to the squad. His abilities as a battler are obvious and his talent for surviving the harshest of assaults is pretty impressive. Owing to his great toughness I have come to expect good endurance in his battles. However, because of his slightly off kilter weakness and resistance chart, he can be vulnerable to assaults from well timed and chosen attacks by intelligent trainers. He elected to train harder to repel such assaults, learning to hold him self more defensively and protect against his vulnerable areas. He took many strikes from Louis, learning to resist the pain of Fighting typed moves. He took many blows from Tilly, learning to withstand the hurt of Ground typed moves. Eventually, with much strain and effort, he managed to garner a greater resistance to his weakspots by mentally imagining what it would be like to be an Aggron if Gamefreak wasn't full of crack addicts. He came to realise that there was no reason that Ground moves should be super effective against Steel types, and no reason that Fighting moves should be super effective against Rock types. Fuelled by this realisation, he forced his body to undergo a change that would render him less vulnerable to such moves by purifying his weakness and resistance chart. Lacking the potential to fundamentally alter the way that type elements interact, he caused himself to become more metallic in nature. He became colder, more distant, more stoic. He gained the typing of a pure Steel type. His constant weathering of strong blows and wore down his stony exterior portions and gave him a more steely demeanour. John is gay, meaning that he is attracted to male pokémon in the ASB as opposed to females, which should be noted in the case of Attract or Captivate users. He won't use those moves on females himself, either.
Signature Characteristics - Type Change: "Logical Regression"; John has become a pure Steel type, gaining the weaknesses and resistances of this typing. Because his type change is based upon logic, he also becomes 2x weak to Electric moves. He also loses all standard Rock typed species characteristics. He maintains the Rock typed energy of a Steelix. He cannot use Ancientpower, Stone Edge, Smack Down, Rock Slide, Hidden Power, Earth Power or Focus Punch.

Noah (Level 6 male Beartic); Noah is a lovable, yet eccentric, polar bear looked upon as wise despite his youth by many pokémon in my squad. They turn to him when they need advice or help, often exchanging words with him as he trains by creating snowballs and shooting them. He is ambitious and idealistic, wishing to turn an island he once found himself on into a safe haven for endangered pokémon before joining me. Noah often utters his catchphrase "oh deary me" when things go wrong, which being an Ice type, they often do. As a protector by nature, his training often revolves around defence and thus he's developed an efficient way of protecting himself and his team mates.
Signature Move: "Snow Shield" (Ice); Using energy equal to Ice Beam, Noah takes two or three seconds to erect a semi circle of compact ice and snow to serve as a defensive barrier between himself and attacks. This shield has the capacity to withstand a Thunder's worth of attacks, physical and special. It is fixed in place like barrier and cannot be moved. It is a little under the height and width of Noah, with a depth of one foot. Fire attacks deal double damage to the shield and in very bright sun and other hot situations the shield will be less effective. Snow Shield may be used once per battle.

Here are some general tips on how to get good signatures passed quickly and repeatedly.

Always put in as much information as possible - it's rare that you'll be penalised for too much explanation, but too little and we'll probably reject your idea. Damage, energy, type, effect, appearance. Have you covered everything? If you're giving your pokémon new training or characteristics, cover every base. So you want a Sceptile that's put loads of training in to its punching moves? Fine, but what did it do less well in order to do this extra training?

Keep signatures simple - we will never give you signatures that are two different things in one, and if we don't understand a signature, it's not going to pass. Ask yourself if you really need to pick up five super powerful Fire moves for your Mankey - wouldn't Flamethrower be enough on its own?

Type change sigs are really hard to get - you need a good biography that justifies why your pokémon has changed so radically, you need to give us a drawback so that your pokémon isn't incredibly overpowered and you need to consider how powerful the type is. Whilst no type is explicitly banned, it's going to be almost impossible to get a Water/Dragon type Totodile. But a Water/Fighting Totodile would be much easier to get...

There are limits to how powerful you can boost your Pokémon - a good guideline is about a 20% boost. So whilst you might want to give your Pikachu an extra 50% more power from its Electric attacks, more realistically is that we'll give you 20, at a push. Remember also to up the energy for those attacks - a Thunderbolt that's 20% more powerful will take 20% more energy.

You can't have items. No Machop with a sword, no Pikachu with a ketchup bottle. You can probably get away with clothes, though - Meowth wearing boots, Pikachu wearing a party hat etc, as long as they don't affect the game. As for other appearance changes, you caa have shiny Pokémon or completely random colours, and you can make small changes to anatomy like having a bearded Snorlax.

A note on biographies - generally, these won't contain significant details that will affect a battle, but there are one or two exceptions. Biographies are where you put things like sexuality and preferences - if you want your Squirtle to be homosexual and thus affected only by the same gender's Attract, put it there. If your Pokémon is something like a Primeape and you want to make it less angry, do so in the bio.

You aren't permitted to copy signatures without permission - taking inspiration is on thing, but copying someone's idea is unsporting.

Ghetto Daze: Making things look cool

Chief: Level 3 Male Crawdaunt
"I dunno, fella. Ya dun look 'ike you'll be much o' a challenge."
Chief's always been a tough dude. He came from a tiny little backwater pond. Routed the neighbourhood thugs good and proper. Chief don't care, he goes to the city. Gotta find a challenge, he says. Them streetwise types no match for the guy- he tosses 'em out, moves on. Starts findin' some of the right crowd- tough guys who been livin' their whole lives fighting. They love the guy, say they'll show 'im all their tricks. Chief studies hard. Learns how to fight smart. Decides to join the city guard. Tough guys there, for sure. Chief learns how to pin down those slippery devils. Rises through the ranks. Gets his name. One day I come to town. Tell the guy I'd like his help. Got some tough battles ahead, I do. Guy reckons it's worth a shot, asks my name. We get acquinted real good-like.
The next week is spent playing Touhou and IWTBTG.
Hidden Power - Fighting

Signature Move: Chains of the Law (Dark)
Chief pumps dark energy into the ground, much like one would do with ground energy when using Earth Power. A moment later, black chains of energy burst out of the ground at the target's position, wrapping around them tight before dissolving into their body. This attack deals no damage, but inflicts severe paralysis, on par with that of a direct Zap Cannon hit. This attack takes solid energy to use.

Mercutio: Solid energy? Try harder or specify that this attack is a narrow beam i.e. you can dodge it like ZC. Rejected.

Apollo: Level 3 Male Espeon
"Hmm. Truly perplexing. Mind if I have a go?"
When Apollo was but a young lad, he was selected for something truly great- to explore outer space. As part of a special program, he and a group of other pokemon were boarded onto a space ship and sent beyond the earth's atmosphere, where they would stay for a period of two years. Up there, isolated and alone with a mixture of pokemon closer to him in age and experience and pokemon that had been selected for their renowned abilities, surrounded by the stars and planets, he learned many things. Many, many things. He fell deeply in love with the pursuit of knowledge, and dedicated his days to observing his surroundings. But he didn't do so in solitude- determined to learn of the bonds between living beings, he surrounded himself with friends and allies. He trained in the art of war, analyzed the miracle of friendship, and discovered the truth of love. It was in this time that the once nameless Eevee took a name for himself- Apollo, to honour both the iron being that had been constructed to accomplish what he now sought, as well as the great ball of flame he saw each day. When he returned from the program, he had changed, in more ways than one. Scientists were astonished to find that he had evolved, despite going without human contact for the entirety of the program, and he was all too happy to assist them in their research. However, the world, too, had changed in his absence. Both his mother and his breeder had passed away. As his father had already passed on previously, he was left alone in the world. At first, he seemed fine. He still had his friends from his journey, after all. But as time passed, he began to draw into himself, something which was not missed by his caring friends. They were forced to do little more than watch in sadness as he spent more and more time alone, buried under a mound of books. He had escaped into the pursuit of knowledge, but it was no longer with the pure joy he had once regarded such material. Now, he slavishly read page after page, determined to succeed in the one purpose his life had left. He may have done so forever, wasting away until he died, if a chance encounter hadn't changed everything. I had come to the institution, you see, my obsession with the cosmos driving me every step of the way. That was the day that we met, Apollo and I. An unlikely occurrence, one that would never have happened if I hadn't lost myself in the institution's maze of rooms. To my eyes, the room was nothing but a treasure trove of books, piles upon piles filling every empty space. Truly, there was nothing but books. The floor was carpeted in books. The stool on which he sat was nothing but books. The desk over which he leaned, reading, was nothing but books. Even the bookshelves that covered the walls were, impossibly, made of books. When I glimpsed the Espeon around the room's impressive central pillar, hunched over his desk and feverishly reading, I was amazed. I immediately joined him, amazed by what I had found. We didn't talk much. But we did talk a little. I was shocked when he smiled- it looked utterly out of place on him, as though he had forgotten quite how it was done. When I made to leave, he decided to accompany me. Much later, I found out why- My enthusiasm had reminded him of what he had forgotten: The joy of the discovery. Since that fateful day, he's returned to his playful yet reserved countenance, and has since founded a book club with the aid of Yang and Spike.
Hidden Power - Fire

Signature Training: Enlightenment (Psychic)
Apollo is generally smarter than your average Espeon, more capable of understanding complex orders and of successfully identifying the power or type of an attack. Once every five rounds, Apollo may replace up to two attacks with if branches, rather than the usual one. However, in any round where this is used, all attacks require 1.5x the energy, due to the mental strain.

Mercutio: Approved.

Crackers- Genderless Magnemite Lv.1

Sig: Muscle Memory.
Crackers gathers and carefully unleashes several waves of solid electric energy. On contact, these waves only do a moderate amount of damage. The next turn, the opponent will have it's "muscle memory" rewritten. All moves done by the opponent will slightly be off to the side, resulting in easier dodges and such. Ordering: "Attack a little to the side!" will not do anything. There is a 1/30th chance of the muscles totally locking up and not being able to do anything. Widespread attacks like Earthquake that have no care for accuracy and Psychic attacks that do not rely on the body will not be affected, however, widespread moves such as Surf will be affected, since it requires a degree of accuracy, and attacks such as Hypnosis will be affected since it requires a degree of movement (e.g. eye contact)This lasts a total of 4 turns, and can be used once per match. The effect of this move is generally severe enough that it will always work. However, in the case that it is partially dodged, then there is a 50% of it affecting the whole body, and a 90% of affecting the part of the body part that it hit. The side-effects of this attack will not affect pokemon with no... muscles. If the pokemon affected is hit with moves that deal (in total) Extreme Damage or more, the pokemon will forcibly regain its previous muscle memory. Crackers cannot learn Thunder Wave.

Not exactly sure what you meant by what you said, but here goes :x

Mercutio: Ehhh, fine. Approved.

Jocelyn- Female Ralts Lv.1

Sig Move- Absolute Headaches

Using Significant Psychic energy, Ralts sets up waves of kinetic energy that stretch out across the Arena. All enemy pokemon that are currently in battle or switch in are affected by this move. When a pokemon is affected by this move (either by activation or switching in) they are inflicted with a terrible headache for 2 turns. This headache does everything a headache would do- create difficulty concentrating, irritability, etc. A pokemon affected by this will have trouble forming attacks that deal significant damage or more. If a pokemon were to use moves that would cure confusion, this headache will be lessened somewhat. This can be removed by rapid spin for whatever reason. Due to the way her brain was damaged when creating this entry hazard, boosting moves that deal with the mind will have a considerably less potent effect than it would have normally.

Mercutio: My Steelix has this sig but I gave up moves to get it and it lasts half the time. Mimic me. Rejected.

Daigusto Phoenix: Level 1 Male Torchic
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"
Spoiler: show
Bio: The origin of the Daigusto Phoenix comes from an ancient conflict in the land of Yu-Gi-Oh. Well, is it ancient? I honestly don’t know. Anyways, the source of this origin resides in the Vylon, a group of fairy-like machines that were designed to be able to defeat the Steelswarm and be physically impervious to the Ilswarm virus that could threaten to destroy the world. When the Steelswarm were eventually revived by the fighting between the Gishki and the Gusto erupted, the Vylons performed their duties and have the four tribes more power to help combat the Steelswarm. However, when one of the tribes, the Gishki, was melding their power with the Vylons, the Gishki priestess who presided over the melding was infected with the Ilswarm virus, and so the corruption of the virus got into the hive-mind of the Vylons, driving them insane. Soon, they thought that exterminating all of the tribes would bring peace to the world. And so, in order to create the ultimate seeker of unity, Vylons Stigma, Tesseract, and Pentachloro combined together to create Vylon Disigma. Once Vylon Disigma absorbed monsters from all four tribes, it began to rampage throughout the land. In an attempt to defeat the Vylons, the Gustos and Lavals combined their power together to create Daigusto Phoenix, a combination between Gusto Falco and Laval Coatl, bearing the RIGHTEOUS GREEN FLAMES OF FURY! Unfortunately, Vylon Disigma defeated Diagusto Phoenix, but his spirit lives on!

Signature Technique: Blessings of Gusto
Once per match, Pheonix can sacrifice a considerable amount of energy from one pool of type energy to replenish another teammate's type energy. This can be an active or inactive teammate. The type energy does not have to be from the same pools in order for this attack to work, however, the type energy pools(both of them) have to have between one and three offensive moves. This costs a heavy amount of energy to transfer the considerable amount amount of type energy(these do not stack, it won't cost heavy + considerable). This will only give the teammate type energy, and will not add any "total energy."

Mercutio: Phrase this better - swap sacrifice for transfer, for example. And probably make it cost you more than heavy. Rejected.

Traptrix Atrax: Level 1 Female Joltik
"Come to me...come into me web. I'm sure you make ME very happy indeed...fufufu."
Spoiler: show
Often more than not Remilia's crazy antics got me into a lot of trouble, and it was no different this time around. Well, it was because I nearly died in the process. We ended with the help of another teammate traveling to an alternate dimension...with practically no way to get back. We ended up in an alternate Earth which was covered in rainforests and was full of dangerous and strange wildlife.

Well, normally these tend to end up with rather gropeful plants who try to eat you. And yes, it does eventually come to that(oddly enough without the groping :/), but this time I was attacked by a rather more "animal" wildlife. We were walking through the forest when we saw a young lady in the woods, tattered clothes, in tears. When we walked up to her, she told us that she was seperated from her family and that she wanted our help to find them. Remilia immediately wrote her off as a fake, and I REALLY should have taken her advice, since she's good at this kind of thing herself, but I'm a sap for the "hurt maiden" type and just couldn't help myself. I followed her through the forest, when all of a sudden we started getting into some spider webbing. At first it wasn't terrible, but soon the webbing became chokingly thick, and just when I thought to make my escape, I turned around and saw a giant spider come out of a secret door of silk, and grab Remilia. This spider was easily 20 to 30 times the size of here, even after she was able to change into her human forme, and it dragged her into its depths in a moment notice. And I was left alone with Atrax, who smiled devilishly at me, before whispering in my ear, "Thank you for reuniting me with my family." She dug her fingers into my neck before slowly raising her waist up against me and onto mine, and at that point I blacked out.

When I woke up, Remilia was out of the pit and had Atrax pinned up against a tree. I couldn't see her from afar, but Remilia looked PISSED, and when I look back at myself, my fly was undone, so I could only guess what happened. "Please! Please let me go! I'm so so so so sorry! I won't do it again!" Remilia filled me in later on what she saw, and its things I can't and probably shouldn't go into here, but there was no doubt in my mind that she was pissed about it. "What did you do to my pet!? Why isn't she protecting me!?" Remilia then told her that her spider was dead, and she burst into tears upon hearing that her pet was dead, and I could see pity come across her face. Remilia released her then, and she wept along the ground. Even though she had led us into an ambush, I know that she was really hurting and that she could be in real danger, so I offered to allow her to come with us. At first she looked awestruck, and then just said, "Why?" I answered that it was just in my nature to be a kind fool, and she looked into my eyes...and kissed me squarely on the lips, only to be torn off by Remilia. "Sure, I'll come with you guys. I might meet my sister on the way through this jungle."

Oh boy. Soon, after more wading through the jungle, we eventually found that our teammate had opened up another portal sometime after we had left, but it had taken her some time because for some reason the dimension resisted her magic the second time and it nearly prevented her from opening another portal. Once Atrax passed through the portal, she turned into a Joltik from a dimension shift, but then quickly changed back into her human form and pounced on me. This one was going to be a handful, that's for sure.

Signature Move: Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare (Bug)
Atrax creates a current of bug energy which swirls around her target in a manner similar in appearance to a miniature bug-type fire spin. The attack does only light damage, and it lasts for only a moment, but it's true abilities lie in utilizing the support of Atrax's teammates- When this attack is used, every Stealth Rock-like move in play around the opponent's field will strike the opponent as if they just just switched in, however, they are only 3/4 as powerful as normal. This move costs significant energy to use and can only be used once per Pokemon.

Mercutio: We should team up. But I kind of see this as two sigs in one. Rejected..

Traptrix Myrmeleo: Level 1 Female Trapinch
"I LOVE the beach. I'm sure you do to! Just make sure you don't get buried in the sand...alive. Hehehehehehe!"
Spoiler: show
While I found both Atrax and Nepenthes in an alter-dimensional forest, oddly enough I found the last sister of the triplets in our world, on a beach. I had decided to give my team a bit of a break and soak up the sun, and so we went to the Slateport beach, a place I had been to a couple of times before when I needed to relax before taking on a gym. And it normally would have been a relaxing time, but of course I had the issue of Atrax. Since we had left the jungle, Atrax stuck onto me like glue on butter, which was very nerve-wracking because I wanted to be with Remilia. I didn't want to have an affair with Atrax or form some kind of harem, I just wanted to be happy and not have to deal with the constant sexual advances of a spider girl. Just as I was beginning to stretch out on the beach, Atrax leaped onto me in a two-piece bikini that she had made out of her own silk. She had discovered a loom and sewing machine and this was her way of "modernizing" herself. Just so she could get to me. But at this point, I was more worried about what people would think with her on top of me, her arms pinning mine down. "So...Blazey-kun. Hehe! Remilia did pick out quite a cute little name for you." "What is it now Atrax?" "Well I figured since we were alone, and Remilia isn't going to be coming soon, we might have a little action on the beach." "Atrax, no." I got up then, and walked away from the beach towel, away from a rather bummed out Atrax, before he felt the tug of a piece of string...and Atrax breathing against his neck. "Oh come on...at least this time I'm asking you. I wouldn't want to have to make you pass out again." Blaze just ignored her and stepped forward.

And then the ground went out from under him. Like literally, in about a second, Blaze found himself inside a giant sand pit, with a roaring insect at the bottom, ready to devour him at any second. He tried climbing up the sides of the pit, but it would not let him go. The walls would crumble around him and he would slide down farther than he had climbed up. And then, the insect would spray sand everywhere. Blaze coughed and squinted but he couldn't try to get the sand out of his eyes, since the minute he did he would lose his grip and fall into the antlion's jaws. He screamed for help. Surgei tried flying down to grab Blaze, but the constant sand being thrown up by the antlion kept him away. Atrax simply looked in horror, and then in anger as she realized who this was. "Grrrr....Myrmeleo!" she howled, and all of a sudden another young woman, this time with hair the color of sand...popped up out of the sand. "Huh? Was that Atrax? Couldn't possibly be!" The antlion stopped, and I continued to try to get up the pit in vain. "MYRMELEO YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE!" "Oh. Yep. That's her alright. Well, I guess I better let this guy go. Maybe...." Just then, three large rocks moved under my shirt, and I found myself lifted into the air from the pit. "HEY! THAT'S NO FAIR! HE CAN'T FLY YET!" Myrmeleo yelled out, and I saw Ritz, my Probopass, carrying me. "Don't worry Blaze, I got you." When she put Blaze down, Blaze looked over and saw Myrmeleon and Atrax arguing to each other. It was getting pretty heated, but then Myrmeleo gave Atrax a hug...which Atrax tried to squirm away from. But her grip was as strong as an antlion's jaws.

Then, they both came over. "Blaze, can you let Myrmeleo join the team as well? She can shift too, see!" Myrmeleo then changed into a Trapinch, clacking her jaws before shifting back. "I don't we why...well I can think of a couple of reasons why not, but you are here and so is Nepenthes, so why don't we have the whole bunch here?" Myrmeleo jumped up into the air, before yelling out, "AND THE TRAPTRIX SISTERS ARE REUNITED ONCE AGAIN!" And then silence. "Traptrix sisters?" "Yeah," as Myrmeleo explained, "That's what we used to call ourselves when we were kids." Atrax then pushes Myrmeleo put of the way, "YabutBlazedoesn'twanttohereaboutstufflikethat look Ibroughtatentlet'sgodoitnow." Atrax speedily said before trying to drag Blaze away. Myrmeleo laughed, and stared at the two of them for a bit. "PHEW! She's turned into quite a handful."

Special Attack: Traptrix Sand Traps! (GRD)
Myrmeleo is known for her powerful sand traps, as when she is ordered to use this attack, she will come to the ground and "plant" several little packets of Ground energy into the arena floor, which will move to all around the opponent's side of the field. These traps will go deeper in arenas which have sand, while arenas with dense soil these mines will not penetrate far under the surface. When an opponent switches in, these mines will trap the opponent in a Sand Tomb, the tomb becoming larger and more powerful the deeper the traps are. These traps are useless on concrete, rock, or metal surfaces, and will do nothing. These traps can be Rapid Spinned away, but with a price: the traps will explode in a blast of sand and Ground energy and deal moderate Ground damage to the opponent. This technique costs a heavy amount of Ground energy to use, and will have no effect on the opponent when first used.

Decreased the damage and increased the energy cost. I kinda want Rapid Spin punishing the be the point, the sig isn't that powerful otherwise.

Mercutio: Good for you but I don't want to set a precedent of punishing people for destroying entry hazards. Rejected.

Traptrix Nepenthes: Level 1 Female Bellsprout
"Getting my hands dirty isn't my style, but it is something I must do. I will make this as quick and painful as possible."
Spoiler: show
Bio: Remember how I said travels through dimension jungles generally result in being attacked by groping plants and that was soon to come? PSYCHE! Not happening here! I fooled ya! To the bio.

After picking up Atrax into our group, we continued walking through the forest, trying to trace our way back to where we came in to this dimension. Too bad we didn't have a trail of breadcrumbs to lead us back to where we came from. So, we were basically lost with no way out of the jungle. And little food. Or drinking water. This simply was not good for any of us. We ended up walking into a patch of pitcher plants, which was quite large and could easily fit three to four people. On the ground in front of us was another girl, this one with blond hair, going around and picking flowers. She looked at us briefly, before turning around and walking away. "Hey, Nepenthes, its me! Atrax!" "Yes, I know it was you." Nepenthes then turns around and gives a large sigh. "Hello, sister. I thought the rule between us was not to fraternize with dinner?" "Well, yeah, see, that's the thing...it kinda ended up that they took me in." "Took you in? Surprise, surprise. I wonder how that could happen." Remilia stepped in at this point. "I ended up showing her what happens when you attack the Scarlet Devil and try to screw with her boyfriend." Nepenthes then gives a giggle. "Scarlet Devil? What an interesting name. Might I ask for your true name however?" "Remilia. Remilia Scarlet." "Quite the gorgeous name, Remilia. It's rare that one finds prey that can fight back." Nepenthes then looks at me. "And your name is...?" "My name is Blaze." "Charmed to meet you Blaze. My name is Nepenthes." She then signal Atrax to come over to her, leaving Remilia and myself alone.

"She's quite polite compared to Atrax." "Yeah, its kinda nice. But she seems quite cold." "Hmm. Like ice. I wonder if it has crossed her mind to kill us yet." Meanwhile, a seperate conversation between Atrax and Nepenthes ensued. "Atrax! You know what you were trying to do is forbidden! What would happen if mother found out..." "Mother can go eat me. Why should I be denied the miracle? Why should see be the only one to be able to sire?" "Because that is the way the natural order is. We are imperfect as it is, and imperfection only breeds stronger imperfection. She would kill you and the offspring as soon as she heard. It seems I'm going to have to come along with to make sure you behave." "Bite me." Atrax and Nepenthes then come back over, and Nepenthes then gives a short bow. "Blaze, Remilia, it is my request that I also accompany you. No one knows the paths around the forest better than I do. Plus, I need to make sure my sister acts like a proper lady instead of a slut." "Nepenthes! You vile piece of garbage!"

We soon found our way back to where we came into this dimension, and another portal opened up, allowing all of us to come through. When Nepenthes came through, she dimension shifted into a Bellsprout, but like her sister she quickly regained human form. "What an interesting side effect. I'm sure it might come in handy soon." With that, she walked away from us. Nepenthes isn't seen much, often reading in the library or in her room in our base, tending to her garden, but when Atrax is around she tries her best to keep her in line. Lest Mother find out...

Special Attack: Nepenthes's Secret Poison Traps(POI)
Nephenthes scatters an array of poisons around herself, the toxins immediately sinking into the surface of the arena. Much like Stealth Rock, these poisons lurk within the arena, biding their time. However, unlike Stealth Rock, these toxins will not take effect when an opponent switches in, but, it will take effect when an opponent's stats are altered. This attack is about as strong as Thundershock, but with a twist. If the opponent uses a boosting move like Swords Dance or Nasty Plot, this attack will activate and deal damage as if the move was boosted by Swords Dance. If the opponent uses a move like Harden or Amnesia, the attack will deal damage as if the opponent had their defense lowered by the same amount. If the opponent uses a boosting move that doesn't affect the attack or defense stats, it will only deal moderate damage. If the boost is a secondary effect, such as with Charge Beam, this move will still work as normal. This move costs significant energy to use, and cannot be Rapid Spinned away. However, a Water attack can wash it away.

Mercutio: How can it be washed away? Rejected.

Carmina: Level 1 Female Misdreavus
Carmina isn't exactly the spirit of a spellcaster, though she likes to tell everyone that she is the spirit of the High Priestess of Prophecy. She's not, don't let her fool you, she is just a normal Misdreavus that can speak and perform magic. You know, I didn't think of it like that before. Anyways, even if she isn't the spirit of a famous spellcaster, she still has magical powers, which are eerily similar to the Spellbook cards...maybe we've been wrong the entire time? Maybe not, as she only has magic from three spellbooks: the Grimoire Spellbook, the Sefer Spellbook, and Hygro Spellbook.
Special Technique: Spellbooks open! (Normal)
Carmina can use her three Spellbooks in battle. Each one costs good energy and can only be used once per battle. (Look in bio for appearances, too lazy to put them here.)
Grimoire Spellbook: This spellbook allows Carmina to use one of her opponent's moves until the end of the next round.
Sefer Spellbook: This spellbook allows Carmina to use one of her spellbooks again, except for Sefer Spellbook.
Hygro Spellbook: This spellbook gives Carmina a 20% boost to her offensive stats, until the end of the next round. If she knocks out an opponent while this Spellbook is in effect, she can use one of her teammate's moves until the end of the next round.

Carmina cannot use Screech, Nasty Plot, or Shadow Ball, even with her Spellbooks. They just weren't compatible.

Mercutio: Two sigs in one AND one of the spell books lets you cancel out the once per battle clause? Not even slightly. Rejected.

Adreus: Level 1 Male Bouffalant
Adreus was a regular Bouffalant who lived in a normal Bouffalant herd, chasing out people who did not have a sick ass afro on their head. Well, until they started coming in with bulldozers and Fighting types. They tore down the forest that Adreus lived in, driving his herd out of the way in order to increase human progress. On the once proud forest they built a nuclear reactor, and they dumped the waste a small distance away where they were sure it would not affect anyone.

About a year later, the Bouffalant lead an invasion against the nuclear reactor, and Adreus fell into the pit of nuclear waste when another Boffalant hit the controls for the gate. He stayed down there while the waste slowly irridiated him. Normally this would kill a Bouffalant, but in this case, because this is a comic!sig, Bouffalant transformed into Adreus, the Bull of Armageddon!

Now, he was an even more sick-ass motherfucker, smiting evildoers by bursting into black flames and toppling over evil people. Smiting evildoers like Armageddon, bitch!
Special Attack: Fires of Armageddon! (UNKNOWN)
Once per round, Adreus can burst into black flames that give off no light. These flames have a special property that allows his physical attacks to deal an extra 25% damage to Dark, Ghost, and Fighting types, and they allow him to hit Ethereal or Gaseous ghosts for full damage. He can be ordered to use this technique by saying "Armageddon [insert physical move here]." This increases the energy needed for the attack by 30%, and it has no effect on his special moves. He loses the moves: Pursuit, Taunt, Payback, Revenge, Rock Smash, and Superpower.

Mercutio: I'm trying to scale power down so make it 20% (you can make energy 25%). Rejected.

Roku: level 2 Male Charmeleon
Biography:
Roku spent some time among the Charizard of Charicific Valley as a guest trainer. He explored the possibility of using more hand on hand combat. Specifically the applications of his claws against his opponent. While training, Charizard tosses around large bolders for Roku to break with his bare claws. At first, he was unsuccessful to even break rocks that were the size of his body, but as time went on, his claws gained a substantial boost in power. Whether through the use of metal claw to break larger bolders, or even using dragon claw to exert more damage against his sparring partner; Roku demonstrated in a short amount of time a great improvement in his abilities to use claw-based moves.

Special Training: Tough Claws [Various]
Roku trained amongst the toughest Charizard of the bunch. With his productive training, he has now gained a stronger power within his claws. Therefore, any move that involves the use of his claws deal an extra 20% in damage, at the expense of 20% additional of energy.

Tui: Level 2 Female Munna
Biography
Sadness creeps my heart, knowing that even in a city such as Castelia City, poverty still exists. When a trainer goes through poverty, so does the pokemon. This is a story of adversity, of how a small tapir was able to survive alone in the sewers of Castelia City. The small little cutie named Tui the Munna, was abandoned by her trainer due to lack of affordability; the trainer could no longer purchase pokemon food, take him to the pokemon center, or even travel to sustain his life. Tui was very young at the time of his release, and did not quite understand the circumstances. Alas, she retreated to sewers of Castelia City, which seemed to be the place where all of societies’ rejects end up at. Being a psychic pokemon was tough for Tui, as he could not relate to the other pokemon living in the sewers. That all changed once she befriended a lonely grimer. They became a dynamic duo, running around the sewers, stealing from the local cabbage cart; they did it all together. She grew accustomed to the life in the sewers. Everything changed once the rattata gang attacked. Grimer and Tui combined their skilled, but the ratatta gang was too strong. Unknown to all of them, there was a radioactive batch that was a byproduct of the evil oil corporates living in Castelia City. The signed looked something like toxic waste sign.

After Tui emerged from the radioactive waste, she noticed something strange about herself. It’s if she gained powers unforeseeable to her. Next thing you know, she was firing off acid at the rattata. The rats scrammed away immediately because they were terrified of what they were facing. She went back and helped his friend Grimer get out of the batch of acid. Grimer seemed slightly different as well, but Tui couldn’t decipher what it was.
Then comes in me, a trainer strolling around the sewers looking for rare candies, or if I’m lucky a nugget, and of course seeing a very strange looking munna. I proceeded to capture her with my Oogie's Earth Power, and she seemed to have taken a huge hit. Nevertheless, I tossed my pokeball at her, and success! I captured Tui the Munna. I took her to the local Pokemon Center, and the nurse - named Jackie - explained that this particular Munna seemed different from the rest. Nurse Jackie explained that this was no regular Munna as she seemed to have familiarity with poison moves. Further lab analysis show some of her DNA markers had some coding from a different genome, matching some sequences to that of Grimer. She broke down the lab results.

Special Training: Radioactive Mutation [PO]
Munna has poison familiarity. She is now able to use the moves acid, acid spray, acid armor, and sludge. However, Tui would never able to use the moves psywave, psyshock, attract, trick room, wonder room, and trick.

Mercutio: Yeah type familiarity is generally almost as good offensively as a type change and way easier to get. Approved.

Wan Shi Tong: Level 1 Sigilyph
Biography:
Day seven. The Xatu tribe still believe me to be a long lost evolution. They keep feeding me, and teaching me the ways of the Xatu. Incognito mode has fully kicked in, and they are starting to share their secrets. A magical stick is passed among the Xatu, it seems as form of bonding. The magical stick has passed by Wa Shi Tong's lower fork tail several times. Eventually he learned how to pass the stick himself, really feeling joyful that he feels like one of them now.

Special Training: Passing as one of them [NO]
Wan Shi Tong learned baton pass from the fellow Xatu tribe. To blend in though, he lost the ability to use ice beam, charge beam, and double team.

Mercutio: Approved.

Climey: Female Latias
SC: Latias' body is shaped for optimal aerodynamics, allowing Latias to reach high speeds and perform agile maneuvers with great ease. Latias' body is covered in a fine down of refractive feather-like scales which allow it to reflect light to appear invisible. This ability is similar to the invisibility usable by Ghosts, but is difficult to maintain for an extended period of time, and can only be used for two rounds per battle.
The Ying to Articuno's Yang. They're inseparable.
Special Attack: Soul Drain (Psychic)
Using her psychic abilities, her opponent gets covered in a psychic aura. The aura uses light energy to use, and is rather quick to set up. The next attack used by her enemy will have one half of its energy stolen. The attack will be half as strong or effective due to the energy being sapped. In addition, the aura will then vanish and that stolen energy will be given to Latias instead. Energy stolen will only work on attacks, and will not activate on movements and/or minor actions like dodging or turning invisible. It cannot be used on dark type Pokemon. This attack is usable three times per battle, and only twice per opponent.

Mercutio: No bio is lazy. Make it cost more energy and make it twice per battle. Rejected.

Pimp Master Jay: Male Mr. Mime
Pimp Master Jay is a professional pimp. He managed to land the finishing blow on Ho-oh. That earns you some respect, you know. But he left the pimping life behind. He was last heard muttering how it is not easy, and left that life behind.
Special Training: Pimpin' Ain't Easy (Psychic)
In order to keep the ladies (and men) at bay, he learned how to perfect his protection abilities. Light Screen and Barrier, will now block up to an extreme amount of damage before dissipating, due to having mastery of these types of attacks as a Mr. Mime. In addition, he can use Reflect once and not have it count towards the "once per battle" rule.

Mercutio: Two sigs in one. Rejected.

Santa: Male Delibird
Santa had to stop delivering presents due to developing a gambling and drinking problem. He decided to use this to his advantage.
Special Training: Gambler (Normal)
Present now deals 2 levels higher damage or healing when used. For example, Light damage would become Moderate. This allows Santa to surpass the old maximum level of Heavy on the highest damage, up to Major. However the healing is also increased 2 levels as well. The up side is that the chance to heal is not increased from its normal chance.

Mercutio: Approved.

Genderless Scyther // Level 1
Biography

During the Warring States era of Kanto, where feudal lords settled petty disagreements with debts of blood, few found the time to care for the faceless dead. Few of the peasants in the slums surrounding the gated capitol city bothered to concern themselves with the discarded husk of a wandering ronin. Fewer still realized that this ronin, actually a Pokemon, was poisoned and hacked to death by ninja during the night, after the Pokemon treated himself to a quiet drink and a soft bed. None realized that he was one of the most elite swordsmen of the era, capable of cutting swords as if they were blades of grass, and halting even the most furious attacks of a skilled warrior.

Centuries later, scientists and engineers recovered the exoskeleton of Scyther, and vowed to rebuild him with modern technology. Such swordsmanship was a skill lost to time, and since the ability to deftly handle a blade is as much muscle memory as it is knowledge, by reconstructing Scyther they could unleash his skills on the world once more.

Signature Training
Heart of Steel - Type Change (Steel)

Returned to life as a cyborg, Scyther is now a Flying/Steel Pokemon, with all of his chitin replaced by tempered steel, and most of his internal organs reconstructed artificially. Scyther no longer has a physical sex but considers himself male. Because he has so little organic matter left, Scyther cannot evolve. His vision had to be completely reconstructed, so Scyther only sees in infrared, making Pokemon who do not give off a heat signature (up to referee discretion) invisible to him. To compensate for this, he was programmed with the attack Lock-On, which allows him to successfully fight invisible threats.

Mercutio: I could do with one more drawback. Rejected.

Soar: Skarmory level 1 Female
Special Attack: Ion Cannon
Soar charges steel energy in the same manner as a Flash Cannon before firing a shinning golden beam of Steel energy that deals Major damage. This move has a 30% chance of causing Confusion due to all the flashing lights.

Mercutio: Approved.

Nibbles: Mawile level 1 Female
Special Attack: Magnets
Basically a Steel type Stealth Rock were Nibbles uses Significant energy to form several spheres of steel, this process takes around 5 seconds to complete. The spheres then act exactly like Stealth Rock and strike the opponent for moderate damage before falling to the ground, when a new Pokemon is sent out the unique magnetic field that surrounds them upon being released causes the spheres to rise up and slam into the new target. Since it requires magnetism the hot weather brought with Sunny Day or an extremely hot arena will cause the trap to fail due to the disruption of the magnetic field. The spheres can be cleared like any other entry hazard or the use of strong fire based attacks may destroy them at the refs discretion.

Mercutio: Give something up. Rejected.

Screwy: Magnemite level 1
Special Attack: Thunder Cage
Screwy unleashes multiple tendrils of electricity that wrap around his foe trapping them in a cage of living electricity for 25 seconds. While in the cage the Pokemon will be shocked by some discharge for moderate damage. If they should try to force their way out of the cage they will take more damage, up to an additional moderate amount depending on the pokemons size, and run a 20% risk of paralysis. This move costs Screwy a Considerable amount of energy.

Mercutio: Is the paralysis affected by type? Tell us more about what happens with larger targets. Rejected.

Rose: Rotom level 2 Female
Hidden Power: Grass
Bio: Rose has always felt cheated by fate when it came to her move pool. She was one of the few ghosts that didn't get a grass type move, even water and fire type ghost got one why didn't she? Half of this frustration came from her past life were she was a gardener who loved raising flowers, but now she was forcefully separated from not only her flowers but from the type energy that she loved so dearly. This eventually grew into deep and vile thoughts towards everything around her.
Special Training: Nasty Thoughts
Rose can now use Nasty Plot.

Mercutio: Approved.

Mark: Gastly level 1 Male
Special Attack: Gas Choke (Ghost/Poison)
Using solid energy Mark expands his poison gas body into a ghostly cloud before enveloping his opponents face smoldering them. While this is going on Mark begins sucking away at their energy at a moderate rate, using the energy to restore a good portion of its own energy and recover health slightly. If while he is doing this the opponent breaths in any of the cloud they have a 50% chance of being poisoned under normal conditions. Since Mark spreads himself so thin during this move special attacks that normally deal only 10% now deal the standard amount. On top of this since he becomes cloud like wind based attacks have a greater effect on him and can easily blow him off his opponents face.

Mercutio: No.

May: Surskit level 1 Female
Special Technique: Speed Master
Having to out speed dive bombing birds all her life May is now an expert in speed related move and now can go twice as far with Quick Attack and Aqua jet than normal without losing any speed.

Mercutio: Approved.

Smasher: Cranidos level 1 Male
Bio: Smasher is a special case Cranidos who doesn't like doing headbutts like his brothers and sisters, which is due to a traumatic head injury he suffered at an early age. This lead him to develope something outside of the typical elemental headbutts that are almost a standard of his kin. Instead he likes to stomp on his prey with a well aimed jump.
Special Attack: Meteor Crash (Varied)
No matter what typing variant he uses he always starts by jumping into the air and ends by landing a elementally charged Stomp on his foe. He can currently only use four types of Meteor Crash. Frigid Crash (Ice), Burning Crash (Fire), Shocking Crash (Electric), and Meteor Crash (Rock). Because of the training he put into developing this move he never learned the moves Blizzard, Fire Blast, Thunder, and Head Smash.

Mercutio: Approved.

Remelia: Gligar level 1 Female
Bio: Being born a lousy flyer Remelia turned to her *cough* cousins for inspiration on how to work around her flaws in order to survive on the field of battle. The source of inspiration she found was the piplups a bird who depsite having wings couldn't fly, this struck a cord of kinship on some level with her and she tried to learn all she could from how they adapted from trying to fly to master swimmers. Of course Remelia was no fool and had no intention of getting wet trying to learn how to swim, but she decided to instead of focusing on learning how to fly through the sky how to fly through the earth.
Special Training: Earth Flyer
With the aid of her formidable fore claws Remelia is able to dig underground at higher speeds and through harder material is normal for a ground type.

Mercutio: Approved.

Sanaki: Ekans level 1 Female
Special Training: Adder
All of Sanaki's Biting techniques have a 10% chance of inflicting toxic poisoning.

Mercutio: Not Toxic. Rejected.

Duster: Aerodactyl level 1 Male
Bio: Regardless of his impressive jaw and bulk Duster actually prefers to keep his combat in the long range department not only that he enjoys focusing on the special side of things too. When I asked him about this he just gave me a yawn and went to sleep. However this habit was becoming problematic as the only rock type move that fit this category was ancient power and it lacked the staying power needed to grasp a victory from near defeat. So I asked him to come up with a new rock type move that he would enjoy using and packed a wallop.
Special Attack: Vortex (Rock)
Gathering a significant amount of rock type energy in his wings Duster goes into the normal motions required to produce a twister, only this ones a solid swirling mass of rock type energy. Unlike its flying counter part that picks things up, this tornado throws everything back down to the earth causing some additional impact damage to any flying types or air borne Pokemon who get thrown into the ground.

Mercutio: Damage and energy? Rejected.

Bubble Gum: Mankey level 1 Male
Special Technique: Monkey Rage
If Bubble Gum is behind by at least a HB of health when he enters his final quarter he'll enter a state of pure rage, much like the one when he's stared at, at how poorly he's doing and will gain a Swords Dance boost to his attack. (This boost will act exactly like a normal boost would.) During which time Bubble Gum can not be recalled by any means or use anything but attacks on his hated foe.

Mercutio: A better drawback please.

Wisp: Charmeleon level 2 Female
Hidden Power: Ground
Bio: Continually tired of how easily Pokemon dodge his most powerful fire type attacks Wisp decided to make one of her own by stealing the attack form from another type that never seems to have a problem landing its blows.
Special Attack: Hell Blizzard (Fire)
Wisp inhales deeply (or flaps vigorously once evolved) and produces a powerful burst of scorching hot air, embers and fireballs, which hit the opponent for major damage, although it is concentrated. The material comes from either the user's mouth (or wings). This attack has a 10-30% chance of burning its victim with the percentage increasing the closer Wisp is to her target. Though the attack is fast and powerful, the build-up may take some time and will leave Wisp a little winded immediately afterwards.

Mercutio: Approved.

Cuddles: Wooper level 1 Female
Special Attack: Land Mine (Ground)
A Ground type variation of Stealth Rock that begins with Cuddles spitting several earthen disks from her mouth at her for dealing moderate damage. After the initial impact the disks sink into the ground and await the next pokemon to be sent out. When a new pokemon is sent out the disks react to the energies of the released pokemon and cause a massive explosion of ground type energy, similar to earth power, to the new pokemon dealing moderate damage. Flying type pokemon who are released higher into the air and have limitless flight ceilings will never set the landmines off. However pokemon with levitation/flight ceilings at the trainers waist and below will be sensed by the land mines and set them off. This move costs a significant amount of energy to use and can only be use once per battle.

Mercutio: Make it destructible and give something up. Rejected.

Anna: Ivysuar level 2 Female
Hidden Power: Bug
Special Training: Poison Nature
All of Anna's Grass type moves have a 10% chance of inflicting poison on her foe at the cost of 1.15 additional energy.

Mercutio: 1.15 doesn't mean anything without a unit. Rejected.

Paula: Kirlia level 3 Female
Bio: Paula grew up working in her family business as a day care aid, which was made a whole lot simpler by her psychic powers of awareness and ability to lift things. Even with these assets she had difficulty calming the babies down when they got riled up about something. To calm them down she'd preform a trick her mother taught her and blow plenty of bubbles then have them dance around the room with her psychic powers. One day when she was doing this she ran out of bubble mix and the whole day care went into an uproar for the next six hours as the baby whismur wouldn't stop crying till he say the pretty bubbles dancing. After that day Paula began training tirelessly so that she could make bubbles by herself so that something so disastrous wouldn't happen at the day care ever again.
Special Training: Dancing Bubbles
Paula can now use Bubble Beam and has enough energy to use it twice.

Mercutio: Approved.

Roy: Murkrow level 1 Male
Bio: When you run with the mob like the Murkrow do being able to fly away isn't fast enough you got to learn how to hit and run or end up a meat shield for someone who can.
Special Attack: Hit and Run (Dark)
Roy concentrates, using a significant amount of energy to surround himself in an aura of Dark energy. The user then charges into the target, releasing part of the energy into the opponent to deal moderate damage before using the rest to return to its pokeball. Can only be used twice per battle.

Mercutio: Approved.

Stary: Sableye level 1 Female
Special Training: you are what you eat
Over the years of consuming gem stones Stary has gained a rock type familiarity, on the same level of a water type with ice type energy.

Mercutio: Approved.

Tinsel: Joltik level 1 Female
Special Training: Leeching Web (Bug)
Tinsel fires a large web onto her opponent, which then begins to slowly absorb both health and energy from the target. The web isn't too difficult to get off, although additional layers of other web related moves will make it increasingly difficult to remove and it might hinder the opponent's movement. The energy will not be transfered to her until she makes direct contact with the web or connects with it via string shot. If the web gets destroyed the health and energy sapped is lost.

Mercutio: Approved.

Azula: Level 1 Female Larvesta
"True power, the divine right to rule, is something you're born with"
Spoiler: show
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, in an eon of a distant realm, the land was divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. And they lived together in harmony. However, everything changed in this land when the Fire Nation attacked. Peace was broken, and a long war of mortals and Pokémon began. As the war ravaged the ravines, flame-based Pokémon gained ascendancy in the land of Fire, led by an ancient Volcarona of legend. Descended from this line, Azula was considered a Princess of sorts by her peers. Instructed by the finest in the ways of the Sun and of Fire, Azula honed and practiced until she was meticulous. As the Princess, she had a divine duty to her people to burn those who dared to oppose the Way of Fire. And who would the weak follow except the strong? Only power and fear could be relied upon.

The Fire Nation worshipped the Sun, believing that they drew their pyrokinetic powers from Solar Energies. The Sun was a goddess spirit who blessed the land of Fire and from it, the ability to distill flames ignited. To Azula and the Fire Nation, this was the truth. Hence, Azula was taught to follow the Sun and learn its ways. Only perfection was allowed. Those who did not heed the ways of the Sun would falter and fail at the hands of the other Nations, especially those bearing the power of Water from the Southern and Northern Poles. For this reason, the denizens of Fire perfected their worship of the Sun and its properties, channelling this religious fervour into an apotheosis of solar energy that could be utilised in battle. You live or you die under the sun: that is the Fire Nation way.

And how can a mere insect be perfect if she was so immobile? In order to methodically destroy one's opponents, one had to be swift and ruthless. Azula's father had inculcated her to believe this notion from a young age. Azula feared that any sense of weakness, of kindness, and of mercy would cost her the battle. She had to quick. But if she's so grounded, how could she defeat her enemies? That was when she discovered that Fire had its many ways of overcoming the insurmountable, including propulsion and levitation by flames...

Eventually, Azula was instructed by her father to spearhead the Fire Nation assault into the Earth Kingdom. She took this duty with great honor. Cold and callous, the Fire Princess would incinerate all in the name of the Sun. Many claimed that the Fire Nation would eventually fail; nobody could be perfect. But Azula thought she could. She never miscalculates. Even when she chose to travel with a Trainer, it was a means to an end: a Trainer can help one grow, Evolve...

As the Sun sets in the West, in the Fire Nation, Azula believes that she has the divine right to rule. Power is something that you are born with, not something you can earn. And the War will end... but at what cost?

Hidden Power - Water

Special Training: Ka'en Ojou (火炎王女/"Fire Princess")
Much like Luke's Larvesta from the Anime, Azula now constantly levitates herself a short distance above the ground through passive fire propulsion. She will also move rather well in the air, with reasonable swiftness and agility, although she won't be able to levitate higher than the Trainer's head. Moreover, Sunny Day will last one round longer than normal if used by Azula.

Mercutio: Two sigs in one, so no. But what happens to the main part of this when she evolves? Rejected.

Brady: Cottonee Lv 1 (M)
Sig: Special Training: Galeforce
When Brady knocks out a foe's Pokemon, he will restore a good amount of both health and general energy, although he will not feel refreshed. This will only activate once per battle. If the foe is knocked out by indirect damage (such as poisoning) or energy exhaustion, Brady must have been the one to set it in motion for Galeforce to take effect.

Mercutio: Good idea. Approved.

To fly, Scyther relies on jet propulsion rather than the force generated by insect wings. This gives him greater power (+15%) and speed (+15%) for wing-aided and/or Flying-type moves, but doubles the flying energy use compared against a normal Scyther. Reliance on jets means Scyther also has reduced mobility in the air, so he cannot dodge attacks as well as other Pokemon in flight.

Mercutio: This seems to get less passable but more cool every time. No jet pack and I still need a better drawback. Rejected.

When a pokemon is affected by this move (either by activation or switching in) they are inflicted with a terrible headache for 1 turns. This headache does everything a headache would do- create difficulty concentrating, irritability, greater vulnerability to mind affecting attacks, etc. A pokemon affected by this will have trouble forming and using attacks that expend significant damage or more. The attacks in question will more than likely fail or will be released in a greatly weaker form. Ralts cannot use Synchronoise or Stored Power.

Mercutio: Yeah give up moves you're actually going to use :p Rejected.

Tori: Level 1 Female Croagunk
Bio: Tori, a recent addition, was the old companion of a relatively minor Pokemon Professor. This professor, probably with some sort of arboreal name, was studying the differences in poisoned statuses of Pokemon, which Tori aided through use of her Poison-type capabilities. While unable to lead to any clear conclusions, Tori was able to learn much about her own abilities and develop a new technique.
Signature Technique: Impurity (PO)
Using significant energy, Tori spews a bright yellow-green glob of liquid onto her target or injects it into their body using her fists (must be specified). For the first round, the attack simply seeps into the skin, doing nothing. For the following three sounds, however, the afflicted Pokemon's offensive attacks will deal half Poison-type damage, regardless of the Pokemon's type or used moves' types. For example, an afflicted Pikachu's Thunderbolt will deal half Electric-, half Poison-typed damage, (this will not drain on the affected Pokemon's Poison energy though; the only change is to the damage dealt, not energy expended). It does not function like any regular toxin, as it does not deal sap health from the affected Pokemon. After the three rounds, the target will have become accustomed to Impurity, removing the effects and making it slightly more resistant to Sleep, Poison, and Confusion for the remainder of its time battling. This technique can only be used once successfully on a target and no more than twice per battle. Pokemon immune/resistant to poisoning will also be immune/resistant to this technique. Tori is unable to use Meditate and Bulk Up due to deficiencies in her training.

Mercutio: I rather like this. Approved.

Ghost Princess: Level 2 Female Frillish
Bio: Ghost Princess, formerly known as Warrior Princess, is a wandering soul stuck on the mortal plane due to her inability to remember who had killed her. She was a valiant ruler, in both politics and war before her untimely death. Her skill in combat has stayed with her even after death.
Signature Training: Swordsmanship
Ghost Princess can use Sacred Sword twice per match. She is unable to use Spite.

Mercutio: You want a legend move, you give me a legendary bio. Rejected.

A long long time ago, in a place far far away, there was a Latios and Latias. It was impossible to separate them. Through good times and hardships they traveled the world and their friendship grew. Despite being the exceptionally elusive duo, they did meet some unfortunate circumstances. It was a rainy day when a greedy trainer got the sneak on Latios. He coated himself with a dark aura with his Pokemon, using Pursuit. They managed to track him down and he used a Masterball to catch the legend without fail. With her partner got, she was quite furious. She felt devastated because she lost her friend, but more so for the underhanded and cheating tactics. To make it worse, Latios was used for evil purposes. She had to find a way to get him out of there. After trying for quite some time to train and master a new attack, she finally figured it out. She would use a technique similar to his. By coating her enemy in a dark aura, she would be able to get what she wants from them. One fateful day, some time later, she used the technique on him and peered into his mind. But it was too late, he had already sold Latios off. She would have never attacked a human but after what he has done, she had to. She flew off, searching to find the one taken from her. She had a fateful encounter with a rival trainer, and wanted nothing less to be captured by a human. However after proving her worth, she decided to trust this human. She was powerful enough of a trainer to help Latias search for the one stolen from the world.
Special Attack: Soul Drain (Psychic)
Using her psychic abilities, her opponent gets covered in a psychic aura. The aura uses moderate energy to use, and is rather quick to set up. This attack is usable two times per battle.

Mercutio: Clarify that the energy returned is returned as typeless energy, not as type energy. Then this is probably ok, because let's face it, Latias gets Protect.

Mime.

Mercutio: Approved.

Edel the male “Jade” Onix lv 2
Biography: Edel might just be one of the more unique pokemon in my arsenal. I found him while crossing a mountain valley where it lay on the ground, wounded. At first I was curious as I did not recognize immediatly what kind of pokemon it was. At first sight, it looked like a large green snake, much larger then any serperior I've ever seen and far more robust. Upon closer examination I discovered that it was actually a 'green' looking onix. It being already wounded, it was quite easy for me to catch him and bring him to the nearest pokemon center I could find.
Over there, they were as surprised as me because the onix was a different shade of green then the relatively uncommon shiny onix. Adding on that they've discovered that any treatment that would normally work on Ground type pokemon did not work in the slightest. As it turned out, Edel had a peculiar body structure which made his body not consist out of rock but out of pure green jadestone. Little did I know, this was to be Edel's greatest assets for becoming one of my strongest pokemon.
Hidden power: Water
Special Training: Shine bright like a jadestone! (Rock)
Due to Edel being purely made of jadestone, Edel is a pure rock type and as thus inherits the weaknesses and strengths of a pure rock type as wel as losing his familiarity with ground energy. As a result of being made of Jadestone, Edel has become far harder then a normal onix and as such his attacks that require him to make contact are 1.25x stronger however he takes 1.25x more damage from moves like Rock Smash. He's no longer able to use Sand tomb, Mud Sport, Sandstorm and Earthquake. In return he has learned Head Smash and Power Gem. Himself being made from jadestone, he's unable to evolve to the steelix line.

Mercutio: Up the bio, give me much better drawbacks and probably lose the 1.25x thing. Rejected.

Rawr the male Teddiursa lv 1
Biography:
The sun bear is a bear found in the tropical forest habitats of Southeast Asia. It is also known as the “honey bear”, which refers to its voracious appetite for honeycombs and honey
Source: wikipedia
Rawr is from a subspecies of teddiursa and ursaring that is akin more to the sun bear then any other teddiursa or ursaring on the planet. His appetite for honey is so big, that he'd rather choose honey over a female off his species. I literally found him climbing a 10 meter tall tree just to get to the honeycomb. While some would find this obsession with honey to be a disadvantage, Rawr has found a way to turn it into an advantage.
Hidden Power: Dark
Special Technique (Normal): Bring meh the honey!
While Rawrs subspecies love for honey is already enormous, Rawr has taken this to the extreme. By using moderate normal energy, he can literally barf up a stream of honey from his mouth and aim it at his opponent. If this attack connects, his opponent is essentially marked with honey and while this doesn't hinder them that much, it makes it so that teddiursa always knows where his opponent is. When the honey is placed, every attack that effects teddiursa's smell is negated. This attack can only be used two times per battle.

Mercutio: Approved.

Maroni the female Basculin lv 1 (Red striped version)
Biography: Maroni is really an odd fish, Normally the Basculin species swim in schools but I found her all alone. It was very weird but because it was alone I figured it would be an easy catch. Great was my surprise that when I got closer out of nowhere several Basculins appeared and attacked me. When I took my distance again the other Basculins vanished again, leavin Maroni for herself. At first I thought, I found a species of teleporting Basculin but the truth was for from it.
Maroni is actually a bit mentally ill. Nothing serious but it severly handicapped her into working with her school. To make up for this inability to work in her school, she adapted the ability to create a school of Basculin clones around her. Her mental illness turned out to be the thing that would set her apart of most Basculin schools as she had the same level of danger but solely on her own. Even more she was able to freely manipulate and control her clones and even change the energy she originally made them off.
Special Attack (Various): Piranha Pack:
When sent out, 6 Basculin clones are made, each pair of Basculin having a different type energy stated when sent out and cannot change during the battle. The creation of these clones is counted as a move in the beginning and takes significant energy. For the most part these clones will just swim around Maroni, orbiting around her for about 2 meter. Maroni can let one of these clones intercept or attack an opponent. These clones will attack by exploding and deals a fair amount of damage in the stated type energy. If all clones are gone, Maroni cannot recreate them until her next battle. While she has all the energy pools to create her clones, she does not gain extra energy for when the type is not chosen. She also isn't able to use her hidden power.

Mercutio: Basculin sucks but nothing sucks this much. Rejected.

Rocket the male Hitmonlee lv 2
Biography: Rocket was my very first pokemon and he's considered my partner in crime. We've been together for as long as I remember when he was just a Tyrogue. In the team he's kinda the leader around. Everyone looks up to him and would follow him to the death. While he's not the most unique of my team, he makes up for it with his charisma and likeable attitude and I wouldn't wish for a better partner.
Aside from ASB, Rocket has one big passion, football. In his spare time he is in a amateur club that is actually quite succesfull in all the amateur league's. He has the position of passer and he's probably one of the best of them all that I've seen. Being able to effectively pass the ball from one side of the field to someone at the other side.
Hidden power: Dark
Special Training: Passing the ball (XX)
Rocket has learned Baton Pass

Mercutio: Approved.

Woa Fearow: Level 3 Female Fearow
"He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from the mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls."

Such are the words of the great Alfred, Lord Tennyson on the magnificent creature. Being a true lover of poetry, Woa Fearow has fallen in love with this poem, and practised for hours to fulfill the poem...

In her own twisted way, because this bird is batshit insane. After a long period of training, including a time when she dunked her head into an aquarium and then pecked at an electrical transformer- in that order- she finally managed to learn some stuff.

Special Training: Nature, red in tooth and claw
Woa Fearow knows Water Gun("wrinkled sea") and Thunderbolt(...). She has the type energy to use each twice per battle, though the second usage will be weakened a little.

Male Kadabra // Level 2
Biography
Kadabra grew up among the mobsters of Glasgow City, acting as a mind-reader and informant for the Don of one of the more powerful underground crime syndicates. As Kadabra's reading usually incited violence, resulting in the deaths of many bodyguards, the Don had Kadabra trained in the art of assassination, but being a Pokemon without a bladed weapon he usually only knocked out his opponents. Kadabra's position among the mob secure, he loyally served his boss for decades until, bored of card games, he "backstabbed" his boss and set out on his own.

Signature Attack: Backstab (Psychic)
Kadabra flips his spoon around, gripping the handle like a stabbing weapon, and charges it with Psychic energy, then strikes the opponent with the spoon for decent damage. If he successfully strikes his opponent's back or dorsal area (for Pokemon that don't stand upright) this technique has a 25% chance of significant damage and/or paralysis. Kadabra must make physical contact with the opponent for this attack to have any effect.

Mercutio: Specify energy. Rejected.

Male Dratini // Level 2
Biography
In the distant past, humanity was threatened by various alien races weilding advanced technology or boasting complex biology. Humans and Pokemon combined their powers and knowledge to fight back the threats, but many lives were lost, forgotten by history. Dratini was one of the Pokemon Warriors who traveled around and beyond the solar system to combat these threats, doing so on ships traveling at sublight speed. The lone survivor of mankind's final offensive against the aliens, Dratini made the lonely journey back home from deep space, but due to the effects of time dilation, while he only aged a few months, millennia had passed on Earth. Dratini found himself alone in an unfamiliar world, with powers unlike those seen in the world of today.

Signature Attack: Gamma-Ray Burst (Dragon)
Pokemon Warriors of the past drew inspiration from celestial phenomenon when developing attacks to repel the alien threat, and Dratini's technique represents the power of a star. It erups from his mouth as an invisible, narrow column of energy that instantaneously atomizes anything in its path, equivalent to a double strength Hyper Beam that does not lose strength over distance or cause explosions on impact. The force of the blast creates a powerful, slower shockwave with a much higher area of effect that causes significant damage. When fired toward the open sky, the attack neutralizes weather conditions by depleting the local ozone layer, further preventing weather for a few rounds until the atmosphere naturally restores itself. This area is easily identified by a lingering aurora-coloured afterglow. All Pokemon under the depleted ozone have a small chance of being burned by the unshielded solar radiation.

The Gamma-Ray Burst was intended to be fired from planets or satellites at large, heavily armoured objects in space, so several weaknesses have been revealed upon its use on Earth. While "accurate" in a sense of the energy column stays true to its flight path, it is very difficult to aim at any range. Other beam attacks, which are slower and visible, are easier to control by the user and can be adjusted to track moving targets, but the Gamma-Ray Burst's speed and invisibility make this impossible. If the target is performing basic evasive maneuvers, the main beam is easier to avoid than Zap Cannon. Further, since the Gamma-Ray Burst does not cause explosions, if it misses a target there is no indirect damage. The shock wave helps mitigates this high inaccuracy, but unlike the energy column, it rapidly weakens over distances. Dratini uses three times the energy of Hyper Beam to generate a Gamma-Ray Burst, and must take both a turn to charge it and a turn to rest afterward. After use, Dratini loses the ability to perform Dragon-type moves for the rest of the battle, including this signature move.

Mercutio: Try it as a Reed. Rejected.

Genderless Scyther // Level 1
Biography
During the Warring States era of Kanto, where feudal lords settled petty disagreements with debts of blood, few found the time to care for the faceless dead. Hardly any of the peasants in the slums surrounding the gated capitol city bothered to concern themselves with the discarded husk of a wandering ronin. Fewer still realized that this ronin, actually a Pokemon, had been poisoned and hacked to death in the night after treating himself to a quiet drink and a soft bed. None realized that he was one of the most elite swordsmen of the era, capable of slicing men to pieces before they'd realized they had died, and deflecting bullet curtains of the fiercest gatling guns.

Signature Training: Heart of Steel - Type Change (Steel)
To fly, Scyther relies on jet propulsion rather than the force generated by insect wings. This gives him greater power (+20%) and/or speed (+20%) for wing-boosted moves. Reliance on jets means Scyther also has reduced mobility in the air, so he cannot dodge attacks as well as other Pokemon in flight. Despite this propensity for high performance, Scyther uses twice as much energy for all his moves. When using Rest, he shuts down completely, and so is unable to use Sleep Talk. At low energy levels (starting at half), there is an increasing chance that Scyther will not be able to automatically "reboot" from using Rest, so use of the move effectively becomes an instant-KO.

Mercutio: Pretty sure I mentioned no jet pack. I don't understand why you insist on making this so convoluted.

Vortex deals a significant amount of damage for a significant amount of energy.

Mercutio: Approved.

Lady Macbeth - Level 1 Female Ralts
Bio: I'm sure you've read Macbeth, but the real story was a little different from what's been recorded in drama and even in history.

Lady Macbeth was not married to Macbeth. History goes so far as to deny her existence, but as it turns out she was a young maid who was getting it on a bit with the king and was promised to marry him. She urged him to kill the reigning monarch, Duncan, which he did with her help. Duncan wasn't the only man in the way, and Lady Macbeth found herself the nexus of an increasingly bloody Comédie humaine. Finally, when Macbeth ordered her to murder his best friend whose descendants he believed would usurp his position, she refused and turned to go.

Macbeth stabbed her in the heart, and she crumpled to the ground. He then dumped her lifeless body in the swamp behind the castle, noting her pale skin and lack of heartbeat. The swamp water seeped into her hair, turning it a pale green, and the blood clotted around the knife in her heart.

What happened next is unclear - 10 years later, a bright flash emitted from the swamp, and Macbeth was slaughtered by some mysterious power in that very instant. Filled with sorrow, Lady Macbeth, now a Gardevoir, departed into the misty woods of Scotland.

Lady Macbeth's Hidden Power is Ghost type.

Signature Move: Out, Damned Spot! (PS)
Lady Macbeth channels her guilt and a solid amount of Psychic energy to summon a black hole at the target location. It has a strong gravitational force that can bend the aim of physical projectiles slightly, making it very powerful indeed. If an enemy is caught in the black hole, they will take moderate damage plus a little extra damage when the black hole explodes, totaling to good damage or so.

If Lady Macbeth has claimed an additional victim this battle, the power of the gravitational force, being powered by guilt, goes up significantly, and the damage goes up to solid damage plus a little extra when the effect ends, totaling to significant damage. Energy does not increase.

If Lady Macbeth takes 2 victims in the same battle, the strength of the attack increases drastically, totaling to extreme damage all told with a gravitational force that can tear apart boulders and trees.

Lady Macbeth may not deal more than extreme damage with this attack directly, but the added typeless damage from debris increases as the force becomes stronger and attracts larger and more dangerous objects.

Lady Macbeth may only use this attack once per opponent and only [number of opponents that can be used in the battle/2 rounded up] times per battle. She can never Rest, Heal Pulse, Calm Mind, Zen Headbutt, or Endure. However, while Confused she will fall asleep while standing up and may use Sleep Talk (but not Snore)...and nothing else.

Mercutio: Ehhhhhhhh. Rejected.

Hamlet - Level 2 Male Kadabra
Bio: As the Prince of Denmark, Hamlet was well-educated and displayed a remarkable intellect. He bat around friends and enemies alike with his rapier wit, but as far as actual power went, he was sorely lacking in courses of action due to his youth.

When he was very young, his father was murdered and his uncle married his mother. After the fact, it was learned from his father's ghost that it was this selfsame uncle at fault for the murder! This was obviously very distressing to poor Hamlet, who agonized over what to do for days before killing his uncle and retreating from the world.

A slow metamorphosis occurred, and he found himself awakening a thousand years into the future, the castle in ruins, as a Kadabra.

Hamlet’s Hidden Power is the Fighting type.

Signature Move: To Be, or Not to Be (PS)
Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them. To die - to sleep. To sleep - perchance to dream. Hamlet offers the opponent a dangerous choice by firing off three attacks at once. One attack immediately puts the opponent to sleep and afflicts them with the move Nightmare in one fell swoop. One is a Psybeam attack that deals significant damage and returns a solid amount of health to Hamlet if it hits. The third is a spoon made of Psychic energy that moves slower than the other two attacks. If it hits, it will deal significant damage, but the enemy Pokemon can choose to attack this star and thereby end the trouble of it. The star requires an attack that deals at least moderate damage in order to destroy it. If the star is destroyed, a Substitute is formed with no cost to Hamlet in any way.

If the enemy is hit with the beam, the star will dissipate. If the enemy destroys the star, the beam will dissipate. This attack ignores Protect, Detect, Psychuck, Light Screen, Reflect, and Bide, as well as any similarly protective moves not listed. A difficult choice must be made.

Mercutio: Not a passable ASB sig(s) or interpretation of that speech. Well played. Rejected.

Napoleon - Level 1 Male Spoink
Bio Pending

Napoleon’s Hidden Power is the Electric type.

Signature Move: Higher Learning (PS)
Napoleon passionately teaches all foes not in their poke balls a creed of equality for all. He considers himself above it, but no need to tell the other Pokemon that. A foe who makes this pact is not allowed to use Super Effective moves and therefore will not do so even if instructed to do so through psychic mental blocks. Napoleon will still use Super Effective moves, but he'll be sneaky about it and tell the creed-bound foe that he's just special like that.

Napoleon gives up Thunderpunch, Shock Wave, and Charge Beam.

Mercutio: Energy usage, make it wear off, make it able to be removed, give us an actual drawback. Rejected.

Yossarian - Level 1 Male Slowpoke
Bio: Yossarian is kind of weird. He is supposed to pilot planes, but he never does. Instead he does a lot of stupid things to avoid doing things, finding himself often strong-armed into them anyway by contradictory rules and regulations and the abuse of power.

Yossarian's Hidden Power is the Normal type.

Signature Move: Catch-22 (PS)
Upon the use of this move, it is decreed: An opponent may perform an attack this round if and only if they have not used energy of any type when the attack is done.

Mercutio: Energy? Make it not affect STAB, Normal and XX. Rejected.

Mme. Defarge – Level 2 Female Gothorita
Bio: Mme. Defarge was once a revolutionary in France. She and her husband masterminded the storming of the Bastille and even the Reign of Terror that came afterwards. All the while, she was knitting a record of the activities for safekeeping and to hide it from prying eyes, using a stealthy code within the knitting to keep everything clandestine.

However, she was slain in battle with another woman, one who represented love and peace instead of her personal modus operandi of war and violence. How she became a Gothorita is a story that she refuses to impart and will tell when she is ready.

Mme. Defarge’s Hidden Power is the Dark type.

Signature Move – Knitting Helps the Mind
Mme. Defarge is constantly knitting. Every 3rd round, she will gain a permanent Calm Mind boost. The needles that she knits with are, due to some freak of nature, actually her thumbs and cannot really be used as “items” or “weapons” per se (though it does make her physical attacks, few as they be, a little scarier).

Mme. Defarge loses access to Energy Ball and Calm Mind (ironically enough).

Mercutio: Permanent? Also, is energy usage boosted? Rejected.

Griffin – Level 1 Male Elgyem
Bio: Can you do the right thing, even if no one will ever be watching?

Griffin is, on the outside, a mass of bandages with a couple of flashing lights. On the inside, however, he has a very special trait; he is invisible. Bad-tempered and vengeful, he did some pretty remarkably scary things in his youth with his new invisibility powers. However, this quickly grew stale and he became rather lonely instead. It was at that point that I caught him, and he seems to have fallen into his evil ways again, pulling nasty tricks on everyone of debatable innocence, coming very close to being seriously harmful. I made him put bandages on and never take them off except for my orders.

Griffin’s Hidden Power is the Dark type.

Signature Move: Invisibility (PS)
Griffin gains access to the moves Power Whip, Vine Whip, Wrap, Bind, Tail Whip, and Constrict. His bandages (more of an extremely long surcingle really) perform the functions for those attacks. However, the bandage prevents his alien floating technology from working properly. The most he can manage is a glide, slow fall, or assisted leap.

Griffin “gains” the move Camouflage, which is always running at the cost of light energy every round. There is no way to turn this camouflage off. Ordering “Camouflage” will have the effect of Griffin psychically removing his bandage. This restores his flight ceiling and restricts his access to the moves granted by the bandage signature. Reordering “Camouflage” will snap the bandage back around Griffin, which has the effect of dealing good damage to any Pokemon in close proximity to Griffin at that time and placing the above paragraph back into effect. Griffin’s lights and eyes are not invisible.

Griffin loses access to Thunder Wave, Rock Tomb, and Thunderbolt.

Mercutio: Kind of two sigs in one. Rejected.

Willy – Level 1 Male Exeggcute
Willy’s Hidden Power is the Failure type. (Typeless)

Nora – Level 1 Female Baltoy
Nora’s Hidden Power is the Bug type.

Alonso – Level 1 Male Ralts
Alonso’s Hidden Power is the fighting type for great justice.

Hester – Level 1 Female Woobat
Hester’s Hidden Power is the Fire type.

Iago – Level 1 Male Drowzee
Iago’s Hidden Power is the Bug type.

Rhett – Level 1 “Male” Beldum
Rhett’s Hidden Power is the Flying type.

Is not done. Will be done soon probably. Most members are hidden powers and will count immediately, but it is tidier to bundle them instead.

Mercutio: Go ahead and read through previous sig approval threads. Also, this is not the Hidden Power thread. Any Hidden Powers listed here must be approved in the correct thread before they can be used.

Annabelle: Level 2 Female Clefairy
"Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii"
Spoiler: show
Once, under the dim gaze of Saffron City, a young girl lived in a house by the railway. No 4 on Parks Avenue, the smallest house nestled between two skyscrapers. Trimmed lawns and blue drapes adorned this abode, providing it with a coziness not dissimilar to that of a Tupperware catalogue. Warm-lit days rolled into warm-lit nights, as the girl and her family formed halcyon memories and lived in relative bliss. Their laughter filled the halls of that house like a bell. Nothing could and would diminish this haze of happiness. However, not everything is forever. When the girl started collecting Pokémon Dolls, affectionately called "PokéDolls", that chapter of their lives began to close, bookending to open the next chapter, one of far darker origins. Who says a doll is just a doll?

Nicknamed "Copycat" for her uncanny impressions of other people, the girl accrued popularity within her own neighbourhood. Saffron City loved her mimics. Indeed, the girl delighted all around her whenever she dressed up as somebody else and adopted their mannerisms, to a satirical effect. Copycat was proud of her ability to mimic others; she collected impressions as though they were medallions or trophies of past conquests. Her talent in pretending to be somebody else did not translate to a capacity to sense something was not what it claimed to be, however. This became no more apparent when Copycat first lost her beloved Clefairy PokéDoll.

The PokéDoll, called "Annabelle", went missing for a few weeks, until a future Champion returned it to Copycat's relieved arms. Annabelle was not the same as before, though. Although it supposedly was only a doll, Annabelle appeared to move on its own, relatively unnoticeable movements at first, like a change in position, but as time passed the movement became more noticeable. For example, Copycat would leave the house with Annabelle on her bed and return home to find it on the couch. It always smiled placidly.

Then, one night, Copycoat had come home to find the Clefairy PokéDoll had moved again, this time onto a floral duvet. However, this time, something seemed more amiss. Trembling, Copycat had reached for the doll. A sense of fear washed over her, like a breaking wave, when Copycat inspected the doll and found what appeared to be blood drops on the back of the PokéDoll's hands and its chest. Copycat and her family decided that they needed to call a medium.

With the help of the family, the medium conducted a séance. Efforts were made to breach the barriers of mind and soul in order to contact the netherworld. Not much is known about that séance, except that whatever the medium encountered, she was perturbed enough to recommend that Copycat destroy Annabelle. An unearthly spirit had visited No 4 on Parks Avenue. Only a sanctioned exorcism may alleviate the nefarious anomaly that had wrested the small house.

A few weeks later, Copycat and her family packed and left Saffron City in a hurry. They left no traces of their previous bliss or domicile: the house was a sepulchre of voids. Rumours differ whether that their great-grandmother in Celadon City was ill and required the assistance of her youthful relatives, or that Copycat's father obtained a new drilling job in the southern provinces that necessitated a sudden move. Nobody knew. The PokéDoll itself was parcelled onto the medium, who hurriedly sealed Annabelle in a glass coffin labelled "WARNING ~ POSITIVELY DO NOT OPEN". However, other Pokémon notice Annabelle and cower in her presence. The Silph Corporation knows and manufactures Clefairy PokéDolls because their appearance immediately ceases all wild Pokémon out of attacking, but have you ever wondered why?

It is no coincidence that the PokéDoll disappeared from the medium's possession, when a wandering Trainer found an innocuous Clefairy so far removed from the species's traditional habitat of Mt. Moon. Nightmares and old wives' tales all have their origins from some simulacrum of truth. As the girl from Saffron City would say, appearances can be deceiving...

Special Training: Possession (Immundus Spiritus)
Annabelle doesn't frighten easily and is now considered to be familiar with Psychic energy, much like a Venomoth would. In exchange, Annabelle loses access to Bug and Grass Type energy, due to her unnatural condition. Furthermore, unlike normal Clefairies, Annabelle cannot no longer use Fire Blast, Thunder, or Blizzard due to her unearthly nature.

nb: Feel free to edit Annabelle's sig if you think it's required

This signature no longer applies and must be removed as a signature if Azula is a Volcarona.

Mercutio: Approved.

New rule is bad and should feel bad. Also, not feeling arsed to repost bios for the same sigs. Sue me.

Spoiler: show

Daigusto Phoenix: Level 1 Male Torchic
Signature Technique: Blessings of Gusto
Once per match, Pheonix can transfer a considerable amount of energy from one pool of type energy to replenish another teammate's type energy. This can be an active or inactive teammate. The type energy does not have to be from the same pools in order for this attack to work, however, the type energy pools(both of them) have to have between one and three offensive moves. This costs a major amount of energy to transfer the considerable amount amount of type energy(these do not stack, it won't cost major + considerable). This will only give the teammate type energy, and will not add any "total energy."

Traptrix Atrax: Level 1 Female Joltik
Atrax creates a current of bug energy which swirls around her target in a manner similar in appearance to a miniature bug-type fire spin. The attack does only light damage, and it lasts for only a moment, not trapping the opponent, but it's true abilities lie in utilizing the support of Atrax's teammates- When this attack is used, every Stealth Rock-like move in play around the opponent's field will strike the opponent as if they just just switched in, however, they are only 3/4 as powerful as normal. This move costs significant energy to use and can only be used once per Pokemon.

Traptrix Myrmeleo: Level 1 Female Trapinch
This technique costs a significant amount of Ground energy to use, and will have no effect on the opponent when first used.

Traptrix Nepenthes: Level 1 Female Bellsprout
However, a powerful Water attack (i.e. anything stronger than Water Gun) will wash away this attack completely when ordered to.

Carmina: Level 1 Female Misdreavus
Special Technique: Spellbooks open! (Normal)
Carmina only gained the ability to use one Spellbook, the Hygro Spellbook, a red spellbook that glows like the sun. When she uses this spellbook, she will gain a 20% boost to all of her attacks, but all of her attacks also cost an extra 20% energy, until the end of the next round. If she knocks out an opponent with this spellbook, she can use one of her teammates moves until the end round. It costs good energy and can only be used once per battle. She can no longer use Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball, or Screech, and cannot copy them with Hygro Spellbook, since they are incompatible.

Adreus: Level 1 Male Bouffalant
Special Attack: Fires of Armageddon! (UNKNOWN)
Once per round, Adreus can burst into black flames that give off no light. These flames have a special property that allows his physical attacks to deal an extra 20% damage to Dark, Ghost, and Fighting types, and they allow him to hit Ethereal or Gaseous ghosts for full damage. He can be ordered to use this technique by saying "Armageddon [insert physical move here]." This increases the energy needed for the attack by 25%, and it has no effect on his special moves. He loses the moves: Pursuit, Payback, Revenge, Rock Smash, and Superpower.

Kadabra flips his spoon around, gripping the handle like a stabbing weapon, and charges it with moderate Psychic energy, then strikes the opponent with the spoon for decent damage. If he successfully strikes his opponent's back or dorsal area (for Pokemon that don't stand upright) this technique has a 25% chance of significant damage and/or paralysis. Kadabra must make physical contact with the opponent for this attack to have any effect.

Mercutio: No energy efficiency. So I'd aim for something like good energy.

It erupts from his mouth as an invisible, narrow column of energy that instantaneously atomizes anything in its path, equivalent to a double strength Hyper Beam that does not lose strength over distance or cause explosions on impact. When fired toward the open sky, the attack neutralizes weather conditions by depleting the local ozone layer, although the atmosphere naturally restores itself by the next round.

Unless the target is stationary, the main beam is easier to avoid than Zap Cannon. Further, since the Gamma-Ray Burst does not cause explosions, if it misses a target there is no indirect damage. Dratini uses three and a half times the energy of Hyper Beam to generate a Gamma-Ray Burst, and must take both a turn to charge it and a turn to rest afterward. After use, Dratini loses the ability to perform Dragon-type moves for the rest of the battle, including this signature move.

Mercutio: Try it as a reed. Not as a sig.

Signature Training: Heart of Steel - Type Change (Steel)
Despite this propensity for high performance, Scyther uses twice as much energy for all his moves.

Mercutio: Ok this is now wfine once we have a much longer bio. Type changes are hard! Rejected.
