...

...why... does it look on par with Cow & Chicken, Dexter's Lab and other mid-late 90s cartoons?

It looks like they blended Teen Titans, the Powerpuff Girls, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Which, given that this is Cartoon Network's doing, is probably an answer to your question in and of itself.

Yeah.... I don't think either comic company knows what they're doing in the cartoon departments.

Look on the bright side. At least they're airing a cartoon. It's a step in the right direction, I say.

Ehhh....

Making a terrible cartoon will just make it harder for a proper Teen Titans to be made at a later date. The executives will cite how it's unpopular because of this series instead of the reason: we wanted the old Teen Titans.

It looks like Adventure Time to me. The art looks like it, and it's Macromedia Flash animation.

Seems like cheap brand milking.

How did you see that and then think Adventure Time?

I was alright with Teen Titans taking another, sillier direction. If it was going to be similar to the Teen Titans shorts that they had during the D.C Nation block, that would be fine, but this does not look like that at all. The animation style just seems lazy. It looks more like a one of the MAD TV spoof episodes than an actual episode of a tv series. I'm fine if we're not going to get anymore of the old teen titans like we wanted. That got a very nice and fine ending, but if they were going to give us more Teen Titans, I'd rather they try to put more effort into it, like giving us another movie, at least one better than Trouble in Tokyo.

This. This is what gives me the massive case of the RAEG. As if the style weren't bad enough, completely not doing the previous Teen Titans cartoon justice, they cancelled the best DC animated adaptation running at the time to do it. Young Justice was really deep and striking, particularly in the second season, and cancelling it for what looks like crude humour at best makes me quite upset, especially since the idea of more Teen Titans is such a good idea, and they ruined that, too.

grumble grumble fucking ruining two good shows grumble grumble...

Teen Titans Go! focuses on the "funny business" that happens between the Teen Titans when not saving the world and when living together as teenagers without adult supervision. The Teen Titans must deal with horrific situations such as teenage pranks reaching a whole new level, or having to take Driver’s Ed after wrecking the Batmobile.
...no. That isn't a superhero show, that's a sitcom, something that should be done with made-up characters rather than existing ones.

Yeah, who asked for that? I mean, clearly they think the tween audience would lap this shit up like sweetened Gatorade, but I'm pretty sure no one asked for this rather than, y'know, another B:TAS or A:tLA.

However, ...

I dunno, people've been pretty excited about the animated adaptation of this sitcom of Jesus and Buddha being roomies in modern-day Tokyo, and they're preexisting characters. (Personally, I thought the first episode a bit slow myself, but I still think there's hope for things picking up as we go along, given what samples I've seen online of the manga.)
