Fae replied to Peeves, stating that he didn't look very scary, and in fact looked a bit silly. Then she realized just what she had said and started apologizing. "It's alright, no offense taken," Peeves chuckled. "Truth be told, I initially didn't want to evolve at all because I thought more or less the same thing about Dusclops myself. Of course, I do want to evolve further, into what's known as Dusknoir, though I'm waiting until my girlfriend is ready to evolve as well."

Fae then thanked Helena, stating that she believed that by keeping this up, she might be able to stop getting scared by ghosts just due to their being ghosts. "That's great," Helena smiled.

"It is," Peeves nodded in agreement, before changing the subject somewhat. "So, you became a Silcoon, hmm?" he asked. "Just wondering, you happy with that, or would you have preferred to become a Cascoon?"

The Magikarp's happiness at Pomona's willingness to help him evolve was quickly diminished at the realization that he wouldn't be able to get to the lake on his own, and so Leviathan asked Pomona's help with getting to the lake. "Sure thing," smiled Pomona. She extended her Vine Whip, and wrapped one vine around Leviathan's bowl, carefully lifting it up.

"Could I come and watch?" asked Hermione. "I've never witnessed a Magikarp's evolution for myself, and I'm certain it would be amazing to behold."

"I don't see why not," Pomona replied happily, as she walked over to the door, using her free vine to pull on the lever, thereby opening the door.

Leviathan was right- after only a short walk, the Ivysaur could see the lake. Pausing for only a second to marvel at the beautiful sight, she walked over to the edge of the lake, and carefully tipped the bowl over, tipping Leviathan into the large body of water. Then, she put the bowl down a good distance away from them (a safety precaution, more to ensure that the bowl didn't get in her way during the battle, as it was likely that once they were done, the bowl would no longer have a use).

"Alright, ready, Leviathan?" grinned Pomona, as she stood near the edge of the water. The Magikarp was likely to attack by jumping out of the water and ramming into her, so Pomona figured she'd start things off with her own Tackle attack, then fire off a Razor Leaf. Hermione stood off to the side, watching with interest at what was about to unfold.

Fae is happy to hear that Peeves is not offended by her, and actually kinda agreed with her, but he wants to evolve further too. Which in turn prompts the Dusclops to ask Fae if she was happy with her evolution into Silcoon or if she would have preferred to evolve into Cascoon.

"Oh, I'm very happy with being a Silcoon now," Fae answers, "Being a Silcoon fits me just great, you know Wurmple evolve based on their personality, on who they are. I don't know if other Pokémon evolve in the same way, but as Wurmple you will always evolve into the Pokémon that suits your qualities and character best. And I like flowers and nature a lot, and making friends and aking people happy." She smiles and giggles.

Much to Leviathan's relief Ponoma is happy to help the Magikarp get outside the base and into the lake so they can battle to help the Fish Pokémon evolve into Gyarados. And Leviathan is just as happy to let Hermione observe the battle he is about to have, it was her who helped him find out how to evolve after all. And so the three of them make their way to the lake where Ponoma releases Leviathan into the water and asks him if he's ready to start the battle.

"I've never been more ready for anything!" Levinathan replies full of confidence, he knows he will loose this battle, the type match-up is against him and so it their difference in experience and move pool. But that is not what this is about, this battle is not about winning, it's about sending a message. That the weak will become the strong! And with that he jumps up out of the water to Tackle, Ponoma anticipated the move however and went for a Tackle of her own, cause the two to collide in midair. The Ivysaur then sends a Razor Leaf towards Leviathan. For a moment the Magikarp considers dodging it by diving underwater, making good use of his Swift Swim ability, but at the last moment he decides against it and instead opts to jump up to try to Tackle Ponoma right through the furry of leaves. He knows he will take massive damage from such a stunt, but it's all about the message.

Fae replied that she was very happy about becoming a Silcoon, but then went on to remark on how Wurmple evolved based on their personality. "Wurmple evolve based on their personality?" repeated Peeves. "I must admit I've never heard of such a thing. One of my teammates is a Dustox, and he's a nice guy. Of course, now that I think of it, the fact that Keith specializes in Poison-types, that may have influenced his evolution... Anyway, it's nice that you're happy with the way you evolved," the Dusclops finished.

"Personally, I'm glad you became a Silcoon," Helena added, smiling. "I mean, I do like Dustox, but of the two, I'm more partial to Beautifly myself. When I was alive, and still a Trainer, I always wanted a Beautifly of my own."

The Magikarp's reply was full of confidence. He may not have been strong in a physical sense just yet, but his spirit was anything but weak. Whether it would help him so much in the battle, however, remained to be seen.

First, Leviathan leapt out of the water, both he and Pomona using their Tackle attacks. They collided into each other, each one of them taking damage (Pomona found that she was taking a little more damage than she had anticipated, but not by very much- Leviathan's move was still lacking quite a bit in terms of power). Once that was over, Pomona fired off her Razor Leaf attack. To her surprise, however, the Magikarp jumped right into the move, charging through with sheer willpower as the leaves assaulted its scaly body. Despite the immense damage the move caused, Leviathan managed to muscle through and hit Pomona with Tackle. Again, it wasn't a particularly powerful blow, but the fact that he had just powered his way through a super effective Razor Leaf was, as far as Pomona was concerned, impressive. Next, she figured she would try a Defense Curl, before striking with Vine Whip.

Hermione, meanwhile, was rather impressed by Leviathan's performance so far. Of course, given the limitations of his species, his losing this battle was practically a given, but his spirit and sheer willpower were going to ensure he got a lot farther in this battle than the average Magikarp would be able to boast. And as a Weedle who insisted on winning battles without evolving, Hermione could definitely identify with Leviathan's desire to grow stronger. Even if she, unlike Leviathan, made it her goal to never evolve, that confidence and fighting spirit was undoubtedly the same.

Upon hearing Peeves comment about Keith's Wurmple who evolved into a Dustox, but is a nice guy, Fae starts laughing, "You're funny Peeves, our evolution process isn't as easy as nice Wurmple become Beautifly and bad ones Dustox. It's much more complex than that, what you just said is almost like me being scared of Ghosts just because they're Ghosts." She can't suppress another laugh, but soon gets herself together again and is happy to explain the process a bit more, "It's not just good or bad, it goes deeper, the things we like, the way we see the world around us, our goals in life and how to reach them, those are just a small grip of factors that determine what you will become as Wurmple. And it's not like we have control over it either. To give an example, you might want to become a Beautifly so badly that you end up becoming a Dustox because of the obsession and the way you tried to reach that goal. And that can go the other way around too of course."

Fae then turns to Helena after hearing her say she's happy she became a Silcoon and always wanted a Beautifly herself as trainer. "Thank you, I think I will make a nice Beautifly when I evolve again, and I think it will not take too long either. We tend to evolve quickly."

Meanwhile at the lake Leviathan has taken a lot of damage from Ponoma's Razor Leaf but managed to connect his Tackle on sheer willpower. But now that he's back in the water he really starts to feel the true impact of the move as almost his whole body hurts and quite some scales show small cuts. He thinks about his next move, while Ponoma at the same time takes the time to Curl up to increase her Defense, but soon realizes there isn't really all that much else he can do other than jump up and Tackle which is exactly what he does only to end up on the receiving end of a super effective Vine Whip, knocking him right back in the water.

"AAAAH! Why am I so weak!" Leviathan swims around looking for a better opportunity to attack again while also taking a bit of time to recover, "I must get STRONGER!" the Magikarp shouts it out. He then dives down deeper into the lake, he has an idea that might surprise Ponoma, if he goes deep enough Ponoma will not be able to see him anymore while he is underwater and the increased distance between him and the surface allows him to gain more speed before he leaps out of the water so he can strike the hopefully unaware Ivysaur as hard as he can. He knows that with his weak attacks and with Ponoma's buffed defense he can use all the extra power he can find. And so, when Leviathan thinks he's deep enough he turns around and swiftly swims to the surface, ready to Tackle Ponoma again.

Laughing, Fae explained to Peeves that the Wurmple evolution process was a lot more complex than the Dusclops made it out to be. "Ah," Peeves replied, chuckling weakly. "Never even thought of it like that before. To be honest, I never actually got the chance to talk to Severus about Wurmple evolution before," he added. "Severus- that's the Dustox I mentioned earlier, by the way."

Meanwhile, Fae expressed the opinion that she would make a nice Beautifly once she evolved. Helena nodded. "I don't doubt it," she smiled. "I can't wait to see you when you evolve, I've always loved how Beautifly look!"

Meanwhile, Leviathan was feeling that Razor Leaf now. He tried another Tackle, but was knocked away by Vine Whip. He shouted out in frustration, lamenting his weakness, before diving deeper into the lake, hoping to build up enough speed to power up his Tackle somewhat. On the surface, Pomona was watching the water intently, ready to fire off her Sludge attack as soon as Leviathan jumped out. And then, the Magikarp surfaced with more speed than before. Pomona, surprised by the suddenness of this, used Sludge, but the move barely grazed one of Leviathan's fins for minimal, almost nonexistent, damage. Moreover, the running start (swimming start?) put a little extra power into the Tackle attack. Despite Pomona's increased Defense, the unexpected force behind the move caught her by surprise, managing a critical hit, and knocking her off her feet. Impressed, but undeterred, Pomona climbed back to her feet- this match wasn't over yet! Now she fired off another Razor Leaf, hoping to hit Leviathan with it before he could dive back under the water. It was possible that he'd be able to evade the move, of course, but right now there was just no telling either way.

"I'm doing ok myself, I've gotten quite a few new pokemon, like Willbert right here" Jake replied before pointing to the Snorunt.

"Snorunt, Snorunt, Snorunt!" Willbert chanted before giving a small wave to Kieth

Suddenly, a voice came from behind Jake. Jake turned around quickly to find that the voice came from Cyanide, Kieth's Umbreon.

Before Cyanide even asked, Jake already had a strong feeling what the Umbreon was going to request, but he hoped he was wrong.

Sure enough, Cyanide asked Jake if it was possible for him to send out her boyfriend Pom.

Jake froze. "Should I lie, say that I left him with Sophie for training?" Jake asked himself

"No, no I shouldn't, it's going to come out one way or another eventually, mine as well just admit it"

"About that, Pom and a few other of my pokemon were.................stolen"

Suddenly, Rowan walked towards Jake, asking him what brought him here, and if he wanted something to drink.

"So it looks like Rowan doesn't know, that's a relief" Jake thought to himself.

"I decided to visit since I was close by" Jake replied
"And I'd like a glass of moo-moo milk if you have any please"

Meanwhile, as Vermillion was charging towards the chocolate, his face was greeted by a reflect set up by Melittin.

Angered, Vermillion Bashed the barrier with his skull, but to no avail.

But Vermillion wouldn't give up, and kept using Skull Bash over and over on the barrier.

"What gives?!" The Torkoal demanded.
"You're not eating it, I want it!"

Meanwhile, as Botch started to ooze away, Kieth called out to the sludge pokemon, saying that someone had been dying to see him lately, before sending out Strychnine.

But to Botch's horror, Strychnine wasn't a Grimer anymore, she had evolved into a Muk.

Strychnine happily greeted Botch asking him what he thought about her evolution.

Botch didn't want to hurt Strychnine's feelings, which was the only reason he didn't scream and ooze out of Rowan's base right then and there.

"Cong-grats Strychnine, y-you look gr-great" Botch stammered.

Jake stated that he was doing OK, and showed one of his newest Pokémon to Keith- a Snorunt named Willbert. "Oh, cool," Keith smiled. "I don't have an Ice-type of my own yet, though I'd definitely like a Snorunt someday."

And then, Cyanide asked Jake to see Pom, and the Electric-type specialist hesitated before confessing that a number of his Pokémon, Pom being among them, had been stolen, causing Keith to do a double take in alarm. "Whoa, stolen?!" Keith repeated. "Jake, what happened?!" But this was nothing compared to Cyanide's reaction.

The Umbreon's eyes bugged out, her mouth agape in an expression of pure shock. "...What did you JUST SAY?!" she screamed, her voice rising rapidly, a definite tone of panic making its presence known. It was clear that Cyanide was not taking this news well, to say the least. "Who did it?! WHO TOOK HIM?!" she demanded of Jake, tears in her eyes, her voice almost hysterical. And then, not waiting for an answer, she sprinted over to the door, then called back to Jake. "I'm going out to find him," she declared. "If anyone tries to stop me, it will be the last mistake they ever make! Jake, you come with me," she added. "Anything you know about whoever did this will be a big help."

"Cyanide, take it easy-" began Keith, but the Umbreon shook her head vehemently.

"No," she replied. "Sorry, but no, I'm not gonna take it easy until Pom is safe!" Meowth was quick to translate this for Keith, who looked as though he would've loved nothing more than to protest this. Nevertheless, he sighed, knowing full well that even if it would be possible to stop Cyanide from doing this without suffering grievous injury, he would be reacting more or less the same way if Coselle was the one in need of rescuing. He gave a nod to Cyanide, who smiled at her trainer, glad that he understood how she was feeling at the moment. She was all ready to open the door with Psychic, and was going to do so within a minute or so, whether she was accompanied by anyone or not.

At that moment, a Stunfisk flew over to Jake, albeit an unusually colored one- instead of yellow, this Stunfisk's tail fin and exclamation point marking were white, as were its two side fins. There was a worried expression on Rubeus's face. "Jake," he said, "You said Pom wasn't the only one of your Pokémon to be stolen... Please tell me Bubbles wasn't one of them," he said quietly, a trace of fear in his voice.

Meanwhile, Strychnine was overjoyed to see Botch again, but... not so much the other way around. The Grimer stammered in response, congratulating Strychnine on her evolution. However, it was clear to the Muk that something was up with Botch. She looked at him, a look of concern on her face. "Botch?" Strychnine said gently. "Is... is something wrong?"

Leviathan's higher speed Tackle results in a critical hit on Ponoma, this much to his surprise, and he is actually quite happy with the unexpected windfall, but the match isn't over by long shot. Ponoma manages to get back on her feet before Leviathan has bounced back into the water making him look like a big, red clay pigeon ready to be for out of the sky. And Ponoma is trying to do just that, firing off another Razor Leaf. Leviathan sees it coming, but being having taken a massive amount of damage already there isn't all that much he can do about it, the only good thing about it this time is that he only takes half the attack before he finally hits the water.

Leviathan is hurt, badly, scales all around his body show cuts and some near his fins are close to bleeding. His energy is draining rapidly just by moving around. Leviathan's body is begging him to stop, but his mind tells him to continue, he has to go past his limits if he wants to evolve and thus he tries his previous move again, dive deep and jump up fast for a surprise Tackle. All the Magikarp really has to hope for is that he can get up to speed enough to even be able to surprise Ponoma again.

Meanwhile in the base, Jake tells Rowan he just decided to visit because he was close by and that he would like a Moo-Moo milk.

"Certainly Jake, a Moo-Moo Milk it is. And I am happy you decided to walk by, you know, not many people know where to find this base if I don't tell them. And that while it's not even that far from the main road and I put no effort in hiding it at all. Guess that surrounding nature does that for me," And with that Rowan walks off to the kitchen to get Jake his drink.

Already in the kitchen are Lalu and Melittin as well as a Torkoal who attempted to eat Lalu's chocolate sculpture. And the Torkoal would probably have succeeded too if it wasn't for the Beedrill's Reflect.

"Well that's one stubborn Pokémon," Lalu remarks as see hears the Torkoal repeatedly Bash his Skull into the barrier to no avail.

The Razor Leaf struck Leviathan hard, and despite having been pushed to the absolute limits of his body, he refused to give up. Hermione watched, now very much impressed- most Magikarp would have fallen by this point, but Leviathan was clearly determined.

Pomona was also impressed, though was not about to be caught off-guard again. This time, she was going to match Leviathan's next Tackle with her Take Down attack, maybe even follow up with Sludge, provided she could get a clean shot. Her plan in mind, Pomona watched the water intently, waiting patiently until it came time to strike.

Meanwhile, back in the Base's kitchen, Vermillion did not react well to Melittin's Reflect getting in his way, if his repeated assaults with Skull Bash were any indicator. Lalu remarked on his stubbornness. "Annoying is more like it," Melittin grumbled. And then, the Torkoal complained, stating that since Melittin wasn't eating the chocolate sculpture, he wanted it. "Excuse me?!" demanded Melittin, pointing a stinger at part of the sculpture with clear bite marks in it. "Does this look like I'm not eating it to you?!" As if to drive his point home, he took yet another bite of the chocolate, and once he had swallowed, he added, "Besides which, just because it's not being eaten doesn't automatically make it yours." It was like he was talking to Crabbe or something!

Leviathan manages to make the jump out of the water to use his last energy to Tackle Ponoma, but unlike the last time Ponoma is ready for it and intercepts the attack with an attack of her own. She runs into the Magikarp using her Take Down, the collision of the two Pokémon cause Leviathan to be knocked back, he just doesn't have the energy and power anymore to fight though the Ivysaurs attack.

Now laying down on ground Leviathan can't do much more than Splashing around like a fish out of water. His mind is going in all directions, but most of all he is angry, angry at himself, angry for being so weak. He wants to evolve, he needs to evolve, he fought as hard as he could to reach his limits and break them, but all it has brought him is pain. The physical pain is not even the worst, it the mental pain, the pain of knowing that giving it your all wasn't enough, that fighting as hard as you possibly could wasn't hard enough. Again he lets out a loud scream and Splashed even harder. "I MUST evolve!" but it is of no avail.

And then something happens, something snaps. He doesn't care anymore, he'll be a weak pathetic Magikarp, he'll just lay quietly on the ground and just die that way right here. He just doesn't care about anything anymore. And just like that a bright white/blue light engulfs Leviathan. Slowly he starts to grow, gaining several meters in length and a few big fins on his back. Then, when the light fades away, Leviathan is no longer the puny red Magikarp, but a massive blue Gyarados.

Leviathan's Tackle took up the last of his energy, but was still no match for Pomona's Take Down. Despite Pomona taking a little damage from the Tackle, plus the recoil damage from Take Down, it was clear that the battle was over. The Magikarp Splashed around on the ground, screaming in anguish that he must evolve. With a concerned look on her face, Pomona approached her friend. "You'll evolve someday, Leviathan, I'm sure of it," she said with conviction. "You put up a really good fight out there!"

"She's right," Hermione nodded in agreement. "I was impressed by that battle- most Magikarp would have been defeated long before you were."

Whether Leviathan was actually hearing their words or not was anyone's guess, but seconds later, his body stated to glow. Pomona gasped audibly, her eyes aglow with awe as she watched the incredible transformation take place. Leviathan's body grew drastically, and once the glow faded away, there was the massive blue serpentine form of a Gyarados.

"I knew it!" Pomona cheered excitedly. "I just knew you could do it, Leviathan! Congratulations!"

"Yes, congratulations," Hermione smiled.

Leviathan's evolution process has been completed and the newly evolved Gyarados feels great. From meters below he can hear Ponoma and Hermione congratulate him. The pain from the battle completely left his body, power is rushes through him instead. Looking around he can see he has grown a lot, his body, it is completely different now. Walking, he thinks, Can I walk on land now? Leviathan tries to move, No legs, crosses his mind. But he notices he can shuffle around. And quite fast for a sea creature too.

This is fantastic! his mind is full of awe about his new form, "Hey look at this!" he finally shouts down to Keith's Pokémon below him and fires of a Hyper Beam into the lake, creating a huge splash of water. "That will show that Pokédex who's pathetic! Feel my wrath!" Another Hyper Beam is launched, "Feel my power! In this form I can take anything on!" Slowly but steadily Leviathan's mind is taken over by his new found power.

Elsewhere, in another dimension, Rose looks at her evolved boyfriend. Chuck is no longer a ball of purple gas, but now has a little bit more mass to him, cool looking spikes and actual hands floating around separately from his body. She has a big smile on her face and looks as happy as can be. The words Chuck spoke before he evolved touched her, he evolved to protect her, and that reassurance was something she really needed. Rose takes Chuck's hand and holds it as if it were a teddy-bear, hugging it softly. A tear rolls over her cheek contrasting her kind and loving smile, but it is one of happiness.

"Uhm, I don't want to interrupt you guys," Peach says slowly, "but how will we get back home? This does not look like home at all."

Outside, a dark and ominous aura surrounds the Victorian mansion and to make things worse, the red eyes in the turret have disappeared and the front door of the mansion opens, accompanied by a loud feminine Screech. Whatever is inside is inviting the group to come inside, but Rose isn't so sure she wants to. She looks at Chuck with questioning eyes, still holding his hand close to her body, hoping he knows what the best course of action is right now. She does not know what is waiting for them inside, or if they will ever come back out, and thought scares her.

However, the screech isn't the only thing coming from the mansion. Small purple orbs of fire exit from the front door flying around in the air in unpredictable patterns. Each orb flies towards one of the many branches the tree Rose, Chuck and Peach stand in is rich. The magical fire sets the tree ablaze in purple flames without burning the wood. The tree itself may not be hurt, but the fire does force the three in Peach's house to make a quick decision.

Leviathan seemed nothing short of thrilled at his new form, and was eager to demonstrate his new power, which he did by firing off a Hyper Beam into the lake. "Wow!" Pomona exclaimed. "That was so cool!"

"Impressive indeed," agreed Hermione. "That Hyper Beam had a lot of power behind it."

Meanwhile, the Ivysaur called up to the newly evolved Gyarados. "Hey, Leviathan," Pomona called, "I got an idea- how about we continue our battle? I'd love to see how much stronger you got!"

Hermione glanced over at the Ivysaur, a look of mild concern on her face. "Pomona, are you sure?" whispered the Weedle. "That Hyper Beam had to have been one of the most powerful I've ever seen, and I've seen Gemini use that move before." Gemini was Keith's Weezing, his starter Pokémon, and one of the strongest Pokémon on the team, and both Pomona and Hermione knew it.

But Pomona nodded, still smiling. "What better way for him to prove how much more powerful he's gotten?" she replied, before looking back up at the Gyarados, in anticipation of whatever his response would be.

Meanwhile, Rose looked nothing short of enthralled at Chuck's evolution. She took hold of Chuck's disembodied hand and hugged it. Chuck smiled at his girlfriend, and knew that the tear rolling down her cheek was one of happiness. It was clear that his evolving in order to ensure her safety had touched her. Utilizing his other hand, the one Rose was not currently hugging, Chuck attempted to hug Rose back, though as he lacked arms in this stage, it was a somewhat awkward attempt. Nonetheless, he was certain he had managed to get the idea across.

Peach then interrupted the moment, albeit reluctantly, to ask how they were going to get back. Chuck's smile faded slowly. "I'm not sure," he stated, looking out the tree into the strange dimension into which they appear to have been transported. "I have no clue what this is about..."

Just then, the mansion's front door opened, and a feminine Screech echoed from within, beckoning them inside. Rose looked questioningly at Chuck, as though asking him what the best course of action was. If only he was able to give any kind of certain answer to that question! But he had to come to some sort of decision nevertheless...

"Well," Chuck began, "I don't know how we're going to get back, but I have a feeling that if we're going to get any answers, we won't find them just staying in here." And then, several orbs of purple fire flew out of the front door, zipping through the air erratically, before slamming into the branches of the tree the trio was currently in. Chuck was certain that these were the result of a Will-O-Wisp attack, but before he could voice this opinion, the tree was set on fire, and though the wood was not burning, Chuck was not willing to see whether the same would hold true for them. "...OK, I'm a little more in favor of going into that mansion now," the Haunter stated. He tried to keep his voice even, but it wavered slightly with mild nervousness. "It's looking to be our only option at this point. Well, the only one that won't render us extra-crispy, anyway," he added with a brave attempt at a chuckle. Making sure Rose was still holding onto his hand, he offered the other one to the Pachirisu. "Come on, let's move," he said, ready to float from the tree in through the mansion's front door as soon as Peach took his other hand. Though his hands were no longer physically connected to his body, they were going to float right alongside him nevertheless (and by extension, the Pokémon holding onto them).

The Torkoal and the Beedrill

Cyanides reaction to Jake's news that her boyfriend was stolen was quite hectic, but Jake knew her reaction wasn't going to be pretty in the first place. Kieth meanwhile, asked Jake what had happened.

''I was ambushed by two trainers, it should have been an easy fight, but they used pokemon, pokemon I had never seen or even heard of!'' Jake exclaimed.

'I tried my best to win, but even Pom couldn't overpower the pokemon.''

It was then that Cyanide sprinted towards the exit of Rowan's base, declaring that she was going to find Pom, and that Jake should come with her.

''I can't!'' Jake replied.
''I don't know where they were taken, and even if I did, me walking in there would be a deathtrap!''

''It's true!'' Willbert added
''One of the trainers had a fourth stage pokemon!''

Rubeus, Kieths Stunfisk flew over to Jake at that moment and asked if Bubbles had been stolen as well.

''Y-yes Bubbles was also stolen'' ''Pom, Bubbles, Kage, Tasu, Dusty, Aco, a-a-and Sparky were taken from me'' Jake replied, he was obviously deeply saddened with him losing his very first pokemon.

Meanwhile, Melittin and Lalu weren't impressed with his attempt at getting the chocolate sculpture. While Lalu called him stubborn, Melittin called him annoying, and when Vermillion said he wanted the chocolate, the Beedrill pointed at the bite marks before taking a bite of the food.

Melittin also said that just because it wasn't being eatten, doesn't mean it was his.

This angered the Torkoal even more. ''You will give me that chocolate, right now!'' Vermillion demanded. And then, Vermillion finally broke through the barrier.

''Look's like I'll have to take it by force!'' The Torkoal exclaimed before firing an Ember attack at Melittin.

Meanwhile, at Botch's stammered response, Strychnine asked the Grimer if anything was wrong. ''Nothing, j-just a litle s-sh-haken after w-what ha-appened to some of m-my teamates-s'' Botch stammered a response.

He tried not to, as he knew it was giving him away, but he just couldn't help it.

Hermione and Ponoma are both clearly impressed by Leviathan's powerful new move. The Weedle even stated it has to be one of the most powerful Hyper Beams she ever saw. Ponoma then ask Leviathan if he wants to continue the battle, to proof how powerful he has gotten.

The Gyarados doesn't have to think long and eagerly accepts the Ivysaurs challenge. "Give it all you got, you will need it this time!" And with that he dives back in the lake, ready to perform his previous strategy again, but his time with a Hyper Beam twist.

In the base, Melittin and Lalu still had to deal with a stubborn Torkoal. But while the Beedrill provoked him, the Torkoal broke through his barrier and fired an ember at him. Lalu sees this happening, but she sure isn't going to let it happen.

"I don't think so!" she yells and jumps in front of Melittin to take the attack, "Here, if you like to eat so much, eat some of this!" she then says and Blasts a few Rocks his way.

Elsewhere, Chuck takes care of Rose and Peach. The tree itself might not be harmed by the magical fire, but the Haunter is not going to take chances. And all things point in the direction of the Victorian Mansion anyway, if they want to leave this world the three will have to enter the building and find their way back home from there. So as soon as the Chuck has brought everyone to the porch of the mansion Rose reluctantly points inside. She doesn't want to go there, the place scares her and the feelings she gets from it are darker than anything before, but she realizes she doesn't have much of a choice either if she ever wants to get back home to Rowan.

"Uhm, guys, Peach breaks the silence, You're not planning on going in there are you? It doesn't really look all that nice in there, and it's dark inside."

Peach does have a point there, while the front door of the mansion is wide open and they stand right in front it, they can only see a meter or two of the floor inside. Other than that it is total darkness. But knowing that they have to go, Rose looks at Peach and gives her a scared nod, yes they have to go inside. Whatever brought them to this dimension is inside and to get back home they have to face it. But still reluctant to set the first step, scared as she is, Rose looks at her boyfriend. She counts on him to protect her as she only has little power herself. Somewhere deep inside her Rose knows she has it in her to protect him too, but for now she needs his guidance in this quest.

Leviathan was eager to accept Pomona's challenge, and urged her to give it all she got- she'd need it this time. "I don't doubt it," grinned Pomona- indeed, she was certain this was going to be a much more difficult battle than last time, and now she wasn't going to feel any twinges of guilt about hitting Leviathan with Grass-type moves. Wanting to start strong, the Ivysaur extended a pair of vines, but they were glowing with a harsh purple light- she was intending to start with a Power Whip, one of her strongest attacks. To follow that up, she needed to call upon the strength she got from her bond with her Trainer, for her next move, she decided, would be Return.

Inside, Jake explained what happened- a pair of Trainers ambushed him, and though he fought hard, they used Pokémon he had never seen before. "Pokémon you never seen or heard of before?" Keith repeated. "What were they? I mean, did they call them by name or something? Maybe I can find them in my Pokédex," he suggested, taking the red box out of his pocket.

Jake then stated that he couldn't come with Cyanide, stating that he had no idea where his Pokémon were taken, and even if he did, it'd be suicide for him to walk in there, with Willbert adding that one of them used a fourth-stage Pokémon, which made Meowth do a double take.

"Fourth stage Pokémon?" Meowth repeated skeptically. "Dat ain't possible- nuttin' can evolve more den twice, right?"

"Actually," Peeves chimed in, "Chuck mentioned something to me recently that suggests that certain supposedly fully-evolved Pokémon can evolve even further, though not in the usual sense of the term- it's somewhere between a forme change and an evolution, he claims. He mentioned that it could apply to Pokémon like Gengar, Pinsir, Houndoom, Ampharos, Banette, that sort of thing."

"Really?" Keith replied. "Interesting. But right now, I think the priority is helping get Jake's Pokémon back."

"You're damn right, that's the priority right now!" Cyanide replied. "Meowth, get him to send out Gemini and Nagini. If Jake won't come with me, I might need backup of some kind."

"Cyanide says she wants youse ta send out yer Arbok and Weezing," Meowth translated. "She wants backup when she's out dere lookin' fer Pom."

"Cyanide, you sure about this?" Keith asked his Umbreon. After two seconds of eye contact with aforementioned Umbreon, he nodded. "I withdraw the question," he chuckled as he tossed two Poké Balls into the air. Gemini the Weezing and Nagini the Arbok materialized in twin flashes of light. "Gemini, Nagini, some of Jake's Pokémon were stolen from him," Keith explained. "One of them was Cyanide's boyfriend. So, you two are gonna go with her and save them, alright?"

"Chaa," nodded Nagini.

"Weezing," added Gemini.

"Good," Keith nodded. "Now, be sure and understand me- you're to do anything Cyanide tells you to. Listen to her as if you were listening to me. Understand?" Again, the pair of Poison-types nodded, then turned to face Cyanide. And as Jake confirmed to Rubeus that Bubbles was indeed among the Pokémon stolen from him, the Stunfisk flew over to Cyanide.

"I'm coming, too," the white-finned Stunfisk said, his voice full of determination. "I must save Bubbles!"

"Alright, let's move out," Cyanide barked. "Oh, wait- Jake," she added, addressing Jake again. "At least tell us where you were when this happened so we got somewhere to start from, alright?"

In the kitchen, Melittin's admittedly irritated explanation that he was indeed eating the chocolate only served to infuriate Vermillion. The Torkoal yelled that he was going to take the chocolate from him by force, just as he broke through the Reflect. He fired an Ember at Melittin, but Lalu jumped in the way, taking the attack for herself. Now Melittin was pissed. As Lalu used her Rock Blast, the Beedrill threw in a Poison Sting, before taking another huge bite of the chocolate- his plan B was to eat all the chocolate before this bully of a Torkoal could get to it.

Botch explained that he was just a little shaken due to some of his teammates being stolen, but he was still stammering. Strychnine looked at him with some concern, knowing that there had to be more to it than this. "There's something else wrong, isn't there?" she asked gently. "Botch, come on, you know you can tell me anything. Please, just tell me what's wrong," said the Muk.

As they reached the porch of the mansion, Rose pointed inside reluctantly. In response, Chuck gently gripped her hands with the hand she was currently holding onto, to try and reassure her. The silence was broken by Peach, the normally hyperactive Pachirisu nervously asking whether they were really planning on going inside, stating how dark and not-nice it looked in the mansion. "Well, it doesn't exactly look much better out here," Chuck replied, as Rose gave a scared nod. "I'm not looking forward to it, but if we have any hope of getting back, we have to find who or what brought us here in the first place, and whatever that is is inside that mansion." He then looked at Rose, who was looking at him. He gave as reassuring of a smile as he could under the circumstances. "Just hold onto my hand, Rose," he said to her. "We'll go in together, and we'll stick together the whole time, all right?"

The will of Willbert!

As Vermillion fired off the Ember, Lalu jumped in the way of the attack to protect Melittin.
The Roggenrola then retaliated with a powerful Rock Blast.
The super effective attack caused Vermillion to fall over onto his shell.

The Beedrill then attacked the helpless Torkoal with a Poison Sting, sending him spinning around like a top, before taking another bite of the chocolate.

''This is to cruel!'' ''H-help me!'' The Torkoal pleaded as he continued to spin around helplessly.

Hearing this, a Blitzle came dashing over to Vermillion's aid.
''Don't worry Vermillion, I've got ya!'' Hayai said before stopping the Torkoal and flipping him back over.

''Vermillion what happened?'' The Blitzle asked.

''Those two stole my chocolate, then they thought it would be funny to watch a Torkoal top!'' Vermillion lied

''Is that true?'' Hayai asked Lalu and Melittin.
''Because if that's true, then that's just low!''

Strychnine didn't fall for Botch's lie, knowing that there had more to Botch's stammering then some of his teammates being stolen, and so asked the Grimer what else was wrong.

''Umm I-I don't k-know how to say this w-without hurting your feelings, a-and I know it sounds-s a bit stupid b-but I have a fear o-of Muk'' Botch stammered.

Meowth was skeptical at Willbert claiming that one of the trainers used a fourth stage pokemon, claiming that pokemon could only evolve twice.

Willbert was about to respond, but Peeves, Kieth's Dusclops came into the conversation, claiming that some fully evolved could evolve even further, but that it was like a cross between a forme change and an evolution.

Peeves then listed off some examples of pokemon capable of this method, such as Gengar, Houndoom and Ampharos.

''That must be what happened!'' Jake exclaimed.
''The two pokemon were these new evolutions of Ampharos and Houndoom''

Kieth then sent out Gemini and Nagini, his Weezing and Arbok to help Cyanide, along with Rubeus the Stunfisk, the pokemon were ready to go rescue Jake's pokemon.

But before the group of four left, Cyanide asked Jake were he was when he was ambushed, so they had somewhere to start from.

''I was at...'' Jake started.
''I'm going as well!'' Willbert exclaimed before jumping off Jake's shoulder.

''No you can't Willbert, you're still at a very low level, I can't risk losing anyone else!'' Jake exclaimed.

''No, I have to go, I failed to protect my teammates, I need to make that up to them, and you'' Willbert explained

''Besides I can lead them to where we were, trust me I can hold my own!'' And with that Willbert walked over to the other pokemon.

Leviathan dives as deep at the lake allows him to, there he waits. He thinks of what happened before. Ponoma proofed to be good at anticipating his attacks, and now that the has evolved his goal is no longer to the same. He doesn't have to push himself to and over the limits of his body anymore. Tactical play is needed now. He knows Ponoma didn't truly give it her all when he was still a Magikarp. While giving more than he could really take at that stage it was never too much. But now everything will be different. She will give it everything this time around, and so will he.

With a good, new plan of approach in his head Leviathan rushes to the surface of the lake, keeping enough distance from the shore to prevent Ponoma from using any for her close ranged attacks. His quick ascend is leaving trails at the surface however, attending Ponoma on the point where Leviathan will come up. A big slash follows shortly as the Gyarados jumps out of the water with a bright yellow-orange orb of energy in his mouth, but he is greeted by two powerful vines giving him a Powerful Whipping. The vines leave a painful mark, angering Leviathan as he fires a powerful Hyper Beam towards Ponoma. The Atrocious Pokémon then back off more towards the center of the lake, summoning the power of his Water typing to create a huge wave of water. Keeping full control over the wave and himself Leviathan then rides the wave, Surfing to the shore to land another attack on the Ivysaur.

Back in the base, Melittin and Lalu still have to deal with Vermillion, the hungry Torkoal that's still out to get the chocolate sculpture Lalu made for Melittin. The two friends see their attacks having an immediate effect on the Torkoal as they manage to topple him and make him spin like a top. But now a Blitzle is joining in too.

"That's not true!" Lalu jumps forward towards the Blitzle, "I've put a lot of time and work into creating this chocolate sculpture for my friend here after he helped me out. It's my work and his to eat!" Lalu sounds angry and never one to accept rude behavior she turns towards the Torkoal himself now. "You're so rude to just expect that everything is yours to eat when someone else is not eating it. Show some decency and at least ask if you can have something. And now apologize to Melittin or you'll see more rocks flying your way!"

Somewhere in a different realm, Rose takes Chucks hand after his words of encouragement. Together they step, or hover, forward. Peach follows the two closely, judging from the frightened look on her face she doesn't really want to go inside, she being outside all by herself seems to be an ever scarier prospect.

The moment all three passed through the door it swiftly closes with a loud slamming noise. A moment later the room is filled with bright light, blinding Rose, Chuck and Peach.

"Welcome!" they here the same feminine voice they heard screeching before, "Welcome at the Millenary Games!"

The blinding effect of the light starts to fade away and when Rose is able to see again her heart almost stops beating. The very same moment her sight returns she hears loud cheering coming from all around her. They went into a mansion but what she sees now does not look like a house in any shape or form. The trio find themselves in a large, round arena. Around the walls of at least three or four meters high protecting the stands behind them from any possible attacks. The sands itself go all around the arena, with the exception of the area above the door. They are filled with all kinds of Ghost and Dark Type Pokémon going on for at least six rows with a four row second ring on top of it.

"And please welcome our combatants!" Rose looks to where the voice is coming from. In front of them, at the opposite end of the arena, a balcony like structure is build in a wall extending as high as the second ring. A purple, feminine looking creature hovers on this balcony. It looks to be wearing a big hat and a long coat embedded with three big, red crystals. Two evil looking red eyes peer from under the rim of the hat, an even more devilish smile on its face. The crowd of Pokémon cheers even louder as this Pokémon looks around.

"Today we celebrate the closing stages of Millennium Event with the Millenary Games, and we thank Faith for bringing us these combatants. So thank you Faith."

"My pleasure, Lady Lust." A deep and dark voice comes from behind Rose and Chuck, "It was an easy capture, they were fooled so easily and Pride's illusions sealed the deal."

Rose now holds Chuck's hand even tighter as she slowly turns her head around. Peach stands there, no longer looking scared. Instead she has an expression on her face almost as dark as Lust. One eye all black, the other red as blood. She starts glowing in a dark red hue, she grows and now hovers above the floor like so many of the Ghosts around them. Peach no longer looks like a Pachirisu, but now looks like a big, bulky, grey ghost herself. Yellow markings on her belly and arms, a single red eye and an antenna like appendix on her head. She floats over the the Pokémon referred to as Lust and takes a place besides her.

Rose has no idea who or what this purple Pokémon may be, but the new form of Peach somehow reminds her a bit of Peeves. She looks at Chuck, all her senses are numb, she doesn't know what to feel as this whole experience is starting to get too much for her to handle. Lust meanwhile continues to talk.

"Let me explain the rules for these brave combatants. You have been chosen by Faith to participate in the Millenary Games. This means you will fight seven deadly opponents. Till. You. Die." Lust speaks these words in darkest way possible with a smile from ear to ear before continuing surprisingly friendly, "Of course, should you manage to kill your opponents you're free to walk. But if you don't, you will stay in the Spirit World for eternity!"

The crowd cheers loudly once again and Rose is still standing still, looking at Chuck, a blank expression in her eyes.

OOC: Private story line below, please keep it that way, thank you

Somewhere else in Rowan's base, three Pokémon stand in a tiny, dim lit room.

"We need to get this plan going!" A shady voice takes the lead in the conversation the Pokémon are having. "So far they suspect nothing, we must hit the pay dirt now!"

"Y-yes s-sir!" A young voice, it sounds scared of the leader.

"Then get busy digging you fool before something happens to you!"

A ticking sound, like many heels hitting stone, it slowly fades away from the room as it goes deeper into a tunnel.

"Make sure he does his job and make sure he does it properly and hit the layer today. Report back to me as soon as he does and continue with phase two. I will notify Rowan the moment phase two is set into motion. He will be pleased with my progress, and I will have access to the riches I need and he doesn't know of. We don't have to tell him everything." A glittering eye now accompanies the shady voice of the leader.

"Good one Boss." A third voice hisses, slithering around the room before slowly disappearing in the tunnel.

"Good, all gears are in motion. Soon Rowan will his mining site right here in his base, and I will have all the gold I want! Muahahaha!"

Inside the tunnel Zwart is following Dwebble closely, making sure doesn't do anything the Big Boss doesn't want.

"Hurry up you peasant!" the Seviper hisses, "Or I'll stick you on my tail! You're here to dig up the gold and minerals in this mine. And maybe, if you work hard enough, the Boss will allow you to get a rock to hide your sorry self under! So hurry up!" Zwart whips his tail on Dwebble's back, leaving a big, bloody mark in the soft tissue of Dwebble's skin. The little crustacean is hurt, almost near crying, and runs even faster through the shaft of the tunnel until he reaches the end.

"Now get back to digging!" Zwart whips the Dwebble again, leaving another mark. With tears running down his face the little Dwebble starts spitting his corrosive acid at the rock in front of him, working it with his pincers, slowly digging his way through the earth. Zwart ever watching over his shoulder, his tail ready to strike down at any moment, a sadistic smirk on his face.

With a great splash, Leviathan surfaced, further from the shore than he had surfaced as a Magikarp, likely with the intent of evading Pomona's close-range moves. He had clearly not counted on Pomona's Power Whip, however, and the move hit hard. The Gyarados retaliated with a forceful Hyper Beam, which sent Pomona skidding backwards. Powerful though the move was, Pomona wasn't out just yet, though! She got back to her feet, thrilled by the exciting battle she was a part of, in time to see an oncoming tidal wave, with Leviathan Surfing on it, both wave and Gyarados headed straight for the Ivysaur. Immediately, she decided on a more disruptive tactic, rather than trying to meet this incredible force head-on with brute strength. The Ivysaur jumped backwards a bit to make a little room.

"Saaaauuuur... Ivy!" Pomona exclaimed as she winked. This caused a bunch of glowing pink hearts to form in the air and fly straight towards Leviathan- Pomona was using Attract.

Inside the base, Melittin was satisfied as the gluttonous Torkoal was turned on his back, but before long, a Blitzle came running in and flipped him back over. And then, to Melittin's shock and outrage, Vermillion lied to the Blitzle, claiming Melittin stole the chocolate from him, and that he and Lalu flipped him on his back just for the lulz. Worse still, the Blitzle was swallowing the lie without question.

"That's not true!" snapped Melittin, though he blushed as he realized that he and Lalu had said this simultaneously. Lalu told the Blitzle the reality of the situation- she had made the chocolate sculpture for Melittin. "She's right, you know," Melittin added, holding up the sculpture. Though bites had been taken out, they were mostly of the Steelix. The representation of Melittin himself was still intact. "It's me, standing triumphantly over a defeated Steelix, see?" he said. Then the Roggenrola turned on the Torkoal, demanding that he apologize to Melittin. Melittin recognized the anger in Lalu's voice- it was the same anger she had when she and Melittin first met, and if there was one thing Melittin learned from that memory, it was that Lalu would always make good on her threats. He said nothing, waiting to see what Vermillion would do in response.

Botch stammered out a response that Strychnine had most certainly not seen coming- as it turned out, Botch, the Grimer, was afraid of Muk. Strychnine's mouth fell open. "Oh, Botch..." she murmured. "I... I had no idea," she said, sounding almost apologetic. "...If you don't mind telling me... why is it you're afraid of Muk?" she added. As she said this, she seemed to shrink down just a little bit. Not very noticeable, but it was happening nonetheless. She was using Minimize, hoping that by shrinking herself down closer to Botch's size, she could make him feel a little more at ease.

Jake stated that what they were discussing must be the case, as the Pokémon that had been used against him were the supposed evolutions of Houndoom and Ampharos. "Wow," Keith remarked. Then, before Jake could tell Cyanide where he had been at the time of the attack, his Snorunt interjected, stating that he'd go with them and lead them to where the Trainers ambushed Jake. Jake did not think this a good idea, but Willbert seemed to have made up his mind.

This was good enough for Cyanide, and with her eyes glowing blue with Psychic energy, she pulled the lever and opened up the base door. "Alright, let's move out," she stated. "Willbert, you lead us to where this happened," she said to the Snorunt, as she, Nagini, and Gemini walked, slithered, and floated towards the base door, respectively. Rubeus flew right behind them, a determined look on his face.

"Jake, listen," Keith said to his friend. "I know you're worried about Willbert, but believe me when I say that you got nothing to worry about. Gemini and Nagini are two of my absolute strongest Pokémon. And Nagini in particular... you've never seen her when she gets angry, have you? I wouldn't doubt it- it doesn't happen often. But if you've seen her when she gets angry, if you've ever seen what she does to those who threatens her friends, you wouldn't be too worried, either. And don't even get me started on Cyanide. She's not quite as powerful as Gemini or Nagini just yet, but when she gets her heart set on something, there truly is no stopping her."

Meanwhile, in another dimension, Rose took Chuck's hand, and the Ralts and Haunter slowly entered the eerie, foreboding, and downright creepy house. Was it a bad idea? Likely. Worse than staying outdoors in this strange, unknown dimension? Ehh... Nah, it was more likely that the way back to their own dimension was within that house. Peach followed behind them, supposedly thinking along the same lines.

And then, with a loud bang, the doors swiftly slammed shut behind them. Chuck had no time to react to this, however, as the room they were in was flooded with harsh light. It was absolutely blinding, and then the same female screeching voice from before sounded again. This time, it was speaking legibly, welcoming those who heard it to something called the Millenary Games.

Chuck began to regain his eyesight, and when he did, his mouth fell open. They were apparently in a huge stadium, with Ghost-types and Dark-types of all kinds seated on all sides around them. Speaking to the crowd from a balcony directly across from the reluctant visitors was the source of that voice- a purple, witch-like being that Chuck knew to be a Mismagius. As she thanked someone named Faith for bringing them the combatants, the Haunter was astonished to hear the thanks being received by someone who was right where Peach ought to be standing. He wheeled around, and saw, to his astonishment, that the Pachirisu- for lack of a better term, as it was becoming clear that whatever Peach or Faith or whoever this is was, she was no innocent bucktoothed Pikaclone. The Haunter felt somewhat indignant as this... thing... mentioned how easily he and Rose were fooled, and also mentioned illusions made by someone named Pride. Rose turned around at that point (as Chuck's hands were not physically attached to him, he hadn't turned his hands when he wheeled around himself), just as Peach started to transform, and now she floated across the stadium in what appeared to be her true form- a Dusknoir, the evolved form of Dusclops, the kind of Pokémon Peeves would someday become (though most likely much more pleasant than this manipulative thing, Chuck thought, that's for sure). Rose was holding onto Chuck's hand much more tightly now, and Chuck tightened his grip on Rose's hand even more to try and reassure her. He was there for her, and he always would be, even through this... what in the Distortion World was this whole thing, anyway?

The Mismagius, apparently named Lust, wasted no time in answering that- for reasons the Haunter could not figure out, he and Rose had been selected to participate in the Millenary Games. As it transpired, they were to face off against seven deadly opponents, the battle being to the death, as Lust seemed to take great pleasure in emphasizing. OK. now Chuck was scared. But he didn't act on his fear, no, he couldn't do that. Lust stated that if they managed to triumph over their opponents, they would be allowed back home, so it was looking as though this was their best bet. He saw no way around this- the crowd seemed eager for the fight to get underway, so there was no way trying to talk his and Rose's way out of this was going to work.

"I... I don't think we have a choice here, Rose," Chuck murmured to his beloved. "We... We'll have to fight. It's our only chance to return home." He didn't sound very eager to get involved in the battle, but there was an undertone of determination to his voice- there could be no doubt that Chuck was going to give it his all. Not only for his sake, but for Rose's as well. He turned back to face the balcony where Lust was floating. "Very well," the Haunter said, making a valiant effort to sound much braver than he was feeling. "If that's what it takes for us to be able to return home, then let's do this."

Official Notice, Return of the Forgotten and Gluttony appears!

As Leviathan is surfing towards Ponoma he sees her wink at him and a flurry of pink heart fly in his direction. They circle around him as the pink glow starts to affect him. 'You know, she's actually a pretty cute girl,' he thinks, 'Not sure anymore if going all out is such a good idea. I mean, I want to show her how I feel, and show of my strength to make her like me too, but I don't want to hurt her too much.' Leviathan's is too preoccupied and loses focus on his Surf which has lost a lot of power when it hits the lands, spreading a wave of water over the ground that's now more refreshing than harmful.

Leviathan sees this happening and thinks, 'Man up man! That was poor, she'd hardly going to be impressed by that I need to come up with something better.' And so Leviathan takes his sweet time to get to a strategy that shows his own strength, but doesn't harm Ponoma too much, before finally deciding weather control might do the trick, summoning an icy cold, yet not too powerful Blizzard in the process.

'I hope she like this,' the Gyarados thinks while he moves himself from left to right to control the flow of the wind, creating a lovely waving pattern of snow that blow all around Ponoma, while forming a heart like shape on the ground.

Back in the base, Fae is still with Peeves and Helena. She smiles, even though it's impossible to see from the outside of her cocoon. "I wonder how I will look too and I wonder how it will be to fly in the air like you. And do you think I can meet Severus? I think it will be fun and interesting to meet a Dustox, we are so different but still very similar too."

At the same time, inside Fae's cocoon, the whole transformation process rapidly progressing. Fae can feel it, the process gives her a tingly feeling all over her body. "I don't think it will take all that long anymore either before I evolve again you know. I can feel it." She looks at Helena and Peeves, two Ghosts that are no longer a source a fear, but rather a source of friendship.

Elsewhere, inside a grand arena, Rose and Chuck now find themselves in quite a predicament. The two know they have no choice but to fight their way out of this, even though Rose has no battle experience whatsoever. Chuck voices their thoughts and accepts the challenge. Rose can feel he doesn't really want to fight, but she also feels his determination and will to succeed. Not just to get home, but also to protect her. Lust however, is only focused on the Millenary Games.

"Very well," she says with a creepy smile, "It is not like you have much of choice in the matter, but an opponent eager to die is more entertaining to us to watch too." She laughs, and the whole crowd greets it with even louder cheering.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome our first champion!" The crowd goes wild once again. "This black hole of creature swallows all his opponents whole. His appetite is insatiable. His power is ever increasing in today's human world. Welcome Gluttony!"

Under wild whistling, cheering and other sounds the ground splits open in front of Rose and Chuck, shaking Rose of her feet. From within the fissure a creature slowly ascends. It's a big, bulky grey ghost with a single red eye.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Gluttony and contestants, let the battle begin!" Lust leaves a moment to allow the crowd to cheer before she continues ever so dark, "First turn is yours, use it wisely, or there may follow no more."

OOC: Private story line below.

"Boss, boss, we've done it boss!" A voice hisses from within the tunnel, quickly slithering his way towards the room, "Phase one is completed and I've smacked that Dwebble into starting phase two."

"Good, very good," A sinister voice replies, sinister but content, as the Crime Lord is pleased with the quick progress, "Get back to your job immediately, we are not done yet. I will notify Rowan now, and you better make sure phase one is truly completed and that the connecting tunnel has collapsed. We cannot afford any slip-ups at this stage and at this level."

"Yes sir!" the subordinate voice hisses as it slithers away again.

At the same time the Summoner of Night flies of to the computer. He has a few more lines of data to process and print out the files before he can fly to Rowan to notify him of his success. They were right, this old mine has plenty of riches left in it. More riches than the previous exploiters got out of it even. The ground is still full with precious and useful minerals, minerals that will surely give a boost to the Virote business back in Slateport. But while Rowan is only interested in that, the Banker of the Underworld has set his eyes on a second product of the mine, gold. And not just any gold either, good quality gold and a clear vein where you can just knock the nuggets out.

A short time later the Bringer of Darkness spreads his wings. He has what he needs and swiftly makes his way through the narrow passage and bush that separate his hideout from Rowan's bedroom and makes his way down. There, in the kitchen, he finds Rowan who is reading a paper.

"Ah, Corvus, nice to see you again, what do you have for me?" Rowan notices his Honchkrow as he lands on the table and sees the papers the bird carries in his talons. The Big Boss Pokémon greets his trainer by tapping his wing against his fedora like feather crest and drops the paperwork on top the paper Rowan was reading.

"Well, this looks interesting," Rowan looks at the now opened papers, "Looks like we were right indeed Corvus, and you got the mines operational again too. Well done my friend, this will surely give the company a nice boost." Rowan sighs, "And hopefully this will get my father of my back for a while too."

OOC: And with this the new layout of my base, as can be seen in the TO and the Op of this thread, is now official. The new level may now be used and the lake can be used to swim in either with or without Pokémon ^_^

Pomona giggled as the Attract took hold, and the effect was immediate and noticeable- Leviathan's attacks suddenly became weaker, and his Surf was, if anything, refreshing. Then, he unleashed a Blizzard, forming a heart shape on the ground, while not actually doing much of any damage to Pomona. She still shivered, though- she was, after all, a Grass-type. Once the Blizzard died down, the Ivysaur unleashed a blast of Poison Powder, then started up her next move- the extremely powerful Petal Dance.

Back inside, Fae was still talking with the two Ghost-types, her fears seeming to have faded away almost entirely, much to Helena's delight. Though the Silcoon's smile was not visible due to the cocoon encasing all but her eyes, Helena had a feeling she was smiling nonetheless- being a Shuppet, she could taste emotions, and could tell that Fae had warmed up to them. The conversation turned to how Fae would look once she evolved. "I've seen a few Beautifly when I was alive," Helena smiled. "They're beautiful, I think you're going to love how you look." Then, Fae asked if she could meet Severus, claiming that it'd be interesting to meet a Dustox, what with her being the pre-evolution of Beautifly, before adding that she could feel that it wouldn't be much longer before she evolved again.

"Really?" Peeves asked in surprise. "You haven't been a Silcoon for that long yet, though."

"Peeves, Pokémon like Caterpie, Weedle, and Wurmple evolve really quickly," explained Helena. "Remember how fast Melittin went from Weedle to Beedrill?"

"Oh, yeah," nodded the Dusclops.

"That's really great, though, Fae," Helena smiled, turning back to the Silcoon. "And sure, I'll get Keith to bring out Severus."

With that, Helena floated over to Keith. "Hey, Helena," Keith said.

"Keith, could you maybe send out Severus?" Helena asked. "Fae wants to meet him."

"Sure," smiled Keith. He pressed a few buttons on his Pokédex, and another Poké Ball appeared on his belt. He plucked this ball off the belt, enlarged it, and tossed it in the air. In a flash of light, a Dustox materialized. "Tox, tox!" Severus exclaimed.

"Thank you," smiled Helena before she floated up to where Severus was hovering. "Severus," she added, "Could you come with me, please? A friend of mine, Fae, a Silcoon, wants to meet you."

"Oh, OK, sure," agreed the Dustox. And with that, Helena led Severus over to where Peeves and Fae were. "Hello, Fae," grinned Severus. "So I see you became a Silcoon, huh? Cool, though that just wasn't right for me, you know? From the moment I was born, I've been surrounded by Poison-types, and I always felt right at home with them, so the fact that I became this doesn't surprise me in the least. By the way, my name's Severus," he added.

Meanwhile, in the Spirit World, Lust responded to Chuck, stating that though he and Rose had no choice in the matter, it was always amusing to watch an opponent eager to die. This caused the crowd to roar with laughter as Lust announced the arrival of the first champion, Gluttony. As soon as the name was spoken, the ground shook, knocking Rose off her feet. As Chuck helped her back up, the shaking ground split open, and a bulky grey ghost rose up out of it- a Dusclops.

"A Dusclops," murmured Chuck, potential strategies already whirling through the Haunter's mind. OK, he thought to himself, Peeves told me that Pressure is the only Ability a Dusclops can even have, so that's likely to come into play here... and they can take a lot of hits, they're just as bulky as they look... "Here's the plan, Rose," he whispered to the Ralts he was still holding hands with. "Dusclops have the Pressure Ability, so we'll probably find ourselves running low on energy more quickly than usual. And with defenses like those, I doubt we'll be able to finish this especially quickly. If you have any attacks that can cause status conditions, I think this would be an ideal opponent to use them on," he stated. Indeed, Chuck intended to start out the match with a Confuse Ray, though it was his intent to follow it up with Shadow Punch. His plan was to try and still use attacking moves, but to not rely entirely on them, lest Gluttony's Pressure get the best of them. And of course, the most important part to remember, he would keep Rose safe. He remembered the promise he made Rose just before he evolved, and he had every intention of keeping it.

'I think she did like it!' the Gyarados looks at the cloud of pretty sparkles that flies towards him, oblivious to the fact the Ponoma is trying to poison him, and happily walks into it. The powder particles cover large parts of his body, but have yet to have their effect.

Leviathan then watches as Ponoma dances for him, again oblivious to the true intention of the dance. He sees Ponoma create a beautiful flurry of pretty pink petals, moving around her on the rhythm of the wind at an ever increasing speed. It is a remarkable sight to behold and Leviathan is enjoying every second of it, seeing the Pokémon he loves perform this majestic dance. But he is in for a rude awakening. The petals keep picking up speed and are now swirling around at a dangerous pace and then, as Ponoma completes her dance, she aims the flower on her back towards Leviathan in a finishing pose and all the petals suddenly fly toward the unsuspecting victim. The attack crashes into him, making him roar in pain.

Leviathan roars again, the hell was he thinking. This is a battle! A battle, and one he has to win! And so the Atrocious Pokémon feels it is time to honor his species name, firing off a Ice Beam towards his opponent, quickly followed by another deadly Hyper Beam.

Fae is happy to hear that Severus is around, albeit still in his Pokéball at Keith's belt. But nothing that Helena can't solve and it doesn't take the Shuppet long to have Keith release his Dustox.

"Hello Severus, my name is Fae," she greets the Dustox with a smile, though not that anyone can see it, "Nice to meet you. I can't really I have met all of my teammates yet. I have only met a few because I'm quite new to Rowan's team. I really hope I will evolve again soon though. I can feel that it will not take too long, but I want to fly around like you. See the world and smell the flowers again."

Fae closes her eyes as she thinks of a life as a Beautifly. She isn't sure how she will look, but she just knows that she will look gorgeous. How can it not be with such a name? "I never had much time to enjoy the world you know, I really enjoy life, even despite the scary ghost thing. But I want to see the world with different eyes. As a Wurmple I always walked among the flowers, looking up at them, but never able to see the whole picture. A picture you can see already. But in some time I will finally be able to fly. I can look down on the fields of color, see the whole picture and truly enjoy a great view of the world."

She opens her eyes again and giggles, "I just hope that time comes quick."

Elsewhere, Rose and Chuck are up against the Dusclops Gluttony. The Haunter explains his plans, explaining that Dusclops are very defensive and that attacking them takes more energy due to their Pressure ability, suggesting they use status moves to wear the Dusclops down that way to conserve energy. Rose however, has never been in a serious battle before, the only Pokémon she ever fought were little Zigzagoon and that was even before she knew any proper moves.

Rose takes her boyfriend's hand and looks at him, slowly shaking her head. She them glows up in a multicolored aura before transferring the colorful display onto her partner. Chuck now too is glowing in the bright colors of Rose her Helping Hand, giving him a nice boost in his attacking power. The little Psychic type smiles and shakes her head again. She is not the one to do the battling, she just doesn't know how to fight. But the thing she can do is support her boyfriend and give him all the strength and protection he needs.

Gluttony however sees Rose her move as his cue to attack and he sluggishly charges a red energy in his eyes, followed by a bright purple Ray of light. The intentions was to Confuse the targets, bus instead of hitting Rose and Chuck, the ray is blocked by a green barrier that surrounds the two, Safeguarding them from any negative effects. Chuck meanwhile is quick to send his own Confuse Ray towards Gluttony, who is now charging a ball of black and purple rings between his hands. Right before before Chuck's ray hits the target Gluttony releases his rings in a powerful Dark Pulse which crashes through the Safeguard towards Rose. And the Dusclops is not done yet as he uses another widespread Confuse Ray, making Rose choose between dodging the attack and lowering the Safeguard to have them both hit by the Confuse Ray, or to keep the shield up and be hit by Dark Pulse. Rose however, is too focused on maintaining her barrier and doesn't see the Pulse coming, making Chuck the only one able to act.

Pomona couldn't help but notice that her Poison Powder didn't seem to have taken effect just yet. But she couldn't concern herself with that right now- she had a plan, and she intended to carry it out. Therefore, she proceeded to dazzle the lovestruck Leviathan with a beautiful Petal Dance, but once the attack actually landed, that snapped the Gyarados out of it. An Ice Beam was quickly headed Pomona's way, and already she could spot the Gyarados charging up a Hyper Beam. Figuring that the Poison Powder had to have taken effect by now, Pomona made ready to run as fast as she could in hopes of evading the attacks, while simultaneously charging up her next move- the Venoshock attack.

Back inside, Fae was introducing herself to Severus, stating that she couldn't wait to evolve and be able to fly around like the Dustox could. She then closed her eyes, and though she didn't outright say that she was picturing life as a Beautifly, Severus got the idea nevertheless. In the short amount of time he spent as a Cascoon, he would often do the same thing, though obviously he'd be picturing what it'd be like to be a Dustox. Sure enough, at that point, she started talking about how she wanted to be able to see the world from up in the air. "Yeah, I get what you mean," the Dustox nodded. "It was amazing when I evolved from Cascoon, finally being able to fly, having such an amazing view." As the Silcoon expressed a hope that her evolution would come soon, Severus replied, "It probably won't take long. I didn't spend very long as a Cascoon, I doubt it'd take much longer for a Silcoon."

Meanwhile, over in the Spirit World, the battle was getting underway. Rose, holding Chuck's hand, made the first move- a multicolored aura formed around her and spread to the Haunter. From the sudden surge of power Chuck felt, he knew that Rose had just used Helping Hand. He smiled at her, grateful for her willingness to help him. At that moment, however, Gluttony took the use of Helping Hand as a cue to get moving. He charged up and unleashed a Confuse Ray. Chuck tensed up and prepared to evade it, but the need never arose- Rose was now using Safeguard to protect them both. Grateful for his girlfriend's help, Chuck figured it was about time to return the favor. He fired off his own Confuse Ray, but just before it hit Gluttony, the Dusclops unleashed a powerful Dark Pulse, and it was headed right for Rose! Chuck's eyes widened in horror, especially as he realized that Rose was too focused on maintaining the Safeguard, mainly because Gluttony, in spite of his confusion from Chuck's Confuse Ray, was again using his own Confuse Ray. And right now, Chuck knew that there was no way in hell he was gonna just float there and let Rose take that Dark Pulse. He opted to say nothing to her so that she could maintain the Safeguard and shield them both from the Confuse Ray (they needed their wits about them, did they not?), but without hesitation, he charged right into the path of the Dark Pulse, taking the entirety of the super effective hit himself. Grunting, he unsteadily rose back into the air, though gave Rose a reassuring grin. Yes, the attack hurt like hell, but it would take more than that, a lot more than that, to get him down.

"I'm OK, Rose," he reassured her. Rose had noticed the Dark Pulse once it hit Chuck, and had stopped the Safeguard (though not before it had stopped that second Confuse Ray). "Alright... I wish I could use Toxic right about now, that move would work great," he muttered. Instead, the Haunter settled for his previous plan, and his left hand, the one not currently holding onto Rose's hand, his left hand became cloaked in a Shadowy aura, and flew forward, Punching the Dusclops, who reeled ever so slightly from the super effective blow. And then, Chuck realized that his Confuse Ray had still hit- Gluttony's eye was unfocused, he was confused! Of course, that hadn't stopped his Dark Pulse from being on target anyway, so Chuck worried nevertheless when he saw the Dusclops charging up a Shadow Ball. Rose, however, had heard Chuck mentioning the Toxic attack, and how well it would work against their adversary. Chuck might not know Toxic, but she sure did, and with that, Rose prepared to unleash Toxic at the confused Dusclops. Chuck smiled upon noticing this, and prepared to zap Gluttony with a Thunderbolt attack (obviously not until after Rose used Toxic, of course, didn't want paralysis ensuing and interfering with the attempted poisoning).

Ponoma plans on dodging both of Leviathan's attacks while simultaneously charging and firing her own Venoshock. The Gyarados however isn't letting her any room to do so. While Ponoma does manage to dodge the first two beams with her rapid movement, Leviathan keeps charging Hyper Beams in quick succession. The power of the beams may be highly reduced due to the quick charging, it also ensures he doesn't get too worn out as would happen with a single fully charged beam. And thus, as Ponoma tries to fire her Venoshock she gets hit by a Hyperbeam, pushing her back somewhat and taking her aim slightly off too resulting a small part of the toxic liquid missing the hulking Water Serpent. What does hit still damage Leviathan enough though as he screams in pain as the poison from the Venoshock interacts with the poison from the Poison Powder than now has found it's way through the Gyarados' thick scales into it's bloodstream.

The two now stand in front of each other, only a few meters between them. Leviathan is panting, while not completely worn out the Hyper Beams did take their toll. The Gyarados is tiring rapidly and on top of that there is the poison. He looks at the Ivysaur in front of him. He's not sure how she feels now and decides to take it easy now so he can recover a bit, only using his energy reserves for a Blizzard when it is really needed.

Back inside the base Fae is feeling more and more tingly, her transformation process being almost completed. She smiles at Severus, "I knew you would understand my feelings, despite our difference now we share our base form and that makes us the same too. It's nice to have someone around who really understands how you feel."

Now Fae turns to Helena and Peeves, "You two really helped me too you know. Before I met you I was terrified of ghosts, and Myrtle didn't really help that at the beginning. But thanks to you I think I have come to understand your kind a bit too. And you're not scary, you're friends."

And as Fae realizes Ghost-types are not inherently bad and scary she starts to glow. The same bright white-blue light that engulfed her before covers her again. Her cocoon breaks open along the top and falls open giving place for the pair of wings that have developed inside it to open up. They break through the crack in the glowing cocoon making it fall apart and soon the silhouette of a Beautifly can be seen in the light. Majestic wings keeping a small a frail body up in the air, a big head with antennae and a curled proboscis. Then, as the glow fades away Fae's large blue eyes become visible again as well as a most happy expression on her face.

"I can fly! she says happily as she moves through the air somewhat awkward, "I can finally fly! Hihi, this is funny, a little awkward still but funny."

Rowan in the meantime has arrived back from the living room just in time to see the final moments of the evolution process and walks over to Fae.

"Congratulations Fae! You have evolved again! I knew it would go quick with your species but I never imagined I would have a Beautifly this early. But you look beautiful Fae, I knew you would become a Beautifly and look at you now." He smiles at her and picks her out of the air, carefully holdings his arms around her body, "I'm happy for you, but I think sitting on my shoulder will be a bit difficult now."

"Beautifly beau beautifly," Fae sounds a bit disappointed and suddenly flies away out of Rowans arms only lands on top of Rowan's head, "Beauti beautifly!" She smiles and sounds happy again.

"Well, that's a solution to that problem than don't you think?"

"Beautifly!"

"Let's see what the dex has to say over you shall we? I'm certain it will be nicer about than it was about Leviathan." And so Rowan opens his Pokédex and aims it at the Beautifly on his head.

Rowan picks Fae from his head and lets her fly loose again, "Unfortunately I have to go for a moment, I have some business to attend to, so I will leave you to play with your friend again, okay Fae? I'll be back soon."

"Beautifly!"

And with that Rowan smiles and says his goodbye as he makes his way to the exit, his phone already in his hand. Business just never stops and it will only get worse now the new mine has been opened.

Meanwhile in the Spirit World the battle between Rose and Chuck and Gluttony has really started. The two saved each other from some harm, but Chuck took a nasty blow from a Dark Pulse. Now after Chuck discussed his new battle plan it was time to get going. While Gluttony is almost finished charging his attack Rose starts her own. Toxic is a harmful move and one she has never used before so she isn't really sure how it works, but nonetheless she manages to summon some of her Poison energy. Gluttony however has already finished his attack and the Shadow Ball is flying towards her and Chuck. Luckily the confusion made it too hard to aim properly and the ball of Ghostly energy flies well past them. Rose then spits a thin stream of Toxic liquid towards Gluttony. The latter however has already come back to his senses and simply decides to go ethereal for a moment and lowers himself into the ground and the Toxic stream just passes over him without effect. The Dusclops then reappears and prepares for something. Rose looks at the Ghost, but has no clue what he is doing. Gluttony is just standing there, his eyes shining light-blue with a similar aura around his body. Chuck however is not letting this opportunity pass. His body starts sparkling with Electric energy and he swiftly sends a Thunderbolt towards Gluttony who is still just standing there. The Electric bolt hits him hard and the glow fades away too, but while the Thunderbolt has had it's effect, nothing else has happened.

Rose now looks at Chuck, they need a different plan and Rose knows how she wants to deal with this opponent. She wants Chuck to just attack, status moves are unreliable and Ghosts are difficult to keep under status. Chuck has much more battle experience while Rose is good at protecting. Chuck doesn't have to worry about tiring too quickly, she has her tricks to help him in that case and in every other case if need be. On top of that, this is their world. Rose isn't sure what it is but she can feel it all around her that they have something up their sleeves should she and Chuck ever be able to get close to going home. Stall is not an option, they have to be smart and they must try to get this done quickly. But without words, how is she going to make it clear? Gluttony is still just standing there, doing nothing, and Rose pulls Chuck on his detached hand to get his attention. Back to the old way of communications, back to hands and feet. Rose points at Chuck and then towards Gluttony, using her hands and feet to punch and kick the air. Then she points towards herself, hugs Chuck and uses a mini-Safeguard hoping to get the point across to him that he should do the offense and leave the defense up to her.

Meanwhile, Lust is looking at the scene below her. "How touching," she says with the sarcasm clearly audible in her voice, "Now Gluttony, get to it!" The angry shout from Lust gets Gluttony moving, well, it starts attacking again as it hasn't moved an inch since the start of battle. The bulky Ghost sends a big amount of energy into the ground causing it to shake violently as if a Bulldozer is driving by an inch away. Rose gets hurt by the shaking and finds it difficult to stay standing, Chuck however is completely unharmed by the attack as he floats and seeing his girlfriend in trouble he uses one free hand to pick her up and uses to other to charge another Shadow Punch while Gluttony is using his free hands Charge a Beam of energy between them.

The battle between Pomona and Leviathan raged on. The Gyarados was attacking relentlessly, shooting off Hyper Beams in rapid succession (never fully charging them so as to be able to attack in such rapid succession without needing to recharge). Pomona tried to dodge the attacks, desperately seeking an opening to retaliate, but once she managed to fire off her Venoshock, she was hit by a Hyper Beam. This, unfortunately, fouled up her aim, and the Gyarados didn't take the full force of the Poison move. It made its mark in any case, however, and Leviathan screamed in pain. Once the attacks stopped, both Pokémon were panting, both of them worn out from the fight. It was close to ending, Pomona knew, and she grinned as she looked up at Leviathan. She knew, all too well, that the Gyarados was powerful, every bit as powerful as he had aspired to be, and she was happy for him. Also, she was thoroughly enjoying the battle itself, and knew she'd be satisfied with it, whatever the outcome may be. And then, she noticed that the Gyarados seemed to be trying to take it easy, trying to relax, to regain a bit of energy. And this gave her an idea. If he was trying to relax, she figured, why not help him out with that? A wonderfully alluring Sweet Scent wafted up from Pomona's flower towards the Gyarados's nostrils. A soothing, relaxing move, Sweet Scent. Pomona's plan was to make Leviathan too relaxed to try and do anything to block or evade the Venoshock she started charging up immediately after using Sweet Scent.

Back inside, Fae was happy that Severus understood her feelings, and then turned to face the pair of Ghost-types again, stating that they really helped her, that before she had met either of them, she was scared of ghosts, and Myrtle did nothing to help. "It was no trouble, really," Peeves replied modestly. "About Myrtle, though, I recommend giving her a chance eventually. Believe me, she rarely makes a good first impression, I know from experience. But she's honestly a good Pokémon, very deep down." Helena nodded in agreement with Peeves's words- and then Fae started to glow! This did not go unnoticed by Keith, whose mouth fell open slightly as the Silcoon evolved before their eyes. Finally, a freshly-evolved Beautifly rose into the air, albeit somewhat awkwardly, not being used to her wings just yet. "OK, that's pretty cool right there," Keith grinned, taking out his Pokédex after Rowan had used his own to look up Beautifly.

"Beautifly, the Butterfly Pokémon, and the evolved form of Silcoon," droned the device. "Beautifly has an aggressive nature, and attacks by jabbing with its long, thin mouth. It stabs its prey with this mouth and drains the fluids."

It was a decidedly different entry than what Rowan's Pokédex had rattled off, but Keith knew that different models often got different information. "That's awesome, Rowan," Keith grinned. "And I know what you mean, I love learning about my Pokémon when they evolve." Rowan left shortly after that, mentioning something about business.

As Fae happily flew around, Severus flew up to her. "Heh, told you it wouldn't take you long to evolve," he grinned. "Congrats, Fae." As Peeves and Helena called up to offer their congratulations as well, Severus spoke up again. "Hey, so, what say we fly around outside a bit?" he asked. "Help you get used to those wings, you know? Besides," he added, "it's been a while since I ever flew around just to look at the scenery."

Meanwhile, in the spirit world, the battle raged on. To Chuck's relief, Gluttony's confusion fouled up its aim with this one, and the Shadow Ball missed completely. Unfortunately, Rose's Toxic attack also missed, as the Dusclops employed his ghostly powers to sink into the floor for a moment, allowing the potent poison to pass right over his head. After this, Chuck didn't hesitate to unleash Thunderbolt, but Gluttony didn't seem fazed by the move very much... it had its effect, that much was certain, but what was that light blue aura that had come over it? Chuck didn't know. And then, he felt Rose pulling on his hand. How he could feel that when the hand wasn't actually attached to anything was not clear, but now was hardly the time to question it. He turned to look at Rose, who was pointing at him. Then, she pointed at Gluttony while punching and kicking at the air. Then, she pointed at herself, hugged Chuck, and then used a small-scale Safeguard for a moment. For a moment, Chuck thought about what the heck this meant, before it came to him. "I see," he nodded. "You want me to handle offense, and you to handle the defense?" Rose nodded, but before they could take that conversation any further, Lust sarcastically remarked on the touching scene taking place, before ordering Gluttony to get to it. The Dusclops immediately blasted energy into the ground, causing it to shake violently. This was a Ground-type move- Bulldoze! Chuck, thanks to his Levitate Ability, was immune to it, but Rose was finding it difficult to stand up. Noticing this, he picked up the Ralts with one hand, lifted her away from the offending attack, before using his free hand to fire a Shadow Punch at Gluttony. At the same time, the Dusclops was preparing a Charge Beam- a weak attack, Chuck knew, but it was still not a move to take lightly, as it could potentially power up Gluttony's special attacks. The Shadow Punch made contact, as Chuck knew it would- it was one of those few moves that never missed its mark, after all. Unfortunately, he was so focused on the Shadow Punch that he could not completely evade the Charge Beam. He had floated up in hopes of dodging it, but the move still grazed his ghostly tail. Fortunately, the move had at least failed to raise Gluttony's Special Attack.

"OK, let's see," Chuck murmured. "Rose, it's obviously gonna be tricky to hit him with Toxic, but if anything would help end the battle quickly, that would be it. The damage from Toxic's poison intensifies over time, not much would last for very long under its effects. He probably knows it, too, that's why he made such an effort to dodge... If only we could make sure he doesn't dodge, hold him in place somehow..." Rather than dwell on that for too long, Chuck decided it was about time he went on the offensive again. Shadow Punch was getting a bit repetitive, but at the moment, it was the best Ghost move at his disposal, so he was sticking with it. The Haunter unleashed another Shadow Punch, striking for more super effective damage, while Rose considered what Chuck had said about holding Gluttony in place... didn't she have a move that could do just that? Voodoo Bugaloo or something like that? Or wait- Disable. As Chuck prepared to use Night Shade, Rose prepared to use Disable. If that would really hold the Dusclops in place long enough, then she planned to try Toxic again. The priority was finishing the battle quickly, and if what Chuck said about Toxic was true, then surely this had to be the way to do it. Gluttony, meanwhile, was readying a second Charge Beam- the first one had failed to power him up (and let's be honest, that's the only reason anyone ever uses Charge Beam ever), but odds were a second usage of the move would result in a boost to his Special Attack.
