Relicanth UPN PASBL: Rangeet VS. Sneezey12

When the reffing gets tough, the tough get reffing. Stats:

So 5v5 seems to be growing in popularity. Here we have Rangeet, who's stopped battling except not really apparently, against Sneezey, who has recently returned to form. Or something. They're in the mall, which Sneezey seems to like a lot as of late. We'll be starting inside on the ground floor because I say so.

Rangeet, let's have a squad.

Oh yeah and I'll be reffing 1.5/2 for this and Elemental punches/fangs are now going to be fully-typed because that makes sense. Any major objections and I guess I could change this.

Lvl 3 M Electabuzz(Stone Cold Steve Austin)
Elekid is the toughest, meanest, SOB in the ASB. Hence, his name. Contrary to popular belief, he was not, in fact, born and raised on the streets- he was born to pretty rich parents. These parents quickly found out his natural affinity and trained him to increase his strengths.
Signature Move: Austin 3:16
Being the toughest, meanest SOB in the ASB, Elekid is not a fan of wimps. Therefore, he has the same SC as a Charizard(the whole "determination means he'll stay alive for another round" thing). However, he refuses to use Screech, Rest, or Feint(trolol) because they're all for wimps.

Lvl 4 M Charizard(RENAMED Rainbow Dash)
Kane is a demented monster. Also he's extremely weak to rock attacks and nobody likes that. Therefore he trained with Edge for ages(suffering many injuries- my Clefable helped with that) until he got better against them.
Signature Training: GENERIC ROCK TYPES DO NOT HURT ME
Kane takes 300% damage from Rock attacks, not 400%. Lol.

Lvl 3 M Aerodactyl(Edge)
Edge is a beast. Likes absolutely ripping apart stuff while not even caring for himself. He thinks it's pretty silly his species doesn't learn Head Smash. However it's a pretty difficult move to learn so he didn't bother learning it. That is, until he fought a Gyarados on a pool. Said Gyarados just chewed him up, thanks to no good Rock moves. To prevent this stuff from happening again, he...
Special Training: SPEAAAAAAAAARRRRRR
...learnt Head Smash.

Lvl 3 F Clefable(Fluttershy)

Lvl 3 M Primeape

Lvl 3 M Marowak(Kurt Angle)
Kurt really, really likes to fight. He loves to use his bone to smack pokemon and he loves to use ground attacks to destroy fire, electric or poison-type pokemon. He wasn't pleased with just that, though. He wanted to combine them. Therefore, he started training really hard. Eventually he managed to do just that.
Special Training: The Combine
Twice in a match, Kurt can infuse his bone with a Mud Shot's worth of ground energy. He can then use this energy in three attacks- Bone Club, Bonemerang, and Bone Rush. This has to be ordered, i.e "Use The Combine(Bone Club)!" It deals the damage the move would normally do, plus ground type damage of Mud Shot. It takes the energy of the attack being used, plus a Mud Shot, plus some light energy to infuse the bone.
It dissipates after the move is completed. While training to do this, Cubone did not learn Endeavor and Double-Edge.

Good luck Sneezy. Thanks Dave, although fuuuu 1.5/2x.

Good luck, 'geet. Thanks for picking this up Dave.

Anasazi: Male Dusclops (level 4) (level-up)
Biography: Anasazi is the ghost of a deceased tribal chief, known for his unrelenting war tactics and brutal power. His entire tribe was massacred and his land razed in the dead of night by another tribe, himself included. He holds a connection to the rest of his tribe that allows him to shift into their plane of existence with great effort.
Special Training: True Power
Anasazi can use Shadow Force once per match. Anasazi no longer benefits from fighting more enthusiatically at night, as most Ghosts do. Additionally, he is considered weak to Fire type moves, and can no longer use any Fire type moves. His connection to other spirits means that he does not have full control over his own being, let alone having control over that of others, and as such can no longer use Curse, Pain Split, or Destiny Bond.

Brutus: Male Marowak (level 3)
Biography: Brutus is well... a brute. He loves getting up close and personal with his opponents, but this obviously means that Flying Pokemon are even more of a bane to him than normal. While he did know how to hit them at a distance, nothing really seemed to... shake them the way he liked to throw off the enemies that were rooted to the ground. He was inspired by the idea that the energy from Earthquake could be transfered directly into an enemy to shake them up, and decided to tweak it to work with his bone, and his ability to throw it.
Special Attack: 'Quake 'Rang (Ground)
Brutus charges Ground energy into his bone before throwing it as he would a Bonemerang. The bone shakes violently as it travels through the air, the Ground energy working as a direct contact Earthquake on the bone. When the bone strikes an object, usually the opponent, it transfers the energy into it, shaking it violently like a direct contact Earthquake was used on them. The bone does not return to Brutus as it would if it were a Bonemerang, however, as the shaking makes it impossible to throw it on such a course. The attack does damage of about .9x that of a direct contact Earthquake, using energy about 1.1x that of a direct contact Earthquake. This move can be used twice a battle.

Imogen: Female Frillish (level 3)
Biography: Imogen spent her entire life in a dark, haunted bog, filled with rotting corpses and fouled water. The lack of a proper clean water source meant that almost everything around her was mud, so naturally she picked up a few moves from the local inhabitants.
Special Training: Eeeeeewwww...
Imogen can use Mud Shot, Mud Sport, and Muddy Water. However, due to the lack of a clean water source where she once lived, Imogen can no longer use Water Sport, BubbleBeam, Rain Dance, Absorb, Surf, or Waterfall.

Ismene: Female Gardevoir (level 3)
Sigless

Victoria: Female Furret (level 3)
Biography: Victoria loves the attacks Fire Punch, Ice Punch, and Thunder Punch, however, she dislikes the fact that she can only use two of them per round, so she has combined the three for the Ultimate Punch attack.
Special Attack: Ultimate Punch (Normal)
Victoria takes Ice, Fire, and Electric energy that would normally be used for the elemental punches and combines it all into one big punch, this attack does damage slightly lower than Hyper Beam with energy usage about the same as Hyper Beam, this attack has a 5% chance of partial freezing, a 5% chance of causing a burn, and a 5% chance of partial paralysis. This attack can only be used twice per battle.

Maxim: Male Machoke (level 3)
Bio: Maxim has a slight problem with his belt. This problem is that he doesn't like the fact that it only has two settings. So what did he do? He tried to "crank it up to 11". Unfortunately that didn't quite work and he just ended up breaking it. So instead he decided to attempt to crank up the power of any boosts he lays upon himself. Though they have to rely on Maxim's "protective" nature.
Special Training: MAXED OUT!
Any boosting move Maxim uses that boosts his Defense, or Speed grants an extra bonus to that stat of roughly 25% that of the original boost itself, and uses 25% more energy. Maxim cannot adjust the settings on his belt at any time. Any boost to Maxim's Special Attack or Special Defense only grants 75% that of the normal boost.

"Maxim. Break some skulls."

Round 1: {Ding!}

A slight lull in activity in the mall grants the perfect opportunity for a quick Pokémon battle. Good thing it's the middle of the week. An area off to the side of the main terrace is cleared of shoppers and stalls, and the trainers approach. On one side, Rangeet, sort of battling but sort of not, while on the other, Sneezey tries to build up some more wins. But who will triumph here?

First up from Sneezebag is a trusty Machoke, name of Maxim, who has served him well in previous battles. Rangeet counters with his own Fighting-type, a nameless Primeape. A showdown of brawlers here, one being far superior to the other, but who knows who'll come out on top?

Thus, any eye contact attacks an opponent uses will raise Mankey or Primeape's attack power and energy use for the next two rounds. During these two rounds, Mankey and Primeape will attack the one who did the staring incessantly, and will ignore any orders to attack something else.

Kicking off the battle, Primeape swiftly concentrates, Meditateng on the battle ahead and increasing his attacking strength into the bargain. However, Maxim hasn't been sitting idle, and as the primate looks up with his cleared head he stares straight down the barrel of an incoming Dynamic Punch, a glowing fist clocking him in the face and sending him reeling back. Fortunately for him, the concussive attack fails to confuse him, and he responds with a sizzling Thunderbolt, electricity zapping his opponent full-on for a nice returning blow. Shaking off the attack, Maxim performs his own boost for the future with a Curse, bulking up his muscles and gaining a larger boost to his defence than normal.

Both sides are about even in both stakes this early on, Primeape a hair ahead. Boosts galore.

Sneezey.

You're a good deal shorter than him and you don't exactly have the longest legs. Try to use your Strength to catch his leg and hold it. If that worked, use Submission to catch him in the best leglock you can do. If it didn't, Reversal the Heavy Slam.

I'm going to look so stupid if this doesn't work.

Round 2: Rangeet should watch less wrestling

Utilising his new boost, Maxim lunges forward, pivoting on his hands and going into a Low Sweep. Thanks to his speed cut, Primeape has enough chance to get ready, using his fists to catch the incoming legs. Thanks to Maxim's buffness, this still deals some damage, but Primeape pays it back by using his Strength to heft the larger Fighting-type overhead, smashing him into the floor, though Maxim's sig training cuts the damage he takes. Slightly stunned from the impact, Maxim takes a moment to get his wits about him, but in that time finds himself manhandled into a Submission hold, Primeape targeting his legs as he attempts to hyperextend Maxim's knee. This leaves the Machoke unable to manoeuvre properly for his next attack, though with the weight difference it shouldn't be too hard to break free...

A little more damage to Maxim, setting him off toward half, Primeape with a fair lead. The inverse is true for energy. Maxim's in a leglock, but as said, it shouldn't be too hard to break out.

Rangeet.

Round 3: y u do dis

Maintaining his leglock on his opponent, Primeape uses his Strength yet again to toss his foe around. Maxim reacts with a Reversal, catching his foe's hand between his now-free feet, pivoting on his hands to throw Primeape after him, the smaller Fighter being tossed by the motion while Maxim is just about able to stop himself crashing into a display. This leaves the two a few metres apart, Primeape blasting out a weakened Thunderbolt with the last of his Electric energy, zappin Maxim for a good blow. Shaking it off, the Machoke coats his body in Steel energy, rushing his target before leaping into the air, crashing down with a Heavy Slam, dealing some nice damage to his smaller target while pinning him under his larger weight and bulked-up muscles. Primeape is unable to escape as Maxim raises one of his fists, charging Fighting spirit within as he gathers his Focus, before ramming a Punch into the ape's gut. The impact forces the two apart, Primeape sliding away across the tiles beore picking himself up, looking battered, while Maxim pants from the exertion.

Maxim's just slid past the health midpoint, but his energy use was pretty spectacular, well under half. A boosted three-mover featuring Focus Punch has left him pretty tired, Fighting-type or not. Primeape's well under half health, not that far from the critical zone, and is just above half energy. He's not that tired, but Electric energy's gone. They're a few metres apart.

Oooh, he'll have to bend reaaaal low to Skull Bash you. Alright, sidestep it with a little Agility. He should be on the ground from that alone, but if he's not, Low Kick and make him. Either way, once he's on the ground, Brick Break the injured leg into the ground.

Round 4: The train of thought has left the station

Taking moment to catch his breath, Maxim coats his head in a white aura before lunging at his opponent with a Skull Bash, not really bending that low because Primeape's two-thirds of his height. Not that it matters, the fresher Fighter using some Agility to sidestep the Machoke, causing him to rush past before slowing down, looking around. Just as he gets a lock on his foe's location, Primeape swings in with a Low Kick, knocking Maxim's legs out from under him and sending him sprawling to the ground with a grunt of surprise. Before the humanoid can react, Primeape chops down on his leg with a Brick Break, dealing some extra damage thanks to being against the floor, but not doing much more because this is slapstick.

Maxim was the only one to take damage, plummetting to just under Primeape on that count, not far from critical. Primeape used the greater energy, now the more tired, but he's got more left in the tank, far under half while Maxim's nearing critical. Boosts are fading, they're close, Maxim's on the floor, Rangeet's used a three-mover.

Round 5: Rangeet, I am disappoint

With Primeape now the tiring one, the ape catches his breath for a second before lunging into his opponent. However, he doesn't get much into his Close Combat before Maxim's glowing foot catches him with a Mega Kick, dealing some good damage to the other Fighter and sending him reeling back from the impact. The Machoke gets to his feet, wincing a bit from the various torture applied to one of his limbs, while Primeape does the same. Both go to attack, but Maxim's fast Bullet Punch snipes Primeape just as he begins his Swift. Steel energy and a couple of stars exchange places, but only one Fighter goes down, KOd by a hair's breadth.

Primeape is unable to battle!

Maxim's looking bad, deep into critical in both health and energy. He won't be taking much punishment or doing much before he goes down. For what it's worth, Steel is getting low.

H'm. Would've thought he'd be slightly higher on the health front.

Stone Cold. Quick Attack and Psywave.

N.B Despite the description saying Quick Attack does light damage the damage scales use it as an example of mild damage. Considering Mach Punch, Bullet Punch etc etc do mild damage, I'd leave it to you to figure out.
